The Empty Tomb | Pr. Stephen Kong

We hope this message will light up your tea. And

today we celebrate the empty tomb a man, we celebrate

empty tomb, and there is victory. Now, before I go

on to my message, I just wanted to show you

a clip a video, and actually will stand by for

the video. You know, I bummed upon this video and

maybe some of you have seen it before. You have

heard of this poem before, but I was very touched

by it and it's I think it's called the Reversal poem.

And so I'm gonna play.

The clip is streaming, It's long, and I just encourage

you to watch it. And this is really what you

and I actually went through. You know what our life

is like. And I'm gonna that region. Run the clip, Okay,

pix the eyes on the screen.

All hope is lost, and it is no longer true

that I will live in peace and harmony with my God.

It is almost beyond imagining. The perfect days of walking

with Him in paradise are over, and now I am

destined for days of separation and longing for my true home.

My sin is beyond God's grace to forgive. I have

come to realize that it is foolish to believe that

God could accept me after all that I had done.

How can it be to think that all my prayers

went unheard? How foolish it was to believe that He

loves me. There is nothing left to do but declare

that I am lost without hope and future, and I

can no longer believe that I will be restored. When

sin came, it brought death. But Jesus Christ, the Son

of God, died in our place, and it brought life.

He rose again, and everything turned upside down. I will

be restored, and I can no longer believe that I

am lost without hope in future. There is nothing left

to do but declare that He loves me. How foolish

it was to believe that all my prayers went unhurt.

How can it be to think that God could accept

me after all that.

I have done.

I have come to realize that it is foolish to

believe that my sin is beyond God's grace to forget.

Days of separation and longing for my true home are over,

and now I am destined for perfect days of walking

with Him in paradise. It is almost beyond imagining, but

I will live in King's in harmony with my own.

See, there's no longer tree a spot. Amen.

Amen, Amen, you know, I pray that video really touch you,

because first I watched it, I kid, you know. And

that is really what God has done for us. He

has turned our life upside down. And because Christ died

on the cross, he was buried, and he rose again,

there is hope.

Amen, there is hope.

Somebody say amen, because Jesus is alive, and we celebrate

the reason King. We celebrate the reason King, you know.

And maybe some of you'll see that here this morning.

You could be new to church, maybe you came to

Good Friday, and maybe you still don't understand what I've

been talking about about Jesus's reason, and maybe you're asking

the question of why did he even have to die?

You know.

So I'm just going to bring us back all the

way to the creation of mankind and help us, you know,

for the benefit of those who are new. And maybe

this is the very first time you're ever hearing this story.

I pray that you will have a better understanding and

a glimpse. So bury me for five minutes, okay, And

so God created the heavens and the earth, and so

everything that you see the universe, the earth, God created it,

you know. And we didn't appear out of big bank theory.

We didn't appear out of out of apes. But God

created it all. And so in the beginning God created,

and God said, let us make man in our image,

in our likeness. And so God created male and female.

A Bible says male and female created them. And in

a book of Genesis, God also planted a garden.

You can go read there.

So God is actually likened like a it's likened to

be a gardener, because he actually says he planted a garden,

you know. And in the garden he plays man and

women women okay, which is actually Adam and Eve, and

he plays them in the garden. And he told this

man and woman, Adam, if of all the trees in

the garden, you may freely eat, okay, except the tree

of the knowledge of good and evil. Actually the slices

can go is part of it, okay. He said, all

the trees you can eat freely, you may eat accept

of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

And so there was a serpent or actually use the

wordever who came and tempted man and woman and deceive

them to eat the fruit of the knowledge of good

and evil. But God said, if you eat this fruit,

you shall surely die because you're not supposed to eat it.

And cut a long story short, they ate the fruit,

and basically they disobeyed God's command or his voice. And

that's where sin entered the world, and sin entered into humanity.

So the Bible says in Roman chapter three, verse twenty three,

for all have seen and false shot of the glory

of God. So the Bible says everyone, all have seen.

