You're listening to a message to go from at church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
Taken first, the Book of John. All right, the Book
-
of John.
-
Every year every year, and I don't know if I
-
said it last week, but every years, as we have
-
our twenty one day prayer and fast and also what
-
we call Lent, which is forty days towards Good Friday,
-
I make it a point to read the whole week
-
that Jesus, the whole week of the last week of Jesus,
-
you know, before he went to the Cross. And I
-
read it again this year from the Book of Luke,
-
and wow, there were again new revelation, no, well, new
-
verses that popped up to me that I read it before.
-
And then it just so flipping right, And this time
-
I was popping up and jumping up at me on
-
what Christ did for me going through the cross.
-
So anyways, here we go.
-
The Lord is risen. Why amen? Not very convincing, lad Church.
-
Are you a.
-
Man? Yeah?
-
I give you exercise, local exercise.
-
Amen, Amen? Amen? Amen, all right, local exercises so that
-
your lungs get bigger. Amen. So we're so grateful for
-
an empty tomb Okay, if you didn't already know, yeah,
-
he didn't just hang on the cross and stayed there.
-
But when they buried him in this tomb in the garden,
-
when they came on Sunday to food spices and you
-
know the ladies, yeah, women, No, women were the first
-
at the tomb.
-
Women were the last at the cross.
-
I don't know.
-
You know, girls, you're blessed.
-
Amen. You know Jesus was the you know, he talked
-
to the woman first. I don't know something about the women. Amen.
-
Hearts are soft, always ready to just you know, hear
-
from the Lord. So and the men too, until they
-
came after after ye, So find a good woman, lessons.
-
You'll find a good woman who will always be at
-
the feet of Jesus.
-
All right, John chapter twenty.
-
And we're gonna read an account here, John chapter twenty,
-
verse eleven to eighteen. So if you if your Bible,
-
you can turn to John chapter twenty, verse eleven to eighteen.
-
Oh see that woman there, Yeah, okay, let's read. Okay,
-
verse eleven. Hey, maen, are you with me? Praise the Lord? Okay,
-
So here we go. But Mary stood outside by the
-
tomb weeping.
-
That's the picture that I had.
-
And as she wept, she stooped down and she looked
-
into the tomb, and then she saw two angels in
-
white sitting, one at the head and the other at
-
the feet, where the body of Jesus had.
-
Past tense ad lane. Wow.
-
And then they said to her, woman, why are you weeping?
-
And she said to them because they have taken away
-
my lord, and I do not know where they have
-
laid him verse fourteen.
-
Now, when she had said this, she turned around and.
-
Saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it
-
was Jesus. Why Jesus said to her, woman, why are
-
you weeping? Are you seeking? And she's supposing him to
-
be the gardener because the tomb was in a garden,
-
Remember a garden tomb. She said to him, sir, if
-
you have carried him away, tell me where you have
-
laid him, and I will take him away. Wow. Mary
-
was going to carry Jesus away. She must be a
-
very strong woman, all right. Maybe she's a heavy lifter, yeah, powerlifter.
-
Then Jesus said to her, no, no, Then Jesus said
-
to her Mary, She turned and said to him rabboni,
-
which is.
-
To say, teacher.
-
And then Jesus said to her, do not cling to me,
-
for I have not yet ascended.
-
To my father.
-
But go to my brethren and say to them I
-
am ascending to my father and your father, and to
-
my God, your God. Amen. And then Mary Magdalene went
-
off to tell the disciples she had seen the Lord
-
and that he had spoken these things to her. The
-
point that we want to capture was that when Jesus
-
was standing next to her and spoke to her, she
-
supposing him to be a gardener, said to him, sir,
-
you have carried him away while weeping and crying. Sir,
-
if you've carried him away, tell me. And then when
-
Jesus called her name, she turned and then only recognized
-
and said, teacher, all right, let's go to the next verse.
-
John twenty one. It's just the next chapter. John twenty one,
-
verse four to thirteen. All right, Oh, this is a
-
good one. Anyone up for breakfast this morning?
-
Okay?
-
Fish the LaPier is a lot of that in the
-
Galilee Lake Lord of Tlapier. Yeah, I don't know. Some
-
people don't like Delapier anyway, John twenty one, verse four. Now,
-
now before before verse four, Peter, you know he had been,
-
you know, he like had the night Jesus. Right, So
-
he's already feeling low, really low. If your surname is low.
-
His surname was Peter loaded. Hey yeah, not you John
-
now ye low as he was low, and he was
-
feeling really down, and you know, what do we do?
-
And I feel really down? And everybody's hopeless. They're all scared,
-
you know, of all the Jewish leaders. I don't know
-
if they're gonna come and catch us because we were
-
followers of Christ. So they were all worried and they're all,
-
you know, just together. And then Peter like, that's it.
-
I'm just I can't do this anyway. I can't just
-
do I can't. So said, I'm going fishing. I'm going fishing.
-
What is it? He's going back to his trade. The
-
thing that he knew. He was sure that was what
-
he knew, because right at that moment, they didn't know
-
what was truth anymore? Where Where where's Jesus? What happened?
