You're listening to a message to go from at church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
Today. I'm going to talk about first thing, okay, because
-
it's our last week, right, last week, how many of
-
you here fast thing? Just wave your hand, fast thing.
-
I was talking to Aaron and it's so encouraging and saying,
-
oh fast now, I can fast? Last time very hard, no,
-
you know, because every time I fast, you know, all
-
kinds of things happened. And true, true, our body goes
-
through a change when we fast, right, because it's not
-
used to certain thing and it's a new deprivate for Fuda,
-
he will retaliate, you know. But I'm happy to hear that.
-
My brother here is like, yeah, I finally did it.
-
My body submitted to what I want to do, you know,
-
and I think we're gon do more of the time.
-
I say, yeah, fast because first thing is quite healthy.
-
There are a lot of studies on fasting and how
-
it actually resets your body and does different things. Right,
-
So if you're fasting, let's carry on, okay, don't give
-
up another four more days, five more days okay, five
-
more days, right, but let's study a little bit about
-
fast thing. The first time I fasted was I'm not
-
sure that I shared this story. I don't they I've
-
said before was when I was in form five and
-
I learned in church that if you want to pray
-
for something, you're fast. So simple, right we are you
-
want to pray, and you only fast if it's serious
-
because Jesus said, oh, this won't be cast out except
-
by prayer and fasting, right, So only serious, only you're fast.
-
So the time experiment was quite seriously so and I
-
wanted to get good grades. Okay, I wanted good grades.
-
So so I say, hey, okay, God, I'm gonna fast
-
for the first time two months, okay, and I will
-
do Daniel fast right means if you are Daniel, don't
-
see me. Okay. Uh. That was the first I was doing.
-
Uh and uh and and and and someone advice right, Hey,
-
you know actually I tell you our church, you're so
-
awesome you want to fast, so we give you devotional
-
last time I do. The only advice get oh, go
-
read is f fifty eight. Telling a seventeen year old
-
to go and read is f fifty eight. To try
-
and understand fasting r is as good as saying, hey,
-
you want to fix your car. Here's the manual, Go
-
and fix your car. You're like, how am I gonna learn?
-
So I read is fifty eight New King James version,
-
and I was like, I have no idea. All I
-
know is God is happy it is and not happy
-
it is. And I don't really understand. But I read
-
the eight I did the first thing, and the cool
-
thing about the first thing was that you might start
-
with selfish reasons, but you will end with not selfish
-
reason one because it is a transformation of your heart.
-
Not necessary. You know, it's very funny and no humans are.
-
We're very reward oriented. We are very benefit oriented. We're
-
very selfish, he said, the right word to use, not
-
nice to use our selfish past. You know the church right, right,
-
but it's true, right, you won't do things that won't
-
benefit you want very rarely we will do things that
-
won't benefit us. You know, we only do things that
-
benefit us. Okay, I'm not gonna ask anybody to raise
-
up your hands. Okay, but that's the truth, right all.
-
But you say, oh, but then I sacrifice for my family.
-
You are it's unconditionedal No, it's conditional. They're your family.
-
If they're not your family. You still sagurance, so them
-
or not? I don't think so still like by something right.
-
So let's study Isaiah fifty eight. Okay, so maybe I'll
-
read Lackay. So it says, here, cry aloud, spare not
-
isah verse one, lift up your voice like a trumpet,
-
tell my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob
-
their sins. Yet they seek me daily, and they like
-
to know my ways. And as a nation that did
-
righteousness and did not forsake the ordinance of their God,
-
they asked of me the ordinances of justice. You know
-
what ordinance? Ordience just means like a law legal. They learning,
-
they're learning that right, and they take their light in
-
approaching God. Sounds good. So far, everything sounds good. So far. Yeah,
-
I think it sounds good. And then it says in
-
verse three, why have we fastered? They say, and you
-
have not seen? A Hey, I thought they did everything
-
right verse one, verse two. But then I'm seeing them complain,
-
why have we fastered? And you you big wi It
-
means God, no, you have not seen. Why have we
-
afflicted our souls? And you're not taking notice? Why we suffer? God?
