You're listening to a passage to go from AXTS church.
-
We hope this message will light.
-
Up your tea new wine, new wine skins. Okay, new wine,
-
new wine skins. Let's let's have a look at the
-
scripture here first, and then we'll elaborate further. So mark
-
chapter two and verse eighteen to twenty two.
-
This is how it reads.
-
I'll read it and follow me with your eyes if
-
you have your bibles turned to Mark chapter two, verse
-
eighteen to twenty two.
-
So here we go.
-
The disciples of John and of the Pharisees, they were fasting,
-
and then they came and said to Jesus, Hey, Jesus,
-
why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast?
-
But your disciples do not fast. They're always eating?
-
Okay, if you recall the sorry, so Jesus, he always eating? Right, Hey,
-
God fish, I gook for you, and let's have a
-
meal God bread.
-
Now let's fit everybody.
-
Right?
-
He is so Malaysian, right, okay? All right?
-
And so then Jesus, it can the friends of the
-
Brightgroom fast while the Brightgroom is with them?
-
What is he saying?
-
Here is the bridegroom is here, and as long as
-
they have the bright groom, then they cannot fast verse twenty.
-
But the days will come when the bridegroom will be
-
taken away from them, and then they will fast in
-
those days.
-
Then verse twenty one.
-
And sunny he switches on to say that, hey, no
-
one sows a piece of unshrunk cloth a new piece
-
of cloth on an old garment, or else the new
-
piece will falls away from the old and the tear
-
is made worse verse twenty two. And no one puts
-
new wine into new into old wine skins, or else
-
the new wine will worst the wine skins. The wine
-
is spilled, and the wine skins are ruined. But new
-
wine must be put into new wine skins. I manage
-
reading of God's word this background. Just give you the
-
background first.
-
First of all, just for knowledge.
-
In the Old Testament, the Lord had only given one
-
mandate for fasting, which was an annual fast called the
-
day of Atonement, which happens in the month of September
-
or October.
-
This this is called the day of.
-
Atonement, and sometimes you hear it as yumkeepor yum keepre
-
in the Hebrew means the day of Atonement. Where once
-
a year all the children of Israel will come back
-
in Old Testament, they will bring the ramp order, lamb
-
or the gold, and they give it to the high priest,
-
and the high priest will we'll stand in the gap
-
for the people, put his hands on the head of
-
the life Ram. While the eyes were looking at he,
-
were you doing it?
-
And then they will confessed all the sins of the people.
-
Whatever the sin you name, it is going to be
-
put on the head of that ram, and that ram
-
or that lamb or that gold will be sacrificed, okay,
-
and then the forgiven once a year only. This is
-
what was given by the Lord, to fast only annually
-
one time. But we move forward to the time of Jesus,
-
and so over time tradition was set in where the
-
Pharisees they set up fasting. And the first thing was
-
not wrong to fast, but it wasn't just on the
-
young people. It was certain days of the week or
-
the year, and they would all the month, and so
-
they would fast. Now Jesus is not against fasting, because
-
in Mark chapter six, verse sixteen, he says, when you fast,
-
go into the secret place, not if you fast, means
-
we do fast when you fast, So nothing wrong with fasting.
-
But then because they're asking Jesus, you guys are always
-
eating terrible and then he says, well, the bridegroom is
-
still around, so people don't fast.
-
Was he saying that? So in their mind? And like,
-
I'm the bright groop? What is what bread groom?
-
Right?
-
What bright groom?
-
And then and then we know that the church is
-
the bride of Christ and Christ is the bridegroom, the
-
coming brdgroom to get his church's he gave his life
-
for the church.
-
Amen. So so so he's saying, I'm the bridegroom.
-
And then from from bridegroom he talks about new wine,
-
skin and new wine. So the background, the color of it,
-
the story is that Old Testament. They were following, Hey,
-
why you're not fasting the New Testament? You walk forward.
-
And then Jesus is saying, here's the bridegroom. As you know,
-
that was sacrificed. That was one once a year confession
-
of your sins. And we know that Jesus came as
-
that lamb without sin to take our sin. And he
-
was the high priest who took all of our sins.
-
And so he was preparing for us the New Covenant,
-
the New Covenant written in his blood to once and
-
for all set us free from sin and death. And
-
so my encouragement to all of us is, as we
-
remember Jesus this coming Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, as
-
we walked through the Holy weeks, Palm Sunday. Today, as
-
we journey through our time of seeking the Lord, it's
-
a good reminder that at the Cross, he took all
-
of our pain, he took all of our shame, he
-
took everything our disappointments, and he took our debt which
-
we couldn't pay.
-
Amen. And you know in.
-
John chapter fourteen, verse twenty three, remember where Jesus said, Hey,
-
if you love me and if you keep my word,
-
my father will come, will love you, and we will
-
come and live in you. We will make our home
-
with you. So we don't always remember this, we don't
-
always speak to ourselves and say, wow, actually, the Kingdom
-
of God is living in us. Aveen, Wow, the kings
-
is I'm coming to live in you. And when the
-
day you said yes to Jesus, when you love Jesus
-
and you said I want to follow you Christ, whole
-
kingdom made their home with you. So the Father is yeah,
-
the Son and the Holy Spirit is living in us.