-
He died? Man?
-
All this going on and then we heard that the
-
tomb's empty.
-
Can't believe these women, you know women, they talk a lot,
-
and so they like don't know what's going on, right,
-
and so.
-
He goes back fishing.
-
And sometimes in our lives we're like that, when we're
-
not sure, we go back to this. We just go
-
back to things that were familiar. And sometimes that can
-
not always be good, you know. Uh sometimes and I'm
-
heard worries of how some girls and it really down
-
and not did they go back to the familiar god
-
old boyfriend.
-
Oh man, that's tough. That's tough. There's tough. Yeah yeah, yeah,
-
yeah yeah, not so good, oh man?
-
So you know what do we do? Go back to
-
the things that were familiar with Sometimes it's okay because
-
we need to.
-
Find to make sense of what's not clear. So they
-
go back fishing, right and.
-
Then verse four, so so what happened in the last thing?
-
They says okay, like the rest of them said we're
-
going with you. And they went out and immediately got
-
into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
-
That's verse three. It was night on Saturday night.
-
It's not it's really after the resurrection, right, So they
-
go out at night nothing. So but when the morning
-
had now come, Jesus stood on the shore. Yet the disciples.
-
You can say it with me, everybody read one more time.
-
The disciples, Hey did not know if you ever thought
-
about that? What happened? Then Jesus said to them, children,
-
have you any food?
-
And they answered him no.
-
So he said to them, hey, cast the net on
-
the right side of the boat and you will find some.
-
And so they cast Remember all night long no fish.
-
So they cast it on the right side.
-
Of the boat.
-
And now they were not able to draw it in
-
because of the multitude of fish. So therefore that disciple
-
whom Jesus loved, said to Peter, so the disciples right
-
thing is actually Jordna. Jesus loves me so much. Yeah,
-
so John said to Peter, it is the Lord. He recognized.
-
And now and then now when Simon Peter that it
-
was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for
-
he had removed it, and he plunged into the sea
-
as you would expect of Peter.
-
Just rash right, just jump into the sea, swam.
-
But the other disciples came in the little boat, for
-
they were not far from the land, but about two
-
hundred two hundred cubits. Can I even counter in kilow
-
meters two hundred yards, I don't know one hundred meters, Okay,
-
I didn't get the calculation for that anyway. But the
-
other disciples they came in, dragging the net with the fish.
-
One hundred meters. That's one hundred meter run right, okay,
-
so one hundred meters. How far from here to it? Wow? Today?
-
Maybe where the TV is, or be further, maybe me
-
further where the pantry is one hundred meters okay, a
-
little bit more, a little bit more like okay, right
-
outside there, okay, jump and you go, all right. So
-
so they dragged in the fish. Then as soon as
-
they had come to land, they came to land, and
-
they saw a fire of coals there and the fish laid.
-
On it and bread.
-
And then Jesus said to them, bring some of the
-
fish which you have just hot. Simon Peter went up
-
and dragged the net to land full of large fish
-
one hundred and fifty tree. And although there was so many,
-
the net was not broken. Jesus said to them, come
-
and eat breakfast. It was barbecue fish and maybe pokasha bread, ah, okay.
-
Flat bread.
-
And yet none of the disciples, none of them. Dad
-
say to him, who are you knowing that it was
-
the Lord? And then Jesus then came took the bread
-
gave it to them likewise the fish. And it was
-
now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his
-
disciples after he was raised from the dead.
-
Amen, do you like my picture?
-
Thank?
-
You can show my picture XU.
-
Yeah, okay, see barbecue fish, Yeah, fish jumping out of
-
the net.
-
And that was Jesus that morning. Okay, all right?
-
Is it was that?
-
Okay? Anyway, there was Peter.
-
Oh sorry, I thought it was a fish. Okay, Peter
-
was jumping in. All right, Peter was jumping in. Okay,
-
two accounts for you. I'm not sure if you've ever
-
thought about it, but this is Jesus resurrected, and he
-
was among among the people for about fifty days, visiting, visiting,
-
turning up suddenly, you know. And then another story which
-
I didn't put it up here, was the one in
-
the book of Luke where I remember the two guys
-
Cleoppers and his friend, and they were walking away from
-
Jerusalem to Emmaeus, the road to Emmaeus, and then they
-
were discussing stuff like what law is this Jesus real one?
-
How come last stable? What a death?
-
What a death?
-
Do you really work? They were talking, right, and then
-
and then suddenly Jesus, like some movies, we don't know
-
if he had on like a dancer there, like a
-
theon a cloak, we don't know. But he walked with
-
them and then he said, so, what are you guys
-
talking about? And they're like, are you some bordo? You
-
just came to Jerusalem? Did you not hear the big
-
thing that happened? No?
-
What was it?
-
Tell me? And so they began to tell Jesus and
-
then they went further further and they still couldn't recognize him,
-
and then until they came to almost Amaeas and they say, oh,
-
I think I gotta go. Jesus, say is and they
-
go like, no, it's won you hang out with us.