-
And you didn't realize huh suffer? Okay, that's interesting. In fact,
-
in the day of your fast you find pleasure and
-
exploit all your laborers. Indeed, you're first for strife and debate,
-
and to strike with the fists of weakedness. You will
-
not fast as you do this day to make your
-
voice hurt on high? Is it a fast that I
-
have chosen? This? God's speaking a day for a fast
-
for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to
-
bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread
-
outside cloth and anxious? Would you call this a fast
-
and acceptable day of the Lord? Okay, let's break this down.
-
Pretty interesting. First verse, second verse looks correct, looks correct,
-
doing everything right, guys. So it shows you that sometimes
-
we may look like we do it ever doing right,
-
but still something is wrong. Right, everything seems fine, but
-
they're still in the outside. But still something is wrong,
-
you know. And then God addresses something deeper, because what
-
is he addressing. He's addressing not just your complaint. Don't complain, No, no,
-
it's not that He's addressing the condition of your heart.
-
Why did they fast? Right? Because they say, oh we fast, God,
-
why we suffered? Why didn't you see us. We affected out.
-
We know why can't you see? Aren you good? God?
-
Didn't you love us? And then he say, in the
-
day of your fast, you'll find pleasure and exploit your laborers. Wow. Hello,
-
you're doing everything correct, you're fast thing, but what are
-
you still doing? Don't realize that first thing is not
-
just don't eat the white? We say, first thing is
-
not just direting. You know, first thing is not just
-
you know, no, it's not the act. Right, And you
-
say you fast or strifeing? Debate you first because you
-
want to prove a point, right, and you strike with
-
the face or weakness? Weakness come from where it comes
-
from the heart. Okay, And he said you were not
-
fastest you do this day? And then he also addresses something,
-
is it that we want to faster that we can
-
just all suffer together? Church less suffer together? Right do you? Everybody?
-
Everybody are okay? So we suffer so we can show
-
like we're a good Christian. Is that the fast that
-
God has chosen? He's saying, no, that is not the
-
fast that I have chosen. Right, So the people they
-
fasted as well as an act. They fast as an act.
-
You know, no church with issue don't. Don't fat you know,
-
we don't. We highly encourage you to do it, but
-
it's not a rule of law. So if you can't,
-
you don't want to, and all. It's fine if we
-
don't judge people know for it because at the end
-
of the day, it's between you and God. Right, But
-
we want to tell you the benefit and what you
-
will get out of committing yourself to the Lord. That's
-
what we want to share a few. But the people
-
they fasted as an act. Unfortunately, they suffered and sacrificed,
-
but there was no heart that was surrendered to God
-
because they were still object to their own their own desires. Right,
-
whatever the desire is, right, what does it mean? Well,
-
it means that they did it for the sale doing it.
-
They just did it for the Okay, guys, twenty one
-
there's you and fast. Let's all do it. Yay, that's it.
-
They just did it for the self. Doing it right,
-
and their hearts was what God saw in verse three.
-
And for how come God can see their heart? God
-
can see their heart. God can see your heart. I
-
can see your heart. So I won't know, but God can. Right,
-
twenty one days of U turn and fast for us.
-
And now we're going through the last five days. It's
-
a time where we you turn back to God or
-
do you mean past? Before this, I was not working. No, no, no,
-
that's not what I mean. Because sometimes in life, the reality,
-
even if you are doing right, you just do you
-
know that you've got to sometimes take a pause, reflect
-
just you know, I mean, God of like leadership, think
-
about stuff like reflection, lah wanna, realignment, la restart, retreat,
-
all the reads right, you know. Why do they do that?
-
Because when we just go go, go, run, run, run,
-
we might veer off and don't realize and by the
-
time we realize too late. That's the danger. That's why
-
it's good to always have a reflection. It's always good
-
to come to a place where like, okay, I reset again.