-
It's powerful.
-
Amen.
-
Amen.
-
Yo, look at your friend nighbor, Your neighbors say whoa,
-
the Kingdom of God.
-
Is in you. Amen.
-
Yeah, look at you're the neighbor and say, hey, you're
-
a king's kid.
-
Nobody's doing that this church.
-
I'm barney la oh daman dangan dam sang ah.
-
Okay, all right? That so quiet? Not so quiet, okay.
-
So it helps you with receiving the word. Amen. So
-
the Kingdom of God.
-
Imagine you are full of Christ only because the Kingdom
-
is in you. God one of the Kingdom, and he
-
hadn't and he came and became your king.
-
And has dominion over our lives. Amen.
-
And so that's your assurance that you know that Christ
-
has done it all for us.
-
Amen.
-
And so Jesus so confident to say that I'm the
-
bridegroom because I'm coming from my bride. So all of
-
us are brides, even the male male. The church is
-
the bride of Christ. You know, Jesus loves his church.
-
Don't ever say anything bad about his bride because he
-
will come and bunch.
-
You imagine if you say bad things about me to
-
my husband. Now, if it's true, he'll say, sorry, but
-
I'm sorry my wife misbehaved. But if it's not true,
-
he's like, hey, it's my wife you're talking about, right.
-
All our husbands will protect and defend their wife. But
-
of course if she did the wrong thing, she bedmouthed
-
you or you know, she yeah, toss the something and
-
then I'm so sorry.
-
Please forgive my Wif I'm sorry, please forgive my wife. Okay,
-
so baah.
-
Ways, the husband or the bridegroom will always defend the bride.
-
Don't forget the church no matter what.
-
The church never speak bad about the bride of Christ
-
because you don't want to girn now one on the Lord.
-
Amen, okay.
-
And So drawing from this, as we enter into our
-
final week to the Cross and remembrance of what Christ
-
is done, I would like to draw the thought of us,
-
you know, seeking the lot in this time, to draw
-
out from some fifty one, verse ten to thirteen, some
-
fifty one, I would like to draw out our journey
-
to the cross or journey to the remembrance of the Cross,
-
and as we ourselves are seeking the lot in the
-
next few days.
-
Now again the.
-
Twenty one days of praying fast. You know some of
-
you can't do twenty one days, so you might try
-
one day. But every day you can still read the
-
Bible reading. We're in the Book of Joel now Joel
-
chapter two reading, and just I know it's like very
-
difficult to read Hosea Joel and Habakuk, Wow, like very
-
hard to read. It's so much, so much wrong that
-
the children is just done. But yet that's God's word.
-
So as you're reading or even if you are reading
-
the Journey to the Cross in the Gospels, it's a
-
good reminder of what I wanted to share about new
-
wine and new wine skins. Now, in case you don't
-
know what a wine skin looks like, we have a picture,
-
all right, for our young people, the little people. That's
-
a wine skin. It's made of leather, all right, and
-
they would keep wine in these leather wine skins and
-
leather wh as they grow all it will expand. And
-
so when the new wine is poured in, the new
-
wine is numa, so it's still bubbling, it still has
-
a life, and it will push on the skin and
-
it could burst the skin if it's thinned out, so
-
that those are wine skins.
-
If we have no idea. I have no idea.
-
I don't live in that time, so I don't own
-
the wine skin, all right, So I.
-
Thought we have a picture, all right.
-
So my word, my encouragement to us is new wine,
-
new wine skins. God, the Holy Spirit is the new wine.
-
We can prepare ourselves to be the new wine skin.
-
Amen. So we don't want to be the old wine
-
skin line.
-
You know all you know, shiveled up and and dry.
-
Don't be a dry old wine skin. Let's be new fresh, right.
-
You don't need to have ring girls. What's that word?
-
They say?
-
Collagen? Collagen ah, aunties and uncles. Yeah, collagent, not enough
-
collagen all right. So we want to be new new
-
wine skin to carry the new wines, the new wine.
-
So new wine speaks of the Holy Spirit. He's always
-
ever ready to poor you know, he's in filling us
-
with his presence, and he speaks about reviving us revival. Amen, Church,
-
all right, are you with me, guys who give me
-
away at the top, Yes, hallelujah.
-
Amen.
-
So I think all of us are walking towards taking
-
this time to remember Christ.
-
Amen.
-
Is good to remember so as I draw from some
-
fifty one, remember that some fifty one came out of
-
King David, who had who had broken God's heart terribly
-
because he, uh, he saw Bathsheba having a bath.
-
Then that's what her name is, Basheba. All right.
-
So Bahsheba was having a bath, and there was not
-
supposed to be any men in the house or in
-
the city, because they're all supposed to go for war.
-
But King David, being king, decided, I'm not gonna go
-
for war. I'm just gonna hang out and hang out.