And the reason for that is because there is a

sinful nature in us.

Look at a child.

You never need to teach them to lie, you never

need to teach them to steal, because.

The nature of sin is in them.

So the Bible says, all have seen and false shot

of the glory of God Romans tree twenty three. And

because of that, Roman sixth twenty three says, for the

wages of sin.

Is death.

So there was a punishment, there was a consequence, and

that consequence is death because there was a separation between

us and God, and sin was that separation. And he

continues to say, but the gift of God is eternal

life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Praise be to God.

That's what it says. And so that's why for our scenes.

Because God is both just, he's holy, and yet he

is merciful and loving, he had to pay for the

penalty of our sins by nailing his son Jesus on

the cross. And only Jesus could do it because he

was the perfect sacrifice.

Jesus was without sin.

He was the perfect sacrifice to pay for the penalty

of the scenes that all of us have made.

And if you're.

Wondering what sin is, sin is basically some things that

we do that wrong. Now, if you're a Bible scholar,

he will say that is insufficient. Yes, I agree, okay,

because sin is actually missing the mark. But for the

sake of this sin is just doing things that are wrong, okay.

And so whatever sin they we have done, Jesus has

paid it on the cross.

And when he died, he was buried and he rose again.

And so John three sixteen tells us that for God

so love the world that he gave his only begoden son,

that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have

everlasting life. And he goes on and say, for God

did not send his son into the world to condemn

the world, but that the world show him might be saved.

And so he was the love of God.

I always say, this is the love of God to

the Father and to you and me that nailed him

to the cross. And so he was nailed to the cross,

and he was after they was taken down, was buried.

And on the third day, the Sunday, he was risen.

And that is where we come to today story the

resurrection Sunday, where he is reasen and he is alive.

We celebrate today the greatest man in history, and his

name is Jesus.

Let me tell you why he is the greatest.

Because he had no servants, yet they called him master.

He had no degree, they called him teacher. He had

no medicine, yet they called him healer. He had no army,

yet kings feared him. He won no military battles, yet

he conquered the world. He did not live in a castle,

yet they called him lord. He ruled no nations, yet

they called him king. He committed no crime, yet they

crucified him. He was buried in the tomb, yet he

lives today a man, come on, let's give God a

clap offering. Buried in the tomb yet lives today. And

so I asked myself this simple question today, what is

one thing that is equally as significant or powerful as

the cross? And the answer today is the empty tomb.

Because if Jesus only went to the cross and died

and that was the end of the story, he would

just have been a martyr. But how many, ever know

the empty tomb is equally as important because every other

religions teacher or prophet is still in the grave except

Jesus Christ. The tomb of Jesus Christ is empty today.

And without the empty tomb, your favor in my faith

will still be dead.

We will still be dead in our saints.

But because Christ has overcame the grave because he was sinless,

there was no sin in him. He was the perfect sacrifice.

He was raised from the day to life. And the

tomb is important. Why is the tom important because the

tomb reminds us that Jesus really did die. It's important

because he really did die, he.

Was buried there.

But not only was the tomb important now we actually

say it as the empty tomb because Jesus is riisen,

and the empty tomb truly confirms who Jesus really was

and what he said about himself that he will rise

from the date on the third day. And so when

we look at emptyness, right, it's never a good connotation

to emptiness, you know. And imagine when you are, you know,

at home taking a shower and you start to pum

your your soap and it's empty if we've been there before,

you know, or you're cooking and then you pick up

your soy saus and he's like empty.

You know. So when we look at emptiness, it's never

a good connotation. You know.

We don't have a good uh, you know, remembrance to

something as empty. But I want n't you know, the

empty tomb is a great thing. Come on, it's a

great thing. The tomb is empty because God transformed the

empty tomb into a symbol of hope and life. And

even if today you may feel that there is an

emptiness in you, I want to let you know that

God can feel it, feel it with his love, with

his peace and his hope. Because the disciples actually went

to I would imagine that they went to a day

of silence.

