The Cross still calls, the Blood still heals, the empty tomb still restores | Pr Yvonne Chong

You're listening to a message to go from at church.

We hope this message will light up your.

Day to today. You know, I like to you know,

call this message. You know, the cross still cause us.

You know, some of us may feel like, you know,

we have same pictures of the cross. Sometimes you know,

for us it might just be a symbol that is

tied into Christianity, or you know, it might see pictures

of a cross, may of some wood.

And really old would uh.

But I just want to let you know that the

cross is still relevant.

It's still calling out to us.

The blood that was shed on the cross still heales,

all right, and the empty tomb that Jesus was buried.

Still reds stores all right. And you can see here,

you know, in.

The eyes of men, the cross may just be just

a plass sign. Or you know, in the older days

it's actually you know, back those times, made out of

wood and they reuse it, uh to us as human

as you know, blood, you know what can they actually do?

Or an empty tomb or you know modern days, you

know we call it the anti grave, empty cemetery.

You know, what does it have to do with me?

But today you know the reason why believer us are

gathered here because the cross.

Still calls out to us, is still relevant.

The blood that was shed on the cross two thousand

years ago still heals us, all right. And the blood

comes from Jesus because he was bitten, his body was crash.

He was not just wounded, but he was I don't know,

really disfigured. And and you know, blood shed for you

and I, uh, and the tomb, you know, the dead

body that was buried in there wasn't there anymore on

the third day, and and and because of the empty tomb.

You know, it's a very symbolic thing.

We have a restored life, okay, and we will have

a hope and a future.

Okay.

So today you know, as believe us here you know,

for our new friends, uh and those of us.

You know, it's a very good reminder.

That we get We are gathered here today, not because

of you know, a religion, not because of tradition as well,

but we don't gether as well. You know, on at

least once a year, on a Friday, or you're feeling sad,

you know, Jesus darting across he was betrayed, he was disfigured.

We didn't gether, just to remember that we don't gather

as well three days later, this coming Sunday. Uh. You know,

some people call it the Easter Sunday. Some of us

we call it the Resurrection Sunday as well. We don't

get it because, oh yay, we are happy that Jesus

is alive. It's not just that. But we gather even

as a church today. I just remind us as well

that we are gathering around the greatest history of all time. Right, Uh, man,

cannot call you a good geot my greatest victory in

you know, human history, all right? And what is the

greatest victory? That Jesus Christ, whom we follow after, whom

we worship, was crucified, He was buried and he rose again.

And man, that is the greatest victory of human history.

I'm not sure sure how many of you have heard

before of anyone that you know was crucified, He was killed,

was buried and resurrected. You know, if you've heard of

that before, come and tell me. I would like to

get to know the person as well. But you know,

for us Christians, you know, this is what Jesus and

the God that we worship, the God that we follow

after has done for us, all right. And because of that,

and because of what Christ has done a cross, sin

can be broken, the chains and the consequences, the bondage

of sin can be broken. And because of that, you know, shame,

know some of us have gone through shame. Uh, it

can be removed. You know. Some of us quite been

wounded badly, not just physically, you know, in our hearts

and our emotions, our minds and our thoughts.

You know, we have been wounded badly.

But because of what Jesus has done across for us,

we can be healed.

Amen.

You know. There's no amount of science that can help

us with that, but Jesus can. Amen. And because of

that as well, those you know who are the prodigals

who have chosen, you know, to leave, God welcomes you home,

all right, those of you who have walked far away

from the Lord, God welcomes you home as well. And

broken people, you know, this world that we live in

is a broken world. Uh. And all of us, you know,

somehow you know, have been broken before or we are

still going through the process of brokenness.

You know.

Know that in Jesus and because of what He has

done across for you there is restoration of that brokenness,

all right. And they thinks, okay, some of us, you know,

I felt that, you know, as I go through it

and also declaring and not every area that is that

has been date you feel like, okay, there's no, there's no.

