From Despair to Deliverance | Pr Ronson

We hope this message will light up your day.

My topic for today is from despair to deliverance, and

I'm going to take today's reading from the book of Ezekiel,

who is an Old Testament prophet. Now, when you read

the Old Testament, you realize that there is a distinction

between the major profits and the minor prophets. Okay, to me,

my simple definition of minor profits and major profits is

just this, minor profits. That chapters are very few, so

you've got AMers, have a cooke. Joel is all three

for seven chapters. Major profits because they carry such an

important and major messages like Isaiah Jeremiah. That chapters are

easily more than forty chapters fifty six and all right,

so Isekiel was a priest who was called to be

a prophet while Israel was in exile in Babylon. Yeah,

and when we talk about Babylon most of the time,

who do we remember Babylon?

Who do you remember? Just shout out a name? Sorry?

Who NEI very good? Who else? Daniel? Sorry? Daniel? Right?

God's judgment for the entire nation. Why, because the nation

has turned their back against God. They became wicked, they

were violins all around. There were idolatry worship even in

the temple. A lot of unrighteous acts were done during

that time. So God decided to raise the Babylonian empire

up to send judgment to Israel. So, in other words,

Israel's spiritual climate back then was quite dark.

Was quite dark? Right?

Many of you here you watch superhero movies. I think

Avengers x Men. No, okay, thing of a superhero movie

where the goods the bad. All right, So think about

this timeline, right, Daniel was in the palace, Isekiel was

outside of the palace most of the time. Ezekiel was

preaching to the Israelites who were in exile. God used

Daniel in the palace to influence system and structure.

Okay, So Daniel.

Is your typical marketplace person, easy kill is your typical

full time pastor profited who is not in the marketplace

but in full time ministry. Okay, So the Kingdom of

God is so wonderful that we need both, you know,

people who are in a full time marketplace and people

who are in the full time ministry. The people who

are in the full time marketplace cannot despise the full

time worker and say you don't know nothing. I am

in the marketplace, I'm earning big box. You don't know nothing.

Neither can the people in the full time ministry despise

the people in the marketplace and say you are of

the world. You know, stop being worldly, stop being this that. No,

that is not how God o praed, because scripture is

clear God planted Daniel in the marketplace for a reason.

Without Daniel, the entire government will not be influenced. Without Ezekiel,

the whole nation of Israel will probably not be able

to listen to a message of hope. I wanted to

start with this context because not everyone will be called

to the marketplace, and not everyone will be called to

full time ministry, because each of us have a unique

calling from the Lord. It's either marketplace or full time.

If you're called to full time, you will have the

grace all right to even succeed. If you are called

to the marketplace, you will also have that measure of

grace to succeed. And to the full time workers here,

I know in say we don't have a lot of

full time workers.

In fact, we have not zero. We don't have a

full time pastor.

I'm not even a full time past I have a

role in the marketplace, always job with people. The role

of a pasta is full time. Just that if you

talk about nine to six, nine to five. We are

attached to our role in a marketplace, right, so we

need each other the full time and the marketplace. So

Isaiah and Jeremiah actually prophesied many hundred years ago about

the situation of the Israelites. In Jeremiah, he prophesied that

for seventeen for seven zero years, people from Israel will

be captured and entered baby Long. In fact, it was

during a time where one of the king of Israel

decided to show off treasuries in God's temple right to

foreigners coming in, and the God was displeased, and the

prophecy came that the day will come where all these

treasures that you have shown off will be taken away

and will be put into a foreign land. So actually

fulfilled that prophecy. Now, why I wanted to start off

with this premise about the condition of Israel is because

in Deuteronomy twenty eight and levety Kiss twenty six, God

had already worn the Israelites that if they give themselves

to worship false God, or if there's persistent idol or three,

that will result a nation being plucked out from their

land and they will be scattered to serve their enemies.

With every scene, there is a consequence, So we shouldn't downplace. Hi.

God always gives his people that choice, the choice to

obey and submit out of that willingness and love, or

the choice not to. So every scene leads to a consequence,

and for the Israelites, unfortunate dias is being plucked out

of the land, being put into the land where they

serve foreign kings.

So the Book of Ezekiel is divided into three.

One is a judgment of Judah, where God's glory lives

the corrupt temple. In fact, during the time of Jesus,

you all will remember this. We all think that Jesus

is fun, loving and all, but you will probably remember

the scripture he overturned the tables that were selling merchandisers.

Not to say selling merchandis is wrong, but you have

to understand the context. Back then they were selling things

that chippen worship for the people. Then they make it convenient.

So it's not just convenient, they exploited it. So it's

as though that when you enter the temple, the animals

that you bring we won't take. You must only take

our animal, and you must purchase it from us.

So that's expectation.

So please, when you're coming to church next time anyone

sell anything, please don't overturn their table because.