-
He did looking at the bath Sheba, all right, so
-
I won't go further anyway. He took bath Feba and
-
then later made her pregnant, and then later he was
-
he was already insane.
-
He's gonna deeper.
-
He digged deeper by taking his her husband Uriah and
-
sent him to war. Tried to make all kinds of
-
excuses by Indian or I was such a godly man.
-
He wouldn't do anything wrong. He's just said's king, I'm
-
here to serve you. And so he sent him to
-
the right to the battlefield, right the front lines. He died,
-
And so this is going on probably for two years
-
or so, I don't.
-
Know how many years, and he knew.
-
I think he was suffering with guilt ler, but he cannot.
-
Bring himself out to confess to the Lord.
-
So the Lord gave him time and then and then
-
when he didn't confess, because God loves him. Friends, when
-
we are found out, do not say God, you hit me, Okay,
-
don't say that when.
-
You are found out.
-
If you are in an affair with another man's wife
-
and not.
-
A man's not a woman's husband.
-
If you are in a court in an affair, if
-
you are cheating, if you're stealing, if you I don't
-
know why law and you get found out, you just
-
say it was God's time.
-
You know why? You know why?
-
Because God loves us and he doesn't want us to
-
further ourselves into the depths, the depth and the depths
-
of our sin. He wants to help us get out
-
of it and get a line with him, get right
-
with the Lord. It's not the worst thing. When we
-
get found out. It's very malu what to do. Uncle
-
King David was supposed to have known better. He was
-
a man of the God's or hut, but he just
-
couldn't bring him. So I think I had the guilt
-
or whatever. And so the Lord had to bring Prophet
-
Nathan to him, and and Nathan had to.
-
Tell us story.
-
If those of you who speak Cantonese, this is how
-
he had to do it. By hi, yeah, ah him guy,
-
because he who cur y minbai ah what Salah?
-
I did you know? What is my sin?
-
You know? I don't draw a picture, We said, wacome timing,
-
draw a picture for you.
-
Look, he's gamba gamba. Then, of course he was confronted
-
with the truth, and he said, I have sinned. It
-
is I. I have sinned against the Lord.
-
I repent because he was His heart is actually very softened,
-
but he was probably dealing with guilt. So he repents immediately.
-
And we get the picture of it in some fifty one. Now,
-
as we draw from some fifty one, I'm not saying
-
anyone here has sin or whatever.
-
I'm not.
-
I'm just drawing the elements that I find so helpful
-
for us to walk in it in this time as
-
we prepare ourselves to really just celebrate and give thanks
-
for God's work at the cross for us.
-
Amen.
-
So are we new wineskins people? Are we making ourselves
-
ready to be new wine skins a man. We want
-
to prepare our hearts. And I tell this to the
-
Lot on a daily basis. You know, I mean, I'm
-
also guilty. You've always doing some wrong things, say the
-
wrong thing, thing, the wrong thing that quickly go yo.
-
Jesus, please forgive me.
-
You know, just sometimes you get you get so upset
-
with certain things and then you feel that. But you know,
-
keeping short accounts with the Lot helps us to to
-
be renewed daily. And the Holy Spirit is always ready
-
because the Holy Spirit lives with me, because the Kingdom
-
of God lives in me.
-
The Holy Spirit does convict.
-
When he convicts, I repent or I search, and then
-
I have to get it right aligned back with the Lot.
-
So are we making ourselves ready to be new wine skins? Church?
-
Let's wandula one tula, don't be all wine skin law? Okay? Care?
-
So I tell the Auntie angle here, Auntie ready right Anti, And.
-
I say this in not tour Servicelam. But okay, when
-
I get there, I say it, okay, CA say your listener, okay, okay.
-
So Psalm fifty one, right, where do we start from?
-
We want to start from creating me a clean heart.
-
Let's start from the heart, and that's what David said,
-
from my heart lot.
-
Creating me a clean heart.
-
Oh God, so the condition of our heart is always
-
going to be the basis from where we start at
-
ground zero. Amen, how is our heart condition? Let us
-
check our hearts? Okay, because nobody can see our hearts.
-
Only the Lord can. Whether I'm I, whether you go
-
through something, you know, people don't understand. That's why I
-
also want to say, you know, when we go through things,
-
we don't always we must give cut some slack, you
-
get your not because maybe that day you had a
-
bad day, but you'll turn it around. You just had
-
a bad day. But on that bad day, everybody judge
-
you or there undear Yeah, llah very brother, she'd a smiler,
-
but she just had a bad day.
-
So we learned.
-
I also learned to cut some slack and say, okay,
-
maybe that sister had a bad day. Okay, she got
-
pain in her knee joined, so pain you cannot understand
-
how pain her knee joined, her bad ache, her heart condition,
-
her head condition, okay, whatever. Health wise, Oh, they had
-
a bad day, fought with the husband, had a misunderstanding
-
all with their adult child, I don't know.
-
All right, So people have bad days and.
-
We cut some slack, cannot judge, don't always quickly go
-
and judge them.
-
You oh, you say, O a Christian yo, but you
-
don't know.
