  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Today.

  4. My word is really I'm just going to be sharing, uh,

  5. the name of God, his name from some of my

  6. my own readings. And you know, I was, I was

  7. quite interested to that. She has a lot of names

  8. used in the Bible. Now, in in the English Bible

  9. is just God and Lord, right, these two are the

  10. most written down words to refer to God, God and Lord.

  11. But in a Hebrew Bible there's lots of names.

  12. This is just I'm just pulling out, you know, the

  13. main four and then there are many many others.

  14. But sure of hands, how many of you have heard

  15. the name Elohim? Not bad? Almost most of you? L

  16. should I.

  17. Or long time Christians? Yeah, wah, very good? And I

  18. don't know God.

  19. Do you do? You know the difference between the names?

  20. Maybe some So I realized, you know, when when I

  21. was reading these names or hearing it signce songs, that realized, actually,

  22. I don't really know the difference between them.

  23. Also, I did a.

  24. Bit of a study to to find out where where

  25. it's origin, where as it use? What does it mean?

  26. And so I'll share a little bit of that today hopefully,

  27. because at the end of the day, again, when we

  28. talk about revival, we talk about, you know, us responding

  29. to God. It is the work of God, right, It's

  30. not it's not going to be our orchestration. It's not

  31. we can set things up, we can plan. It's it's

  32. going to be Him that moves. But but for us,

  33. I feel just knowing him more, learning more about him,

  34. understanding his his name, his character, all that draws us,

  35. you know, it draws us.

  36. To this amazing, powerful, loving God.

  37. And so as we talk through this, you know, my

  38. prayers that our hearts will just be open to Him

  39. and what He wants to say to us. I mean

  40. for myself recently, Okay, for those who are new, I

  41. work in an it IT business. It's a UK company

  42. that I'm in now, but I've been with the business

  43. from the time it was an American business and venture

  44. love acquisitions, and I've been with a company for twenty years,

  45. so two thousand and six until now. Yeah, I probably

  46. can guess my age roughly, and I've been there and

  47. this season has been one of the toughest because of

  48. the acquisition and different changes, and it's been constantly changing

  49. since the pandemic time, like since twenty nineteen, you know,

  50. different leadership, the ORG has been changing, change again, you know,

  51. the business structure, the business division structure, everything has been changing.

  52. So it's caused a lot of people to feel very

  53. insecure and unstable at this moment. And I find myself, included,

  54. feeling like my confidence has been hit just because of

  55. different conversations that I've had to have or trying to

  56. change certain decisions and don't have the power to, you know,

  57. and through different conversations with with you know, stakeholders in

  58. the UK, I just feel like, why do I feel

  59. like I do have confidence to speak what I think

  60. to try to influence decisions or influence situations. I find

  61. that I lost a bit of that confidence. But I'm

  62. constantly reminded, you know, by the Lord, like take the

  63. focus of yourself, focus back on what's what matters, what's eternal,

  64. and at the end of the day, you know, God

  65. is the one that the end they gott the one

  66. that placed me where I am right, I cannot none

  67. of it has got to do with my ability or

  68. my experience experience maybe a little bit like go was

  69. twent theiters right right, a long time in the same company.

  70. But in terms of my skill ability, none of that

  71. is really God has placed me where I am, and

  72. so I have to constantly remind myself Lord, you placed

  73. me here. You know, whatever I can influence, then you

  74. help me influence. If I can't, then it's out of

  75. my hands. I just surrendered to you my share because

  76. even my you know, the people around me, the believers

  77. are going through the same things. Those who don't know

  78. God are also going through the same things. And I

  79. find that, you know, for me, I'm just encouraging the

  80. believers to also look at things that are eternal, and

  81. those who are not well, I can only pray for

  82. them and encourage them as well.

  83. But I don't know.

  84. I don't know how many of us here maybe going

  85. through also uncertain times. You know, I hope today's message

  86. will bless you and encourage you.

  87. All right, So.

  88. About his name right in the Hebrew, you don't a

  89. word name. Actually, it's a shem shem, okay. And it's

  90. not just a combination of sounds or an identifier.

  91. It's not that.

  92. In Hebrew the word shem it really is about reputation.

  93. It is a reputation, and it's meant to convey the

  94. essence and characteristics of the person. So how many of

  95. you know the meaning of your name? Give me a wave,

  96. you know me? Or after this, ion't go back and

  97. research ask google meaning of.

  98. Yeah. So there is a there is a power and

  99. a wit of your name.

  100. And I don't know how many of you know of

  101. some people whom when you met them and they introduced

  102. their name, then you're thinking, like, why did your.

  103. Parents name you that?

  104. I don't know if you have that, I've I've met

  105. a few like, okay, why I put things I've been

  106. bullying in school or teas in school because the name

  107. is you know, either the meaning or it sounds a

  108. bit or but the name is so so important, so precious.

  109. And that's why when we look at the names of

  110. God you know today, it is is powerful because then

  111. you know his character. I give example, my name Rachel,

  112. so I know I know the meaning of my name.