I don't see the end of the tunnel, you know,

I don't see a breakthrough that know that in Jesus

things can be alive again. The different areas in your life,

in your life can come alive all right again.

Okay, so and and I need.

Us also here as all you know, for Christians and

speaking to the believers here, you know, the Cross it's

not just something for us to decorate ourselves with, to

wear on and walk around tattoo on earth.

Uh, just tattooed.

It's not just a symbol for us and my allow

people to know like, oh he is a Christian, she

is a Christian. But what the Cross means is actually

an invitation to all of us to surrender of ourselves

to Him and and and.

The empty to me.

No I talk about the empty grave or the empty

cemetery that we use these days. It's not just a

proof that Jesus is alive, you know, a miracle happened,

that resurrection happened, but it is actually an invitation for

us to experience the same power that rose Jesus from

the grave, to experience that same power working in our

lives as well.

And for us.

Believers, you know, we believe that that power can when

we accept it and we decide to follow God, that

power can work in us and through us.

All Right.

You know today, I don't know, remind us as well

that Good Friday still has his power. Uh, and Resurrection

Sunday still has his power. The blow Jesus still works,

all right.

Uh.

And Jesus is still in the business of saving. Right,

you know the counts they have. I'm not sure it's

my first start hearing. Okay, they're into a business of something,

but Jesus, Jesus's business is to save. Jesus' business is

to heal, and his business is so is to restore

each and every one of us. All Right, You felt like, Okay,

everything is broken for me, there's no future and there's

no hope. Byron, encourage you because of what Jesus has

done across there is still a future and a hope

for each and everyone of you here all right. So

three things that three hours, three hours that are to

introduced to you guys today. The first hour is repentance

at the cross, which I will go through in details later.

The second hour is radmer deal okay, in bracket healing

I want hours are but yeah, so that's why the

word radber deal it actually means healing to the blood.

And the third hour is restored ration by resurrection power.

And I pray and hope before the message ends today, Uh,

that all of us believe us here and those of

you who are just discovering this faith as all that

you know, we will stop you know, being half hearted,

h uh, or believe us here, Okay, guys Christians that

will stop playing games, stop playing high and seek with

the Lord, stop doing a six seven is him? But

come back, all right, come back, come back all the

way to Jesus. All right, come back, guys, come back

all right, all right? And and you know what they

got When God created the earth? What did he do

in the seven day? Yeah? He rested and and and

and and maybe find that rest, that perfect rest in him. Uh,

there's no need of any struggles.

Uh.

And he saw that his creation, and he said this

is good you know what I've created.

We have created it is good, all right.

So the first point, the first hour they're going to

bring us through, is from X chapter three, verse nineteen.

And let's turn to that, all right. I know I

have you on the slightest.

Well, if you have a Bible, you know, let's have

the habit of turning to it, and we shall read

it together as well in my country. Okay, if you're there,

you can say yes, all right, X chapter three, verse nineteen. Okay,

let's read it loud and clear, ready, one two entry.

Thatfore I've been converted, that your seeds may be blotted out,

so that times of refreshing may come from the presence

of the Lord a man. All right. Repentance, you know

I talk about you know, in Christ, there is a

future and a hope, but it starts from a place

of repentance, all right, because there is almost closer impossible

for a resurrection of life to happen when there is

no repentance, all right. Uh. And there can not be

a restoration that can take place when we don't choose

to turn away from what is drawing us away from God, uh,

you know, drawing life out of us to turn away

from that and turn to the life giver you all.

And and there can be no refreshing, you know when

there is no surrendering. Uh it all who was it

just now that talked about destimates, talk about there was

a struggle. Uh.

And sometimes you know that's just me. It's all about me.

But you know, when we start choose to choose to

surrender to the Lord, to choose to surrender what to

what God has in stopped for us and what he

wants to do in as our life, that's where, right,

a restoration starts taking place, all right. And we know

you know human beings okay, oh us here our human beings.