There's a wrong context. Okay, guys, there's a wrong context. Ah.

So when Jesus overturned the table, it is in the

context of worship and how people choose convenience and expectation

over that. And whenever God pronounces judgment, God will always

pronounce hope. So it's not all doom and gloom when

judgment is pronounced. In fact, when you read the Book

of the Prophets, you realize that there's a lot of imaginery,

a lot of very duk things are being described. But

when you read clearer, you always realize there is always hope,

because that is our God.

He always gave us hope.

Now, in a book of easy Gil in chapter thirty seven,

it's a famous scripture where God brought Eazykiel out to

the value of the dry bones. Now, let me help

you to appreciate the gravity of the situation. Think about it, right,

It was a national crisis. Hey, many of you are

students here. We prayed for you for your final exam,

final project. Imagine you graduate and you secured a top

job already. But unfortunately the next day another nation come

and decided to take all of us captive and go

serve them Imagine you just got married. Before you enjoy

your honeymoon, another nation came and decided to take all

of us as slave to serve them for those who

are working. Imagine you celebrated your retirement, you collected your

money already, and then the nation came and decided to,

you know, take us all captives because of our disobedience,

because of a very seen that we have turned away

from God. It's not just turning away, you know, it's

like serving other gods. That's wickedness, that's unbelief. So the

entire nation couldn't see hope. When a nation who is

who is stronger than you come over and take hold

of everything. You lost your bank account, you lost everything.

You begin to question your own future. You begin to

question whether there is hope for this country. So it

was a very very dark time. They can't see hope.

So when God brought Ezekiel out in the spirit in

verse one, it says, the hand of the Lord came

upon me and brought me out in the spirit of

the Lord, and set me down in the midst of

the valley, and it was full of bones. Then he

caused me to pass by them all around and behold

there were very many in the open valley, and indeed

they were very dry. And he said to me, son

of man, can these bones live? So I answered, oh,

Lord God, you know you can underline that if you

want to. Old Lord God, you know what's for. Again,

he said to me, prophesy to this bones, and say

to them, all dry bones, hear the word of the

Lord pass, says the Lord God, to this bones. Surely

I will cause breath to enter into you, and you

shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring

flesh upon you, cower you with skin, and put breath

in you, and you shall live. Then you shall know

that I am the Lord. So I prophesy as I

was commanded. And as I prophesy, there was a noise,

and suddenly a rattling, and the bones came together, bone

to bone in need. As I look, the sinews and

the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over.

But there was no breath in them. Also he said

to me, prophesy to the breath. Prophesy, son of Man,

and say, to the breath, says the Lord God, come

from the four winds of breath, and breathe on this slain.

That they may live. So I prophesy as he commanded me,

and breath came into them, and they leave and stood

upon their feet, and a seemingly great army. Then he

said to me, son of men, these bones are the

whole house of Israel. They did say, our bones are dry,

our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off.

Therefore Prophesy sigh and say to them, pass, says the

Lord God. Behold, oh my people, I will open your

graves and cause you to come out from your grave

and bring you into the land of Israel.

Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

When I have opened your grave, all my people, and

brought you up from your grave.

Last verse fourteen, I will put my spirit.

In you, and you shall live. I will place you

in your own land. Then you shall know that I,

the Lord, have spoken it and have performed it, says

the Lord. So the Lord gave Isekil an image that

is depicting how the spiritual climate and condition was in Israel.

Dry bones, dry bones, And it ended with a.

Hope that they are going to be taken from this

land be brought back to their land. Not only that

God will put his spirit into them. Not the first

point that I want to share with us today is

how we see things matter. How we see our situation

matters because we are people who are not without hope.

We're all God's people. If you're a believer here, you

have the only spirit already in you. Right in fact

four things. Also, it's like a fulfillment of a prophecy.

I will put my spirit in you. And Jesus when

he was assended to the right hand on the Father,

he says, I will send the promise of my Father

to you. So when you believe in Christ, the only

spirit comes lives in you.

So how you see things matter.

So when I was reading the scripture, I was curious,

why did Ezekiel answered God when God asked him can

this dry bone slip?

And he answered, oh, Lord, you know, have you thought

about it?

Why the Ezekiel gave that answer because in a very

simple mind, if I literally ask y'all, can the dry

bones leave? Most you'll say, the ry bones, how can

they live? The most spiritual of us will say, of

course it can live. In God, all things are possible.

You see, if easy girl were to answer, Lord, these

bones can live, he will speak out of presumption. He

will jump the gun. He will not be able to

see things from God's lens. But he will to answer

it is impossible that these bones will leave. He will

speak about his unbelief. So his answer reflects that a

lot on spiritual maturity.

Lord, only you know.