  113. It means you, not like you, you female sheep.

  114. It means female sheep, and it brings the meaning of gentleness, nurturing.

  115. I don't know, really, I don't know what I've read

  116. and nurturing.

  117. But gentleness, nurturing, pure, definitely not the definitely not the

  118. most pure. But what is beautiful is I told the

  119. first reason as well. Both my parents they had the

  120. same name in mind when they were having me. And

  121. at that time, I don't think they knew whether they

  122. were having a boy or girl. Those days you don't

  123. really have skins and all that. Right now, we always

  124. know the gender those days, just whatever comes comes. But

  125. they both had had an impression in their heart that

  126. this would be a Rachel, and they didn't discuss it.

  127. But when they say it was the name, and then

  128. both said Rachel. So Rachel was born Rachel and and

  129. Rachel in the Bible, she was a shepherd. So many

  130. years later now you know, when my parents look at

  131. me and I look at myself and how far I've come,

  132. the name is it's exactly what I'm living out.

  133. Yeah.

  134. In extras, yeah, really called the term. It's called shepherd, shepherdess, shepherd.

  135. But basically started off with leading homes, right, leading a

  136. floor of people, leading homes, and then leading the homes,

  137. caring for the homes.

  138. Leaders.

  139. And we call in extras, we call we call the shepherds.

  140. Some church just called them zone leaders, et cetera. But

  141. ours this more true relationship with the homes leaders. And

  142. then and then shephidding the church. And so you know

  143. my name, I've seen how God has seen it through.

  144. That was the purpose right for which I was born.

  145. And if you knew me as a child, as a teenager,

  146. you'll never think or expect me to be standing here

  147. because I'm the most quiet I've shared, you know, with

  148. some of you. A friend of my parents asked my

  149. mom is she mute?

  150. Is she dumb?

  151. Because when they speak to me, I don't respond.

  152. I was dead, shy and dead skids.

  153. I don't respond, And so people suddenly thought, it's your daughter. Okay,

  154. she is she deaf and mute? So my mom always

  155. laughs bat at that time because you know, now completely

  156. completely turned around. But I was a very very timid,

  157. very shy, very low esteem, you know child growing up.

  158. But God is God is good. He turns our lines around.

  159. It is really it's really him. You know where I

  160. am standing now. And so yeah, but okay, today's not

  161. not about my name. And I hope you'll go find out

  162. the meaning of your names and see maybe you know

  163. something suddenly realize, oh that's why I'm like this, That's

  164. why I'm doing what I'm doing today.

  165. But we're talking. We're gonna talk about God's name.

  166. And the first name that I want to introduce to

  167. you is the one that is used in the very

  168. first verse in the Bible. So those of you know

  169. your Bibles very well, what is Genesis one one? In

  170. the beginning, my husband saying in the begininging, so how

  171. you watch that video in the beginninging in the.

  172. Beginning, come and read with me. It's the heavens and

  173. the earth.

  174. And this word God in the Hebrew Bible is is

  175. actually saying in the beginning, Elohim created the heavens and

  176. the earth.

  177. This is the first mention of God ylo him. What

  178. does this mean?

  179. You know? It talks about God's divinity, and because it's

  180. mentioned right from the start his creation, it also reminds us,

  181. you know, emphasizes God's creative power. He's all powerful creator.

  182. He spoke the universe into existence, you know. And then

  183. I love talking about this topic because when we look

  184. at our planets, and we look at the sun and

  185. the stars and the many stars that are much larger

  186. than our sun, and the sun is really so much

  187. larger than our earth, and we are like this tiny

  188. speck on the earth. You know, you see God's amazing

  189. greatness and vastness of his power. It's all powerful creator.

  190. I mean the word Elohim. It appears over twenty five

  191. hundred times in the Hebrew Bible, and it starts with

  192. a first verse. Right. What I want to just share

  193. a little bit is it's just for acknowledge. The word

  194. Elohim appears both as a common noun, so it can

  195. just mean like a divine divinity, divine being a spirit,

  196. even a ghost. But it also is a proper noun

  197. when we refer to God, like the one and only God. Okay,

  198. So it does appear in the Bible in two ways,

  199. common noun and the proper nouns name for God. But

  200. the interesting thing is, and you see there put it there.

  201. Elohim also is written in the Hebrew writing as a

  202. so Hebrew writing this way is a plural form, and

  203. it's a masculine plural form. So in in Hebrew and

  204. some other languages, you have masculine characters and feminine characters.

  205. I don't know how it works. Not not very good

  206. with language.

