You're listening to a message to go from at church
-
well home. This message will light up your.
-
TEA theme for this year in X Church is revival. Amen.
-
And so I want to start speaking about that. And
-
I know that all our pictures in X Church has
-
been briefed to prepare on this topic that the Lord
-
has given to us.
-
So I want to just share something with you now.
-
I'm not even sure whether you heard this message before,
-
because the Lord gave it to me about maybe fifteen
-
years ago. I think here and there, big meetings or
-
small meetings, I've shared it, but I was glad to
-
share it again today. So I asked was the Stephen
-
was Stephen, have you heard this message? He said, not
-
in the past year, in the past year, That's what
-
I mean. That's all right, that's all right. So some
-
of you are knew, you know in the pasty you
-
joined us, or maybe you haven't heard it. Maybe those
-
of you are older here, maybe you've heard it. But
-
it's okay to revise and review and to repeat. You know,
-
some of these messages that Go has given us. I
-
want to acknowledge in our miss our dear brother Yong Hui,
-
who was a student when he first came to us
-
many many years ago.
-
Do you know yong Hui? Yeah, and young he comes.
-
From Allo Star and Yonghui was with us I think
-
maybe what twenty years ago two thousand and one as
-
a student and now are you a lecturerer teacher in
-
a school, teacher in a school.
-
One thing I remember by Yonghuia is that he loves dudent.
-
I have never heard of a person that can eat
-
doudent for breakfast, lunch, and dinner by Yonghui and his family. Okay, anyway,
-
so Yonghu is really really good to see your brother, Amen,
-
Praise the Lord. Okay, let's put on the first slide
-
if you can help me x TV. And of course
-
the first light gives you the title revival. How many
-
you know that X Church yourself is a revival not
-
just ex Church EX Church, but X in the Book
-
of Acts. And most of us who want to be
-
like the Book of Acts, it's because we have a
-
desire to see the Holy Spirit palm and take over
-
and and and just bring about a revival where people
-
just awaken, you know, and the things that are difficult
-
becomes easy. You know, people are told you know why
-
don't you read your Bible? It'say oh, because you know
-
it's so boring. And then the revival comes, is no
-
longer boring. Can you wake up to do a quiet
-
time or yore?
-
I cannot. You don't understand. You know, I'm in this
-
excuse the.
-
Next excuse, right, And as the Holy Spirit comes and
-
there's no more excuses, people are able to wake up
-
in the morning and excite it as well. And so
-
there are many many things in our lives today that
-
are excusers that will only become non excusers when there's
-
a revival, when the Holy Spirit takes over. Okay, so
-
that's the what the next slight says. The next light says,
-
when God takes over. So that's really the Are you
-
looking at something that you need help with? Okay, Okay,
-
he's looking and somebody I'm thinking. You know, there's one
-
time when I was speaking uh in New Zealand and
-
someone was looking at me very long, and I didn't
-
I didn't, I didn't notice that he was looking at me,
-
and then later on I realized that my zip was
-
down the whole forty five minutes of preaching all.
-
So you're looking, I'm okay, my zip's okay again? All right?
-
Praise God? Yeah, yeah, yeah, stop.
-
Look at me.
-
No, he don't look at me. I think he's looking
-
something here, something falling.
-
No, okay, all right, cool, faying, thanks man, thanks, thanks
-
for carry all right. When God takes over, somebody say, amen,
-
how many of you want God to take over your life,
-
take over your family, take over your loved ones who
-
are not yet safe, take over some money, take over Nottingham.
-
Amen, come, Holy Spirit and take over.
-
Praise God now, uh, you know, we want him to
-
take over just like he did in the Book of
-
Acts Jazz, like he did in the Book of Acts.
-
You you, you should read it again.
-
If you haven't read the Book of Acts for a
-
long time, read it again from the very first chapter
-
to the last chapter, and you will just see God's fingerprint.
-
Okay, it's all God, all right.
-
The Church in Acts is known as the Church in Revival,
-
says the next slide. The Church in Acts is known
-
as the Church in Revival. It is often called the
-
acts of the Apostles, but it's truly the acts of
-
the Holy Spirit. It's not the act of the apostles alone,
-
because apostles didn't work alone. They worked under the anointing
-
and the power of the Holy Gods. Can I hear amen?
-
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of revival.
-
So this year we are saying we need more of him.
-
We want more of you. Holy Spirit.
-
Come, Holy Spirit, Come and take over our hearts, take
-
over our minds, take over our thoughts, take over, take over,
-
take over, take over our church, take of our worship,
-
take over our press service, take over ex kids. Come,
-
Holy Spirit, Come, we need you, Come take over. We
-
need more of you, Holy Spirit. How may of you know?
-
There's a verse that says, it's not my mind, nor
-
by power, by my spirit, says the Lord Za Crier
-
four six. Not by mind nor by power, but by
-
my spirit. So we want more of the Holy Spirit.
-
Acts one says you shall receive power when the Holy
-
Spirit has come upon you. Somebody say power. The Greek
-
word is dou namis or dynamite. Just radio explode inside
-
of you and explode through you to your surrounding, and
-
it will affect and impact.
-
Everyone around you.
-
Someone say, amen, you shall be my witnesses, or you
-
shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and in all
-
Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.
-
Now with that power, you shall be. Now we can
-
be without that power. That's what it also means. All
-
of us try to be and we fail. A lot
-
of us try to be victorious, but we fail. A
-
lot of us try to be free from sin, free
-
from sickness, but we fail. A lot of us try,
-
we try to come out of pornography, but we fail
-
so desperately because there is no power. So what we
-
need is the Holy Spirit power. Somebody say, amen, dynamite,
-
douna miss and we shall be. We shall be when
-
there is power. I just recently met some people, a
-
couple actually from Bintulu, and this couple are on fire
-
for God.
-
They just got got married in September, and they came
-
and they.
-
Had their honeymoon just recently because right after their wedding
-
in September, they couldn't have time to do their honeymoon,
-
so it is a sort of an extended honeymoon. And
-
they came to kl stayed very near KLCC twin towers,
-
and they called me h. They regard me like air
-
their spiritual father here in Peninsula Malaysia. So they wanted
-
meet me and a wife, who is I think Clabbate
-
clubbit She said to me. Clabate is a tribe from
-
East Malaysia. She said, past, I have a question for you.
