  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself,

  4. take up his cross daily, and follow me. So, if

  5. we are called to be disciples according to Jesus' standard, right,

  6. we have to do three things.

  7. We have to deny ourselves.

  8. We have to pick up our cross daily, not once,

  9. not once when you say your salvation prayer daily, and

  10. then follow me so more. That is the conviction that

  11. I have. I had when I was preparing this as well.

  12. So God was asking me, you want the power of

  13. the Holy Spirit. Are you doing this daily? Because if

  14. you're doing this daily, what does deny means? Deny means

  15. any thing of the flesh, any of your desires. You

  16. put it aside early in the morning. First first thing

  17. you do in the morning, you wake up. You're doing

  18. your devotion right. It's like, okay, God, today I want

  19. to deny my flesh. The second thing is take up

  20. my cross daily. Take up my cross. The cross speaks

  21. about putting to death. Putting to death. What do you

  22. put to death? You put to death your will? Not

  23. my will be done, but your will be done right

  24. our Father in heaven, Hello be their name. Die, Kingdom, come,

  25. die will be done, not my kingdom, Come, My will

  26. be done.

  27. Okay. So that's the second part.

  28. And once we do that, then we can openly there

  29. will be nothing stopping us from doing the third part,

  30. which is following Jesus. When we do this, then the

  31. power of the Holy Spirit will be able to move freely.

  32. In our lives. Okay. So next light.

  33. So this was the other verse which I shed. Why

  34. do we need to put to death our will? Why

  35. do we need to crucify our will? Why do we

  36. need to deny our flesh. It's because our flesh and

  37. the spirit our opposite ends of the spectrum. The flesh

  38. is you see, walk in the spirit, and you will

  39. not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh

  40. lust against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh.

  41. These are contrary to one another, so that you do

  42. not do the.

  43. Things that you wish.

  44. So if you do not put to death your flesh

  45. and you follow the flesh, it will be doing exactly

  46. the opposite of what the spirit wants you to do.

  47. But if you follow the spirit, you'll be doing exactly

  48. the opposite of what the flesh wants you to do.

  49. So that's why we have to wake up daily, deny ourselves, crucify,

  50. take up our cross daily, and follow Jesus. Then the

  51. spirit will be able to freely move. There will be

  52. nothing stopping the Spirit to move mightily in our lives

  53. and to use us. Okay, all right, So that was

  54. the recap of what I shared previously. Next, so today

  55. is led by the spirit, led by the Spirit.

  56. Okay.

  57. So this is a picture of the the Exodus, the

  58. pillow of Cloud and the Israelites following. So they were

  59. being led by God, led by the Spirit. Right next life,

  60. So this is the verse for today. For as many

  61. as are led by the Spirit of God, these are

  62. sons of God.

  63. Okay. So it says here.

  64. In Romans, as many as are led by the Spirit

  65. of God, these are sons of God. So it means

  66. if we are not being led by the Spirit of God,

  67. we are not sons of God because we are not following,

  68. you know. And on the flip side, it also means

  69. that anyone who follows Jesus or follows the Spirit of God,

  70. it is open to everyone.

  71. It is not open to a select few.

  72. So being led is not an experienced reserve for spiritual giants.

  73. It doesn't mean that only Graham or say Pasta Canada

  74. or big names in the faith are being led by

  75. the spirit.

  76. All of us.

  77. The Holy Spirit dwells in us. The Holy Spirit will

  78. lead us as well. It's only whether we want to

  79. follow or not. Okay, So next slide, So this was

  80. a question if you were in homes. This was a

  81. question that we were discussing. What do you think are

  82. the biggest things in our lives, in our culture that

  83. prevent us from genuinely hearing God? So how many of

  84. y'all were in homes? So any any thoughts? What is

  85. the thing that is genuinely preventing us from hearing from God?

  86. And he thought all of y'all are hearing from God

  87. right now, so you know from yeah, like tuning in,

  88. it is clear the phone, okay, phone is preventing us

  89. from hearing from God. Someone chat, GPT your agenda, okay,

  90. anything else? Business, Yeah, different priorities, children, wife, Okay, I

  91. will not go into dangerous territory right now. But but

  92. you can see right, you can see that right now

  93. there it is becoming even more and more difficult to

  94. tune into God to hear from God, you know, and

  95. all these reasons, if you look at it, they are

  96. they are real reasons. They are real reasons. You know,

  97. your phone, definitely, your business, different priorities and stuff like that.

