All elujah by the grades of God. Yeah, some of

us want to I want to encourage you that even

as you are in the first week. Yeah, you have

two ways to go. I want to encourage you to

continue keeping the faith. Amen, continue to go strong, continue

to press in. For those of you who are new

to X church X churches embarking on a season of

prayer and fasting, Yeah, for twenty one days. Twenty one

days derived from the Book of Daniel, and Daniel fasted

because he was really desperate for God to move, right,

God to move. So we're gonna, we're gonna. Yeah, something

is acting up here. Someone is clearly not happy that

I'm speaking this morning. Come on, we are gonna we

are gonna cast out. Oh h We're gonna speak against

the enemy. Stop. That's your sign to kill the all right,

all right, praise Lord. Lord is good. Amen, Come on God,

it is good all the time. All right? Can I

have my slights up this morning? We're going to be

studying or we are going to be going through the

Book of Hooseia. Anyone know are familiar with the Book

of Hosea. Yeah, I'm not gonna ask you the raise

up your hands. But Hosea is a book where it's

written with a lot of encouragement. Yeah, but it takes

a lot of analogy. You know, you're going to read

it and you're going to go like, actually, what is

God trying to say through this book? And in fact,

this book started off with God actually given an instruction

to Hosea. Now some contexts. If you need extra context,

chapter by chapter overview, all right, of the Book of Hoseia.

All right, So Hosea is a prophetic book that uses

the marriage Everyone say marriage, any single people in the

house today, Oh my gosh. Hey, by the way, I

just tell you all something fun. Did you know the

actually means that in the actual language, it actually means,

Hosea is a prophetic book that uses the principle of marriage,

and not just any marriage, a marriage between a prophet,

one's chosen of God and one of the lowest lowest.

and rahab was the genealogy of Jesus. By In this

same light, there's a woman called Goma. Yeah, Goma was

also a prostitute. Now, how many of you, now, if

you receive an instruction from the Lord go and marry

a woman that is in that field of work, how

many of you will be shaken? Come on, how many

of you will be shaken? Just really think about it.

You are a man of God. You are appreciing the

word of God, you are living the life, you're doing ministry.

You're doing so well, and suddenly God comes to you

and say, I tell you what, my dear son, this

is what you should do. Now. I'm not saying that

every instruction is like going marry that prostitute. No, And

God loves the prosecute. Amen. God loves them. I'm just

trying to get your to imagine that one day, if

you receive an instruction from the Lord that is away

from the norm, how would you react. Yeah, it's easy

to obey when it is something that makes sense. For example,

for example, person A, leave your job and apply for

this job, and you go to the job and you

see like four forty percent agreement. Is it easy to

follow the instruction that's given by God? It's very simple, right, Yes, Lord,

entire fortyen chapters of Hoseia right, go through it, because

it's a wonderful book. It's a wonderful book in the

Old Testament. But the context is that issue is unfaithful,

and it shows how God's people kept turning to idols

in the bog of Hosea. They keep turning the idols

found securities and shallow devotion. That means from the outside

they look like good people, they look like people who

worship God, but on the inside there's something that is

Do not just see that and go like, oh, tune

off or start checking your phones. Though, really, if it's

Let me get this? Oh all right? So next night

we're gonna talk about fast thing. This morning, and I

have a statement to start us off. Biblical fasting is

not just giving up something, amen, Bibigal fast thing is

not just giving up something. Many of us think that

fast thing is giving up our ability to eat meat.

For example, I was on a vegetable fast, not abstaining

from vegetables, because that's very easy. But I was on

a vegetable fast MEAs I only partook of vegetables. I

allowed some tolerances here and there. But I tell you what,

the moment I broke my fast yesterday. Because I do

a week by week fast, I changed my fast week

by week. But I really miss meat. It's really really

vital in my life. And I thought I was almost

going To'm not gonna make it. Tell you what, when

I tasted that buck good day yesterday, Who praise the Lord.

The Lord is good, Thank God for klang alayah. I

It's not only about abstinence. It is about alignment, affection, surrender,

and waiting on God until your hearts come home. Yeah.

So it's not just about giving up something abstinence, it's

about giving to God what is right. And what is

right is your alignment to him. It's your affection to him.