What do you think that what do you think the.

Disciples did on a Saturday? Yeah, that's what happened, your silence,

because on a Friday he was crucified after they buried.

What would have gone through their mind on a Saturday?

Can you imagine when the Master or the King, or

the Savior or their best friend that they have followed

for all those years suddenly was dead and buried in

the tomb? There was silence. But friends, silence does not

mean God is not working. It just simply means He

is still at work and the best is still yet

to come. That's why I like the sound that it chose.

Friday is good because Sunday is coming, Because Sunday is

coming and God is still working. And so my question

to you and me today is this the empty tomb

changes everything, or some of you may like to say

as the truth of the resurrection and changes everything.

The question is has it changed me? Has it changed you?

I asked that.

Because the question is are you still living in defeat?

Are you still living in fear? Are you still living

in regrets? Are you still living in brokenness? Because the

empty tomb has changed it all, the question is has

it change me? And I want you to hold this

top for all, because I'm going to start with this question,

and I'm going to end the message with this same question.

Has it changed me? John chapter eleven, verse twenty five

to twenty seven says Jesus said to her, I am

the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me,

though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives

and believes in me shall never die.

Do you believe this?

She said to him, Yes, Lord, I believe that you

are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to

come into the world. The next verse tells us in

John chapter seventeen, verse three, and this is eternal life,

that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus,

whom you have sent, this is eternal life. And so

we have this quote that like to say that the

Gospel is you know, if you actually write the word gospel,

g o spl is God's only Son provides eternal life.

That's an easy way to remember the Gospel, God's only

Son provides eternal life. So John seventeen verse three tells

us that this is eternal life.

That they may know.

You, that they may know you, how many of us

you'll know Jesus, Amen, the only True God and Jesus Christ,

whom you have sent. And so this word no is

very important to us. And if you study the word

no in Greek is actually ginosco okay, And it actually

means to know absolutely, not just any knowing in your head.

Because sometimes, to be very honest with you, as long

time believers in the faith, even myself, which I'm born

in a Christian family, I like to tell people, I

like to joke that I was in church before I

was born, because I was in my mother's womb, you know.

But sometimes going to church so often we know how

to say all the dragons, We know how to say

yes and amen at the right time. You know how

to clap at the right time, stand and sit down.

But friends, do you know absolutely who Jesus Christ is?

He is he truly your savior. And so my next

question and challenge to you is this, do you absolutely

believe that Jesus died on the cross and he rose again?

Do you absolutely believe? Because to be very honest.

With you, when I was a believerable growing up, even

in my twenties and my meat or late twenties, I

was still searching for a lot of evidences and a

lot of study about the death and the resurrection of

Jesus Christ, and today I will attempt to try to

share some with you, you know, from my finding that

that I've discovered, and they're very, very very interesting actually.

But before that, let's look at the resurrection story that happened.

Let's all turn to John chapter twenty. If you have

a Bible, why didn't you turn to John chapter twenty,

verse one to ten.

All right, are you there?

John chapter twenty, verse one to ten says, now, on

the first day of the week, Mary mcdadin went to

the tomb early while it was still dark, and saw

that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

Wow. Then she ran and came.

To Simon Peter and to the other disciple, whom Jesus

anyone guess who said?

This disciple is John. You're right, that's John. Okay.

Then she went and came to Simon Peter at the

other disciple actually is John, whom Jesus love, and said

to them, they have taken away the Lord out of

the tomb, and.

We do not know where they have laid him.

Peter therefore went out and the other disciple, and we're

going to the tomb. So they both ran together, and

the other disciple Art ran Peter and came to the

tomb first. Wow, John was so competitive. He had to

write that he Chinese, said Cassule Cassu. He had to

specifically say that he already, and he was humble enough

not to write his name. So he came to the

tomb first, and he's stooping down.