  207. But the word eloheim is is a masculine plural form.

  208. And I was like, oh, why why plural? That's interesting,

  209. and it can mean gods. So if they say Eloheim,

  210. it could mean like God's like many gods. But when

  211. it talks about our God is one and only God

  212. by its prural, why why Let's read Genesis one, verse

  213. twenty six. Right, He's created the whole words, creates all animals,

  214. all the birds, the fish. And then God says or

  215. in Hebrew by word, and Eloheim said, let us, who's

  216. the us, let us make man in our image. Does

  217. not let let me make men in my image. Just

  218. let us make man in our image. And that to me,

  219. that's rural, that is plural, and according to our likeness

  220. to them of dominion, over the fish of the sea,

  221. over the birds of the air, over the kettle, over

  222. all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps

  223. on the earth. And isn't it beautiful? Because the word

  224. elohim as I really it, and it's plural. That just

  225. affirms the Trinity got the Father, got the Son, got

  226. the Holy Spirit. Right from Genesis chapter one. He's working.

  227. They are working together. The three persons of our triune

  228. God is working together. Right in the creation, right from creation,

  229. all rule until the very end until revelation.

  230. So it's it really this word elo himan, we say it.

  231. It emphasizes God's authority, his sovereign authority, his divinity. And

  232. then it also emphasizes he is three in one, three

  233. persons in one. And it's beautiful right, how they work together.

  234. And there's one of my messages where I spoke about

  235. Father's son, Holy Spirit, beautiful, how they work in unity.

  236. And it's also one of the hardest things for us

  237. as believers to explain to someone who hash it got

  238. three three in one, three gods, one God with three heads. No,

  239. it's hard to explain. It's sometimes even hard for us

  240. to comprehend it with our human minds. But this is

  241. our God, supreme. You know, he's supreme. He's above our comprehension,

  242. that's for sure. And this is his name first introduced

  243. in the Bible. So if we read Deuteronomy six, verse

  244. four as well, we see the word used again. And

  245. this is called called it the Sama. Okay, it's a

  246. hero Israel. Those of you know this verse pretty rare.

  247. It's here or Israel. And I've spoken about Shama before

  248. as well where it's not just here. In the Hebrew

  249. word shama means here and obey, here and obey. You

  250. cannot just hear and not do anything, which is which

  251. is why when people spoke to me and I was like, kid, right,

  252. and I didn't respond, it's as if I didn't hear.

  253. When you don't do something, it's like you didn't hear. Parents,

  254. you know, right, do you hear me? You're asking your

  255. kid because they didn't do what you said. And it's

  256. the same with us. If we heard God and didn't obey,

  257. it's it's as if we didn't hear at all. Right,

  258. So here or is Rael shamah or Israel the Lord,

  259. our God, the Lord is one. And here we see

  260. the word God is lo he knew. Okay, it's not

  261. same as Elohim. Okay, it's just a derivision of Elohim

  262. because it means our God, the Lord, our God. So

  263. our God is AlOH knew. Elohim is just God. Right,

  264. And he says the Lord is one again. Beautiful here

  265. to read this verse, because why what do you mean

  266. the Lord is one.

  267. Again?

  268. I see emphasizing the unity of God, the Father, the Son,

  269. and the Holy Spirit.

  270. Right. I like to turn us.

  271. To Ecclesiastics as well, Chapter twelve, verse thirteen. And this

  272. is written by who knows who wrote ecclesiass or at

  273. least who they believe wrote Ecclesias. Is who I think,

  274. Josh Josh said, Solomon, Yeah, correct, correct, King Solomon, King Solomon,

  275. and he is King David's son, and he is the richest,

  276. wisest man right in history, and he wrote this book.

  277. You know, I was current and reading through.

  278. Kings Samuel and Kings for Samuel For's second Samuel for

  279. King Second Kings and reading up about Solomon right and

  280. his riches, and you know, what he had is really

  281. out of this world, like.

  282. His annual income.

  283. So I took note it says it's six hundred and

  284. sixty six talents of gold. I was wondering why six

  285. six six. It's quite interesting that is that number? Sixty

  286. six talents of gold. But if you translate to today's worth,

  287. it's about three point two two billion USD today. That

  288. was his annual income, and that was how rich he was.

  289. Of course you read you know that he's got tons

  290. of she votes kettle and and all that kind of stuff.

  291. And he also has seven hundred wives wives are and

  292. three hundred concubines, one thousand in all holy house, all

  293. of them for us one not always like challenging the

  294. one thousand, okay, but that's all the matter.

  295. I mean, he had everything you think about.

  296. It, He had everything in the world, but he ends

  297. his life with like a simplear conclusion of life. In

  298. chapter one, he starts off saying, really meaningless.

  299. I don't have it. Yeah, I do have it. Meaningless,

  300. everything is meaningless, you know. We like, what do we

  301. get for a hard work, all of us working with

  302. hat all the working people. Yeah, they're in day out,

  303. start early and late.

  304. No matter how much we see, how much we hear,

  305. how much we gain, how much we have. I mean,

  306. people would never be said it's fight. There's always more.

  307. There's always more out there. There's always someone else who's

  308. who's at a higher level than you. There's always someone

  309. else who's richer than you. There's someone who has more experienced.