-
They still don't know who he is. And yeah, now
-
I need you to imagine a little bit like what's
-
going on. They don't know the stranger. And they're like, hey,
-
comes stay with us.
-
Now?
-
How am I having tea with us? Let's have coffee bean,
-
come on, and let's you know, just come. And then
-
I said, okay, I'll go, because they said would you
-
would you stay? And they say, okay, I'll stay. When
-
you invite Jesus, he stays and he stayed with them,
-
and then as they broke bread, their eyes were open,
-
and then they and then he disappeared. And then they said,
-
did our hearts not burn? Because he began to open
-
scripture to them, tell them about the prophets and the
-
law and in shad. And then they said, did our
-
hearts not burn? You can read that in the last
-
chapter of Look. And yet they couldn't recognize him. We
-
are not sure now, club Us. If you do a study,
-
they say there was. His name was mentioned actually clock
-
Bus in another part of the gospel in Mark, so
-
now she of the same person.
-
But they were obviously people who knew Jesus.
-
Mary Magdalene was so definitely would have known Jesus. We
-
have known your we'd have known your face. How come
-
she didn't recognize Have you ever asked the question? I
-
read it many times? I said, oh, come, you didn't
-
recognize Jesus. And then these guys like one hundred meters,
-
so a few assumptions. One hundred meters it's early morning,
-
maybe he was six still dark, very hard to recognize.
-
If Eunis was standing one hundred meters and it's six
-
o'clock in the morning, I'm standing.
-
There trying to look.
-
You cannot recognize her maybe hundred meters maybe ice not
-
good or four eyes so okaynot okay? So uh, you know.
-
And then and then and then this lady, but but
-
Jesus was next to her. But she was crying.
-
She's weeping, this girl, this woman really loved Jesus because
-
he set her free from several demons that had taken
-
over her life. The she's so grateful. Now she's lost
-
the savior, right, so she's crying. Maybe in between all
-
the tears and the snort and you know, blood already,
-
how maybe maybe cannot recognize. I'm more dark, some more
-
early morning, still cannot recognize. But then when when they
-
when he said Mary, and then she turned and recognized him. Amen.
-
So I'm trying to put some thoughts together with this
-
and why could they not recognize search the commentaries and
-
different commentaries say have different thoughts about this. But I'd
-
like to if you wouldn't allow if you would allow
-
me to suggest this next few points, that that maybe
-
when Jesus was resurrected, remember what was the last scene
-
they saw of Jesus? What was the last thing they
-
saw of Jesus? Anybody crucified? What what did he look like? Bloody? Injured?
-
Maybe how you say, swollen the face because he was
-
whipped right and and the whip were like this and pulled,
-
so all his skin was ripped. He's bleeding, right, his
-
back was ripped. The whole body was just ripped with
-
these some little uh the metal and the and the
-
and the bones.
-
Right there's shop.
-
So he's he's bleeding. And I said, fifty three says
-
he was beyond recognition. He was so just this figured
-
that it just you couldn't you couldn't tell it was Jesus.
-
But even when he was alive, they didn't even know
-
who was Jesus, because I've said here many times, he
-
didn't look anything like the picture that you know, the
-
ex kids had that day with the superheroes, Jesus with
-
the specs on and like muscular. I mean, that is
-
a gorgeous man. But Jesus didn't look anything like that
-
man with the specs. I asked the designers, I said,
-
you sure Jesus was specs? He said, you know, he
-
might have god dact lets. I don't know what.
-
They had very good eyesight.
-
So Jesus in scripture if you read Isaiah the whole chapter,
-
he says he had nothing comely.
-
That means he was not go looking on.
-
He's not like Sharrow Khane, you know, he even looked
-
anything like I don't.
-
Know, Middle Eastern. You know, Albert Ling's nothing.
-
You know, because Albert Lingo saw you can recognize, right,
-
but when you walk around you we might recognize. But
-
Jesus walked around the people every day, and yet he
-
was betrayed by a kiss. Because they could recognize Jesus,
-
they needed someone to show them who Jesus was.
-
So we've got to use imagination.
-
We got to think when Jesus walked on the earth,
-
would anyone have followed him? Would not have been for
-
his looks. Okay, it would not have been for his looks.
-
It had to be his spirit and the way he
-
knew people and connected with people that they followed Christ.
-
And so after the resurrection, you know, if you read
-
Corinthians and you read Thessalonians, they say that when we
-
are when we get resurrected, when God, you know, in
-
the second Coming, takes up all the bodies that are dead,
-
and then we'll be changed in the twinkle of an eye,
-
and then we'll have a new body, right, and and
-
that'll be your new heavens and new earth. We have
-
no idea what all this means because we never experienced
-
it before.
-
But some of us are like, yes, all my fans
-
will be gone. Okay, that's it.
-
That's it. Oh no, I'll go back haird everything. If
-
you lost hair, you know, all the men will lose hair. Yeah,
-
oh my hair will come back, and then you know.