-
And every year when we do fasting and you turn
-
the encouragement encouragement not the rule of law is that hey,
-
can we realign again or not? Because maybe we need
-
to check some things. And even if you're doing the
-
things that are good, yes, you're loving the law, you're
-
doing good, continue in that reflecting and realigning. It's still
-
a good thing. You get you get, I mean, so
-
you turn for us is that coming back to God,
-
coming back to say Lord, we're gonna pause everything and
-
we're gonna take this time to really get into you. Right,
-
instead of eating and indulging ourselves, we're just gonna pray.
-
And yes we have needs, but we just want to
-
spend time with you. Right. Why do we enchaig you
-
to have means? Why do we do testimonies? Because testimonies
-
is an evidence of God working in your life. Oh
-
but only during you turn? No, not only doing you turn,
-
but we recognize that during you turn there's more focus.
-
And because when there's more focus, I shed before here.
-
I think why do chems work? Why do chems work?
-
Why do concerts work? Because there's more focus? Just that?
-
But do you know that God don't need cams or concerts,
-
He doesn't need you turn to work in your life.
-
The problem is us, Actually are we focused? We are not.
-
We're so distracted. It's like you turn helps us to
-
come say, okay, right, are you turned? Do you know
-
that you can fast any other day? Can you want
-
to make your lives? And go ahead? Nobody's stopping you
-
in our lives, in our decisions. You turn right in
-
our love and our commitment to Christ. Maybe we've been
-
serving faithfully, but we've los us the desire, you know,
-
we're just doing it as a job. Then we've got
-
to come back. Maybe we forgot our first love Christians
-
so many years today, I kind of forget what I'm doing.
-
What I'm doing right, come back? You know. Maybe you're
-
in a place where you know, I don't know, you're
-
the only Christian in your family, and God said your
-
family is going to get saved and experience Christ. But
-
then there you are for the past two years, are
-
giving your parents. I don't know what. I'm just throwing
-
a I'm saying that because that happened to me, right, So,
-
I don't know what is it? What do we need
-
to you turn to God for to this topic is
-
a surrendered heart? Because as I read more and more
-
is f fifty eight, I realized that even when you
-
talk about the first thing, it's not just the act.
-
Is the condition of the heart. Do we even have
-
a surrendered heart? When we you turn to God, we
-
surrender to him. We surrender our heart to him, we
-
surrender our mind to him. It's not about what's happening
-
in the world right now, right, yes, yes, the day
-
my wife may be annoyse like, oh you know there,
-
we need to start saving money because patrol. You know.
-
Then I half worried that she will, you know, get
-
me to go and pump patrol in some tongue. You
-
know what, I thought. I know she's not gonna do that, larky,
-
but he gave me. No things happened in the world.
-
But but who's in control of friends? I'm not saying
-
don't care, don't be wise, you know, but do we
-
live our lives dictated by what's happening around us, or
-
do we live our lives in you know, as subject
-
to our Lord, God Almighty, who has the best for us.
-
We got to decide, friends, We got to decide. So surrender.
-
You want to surrender your heart to who? You want
-
to strender your heart to your desires. You want to
-
strender your heart to the world that is going to
-
disappoint you. You want a strengder your heart to a person,
-
or you want to surrender your heart to God. You
-
have to decide. Let's talk about strender. Now, what does
-
it mean to surrender to someone? Well, it's like how
-
we surrender ourselves to, for example, our spouse, for those
-
that are married right, their death to a spart really all.
-
I know the world has different values, but for us,
-
it's really their death. Do a s partler right, or
-
maybe we strender our house, do our families? Oh, Canna,
-
I cannot do anything. I cannot do this cano because
-
you know, my kid, my wife. It's not wrong, but
-
re evaluate, think about it because in my look right,
-
it might sound right, but you gotta check your heart right. Oh,
-
maybe surrender ourselves to our situation or boss? Sorry, yeah,
-
John cannot. I cannot blag it. I have to go
-
and play golf with my boss. I no, now, we're here,
-
play golf because everybody playing golf is out there at
-
the golf course this morning. Actually, I have a I
-
have a church member who loves golf and plays golf.