  310. We are never satisfied. And for someone, you know, for

  311. King Solomon to say that, so everything is meaningless at

  312. the end of his life, say something about it, and

  313. we have how many of you here feeling it like

  314. you're slogging so many hours. You you're sacrificing family time,

  315. meantime sleep in my company, I don't know. Okay, Malaysia,

  316. we don't.

  317. We don't have this.

  318. But in the UK they're all going stress leaving anyone

  319. whoks to the UK companies, you can go for months.

  320. Of lif for stress.

  321. I'm like, see that's not your higher Malaysias because we

  322. don't have such a thing.

  323. Yeah, they actually disappear.

  324. For months because of mental health and it's clocked off

  325. as a stress leaver.

  326. I don't know.

  327. I can't bring it. In Malaysia, we don't have such

  328. a thing. But we do have, right we do. We

  329. do have stress, we have pressures, we have some going

  330. to anxiety and all that. And for what question is

  331. for what why are we doing that to ourselves? But

  332. this is what King Solomon's conclusion of life is. What

  333. does he say in chapter twelve verse I think Eclesias

  334. is twelve thirteen, you know the verse x TIV XTV, Yes,

  335. thank you. So this is why he says, let us

  336. hear the conclusion of the whole matter. Okay, because simple

  337. anaa fear god, fear yellow him and keep his commandments.

  338. For this is men's all. That's all. That's the conclusion

  339. of life.

  340. After he lived everything many years, had everything towards his

  341. last days when he was older, before he went.

  342. This is his conclusion.

  343. Fear yllow him, keep his commandments, for this is man's

  344. all and really our duty as men, as humans, as

  345. his creation. If we don't recognize this right, then every

  346. day we'll find it. You know, we won't have that fulfillment,

  347. we won't have that he us satisfaction, because then it's

  348. about hitting our KPIs at work, hopefully hitting KPIs and

  349. getting a raise, getting a getting a creement, getting a promotion,

  350. those on your businesses, winning a deal, getting more customers.

  351. But all that is, you know, it doesn't amount to

  352. to really fulfilling life, an abundant life. And the only

  353. way to live that is to fear alo him and

  354. keep his commandments. And the moment we start drifting, I

  355. mean for myself, So the moment I start focusing on

  356. what's on earth right, or jobs in front of us,

  357. the results of work, then that's when we start losing

  358. losing meaning, losing purpose. But when we fix our eyes

  359. on him and follow him and obey his word, then

  360. that's when we find fulfillment. Amen, when you're catching something

  361. from the name him and you know it's some fun

  362. facts and the daddy is yeah for Steven Josh. Also

  363. here Samuel. I think it's in in ex kids. So

  364. the name is sam Samuel and the parents know not

  365. the meaning huh kenna as a himur actually is? So

  366. the L L is is God. Okay, it's the singular

  367. word for God. Elo Him is the proral right, say,

  368. it's proral. So it came in God's but in in

  369. our God's term is he He is a plural? Okay,

  370. he is almighty, He's the Trinity. But L on his

  371. own is God. And so Samuel L is heard by God.

  372. Samuel heard by God. He was an answered prayer right in

  373. the Bible, the prophets, the answered prayer of Hannah, Hannah

  374. the mom all.

  375. Read back the Bible.

  376. Another name Immanuel, the one everyone knows the meaning or

  377. most of you know anyway, what is it God with us?

  378. Yeah?

  379. So the L again the L is God, right, man

  380. is with us? I guess the Hebrew And another name

  381. Elijah Elijah aso L God. Yeah, my God el Jah

  382. is yahweh. So my God is Yahweh. My son Elias.

  383. His name is also derived from his is the Greek

  384. version of Elijah, so it also means the same thing.

  385. My God is Yahweh. So you see a lot of you.

  386. Know, different Hebrew names that take a bit of God's

  387. name L and it's derived from there just some fun facts.

  388. But to conclude the name of L O him. He's

  389. all powerful. Remember he's the creator. You know when you

  390. read your Bible, you can next time read that in

  391. the beginning, and Oheen created heavens and the earth, and

  392. he's the Trinity. And if we move on to the

  393. next name quite similar also as the L L should die.

  394. So I was not a song about we don't know

  395. what we're seeing.

  396. El should I? El should I?

  397. And then I cannot sing the other words causes In Hebrew,

  398. this means God a mighty and I say God all

  399. my tea. And it appears it appears rought Old Testament.

  400. And what is interesting about this name is it particularly

  401. appears whenever God made a covenant and made promises with Abraham,

  402. Isaac and Jacob. He's when the name appeared quite a

  403. few times. It's with the three of them, Abraham and

  404. the patriars sounding call it his son Isaac and Isaac's

  405. son Jacob. So in Genesis seventeen, verse one to two.

  406. It is when Abraham was ninety nine years old. Can

  407. you read the verse Genesis seventeen, verse one to two. Yes,

  408. when Abram was ninety nine years old, the Lord appeared

  409. to him said to him.