  98. And one of the things is also is your agenda.

  99. So your agenda. Some of us we intentionally don't want

  100. to hear from God because you know, God will tell you,

  101. you know what God, you know, you do, you do

  102. a jonah, you do a jonah, you hear from God

  103. and then you decide to like, hey, let's not do that,

  104. let's do ighting. You know, so you intentionally don't want to.

  105. But if you are not hearing from God, how can

  106. you go where he leads you? Right, if you don't

  107. hear from the GPS, you will not and you don't

  108. see it. Right, If you can't see it, most of

  109. the time, you're not looking at the GPS low because

  110. you have to drive as well, so you're listening to

  111. the navigation prompts as well. Right, if you don't hear it,

  112. you won't know where to go. How many of you

  113. all have played the game where you're blindfolded and then

  114. somebody from across the room has to give you instructions

  115. to get to the other side. Right when you're blindfolded,

  116. suddenly your hearing is heightened, right because all your other

  117. senses are taken away. Right now, God has given us

  118. five senses, and all the senses might be distracting us

  119. from hearing Him. So I hope that God doesn't have

  120. to take away my senses for him for me to

  121. suddenly like be aware to hear him.

  122. You know.

  123. But what I'm trying to say is that right now,

  124. in this day and age, right there's another thing that

  125. is distracting us from hearing God. And one of that

  126. thing is it's called AI, Artificial intelligence.

  127. Okay, it's it's a real thing. You know.

  128. AI is omnipresent, is everywhere. AI is available twenty four seven.

  129. AI is very polite. A I will tell you what

  130. to do or a I will will never contradict you.

  131. You say one plus what you say? My wife say

  132. one plus one is too Oh your wife is right.

  133. You know.

  134. They will not like they will never like maybe my

  135. data is wrong. They will be like very polite and

  136. stuff like that.

  137. Right.

  138. I wanted to show you a picture next gay, So

  139. AI is this mushroom edible, yes, and then after that right,

  140. you're right, the mushroom was poisonous because the guy died. Really,

  141. you know, I'm sorry for the confusion. Would you like

  142. to learn more about poisonous mushrooms?

  143. And this is AI right in terms of it.

  144. So, but people are now they are looking more to

  145. the world. AI is just one thing, but they are

  146. looking to the world because they want answers faster. They

  147. want worldly wisdom or world godly wisdom. We are not

  148. willing to wait. We are not willing to sit in uncertainty.

  149. You know. We want the answers now, and we probably

  150. want what is the track record? If he has been

  151. done before? I think, what what? How have other people

  152. that dealt with it before? I will trust their experience

  153. and all these things.

  154. If we are not.

  155. Careful, it is causing us not to hear from God

  156. and then not to be led by the spirit. That's

  157. even as I was preparing this, I was like, how

  158. am I going to use SO I use? Yeah, I

  159. use AI, or use toolslot. All these are tools. But

  160. I have to check my heart and see whether a

  161. so I I came up with probably uh an indicator

  162. UH checked indicator to see whether I'm using it correct.

  163. Does this draw me closer to God or further from God.

  164. If it draws me closer to God, then I'm using

  165. it the right way. If it draws me further away

  166. from God and more independence instead of being dependent on Him,

  167. then I have to check my heart. So that's a

  168. gauge that I think God spoke to me about this.

  169. Isla all right, So this coming back to being led

  170. by the spirit. If we want to be led by

  171. the spirit, we had to hear Okay, next, so we

  172. have to hear the shepherd's voice. The shepherd's voice. The

  173. shepherd is the one that will be leading the sheep.

  174. So from John ten twenty seven, My sheep hear my voice,

  175. and I know them, and they follow me. The sheep

  176. they recognize the voice, they hear it, and that's why

  177. they follow the shepherd. So the spirit is always speaking.