We are all creatures of comfort, all right. And and

the and that is a huge problem. Sometimes you're too comfortable, uh,

to a place that you know, like we are not

just convicted about anything. Uh. And you know there's this

We're just like, hey, okay, Sarah, Sarah, whatever will be

will be? The future is not ours to see. Then

it's start singing a song. Does it sound familiar to you?

Guys?

Okay, I need to find a new but you know

we are comfortable. We want comfort, definitely, it is okay, Uh.

And a lot of times we want God's blessings. We

are bless us law blessed us a lot, but you

know we are not ready if God wants to do

in the world in us, wants to work through the brokenness, like, oh, God,

don't touch that. It's painful. God, there's an open wound.

Can younot just pour more sort on it?

God, don't touch. Just bless me, can sorry, malicious?

Just bless me? And it's enough, all right? And and

you know we want God's resurrection power. You know, God,

you all business is there. You know the papers are

not coming through. Lord resurrected right now. But there are

a lot of times we are not ready to allow

ourselves to be crucified to let to take up the cross.

That's what we need. She to her testimony so herself,

you know, just okay, God, I cannot do it my

way now. And and surrendering to that, that's what you know,

taking out the cross means, That's what crucifying to our

flash means. And then letting you know the Savior starts

working in and through our life. Okay, I'm gonna share

a story of what God has done even in in

my flat family really soon but I thought, you know,

I should, you know, teach us as well on this

and so that we can even understand Jesus better as well. Okay,

So the word repentance from the Greek words meta noah.

The word matter actually means change, all right, nous is mine?

All right. It actually means there is a change of

mind that results in a change of direction, all right.

Repentance it's not just crying, right, you're like I've done,

like I've done the greatest scene of all time. You know,

it's not just that, you know, it's not just uh

an emotional feeling, all right, Repenting, it's not just saying,

you know, God, I am sorry, Lord, I am sorry.

And then after you say sorry, then you return to

what you're doing, you know, returning to darkness. But you know,

repentance it is when based on this Greek word. Right.

The Bible was originally written in three languages, right, Greek, Hebrew,

and Arabic. Okay, so sometimes English may not be able

to fully.

Capture the meaning of it. So that so I, you know,

we're going to greet.

So metanoia actually means repentance means that our minds change

and our hearts break and direction turns all right to

the God and then you know that's where our life

alignment in God starts happening.

All right.

So that's what the Greek word means and Hebrew and

so it's actually not too far the word it actually

means to turn back asself and to return all right.

And this is actually really really power for you know,

science or you know, psychology itself maybe can help, you know,

help change bad behavior to good. Uh and and uh,

that's this is what they call, uh, the reframing of

your your thought processes. That therapist to do that. But

it is also very very temporal. But what is permanent

is when we allow the power God to come into

our life. And that happens when we choose to turn

away God. It is enough of me trying on my own.

Now I need you, God is enough, you know, living

in this scene, I need you now, you know. Uh,

you know Father, you know God, I have been far

away from you.

It is enough. I'm tired. I want to come back

to you.

You know.

That's what the prodigal son did, right. Uh.

You know, for those of us you can read the

world got again. But what the prodigal son did was

he thought like, Okay, you know, since my daddy is rich,

the Bible accounts of that that that story, I shall

ask my daddy for all my inheritance, right uh. And

then what he did was.

He went the party.

He partied all the money away. Uh. And and and

sometimes it all that's what we do for God as so,

like God, thank you for giving me breath. You know,

none of us can create breath. There's no AI that

can actually help your breathe. It can maybe teach you

steps on how to breathe, but breath comes to life

as well. And that's no one can actually give you

a life except God, all right, our creator. And and

sometimes we like the prodigal son, you know, like Okay,

I just want to live on my own.

I want to do things on my own.

Uh. And you know.