  410. I am El.

  411. Should I I am almighty God?

  412. Okay?

  413. In our English, brother just says A mighty God, El,

  414. Should I walk before me and be blameless? And I

  415. will make my covenant between me and you and will

  416. multiply you exceedingly. Remember this, this is when Abram and

  417. Sarah didn't have any offspring, no kids yet, no children,

  418. and God is saying, I will multiply you exceedingly, one

  419. of who don't have what a multiplier. But we look

  420. down further on in the chapter, in verse nineteen, he says,

  421. then God said, Sarah, your wife shall bear you a son,

  422. and you should call his name Isaac. I will establish

  423. my covenant again, says I will stablish my covenant with

  424. you for an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after him.

  425. So not just with his sons, with his sons, sons

  426. and sons and sons and sons and many many descendants

  427. after him. So we see when I see el should die,

  428. I see God Almighty. He's a covenant, covenant til God right.

  429. He makes promises, he multiplies his children, and he made

  430. the impossible possible right Sarah and Abraham.

  431. Sarah was barren.

  432. Abraham was one hundred and Sarah was ninety when they

  433. had Isaac. And how many of us are also waiting

  434. for a promise. I believe Abraham, wait twenty five years

  435. from the time God first promised him, I will multiply

  436. your descendants twenty five years later. Only yes, Isaac wels

  437. I was wait twenty five minutes or so rare right,

  438. let alone a year twenty five months. But it's not

  439. our timing. We're waiting for a breakthrough, for healing, for

  440. an answer. Sometimes it's not our timing, it's God's. We know,

  441. we have to know that he is a covenant of God.

  442. He makes his promises, and he never goes back on

  443. his promise. Amen, may we can see in in Exodus six,

  444. verse three, this way we know, you know, God revealed

  445. himself that way to all three of them, Abraham, Isaac,

  446. and Jacob. So God spoke to This is Moses time

  447. already okay Exodus six, verse three, do you have the

  448. verse xib.

  449. Next which she can swipe?

  450. I should get the control Exodus six three drive that

  451. God spoke to Moses. So basically he said, I appeared

  452. to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as El should die. Hey,

  453. I appeared to Abraham iss l should I. But my

  454. name at that time, my name Lord in the Hush

  455. Bible just says Lord, my name Lord in the Hebrew

  456. Bible is my name Yahweh was not known to them,

  457. So at the time they didn't know God as Yahweh.

  458. Yet they knew him as El should die. The other

  459. meaning behind this name is omnipotent. He's all powerful, right,

  460. Almighty God, all powerful does never heard the word before

  461. there's a new work. Omnipotent just means God. It's all powerful,

  462. and he makes the impossible possible. That's why we see

  463. Sarah's stories. It's you know, it's a it's a story

  464. that we carry forward in every area of our lives.

  465. When you say ah, something that cannot be God makes

  466. it to happen, and he fulfills his promises. He brings blessings,

  467. He brings fruitfulness. I pray we all see that him

  468. work in our lives to make us. He makes us fruitful.

  469. He promises us fruitfulness, whether in our personal lives, at

  470. our work in our ministry, maybe be fruitful because he

  471. brings the increased amen.

  472. Amen.

  473. Okay, so you mentioned right, my name, yeahweh was not

  474. known to them. So let's look at yeah way or

  475. you'd heva hey, that's actually what it is.

  476. The y h w h. Everyone saying you'd have.

  477. Vah hey, Yeah, that's the Hebrew Hebrew letters for y

  478. h w h.

  479. And this.

  480. Gain in English Bible is just Lord.

  481. But he's mentioned about seven thousand times in the Old

  482. Testament just this name, yeahweh uh. If you if you study,

  483. they basically added the A and the e there so

  484. they can pronounce yeah wah or southwest nost Jehovah and

  485. don't got extra smore e O n A. But at

  486. that time they you know, it's just consonants, no vowels.

  487. But where we see God introducing himself to Moses is

  488. when this dimension of this name or introduction, So Exodus three,

  489. verse fourteen, this is when Moses has the burning bush experience.

  490. What does God say to him. God said to Moses,

  491. I I.

  492. Am who I am in.

  493. The Hebrew word is a yeah, I share a ya

  494. that you're some Hebrew ever say a yeah, I share

  495. a yeah okay. And then he said you should say

  496. to the children of Israel, I am just a ya

  497. has sent me to you.

  498. And you're wondering, way, where's the yah wah okay a

  499. yeah he yeah.

  500. Basically is is I am?

  501. Okay?

  502. So God says, I am who I am or I

  503. will be what I will be. That's what it means.

  504. And it just means he's self sufficient, he's never changing,

  505. He's always there, right, I am, I.

  506. Am who I am.

  507. I am from the beginning author finishing your faith. I'm

  508. beginning and the end eternally present. The yahweh on Jehovah

  509. or just means he is he is. So I've got

  510. that on the slide as well. Yeah, next slide, next night.