When you look to God, you looked at him affectionately. Husbands,

can you look at your wife's right now? Give her

or him the most affectionless look that you can ever give.

Come on, show affection right now, not in a physical way,

but in your eyes, husband's word? Can you come on?

So are you closing your head? Are your data? Oh?

Look look wise, look back, look back? Do you feel

do you feel the love? Do you feel the affection. Sorry, comen, John,

Do you look at God and you go like the Lord,

you know experience that? But is that? Is that how

we approach our creator in heaven? What is right? What

is right is surrender? Do you surrender what you have

unto him? Do you surrender your decisions to Him before

making one? Amen? And what is right is waiting on

God until our hearts come home. We're gonna we're gonna

touch a little bit on the two words that is highlighted.

questions for this morning. Our bodies may be in church,

some many of you in church this morning. Praise the Lord.

You made it. Give yourself a pan on your back

or your hands. Yeah, you made it. Praise the Lord

you made it. But you are here, you are all

dressed up, you all look good. But can I just

give you all another point of view? Could it be

that our hearts can still be far from God even

if we are here we're see it in this place.

But could it be? Could it be? I'm not saying

that it is, Raise the Lord if it's not. But

could it be that there is a possibility that we

can be seated right here looking at me eye to eye,

but yet you're still very far, so close, but yet

so far, so near, but yet so distant. I'm just

taking the time to reflect because it's a very hatey statement,

it right, it's a very heavy statement to think of,

that we can be here, but yet we are not here.

Next sly XTV. Thank you. So God is just trying

to encourage us this morning to not just give something up,

but give him what is right again, to wait on

God until our hearts come home, until our heart is returned.

And what is a returning heart. A returning heart is

when our inner life, our inner being, returns back to

his right place in God where he originally created it,

when He originally created men. His intention is so that

he can have a fellowship with us. He men, that's

his desire. Do you know that that's the desire of

our God. He desires to have a fellowship with us.

He desires to have a relationship with us. That x

TV that is gone. We stay before God long enough,

I say again, we stay before him long enough for

him to do and inward work in us. Giving what

is right also means waiting upon the Lord. In scripture says,

those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like egos. How many

of you desire that for your life this morning? How

many of you desire a breakthrough in him this morning?

But did you know that in order to wait upon

the Lord, the word wait over here means that to stay.

It means to stay long enough for Him to do

it in ward work in us. Let me give you

an illustration. Paul, one of the greatest apostles to ever live,

one of the the one who wrote majority of the

New Testament. Did you know that prior to his ministry

he had to wait upon the Lord. He waited not

one year, not two years, not even ten years. He

waited thirteen years before he was used by the Lord,

before the Lord's sake go. But prior to that, he

had no inkling on when it was the right time.

All he heard was to wait because he had to

get something that's ready within him. Many of us here believers.

In fact, the world is teaching us nowadays everything is fast, fast, fast,

Everything is now now now, everything is yesterday, should be done.

But did you know that when it comes to God,

most of the time, in my experience, waiting is always

key because waiting brings about something that is really, really different.

You can't rush waiting when you're a big a bread.

You can't rush the process. Amen. What happens if you

mould the flower or something you call it flower? Yeah,

and then you place it into a container and you

put it straight at the oven. No? Is that how

you do it? No, you have to wait for it

to prove. You have to wait for it to rise.

There's always a process when it comes to everything. And

when I look at bakery, I'm always reminded about God's

love for us. Because you put it in too soon,

it's not gonna work. You put it in too long,

it's gonna tata. Everything is gonna be. Everything must be

in its time. Amen, but waiting here. May I just

encourage you. Even as you look at the word waiting,

are you looking at it from this perspective? Are you

saying to God, God, no matter what, I'm gonna wait

here until something changes within my heart. I'm gonna wait

here even though you are silent. I'm gonna wait here,

even though you have not given me a sign. Christian's

believers in this place, I will to encourage you that

it's not some As believers, we are not ought to

always look for the next thing. Yeah, we always were

always wanting to move from one place to another. But

I'll tell you what. When Paul was moving around and

when he was doing his ministry, he did not even

know where he was going next. Did you know that

it was a holy spirit that revealed to him where

to go step by step. Amen. So we got to

get comfortable with waiting. We got to get comfortable with silence.