This is John.

Okay, John stooping down looking in, saw the linen claws

lying there, yet he did not go in. Then Simon

Peter came following behind, following him and went into the tomb,

and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the

handkerchief that had been around his head not lying with

the linen cloths, but folded together in the place by itself. Now,

I'll come to this in a or later. But I'm

not sure whether you saw the detail of the skid

this now, because from the front I could see it.

Did you know that they actually folded the cloth? Okay,

maybe you couldn't see it from the bag, but just

to let you know the actually when when they covered Joel,

which is representing Jesus at the time, and when they

had removed him from the tomb uh the the You know,

our partners actually took time to fold the cloth, and

there's a very accurate representation in the Bible. I'm gonna

show it you. It's actually here. Okay, Now come to

that later, Okay. So it was folded together in the

place by itself. Then the other disciples who came to

the tomb first, which is John, went in old so

and saw and believed, for as yet they did not

know the scripture that he must rise again from the day.

Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.

Really really interesting story.

You know when I read this partial and John, that

a lot of details that if you really just like.

That, you may miss.

And today I'm going to try to ATTEMPD to help

us break down some of these details. But before that,

I want to share you the evidence of the resurrection.

Today.

Most modern scholars, in fact, all historians believe or actually

agree that Jesus did indeed was trialed under ponscious pilot

and was crucified. Even the non Christian historians also agree

with that, and they believe and they agree to that

to the fact, so there is no doubt that Jesus.

Died. They believe he was the historical figure.

He was crucified under this pointers pilot, and he he died,

He really did die.

They believe it. They agree with that fact. It's a history.

But I want to point us to the resurrection, the

part of the resurrection. Did you know that the stone

that covered the tomb was very interesting? And by the way,

there's the first evidence there was a massive stone that

covered the tomb of Jesus Christ and the stone was

rolled away, which is actually and very impossible to ask.

Does anybody want to guess how heavy was the stone?

Anybody any twice to guess two tons and any other guesses. Yeah,

it's it's very close, very close, okay. So scholars actually

believe it's about one and a half to two tons, okay,

the weight of the of the stone, and that is

actually heavid and most of our normal Sudan casts okay,

most of our Soudan cast about one time is one

time plus okay, one a half time is quite a

big size coldy. And so the Bible says, right, let

me see raise it, okay. Yeah, joined to the twenty

verse one now and the first day of the week,

Marriament didn't went to the tomb early, but I was

still dark and saw that the stone had been taken

away from the tomb.

And so the massive.

Stone that was rolled away, friends, was actually a very

impossible task because in those days, the way they made

the tomb is that the tomb would the stone would

have been rolled downwards to cover the tomb, you know,

because when they made a tomb for the date, you

never need to open the tomb, right, you never need

to open the tomb, and that's how it was. It

was made right, so it was made in such a

way that it would be easier to close the tomb

than to open it.

Okay, So think about it. Who would have rolled the stone?

Because if he took humans to roll the stone, he

would have taken at least fifteen to twenty humans to

roll the stone, and there's no way they could have

done it without awakening the guards or without starting the guards.

So clearly, the first evidence is that God was the

one who rolled the stone. In fact, you read some

of the other references, is that act said they say

the angel roll the stone, okay, or the earthquake, but

it was God who wrote the stone. Because it was

an impossible task to roll the stone on the upward

inclination to open the tomb because the stone was massive.

And so if you look at some of the studying,

some of the scriptures and the gospels, three differn Gospels

uses this word upper killio okay, which is referring to

the rolling of the stone, and he actually says it

actually means to roll off or away okay, And two

words put.

Together a proposition. I thing.

It's called apple I think, okay, And it actually means

a separation or she means a distance from it. So

they had to actually specify that the stone was rolled

a distance away.

Okay.

By the way, when you see many of the pictures online,

because when I google the images online, I find many images.