  511. Yeah okay, he yes, I am Yeah, way is he is?

  512. So it's it's the same word, just a different from

  513. third party and from God himself saying it okay. So

  514. it's essentially the same word. And when we see how

  515. God introduces himself to Moses, I am who I am?

  516. Tell tell people Israel I am aa you know has

  517. said this. He's basically saying he's he's outside of time,

  518. he's outside of linear time. I used to really struggle

  519. with understanding. I don't know how many of your kids

  520. ask you this question?

  521. If God made? Always? Who make God?

  522. Or?

  523. And like in the we say in the beginning, so

  524. what was happening before the beginning? Cannot comprehend it before

  525. the beginning? Then I used to like, so before the beginning?

  526. Then it goes back and back and back and back.

  527. But but the other thing I didn't bet until where

  528. there's like no, there's.

  529. No start, So how do I see that?

  530. I can't envision it? But now I understand because we

  531. are living in time. We are bound by time and

  532. this linear time right from this from here to here.

  533. But for God, he's not bound by that. That's what

  534. eternity is. He's just not bound by time, he's not

  535. bound by space. And so another two omni words are omniscient.

  536. He's fully omniscient, meaning he knows all things. He has

  537. complete and unlimited knowledge, that is got omniscient. And he's omnipresent.

  538. The one you know omnipresent. Yeah, he's just present everywhere

  539. at the same time. So he's everywhere everywhere with us.

  540. And God is constant. He doesn't change. And the beautiful

  541. thing about that is because of his name, then we

  542. know we can trust him and he'll always be the same.

  543. He's just his His promises, you know, will always remain

  544. He's not He's not gonna change from generation to generation.

  545. Right from Adam right up to the end, his promises

  546. remain the same. I mean, we see that he has

  547. to be fruitfull and multiply, right, he tells Abraham, he

  548. tells Jacob, he said the same thing at the start

  549. at creation when he spoke to Adam, be fruitful and multiply.

  550. And you know, we know that God is asking us

  551. also to be fruitful and multiply today.

  552. Yeah.

  553. So, knowing God's name, we know we can trust him.

  554. He doesn't change. But more beautiful than that is also dead.

  555. This name.

  556. It describes God interfacing or engaging with humans, with men

  557. like us, fallen beings in his loving kindness and mercy.

  558. Uh see we.

  559. Read Exodus study four, verse six seven. This is this

  560. right after the right scene against God. Right, so Moses

  561. has gone to Mount SINAI to get the two tablets

  562. to you know, get the ten commanments from God?

  563. What the is right is down there doing? Huh party?

  564. You know, they couldn't.

  565. They couldn't wait, right, They're like, where's Moses is.

  566. Even coming back?

  567. So they asked Aaron, the priests at the time, like

  568. take all our goal, make us an idyl. Yeah, Aaron

  569. just says, yah, I to all a goal. I traded

  570. the fire and out came a calf. That's his words,

  571. always really a laugh because of night in the way

  572. describe the couf just jumped out the fire. So they

  573. worshiped that golden calf, right, And of course when Moses

  574. came down, he's.

  575. Like, what is happening? He's here to bring the.

  576. Ten Commandments, and immediately the already broke the first word,

  577. so he broke the tablets. Trade down but gone, tablets

  578. are gone. God's anger is oburned against the people.

  579. Right.

  580. He takes the coffee, melts in the fire and puts

  581. in the water and let the drink it. I don't

  582. know how many of them drink it, but a lot

  583. of them died that they not with the gola. Okay,

  584. they were struck by plague and things like that.

  585. But what happens.

  586. After that, Moses goes up again to Mons Sinai. I mean,

  587. he's asking for mercy. And he goes up again. And

  588. this is what God says. He meets Moses again. He's

  589. gonna make new tablets.

  590. You to Moses.

  591. Yeah, cut out stone again, Moses, he really had to

  592. cut stone right like that.

  593. I don't know how to do it.

  594. Better cut stone two stone tablets again for him to

  595. forgot to write the commandments. And this is how he

  596. This is what he says or explains to Moses. So

  597. if you look at Exodus thirty four, verse six to seven,

  598. do we have that? Yeah?

  599. I have that?

  600. Okay, And the Lord again, yahweh pass before him and

  601. proclaim the Lord again.

  602. Yeah wah.

  603. The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long suffering and abounding

  604. in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity

  605. and transgressions and sin by no means clearing the guilty,

  606. visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and

  607. the children's children to the third and fourth generation. Again

  608. he says, I'm merciful and gracious, I'm long suffering, abounding

  609. in goodness and truth? How many of you are grateful

  610. that our God is?

  611. Is that that's his name, that's who he is. If not,

  612. we're all.

  613. Doomed because we have I don't know how many generations

  614. of sin right on our lives. But he he chooses

  615. to forgive us. Amen, and he extends his mercy to us.

  616. And since we're talking about names, Yah, way, did you

  617. know Joshua that your name is derived from that Joshua?