-
According to one story, the book called Heaven is so
-
Real by this little the parents of this little boy
-
who wrote it, when he saw his grandfather in heaven, right,
-
he said, who did you see? And then he said this,
-
he saw people, but he didn't know who until he
-
saw the picture of his grandfather when his grandfather was
-
twenty one years old, and he said, I saw that man.
-
And then they go like, wow, Grandpa's gonna We're all
-
gonna look to anyone forever. Twenty one is it's it's
-
not just a label.
-
It might be true.
-
Okay, all right. If you today I look at my
-
old pictures, I cry cry, Oh my good I could
-
wear size as now cannot.
-
Okay, all right, So I don't know the new.
-
Body, God says you will, the dead will rise, they'll
-
have new body if we are still around and got
-
raptures as well, Da da da, and then all our sickness,
-
all our tears, you know, gone. So so maybe when
-
Jesus was resurrected, not just maybe it looks like something changed.
-
I don't know what it is because I wasn't there.
-
And then the scripture here that's in John chapter twenty,
-
verse verse thirty thirty one, it says, yeah, and truly
-
Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples,
-
which are not written in this book, but these are
-
written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ,
-
the Son of God, and that believing you may have
-
life in his name, that you may have eternal life
-
in his name. We have not seen Christ. Honestly, I
-
don't know what he looks like except for what pictures
-
show us. It may not even look like that. But
-
you know, will recognize him. How how so that's why
-
I ask what you indulge me in in what I'm
-
suggesting today in our faith, that they couldn't recognize him
-
until until there was a familiar a pattern. Throw your
-
nets on the right. Where did that happen before right
-
right in look, you can read that they were fishing.
-
And then this guy goes there and looks at him. Hello,
-
your carpenter, we had a fisherman. You're telling us that
-
we should throw our nets on the other side. And
-
then they say, okay, we did this the whole night,
-
but if you say so, boom, and then the whole
-
net is filled with fish. And then Mary, she she
-
was delivered by the Lord, set her free. I guess
-
when he called her, Mary, you know something open up
-
and she recognized the voice. Amen, and she she said, immediately, teacher.
-
So maybe we might not always be able to see
-
so clearly. Maybe cannot recognize. Maybe I had a face lift,
-
all right, but maybe you would recognize the familiar what
-
we have been used to. The voice read, you can't
-
see my heart, but you would feel my heart. So
-
I suggest to you this morning as we walk, I
-
also thought about it. When the Lord Jesus comes again.
-
They say he's gonna come in this in the clouds,
-
and it'll be so bright the whole world will see
-
that he's coming on this chariot. You read that in Caesssalonians.
-
And the whole world will see and I'm wondering, then again,
-
we've never seen Jesus. How will I know that's Jesus.
-
But Scripture tells us also, if you read it, that
-
if we're walking, he says, those who have ears hear
-
what the spirit of God is saying. It tells us
-
to watch and pray and look at the times and seasons,
-
and that you'll know that you'll hear a word prompted
-
in your heart that the Lord is coming. So I
-
suggest to you this morning, even though today most of
-
us have never seen I've never seen Jesus, I've heard
-
of him. I heard the transformation of what he'd done
-
to the lives of so many, and then I was transformed.
-
How did I receive Christ? I've never seen him, but
-
I heard about him, and I sensed him. I had
-
an ear to hear, I had an encounter with him,
-
and then I entered into a relationship. And my fourth
-
e is that I experienced him. That's all I have
-
of him, not a face, but his spirit lives in me. Amen.
-
So as we walk on earth today, as we continue
-
with our walking Jesus, I want to encourage us. Sometimes
-
we may not because he says people will go like
-
here's the Christ. There's the Christ, here's the Christ. Jesus
-
acond coming coming now now tomorrow. You know, remember year
-
two thousand, Jesus coming didn't happen, all right? Others will
-
say this, so how will you know? How will you know?
-
And I'm thinking the first thing is because you are
-
walking with the Lord, because you are seeking him, you
-
have your quiet time you talk to him. The first
-
thing is that you would recognize his voice. Now the
-
voice is not hello, Evelyn, but it's a voice in
-
your spirit. Because you've been talking to the Lord and
-
he speaks with you through the stirring in your heart,
-
in your spirit, you recognize his voice. So many times
-
I hear testimonies from you that you didn't see something,
-
but you heard your sense in your spirit. So there's
-
a recognition. But this recognition comes because of the every day,
-
because of the consistency, because you've been talking and you've
-
been listening, and then you know, you get being used
-
to this voice.
-
At first, not used to it. You know, you get used.
-
To it used, and you get more and more familiar
-
with that voice. So sometimes when you're you're busy with
-
life and you may forget that you can actually talk
-
to Jesus. And then that voice that's stirring, that says, hey,
-
you didn't lock your car. Then you're like, huh what
-
you didn't lock your car because I had that you
-
didn't lock your car? Like what I didn't? I didn't
-
border right this some years ago. It wasn't even my
-
car was the boyfriend's car.
-
Haha.
-
My boyfriend was studying in Singapore Bible School. So I
-
didn't lock my car. The car and next morning, lo
-
and behold, someone robbed my car right took all.