-
She asked it in Malay because her English is not
-
as fluent. So she passed the bully bullys Tania and
-
so she she meant to ask me a question, and
-
I said, go ahead. So how do we get young
-
people interested in the things of God? Because she and
-
her husband are now in charge of young people in Bindulu,
-
or rather sib Bindulu, how do we get young people
-
interested in the things of God? We are eating teams
-
and uh it was. It was delicious, and it was
-
my treat for their wedding because I couldn't attend.
-
So the question was asked, and uh, I don't think
-
it's just for young people.
-
The question should be how do we get anyone interested
-
in the things of world? Not just young people. But
-
the question was young people. And so let's before you
-
get my answer that I gave to her, let's read
-
X two one to four x two one to four.
-
When the day of penticcourse had fully come, they were
-
all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there
-
came a sound from heaven, hallelujah, as of a rushing,
-
mighty wind, and he filled the whole house where they
-
were sitting. Then they appeared to them divided tongues as
-
of fire, and one sat upon each. Oh, hold on
-
a minute, are you looking at the right slides? Oh?
-
No, okay, my apologies, my apology. I had two messages.
-
I've got to give you the other one, so so
-
sorry for that two messages. But okay, let me do
-
this one now, Okay, anyway, just give you the answer
-
I told the young lady.
-
Is that the reason why you look at the slides? Okay,
-
you look at somebody.
-
Behiv Okay, all right, So I told the young lady,
-
I said, what the young people need is a personal
-
encounter with the Holy Spirit. Okay, now, let me now
-
go backwards and go to the message that God told
-
me to give you. So that's why I shouldn't be
-
giving you the other one, which is actually newer, but.
-
I'm going to save that for another day.
-
Extrach Team for twenty twenty six, let's look at this
-
one part of Dream twenty thirteen Revival, First Kings eighteen
-
twenty to thirty nine. Let's read that first kings, I
-
don't have it on the slides, but follow me please
-
as I read the word of God. All right, first, kings,
-
eighteen twenty to thirty nine, let's read so A have
-
said for all the children of Israel and gathered the
-
prophets together on Mount Carmel. And Elijah came to all
-
the people and said, what a way to get you in?
-
Just say in the end of message, I hope that
-
you will come for another meeting that I will Maybe
-
I will speak that as salt.
-
I don't know.
-
Maybe no, no, no, no, no no. So I there what a
-
pray praise coming up? Fourteen off March much, okay, okay,
-
maybe I'll share that one. Guess what you guys are
-
already no twenty percent of twenty percent, so you can
-
act like, oh, you know, I've heard of this before.
-
Elijah came to all the people and said, how long?
-
How long will you falter between two opinions? If the
-
Lord is God, follow him, but if Baal follow him?
-
But the people answered him not a word. Then Elijah
-
said to the people I alone and left the prophet
-
of the Lord. But Boo's prophets are four hundred and
-
fifty men that's a lot. Therefore, let them give us
-
two bulls, and let them choose one bull for themselves,
-
put it in pieces and lay it on the wood,
-
but put no fire under it. And I will prepare
-
the other bull and lay it on the wood, and
-
put no no fire under it. Then you shall call
-
on the name of of your gods, and I will
-
call on the name of the Lord, and the god
-
who answers by fire, he is God.
-
So all the people answered, and say it is well spoken.
-
Now Elijah said to the prophets a Baal, choose one
-
bull for yourselves, and prepare it first, for you are many,
-
and call on the name of your God, but put
-
no fire under it. So they took the bull which
-
was given them, and they prepared it and called on
-
the name of Baal.
-
From morning even till noon, saying, oh, Baal, hear us.
-
There was no voice. No one answered. Then they leaped
-
about the altar which they had made. And so it
-
was at noon that Elijah mocked them, said cry aloud,
-
for he is a god. Either he is meditating, or
-
he's busy, or he is on a journey, or perhaps
-
he is sleeping and must be awakened. So they cried
-
aloud and cut themselves as they as was their custom,
-
with knives and lances, until the blood gushed out on them.
-
And when midday was they prophesied until the time of
-
the offering of the evening sacrifice. Well, what a long
-
worshipper from morning to the evening. But there was no voice,
-
no one answered, no one paid attention. Then he led
-
usaid to all the people, come near to me. So
-
all the people came near to him. And he repaired
-
the altar of the Lord that was broken down, and
-
he lighted, took twelve stones, according to the number of
-
the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the
-
word of the Lord had come, saying, Israel shall be
-
your name.
-
There were the stones. He built an altar in the
-
name of the Lord.
-
And he made a trench around the altar, large enough
-
to hold two seers of seed. And he put the
-
wood in order, cut the bull in pieces, and laid
-
it on the wood, and said, fill four water points
-
with water and pour it on the burn sacrifice and
-
on the wood. Then he said do it a second time,
-
and they did it a second time, and he said
-
do it a third time, and he did it a
-
third time, ran all around the altar, and he also
-
filled the trench with water. And it came to pass
-
at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice
-
that Elijah the Prophet came near and said, Lord, God
-
of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known this
-
day that you are God in Israel, and I am
-
your servant, and that I have done all these things
-
at your word. Hear me, Oh Lord, hear me, that
-
these people may know that you are the Lord God,
-
and that you have turned their hearts back to you again.
-
Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the
-
burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust,
-
and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now,
-
when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces,
-
and they said, the Lord he is God, The Lord
-
he is God. Amen. The Bible says, as we just read,
-
let the God who answers by fire.
-
Be God. Let the God who answers by fire be God.
-
I want to remind all of us this morning that
-
our God answers by fire.
-
Just let us sink in for a moment.
-
I was many years ago at a rally in Indonesia.
-
It was a very very big event that I took
-
about eight of my leaders to go with me, and
-
the finale was held at the stadium.
-
One hundred thousand people came.
-
The speaker was Yongi Cho Cho Yongi, pastor Cho Yonge
-
at that time, pastor of the largest church in the world. Okay,
-
I think the church was about eight hundred thousand people
-
in South Korea, Yourido, Yourido Full Gospel Church. And as
-
Pastor Yongi Cho was speaking, he said he was speaking Korean.