  178. Spiritual maturity is learning the language well enough to hear

  179. what was always being said. So an example, right is

  180. how I mean. I might be jumping a few points,

  181. but we have to be able to recognize the voice

  182. the sheep. Right. Even you' all have a pet dog

  183. or cats will not listen to you.

  184. All right, forget about cats. Cats, they won't listen to you.

  185. But dogs. When you get a puppy, uh, and.

  186. The if you'll call his name and you call it,

  187. you will start recognizing the master's voice and come, okay,

  188. we may not be very familiar with sheep, so I'm

  189. giving you a more, giving you a puppy as an example.

  190. Same as our children, Same as our children. You're all

  191. same as your spouse. When you pick up your phone,

  192. if you're talking to your spouser, if suddenly just called me, hi,

  193. I'm jess, you'll be like, what what's wrong with you?

  194. Are you kidnapped? Or are you have a ransom or

  195. whatever it is, she'll be, hey, you pick up the kids?

  196. Really not real, you know, don't have to don't have

  197. to do validation KYC check icy when you last meet

  198. your credit card payment noon, because you recognize they recognize

  199. the voice immediately.

  200. Right, and the same way.

  201. The only way you can do that is by having

  202. frequent exposure. Right, you talk to this person over and

  203. over again until you can recognize the voice. You can

  204. recognize the style. Sometimes you recognize the voice, but the

  205. style the words coming out.

  206. Hey, this one.

  207. Looks that you're reading from a script. Is somebody holding

  208. a gun to your head and asking you to say

  209. something like this? You know, but you're able to recognize

  210. the voice. You're able to recognize the tone and the

  211. articulation and stuff like that.

  212. And the same goes to God.

  213. At the start, we may not be able to recognize

  214. his voice very clearly, but we have to constantly draw

  215. close to him, speak to him, and tune our years

  216. to him, and over time we will get more and

  217. more familiar and we will get we will be able

  218. to understand what he's saying and be led by him. Okay, next,

  219. so now this is another question. This was another question

  220. that during Holmes I think Elie and Jed who is

  221. in ex Kids, was sharing their testimony. So Jed had

  222. a very interesting testimony where God spoke to him six

  223. times in the middle of the night at two am,

  224. right or something like the Samuel story, you know, and

  225. the different things which God spoke to him was quite like.

  226. One of the things was asking him to go and

  227. take a bath at like three am or something. So

  228. if you want to know the full story, you can

  229. go and find out from him.

  230. But anyway, when when when.

  231. They were sharing this testimony, right, and then Ellie h

  232. Jed was telling asking Eliah, asking the mom how do

  233. I know whether it's God's voice or it's my voice,

  234. or it's somebody else's voice. It's a legit question, right,

  235. It's a legit question because this is a question that

  236. that usually comes up.

  237. Hey, we want to be led by God. So I

  238. have to hear.

  239. But now I hear, but I don't know whose voice.

  240. So how do I know where there is God's voice

  241. or my voice, or the devil's voice or somebody else's voice. Okay,

  242. So I just want to give you a few points. Again,

  243. it's not exhaustive, but these are some checkpoints that we

  244. can use to validate. Okay, let me Okay, So when

  245. it comes to the Spirit of God, you know that

  246. God is good. First of all, you have to understand

  247. the before this, like, go go back.

  248. It is just this.

  249. So the spirit of God is God is good. God

  250. is good. We know that he's good. He wants the

  251. best for us, He has a plan, he has a

  252. purpose for us. So you have to know the character

  253. of the three voices.

  254. First, who are they? Who are they?

  255. You know that God is good? Okay, So the spirit

  256. of God is good. So whenever he speaks, he is

  257. gentle and he is persistent. Right, his voice is gentle.

  258. He will never he'll never, will never be super in

  259. your face. He'll be gentle, He'll be persistent. He is

  260. always consistent with scripture. He's always consistent with scripture. Whatever

  261. is said in the Bible. That is what the spirit

  262. of God will be prompting you. The next thing is

  263. he always builds others up and points them to Christ.