-
But he's there on in church on Sunday. You play
-
golf other day. I'm like, okay, we strender friends. Who
-
have you been strending your life too? Even if we
-
say job right, someone shared me something very profound. I
-
feel you know all the stress that you're going through
-
in your job today. Tomorrow do you know that tomorrow
-
when you tender your resignation, that those problems are no
-
longer your problems, very funnier life. We stressed, we stressed.
-
Josiah disagrees. He's like, no, it's still gonna be my problem,
-
even if I tend it tomorrow. Well, it's true, ConA,
-
once you quit means the CD not your problem anymore.
-
Day right. The only problem is that you can quit family, la,
-
you'll start with them, they'll death to a spot. But job,
-
job is just a job, right. Even you say, oh,
-
my own business, Yeah, I think you've got a business
-
saying no more brom or go for someone else. Let
-
that be as someone else's problem. You can steal the
-
side on Why do we live our lives as though
-
we are start friends? We are not start that's the reality. Okay,
-
So what does it mean if we can strender ourselves?
-
Let me let me let me play a bit of
-
Devil's advocate. If we can strender ourselves to all these things, right,
-
why not strender ourselves to God, who wants the best
-
for you, who is how father in heaven who has
-
everything in his hands? Think about it? Interesting? Let's read
-
on Isaiah fifty eight, verse seven to eight. Verse seven says,
-
is it not to spare your brain. Oh sorry, let's
-
read verse six. Okay, is this not the fast that
-
I have chosen to lose the bonds of wickedness, to
-
undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppress go free,
-
And that you break every yoke. It is not to
-
share your break with the hungry, and that you bring
-
to your house the poor who are cast out. When
-
you see the naked, that you cover him and not
-
hide yourself from your own flesh. Then your light shall
-
break forth like the morning. Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
-
and your righteousness shall go before you. The glory of
-
the Lord shall be your great God. See. God tells
-
us in Isaiah chapter fifty eight, verse sixty eight that
-
God chose the fast. That God chose it's not a
-
fast about ourselves, friends, but it's a fast that we're
-
aligned to God's heartened character. Or what do you mean
-
by that, nailvin? Huh? What do you mean by a
-
fast that aligns to God's heartened character? Well? Because God's
-
heart and character is always about others. It's never about himself.
-
He loves super unconditionally. That's God's character. He always thinks
-
about others. He doesn't think myself or no so when
-
he asks for this fast, don't you think it aligns
-
to God's character? Why is it important that he aligns
-
to his character? Didn't I share in the beginning of
-
this message that God is our father in heaven and
-
we are his children, not self for others, friends, God
-
always wants to meet the need of his children. A
-
stranded heart to God, I argue, this will display God's
-
character and desires. Is that true? A heart that is stranded,
-
you know, a heart that's stranded to those they are
-
merrit or maybe you know in love, a heart that's
-
stranded to one another. When you're in love, you always
-
want the best of the person on right, You always
-
want to buy the best of the person. Right. You know,
-
everything goes eat what you or you eat? Like now, me,
-
me and my wife, right, we we always we always
-
get this stale mate. You know, what do you an idea?
-
I don't know. After you, what do you want to eat?
-
Then for the next half an hour be like that,
-
and then one of us get irritated because most of
-
that I decide, you know, uh, and she's not pequila,
-
you know, but still we get stuck in that.
-
Uh.
-
And then one of my kids to decide I want
-
to McDonald's. They were like no, and we ended up
-
choosing something else not McDonald's. So no, but but but
-
that's how it is, right when when you you know,
-
when you surrender your heart to someone, right that you
-
you know, everydy think about the person right passes even
-
Sharon right, one of the best for you know, but
-
of course the prior of humans right, which very fun. Okay, yeah,
-
I share you We all will understand is we want
-
the best of the person, but we always give the
-
best of what we think the person wants, not one
-
the person actually wants. And you know they say opposis
-
a track. So you end up doing something for the
-
person that you think the person will like, but I
-
see the person don't like. Couse it's total opposite or
-
what a person likes. Take it from someone who's happily married, right,
-
So then you have to adjust. Then you have to
-
figure out what would make the person happy, and think
-
about the stuff that you want to do for the
-
person opposite or what you will do for yourself, and
-
then maybe a lot better. God also promises. So what
-
is the benefit? Rend said, we all do stuff because
-
we are benefited. Well, let me give you some benefits,
-
because God promises a few more things. When we fast
-
the way he wants us to fast, we fast away
-
a strended heart, fast to the Lord, not to our desires,
-
not about what I want. Right, Okay, let's read on,
-
let me see. Okay. Then you shall call out verse nine,
-
and the Lord will answer. You shall cry, and he
-
will say, here I am if you make away the
-
yoke from your midst the pointing of the finger, and
-
speaking of wickedness, how many of you are fasting, and
-
you know scalding each other? Okay, please don't right, Please
-
practice grace and mercy and forgive one another. Right. If
-
you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the
-
afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
-
and your darkness shall be nine noon day noon day.