-
Maybe something happened in the family, somebody you know, said
-
something that broke her spirit, his spirit, or a job
-
was difficult that day, the boss fired the persons older him.
-
He feels so down, and we add more make him
-
down by saying you are evil. So I remember if
-
the world can be kind. Sometimes they're not always kind,
-
but sometimes they can. People cut slack one No, we
-
as church of we have children of God.
-
Maybe can learn.
-
I just want to learn. Got some sat some slag. Okay,
-
I'm not always I have to cut to cut right.
-
We have to because we're only human.
-
Uncle King David gave us a picture of how human
-
it is for someone to fall. Then yet God gave
-
him time. God did not judge him immediately. He was
-
given time. So we people need some space. Let's give
-
them some space so that they can breathe. And then
-
they were in soft insult. They know that Salahan or
-
the Kurang, and they know their mistake. They know the
-
la and then they get better later they're like, I'm
-
so sorry, or they get better, like just give them
-
a chance. So we gotta check our hearts. Where where
-
really is our hearts? Are we just upset? Because upset,
-
we're just angry all the time. We just we're judging everybody.
-
Every you feel everybody's judging you. Don't go there clear
-
the heart, amen, heart check just how you go and
-
see the doctor for the medical check out. They tell
-
you've got block block block three blocks. Then you're enogram
-
off the angrogram and your plus c right, thank God
-
can do? And your plus you can and your plus
-
You got open hearts, Joe Ry, Now you got exacts
-
exact right in the middle. Okay, got a zipper alright,
-
it's not easy.
-
So before you go ahead, get a zipper on your chest.
-
Let's go ahead. Check our hearts with the Lord first. Amen.
-
So I answer to check for heart. Amen.
-
So ask the Lord creating me a clean heart, creating
-
me a clean heart. I don't want to keep anything
-
that will make me said, make me burdened, because it
-
leads you to the next thing. If you keep your
-
heart clean, you're saying Lord and renew a step fast
-
spirit within me and renew a right spirit within me,
-
A clean spirit, a right spirit, A right spirit so important.
-
Now in nine my line of work, I deal with
-
many kinds or many situations, and I realized when a
-
person is constantly angry, it's constantly upset. I have to
-
tell that person this. You need to calm down, and
-
you need I think you need to forgive some people,
-
or you need to stop speaking negative because this right
-
spirit is very important to have, otherwise unclean spirit will coming.
-
Do you know what? Unclean spirit's just not clean love,
-
clean spirit.
-
Unclean spirit so unclean means you're complaining every little thing
-
you find wrong with everybody you want.
-
To fight with. ANTI said that right I did wrong.
-
I was like, you do I give me cheaper five
-
cent cheaper play you please?
-
I pay five cent for you, I pay one dollar
-
for you. It's okay.
-
Don't get angry people because you don't give you the
-
five cents right. Some people let it, and I suppose
-
what they get angry right, and then it makes your
-
heart heavy and it makes your countenance go down, and
-
you're not in the right spirit. When you are not
-
in the right spirit, people cannot connect and you are
-
a child of God. When we don't have a right spirit,
-
it's hard to be around that person. People don't like
-
being around you, don't like or not more like not
-
like I scared to be around you after you scold me.
-
You're not scolding again. Now of course they will run
-
away from you like only when I need to see you.
-
I don't know you know? So where's the right spirit?
-
Because a steadfast spirit, a humble spirit, a spirit that
-
is clean is what God comes into. And you know what, guys,
-
the Lord is a holy spirit. He lives in us.
-
We need to keep this temple holy, holy clean.
-
Amen. Now now, so now I want to say the right.
-
Spirit right, create me a clean heart and the right spirit.
-
So I toot like VJ the last time because I'm
-
getting there as all right, I know we're losing collagen.
-
So to all the ladies in the house, try and smile,
-
because the complaint is that the auntie don't want to
-
smile at me. I said, I know I got the
-
same treatment too. She didn't smile. I got scared. But
-
this person is in my discipleship. I shouldn't be scared.
-
But then he had a bad day and the muscle
-
couldn't smile. You just had a bad day, so Auntie
-
Collagen could be the problem. But if you have a
-
right spirit, listen, listener, you can smile. Smile because you
-
have a beautiful smile. You smile and people feel like
-
a door is open they can approach you. Amen, I
-
thought could not sound Auntie Zynajadga. I look at them
-
like they're gonna kill me. Really, I'm like, what did
-
I do?
-
You know? I've just been your bostard as a why?
-
Because the brain's thinking a lot. Women have a highway
-
up here. Men is empty but anyway, not not empty.
-
They're thinking, they're thinking, but they're not so complicated.
-
It's complicated.
-
Women are complicated a bit. Love So sisters and sisters
-
and this and this. Please remember when you're thinking a
-
lot in your head, because I do that too.
-
Damn like this and my husband looks at me and
-
your face like that, like what like like this? Look
-
like that?
-
Man.
-
The right spirit is checking.
-
Our hearts to make sure whoever says hello to you
-
just stop for one and say hello back, especially in
-
the body of Christ, because we already have a bad day.
-
In the office, I had a very good working environment.