  264. So God will never ask us to tear somebody down

  265. because God wants us to build people up and then

  266. to point them towards Christ. Another thing is he will

  267. produce when God speaks to us, if we can be

  268. in the midst of the storm, but suddenly, when he

  269. speaks to us.

  270. There is peace.

  271. Have you experienced that before you the situation didn't change,

  272. nothing changed in the toughest of situations. But suddenly when

  273. you hear this voice and says to you something comforting,

  274. it gives you peace. And then it calls us to

  275. be obedient specific sometimes very specific, and asks us to

  276. be obedient, and obedient is usually meaning we have to

  277. die to self.

  278. Right.

  279. It's very easy for a kid to obey if it's

  280. what they want to do. Right, When you always tell

  281. your kids, hey, obey, la means they are not obeying, right.

  282. So the Holy Spirit is asking us to obey.

  283. It's probably because we there's a struggle within us because

  284. we don't want to, okay, and so that is the spirit. Okay,

  285. how about the flesh. So the flesh is you know,

  286. the flesh. We are always looking out for ourself, self preservation,

  287. self preservation. I'm not sure if y'all have watched movies

  288. or whatever it is, right, like when it comes to

  289. no need movies.

  290. Let's take COVID nineteen.

  291. Like the during MCO time, During MCO time, right, suddenly, everybody,

  292. end of the world, what do we do? Stock up

  293. on toilet paper. I have no idea how that happens,

  294. how that helps end of the world. But suddenly, right,

  295. self preservation, you stock up on toilet paper, on bread,

  296. on eggs. Whether you can finish it or not, you

  297. don't care. And that is the flesh. Because you're always

  298. putting yourself first. So if the thought comes to your

  299. mind and says that, hey, put yourself first, don't care

  300. who you have to backstep to get to the top.

  301. That is the flesh speaking, okay, and usually you can

  302. justify it.

  303. It's okay.

  304. One everyone will be doing this. Everyone is doing this.

  305. So that is usually the flesh, okay, And it produced

  306. pride or shame, you know, as a result of doing that.

  307. Why do you have to justify? Because you know in

  308. your heart of hearts that is not the right thing.

  309. But then you decide to justify and you rationalize. I

  310. share this before you know, you know what, it's rationalized,

  311. rational lies. You know who you are trying to lie

  312. to yourself and you can convince yourself and yeah, you

  313. will easily convince yourself. So there's the flesh. And how

  314. about the enemy, the devil? When the devil speaks is

  315. to cast you into fear, into doubt, into anxiety, and

  316. to ask you and say that a. You are not

  317. worthy of God, God, you are sinner. God will not

  318. help you.

  319. You know. Is to put you in condemnation.

  320. And if you hear those kind of voices, you know

  321. it's the enemy because he is here to tear you down.

  322. So again the spirit, next line, the spirit. If I

  323. summarize it, the spirit draws us closer and transforms us

  324. to become more like Jesus. So if you get those thoughts,

  325. evaluate does this draw me and make me closer to

  326. become more like Jesus.

  327. If it is, it's the spirit of God.

  328. Second, if it drives us to us self preservation and comfort,

  329. you know, the flesh is comfort. You put comfort over conviction,

  330. then it is the flesh and the enemy drives us

  331. into fear, confusion, shame, guilt, and drives us into isolation.

  332. Don't go to church. You are not worthy, you know,

  333. and that is to draw you away from God. So

  334. this is one way that we can evaluate those thoughts

  335. in our head.

  336. Okay, all right, So the.

  337. So coming back to hearing God's voice, right I shed

  338. previously or so in the previous element. There are probably

  339. four stages where we can draw be led by God

  340. and draw closer to him.

  341. So next, So this.

  342. Is the cycle of sensitivity. We become more and more

  343. sensitive to God the more we listen to him, just

  344. like a puppy becomes more and more sensitive to the

  345. master's voice. We are the sheep to the shepherd's voice.

  346. We will become more sensitive the more we listen. So

  347. the first one is obeyed prompting. Second one is sensitive

  348. when we obey the prompting, you'll be prompted.

  349. Okay.

  350. When we obey that prompting, then our sensitivity increases, okay,

  351. because we listen. And then because we listen, now we

  352. hear more and more of God leading us. And we

  353. when we hear more and more God leading us, we

  354. are where he wants us to be more often than not.