-
He said that God used Korea or South Korea to
-
introduce to the world.
-
The prayer movement, prayer movement.
-
All right, and sure enough, everybody who ever talked about
-
let's do prayer, let's get into prayer, let's do more prayer,
-
will look at Youngi Cho pass Youngicho and his church
-
as an example. All right. All his pastors once upon
-
a time had to pray a minimum of three hours
-
a day. That was the minimum for every one of
-
passing Youngicho's passes at minimum.
-
Okay.
-
His mother in law was also a prayer warrior. She
-
will pray about four or five hours a day.
-
Okay. Then they started the prayer.
-
Mountain all right, where I also went with my team
-
to the prayer Mountain.
-
I went into a growtho. You know, a GROWTHO means a.
-
Little small room half into the mountain and there is
-
no lights. I had to actually go on all fours
-
and crawl. That's how small a little room is. I
-
had to crawl into the grow too, lock the door,
-
and I had to put shoes outside. Because some people
-
are praying that growth toe for one week. They fast
-
for one week and they pray and you can hear
-
them cry out to the Lord because the growth is
-
just about each growth is.
-
About ten feet away from each other.
-
But when the South Koreans are crying out to the Lord,
-
and you can hear it ten growths away, oh o,
-
Lord help me, you know, be crying out to the
-
Lord and you'll be there. So then their shoes had
-
to be outside. So then that's the only time you
-
will know that someone's inside. And sometimes they will check
-
on you because they don't do better. You died inside,
-
you know. But I was in there thinking to myself,
-
how do I pray for one hour? That time?
-
As soon as I walked in.
-
There and crawled into the gro to close the door,
-
and I said, Lord, how do I do this one hour?
-
But there was such an anointing of prayer inside that
-
room that I prayed for one hour without even these
-
By time it came out, I was late to go
-
to the bus that was waiting for me. But Yongi
-
cho or Cho Yongi said, uh, pray movement came out
-
of Korea. And then he says, but you know Indonesia,
-
And of course he was speaking Indonesia, Indonesia will provide
-
to the world the praise movement and a lot of
-
songs of praise have been coming out from Indonesia, a
-
lot of songs of praise ocasion. So you know what happened.
-
I closed my eyes and I bowed my head as
-
I heard about what so South Korea provided for the world.
-
I heard about what Indonesia is about to provide for
-
the world, and I just say the race, silent prayer
-
about my head. I say a silent press, Lord, if
-
South Korea did that for the world, Lord, if Indonesia
-
is going to do this for the world, what will
-
Malaysia do? What will be Malaysia's contribution? And then, of
-
course all of us were encouraged to pray now, and
-
so I was praying. But that was my only question.
-
Oh what will Malaysia provide? You know, I mean, we
-
don't just want to wait for the United States of America.
-
We don't just want to wait for Australia. We don't
-
just want to wait for the UK. Mala. Malaysia is
-
not second class. You know. We serve the same God. No,
-
the God is never different. Jesus is never different around
-
the world. It is the people. The people will believe
-
or don't believe. See, but the same Jesus is miracles
-
all around the world and also do it here. The
-
people must be different. The God we serve is not
-
different with me. He's the same yesterday, today, forever with
-
me Hebrews Chapter thirteen, verse eight. He is the same
-
in America, UK, Australia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Lasia. So
-
I was crying out the lad law, Please don't forsake Malaysia.
-
Don't forget Malaysia. Something great it's gonna come out with Malaysia. Lord,
-
show me what it is, and the watch his passion.
-
I got in my spirit passion and the next word
-
was fire. So fire and passion, it is related. It's connected.
-
And then we uh, you know, around the stadium people
-
said amen, you know, because people are praying. I was
-
in my deep in my own prayer, but as everyone
-
said amen, and I opened my eyes, and in came
-
a person running into the stadium with a torch fire
-
like the Olympics, and he lighted up you know, like
-
like the Olympics. It's huge. What do you call it, Yeah, Audred, Yeah,
-
this huge torch and he lighted it up and boom,
-
set on fire.
-
And the law says, that's your confirmation. That's your confirmation.
-
So I have believed that since then until today, that
-
Malaysia's contribution to the world will be passion. We will
-
show the world how to serve the Lord with fire
-
in our hearts. Do you believe it? I believe you
-
all my heart. I believe you all my heart. And
-
so the confirmation was there. But then as I read
-
First King chapter eighteen, God reminds me that he answers
-
by fire. Now you think about it, the guys, the
-
God who answers by fire means that every prayer you
-
ever prayed is firstly answered by fire before it's answered
-
by specific answer to your prayer. Think about it now,
-
think about it. Now, you say, Lord, I would like
-
to migrate to the US. If he's really his real
-
he will tell you better. You should my grade or not.
-
But his first answer to that prayer is fire? Why passion? Why?
-
Because what's the use of going to the United States
-
of America without fire? Australia? Lord, send me to Australia.
-
But you know, a Christian can die in Australia. A
-
Christian can lose his faith in the US. A Christian
-
can forsake the Lord in the UK if he doesn't
-
have fire. Lord, give me one million ring. It could
-
be your prayer. Give me ten million ring, It could
-
be your prayer. But what is money without fire? Because
-
you can be rich and forsake the Lord. So do
-
you understand one press? Say you can ask for anything,
-
but the first thing he answers is fire.
-
Say by there for a moment, Lord, give me a wife.
-
Give me a husband, right, But do you know you
-
can have a wife who's not a fire for God
-
and lead you astray no longer found in church. Lord,
-
give me a husband. You know the husband looks Christian,
-
has a Christian name. But God is so far away
-
from his mind. Of course, when he marries you. He
-
say all the Christian words, and I don't mind marrying
-
the church. I don't mind saying the vows, because he
-
just wants you. And when he got you, that's it.
-
Right now, this becomes the smallest handcuff in the world.
-
This becomes the smallest hand cuff in the world. Are
-
you still with me? You want a husband who's on fire.
-
You want a wife who's on the fire. Who don't
-
just ask for a spouse, Ask for a spouse who's
-
on command. Amen, Praise the Lord. So our God answers
-
by fire. Jesus said, I came to send fire on
-
the earth. Wow, And how I wish he would already kindle.