  618. Hey, what DISAPELITYA?

  619. Joshua's names are derived from uh yeah, way, because it's

  620. yeah yeah yeahho shure yeah yeah yeah sure, which means

  621. the Lord is my salvation, Isaiah Isaiah. Also the Hebrew

  622. is yeah yeah, I don't know to pronounce yes yeahoo

  623. something yeah yes yeahoo. But the yeah there or Isaia

  624. yeah yeah yeah, it's God saves, God saves. Yeah yeah.

  625. Did you know there's a version by word that just says, yeah,

  626. we're gonna read it soon.

  627. Uh yeah, well go there shortly.

  628. But let me just turn to John John eight fifty eight.

  629. Someone else says, I am guess who there it is.

  630. Jesus said to them most assuredly, I say to you, before.

  631. Abraham was.

  632. A yeah, yeah, I am a yeah, Jesus there saying

  633. before Abraham I was.

  634. This is what made the people go crazy. I those

  635. who was chosen, like, ah, this is.

  636. Where they wanted to stone him because this is blessed

  637. for me. How can a man walking on earth say

  638. I am right because they know I am is easy?

  639. A way is there god men to say that that

  640. is blessed for me. And so they wanted to kill him.

  641. Somehow he got away. But this this is Jesus again

  642. being very clear, telling the world I am. I am

  643. even before Abraham. I am the beginning and the end.

  644. I didn't just come on Christmas Day. I am from

  645. the beginning. And yeah, so the yeah, the word yeah

  646. you read some sixty eight verse four, don't believe me.

  647. You can turn there.

  648. It says, sing to God, sing praises to his name,

  649. extoll him who rides on the clouds by his name. Yeah, yeah,

  650. militias you use that word alt yeah, yeah, now you remember, yeah, yeah,

  651. it's a short form for yr way. Okay, yeah, God

  652. writing on the clouds. And we'll see a few other

  653. verses saying that. So in Daniel chapter seven, verse thirteen,

  654. he sees a vision why he was watching the night vision.

  655. He said, and behold one like the Son of Man.

  656. At the time he didn't know Jesus name. He had

  657. the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven.

  658. Again he came to the Ancient of Days, which is

  659. another name for God, Inchion of Days, and they brought

  660. him near before him. So here we see Daniel seeing

  661. that vision that she is gonna come on the clouds.

  662. And if you want to take down, there's other verses

  663. in all the gospels. So in Matthew chapter twenty four,

  664. verus thirty, we're taking notes. Matthew twenty four to thirty,

  665. Mark chapter thirty in verse twenty six, and Luke chapter two,

  666. verse twenty seven. All of these, all three men recorded

  667. Jesus telling about his second coming, which is on the clouds.

  668. We sing that in the song CHRISTI is King writing

  669. on the clouds he is to come. Huh got these

  670. destructions making comments were not loud enough to hear, And

  671. it's yeah, I don't know how many you try to

  672. imagine the day when he comes in the clouds and

  673. everyone will see again. He's gonna be omnipresent, right, so

  674. the entire world is gonna see Christ, the King coming

  675. in the clouds. His name is yeah, yeah, we man.

  676. And you know the beautiful thing we spoke about his

  677. you know his he's is eternally present, he self sufficient,

  678. but even even more beautiful is his relational And he's

  679. coming back soon. He's coming back, yahway is coming back.

  680. Christ is coming back to take us home to be

  681. with him forever.

  682. Amen. And I hope you're.

  683. All longing for the day, not treading the day, longing

  684. for the day that will be home with him. But

  685. there's no more pain, no more suffering, no more sickness,

  686. no more death.

  687. Will be with him forever and ever. Amen. Amen, now

  688. yeah away.

  689. At that time, the word I said, they you know,

  690. it didn't even have vowels in it, but it was

  691. so holy right that the Jews said, we can't even

  692. say the name too holy, so let's replace it with

  693. another name. And hence you get I don't know. So

  694. that's the third name I introduced to you today.

  695. I don't know.

  696. It appears about three hundred times in the Old Testament,

  697. and it basically means.

  698. My lord and master. He makes like.

  699. You think it helped me, hasn't moved here. Yeah, the

  700. guys up there can help with Okay, I don't I.

  701. So the Jews substituted the name. Yeah way, so I

  702. don't know, because it's just too holy to say. And

  703. we can see the name used quite a few times.

  704. Exodus four, verse ten, Moses says, I don't know. I'm

  705. not eloquent, right, Lord, we read it as Lord in

  706. the Bible says, well, I don't know.

  707. Oh, my Lord, I don't know.

  708. I'm not eloquent, neither before nor since you're spoken to

  709. your servant, but I'm slow of speech and slow of tongue.

  710. Yeah. It basically can mean lord or my lord.

  711. Okay, And then in numbers six twenty four to twenty six.

  712. Now you hear this. You hear this every week.

  713. As we close the service, which is the benediction. Yeah,

  714. and we just say the Lord bless you and keep you,

  715. do lot, making faces shine upon you. Right, the word

  716. the verse is actually I don't I. So next time,

  717. cheeking close, I don't know, bless you and keep you.