-
The whatever CD player, da da da whatever was that time?
-
Oh, do tell boyfriends, are your car got broken into?
-
But that voice, actually we can recognize it. Amen, be
-
assured that as you walk with the low and you
-
are getting used to him. Just this past week, one
-
of the sisters in our church, Sunny, said, passively spray
-
for me. I've I just got out and I can't walk.
-
Looks like I pulled the muscle and she needed crutches.
-
And then I said, okay, we'll pays. Say what happened?
-
How did this?
-
I don't know it just boo, you know.
-
And then she wrote to the next day she said, basta,
-
I was just going to watch TV like rest my leg,
-
and I felt this. I sensed the voice saying, spend
-
time with me, and I really wanted to watch TV.
-
But then I recognized it was the voice of the
-
Lord saying spend time with me. So I shut everything
-
out and I just worshiped the Lord and I read
-
the scriptures. And as she did that, she spent that hour,
-
whatever time that she spent. As she was done, she said,
-
as I stood up, the pain was no more. Wow. Amen.
-
Amen, Amen, when.
-
The Lord calls to you, take time, even if you
-
feel like I just want to sleep or I just
-
want to know I have an empty empty brain, right
-
empty box, and just watch TV or something, or watch
-
my favorite movie, all play the game or just scroll.
-
And the Lord just says stop. Would you just spend
-
time with me? And she said, okay, recognize his voice, Amen, Church,
-
we can recognize this stirring. The voice is not hello,
-
is it me? You're looking?
-
Oh, it's not. It's a voice that is a stirring
-
in your heart. And that's what.
-
Many of you experience. And and then that voice tells
-
you don't you know? You know that watch out you know?
-
And then you turn or you you know you, you
-
go back home and somebody an Another one of our
-
leaders told me on Friday, she said, passa, you know what,
-
I really took a break to that.
-
I said, what happened?
-
I got ready as my usual. And she's a very
-
she's a very systematic person. The coffee is here, the beard,
-
the bag, the computer. And then she gets into the
-
car and she's so society. She she doesn't like us
-
who are not systematic and organized. She doesn't, she doesn't.
-
She just really hates us, like you blowsy people. But
-
so she's so organized. And then she she goes off
-
to work, driving halfway the lot, says, you didn't take
-
your laptop or your note book?
-
Muh can be begs behind. I don't care.
-
I'm just driving around. Get to the office right. She
-
looks there, there ain't no bag. Whoa no bag, no
-
laptop cannot work right, And then she said, Cela, the
-
Holy Spirit on me, and I just didn't want to listen.
-
So there is the voice when you walk with Jesus,
-
and sometimes we tend to make it. Keep quiet, keep quiet, right.
-
Sometimes he gives you a red flag.
-
Don't go there, don't go there? Why what just go?
-
Just go there Alama, wrong place, or don't get into
-
that relationship. Don't get into that business connection because it's
-
not good for you. He's warning us, come on, right,
-
He's showing you all the signs but you can see.
-
And then you say, God, please speak to me. But
-
he's speaking to you. Remember old movie called Bruce Almighty? Right,
-
then what's his name? The actor Jim Gary. He's like, God,
-
speak to me, and then the arrow is showing him
-
here everything still drives and do it? So, yeah, God
-
speaks to you, but in ways that you will recognize
-
you just you, just you, and I sometimes just push
-
it behind. So I want to suggest to you, could
-
it be that maybe we'll not recognize his face. We
-
don't know how Jesus looks like, but we know his
-
heart for us.
-
We know that he went all the way to the
-
cross for us.
-
He before he was crucified, he refused to take the
-
sour wine mixed with mrk or God, because that was
-
a sedation drink to let you not feel the pain.
-
But he said, no, I'm gonna take that pain for
-
all of mankind. You and I have never been nailed
-
to any cross like we probably nailed our finger and
-
never staple our finger. How pain right, it is painful,
-
but this is nails nailing to the cross.
-
Jesus did not take any sedation.
-
No numbness.
-
He every shooting pain he felt.
-
So you and I can trust him to see us
-
through because he didn't.
-
Take a shortcut. He didn't come one day.
-
God could just send him one day, one day to
-
you know, just come and set us free. But he didn't.
-
He came for thirty three years so that he could.
-
Feel what we feel, our loss, our hurt, our pain,
-
our betrayals, the mockings in our lives are failures, our regrets.
-
Everything Jesus has gone through.
-
If whatever you felt and off have felt and will feel,
-
he has gone through simply to say to you you
-
can come, Just come, because I have taken it for you.
-
We don't understand a lot of things. A lot of
-
things happen. I don't understand. I pray that as you
-
walk with Jesus, recognize his voice that speaks to you
-
in a man right here he speaks to us.
-
So number one, recognize his voice.
-
Secondly, I suggest to you and encourage you, would you
-
continue to grow in the knowledge of the Lord. Grow
-
in that knowledge and the only way to grow Number
-
one is to have a word of God as you
-
read it. As you read and just read, you know
-
and in different.