I just want to walk away from you, turn away

from you.

But repent means, you know, God, I am sorry that

I decided to take life on my own, and I

have suffering the consequences. Now you know, life is empty

and life is meaningless. Although I have all the money

in the world, although I have all the friends in

the world, perhaps you know, although I have all the

final world, but somehow, deep down in my heart, there's

a certain void. You know, some of us may be

feeling that, some of you may be feeling that, but

that void actually is calling out to say, like, hey,

you have tried that way, why not try Jesus?

Okay.

So that is what the Word of God says, less

than to Isaiah Isaiah chapter fifty three, verse six. If

your dare say yes, all right, let's read it together

loud and clear. Really one two entry. All we like

sheep have gone astray. We have turned everyone to his

own way, and the Lord has laid on him the

equity of us.

All that is sin.

If you read here this verse itself, it actually encapsulated scene. Okay,

see it is just not an't know, some of us

may say, see drinking, okay, seeing it's not just drinking.

It's not lying. No, it's not just lying. It's not

just last, it's not just cheating. It's not just cursing.

It's just not murthering. Those are the fruits of sin.

But the root of sin you read here in a

word word of God, right, it says seen itself is

saying that God, I ain't the way in my way,

not your way.

Uh, that's a song.

As for that.

For me, yeah ah good, you.

Know, yeah right. I did it my way, my will God,

over your will. Okay, that is sin, God, my desires

needs to be fulfilled over God's holiness. That is sin,

and repentance is actually turning away from that, turning away

from saying God, I want.

To do it my way.

This is my will and my desire. I've earned this.

I have the right to do it. I have the

right to keep it. You know, I've earned the money

I've earned. I don't know time. God is my right.

But if we are honest to ourselves, right, the more

we say that God, this is my way, this is

my desires, this is my will, we will slowly notice

ourselves drifting away from God, and we drift away to

a behavior and attitude that is becoming more and more

self centered.

Me right, uh and and.

And we can also drift to a secret place, secret

big dark hole that we could actually spiral into. Uh

and and suddenly one day you realize, like, oh wow,

how did I get here? You know, the whole of

I don't know success, you know it is it's not wrong,

it is not wrong, or you know, the dark hole

of all addictions right, and addictions is not just in

a form of substance abuse. Right, can be can be

addited to a lot a lot of different things. Doom

scrolling is addiction.

I don't know.

Social media, h you just can't get you just can't

be still, and you become very fig you know. That's

one God challenged me to fast, you know, to stay

away from doing scorely for six months. I think I

share this before some time back. And every time I

have the urge to just take out my phone and

at any point anywhere to score, I have to read

the World of God. And we did that six months,

actually finished reading the Bible from cover to cover, and

you know that it actually do waste a lot of

time and it is a black hole we shouldn't get into,

right gaming, I don't know. So there's a lot a

lot of things that we drift into and then drive

away from the Lord. Okay, and that's a danger for

us Christians as well. As I was preparing, God was

reminding as well. Sometimes sometimes okay, we can still be

very near church. Sometimes you still come on Sundays and

you know, we still worship God and we are still

there from home for home you know, our small groups,

our cell groups, uh whatever we called prayer service.

You know you're still there.

And know when you know your homies are hanging out

and stuff like that, we can still be there. But

then we can actually be very very far away from

God and Christians we will know it, we will know it.

And sometimes you can still get all the Christian dragons,

your hallelujahs, your in man praise the lords right in

place at the right timing, uh, in church on Sunday,

we can get all those in place. But sometimes, uh,

you know, down if we check our lives, we still

have lives in our areas in our life that is unrepented,

you know. Uh. And and that's the area like in

our life that God actually wants. Okay, on this Good Friday,

I really really hope that we are reminded that you know,

the blood that Jesus shed for us, it is actually

not cheap, all right. Uh. The freedom that He gave

to us because of what He has done across did

not come without a price.