So in our situation sometimes they are going to be

walley of dry bones, where the Lord often will present

us with a question like how he asks, ezekil, will

these dry bones live? I pray that our answer will

be like eazykill. Lord only you know, because by saying Lord,

only you know, it speaks about three things. Number one,

it is a surrender of our human logic. It is

a surrender of our own wisdom.

You know.

Wisdom and faith often clash, often clash. If Peter were

to go by wisdom, he would have chose to stay

in the boat rather than walking right and stepping out

of the board to step into the waters. Because why,

conventional wisdom will tell you sing. Of course you will sing,

little go and try and see you will sing. But

but Peter clearly heard from the Lord the word Peter, say, Lord,

if it is you call me, that may come to you.

So it is based on that word that Peter needed

to surrender his own logic, and logic got to submit

to God's word. So it also means that we need

to admit our limitation and it surrenders to God's will.

Because sometimes even when we pray, of course, we should

pray specifically, Lord, I desire this, I desire that, but

please always say, Lord, if it is your will. Or

sometimes we are so careless in our own prayer that

if we pray this particular prayer it doesn't turn out

like how we have prayed.

Who gets disappointed that we But if.

We always prayed the Lord, I may desire this, but

if it is your will, you'll make it to pass.

If it's not your will, a closed door basically just

mean the right door will be opened soon for me.

So old Lord, you know so the only spirit is

asking what is the walley of dry bones in your life?

Today?

That God is asking, my child, can these bones live?

Maybe the dry bones are found in your marketplace. Maybe

you're entering in your marketplace. You enter in your company,

you pray and you believe God for an open door.

God open the door for you, and you enter into

this company. And then when you begin to walk in

the company, you see a lot of challenges, a lot

of conflicts. It's hard to get things done, and you're wondering, God,

why did you place me in this value of dry bones?

Maybe even in your own family, maybe there are relational challenges,

maybe they are marital issues, maybe there are family issues.

And every time you go back to your own home,

you go back to your own house, you see dry

bones all around. Let me share with you that no

family is perfect. No family, every family, one day is

bound to go through relational challenges, every family or one

day go through conflicts. But it is how we see

our dry bones that matters. Because today God wants you

to know that every value of dry bones, even if

you see it as an obstacles, you see it as

a challenge. God sees as an opportunity for his glory

to come throue for you. Or if you know I

serve in Eli, my friends here who are working in

Eli into Nili Okay. Anyway, many years ago, we planted

the church in twenty ten. In twenty fourteen, I wanted

I think the church has done well but it was

In our first three years we were very strong. So

But when he hit four years, because students like a

your fifth years, six years, you always tell us that

you're trying to complete your studies, but the exam hasn't

been kind to you. But typical student cycle is three

years or four years. So a graduating badge gone, I

see that there's no fruits. I'm a very discouraged. Every

speak to you.

Right when he studied in Nelai Uni, he applied for

a green cart to go to America.

Right back then.

I'm not sure about now, but back then they say,

if you make it to America, you're able to leave

the American dream, all right. So he got the green

cart and he was at a stage where o, hey,

now it's getting real. Should I go to America or

should I stay in a place called Neelai which is

actually nothing much lie in Nearli.

We don't even have our cinema.

Back then, when they begin to build Mesa Hill, my

friends from Nearli, they put the first cinema there. Actually

it's not a cinema, you know, it's a Sydney plex.

And they don't show mainstream movie and they will show

the Indian movie for some reason, all right, probably the

Indian movies' is not found in the mainstream cinema.

And there's really nothing in Eli. And chances are if.

You're an African student back then, you will face a

lot of discrimination. A lot back then for some reason,

because not every students who come here and want to

study orso they'll do other hand ke and panky and

then the authorities will we'll try to do something. So

I always remember one day when I was just striving

for Congoli students in my car, I'm the only Malaysian

We were stopped at the traffic lights.

a god of Zambia is different from a God of Malaysia.

Those sometimes the language is different by the same God.

So based on that, he had a conviction, you know,

So if you're in a dry bones season, a dry

bone welly season, you're in a good place. Guys, you're

a very good place because the Lord is with you.

It is a spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing.

The words that I speak to you are spirit and

You see how Ezekiel prophesy to the dry bones. It

all came to life, and prophesy over the breath as well.

Now I want to share with you that in the

last days, Jesus says there will be many false prophets

that will rise up, and you have to know them

by their fruits. Christians shouldn't be so quick to be

wild by signs, wonders and miracles. You gotta be very

careful just because a person can heal someone, whereas like oh,

so very powerful that it must be a man of God.

You have to look at the fruit of the person

and not give because if you just identify the gift

of the person, it is very shallow. We will one

day all be judged by our fruit. So that's the

first point. The second one is, please do not go

from pastor to pastor, man to man and ask do

you have a word for me? Right, Please do not

go TikTok to TikTok, reels to reels, video to video,

selecting messages for yourself. All these are very helpful, right

in an Actually it's very helpful. I think every good

pastor will want to pray for you, encourage you. But

God has already given us his written word, and out

of his written word, he can birth revelation.