-
This is God's wish for you and for me, even
-
in this room this morning, How I wish he would
-
already kindle. Amen. Those of you who are on fire
-
already this morning, say Amen, Praise the Lord. Now. Fire
-
is powerful. Fire changes everything it touches. Do you understand this?
-
Everything?
-
When you come in touch with fire, you will never
-
be the same again. Things will burn. All these balloons
-
touch fire gone, right, this cup, touch fire gone, this paper,
-
touch fire gone, this chair, touch fire gone, this ipat
-
touch fire gone. This popeit touch fire. Gone, This jacket
-
touched fire. Gone.
-
You touch fire gone?
-
You know the metal? You say, oh, but metal won't burn,
-
but you will get hot. Nothing remains the same. That
-
means if you are on fire and you touch somebody's hands, Hello,
-
and fire goes through your hand, that person will never
-
be the same again. Do you understand if Expemine is
-
on fire, anyone who comes in here will be changed.
-
You don't even have to do anything else but be
-
God's channel of fire. Amen. Matthew three eleven says he
-
will baptize you with holy spirit. And did you understand
-
that not this holy spirit, but with fire? And the
-
Greek word for fire is poor. P you are if
-
you're taking notes, you can take it down poor. And
-
another meaning of poor is lightning lightning poor. He will
-
baptize you with lightning, zap you right, and you will
-
be filled with electricity so much soworld that, my God,
-
when you read your Bible is different, When you praise different,
-
you are filled with power.
-
Zap you from on high.
-
That's why in the in Revelations he talks about, you know,
-
the golden bowl of incense, and then when this full
-
lightning is.
-
Coming from heaven. Are you also with me?
-
In fact, there's another lightning that the Bible talks about
-
that he saw Satan fall. Like lightning.
-
Satan is a copycat.
-
He wants to copy everything that God has, so he
-
also tries to copy himself like lightning.
-
But his lightning is he falls under the power of God.
-
Amen. He gets thrown down lightning. And I want to
-
be God's lightning on this earth. Wherever I go, however
-
I preach and pray, I will be electrified and I
-
will electrify others. Because of His power, You shall receive power.
-
Can I hear a good?
-
Amen?
-
The fire doesn't need to change ladies and gentlemen in
-
this room. With the stages or stages of life, I
-
find that, you know, some older ones will come to
-
me say, oh, don't you know, Pasta, I'm already retired.
-
I'm not like the young ones with so much energy,
-
right or Pasta, you don't understand. I just got married,
-
so you know there are different demands or personally you
-
don't understand. But I've got three kids.
-
Listen. I want to tell you right now, and I
-
pray you will take it with all your heart. The
-
fire doesn't need to change with the stages or status
-
of life. We're not talking about you jumping only and
-
you know, doing crazy things, no, or running around the
-
church like a young guy can and an older guy
-
might not be able to know. I'm not comparing like that.
-
But why should your fire and my fire deplete or
-
decrease with age? Do you agree I'm talking about fire?
-
I see older people here in our midst and thank
-
God for older people here in our miss I can
-
also see the fire. This lady with a red blouse
-
in the back there, all right, she's wearing great because.
-
She's on fire.
-
No, no, no, she's not right, grate because your fire chines
-
to you. I know. But the thing is, how many
-
of you here agree? I see you as I know.
-
She's on fire, right, her her hair is full of snow.
-
You know, this is what I sat on the same
-
table in Stapaure with right her bunk right, her book
-
was just opposite me.
-
And he says in his German accent. You know, he says,
-
there may be snow on the roof. This is what
-
he said.
-
There may be snow on the roof, but there is
-
fire in the fireplace. Right, Only ten of us were
-
at that dinner. I just love his fire. In fact,
-
his conferences are called fire fire conferences, snow on the top,
-
fire inside. He was saying that at seventy two years old,
-
when he was at the same table seventy two years old,
-
why should the fire twindle were still dye?
-
Amen?
-
So now, very quickly before we close, how to attract
-
God's fire?
-
How to keep being on fire?
-
All right?
-
Are you ready?
-
Because we read in the scripture fire came down when
-
Elijah prayed. Yes. So when I go and speak this
-
message in different places, I understand that there are many
-
people all around the world saying Wow. When I read
-
first King's eighteen, I wanted to happen again in our
-
time and age. I wanted to happen again. God, where
-
are you? So the question he asks, where's the God
-
of Elijah? Where's the God of Elijah today twenty twenty six?
-
But the real question should be where's Elijah? Because as
-
I said to you earlier, how God hasn't changed, He
-
hasn't got anywhere he Brews thirteen, verse eight. He is
-
the same, yesterday to and forever, the God of the
-
Us and the God of Australia, and the God of
-
the UK. It's also the God of Malaysia. He's your God.
-
I know, you celebrator. Maybe you say Bethel or maybe
-
you say he was. I don't know what church you celebrate,
-
you know, but it's time to also celebrate what God
-
is doing here ten birthday. God is alive in this place.
-
So don't ask, where's the God of Elijah? You know,
-
God of Elijah has always been here. Where is Elijah
-
is the question? It takes Elijah. I see the brothers, yea,
-
lay heads on each other. Ah, go ahea yeh yeheah, Yeah,
-
you can lay heads on. Yeah, be there like God.
-
Turn your neighbor said there, Elijah, be there, Elijah be there,
-
Elijah be the Elijah. Is there any Elijah?
-
Say in his room? Elijah actual name?
-
Not yet? Not yet? So never mind all of you
-
being Elijah, okay Elijah. Yeah, don't just look for the
-
God of Elijah. God is looking for Elijah. If God
-
can find Elijah, he will move.
-
Are you ready?
-
Five characteristics I'm gonna share you First King.
-
Chapter eighteen, verse twenty one.