So the stone was opened up half mooney, okay. Maybe

they're imagining God was rolling the stone halfway and it.

But when you read the three.

Gospels, they say it was rolled a distance. Actually that's

what it means. This is a separation. In fact, John,

the Book of John, the Gospel John, takes it even

further because the Book of John, chapter twenty, verse one

says that the sword and the stone had been taken

away from the from the tomb. It was as though

someone lifted the stone and moved it there as door

as though. I'm not gonna go in too much details,

but that tells you that there was a miracle. Only

God could move that stone without waking up the guys, okay,

or without the guys knowing it.

It's impossible.

There's no way men would have enabled to roll the stone,

and has got the whole.

Party to do it.

That's the first huge evidence the stone, the massive stone

was rolled away.

The second thing is the grave clothes.

The grave clothes of Jesus Christ tells us a story

and I'm going to show it to you now. If

you look very carefully at the scripture here and John

John actually stood on that from outside, and I think

he stooped down and he looked into the tomb.

And he saw the grave clothes lying there.

Now, if you look at the scripture carefully, I think

I yes, Okay, if you look at the scripture carefully,

John saw the grave clothes lying there. The first test,

the only thing he saw actually from the outside. Peter

then came and went into the tomb. He saw the

same thing. He saw the grave clothes lying there. And

he saw another detail that John did not see at first,

he saw the handkerchief that was covering his head folded

and put aside. Now those details are actually very important.

When the Bible says that the grave clothes were lying there,

scholars believe.

That he was still in the shape.

Of which they wrapped Jesus, because in those days, when

they wrapped the body, they were wrap it around like

like like a like a like a cockon like a mummy. Right,

And it was as though the body of Jesus just

lifted up or just vanished or disappeared, and the shape

of the dinden cloth was still there, wrapped as it is,

and probably as a sag, because the missing body is

not the body is no longer in the in the

in the cloth.

And that's what both John and Peter saw. That's what

it means.

They saw the linen cloths lying there and the handkerchief

that wrapped his head folded neatly at the side. Now,

some people think that his body was stolen. Let me

ask you a question. If robbers come and rob your house,

do you think they will foll your clothes and iron

your clothes and arrange your chairs and put it nicely

and neatly If you have found a robber had done there.

They probably came to your house and they wrote nothing,

because there's no way when robbers come they ransack your house.

Right.

So, logically speaking, the evidence pointed there was no way

his body was stolen. No way impossible because if robbers came,

they would have. In fact, if the robbers came, they

wouldn't have time to unwrap the linen cloth and take

Jesus and wrap it back again. It's virtually impossible they

would have taken the whole body with the cloths. Finds

the evidence of the cloth left there, in fact, is

a proof, and that vidance that Jesus indeed reason if

you look at every single minor detail of it, you know,

I was amazed, our son. There was no way that

the body was stolen. And then's why the Bible says

when John went in and when he saw the details,

the Bible says he believed. He believed because he saw

the details. Number three, the third evidence I want to

show you today is the bribeguards. Now, before I go

any further, let's look at this scripture, okay, Matthew, Chapter

twenty eight, verse eleven to fifteen. Matthew, twenty eight eleven

to fifteen. So the Gospel of Matthew actually shows us

what happened after his resurrection and what the confusion that

happened among the gods. He says, now, while they were

going behold somew the God came into the city and

reported to the chief wish all the things that had happened.

When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together,

they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, saying,

tell them his disciples came at night and stole him

away while we slept, And it comes, and if this

comes to the governor's ears, we will appearance him and

make you secure. So they took the money and did

as they were instructed. And this saying is commonly reported

among the Jews until this day. Now, when you read

this detail, right, I wonder how many of us actually

realized what happened here. First of all, let's talk about

the possibility that the believers thought the body. In order

to understand that, we first need to understand that when

you know, when the Roman soldier puts a god over

a prisoner, they have this thing called a Roman seal.