-
Days, different verses will speak to your heart.
-
It may not you ready two years ago, but today
-
it means something to you. The knowledge of God is
-
what people. People need to know the Lord. How can
-
I know the Lord by reading what he's saying to me?
-
Reading who is Jesus? Maybe maybe I asked you, do
-
you really know the life of Jesus? Do you know him?
-
Have we really taken time to know the lot as
-
we read?
-
I want to do that and continue to know the Lord. Amen,
-
grow in your knowledge, because when the Lord speaks or
-
when the Lord comes again, because you have read and
-
you've married NATed your meditator, you will have a sense
-
in your spirit that this is the word of the
-
Lord for me, This is the word for that person.
-
God uses you to speak and it will set someone free.
-
God calls you at a time that you says, sudden,
-
you know, have you felt those times you're just meditating
-
on the Lord? And then the Lord says, Christina, call Joel.
-
Now You're like why, but you do it? And then
-
and then the Lord gives you the word to speak
-
to your son or to a friend or Yeah. Why
-
because as you grow in your knowledge, the Lord releases
-
his words and his thoughts to you. Amen, And so
-
we want to grow. Thirdly, I want to ask us
-
all to expect experience the grace of God.
-
Experience it? How can I experience it?
-
And this is how I I I interpret this for myself.
-
Like I said, my four years earlier, I knew Christ
-
because someone spoke to me. So I heard it and
-
then I encountered Christ for myself and then I entered
-
into a relationship with Sheesus. Thank you, and then I
-
experienced transformation in my life, my testimony. So the experience
-
of the grace of God is the things that you
-
and I are going through that we need the grace.
-
But sometimes I feel we might just carry on, you know, close,
-
and we Forgod that there's the grace of God to
-
carry us through. So if you would ask the Lord,
-
he would come with you in that situation. It's not
-
that he but he knows he should know what to do, right,
-
and he does know and he knows what to do.
-
Remember last week I said, God extended my what time
-
the submission timing from five pm last last Sunday to
-
eleven pm.
-
I didn't even have to ask the Lord for that.
-
He just did it for me.
-
So God does give us, you know, beautiful surprises right there.
-
But there are times when you are going through don't
-
be too shy, too scared, too proud to just speak
-
to the Lord and say, God, I just want to
-
experience your deliverance in this issue.
-
I want to experience your guidance.
-
I believe you will. You will enter into that experience
-
of the fullness of God's working his word, his direction.
-
There are just people in this room that have shared testimony.
-
Is how God is you just experience is Him guiding
-
you every step of the way and on this way
-
to do the business.
-
Okay, do this, go this, meet this person, You experience it,
-
experiencing the.
-
Grace of God in your life. Amen, see this doctor.
-
Go to that hospital. Yeah, move today, you need that
-
paper sign go to this office this time.
-
You're like, why you know? And then but then you're
-
in land and.
-
You're okay, okay, I believe it's the Lord, and you
-
do it, and then you meet the right officer and
-
then your document gets you know, stamped and approved. I
-
think we all need a little bit more of that
-
experience of this grace of God in our lives, especially
-
in the midst of your challenge and that storm that
-
you don't know what's going on.
-
Then you ask get into the experience.
-
So why because we're going to learn to recognize God's
-
leading God's boys, growing in our knowledge that he does
-
things not the same pattern every time, but he does
-
it in various amazing examples to us. Amen, So experience
-
the grace of God that way. I think you've heard
-
past the chef. You haven't for the sake of others.
-
How many many years ago and my father in law
-
had a stroke and we had to take care of
-
my father in law and that's how I ended up
-
in Quota, Kamonning twenty six years ago. How did I
-
come to Quota because of my father in law who
-
had a stroke and then we had to take care
-
of him, and we had to find the right house
-
so that he would have an en suite, toilet and
-
the robe. And we found the house that I'm staying
-
now with no money. Right we had no money to
-
pay that kind of rent. But but we couldn't personally
-
take care because I still had to work. I had
-
to work right past us to work. And then we said, okay,
-
we'll go get a helper. But you all a right
-
to get a helper. I must earn a certain amount.
-
Both of us have to have a certain amount of earnings,
-
which he has no earnings and mine was just so little,
-
all right. So but he felt that he would just
-
go fill up the papers, go. There was passes on
-
personal experience that I put. I myself was not with
-
him in that journey. I was just I just had
-
to take care of the ministry. So I had to
-
go every day do the stuff. But he had to
-
walk this journey by himself to go and sit in
-
front of the officer. And when they said, where is
-
your documents, your KWSB, your EPF, your salary that is
-
I don't have, then you can't. Then the lord says
-
sit back there. So he sits back there and then
-
a lady walks in.
-
If you heard.
-
Kick CLICKLUCKI clup cick club with a handbag, you know, hi,
-
heues kick cluck cy cluckyck club mana Orantu sana jumper
-
manatu you need to And then they're like, hey, he
-
got a meet.
-
He got me. T no, no, no no, I said
-
a bangadier.
-
I got my run.