-
First characteristic. First King, Chapter eighteen, verse twenty one says,
-
and Elijah came to all the people and said, how
-
long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord
-
is God, choose him or follow him rather? But if
-
Baal follow him? The first characteristic for any Elijah who
-
wants to be Elijah is we must daily choose. Joshaw said,
-
choose you this day whom you will serve josh twenty
-
four verse fifteen. Yes, every day when you wake up
-
in the morning, you've got to choose. Will I do
-
my quiet time first or will I read the messages
-
on my what said choose? Will I do my quiet
-
time first? Or will I go and exercise first? Will
-
I come to church first on Sunday? Or will I
-
just watch online on in my own convenience? Do you
-
know every day you're choosing, like right now and you're
-
seated here, you're also choosing better you want to listen
-
to me or whether you want to scroll your phone.
-
It's a choice, do you understand? Oh, but it's not
-
really a choice. I'm addicted, So forgive me because I'm addicted.
-
Do you know how you become addicted? Because you choose
-
every day? If you choose every day, addiction will follow
-
you with me. But habits are also like that. Habits.
-
If you do the same thing every day, it becomes
-
a habit. Choose. Choose.
-
What are the choices your faced with today? I'm not sure,
-
but think about it because this year, if you really
-
want to see your life come on fire, God is
-
going to ask you to choose. And I just have
-
a sense that in my spirit now that some of
-
you are seated here are already being You're you're already receiving.
-
You're already you have already received something from the Lord
-
that is stirring your heart to choose. I remember a
-
pregnant lady. You know, my friend Susan. She was eight
-
months pregnant. And when I looked from because this church,
-
I was part of the same church, and I was
-
at at the balcony one day and I looked down
-
and Susan, at eight months pregnant, was standing up.
-
What she being the Lord?
-
And uh other pregnant ladies at eight months will sit
-
down throughout most of the was she? And I say Susan.
-
And Susan is a dynamic lady, in a dynamic lady.
-
Today she's a pastor of FGA. Got the Damasara, I said, Susan.
-
Everybody will understand like you're eight months pregnant. Sit down. Last,
-
she said, I know people understand, but I don't make
-
decisions based on what people think. I choose to stand
-
as long as I can, and if I'm really tired,
-
I will sit. I'm not here trying to test myself.
-
I'm here trying to give God my best. Do you understand,
-
So in every day of your life, right, you got
-
choices to make. Let's move on because I think you
-
got me. I think you got me. Okay, First King's
-
eighteen twenty three, twenty four. Now, therefore, let them give
-
us two bulls, and let them choose one bull for themselves,
-
cutting it in pieces and lay it on the wood,
-
but put no fire under it. And I would prepare
-
the other bull and lay on the wood, but put
-
no fire. Listen, So the second sea I put all
-
five points in C's first one is you gotta choose.
-
The second one is challenge. Once our lives begin to
-
have less of a challenge in our work with God,
-
you will find that your fire will begin to diminish.
-
So I want to just encourage you again.
-
Maybe you've heard of this message before, but I think
-
it is the word of the Lord. For us today
-
because it's a good reminder for all of us that
-
the way you keep your fire burning and burning strong,
-
if not stronger, is to always be sensitive to what
-
it is that God is challenging you to do today
-
or this year.
-
And take it up. It will take faith. Are you
-
with me?
-
It will take faith, It will take some courage. But
-
don't forsake the challenges that God bring to your life. Again,
-
it's a matter of choice. You have to choose to
-
take up the challenge. In this last thirty five years
-
of following Jesus, I have seen so many challenges that
-
He's brought my way. And he has done it because
-
He knows that we are creatures of comfort, meaning to
-
say that we lean more towards comfort than anything else.
-
If it can be comfortable, we want it. None of
-
us will be silly enough to choose this comfort. And
-
yet God allows this comfort in life, in our lives,
-
to keep us in the straight and narrow. You understand this,
-
and so I've understood the place of challenge in my life.
-
When I was a lawyer and the Lord said give
-
up your law and come follow me, it was a
-
challenge if I said no to the Lord. We won't
-
be here right. And then came the time when the
-
Lord you know asked me to give all my wedding armbous.
-
All my wedding armbows are the balance of whatever I
-
had after I paid all the bills. The balance was
-
seven thousand ringing. Oh a lot of money. No, nineteen
-
ninety five a lot of money. The road says, would
-
you put your own money before you ask other people
-
to give money? We don't mind asking for donation, but
-
we ourselves won't give you that.
-
Donation.
-
The row says, you give first, then I will touch
-
other people's.
-
Heart to give.
-
If you also won't give us, Why should I touch
-
other people's hearts. It's just shows that you don't believe
-
you need yourself. If you believe it, put your money
-
where your mouth is. That's challenging me. I put all
-
seven thousand ringing. I remember telling you the sorry I
-
was crying at the banground and it was not tears
-
of joy. And I started a you center, a youth center.
-
I started Aya aging youth in messades on that, and
-
then on and on and on and on. Every year
-
a few challenges. The year the Lord challenged me to
-
give my car my only car. Someone gave it to
-
me same as as me when I was twenty one.
-
It was twenty one, Who say twenty two? The oldest
-
car ever? All right? It leaks so much oil when
-
we were driving. I call it the most anointed car
-
in the in the country. Oil everywhere, oil, oil of blessing,
-
all of anointing. You kind of go beyond ninety kilometers
-
an hour. Okay, after ninety kilimeters, it has to shake,
-
like like Christians when they're under the power over it shakes,
-
you know, the most anointed car in Malaysia. And my
-
uncle needed a car. Without a guy, you cannot get
-
a job. The Holy speel says, would you give him
-
your car? I said, I that's the only guy I have. Lord,
-
would you give challenge? Challenge?
-
Challenge, challenge, challenge, challenge?
-
Would you take up a j put no fire? How
-
do you offer sacrifice? What you put no fire in it?
-
You put no fire in under it? I will also
-
put off. This is a challenge, yes or no? So
-
I gave my uncle the car, even though by that
-
time I was twenty seven years old. But the but
-
twenty seven year old car was better than the thing.
-
And because of the car, he got the job. My
-
uncle at the time, he was really in his fifties.
-
A man without a job in his fifties painful, it's tough.
-
He got a car. I gave it a car that
-
was a Friday.
-
Saturday. Sunday came and I didn't go anywhere because I
-
had no car. This just went to church. Someone fetched
-
me to church. And Monday came. Monday is my day off.
-
Monday is my day off. But it wasn't the day
-
off for a particular corporate company in KL and the
-
secretary called me earth. I said, yes, how are you fine?