We got to get comfortable with the concept of waiting

long enough until something changes within us. Amen, and friends

and family. I want to encourage you this morning that

there is a way to wait upon the law. There's

a way to get there, and fasting is one of

the best express ways to get thing towards what He

has in store for us. Amen. So we're gonna talk

a little bit about fasting, and we're gonna go deeper

in the book of Hoseiah. By doing so, can I

the next like very quickly, some of us prayed this prayer, right, yeah,

a lot of us praise is prayer? You mean an accident? Yeah,

we got you get into something bad? What do we pray?

God send me a mechanic. And then when the Kassas

the next person, you go like, God, what is going on?

I'm the one that that that that lost the tire,

and I don't know change tire. You know, I've seen

so many people right puncture tier beside just rendered there.

we pray this prayer God change my situation. This is

sound familiar. Yeah, those of you who have done your

I don't know why you still have to go back

a fast, you may be thinking that you're fasting for

a specific need. Of you enter the fast, you have

a specific need already. Lord. I'm praying for a breakthrough. Lord.

I'm praying for a new direction in my job. Lord.

I'm praying Lord for healing. I'm praying for my family.

I'm praying for my kids. I'm praying for ministry. We

come together, me and Rachelle right, and sometimes we say,

we've got to pray for our church. We've got to

pray for our ministry, We've got to pray for our team.

So we start off fast and we start praying. Right,

we start praying. It's fast to pray because we don't

just fast without prayer. But I kind of appreciates last week

fast thing is prayer. It dependents on God. But when

we fast, we start praying God in the name of Jesus.

But you heal brother children. Let me just give you

a real life example. Okay, we will make body children

whole again. And that's all prayer. That's all prayer. We're

colling pray for brother children. But while you wait on God,

you may discover certain things in your life. But I

kind of use the analogy of chips water, take some

more chick, some tire, chick something young. Yeah. Right, you

enter the house, you're looking for the bride, and what

you find is something different. You know, me and my wife,

my wife especially, Sorry to put you on the spot last. Sorry, okay,

I just say sorry in first before I share this out.

But she has this beloved beloved, Can I say any

any anymore? What's the thing? What's the thing called? No,

the the orange color thing that can can do the

carrots son? What is it called shaver pillar piller? So

there's this orange one that to me, there's a job. Well,

but I tell you what, Rachelle has a white one,

white one that I tell you what. It does the

job like no other pillow can ever do. Recently, she

was trying to make carrot salad. Carrot salad, I don't know.

She asked me one someone. I said that one. So

I was so annoying because I was like, it's just

So praise the Lord while we're finding. So one day,

So you may be looking for something in your life.

You may be praying for a breakthrough, but while looking

for it, you may find something else that you do

not even know that you have lost. I've forgotten about you, ready,

I really forgotten about it. And my theory is stuggles.

My cat took my car and heed it. I tell

you what, if I open my sofa right now, I'll

find a lot of things. She has just this way

of just hiding things. So when you're fasting church, you

may be having a specific prayer and praise the Lord

if he gets answered. But sometimes you wait on the Lord.

You may discover that, hey, perhaps my fast has led

me to a place where I realized that my heart

is beginning to feel a little bit impatient, and perhaps

God is trying to touch that part of your life.

God is saying that, Hey, I tell you what. You

may start off, you're fast with a knee, a specific need.

But when God leads you and then you wait on him.

Because when you fast, that's what you do.

Right.

What do you do when you fast? You're supposed to

fast lunch. What do you do while you fast your lunch?

Go and play computer game? Yeah? No, you're supposed to

wait upon the Lord. When I do that in my work,

I wait upon him. I just sit there. Literally, Yeah,

I just sit there in a stone. People look at

me dating stoning, la, But just close my eyes and

I'm not sleeping. I'm just talking to him. I can't

do whre long la, okay, Because I tell God, God

is when I fast, my write and my my normal

lunch bell how long I take to eat the ch

chicken rice five minutes? So I just give them five

minutes a lot, Okay, anyway, sometimes it's longer. Sometimes it's longer, right,

So we tend to do this, and we tend to

realize and I realize it. Sometimes you come to a

place where you realize that, hey, I'm getting a little

bit impatient here. God, I tell you what I've been

in full time four years, but I haven't seen the fruits.