-
And the Lord said follow her, follow her. You can
-
imagine that voice. Follow her, okay, follow and uh. The
-
lady gets something done with the main officer and then
-
the doors open. Bust just peeps in and he goes like,
-
what do you want? And he said, sir, I just
-
have these documents. I need your approval, but you should
-
do it outside.
-
But I'm here. Here's the document. And God moves.
-
This is impossible. It's impossible for us. We have no papers,
-
we have no that kind of salary. They turn the
-
pages and then he goes, hey, that's Mike Bernie. Who
-
is he?
-
It's my dad, so.
-
Oh my money, young lapper. He's got stroke ogus. So
-
how what do you need me? I said, we just
-
need your sickney. I just need a stamp so that
-
I can get a helper. The guy just stamped in.
-
Then he click, club goes to the officer.
-
Nah ganada Jacab, you need that paper. There's a bit
-
so I know. Amen.
-
Amen, you need an experience.
-
You need to come on, give God praise. Come on people,
-
we gotta have some energy, got some expectation of what
-
the Holy Spirit can do and will do. We live.
-
You're not called to live a normal life. You're called
-
to live supernatural.
-
You and I, You and I, You and I called
-
to live supernatural. And and this is what I had
-
to live for the last.
-
Four weeks, supernatural.
-
I'm like and have to write the DCS like I
-
can't do this law, you know, like why do I
-
do this? But then you have to call on the
-
law loud. Okay, Jesus, I need your help, right. We
-
need an experience, amen, we need an experience. So that's
-
how you begin to exercise that listening and that recognizing
-
of the voice of God, the direction. Why would you
-
follow antick law? You follow me? Right? But that's what
-
the Lord said, do it, and he did it. That's
-
an experience that takes experience. Never let something like not
-
enough money.
-
That door not open.
-
Sohow No, there are people here in this room waiting
-
for a door to open. And you just need that
-
one word from the Lord, that one voice of the
-
Holy Spirit saying this is the way to go, and
-
then you are assured that is the way you need
-
that I need that experience of the grace of God.
-
It's powerful church.
-
The Church is filled with the grace of God, but
-
the church refuses to engage in that grace because it
-
feels funny, it feels silly to ask for such things.
-
If pastors did not follow the lady, he would not
-
have met the officer or the boss, and it would
-
not have got me if he thought it was so
-
silly to follow the lady.
-
Right, but he did. That's childlike faith.
-
That's faith and bracing the grace that God gives to us. Amen,
-
Come on, judge, be encouraged. You know, it's really not
-
what you can see. It's what you can't see, but
-
you sense in your heart the Lord is for you.
-
He's not against you. He's for you. You trust him. And
-
then the next one is when you can't understand, then
-
what you say, His ways are higher and his thoughts
-
are higher. His ways are always higher. We cannot beat
-
his plans. His ways are higher and his thoughts are higher,
-
and we rely and then we surrender to that plan
-
of God that we couldn't understand why it happened. Amen.
-
So there's a higher way the Lord will lead you.
-
And maybe nobody else has done that pathway, but you're
-
taking it. You're saying it sounds so nobody to reference. Lave,
-
you be the reference law. God has told you this
-
way to go, you take it because his ways are higher,
-
his thoughts are higher. Maybe you've been through something, a loss,
-
a lack, a complication, something that, No, it's so tough.
-
But as you begin to surrender and you tell the
-
Lord your ways are higher than mine and your thoughts
-
are higher, Lord, you take over and allow the Holy
-
Spirit to lead you. I have to say many times
-
when we have done that, the road has been different
-
from what I expected, but it was a better road,
-
and it just opened doors that I would never have
-
seen that.
-
But the Lord knows.
-
Amen.
-
So that's my my again, my suggestion to us at Wow.
-
We can't always recognize the face because I have not
-
met Jesus, but there's this spirit of God that works
-
in us, and my experience of him brings that, you know,
-
the assurance that God is not gonna let us go. Amen.
-
And all that He's done at the cross, he did
-
not get numbing medication. He took the stripes, the whipping,
-
the crown of thorns, the crucifixion to experience our loss
-
and our pain and our shame. Remember, Jesus hung there naked, naked,
-
Our Lord was naked. He went all the way so
-
that you would come. You can trust in Jesus. You
-
can trust. That's my last point. You can trust in
-
Jesus because no other man has ever gone through what
-
he has done to die, almost humiliate death, but to
-
have walked a journey of both the good, the rejoicing,
-
but also the humiliation the losses. He did it so
-
that you and I could come that he has walked
-
in the path that we will walk.
-
And someone wrote and said the last word that he said.
-
Was I thirst.
-
I thirst.
-
First, you don't want to drink this our point, because
-
he wants to take all the pain. And then now
-
he says I But when did he say I thirst?
-
He said it and you read it in the Gospels,
-
when everything that scripture has written was done, all accomplished.
-
And then he said I. First they took the sponge
-
of sour wine, no gall no more.
-
They touched his lips.
-
You can imagine if I ask you when was the
-
last time Jesus had a drink?