-
She says, uh, I gonna need to ask you a
-
question once againda. I said, yes, do you need a car?
-
Just three days?
-
You need a three days Saturday I gave my uncle
-
on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Do you need a car?
-
I said, whire? She says, my boss told me on
-
Friday Fridays. The boss told her, Paul pass A Kenneth,
-
I want to give my one of my company cars away.
-
So I got the car. The car is very old,
-
four years old, four years old, four years old. Come
-
back to my trainees every year, OKR. And not only that,
-
if Paskena wants it, give it to him and let's
-
pay for his road text two years. Do you understand
-
that in your life? I want to challenge you right now,
-
a breakthrough is about to happen. It's just around the corner.
-
Some of your prayers are going to be answered so close.
-
But you know it's so easy for Good to answer
-
the prayer. But he wants to make sure that we
-
take up the challenge because it's faith, and without faith,
-
it's impossible to please God.
-
Are you also with me?
-
God wants to give it to you willingly, abuttantly, but
-
he puts us all through this challenge. Why because the
-
fire keep burning? You understand care I just throw this
-
out to Ax right now, Bassus Stephen. I know maybe
-
actually given you a hateup, but why don't you please
-
pray about starting X in Nottingham UK. Look at this
-
seriously this year because it might be a challenge that
-
you have a lot of excuses why you cannot. But
-
I think it's on your heart. I think it's on
-
your heart and I think it's on your heart. And
-
when I spoke about the David, David said, we are
-
ready for X Nottingham. If X is ready, we will
-
walk together and they will use some of the pounds
-
that is in the ex London Bank account to help.
-
But the people must.
-
Come from here because every year I hear that you
-
have students going back and forth.
-
I know it's a challenge. Come on, is a challenge,
-
and I know you can. You can probably tell me
-
ten reasons why you shouldn't.
-
But I'm not thinking that says a lot because I
-
don't want to put you in a place you know
-
of bondage.
-
I don't want to bind you to this.
-
I just want to offer you a challenge and pray
-
about it, okay now, and then I will revisit you
-
and say what you think.
-
What is the lad said?
-
I feel it, I feel it strongly. The other thing
-
I want to challenge you is a dream Malaysia. A
-
few of us past us came together last week for
-
a retreat and we have discovered right that one of
-
the greatest problems in the church in Malaysia is succession.
-
Most churches, if not all churches, are struggling with succession.
-
Past The chewing Chi of sib considered succession for fifteen
-
years before he did it because it was so hard.
-
He has four or five thousand people in this church,
-
millions in the bank.
-
Right, who does he give the leadership to?
-
I know a lot of senior pastes are wondering how
-
how I give it to the wrong person.
-
Everything will go down the drain.
-
Pastor Daniel Hoe of the UMC took me many years
-
to consider his successor.
-
Now his successor is finding another successor.
-
It's not easy. I go up to Pinang, I go
-
up to Alostar, I go down to Johobaru, I go
-
to East Malaysia.
-
Everybody is struggling with a succession issue.
-
For me, of course, I retired and I passed it
-
on to the SBO and I made the pagholder exity pastor.
-
You understand also not easy for me.
-
But I've retired and I've considered a lot of things
-
that the Lord had to teach me. But listen, the
-
thing I want to also challenge X so many to consider,
-
is we are going to now, as you're praying, go
-
and visit different pastors in and around Malaysia, especially pastors
-
who are desperate, meaning you say that they are at
-
their wits end. They don't see, uh, there's a pastor
-
up north. I won't mention this the city at unless
-
you want to ask me later. There's a pastor who says,
-
amazing pastor, I've known him for years. Yes, a good,
-
good man who's done great things. He said to me,
-
Uh no, maybe about a year or two ago, if
-
you come up to Alosta. Uh you know Alosta? Okay, Okay, Okay,
-
I just said it Alosta. Okay, never mind, because sooner
-
or later you hear it. Uh, and you come up
-
to Alosta, I will call all the pastors from police
-
to come uh and and hear you speak. Because all
-
of us are having the same challenges. What is the challenge?
-
Most young people leave Alosta or Kada or Pelice and
-
they go to k l they go to Pinang, they
-
go to Singapore and they never come back. Okay, Now
-
you might be from there, but this is not a
-
message to make you feel down. Okay, it's not a
-
message to make you feel condemned. I just if you
-
tell it the truth, are you okay with truth? So
-
I asked this pastor how your youth ministry? And the
-
passer said, what youth ministry? I say, why, Pastor? He says,
-
they all leave by form five, they're gone to college.
-
They most of them don't come back. Okay, listen, I
-
really believe the Lord is moving in this nation and
-
it will come soon, very soon. God touching people's hearts
-
firstly in ex Church because I'm leading this movement called Malaysia.
-
So the first example has.
-
Got to be from X that God will move people's
-
hearts in our own fifteen branches in KL move people's
-
hearts to one to go back and make a difference
-
in their city. And I will be the first one
-
to not only send you, but support you. Not to
-
plan an ex church. I think this one not is
-
all this just planting my own day man, planting my
-
own denomination. One is a thing of the past is passinating.
-
Now. We need to find a solution for our nation.
-
And not be selfish with our own names and our
-
own brand and our own denomination. Just say a lot
-
of these pastors are in their seventies and some of
-
them are so burnout they don't know what to do,
-
so burn out. If I tell you stories are there's
-
a seventy eight eight year old pastor in Khaki bookit.
-
I don't even know you better you know where there
-
is Khaki bookit. Seventy eight years old? You know how
-
long he's been a pastor forty years, but no successor,
-
can't find a single young person. So as seventy eight,
-
he's still playing basketball with the young people to try
-
to reach them for the Lord because no one man.
-
So we cannot just sit here and oh, let's pray
-
for them and hope they find an answer.
-
No, we've got to be the answer. I also do me.
-
So think about that challenge and if the Lord touches
-
your heart, just like the Lord touched past Daniel Cheng
-
and his wife. He came out to me the day
-
is a pastor because I shed export community a day
-
and he's a pastor.
-
H Me and my wife, we have a heart for Clanton.
-
So if there's ever opening plant and pasters, send us
-
because the churches in Clanton are dying.