And it gets dangerous when you start to put your

own work, you put your own hand, or you turn

to certain people. You turn to people like John and

you go like John, I tell you what this is

what I'm going through. Or you turn to Rachel. Rachel,

you know what this is what I'm going through, And

I tell you I need your support. I need your

support in ministry, Rachel, and who is amazing right in ministry?

You turn to her instead of relying on God, Instead

of relying on God to give you a direction, return

to man and you go like, Man, can you give

me the solution? Tell me where to go? Because I

believe in you. I believe that you you will present

the voice of God. Although that may be true, but

I want to encourage you to wait upon the Lord,

wait for his voice. Some of us our love for

God has cooled. You may start off that fast thinking that, hey,

I'm praying for the healing of my firstborn. He's going

he or she is going through a certain Cuddain sickness,

and all our attention, all our love is on that child.

But God is trying to look at you and say that,

my child, where is your love for me? And before

I answer your prayer? I want you to return to

me first and first the family. Do you know that

as long? Sometimes you may think that if we experience

something that is not our breakthrough and you go like, hey,

but God, then where when is my tone? When am

I going to experience the prayer that I've been praying for.

I want to encourage your friends, if you align yourself

to the will of God, God will answer your desires. Amen.

for him drawing near to him, aligned to him. Where

some of these other prayers get answered? Amen? It's like

of us know that we fast not just to be empty?

We fast so that in our emptiness we may encounter God. Next,

in our emptiness we may encounter God. So this morning,

I'm going to talk to you in three main points,

us of fouse promises of fousefulness. Fasting also exposes and

breaks hardened ground, and fasting positions us for true encounter

with God. The next slight will show you a picture

of Israel. I believe, correct me if I'm wrong. Now,

the Kingdom of Israel was split into two regions, right,

the first region being the Northern king of Israel, which

we call it Ephraim, right during the and this is

during the reign of King Jobalm. The second yeah, this

is the story of Hoaiah. The second half was Judah, right,

the King of Judah. Now the blue one is kind

of Israel, the origin of the King of Judah. And

we're going to focus on the kind of Israel this morning.

This is the season in which it is the most

the most politically stable and prosperous. Time they miss. Everything

seems to be going well, you know, Israel has not

always been like that. Sometimes there's war, sometimes there is femine,

there's a lot of struggle. But this was the season

where it is the most stable. And how many of

you know that in the most stable situations you tend

to go away from God, you tend to forget about him. Yeah,

but it was, it was, It was the most prosperous. However,

spiritually and the moral standards will be gaining decay. The

main issue that we face was idolatory Israel. They faced idolatory.

They place other things, objects of people in place of God.

There was the main problem that was face and God's

love for Israel was shown through the Book of Isaiah

despite her unfaithfulness. Now I'm just giving you some some

illustrations before we start, and this was illustrated through Isaiah's

personal life. Sure, if there is a line that has disappeared,

maybe I didn't didn't put it up over there. Yeah,

it's illustration through his personal life. And this was the

instruction that God given to Oseia Hosea, marry this woman. Yeah,

the next light and we're gonna go on. The first

point for you this morning is that fasting empty earths

of foalse promises Joseach of the five verse fifteen. Joseage

of the five verse fifteen. He says, I will return

again to my place till they acknowledge their offenses. Then

they will seek my face in their affliction. They will

earnestly seek me. In their affliction, they will earnestly seek me.

Matthew five verse six says, Blessed are those who hunger

and urse for righteousness, for they shall be feel You know,

the Kingdom of God does not promise feeling to those

who are casually interested. Yeah, the Kingdom of God does

not promise a feeling of the spirit to those who

are casually interested, meaning so for some of us. Yeah,

And this will remind to myself as well. If you

come to God with a casual appetite, we will not

be filled. He says again, and I really again, Blessed

are those who hunger and turns for righteousness, for they

shall be filled. You know, God said that he will

withdraw and in their affliction they will earnestly seek him.