-
The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your soul
-
in drought, and strengthen your bones. You shall be like
-
a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose
-
waters do not fall fail. Those from among you shall
-
build the old way spaces. You shall rise up the
-
foundations of many generations, and you shall be called the
-
repairer of the breach the restorer of streets to dwell
-
in that verse itself is very significant, and I'll unpack
-
it one by one with you guys. So God promises
-
us that after we surrender an aligned to him, after
-
we fast and say, hey, Lord, I will want to
-
fast away you want too fast? What's the other thing
-
about fasting? We take our fleshly desires in submission. That's
-
why we abstain from food, the most basic need of
-
a human being. That's how profound it is. A fast right.
-
Of course, in our church we say and Christ you, oh,
-
you can fast social media and or fast something you
-
don't like. We want to help people, but ultimately I
-
will encourage you. Ultimately consider a food fast because it's
-
very hot, unless you're not well or you need to
-
eat medication. Then God readink that okay. So what happens
-
when we align and strengther when we say bodies submit well?
-
Isaiah fifty eight, verse eight says God will, we will
-
be fulfilled and all our needs. To Let me read
-
that again. Then your light shall break forth like the morning.
-
Your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall
-
go before you. The glory of the Lord shall be
-
your red God. We will be fulfilled and all our
-
needs will be met, all our personal needs to be met.
-
You will get your healing and the one thing I
-
like about the Lord to be your red God. You
-
know that line. Let me interpret the line for you.
-
What does REGD mean? They a'll know re God? Do
-
you all know what re God means? H? Watch your back? Right?
-
Do you have any of you besides moms here? I
-
know moms have eyes at the back of their heads
-
because that's what my mom had. Do you have eyes
-
at the back of his No? Right, If someone comes
-
up from you at the back, you won't know, right.
-
But do you know that God will be a red God?
-
Do you know that no one will make the jump
-
on you? Do you know that even if you're in
-
a toxic environment, because God will be your red God,
-
no one can will get the better of you. Think
-
about it that way. God will cover the things that
-
you don't even know what happened to you. That's what
-
it means when you strender to him. Powerful right? Powerful? Right? Wow,
-
I can thank God for all the times that I
-
almost blank and I didn't even know. That's amazing. What
-
else second point is you'll be able to speak to
-
God and he will answer. Isaiah fifty eight, Verse nine says,
-
then you shall call and the Lord will answer. How
-
many people like that? You shall cry and he will say, here,
-
I am right. If you take away the yoke from
-
your midst the pointing of the finger and speaking of wickedness.
-
You know when when it says you're able to he
-
will answer. What does this speak off to me? It
-
speaks off relationship. God will have a relationship. If you don't,
-
you think that's true. When you strenger your heart to someone,
-
your relationship, MA, of course, you will constantly talk. It's
-
not just once a week you see how many will
-
you here? See your spouse ones awakeney, see your kid
-
once awaken. The other time you're not seeing them. I
-
would argue that that's a very unhealthy relationship if you
-
do that. You know, no, you're with them all the time,
-
most of the time you're talking to you have a relationship, right.
-
Third point, it will change our situation from dark to
-
light when we do the things that God wants or
-
care for right, God will take care of us. Let
-
me read The Lord will guide you continually. Oh sorry,
-
Verse ten. If you extend your soul to the hungry
-
and satisfy the cricked soul. Then your light shall dawn
-
in the darkness, and your darkness shall be like noon day.