For your situation.

So if we're all you're going to seek a word

for your situation, you've got to take personal responsibility to

seek it for yourself. And that is true cultivating your

quiet time. We cannot be lazy Christians, guys. In fact,

I read the word of God whenever I feel this

and I want to encourage you to do the same

if the spirit leads you. So it was in a

year twenty twenty four. People have been asking, hey, per's answered.

You know, have you ever considered having your own pleaser?

Just like some money?

You know, you guys have been weekly doing weekly rental

Have you ever considered having your own place?

Say? I'm open to the idea, In fact, I do

really want, but the church must be redilar because whenever

we issue a call, hey guys, it's Saturday, who like

to vacuum the church?

How we are with an up LA because the idea

of having a place of our own is good, It's

really good. But it must be supported with good ownership,

and the responsibility cannot always be upon the leaders. It

should be every one of us come. So when I

was praying, I was open to the idea. I was

really open to the idea. And I felt that God

also have stirr up in my heart when he says, Uh,

build me a place where I can dwell. And this

is very personal because for many years we are subjected

to the mercy of the owner. Of course, God raised

owners up and all, and if the owners are failable

to you, great. You know what really impacted me also

is that when we wanted to start our kids ministry,

we just couldn't land on a venue.

So I just spraying to God.

And then you know, one day in nine January two

or two four, when I was reading the Life of Abraham,

this is what came out. A rise, walk in the land,

through its land, and it's with before I give it

to you. And that became that revelational with for me,

I contextualize it into Nila. I say that wherever the

Church of God is, whether you're a church, a B church, c. Whatever,

as long as you're church where God places you, you

are to take that land and take dominion over that

land to be sought. And like the Church exists to

church is not a building. The church is the people.

But God's people also need a place together to worship him.

People also need a place where His presence dwell come in,

minister and all. So I take that and I say

that God, this is the word. And it was also

twenty twenty four, right after COVID, right probably two years

after COVID and all, our church was still at a

place where where we're growing. We're growing, and there are

campuses that are you know, post COVID. Not many people

want to come back to church, and it's harder to

do ministry, it's harder to do outreach, it's harder to

work with campuses to have that open door. And most

of our campus numbers are not doing very well. One

particularly is IPG. We only left.

One student by the name of Crystal, one student.

And every week we have to faithfully pray, La pray, pray, pray,

and today IPG we have close to seventeen twenty students.

Praise God. It opens. It was in December twenty twenty four.

Then when I read the Book of Acts, God dropped

something into my heart. He says, you know where I

read how radically lives are transformed.

People didn't give up their land.

You know, they saw their land, they saw their houses,

and they brought it to the apostle's feet. And I

felt I resonated. I say it lot, Could it be there?

One day you raise people in Eli who will do

the same. They say, Hey, I got a piece of land.

You know, God has been so good to me. God

has transformed my life. I believe in the vision of

your church. Here take it. Wow, it is a fantasy,

you know, that's faith to believe. So I put there

Lord land for ex Neeli. Please, maybe you ask, please, cover, provide.

If you don't ask, please, maybe you're not not judge. Okay,

So I put it there. Joy four right fast forward

twenty twenty six. Right to say, as this too being fulfilled? No,

but I believe it is fulfilling.

Now.

The point I wanted to make is this, for prophecies

to come to pass, it is God's responsibility to fulfill it.

It is not our responsibility to manufacture it. Because if

you're to manufacture, if I say I go to every

rich person in Eli, it's done.

lead that, but if God doesn't lead, the best is

to stay and let God be God and let me

be faithful. Because His role is to make it happen.

My role is to believe that He will make it

happen for us, for his church. So last week it's

very exciting. Last week we got a contact. So someone

in the Subank Church has an uncle. The uncle is

doing something in Eli and past one the and CPC

wanted to reach out to this book ca failure to

do an unplucked event as an outreach. So we found

out connected. Then we found out where our church meets

currently a few blocks away. They have this grand plan

of putting an education institution there. They have a grand

plan of putting a spots complex there.

This is a it now, I thought, I say one that.

We need to be listening because not every door is

an open door from God.

But who knows?

This might be from God. We don't know, right, But

when I hear that, it excites my heart. I remember

Hear the word of the Lord.

These two scriptures give me the confidence I say the

situation you are in, right, it could be your family condition,

it could be a personal situation. You draw from the

easy for us either. I made that decision, but I

always remember back twenty fourteen, David strengthened himself in the Lord.

And you'll speak into that situation because only the word

of God can give us that life. Amen, So sex

in prayer. So you can't remember a lot of things,

just remember these two things. How you see matters and

how you speak matters as well.