-
I had fabulous working everybody you know, loves everybody.
-
Once in a while they get funny people, but.
-
Most times, okay, I woke up prod okay, serious, serious
-
people can scream it you anytime one right, but you
-
just take it like you just ta killer.
-
Right.
-
But in the church, I think we all learn like
-
can remind me of okay, Daniel can remind me. And
-
see that's a smiler.
-
No collagen. I cannot go up, cannot go up. Okay.
-
The right spirit means I know we're thinking a lot
-
for women. It's a highwayman, if you don't understand your wife,
-
because there's a highway here. She's thinking about nineteen seventy
-
two while we are two two to six now. But
-
she's still doing here in nineteen seventy two what you
-
didn't do for her, all right, and so she remembers
-
all this and then she's like, right, and now I
-
want to tell the sisters in the house we have
-
the right spirit because we were clean heart and we
-
have the right spirit.
-
You take a breath.
-
Because I've noticed it in different plans, people say good morning,
-
all these ladies are they look better? You know?
-
And I'm like, hey, sail ah, good morning. Yeah, because
-
you're thinking where's the envelop for the titsand offering where's
-
the name tag? Good morning? What I'm thinking?
-
Okay, So I want to I want to say to
-
the sisters and brethren in the house sometimes you we
-
must stop for a while. It's okay to not think
-
so hard. But it's just an envelope. Seriously, it's just
-
an envelope. I just tell myself, it's just an envelope.
-
Not there yet, okay, hello, quit one ning, praise the lot. Okay,
-
envelope okay, because we don't want to come to the
-
House of God and not being able to welcome each other.
-
But we also if we do get it like this treatment,
-
you just cut some slack and say, you know what,
-
she had a bad day and I'll give her some time.
-
But in next Sunday she does the same thing with
-
you then and the third Sunday, and I think it's time.
-
Don't talk behind the back. You just go up there
-
and go on day. Did I did I offend you?
-
Did I offend you?
-
I did? When? Oh, I'm so sorry.
-
So that's why I did with somebody I said, did
-
I offend you?
-
I no? Okay, in change that a bit. Yeah, So
-
we go up.
-
To that person, we awn it and we ask them
-
because I want to have a right spirit and I
-
want to have a state first spirit.
-
Amen. We we're taking our fasting time.
-
It will be a joke that we're fasting and pray
-
and then we're having problems by not able to forgive,
-
not able to smile.
-
You have a heart problem, you have a headache, you
-
have a flu. Okay, I give you a start.
-
You had a bad day, but tomorrow you need to smile, amen,
-
because nobody knows what's going on in your mind. Crying
-
out loud asn't as I think my mom now she
-
thinks we all know.
-
What's going on.
-
Uncles even know she thinks we all know what's going
-
on in her mind, Like she don't know because this
-
one's empty, right, the one thing so hot my father
-
is empty.
-
And then she's like getting angry there. I'm like, whoa,
-
get calm down, please, what are you thinking? Stop screaming?
-
Take easy?
-
Come on, Oh so you busted? Yes, I think we're
-
growing older and we're very short time to live. So
-
if you want to live life to your full, take
-
the bad day, turn it around.
-
Come on, come on, go play pickup ball. Oka it
-
breaks the bones.
-
I don't know whatever, Okay, and be happy and be
-
happy because no, no.
-
No, you are to say it in the air. I
-
had a bad day and I'll turn it around.
-
Create a clean heart, check our hearts, have a right spirit,
-
get a step fast spirit. Align ourselves because the third
-
point comes to us as we need to hunger God's presence.
-
That's what Uncle David said.
-
He said, Lord, cast me not away from your presence,
-
take not your Holy Spirit from me.
-
Amen.
-
Because he was so close with the Lord until he
-
was separated by sin, by misunderstanding, by offenses, by I
-
don't know why you don't like me, separated instead of
-
approaching the person and say did I offend you? Please
-
forgive me? Those things were building up and it separated
-
him from the presence of God. And so he says
-
in verse eleven, cast me not away.
-
From thy presence, take not your Holy.
-
Spirit from me, meaning I'm hungry Lord for your presence.
-
I'm hungry Lord to be filled with your spirit.
-
Amen. And I tell you we just said the Kingdom
-
of God is living in you. Amen. So quick testimony.
-
Again. I shad this all the time because I want
-
to inspire you and encourage you. And you may have
-
remembered this story. You might remember the story of my
-
encounter with the French lady's fostage. Can sir that doctor
-
Jen and I got to visit when Sunway Hospital called
-
me to say, Passa, can you come and visit this lady?
-
She is end stage of life.
-
But she just just wanted to say can I know God?
-
And the doctor couldn't share based on just you know,
-
professional Yeah, you have to have some ethical stuff. So
-
she said, could you come? So we went and we
-
met This French lady married an American, lives in Malaysia.
-
They love Malaysia. They've been living in Putchajaya for the
-
longest time. See Malaysias are good, right, all right? And
-
then she's in first stage cancer and she says to me,
-
so can you tell me how I can know God?