-
Let me interpret the darkness shall be like noon day.
-
Your lowest point in your life will be like afternoon.
-
Means you won't suffer too badly. Quite cool, right when
-
you read that, And the Lord will guide you continually
-
and satisfy your soul in drought and strengthen your bones.
-
You shall be like a watered garden, and like a
-
spring of water whose waters do not fail. Very poetic, okay,
-
very poetic, but it just means God be if you
-
are right. Have y'all seen a How many of you
-
like to have a p How many have you been
-
picniced before? Have you been picniced before? Went for picnic before? Okay?
-
Mostly I can see if you've never been to a
-
picnic before, please go. It's quite fun one, right, of course,
-
going to the people you like to go with flower? Okay,
-
how many of you you've been to a picnic before?
-
You like to go to a picnicer where the garden
-
is not walter on, you've got dying leaves. You'll probably
-
don't like that. Right, you go picnic, You don't go
-
to a water garden. Right, garden is green, lash, a
-
lot of flowers. You know you also feel happy? Right? Right?
-
Correct or not right? God said that you will be
-
like water garden. Think about this, a person who a
-
person that who's constantly even in this climate where petrol
-
prices are going up, the person still looks like a
-
water garden. Say happy, say peaceful? Interesting. God said he
-
will make you like that, the last one, God, what
-
else will you do? This is why I think it's powerful.
-
In Isaiah. Let me read it first Isaiah first fifty
-
eight verse Job says those from among you shall build
-
the old waste places. You shall raise up the foundations
-
of many generations. And you shall be called the repairer
-
of the breach, the restorer of streets. To dwell in.
-
UN's breach on a bridge is like a broken wall. Right,
-
you will repair broken walls. You will restore streets. You know, streets.
-
You know the thing about streets, right, Streets is not
-
a place to stay one. But it says that streets
-
to dwell in. Right. Again, very poetic, but this is
-
how I interpret it. Basically, God will establish us in
-
our purpose for Him and leaders to our destiny in Him.
-
What is the purpose for this life? When you strender
-
your heart to God, you will receive it. Let me
-
give you another thing that caught out of this. It
-
says here you shall raise up the foundation of many generations.
-
I think this is something that when you are young
-
you don't think about much. But the older you grow,
-
the more you think about legacy. The more you think
-
about future generation when you have kids, the more you
-
think about it. Before kis on, you can like Yolo
-
man right, John, Yolo buy that BMW. Right, No, no, no,
-
he's checking. Say now, I will still buy the BMW.
-
Of course it's safe of my child. You know, different,
-
different decision making process. You know, you save money differently
-
any last time. It's like save money for PS five
-
now made up PS sixty. I don't know, but it's
-
different when you have kids. There's no desire, right, or
-
the desire is not as strong. Right you think about
-
future generations. See God promises here that he will make
-
all of us here, whether you got kids or not,
-
to build future generations. Think about that means that you
-
will have a legacy even if you have no kids.
-
You will still have a legacy. We think that only
-
kids is our legacy. No. I know a lot of
-
leaders in our church. I won't name who. They don't
-
have kids, but they have a very strong legacy. Maybe
-
they have spiritual children. Maybe they are people that they
-
pass on to like hand over to right amazing leaders
-
that has a legacy. Let me finish up. Okay. It
-
says here in verse thirteen, if you turn away your
-
fruit from your foot, from the sabbath, from doing your
-
pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight,
-
the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor him,
-
not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure,
-
nor speaking your own words, then you shall delight yourself
-
in the Lord and will cause you, and I will
-
cause you to write on the high heels of the earth,
-
and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
-
The mouth of the Lord has spoken. See God reminds
-
us again in these two versus to not do not again,
-
to not strender our hearts to ourselves, but to strender
-
our hearts to Him and to honor him. And friends,
-
the cool thing is that all his promises will come
-
after that, not before right, and we had to promise something.
-
When the persons start complying Corona meanwhile, to use the Okay,
-
I give you this perspective, right, Why is it so important?