  355. So he's he will the more we listen to him.

  356. In summary, the more we listen to him, the more

  357. he will use us, and the more he will position

  358. we are. We will be where he wants us to be.

  359. And that's when you will experience the power of the

  360. Holy Spirit. Okay, so if you listen to him less

  361. the inverse down there, Holy Spirit prompts you.

  362. You ignore.

  363. When you ignore, then you know, like like kids are

  364. you know, like kids? Right, you call them one time,

  365. they ignore, Then the mom keep on calling her suddenly

  366. cannot hear, you know, really can really cannot hear the

  367. voice because it's ignored prompting, ignored prom thing, you know.

  368. And then when ignored prompting, and then right suddenly spiritual dryness,

  369. like there will be a gap, you know, suddenly the

  370. mom doesn't feel appreciated. Uh, there is there's a communication barrier, okay,

  371. and because of that, it's powerless Christianity. So because the

  372. parent is always calling the child and trying to guide

  373. the child to be, every parent wants the child to

  374. become the best that he or she can be. But

  375. if the child continue usually does not listen, the child

  376. will not be where the parents aspire the kids to

  377. be because they decide to listen to other voices, which

  378. is probably the flash, you know, in terms of it.

  379. Okay.

  380. So it's the same that applies to us as well

  381. as Christians. So I wanted to give you an example

  382. of these four stages, a real life story from the

  383. Bible about this guy who followed these four stages. And

  384. then subsequently I'll give you another example of a guy

  385. who followed the inverse.

  386. And what happened.

  387. Okay, all right, so let's go. So the first one

  388. is next life.

  389. Okay.

  390. Stage one is obey the prompting. So who am I

  391. talking about is Peter? So if Peter, Peter is somebody

  392. that all of us can resonate with, right, Peter was imperfect,

  393. but Peter loved God and Peter still wanted to do

  394. his best.

  395. Okay. So let's let's take.

  396. A lesson out of the life of Peter. So from

  397. Matthew fourteen twenty eight to twenty nine, right, Peter walks

  398. on water. Peter was in the boat he saw Jesus

  399. walking on water. Instead of saying it's a ghost, He's like, Lord,

  400. if it is, you, command me to come to you

  401. on the water. And Jesus said come. So Jesus prompted

  402. and said come. How many of us would have stepped

  403. out of the boat, like, are you sure? I don't

  404. think so. My shoes not waterproof, you know. But Peter

  405. he obeyed that prompting. It was scary. Was he scary?

  406. There was no precedent of people walking on water before that.

  407. There was no precedent. The only precedent was Jesus walking

  408. on water. I didn't know that there was no precedent.

  409. But because Jesus is come, I say, okay.

  410. I'll follow the prompting. I will go.

  411. So when you ask Ai, sometimes right, AI is just

  412. taking the collective intelligence of what has been done. But

  413. God wants you to do more. God ways are higher.

  414. God's ways are better, and God has a different plan,

  415. you know. So if we are not careful and we

  416. don't listen to his prompting just because he hasn't done before.

  417. We don't do it, then we will miss out on

  418. God's miracles. The first thing, there was no precedent. Second thing,

  419. remember when he stepped out of the boat, then suddenly

  420. he started sinking. So it doesn't mean that we don't

  421. make mistakes. We do make mistakes. Although he followed Jesus,

  422. he made mistakes, but Jesus.

  423. Still redeemed him.

  424. Jesus still said he discovered the voice that held his way.

  425. So Peter discovered that if Jesus says come, I will

  426. come because I know his voice carries my weight. And

  427. then when he started sinking, Jesus just pulled him up. Right,

  428. Jesus didn't connect me, but Jesus just pulled him up.

  429. So this was the first part, followed the prompting. Okay,

  430. obey the prompting. So this was Matthew fourteen. Okay, next,

  431. so now you go to Matthew sixteen. So you know

  432. that Peter is already familiar with the voice of Jesus

  433. and voice of the spirit because when Jesus was on

  434. water and he says come, he listened, So he knows

  435. how the voice of Jesus sounds like.