  718. I don't know, making space shine upon you and be

  719. gracious to you. I don't I lift up his countenance

  720. upon you and give you peace. And it just means

  721. my Lord will bless you and keep you. My master

  722. will make his face to shine upon you, and he'll

  723. give you peace.

  724. Man's beautiful his name.

  725. There's a few other verses Psalms. In Psalms King David

  726. Rice in chapter sixteen, verse two, it says, you have

  727. said to I don't I. Psalms eighty three eighteen says

  728. whose name alone is?

  729. I don't I?

  730. And then in Daniel nine, verse nineteen or so, he says, oh,

  731. I don't I.

  732. You know here here.

  733. So there's a few times, quite a few times that

  734. you will read this name. But I wanted to zoom

  735. in on Psalms one hundred and ten, verse one, it

  736. says the Lord said to my lord.

  737. And when I used.

  738. When I read this verse, I'm always like what he's

  739. talking The Lord said to my lord. When they're talking

  740. to themselves or whose which lord? It's like English reading

  741. the English Bibles, you know, you might not get the

  742. full meaning or what sounds confusing, But when we look

  743. at the Hebrew writing, it distinguishes it. It says, Yahweh

  744. said to a Donnai, and Yahweh here is you know,

  745. we see we got God the Father, Yeahweh, And I

  746. don't is my Lord or the Messiah is basically saying

  747. the Messiah Jesus, the Lord said, yeahweh Godfather said to Jesus,

  748. I don't know. I sit at my right hand till

  749. I make your enemies.

  750. Your food stool.

  751. Because this is this is written by King David. So

  752. it's also a prophecy when you read it's quite beautiful

  753. when you read Psalms, there's quite a few things in

  754. there that King David wrote, the songs, and it's all

  755. a prophecy of what's to come, you know, and at

  756. the time it could have it could apply to him,

  757. but then it's like a foreshadow of what Jesus was

  758. gonna be or experience or do.

  759. Right, So that is.

  760. I don't know, that was the last word I was

  761. going to bring you. And basically why why I even

  762. decided to, you know, talk about our names, because when

  763. we when we know, oh well God is and we

  764. zooming on his characteristics, because He reveals himself to us

  765. in different times of our lives, different situations we're going through,

  766. different seasons we're going through. He reveals himself sometimes in

  767. different ways. Right, it's what we need at that time.

  768. And I really pray as we see. You know, he's

  769. all encompassing. I mean, all the angles that God comes in.

  770. I pray that that really makes our hearts just long

  771. for him, long to draw close to him, long to

  772. know him more. And you know, at homes we just

  773. learned that revival will come whether people hear God, but

  774. not just that, it's we need to position ourselves. How

  775. do we position ourselves and prepare ourselves to hear God

  776. and to experience revival?

  777. And so.

  778. In summary, you know, God's name describes him. So remember God, Elohim.

  779. He's a powerful creator, he's a trinity. He makes things

  780. come alive. Right, so we talk about revival. If he

  781. can creating out of nothing, create things out of nothing,

  782. then reviving something that's dead or something that's dormant, I mean,

  783. that's that's really nothing.

  784. For him, piece okay, Right, And if there's anything that's

  785. dead or dormant within us in our spirits that needs reviving,

  786. come on, let's call upon Elohim, creator of life.

  787. Else should die?

  788. God Almighty, do you have any possible situation? Any of

  789. you here have an impossible situation? You know the same

  790. God who enabled Abraham and Sarah to bear a son

  791. and an old age. He's the same god that can

  792. make your impossible situation possible. Man and Lord Lord, yeah, wah,

  793. you'd hey, Hey, he's eternally present, he's unchanging, and he's

  794. made a covenant with us. You know, through all our

  795. different seasons, we're going to go through all kinds of things,

  796. all kinds of changes the world is.

  797. I mean, there's so much happening in the world.

  798. We look at everything that's happening. You know, I think

  799. many can't sleep. But because we know our God is

  800. never changing, and he's with us. He's promised us and

  801. he's coming to take us home. He's going to take

  802. us home. But my question is do we have that

  803. personal relationship with him? He wants, he wants to have

  804. that relationship with us. Do we have that personal relationship

  805. with him? Are we ready for his return on the

  806. clouds or are we going to be? You know it's

  807. written there that they were more, and some of them

  808. were mourn when the world will see and they were

  809. mourn But I believe we want more. We, if we

  810. are close to him, will be rejoicing when we see

  811. him writing on the clouds and coming right.

  812. So are we ready for him? And Lastly, I don't know.

  813. I don't know, my Lord, my master, extreme extreme can

  814. come up.

  815. Is he truly your lord and your master? Is he

  816. really our personal lord?

  817. Not just the Lord, but my lord, my lord, meaning

  818. he is my king. I surrender to his principles, his kingship.

  819. Nothing in my life is mine. None of my decisions

  820. is based on what I want. But Lord, what you want,

  821. you will be done. Right your kingdom come, you will

  822. be done. Is he our Master?