-
Churches in Tregardo are dying.
-
Uh.
-
My pastor friend from the.
-
Baptist uh Convention meaning the Baptist Convention that takes care
-
of all the Baptists touches here in Malaysia. He says,
-
we might have to close down ten churches before the
-
end of the year if they're no there are no workers. Hey,
-
imagine it saddens me when I hear churches had to
-
close down. I don't even mind if McDonald's had to
-
close out. But the church the house of the Living God,
-
and many are in small towns. The pastor can even
-
afford his salary because there's only twenty people or thirty
-
people in the church that yours doing me. I want
-
to challenge this to you. Are you really take up
-
a challenge from the lot? Okay, you're you. You've heard
-
acts nothing, have you've heard dream Malaysia? But let's move
-
deeper into your own lives, even individually in this room.
-
I am sure there are some challenges that God is about.
-
Some of you are could be just this know this
-
year twenty twenty six, go for missions, because how have
-
you gotta I don't want to go for missions. You know,
-
I miss my bed, I miss my pillow. Missions don't
-
accord you know. Take up the come on challenge and
-
you will remain on fire.
-
Maybe one or two of you here I should sign
-
up for ex kids.
-
Yeah. Maybe some of you are have been seated here
-
in church for the past one year and haven't served yet.
-
Take up the challenge. Don't say oh if you're very
-
bored like these church, oh, you know I come late,
-
leave early. You know I don't feel the community. You
-
know why all these are unimportant because when you start serving,
-
you will all come one by one. So don't sit
-
down too long without serving the House of God. Can hear,
-
great man, take up the challenge next one. First kick
-
is eighteen thirty to thirty five. Okay, we read it already,
-
but read it again. Verse thirty Elijah said, to all
-
the people, come near to me. So all the people
-
came near to him. He repaired the altar of the Lord,
-
a La Lujah that was broken down, and Elijah took
-
twelve stones. Then with the stones he built an altar
-
in the name of the Lord. And he made a
-
trench around the altar large enough to hold two sears
-
of seed. He put the wood in order, had the
-
bull in pieces feel four water boards the water.
-
He said, horrid on the sacrifice on the.
-
Wood that he said, do it the second time, it
-
third time verse thirty five. So the water ran all
-
around the altar, and he filled the trench in water pumps.
-
The crate is the third sea. Consecrate means set your
-
life apart. Now I want to say this to you
-
before we draw to a close. The preparation is as
-
if not more important than the presentation.
-
Sometimes we just call for fire.
-
But before Elighten called a fire, he actually rebuilt the
-
altar that was broken down. He used trial stones to
-
represent tild tribes. There is a way to call down fire.
-
There's a way to obey God's word and to do
-
it right. Are you also with me? The Bible says
-
he put the wood in order? You know, the scripture
-
is not there for no purpose. A lot of us,
-
our lives are not in order. We sleep where we
-
should be awake. We awake where we should be asleep.
-
We should only spend at the most two hours on
-
social media, but you spend eight And how do we know?
-
It's because the phone will tell you you have just
-
spent forty eight hours last week? Right, and in quiet
-
time five minutes?
-
You say, is long? Not in order? Our lives are
-
not in order? Are you all with me?
-
No? But the Bible says he plays the wood in order.
-
See here, before the fire came, all these had to
-
come first. We've really got to get our lives in everybody, Okay,
-
what do I mean by the preparation is as if
-
not more important than the presentation. I think I'll share
-
this with you before I say it, I'll share it again.
-
This engains you forgot? How long does it take to
-
do an exam? Three hours? How long to prepare for exam?
-
Three days for some of you, three weeks for others
-
wiser three months for others? Who are you know thinking
-
that I won't just depend on my memory skills. How
-
long does it take to run a marathon? Two hours,
-
three depending on how far? How long to prepare for
-
a marathon? How long does it think you to go
-
up to monkbo one day, half a day? How long
-
does it take you were trained to go up to
-
How long is a wedding? One hour? How long to
-
prepare for a wedding? One year? One year? Do you
-
get on trying to say you know how long I
-
have to take to preach this message? Well, usually forty
-
five minutes, but because it means when I went not
-
as kidding, but how long to prepare for the message?
-
So a lot of Christians don't understand the preparation is
-
very key in the fire of God burning in your heart?
-
Do you know why you're kind of worshiped so well?
-
In the last half an hour because you didn't come
-
worshiping as soon as I woke up this morning. You know,
-
every morning you'll know, y'all know by now I need it.
-
I try to do my quiet time so it will
-
be between one and half hours to two hours. This
-
morning was one hour fifteen minutes because I was watching,
-
I was rushing, so that means I had to wake
-
up a five. It's okay, find a problem, so I
-
spend time with a lot. Quiet time, spend time with
-
the lot. And I tell you it is. It is
-
no joke when I tell you, the only reason why
-
I got the best of the thirty minutes when you
-
guys let me worship is because I was already worshiping
-
as soon as.
-
I woke up.
-
The first thing that came out of my mouth this
-
morning was good morning Jesus. And when I went to
-
wash my face, you know, I say, thank you, Holy Spirit,
-
there's water coming out on my tap because we think
-
it's so great for granted right that when there's no
-
more water, Yeah, and then you flash the flash not
-
working on that you can still see your stuff in
-
the toilet.
-
That all right?
-
You think everything for granted one. So I said, oh,
-
thank you that my flash works today and I walked
-
out and I went to open my You know, I
-
draw my curtains. You know, as a man of the house,
-
I will do that. I said, Lord, thank you that
-
there was no robber who came to my house last night.
-
I want to I want to just tell you this
-
before before I close. In Christianity, preparation is as, if
-
not more important. How may you know that when you
-
give you offeringness? Now, I don't know how much you gave,
-
right Maybe you gave ten ing gaits, Maybe you gave
-
fifty ring game, maybe you gave three hundred gait. Okay,
-
I don't know how much you gave, But you know
-
the mound is not as important as how you prepared
-
your heart. You know what I said, The Lord wants
-
to know how you prepare your heart. The reason why
-
I like to still give cash is because I keep
-
that cash aside. I opened my wallet, I think fifty
-
ring it out and I put it aside. I said, God,
-
this is yours. I will not touch it.