-
Between her broken French and my little French sibu play
-
so broken broken little French. A lot of French, small
-
English American has I don't know how they talk, get
-
a dog, I don't know.
-
Married for many years.
-
They're in their eighties, right, eighties, going to be eighty eighties,
-
like and so we share. I said, you share your story,
-
We'll share my story. You'll share a story. We share,
-
Share Share. Then she said, do you know I've been
-
so rude to God. I've been cold, I've rejected him.
-
I don't care who he is. But just at this time,
-
I suddenly have this desire to know God. She said,
-
do you think God will accept me? And I said,
-
I think her name is Maria. I say, Mary, do
-
you know the fact that I'm here is because God
-
heard your cry? See God hears your cry when you
-
say God, Lord, Jesus help me. He's already dead ten
-
steps to you. This woman rejected Christ, never lived a
-
day in the life of the Lord. But when she said,
-
can I know God? And I said, the fact that
-
I'm here, I don't know you from Adam and I'm
-
standing in front of you.
-
We're here. I think God has an appointment with you.
-
We shared the story how we got.
-
Saved jail myself and then and then I asked her,
-
would you want to accept Jesus as your personal Lord?
-
And say, if that's how he comes and live in
-
your life, how do I do that? I said, You're
-
just a prayer away from heaven. She said, if that's it.
-
I'll do it. I want to. I want to, she said,
-
she heard our stories. She are so amazed. But she
-
still said, but I'm a bad person. I rejected God.
-
I said, no, I do am a bad person, but
-
the Lord has accepted me.
-
And so we said a prayer.
-
We took her through the salvation prayer and she prayed
-
it with us, very slowly because she actually can't breathe well,
-
so with every breath she prayed very difficult. She prayed,
-
and then as we sit, amen, silence Because quite a
-
while silence silens. I panic because I thought she died
-
or something. I look at you, because she's the doctor, right,
-
she should feel a pouse love. She didn't do anything,
-
so I'm like, so I came close eyes and look
-
at her husband.
-
He's crying. But God's presence was in that room.
-
In a couple of seconds, she finally responded with it amen,
-
and she opened her eyes slowly. I want to tell
-
you don't ever miss that chance, if you ever get
-
to pray with someone in a condition like that. I
-
came in a very with a person with a very
-
dark shadow over her, just hopelessness.
-
But as we prayed, I could see.
-
Something changing, changing changing, and suddenly lifted up light and
-
she felt that and she said, is steady? I said, yes,
-
Jesus lives in you now. And you know what's the
-
first thing she said to me that broke my heart
-
still breaks my heart. She said, take me to church?
-
Can I go to church? And I well, like, when
-
you get well, I'll take you to church. In Cyberjaya,
-
we have a church next door to you. She said,
-
I want to go to church.
-
You see.
-
That touched me because when we can go to church,
-
we don't go right. I have to be busy like
-
other plans, like church is not a priority in many
-
of people's lives. But when when the hunger of God
-
comes in, because the spiritual feels you, the first thing
-
most of us respond is like, how can I serve God?
-
When we when we when we've been vexed leader, we
-
come back to Jesus. First thing is how can I
-
serve God? Can I be usher?
-
Oh?
-
Can I?
-
Can I even just hold your bag? Can I just
-
carry a cout water for you?
-
You know?
-
Can I do something or you know whatever? I can?
-
I just want to do I can I do? Excuse?
-
I just want to serve She first thing she asks
-
was can I go to church?
-
She related, the faith and the church. Man. You know
-
so many believes some times don't even think.
-
Of church because it's not the most important thing. It's
-
a non negotiable for me and my husband. We will
-
be at church. I've not missed church since I'd been
-
a Christian, only that one time when I had a miscarriage,
-
I couldn't go to church. But wherever nation we were,
-
where if we were on a holiday, even if I
-
couldn't understand the language, I'll just sit Spanish, Greek, just
-
sit there and worship. She coined it together, and I said,
-
when you get well, Marie will take you to church. Okay,
-
I just want to go to church. I said, I
-
can't take you to church now because you can't walk
-
and you're not moveable. She said okay. And then I
-
told the husband, said, hey, you know, Skip, do you
-
know the Lord's prayer? You know, being American, they should
-
know something. And he said, I kind of remember the
-
Catholic background. I say, okay, I'm gonna lead you in
-
the Lord's prayer. Let them in the Lord's Prayer, repeat
-
after me. He's balling. He's just tell you why it's
-
not his natural So I think God holy spirits just
-
touching him because he loves his wife. He wants her. Well,
-
we're praying for her. Next day I visit her again.
-
I buy the Bible, spend a lot of money on it,
-
giant print so that she can see, giant praint, very expensive,
-
and bring some books called Exclaim. These are the testimonies
-
from our church. Your testimony is. I bring it to them.
-
I say, here's some material and say do I pay you?
-
I said, no, skip, it's a gift from me. Just
-
take it.
-
So wow.
-
Then then she says, I can't sleep. I'm seeing shadows.
-
So when you know people are at the end stage,
-
they do get disturbances, darkness. I said, no crisis in you.