And can you imagine after one day of confusion and

the disciples on the Saturday after he was buried, they

would have been confused, and they would have been scared,

very scared, and very anxious because their master, their savior

head crucified.

Do you even think it's possible.

That the disciples would have dared to break the Roman

seal and steal the body. Very unlikely, very unlikely. Okay,

let's look at another possibility. Imagine if the soldiers or

the Roman or you know, the evil people who crucify

j Jesus tried to come and steal the body so that,

you know, so that they can add the dec people

whatever whatever reason. So when people say, yeah, his reason,

they can take the day body and show right. Do

you think that they would have done that. No way

they would have done they would they would not have

done it either, right, because they would have been caught.

They could have been caught. Right, So the possibility of

either side stealing the body is very unlikely. No way

it would have happened, because either way, if I don't

want them steal the body, the body he was as

simple as the gods just needed to search for the body,

and the entire resurrection story would have been nullified.

But that's not the case.

They could not find the body, and so the clue

that we can see is the question that we must

ask ourselves is why did the Roman soldiers or why

did the authorities bribe the soldiers who got the tomb,

Because if you really understood how the Roman soldiers worked,

if there was a Roman soldier put on God over

a prisoner in this case, Jesus was the prisoner a

dead prisoner in this case, and if.

The prisoner had escaped, they would.

Actually punish the Roman soldier and they would take his life.

If I'm not wrong, actually they will burn his life, okay,

by fire. That is actually the death penalty for the

Roman soldier for allowing his prisoner to escape. It would

have been deaf, so there will be no possible explanation

why the soldiers were not killed, but instead they were bribed.

So could it have been that when the authorities or

the officers heard about this story, this report, they would

have went to the tomb themselves to investigate this situation,

like how this CSI will come and go investigate a scene,

a crime scene, right, and they would have went to

the two men look at the stone, like what in

the world how did the stone get from here to death?

First thing to read they were miss done. Second thing

they went, they went through the two men like can

you imagine?

Can you imagine before when the Rouma thought this, go

ahead and look at the look at the scene, and like, friends,

they could only conclude one and one conclusion.

Only God could have done it. Otherwise they would have

taken the life of the soldiers.

Are you are you following me? Can you imagine? They

were taken a life of the soldiers. But there was

no other explanation for him. They could only conclude it

could have only been gone. And that is why they

have to bribe the soldiers to lie. But friends, that's

not the end. I really believe. This is the fourth

evidence I'm going to give you, and I believe this

is actually one of the strongest evidence of all.

The strongest evidence I believe.

But the resurrection of Jesus Christ is changed lives.

Because if you.

Look at the lives of the disciples just before the

crucifixion of Jesus Christ, many of them fled. You remember that,

you remember the scene and the guard down seminy.

They're all fled.

Peter de United Jesus three times before the rooster probe,

and they were all fake, they were all scared, they

were very fearful. But yet after the death the Barrier

and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, all of the disciples

actually died a painful death for.

Their faith and for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Literally all of them, okay, all were martyred, some even

true crucifixion. Peter was crucified upside down, as he did

not count worthy to be crucified the same way like

Jesus did others. They died by stoning and even beheaded.

And scholars believe he was only John. Only John was exiled.

I think he was in They called it Iroland, called

Patmos Island.

Only him.

But that change and transform life to me is one

of the greatest evidence of the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

because why would believers die for something that was not true.

You wouldn't, you wouldn't give a life to it. And

I recall all over the world today hundreds thousands and people,

thousands and maybe even tens of thousands, people will give

their lives, you know, in countries that are persecuted, they

will give their lives to Jesus because they truly believe

that he died and he rose again, and that Jesus

met them one way or another, true a dream to

a vision, whatever it is. So I believe that evidence

lives in each and every single person of us sitting

here today, our change and transform lives.

Do you believe it? Do you believe it? Say amen?

So I'm about the clothes very soon. Already. The empty

tomb changes everything.