You're going by the book of Hoseaya. He said he

will withdraw, and in the affliction they will earnestly see him.

You know, this tells us something very important Church, that

sometimes we as people, we do not seek God deeply

until we realize that once that the thing that once

satisfies us can no longer satisfy us anymore. And this

is what fasting does to us as well as where

in this season of fasting, as we take away what

use that we used to enjoy and we continue to

seek Him earnestly, that's where we will find the answers

to what God is trying to speak to us in

our affliction. We will earnestly seek Him. And sometimes we

do not realize how fool we are of other things

until fasting begins to empty us. What are we talking

about this morning? We're talking about false emptiness, foulstfulness. How

many of you here have eaten at to a point

where you're very, very full, maybe a buffet, right, you

have eaten so much until your soul full? How many

of you here think that you are filled with the

presence of God this morning? Nobody? Nobody? Amen, Oh man,

I pray that you will you will be filled with

His love, Because there is such a thing as false fullness. Church.

You can be fool but not fulfilled. You can be

surrounded but still spiritually dry. You can be surrounded by

so many people who love God in this place, but

yet you live this place thinking like, hey, what what

did I just hear? What do I just learn? What

just entered me? You can be busy, but inwardly you

are disconnected. You can be eating every day by yet

you're starving your soul. So Church, fouls fullness is when

our inner life is crowded with the things that keeps

us from hungering rightly for God XTV. If you can

follow me, it is the next light. So I want

you to just reflect right now what is actually feeling you? Now?

I remember the hand on hat. It's just a pointer

for you to start thinking what is actually feeling you

and what is keeping your life crowded? Take the next

minute or so to just reflect. It's a time of reflectioner,

that's why I'm silent. What is actually feeling you? Church?

And don't just look at the outward Please, don't just

look at like, oh, you know what my calendar is like?

There this that? No, Really dive deep into your heart

and ask yourself what is actually keeping a life crowded?

To give you some examples, it can be comfort, It

can be a routine. It can be a distraction, entertainment.

My wife just muttered the word pickable to me. Yeah,

perhaps self reliance. What is actually feeling us this morning? Control?

How you like to have control all your life? How

many of you love it when you wake up in

the morning and you know exactly what's gonna happen. There's

a routine. What happens when God breaks up your routine?

What do you do? You start cursing, you start shouting

and start wailing. You know, there was once I always

break with my wife. I always break line, and it's

not a good thing to do so, but I have

this ego, this pride. I go to her and I Rochelle,

did you know that in my twenty years of driving,

I not once entered an accident, not even once for her.

I don't know whether I can say the same. Yeah,

but she's a very safe driver. I can say that

she's a very safe driver. I am not that safe, Okay, Yeah,

so I always bragged I never got to accident one

fine morning when I was on the way. Now it

was a Tuesday morning. Yeah. And for those of you

who know I work full time in a ya Asian

youth ambassadors, and I was assigned to lead worship for

staff devotion on Tuesday morning. So I was there and

I was like, oh, there was a few times I

was just adjusting her. By the way this happened, I

think about a year and a half ago, I was

still adjusting to my new work. Yeah, and I always

struggled to reach office early enough to prepare the slides

and everything. And ideally I need about forty five minutes

to practice the cards because I'm not a great singer,

the tea, but every time I reach eight fifty because

It's very very bad. And I faced so much problem

borrow that I'd make this decision. And then suddenly finally

do you mean, do what's right? I already offered to

go away, and I already knew, I already knew where

where it causes us to rely more and depend on him.

So now I no longer have the decimony of never

getting into an accident. I no longer able to brag

about that. But now I left with a new found

understanding that, hey, I tell you what, you can have

all the control in the world. But sometimes when God

wants you to learn something. He will make you learn it,

and sometimes it will be the hard way and it

may not be what you're seeking. So in this season

of prayer and fast thing, no matter what it is

you're seeking from the Lord, break through or what I

pray that it will come to fulfillment. But do not

be surprised if something deeper on Earth's amen. So what

is really feeling your lives when they're close? With a

few more examples emotional dependence? Who do you turn to

when you're in need? Even religious activities like coming to church?