It's not cheap.

It cost him, all right, the forgiveness that we experienced

because Christ has forgiven us right, God has forgiven us

of our sin it's actually not cheap as well. Someone

had to die in our place. Someone has to take it.

And because the word of God, right, the Bible says

that the consequences of our actions, of our rebellion across

our sin is actually eternal death. And someone has to

take that place to redeemers from it. And Jesus has

done that, has a sorry. It's the greatest victory of

all time, all right, And and Jesus has done it

all for us. And but it cost him his life.

He cost him his I don't know, dignity, right, he

was steep bare, he was this figure, uh or he

was parade down, paraded down the road as well. Different

ones just mocked him, those who wants, you know, calling

out a savior as him to for healing. Uh now,

they mocked him, you know. Now they crucify him even

with their words and actions as well. But you know,

he still died for them. That comes with a very

very heavy price, and it comes with a heavy you know,

indication or you know, just a message to let us

know that God loves us.

All right. That is the greatest victory of all time.

Someone that loves us enough to lay down his life

for us. Even without knowing us, no one here, no one, none.

Of us here, even myself.

I think I will not be ready to just die

for some stranger, even if you asked me to donate

one part of my organ to the person that I

don't know. Am I just think a hundred times. If

I'm still a life lock, you know, and we know

of organ donuts, that's a different story. But just giving

a little of myself, so I have to think, what

more Jesus and dying taking the place of those who

have betrayed him, who have provoked him as well. All right,

let's look at Luke, chapter twenty two, the Life of Peter. Okay,

So Peter was one of the disciples of Jesus. He

was there and Jesus was around, and he had very

very close encounter with Jesus.

But what happened?

You know? We look at verse Luke twenty two, verse

sixty one to sixty two.

It says, here, if you're there, we can really together.

Okay, in one, two and three, and the lock turn

and look at Peter. Than Peter remembered the word of

the Lord, how he had seen him before the rooster curls,

you would deny me three times. So Peter went out

and read bitterly. Hmm, what does this tell you?

Right?

Just one look, just one look from Jesus, and it

has caused you know, Peter to go out and he read.

He didn't just cry, he read bitterly. I think it

was really really an awful sight. And if you look

at this story, right, that one look from Jesus, right,

they didn't just say here, right, Jesus looked at him,

And it wasn't a look I'm pretty pretty sure it

is not a look that like, ha, now you have

denied me, you are done, You're finishing off.

I'm done with you. I shall disown you.

It wasn't that look as it wasn't also a look

that you know that Jesus was disgusted by his betrayal,

but you know it was a look that actually appears

to Peter's heart and it actually exposes the intention of

his heart. Right, Uh, And just that one look and

and you don't repentance? Is that, you know, allowing Jesus

you know, to act ray, to examine the m ur

hearts and Lord expose uh, this part of my heart,

so that it all God, because I want to change,

because God I want to turn over because God, it'll

come and work.

I shall not. I shall stop.

Okay. Sometimes right, we may feel the different things that

we go through. It's because of other people's problem, right,

and start blaming or is this person problem that person problem.

I can't go to school on time because of my

dog and my my my you know, assignment. My golf

is decided to drown his own ball the goal those

cbr I don't know. It's always someone else's problem, and

we always blame on others because we try to defend ourselves.

But when God really looks true into the intention of

the heart, that's a like, okay, God, you will and

I surrender and I repent. If you cry bitterly and ugly,

it's okay. It comes see that as well, and true

that repentance. Then you know, you'll bring you to a

place and saying, and God, I need your grace and mercy.

I can't do life and do things on my own,

all right. Second Corinthians, chapter seven, verse ten. Right, it

says he for godly sorrow, all right, Peter had a

godly sorrow. He wrapped ugly but godless sorrow. The word

God says produces repentance that leads to salvation and does

not does not lead to regret, you know, right, But

the sorrow of the world, you know the verses. But

the sorrow of the world produces death. Okay, So what

does it like? What does it look like? You know,

the world may tell you. Okay, you know, ha, I

know what you did last summer. And it starts humilating you.