  436. And then Jesus.

  437. Remember Jesus was asking people saying that Jesus was a prophet,

  438. He was Elijah, he was one of the prophets of old.

  439. But then Jesus asked Peter, who do you say I am?

  440. And then Peter answered, you are the Christ, the son

  441. of the Living God. So Peter had a revelation that

  442. Jesus was the Christ, the son of the living God.

  443. And what did Jesus reply, Flash and blood has not

  444. revealed this to you, but my father, who is in heaven.

  445. So as you become more sensitive to the prompting, God.

  446. Will reveal more and more to you that other people

  447. have no idea.

  448. Suddenly people were like, wow, how come this guy when

  449. he opened her so wise on.

  450. Where he gets this from?

  451. Wish tool? You using who you asking? You know, paid ocean,

  452. you say pro version. This is like the ultimate version,

  453. the paid on the cross version. So this, this revelation

  454. will only come the more and more we are in

  455. line with God and we are hearing his prompting.

  456. So this is the second stage, next stage. So when

  457. you're more and you hear.

  458. More prompting, right, God suddenly becomes a daily conversation with

  459. you already it's a daily conversation. So this was in

  460. the Book of Acts. So the Book of Acts. Peter

  461. was on the rooftop. He was spraying, and suddenly there

  462. was a vision. He had a vision, and in the

  463. vision there were lots of animals, and the angel told

  464. him to get up, kill and eat. But a lot

  465. of the animals there are non kosher. Non kosher means

  466. not halal for the juice la.

  467. At that time, you know. And then Peter was like,

  468. are you sure you know?

  469. But because he knew the voice, he knew that this

  470. was the Spirit telling him. And then when he woke up,

  471. the spirit said that the whole three men are seeking

  472. you arise. Therefore go down, go with them, doubting nothing,

  473. for I have sent them. Okay, if three people come

  474. to your house and suddenly say follow me, if God

  475. didn't tell you to follow them, don't follow them.

  476. Okay, just but this one Peter was very clear because

  477. he was sensitive.

  478. To the leading of the Holy Spirit. He recognized God's voice.

  479. So when God says, follow them, don't doubt.

  480. He went.

  481. And because he went, the Holy Spirit came upon the gentiles,

  482. and God was glorified in the gentles. So suddenly God

  483. was using Peter to do mighty things because from.

  484. Stage one.

  485. To listening and then obeying, and then now God is

  486. speaking to him more and more because God knows that

  487. he recognizes boys. And then the last stage next powerful Christianity.

  488. So this in acts chapter ten, verse forty four. While

  489. Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit fell on those

  490. who heard the word.

  491. Imagine this because probably Peter was speaking.

  492. Exactly what the Holy Spirit wanted him to speak, because

  493. he heard from the Holy Spirit, and he was speaking

  494. exactly what the Holy Spirit wanted to speak. And because

  495. of that, the Holy Spirit moved mightily and he just

  496. came across everyone. And then you see x five, verse fifteen.

  497. They carried the sick into the streets so that even

  498. Peter's shadow might fall on them as he passed. He

  499. didn't even have the lay hand his shadow. His shadow

  500. healed the sick. Isn't that powerful? And his shadow helled

  501. sick because that's what the Holy Spirit wanted him to do.

  502. Holy Spirit, Peter probably didn't know that his shadow was

  503. healing people. All he did is the Holy Spirit say

  504. go and walk this road. And he decided to walk

  505. this road and along the way. Because the sun was decided,

  506. probably the shadow fell on different.

  507. Ones people got healed. It's not because Peter. It was

  508. not the power of Peter.

  509. But it's because of the obedience of Peter, the Holy

  510. Spirit was able to move. So if we want the

  511. power of the Holy Spirit, we have to be able

  512. to listen to his prompting. Obey, and then God will

  513. speak more and more to us. And because he speaks

  514. more and more to us, we are going where He

  515. wants us to go. And because of that He will

  516. be glorified, and then our lives will be a testimony. Right,

  517. So this is the four stages. I want to show

  518. you the inverse right. The next The next was Samson.

  519. So Samson was also had the spirit of God on

  520. him from birth. He was a nasal, right, he was

  521. a priest. He was a priest, you know.