-
Let me pray for you so that you can sleep
-
well at night. Prayed for her, cast out all the disturbances.
-
Then she was fine, and then he said, you know
-
he cried again. He said, is this your job to
-
make me cry?
-
No? No, I don't. It's the Holy Spirit.
-
I said, you know, God's presence. And she was happy,
-
and she asked me again can I go to church?
-
Second time? Ask me go to church? Are you like
-
not take you to chuch.
-
Noao, lah, I'll be judged to you, right, So I
-
say no, I'm Marie get well, you know, we'll we'll
-
get you to church.
-
We p part ways. I don't see her for two weeks.
-
I'm busy. My life's gotten busy back again. Not in
-
the country. I come home. Me and Jill are somewhere
-
in some far away place having a meeting. Get the
-
call says Marius has passed on. I believe she really
-
accepted Christ, because nobody asked to go to church if
-
you weren't truly converted.
-
Just transform, right, can see the transformation.
-
I go, we go, we visit them, we take a grab,
-
We go there, and then we meet Skip and then
-
I say sorry, and then Skip says, oh, before you go,
-
can I just tell you something. I'm talking about hunger.
-
I'm talking about presence of God. And she said, do
-
you know what, guess what was her favorite book. I'm
-
like Bible, and like her favorite book was the book
-
with all your pictures in it.
-
So sometimes I like, really, sweat and blood do that exclaim?
-
You know, sweat and blurred?
-
No writers, I'm like, oh whatdy? Help me sweat and
-
blurt that dare like, thank you Jesus. Our testimony is
-
every testament, Aram Joanne. Maybe it was your testimony. You know,
-
it's your testiny's been to exclaimed as well, and different
-
people's stories.
-
And she just kept looking.
-
He said, she just had a desire to go to church,
-
and those pictures represented church was your stories. So when
-
I asked you to share testimony, don't be so proud
-
and going like no I need please, It's okay. One
-
day you'll get printed somewhere somewhere. Because this lady looked
-
at the faces, looked at the group pictures, and he said,
-
she kept looking and went through it and read it
-
over and over. Get you just wanted to go to church. Guys,
-
stop bonding, Judge cannot he single, So I come to church.
-
You know, if I care what, I want to come
-
to church. Unless I'm getting a disease day, I won't come.
-
But you don't know how important the Bride of Christ
-
is the church that it matters to some people, maybe
-
to us who are so used to it like as
-
just another day.
-
Now, bro, it ain't just another day. It means something
-
I'm not saying. Only here you can meet sister can
-
be She sus in your office.
-
But there's the concept of being a believer and going
-
to church to worship together, the hunger, the God's Holy Spirit,
-
anointing on our lives, the presence of God.
-
Amen. And I've got to run. And you know what
-
what we need to ask the Lord.
-
For is restore his joy of our salvation. The joy
-
of God's salvation in our lives needs to be restored.
-
As you journey to the cross, remembrance of the Cross.
-
Remember the joy of your salvation. Now, what a precious
-
thing you have, the Kingdom of God living in us.
-
When you're alone, when you when you're driving, when you're
-
in your quiet time, I always reflect, you know, the
-
Lord is with me.
-
He's so good, He's so kind to me. And so
-
the restoration of the joy of god salvation in our lives. Amen. Amen,
-
you know I was.
-
I was so touched to have had the opportunity to
-
lead this woman together with Jill, to know Christ. And
-
and something edged in my heart that whenever we encounter Christ,
-
the first thing people's first thing we do is I
-
want to go to something that is connected to faith,
-
to gathering. This lady never one day went to church,
-
not one day I saw all the photos. I stood there,
-
me and Jill looking oh wild wild, all right, nothing nothing.
-
The husband's very thankful. The children, like the daughters are
-
like inviting me. Come if you're in Australia, come withsy.
-
If you're in America, come busy, da da da, like,
-
thank you for helping my mom through her They don't
-
believe in Christ. But this is what we brought to
-
the table. That joy came over her life. She experienced something.
-
So for us it doesn't have to be that nineteen
-
seventy two it, you know, okay, none of you born
-
nine seventy two, okay, twenty all right, that joy of
-
your salvation, the knowing of Christ, when you got that,
-
you know, Honestly, after having lived only so many years
-
of my life, I just appreciate the fact that God's
-
got money in his hands. He's just got me in
-
his hands, and he knows where I should be, what
-
I should be doing. And so I rejoice in his salvation.
-
And finally David says that Lord restored me the joy
-
of salvation and uphold me by your generous spirit.
-
I think God is so generous to all of us,
-
each of us. He's so generous.
-
If you count, you could count your thanksgiving or blessings
-
in your life. You don't have to compare your life
-
to your neighbor, or to that neighbor, or to that
-
person or your brother's sister. But your life God has
-
generously lavished you with his amazing goodness. Never compare yourself
-
because this is where you're at. This is what you
-
need to have from Him. And he continues to bless
-
you because finally David says, Wow, you know God, I'm
-
just remembering how good you are. Then he says in
-
verse thirteen, as I'm restored, then I will teach transgresses
-
your ways, and sinners shall be converted to you. In
-
a simpler word, is just being a witnessler wherever I go,
-
I just want to testify what God has done for me. Shine,
-
show up, share wherever you are, Amen. Wherever you are,
-
you carry God's presents with you. The peace of christis
-
in you.