-
Do you know this? This whole concept of setting things aside?
-
You know why setting things aside is so important to
-
God is because it means that you thought about it before.
-
How many of you like to receive president, Oh, it
-
is your it's your birthday. You know, hold on that
-
you start, hold on, hold on. I think I got
-
something like a liness and you know, ex men, it
-
gave me to gave this to me.
-
And now I said no, because it's just after thought.
-
And how many of you would like to know that
-
Lioness thought about your birthday? And I prepared this a week.
-
Now I went to the topic of blacks got my money.
-
I went to each shop thinking what would Linus like?
-
What would Linus like? What you understand I prepared? Everyone
-
here likes if someone remembered and goes a little bit
-
more to prepare. Give to God, not just what you want,
-
but what he wants.
-
I why do I say this?
-
It's because the Bible said when fire came down, it
-
burned the sacrifice, It burned the wood. All all was wet.
-
You know, how do you burn wet wood? Because they
-
just pot water three times?
-
Right, how many times? Three times?
-
So, so the sacrifice was wet, the wood was wet,
-
and now the water flowed and filled up the trench
-
or the drain. Okay, you know what I like so
-
much about this is that God didn't leave the water
-
by yourself. I think you've heard me preach this before.
-
I'll preach it to you again because it's so important.
-
Do you know what the Bible says he licked up
-
the water? Did you see where that is found? Is
-
found in verse?
-
Uh?
-
Where's that?
-
Verse?
-
Verse thirty eight? You think then the fire of the
-
Lord fell and consumed the burn sacrifice, and the wood
-
and the stones and the dust that he licked up
-
the water. The fire came and licked up the water.
-
Wow in Chinese? Wow, so fong gore.
-
Water?
-
So you don't let go so here here here, what
-
the fire did? The fire of God came down? And
-
why why was the water suprecious? Because it was a
-
time of drought. It was a time of drought that
-
this happened. So buller easy, bull easy, bull easy. A
-
lot of Christians like the easy way of what you've
-
been gone?
-
Easy?
-
What easy?
-
Water?
-
Water precious commodity, more precious than goal.
-
You know what I think?
-
What I think When they found the water, it was
-
probably hard to find number one, number two.
-
It shouldn't be wasted.
-
Yeah, how many of you are if you're living in
-
some drought and your neighbors washing the car.
-
It would not be allowed.
-
In fact, in Australia they banded, he ain't call. Once
-
upon a time they did not allow it. No, because
-
there was drought for a few months. And so nobody
-
is allowed to wash their car. And said, and this
-
one holder water on the sacrifice. And I can imagine
-
the people are wait, wait, keep me some try throat,
-
dry throat, Hey Elijah, michiesener, ladies, are you crazy here?
-
Water harden buy money goes no water pol it on
-
horr in all the sacrifice. Give me a little bigin
-
of one drop, one dropper hor again, please, Elia, are
-
you crazy? Yeah?
-
We Christians, I tell you what when we follow God,
-
her look like crazy.
-
Sometimes third time, third time, poor again, Please Mosiah, don't
-
waste you know what.
-
Sometimes we give to God what we want to give.
-
We don't give to God what he wants.
-
Sometimes we are here right and we're saying God, I
-
give you a lot of money, and God says, no,
-
I don't want your money. I actually want you to
-
go home and say sorry to your mother because you
-
argue with her last night and you fought with her.
-
You say some very not nice things. Do you see
-
what he wants and what we want to different things? Here, God,
-
I give you because I got money. Here you go,
-
got three hundred kids, and God says, I don't want
-
your tree hundred gid. And when you go home and
-
say sorry, mom, you see do you see what he
-
wants and what we wanted to different things? And so
-
it was not the board, It was not the wood,
-
It was not the fire. It was the water, and
-
he licked it up. Do you want to hear how
-
satisfy God is Ah?
-
That is the picture of satisfaction. Have you ever heard
-
God say.
-
Over your life? I woke up this morning and in
-
my quiet time, and here God say, one day we
-
will start exk nothing him God willing, and God will say, Ah,
-
we live to satisfy God. Paul is found in First
-
Kings eighteen thirty six twenty seven. I won't read it further.
-
You know Elijah care of the Lord, he did all
-
this preparation. He says, now that I've done it all
-
according to your word, which which is the verse that
-
say at your word verse thirty six, you are God
-
in Israel, and I'm your servant. And then I have
-
done all these things at your word God, I call
-
upon you now. Hear me, God, I call upon you now.
-
If you really want to keep the fire burning, learn
-
to call on the Lord. The Bible says, if you call,
-
he will here. But understand that Caul is the fourth
-
see a Lord of people like to call first and
-
then have no answer because they don't realize that it
-
shouldn't be called first.
-
It should. We choose you this day, whom you will serve.
-
Take up the challenge that God is pull in your heart.
-
Consecrate yourself, set yourself apart for the Lord, and say, God,
-
I will make myself holy as you are holy. And
-
then Paul.
-
And then finally a cause, what's the cause? Verse thirty seven.
-
Hear me, Oh Lord, hear me that this people may
-
know that you are the Lord God, and that you
-
have turned their hearts back to you again. There must
-
be a cause in everything that we do for the Lord.
-
Somebody say, Amen, what is the cause? The last slight says,
-
they turn their hearts back to you again. Lord, in
-
the name of Jesus. You can close your eyes and
-
bow your heads for a moment. Lord is the name
-
of Jesus. I want to pray that as the fire
-
comes down from heaven into our hearts this morning. It
-
is not just for our own pleasure. It is not
-
just for our own spiritual you know shocks thegnity, you know,
-
self pleasure. I like the sound effects as happy as
-
I speaking. The fire is not for sure, The fire
-
is not to make me look more spiritual. But I'm
-
asking for the fire of God to come down upon
-
extra money today so that revival will come, so that Lord,
-
many others will turn their hearts back to you.
-
This should be the cause.
-
Lord, I pray that this will be our cause, that
-
when we live our lives on fire for Jesus, that
-
it will be because many many will see that fire,
-
many will taste that fire, Many will feel that fire.
-
Many will experience the same fire and turn their hearts
-
back to you.