You know, it starts bringing you out and putting you

on media. Uh, it starts exposing all your scenes in

the past, and that will come and you know, give

you suggestions some of you might have gone through that. Alla,

I think it's better for you to hide. The devil says,

you know, delay, delay your surrender. Don't tell anyone what

you have done last summer. No, it's okay. You just

put on yourself first, figure yourself first. No, you know,

just keep pretending it's okay. You know, you can just

sweep it under the coppet. H So you're seeing under

the cuppod you know, sweep it under the coppo It

is all fine.

But how does God deal with it?

You know? That is what the world does it h

And recently, yeah, recent you know, I had an opportunity

to just uh just just speak to a friend. Uh.

And and you know the or the friend actually stumbled okay,

uh did things that you know Christians shouldn't do. Uh.

And and the first thing, you know, this friend actually

went to sick counsel from his uh other friends Okay,

two friends who are not believers. So the first friend

guess what told him? Is like, Ah, it's okay. I

think it's better for you not to tell anyone what's

going on.

Then you'll be safe. Yeah. You can save your face

water ah.

Ah, save your dignity, save your price, save your ego.

You know, don't tell anyone, uh, first friend. Second friends

say like, maybe you tell, but you wait first, I

see how things go. Wait wait wait, if there's no storm,

then maybe you don't tell. But if you feel like telling,

you can tell, all right? Uh what ever, you know,

get tell a family, or you can tell the people

around you what you have done. Uh. Do you think

that it's vice counsel? You know? Sometimes our friends mean good, right,

those advisors are actually well technically not entirely wrong, uh

in the eyes of the world, but for church, right,

you know, that's something that what we do here. Uh.

In acts is.

We are really big on discipleship because it allows uh,

you know, if you are genuinely enough, you're not allowing

what you did last summer to come into light, so

that repentance can start taking place.

And through the process of discipleship, healing.

Starts happening, all right, remedy starts happening, all right. So today, Uh,

I don't know if anyone of us here just going

through different things in our life. You may not share

uh plainly with any one, but I actually wrote down

a few a few things here, not to condemn, but

I feel God wants to touch these different areas so

that stealing can happen, rama, deal can happen, and the

restoration can happen as well. Right. So it could involve

sexual scenes, It could involve bitterness, It could involve pride, gossips,

secret addiction, It could involve unforgiveness, Uh, spiritual laziness as

all that God wants to touch hippoctesy for for us.

You know, all Christians can be sometimes coldness towards the Lord.

It all got once.

To take all that away from us, uh, and and

he wants the cleanness of that because it is slowly

killing the different ones of you. Uh, it is slowly

killing your soul as a person. You know, all right,

a human being consists of that, so as a spirit,

soul and body. All right, it's still killing you as

a person, as your soul, in your soul. So today,

you know, to good Friday itself. You know, God is

calling us back, come back. Let me look at the cross.

I hope from today onwards to reminded that God is

calling us back, not just coming back to him, but

to come clean before him, Come broken as you are.

You know, we don't have to be perfect. You know,

I wasn't a Christian a long long time ago. I

was there a Christian before nineteen ninety six, and I

always thought like, okay, you know this, Jesus wants me

to be perfect first before I can worship him, before

I can follow him. Now we can come to him

in our brokenness. Uh, it is okay. Wherever stage you

are at, it is okay. Just come because the blood

of Jesus is powerful and strong enough to wash away

every stain that the Sein has left on you. All right,

it is okay, come back, come back to Jesus. I actually,

oh man, this I need to end soon. But I

actually wrote down some steps on what you can do

uh to repent? Repent all right, Maybe I'll just give

you some handles, uh, even as I started on this

for a while. So for four points, okay, how we

can actually what can we do uh to repent?