-
Amen.
-
Your home should be a home of filled with the
-
peace and the love of Christ. People come into your home,
-
you know, and they feel peace, not chaos. And I
-
created there's peace in your home.
-
Amen.
-
Again, the story reminding to all of you and Rachel
-
during the pandemic. Her colleague had such a difficult time
-
with delivering a baby, having the baby, and then and
-
then the baby wouldn't stop crying the whole time. The
-
new the mom would just give birth, give birth, new mom.
-
You know, got all kinds of what I don't know
-
what happened pour spotum okay.
-
It's not spartan, but it's post spotum okay. And and
-
they're like, you know, going to so much.
-
Husband, all these guys, the other seventy other sixty five
-
majority of our nation, and they call Rachel. A husband says,
-
I don't know what to do. She wants to take
-
a life, do something Rachel. Because the wife speaks about
-
Rachel all the time that this woman praise. So the
-
husband sarmad or whatever.
-
Whatever. Hey God, okay. So she says, you come over
-
to my house, just come, just come.
-
They brought the baby. They entered her house. The testimony
-
is the child stopped crying. That's what you want to
-
happen in your life. When the world comes in, they
-
find peace. The mom had peace. The child stopped crying,
-
the child slept, the lady could rest. The husband looked
-
in awe because the husbands was suffering, right, don't do anything.
-
Peace came upon them. That's why allies should be that
-
people walk into our homes, they should sense the peace
-
when you walk into a space. Tests you just gotta
-
have that confidence and then the confidence. And that's what
-
I see in our Pastor that he just really humbles
-
himself before the Lord. People can say what what ever
-
about him? He just hides himself in Christ. And that
-
confidence only because of Christ, whether hard times or good
-
times or challenging times, that confidence, that peace rangs. And
-
so when he walks and talks to people, that there's
-
an influence, there's something is.
-
Passed on to them. Then they ask, you know, hey,
-
you know what's this you know? And he gets to
-
share that.
-
I know. Pastor really just seeks the Lord daily. Daily,
-
he prays for for our church. He does very faithfully pray.
-
That's why it takes very long time. I have to
-
wait outside there so long, you know, to ours to
-
our worst hell breakfast ready, I know no answer, so kearny.
-
So he really does seek the Lord. There's immediately in
-
the prayer list. He also prays the prayer list. Are
-
you the one on the telegram? Yeah?
-
Like are you done.
-
I'm the bad personal always rushing anyway. I just feel
-
when God comes into your life, you want to be
-
that blessing, be that witness.
-
Amen. God's for you all the time, not against you. Hallelujah.
-
And so you know we're gonna close and in this
-
time and we're going to just look to the Lord.
-
Wine skins come on, new wine skin. Amen, Holy Spirit
-
feel us. Holy Spirit is ready to refiel us and
-
overflow us with fresh new wine.
-
Your faith in Christ is so precious.
-
We are we are just you know, God's God's vessel
-
ready to be used by him.
-
Amen.
-
Amen, His peace, his loving kindness and tendernesses. I think
-
again and again, you know, just listen to this. Sometimes
-
we don't think about it. Sometimes we're so we're too busy,
-
or we're we're.
-
Not I don't know. I just want to.
-
I just I just felt in a quiet time before
-
a few days weeks ago, as I was spraying and
-
just seeking the Lord.
-
Whenever we say God loves you, he really does. It's
-
not a cliche when when the word comes to you
-
that God loves you, and we say it so.
-
Often because we need to know more about love than condemnation.
-
We need to know more than God's for us, not
-
against us.
-
We need to know more and the assurance that this
-
is the day of grace, this is the great this
-
is the day of salvation.
-
This is the time to find strength in the Lord
-
and that he does love us. Amen. Amen. Church.
-
And and as as we go through this, my invitation
-
to you is, would you be that nu white skin.
-
I mean, you had a bad day, So what.
-
God turns it around? God turns around. I'm he made
-
a mistake. I'm repentant. God turned it around. I made
-
a mistake. I said the wrong word, I judged wrongly,
-
but I'm sorry, Jesus. I want to be in new
-
wine skin so that I can be filled overflowing with
-
new wine of.
-
The Holy Spirit.
-
Hallelujah, Amen, Judge, Amen, this is the hope that we
-
have in Christ. He's bigger than what you own. He's
-
bigger than your property, he's bigger than your finances, is
-
bigger than your love life.
-
He's bigger. He holds us in.
-
His hands, and he just wants to overflow you and
-
bless you and give you peace, Amen, so that you
-
can carry that peace into wherever you are, whether you
-
have a little or you have a lot. The richness
-
that you have is truly the presence of God. Hunger
-
for his presence, want more of that in your life.
-
Be rich and generous in the right spirit all the time.
-
Amen.