-
This is Friday.
-
On Thursday they had to pass over supper, right, and
-
he said, this is the cup that I will drink
-
no other time except when you come into my kingdom,
-
when you see each other again. That was the last
-
time he had a drink. And from that time till
-
the hanging on the cross, there was no water to drink.
-
So with all that he went through, probably having fever.
-
And I don't know. Medical doctors will know better when
-
you get beaten like this and you know, woundered, you know,
-
just I think fever will be the first thing that happens,
-
because open wound, that lips are dry, throat, this dry,
-
probably not much voice. And yet he settles everything, you know,
-
like John, this is your mom, Now take care of
-
my mom. Right, And then he goes forgive them lord,
-
because they don't know what they do.
-
And then he goes, I thirst, why of all things
-
earlier wandry? Now you see you dress. I think it
-
was just human.
-
That he would thirst.
-
He was sleepy before he got angry. He was hungry.
-
He thirst.
-
So we could come, so we could come. And then
-
he breath breathes last, and he went so the Roman
-
soldiers didn't kill him, they didn't take his life. When
-
everything was done, you breathe this last, and then he went.
-
He laid his life down according to his time. So
-
all was done so you could come, All of this
-
could all was done for us so that we could
-
come a man church. So really we do have a
-
very victorious entry into heaven to serve the Lord, to
-
live for him, to live every day with these thoughts
-
in your mind, that you would recognize his voice, the
-
familiar sound of his voice to you. How you'll sound
-
to me will be different now how he sounds to you.
-
Maybe he'll call you Ariel. Maybe he'll call you a sweetheart.
-
Maybe he'll call your daughter. Maybe you'll call your son.
-
Maybe you'll call you Jai. Maybe you'll call you I
-
don't know reason he has a secret Christian name. I
-
don't know. I don't know. Maybe he'll call you and
-
you would recognize it, and then you grow in your
-
knowledge of him. You just keep you know, how do
-
we read biographies, don't we? And we get to know
-
about this person right, and oh he did this, and
-
he did that. Oh that's what he liked to do.
-
And that's how we know the stories of men of
-
old have conquered and done great things. We read about them.
-
Now we have the Bible, read about Jesus, about our
-
father heavenly Father, we read. Amen, So we grow in
-
our knowledge. We experience the grace of God. As you
-
experience him, know that his ways are higher, his thoughts
-
are higher than your thoughts. And you can't trust him
-
because He's done everything. So you would come, you could come, Amen, Amen,
-
Church to this morning, may you establish this thoughts, this
-
thoughts for your own walking Christ as we remember the
-
finished work at the cross. So remember today the tomb
-
that was, the tomb that is empty. Amen. Nobody's dead,
-
their body lie nothing there. And if you're still looking
-
for Jesus, there's there.
-
No, He's risen. Amen, He's risen. Hallelujah.
-
And your faith is established upon the rock Jesus Christ.
-
He anchors you. And there is so much hope, so
-
much hope for us to live every day. Friends, as
-
a church, as we speak to one another, we are
-
living in very difficult times, very very trying times, and
-
maybe it'll get worse. But don't just get caught up
-
with what the news is. Get caught up with that
-
voice that is going to come you and speak with
-
you about the needs that you have. That the Lord
-
would speak to you and direct you. Some of you
-
will get you know, even ways of what to do
-
and how to do it and how to you know,
-
I don't know, jugger your wealth or whatever. I don't know,
-
take care of this or the But I want to say,
-
we want to be anchored in our faith in Christ,
-
in a faith that no other has been able to
-
confirm and say to us, he is risen and he
-
has gone through all things for us so that we
-
might have life and life more abundantly. Amen. And we
-
do not have to fear what the news brings each day.
-
It will trouble us, that's normal, but may fear not
-
grip your heart and say that's grip you, grit your
-
how my children's education are you how? We have to
-
just say, Lord, I don't know how, but you know.
-
And we will have to trust God in these last
-
last days. We're not yet really at there, but it's
-
getting there. So whatever that's gonna sway your faith today
-
is still the day of grace for us to learn
-
to recognize.
-
His voice, as I repeat myself, to grow in.
-
Your knowledge of the Lord. Come on, don't let the
-
Bible carry us. You opened the Bible daily, don't make
-
it like your library. Take it, flip it, open, realy
-
it to know him. Don't say I was too hard.
-
Please don't go and read the old King James version.
-
I also don't understand find a CEV or find a
-
new living translation read just know him. Experience the grace,
-
ask the Lord of just bring you through an experience
-
so that you know and you can testify the people
-
in this room who experienced God's provision. You didn't know
-
what was happening, how it was going to take place,
-
but the Lord opened away for you and you are
-
experiencing his higher ways, his higher thoughts. I just want
-
to say, you can trust Jesus over and over again.
-
He can trust in Jesus. Amen, Hallelujah, Thank you, Thank you, Jesus,
-
Come Holy Spirit, and just fill our hearts with that
-
assurance that are you away us. Amen. We hope you've
-
been blessed by this message. For more information on our church,