All right?

So the first one is to identify identify areas in

our life that we have compromised. There is a compromise,

all right for those who are all see the engineers here,

you know, and structure, the structure has been come from minds.

What do you do? You try to fix it? But

sometimes and most times, right if it's a major compromise,

I think you just bring the whole thing down and

rebuild it. I don't know. I'm not a civil engineer,

but sometimes fixing won't help. You Try to put all

your duct tap on the plane. The plane show definitely

can still flow on. Uh, you know you have to

go to a major rehall. Uh, you know, identify the

area of compromise. Do not just call it a struggle.

I'm struggling with pornography. Don't call it just a struggle.

If God calls it a sin, right, I'm struggling with unforgiveness.

I really really hate this friend. I've been gossiping about

her twenty four to seven, hate her, and you know

sometimes it's causing me to want to end her as well. Yeah, right,

hate can can can lead that, right, So don't just

call it a struggle. If God causes a scene, name

it before the Lord, all right, identify it. Second to confess, okay,

confess specifically what you are struggling with. Confess specific before

the Lord what you're repenting from. All right. Then the

third one is to cut off what feeds the scene.

All right, all right, repentance. It's just not tears, it

is turning away.

Okay. If pornography is.

A problem and install I don't all website, deleted the

website and it's just I don't know, try to forget

all the passwords or get your friend to change the

password for you, and then you will already uh delete

the app. And and you know, whatever it takes, whatever

it takes, if you want to go back to just paper,

no more technology, I think it's still possible, uh these days.

And it's you know, cut off, cut off, all right,

cut it off anything, okay, we all know, right, cancer

is daily. If we continue to let it grow, right,

it might discover okay, cancer stage two. Okay, just leave

it there, and I'm sure you've heard stories of different

cancer cell feeds, and then in the end it actually

takes the life of the person. So it's better when

you when you see an oncologist, right, a lot of

times they will recommend remove, right, remove, then go through

different radio therapists and therapists to destroy it. All right,

remove what feeds the scene. Fourth, return to intimacy. How

can you do that?

All right?

Return to prayer, return to the world of God, return

to obedience, and return to a heart that is tender

before the Lord. All right, And I'm going to scheme

through the next two points really fast so that you

have a a little.

Okay. So repentance is not just the end of the story, right,

there's not a three hours. Repentance is the door, right

I called the doorway to mercy. And once repentance opens

our hearts and our hearts are open, healing can start

taking place. Okay, remedy can start healing, remedy can start happening. Okay.

That's from Isaiah chapter fifty three, verse five. It says, yeah,

but he who I think she cannot read that just now.

But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was built,

bruised for iniquities. The chastisement for our peace was upon him.

And by his stripes we are healed.

Amen. God promises us that.

And in First Bitter two twenty four as well, it says,

who himself bought us? Since in his own body, on

the tree which is the cross, we having died the

sins might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed? Okay, healing,

it is promised already. When repentance happens, when the heart opens,

healing starts taking place.

All right.

The word in Hebrew says means healing in Hebrew is

rapha uh. And you know the meaning of rapha is

to heal, to restore to men, and to make whole.

The great word is actually.

Soul, so it means to save, to rescue, and to

make who. Wow. All right, When God says I will

heal you, it's not just heal you of your oh

I felt and I heal, and I felt and I

got bruised. It's just not that, but it's to restore

to men what was broken. All right. Men can break men,

as in human beings can break us. Uh. And sometimes

we allows us to be remain broken forever and ever

and ever until eternity.

Uh.

And then you know, we allows us to remain in

that pits in that valley, and you know, like worms

eat us up or you start eating worms asat, not mind,

we choose to remain there. But when we come to Jesus,

he said that I'm going to restore you. I am

your Jehovah ralpha ayah Ralpha. I will heal you our men, you,

and I will make you hold again all right, wholeness

all right in Jesus. That is the victory, the greatest

victory of all time. Uh. He promised wholeness uh. And

it promised us every wound would be make whold. He

promises us a rescue, He promises us a salvation, all right.