Is that feeling your life? Because you can be here again?

But you're not here? The intimacy is not there, next,

next light, next TV. Sometimes the question in fasting is

not just what am I eating? Sometimes the deeper question

is what has been feeding me besides God? So Church,

what has been feeding you besides God? Again? The heart

is over there? Questions where or what do I run

to when I'm tired? What do I rich for when

I'm stress? What do I lean on when I feel uncertain?

This one's important. What comforts me faster than prayer? Where

do we find comfort the moment you're stress, you turn

to your wife, and the wife gives you a nice

massage and something that stress just goes away. Where do

you turn to Have you ever thought about it this way,

that that stress feeling that you are having, maybe it

is God putting you through that season and all you're

trying to do is to get out of it. Have

you ever thought about it this way? We are trying

to solve things that perhaps God has placed us in.

This is why fast thing is not only just removing.

It is a revelation of what God is trying to

speak to us. It is in that fasting you things

get revealed to us. It shows us what has occupied

too much space in us. That's not fasting us. It

shows us that actually what has been feeling you. Perhaps

it's something that's causing you to have that false sense

of perspective that you're actually full. Perhaps it's that morning

Bible verse daily that you're reading your version. Oh yeah, God,

I am reading MA every day. I get notification verse

of the day. Now, please do not feel offended. Okay, please,

there's you just keep doing it. Yeah, But the question

here is really let's go deeper are which is depending

on verse of the day, Because did you know that

verse of the day. Did you know how it came? What?

Did you know how verse of the day? Do you

think someone in the U version app actually sit down

more in the in early in the morning, prays to God, God,

what shall be the verse of the day today? And

then he gets a revelation from God and he puts

it in John three sixteen. Did you think that's how

your version work? I found out that it is Ai.

So if you're saying that God speaks to you true Ai,

true verse of the day through an elger Rim, then

perhaps it's time the thing again. Yes, he may. He

may cause the stars to align and you're going through

something and suddenly Verse of the day pops up and

that's the exact something then you're going through. But are

you going to continuously depend on that? Because God is

trying to take you on a journey where it where

it requires you to put this thing away, to put

this thing away, to pick this up and go like, God,

what are you saying to me? Huh, you mean I'm

supposed to put my eyesac on the outdoor. The job

that you have just given to me. Now I'm supposed

to give it up, the job that comes with the

six figure salary that you're just given to me, that

you promise me. I don't know a fast love God,

because when I first write, you start revealing things that

I don't actually want. You start to reveal things that

are actually in the heart that is causing you to

actually feel and think that you are actually fool that

you do not need God. But when God realizes that,

when the Holy Spirit knows the condition of the heart,

he wants to bring you back because he knows he

knows where you truly are at in your life, that

he just wants to bring you back to a place

of full reliance on him. He Men. You may start

off being fully reliant, but when you start being blinded

and being sudden things that start to cloud your vision,

you start to turn away from him. That's where God

wants to bring you back. Amen, So can we have

the next light? When we are full of things that

are not gone, there is very little room left for

genuine encounter. Amen, There's very little room left for genuine encounter.

That's what hoseaoh five If says that they will seek

my face, don't notice the language. It does not say

sick my hand, It does not says seek my miracles.

Know it says, seek my face, that is, knowing who

God is, a man, his nature, not his works. And

in that reflect in our affliction, we will genuinely seek him.

Next light, fast thing takes us away from what numbs us,

so that we can recover what truly nourishes us. Amen.

So that's what fast thing does for us. The first

thing also exports roses and breaks hardened ground. That's what

fasting does. Hoseah ten to twelve says, So for yourself righteousness,

reap in mercy. Break up your fellow ground, for it

reigns righteousness on you. Jeremiah fo three also says. Ford

says the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem,

break up fellow ground, and do not so among the tones.