  522. But you see it. He slowly.

  523. If you threw out the Book of Judges, right, you

  524. will see that Samson gradually went, gradually went further and

  525. further from God. The first one he ignored the prompting.

  526. So the parents asked him to find someone, find a

  527. Jew and get married, but he insisted said, no, I

  528. want to marry somebody else. Unmarry somebody else, you know,

  529. probably somebody that God has not chosen for him.

  530. So he ignored.

  531. Once he ignored, and then you know he had multiple

  532. women and stuff like that and finally ended up with Delilah. Right,

  533. so you ignore the prompting stage two, you'll become less

  534. sensitive in Delilah arms. How many times did Delilah had

  535. to try and coax him to give the real answer?

  536. Three times around there, three four times. If you have

  537. the Holy Spirit in you, you'll.

  538. Know it's a trap. It's a trap.

  539. But because you're not sensitive to the Holy Spirit, you're

  540. turning yourself off the prompting like it's okay. One the

  541. flash you give into the flesh because you want the lighter,

  542. you want the forbidden fruit. You want something that God

  543. has not intended for you. So why the question which

  544. I asked earlier, right, why are you not hearing the

  545. voice of God? Is because you don't want to, because

  546. it's not what you want to hear. So he started ignoring,

  547. and because he started ignoring, reduced sensitive. Right then he

  548. said in Judges sixteen he cannot see it, or will

  549. not he will that he could not see that it

  550. was a trap or he just decided that it will

  551. it was not a trap, you know. And then after that,

  552. right in stage three, you because you are first you

  553. stop listening to God, your spiritman starts.

  554. To die and then he's like, God, where are you?

  555. But he didn't realize it because he did not know

  556. that God had departed from him. When Delilah cut his hair,

  557. the spirit of God departed from him, and he did

  558. not even realize. He did not even realize. He just

  559. woke up and he thought he's still strong. But suddenly

  560. he just found out he can't do it. So you

  561. won't even realize that you're far from God.

  562. And then.

  563. He got caught, he got blinded, and he became a

  564. grinder in the prison, you know.

  565. So it was also a gradual process.

  566. So that's why I told you the spirit and the

  567. flesh at two opposite ends of the spectrum.

  568. If you start following one, you will follow one all

  569. the way on towards the end.

  570. Okay, But there is a saving grace in Samson's story.

  571. The mercy of God was still on him because the

  572. hair on his head began to grow again in Samson,

  573. and that was the the That was how God shows

  574. showed that he was still with Samson. And then he

  575. Samson turned to God and said, God, if you are

  576. with me one more time, you know, and then he

  577. took down the whole temple and he killed more enemies in.

  578. His death than when he was alive.

  579. So it does not mean that once we reached states,

  580. for there's no coming back. We at any stage, we

  581. can always you turn at any stage. God is still good.

  582. All we have to do is say God, I need

  583. to turn back to you, speak to me and slowly

  584. tune your years more to.

  585. Him than the world. Okay, right, next, So.

  586. Even as I am drawing to as a close right

  587. Galatians five twenty five, if we live in the spirit,

  588. let us also walk in the spirit. So do you

  589. know that living in the spirit does not necessarily mean

  590. you're walking in the spirit. Living in the spirit is

  591. one thing. We also have to walk in the spirit.

  592. And the only way we can walk in the spirit

  593. is be able to hear the leading of the Spirit

  594. and then he will direct us. So, like what is

  595. mentioned here, Paul distinguishes living in the spirit from walking

  596. in the spirit. You can have life without doing the

  597. walk and Because of that, then you will have.

  598. A powerless Christian life.

  599. Which comes back to the question which I first asked,

  600. If I have the Holy Spirit in me, why don't

  601. I have the power of the Holy Spirit in me.

  602. It's because I'm not walking where he wants me to go.

  603. I'm not following his leading, all right, Probably get the

  604. band up next slide. So this morning, Church, even as

  605. I draw to a close, this is the last light.

  606. This is the call to action. The call to action

  607. is that the Holy Spirit is in us. Have we

  608. given him the authority to lead us?