So last the last hour? Okay, what is the last

r all right? So really thank God that if we

don't just remain healed, Jesus did not only die to

forgive us he did not suffer to just heal us.

He rose again on the third day, so that we

may be restored. All right, we may be rest Matthew,

Chapter twenty eight, verse six. He says, it says you

in the word of God. It is not here for

his reason, as he said, come see the place where

the Lord lay right on Resurrection Sunday Easter Sunday is

not just about the rabbits and the eggs. It is

about Jesus leaving the tomb empty. Death has been dispeated.

He didn't live the tomb, you know, with assistance. No

one helped carry him out, No one rolle the stone away,

no one giving any drugs to resucceedate him. No, he

rose by the power that God was working in and

through his life.

All right.

Jesus defeated, the enemy, was conquered, and he lives forever more.

All right. So I will end with this, and I'm

gonna invite Extrame up on stage, and I'm gonna admit this.

You know, God and Jesus is.

Into the business or restoration as well, okay, And some

of us they also have lost that uh, the area

of love, the area of care, uh, the area of

perhaps an abandonment. Uh. That was the word that came

in or the area of purpose. You know, you just

don't see a purpose and wherever you're at now or

whatever you're doing, but Jesus is saying, you know that

he wants to restore that. Uh. You have experienced love once,

uh and it felt good. But maybe the persons closest

to you have there isn't a word you know, strong

enough to describe uh that that has you know, cause

that love just to be broken, that tries to be broken.

Uh.

Someone whom you really really look look up to, you know,

just feeled you so miserably and and it felt like, okay,

there is there isn't There isn't any any more that

I could have. But you know the amazing thing about this,

you know I I talk about the greatest victory of

all time, Uh is in what Jesus has done across

for each and everyone of us.

Yeah, and I just.

Want to give us this opportunity to be able to

respond to the lot today.

All right.

You know I started as that's three hours first and

all is to repent, you know, saying God, I want

from today onwards. You know, it is a good Friday

and it's a good Friday to start with from turning

whatever struggles and dump and I don't know whatever worms

that we've always been eating or allowing the worms to

just eat us up. And we have been just so numb,

so so numb in your your emotions and you're just

going through the daily emotion uh and daily emotions of

life and everything is just a routine. But you know,

in Jesus, I just wonder, let you know there is

a future and there is a hope because he loves you.

If nobody else arounds you, you feel that you are loved.

I just want to let you know that he loves you,

and he loves you enough to heal you, because that's

what he did for me and for my family as well.

You know, before we will believer us. You know, family

was really not really but almost broken. And you know,

sometimes I try to use a lesser impact, but actually,

you know, if I look back at it right now, broken,

especially you know marriage.

My parents they didn't.

Know Jesus, but Jesus was introduced to them. And I

remember it was a Friday that my dad was invited

to a Christian gathering similar like this, but a good

Friday and at that point he experienced the love of Jesus.

It touched him and he came back and he told

my mom, tomorrow, we're gonna go drive around in Penang

and your housing and state, and we are going to

find a church and we're gonna ask more about what

and who this Jesus is. Uh So, the next day,

on a Saturday, you know, he packed us up in

the car and we went driving around and with some

of this church. Uh And and then you know, on

that day itself, my parents decided to give their life

to Christ. And because of that, you know, I am

able to stand here today, and because of that, I

could meet my Sunday school teacher. And because of that,

you know, I can just look back and say, God,

you have been so so good. And definitely it took

a few years, you know, for them to continue to

work things out, but because of Jesus, now they have

that supernatural help and the extra help. And because of

Jesus there is a permanent healing and it's a permanent

restoration of the relationship. And because of that, as well

as children, we benefited from it.