I'm back to my same question I started off with this,

The empty tomb changes everything. The question for you and

me is has it changed me? Has it changed me?

Because when I look at all the lives of the

disciples after Jesus, their lives were never the same again.

They gave their hearts, hold their lives wholeheartedly to the lawn.

And I want to let you know if today you're

feeling empty, you're feeling down, your feeling said, you're feeling anxious,

I want to remind you that the same power that

rose twice from the day lives in us. And I

want to point you before I close, I want to

point you to a particular scripture in the Bible. It's

found in Genesis chapter three. Maybe you can go to

the Last Light I think I think it's the last light.

Genesis Chapter the three was fifteen. Now for all of

us see that you today, and especially if you're hearing

this message for the very first time, I want to

remind you once again that Jesus loves you, and he truly,

truly loves you.

Did you know that.

I really believe that God's salvation plan was not plan

be plan A all along, because the salvation story was

not found later in the Bible, but it was actually

for a sight right at the beginning in creation of mankind.

If you look at his verse on the screen, Genesis sept.

Three was fifteen. Very carefully, this was exactly at the

moment after the fall of mankind. Genesis three was fifteen,

and he reads, and I will put enmity between you

and the woman is talking to the subpurn okay or

the devil or the serpent, between you and the woman,

and between your seat and her seat.

Keptital s okay. My Bible actually has a keptit s seed.

He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his

heel kepital hite. Do you know what actually that means?

Do you know what I means? Who was the seed

of the woman eve. Jesus, Jesus was her seat capta,

and he says, he shall bruise your heat. So when

he is Jesus, okay, yes, God, Jesus, he is Jesus,

he shall bruise your heat. He's going to Satan's head,

and you, selling Satan, you shall bruise his heret hitch,

he is here, Okay, you're here. So when I look

at this person a Bible, the salvation story was found

right here at the moment of the fall of mankind.

He was as though God was eager or impatient, for

lack of a better word, eager to declare the salvation

of mankind. Right at the moment of fall of mankind.

God had already declared, he shall bruise your head, and

you shall bruise, and you shall bruise his heal. What

that actually means is that Satan were bruce Jesus' heal.

That was the death on the cross, on the cross.

But what wild Jesus do in return? He would crush

or he would bruised Satan at the head, and the

head refers to the killing blow. That's why today when

Jesus has risen, he's alive. He has defeated sin and death.

He defeated Satan because he crushed Satan at his head,

but Satan could only bruise Jesus up to his heel. Friends,

if you're feeling down and you're feeling like he defeated,

I will let you know Christ has wanted victory. And

I remind you that the same power that rose Christ from

the day lives in you and lives in me. The

salvation of mankind was prophesied right at the beginning in

Genesy chapter three, right at the moment of the fall

of mankind. How amazing it is that God was fully

in control for.

All our creation.

The last two verses for you as a close and

invited the worship thing to come up first. Covintence fifteen,

verse fifty forty fifty seven says death is solowed up

in victory, Oh death, where is your sting, Oh Hades,

where is your victory? This thing of death is sin,

and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks

be to God who gives us the victory to our

Lord Jesus Christ. Amen, he gives us the victory to

our Lord Jesus Christ. And my last verse for you,

this morning is this Jaun Chapter sixth, verse to the

three Jesus says to us in the world, you will

have tribulation, but be of good cheer.

I have overcome the world. Be of good cheer. I

have overcome the world. Amen.

And so even as you remember by the resurrection of

Jesus Christ, I want to draw us again our attention

to the same question as started off.

The empty tomb changes everything. The question is has it

changed me?

Because the empty tomb today gives us peace, It gives

us hope, It gives us a future, It gives us

victory in Jesus Christ. It gives us eternal life because

Jesus is reason and the empty tomb is a proof

of that death could not hold him down.

He has overcame the grave. You and I.

Even as we accept him as our Lord and as

our savior, we too can receive the eternal life that

Jesus gives to you and to me.