Can I get a good Amen? Do not sow among

the torns. The phrase that stands out in the Book

of Isaiah ten twelve says, break up fellow ground. What

is fellow ground? Fellow ground is a ground that has

been left untouched. The next light, it is unworked soil heart, soil,

soil that has not been broken open, soil that is

not ready to receive seed and rain properly, and sometimes

our hearts needs to be broken up. And this is

what fasting does. The heart can become hard, not only

true rebellion, but true disappointment. I want you to check

your hearts right now. Is that true? Is that true

in your lives? That your heart can can become hard

not only true rebellion. Because some of us we associate

our the hardening of our hearts to something that is drustick,

or we stop coming to church, we stop going, we

stop giving, and then we feel like, oh, that is

hardening of our hearts. But did you know that disappointment

can also live lead to you hardening your hearts. Not

only true sin, says the next slight, but true delay,

true delay. Oh God, I've been waiting for this call

from the HR for two months now and I have

not received a call. God, you don't care about what

I'm going through. Can't you see the bills that I

doing so well. And you look at your own self

and you go like, what are you doing? What are

you doing? Then you start the heart in your heart,

and communion becomes a monthly thing, and it slowly becomes

a yearly thing. Break up fellow ground not only true compromise,

but true repetition and familiarity he Brews three twelve to

thirteen says, beware, brethren, if you have your Bibles, you

can turn to them. Okay, I'm just gonna rush a

little bit because of time. But he Brews three twelve

to thirteen says, be where, brethren, Lets there be any

of you, any of you, an evil heart of unbelief

in departing from the living God. Let any of you

be hardened thrue the deceitfulness of sin. Sometimes the heart

grows hard because of pain, that's the next light. Sometimes

because of a prayer that felt unanswered. Sometimes it's also

because of long seasons of responsibility. Tell me of your

thinking diet. Because you're serving in church for five years now,

maybe some of you ten years, and you start to

feel like I tell you what I've been going on

and on and on. I have a very honest conversation

with Elder Beanngle that day, and he encouraged me by

just saying, keep on going on. Some of you here

do you do? You do? You start your journey as

a parent excited. Now your kid is six years old

and you're still very excited. And then now it's twelve

and you're going like that, Tell you what I'm going

to give up? Is there an option? Parents keep on

going on long seasons of responsibilities given to you. Sometimes

our heart grows hard because we keep functioning without truly processing,

and it's all we do is self. You know, engine

doesn't need to have maintenance one. Yeah, my car has

been reminding me for the longest time, going service to

your car, reminding me again and again and again and again.

I keep ignoring it. I hope that I will not

leave to regret it. I better go and service it soon.

But you got to You got to process what's going

on in your life. Sometimes our hearts is hardened because

perhaps we have learned how to do church without being

soft before God. We feel that I tell you what,

as long as I come to church every Sunday, it's

going to be a As long as I open the

Bible every day, it is going to be okay. Did

you know that perhaps that could also lead to a

hardened heart. A hardened heart that is so used to repetition,

a hardened heart that is so used to control, and

when God starts to move a little bit, you start

But hey, God, I'm fasting for my father's healing. But yeah,

God is answering you through different things. I tell you what.

You better watch your countenance, better watch your pride, you

better watch your spiritual dullness, because only you and I

know that, Hey, Daniel, you do not open the book

my book every morning to read. And he encourages us

that way, because he's saying God, he's saying Daniel, he's saying,

he's saying Rochelle, he's saying John, he's saying, go open

the book because I want to speak to you. Firsting

exposes that he exposes, and he breaks hardened ground. Can

for a true encounter with God. Hoseiah Chatter fourteen, verse

one to four. This is the last book of the

Book of Hoseiah. He says, Oh Israel, return to the

Lord your God, for you shall for you have stumbled

because of your iniquity. Take words with you and return

to the Lord. Say to him take away all iniquity.

Receive us grace, for we shall. For we will offer

the sacrifices of our lips as Syria shall not save us.

We will not ride on horses, nor will we say

any more to the work of our hands. You are

our gods, small g for in you you for in

you the fallowless fine mercy. I will heal their backsliding.

I will love them freely. For my anger has turned

away from him. Amen, anger has turned away from him.

After all the warning, all the exposure, all the correction,

This is God's encouragement to all of us. The invitation

of God is still to return to the Lord your God. Amen,

After everything that issue has done in this season, after

all the idols they have worshiped, after all the unfaithfulness

it is they had, the invitation remains the same. This

is a beautiful but in the bah. But of course,

if you're further read, you know that the third people

alone is my source. It is a way of saying, Lord,

I do not want you to keep leaning. I don't

want to keep leaning on things that truly cannot hold me.