-
Oh?
-
By God, it's good. Wouldn't he reward me anyway? Wouldn't he? No? No, no,
-
no no, let's let's let's give this perspective again. If
-
God is our father and we're all his children, let
-
me talk to fathers the house. Would you reward your
-
child for something they do wrongly? Doll you you won't.
-
Any anybody that has a brain will say no, why
-
won't you? But you love him? What you love? How? What?
-
Why won't you reward them and give them all that
-
they deserve for something they did wrong? Why? Because you'll
-
spoil them? That word itself spail coroner, Because isn't that
-
And if we understand that, why can't we understand that
-
God can do that to us, that he'd rather not
-
spoil us, that he'd rather us follow him. Because if
-
we think that it's you know, all I need to
-
do is have affiliation. No you don't. Hey, both my
-
kids affiliated to me. You know, I will die for them,
-
I will go all out for them. But the other
-
thing that will not that I won't do is that
-
I will. I won't teach them to be horrible human beings.
-
If I can understand that, why what not? My God
-
in heaven, my Father in heaven, and we all want
-
that for our children. We want to raise them up
-
to be people that you know, people that other people
-
will be able to. I don't know what you say,
-
look up to help you know. I do want to
-
raise up a child that will betray everybody, be evil.
-
Nobody wants to do that, guys. Don't you think God
-
wants to do that? God does someone do that. That's
-
why he constantly reminds us, hey, hey, hey, hey, my child,
-
listen to me. A follow me, A follow the commandments
-
are and then you'll be prosperous because when you follow
-
the commandments and you're aligned to my word, everything I
-
will give you. But if you're being all disobedience, it's
-
very hard for me, coral or not. If you're being
-
this obedience, very hard for me. How if both my
-
kids are being dion, it's very difficult for me. I
-
cannot say one thing and do another thing. You know,
-
then that reflects on my character one more God's character.
-
Why can't we understand that it's Christians friends, we should
-
you know, we think we live on grace? Is that grace?
-
There is grace, There is still grace in my kids.
-
They do something wrong, I will suffer for them right
-
as much as I can. But they still need to
-
learn the lesson, because if they don't learn the lesson,
-
they'll do it again. A father rewards his children after
-
his child follows his instructions. Let's try to understand that
-
as believers, our father in heaven will reward us, will
-
give us the promises after, not before, after we follow
-
in his instructions, not before, not before. But if we're
-
ever in trouble, will he save us? He will, because
-
that's what a father will do, right, even if you're
-
asking for it. Even if my same, even if my
-
kids are getting trouble and they are the ones that
-
cause it, I will still save them. That's the reality,
-
right John. You will still and then teach after law
-
and then hopefully they learn now, but you'll still be
-
there for them. Amen, A stranded heart, I hope you
-
caught something today as we learn about fasting. When I
-
was seventeen years old, I really didn't get the script.
-
I'm like, Wow, this poetry is right happening. But I
-
guess when I'm older, I can't understand you a little bit.
-
I can't understand why God chose a fast that will
-
please him. I can't understand, not fully. Because if I
-
can understand God that I can be got ready. Maybe
-
some things he does I still don't get. There are
-
some things I do. My kids still don't get right,
-
but they trust me and I try my best. So friends,
-
the last lap of youthh can I encourage us here?
-
Maybe you? Oh I miss twenty one days? I miss
-
how many days are? What? Sixteen days are? Fifteen days? Ready?
-
Can I still can? Can? Can? Can we encourage you
-
to just still participate with us? Maybe start today, start tomorrow?
-
You know get it? There's no there's no how to say.
-
It's not too late on that. You know when it's
-
to late, when we're going when it's all gotten, day
-
is now now, it's still not too late. Can still
-
come back to human if you're fired from God this morning?
-
Can still come back one? God loves you, he cares
-
for you. So our last lap for youtn. I want
-
to encourage us to really strender our hearts to the Lord.
-
Take this time seriously, you know, because things can happen
-
even in a few days. And allow God to speak
-
to you. Allow your Father, God in Heaven to speak
-
to you. Amen.
-