I want to encounter you, the one who heals, the

one who restores, and the one who loves freely. And

this is the amazing thing. When the people of Israel

starts to renounce the found saviors, this is what the

Lord promised on them. This is God's response. He will

heal their backsliding and he will love them freely. Amen.

This is despite of all of the things that the

the ture of Israel has done. God said that if

you return to me, this is what I will do

for you. He meant, and that's what fasting does. The

next light? Is there next light? If you have your Bible,

we're gonna turn to this book, this this verse, and

they're gonna close. Isaiah fifty five, verses six to seven.

Isaiah chapter fifty five, verse six to seven. You're gonna say, Amen,

He says, seek the Lord while he may be found,

call upon him while he is near. Let the wicked

forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let

just want to present our bodies as a living sacrifice

unto you. Lord, whatever fast that we are going through,

let us come to a realization. God, that is indeed

not about what we want and what we desire, but Lord,

is about what you desire for our lives. So Lord,

this morning, as an alignment, can I just get everyone

here to just stand your feet, and I'm just gonna

bless each and everyone here. If that's you, you want

to align your fast back to the Lord. You're saying,

you know what. I have entered into the fast, perhaps

with not the right spirit, But God, I just want

to bring myself back to you again. I want to

hear you. I have two weeks left of what I'm

doing intentionally, but God, I don't want to leave. I

don't want to leave these three weeks not hearing from you. Once. God,

I want to hear your voice. If that's you, I

want to encourage you to raise your hands and right

now we just want to pray over you this morning.

Thank you, Lord Father, in the name of Jesus. Lord,

we want to encounter you. We want to hear your voice,

Holy Spirit, Begin to minister right now, begin to speak

to us God. Indeed, Lord God that if we have

started off on the wrong foot not I pray that

you will bring us back to you at the end

of the day. Lord God, we really, we really are

desperate to hear what you have in store for us.

Speak to us. Our prayer needs. All of that is

just secondary. We want to know you more. We want

to know you deeper, cause our hearts to not be

hard on God. Help us, Lord, help us realize that

perhaps that very thing that has been keeping us full

all this world, we need to empty it. We need

to empty it from our lives. We need to think

that thing that once that is taking the place of God.

I mean to take it and put it aside so

that you can come in and you can feel us again.

I'm just sensing that some of us in this place,

God is just trying to come in. He's trying to

pour his living waters into your hearts. But yet nothing

is going in because it's already full. There's no space

left for God. Your stomachs may be empty, but your

hearts are full of things that it's not him, and

he's just trying to speak to you. This morning. I

just sense that there are people in this place that

needs to start to surrender right now. Surrender whatever that

is bothering you. Surrender whatever that is on your thoughts

and on your minds, and learn to rest upon the Lord.

Learn to wait upon him this morning. Learn to wait

upon the Lord, and you will cause you to rise

up like the wings of eagles. He will cause you

to walk and not be wary. It cause you to

run and not faint. Lord like, in the name of Jesus, Lord,

we just declare life and life more abundantly over your

children here this morning. Begin to feel them as they

begin to take up things that are perhaps taking your place.

Little by little, Lord, we pray for your spirit to

just flow, and as you come into our hearts, Lord God,

I pray that those things will begin to come out

of our hearts. And we desire to walk with you.

So renew our hearts again, turn our hearts back to

you Jesus, as we can depend on you. Heal our

backsliding God.

Heal.

Our hearts causes to beat again for you. So again,

those that are really sicking for God to just come

true for you in these three weeks or in these

two weeks that are left, why don't you just raise

up your hands once again. The Lord bless you, The

Lord keep you. The Lord caused his face to shine

upon you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,

and give each and every one of you peace, the

peace of the Lord that surpasses all understanding. May his

peace rests upon you. May his voice be ever so

clear in the coming days as you focus on him,

and as you draw near to him. Now we declare this,

and we steal all of this in the name of Jesus.

Pray and all who believes, say, Amen, Amen, Why don't

we give God a short of praise?
