You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Today.
-
I just want to remind each and every one of
-
us that revival has a root. All right, Revival has
-
a root, and revival is rooted in a fall letter word.
-
Okay, Revival is rooted in rest.
-
If you have your bible's turned with me to the
-
Book of Isaiah chapter thirty, verse fifteen, and we're.
-
Going to read some scripture this morning. Is that okay?
-
Is that? Okay?
-
Revival is rooted in rest. Isaiah chapter thirty, verse fifteen. Hallelujah,
-
Praise to the Lord bless the reading of his word.
-
For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel.
-
In returning and rest, you shall be saved in quietness
-
and confidence shall be your strength. If you you want to,
-
we want to turn to another scripture. We turn to
-
the Book of Sums. We love the Book of Sums. Yes,
-
I'll get to that later. Right, we haven't revealed the
-
title yet, but the Book of Palms chapter twenty three. Okay,
-
how many of you are familiar with Psalms twenty three?
-
All right?
-
Psalm Stony three, one of the most read scriptures in
-
the Bible. But Psalms twenty three versus to the tree,
-
what does it say? He makes me lie down in
-
green pastures, He leads me beside the steel waters.
-
He restores my soul.
-
He leads me in the path of righteousness for his namesake.
-
Amen, Praise the Lord.
-
In Hebrew, the word restore, the word restore, it actually
-
means to return and to revive. In Hebrew, it's called chaff.
-
So God wants to shaft you. Yeah, God wants to
-
give you chaff. He wants to restore you. He wants
-
to restore you to a state where you were once
-
in love with him. But because of perhaps the business
-
in your life, maybe you have forgotten what true chaff
-
really means. But true shaft really really means. And some
-
of the kids are already asking, what's the title. What's
-
the title? Yes, that's the title that I have for
-
you this morning. It is rest. It is to rest. Okay,
-
it is to rest. And if there's a subtitle, it
-
is to find rest in the Lord. How many of
-
you this morning feel that twenty twenty six has just
-
been a bullet train?
-
Yeah, just don't stop.
-
Just assignment of the assignment for the students, just task
-
after task, just meetings after meetings. For the adults, can
-
I say this just church after church? Can I say
-
this just waking up after waking up? Is there a
-
purpurst to your life? And some of us we go
-
for holiday? How many you just went for holiday? Don't
-
put our hands praise the lot. It's okay, holiday is good.
-
But how many of you feel that sometimes you go
-
for a holiday and you need a holiday after the holiday? Wow,
-
praise the Lord. I went to Korea two years ago.
-
It's been two years, my dear. We have to go.
-
We have to go. We say we have to go
-
every year. We didn't go last year, and this year
-
is about to end, so we got to go. We
-
haven't got our flight diacats yet though, so so if
-
we don't vote, we will end up not going.
-
So thank you, all right?
-
So I went to Korea, and I came from Korea
-
feeling even more diet And the one thing that I
-
missed the most was Lasi lama. The one thing I
-
missed the most was the mama. I can't wait to
-
come back and eat the meggie going right. I don't
-
know how many of you here you are you're feeling
-
like I just can't find time to breathe.
-
You know, we leave in the world. Let me test
-
whether this is working.
-
It is working when you live in a world that
-
glorifies business.
-
Yeah.
-
The more you work, the more successful you are. The
-
less you work, the more you be perceived as lazy.
-
It's called the hustle culture. Yeah, I was just googling.
-
What's the gen Z term for this? Is it hustle culture?
-
Is it the gen Z? Maybe not?
-
You know, Huszle culture tells us do more, sleep less,
-
grind harder.
-
How many you can relate to that? A repeaterer?
-
Do more sleepless, grind harder. Social media celebrates the exhausted, Wow,
-
so much accomplishments, well done. But behind the posting is
-
a person that is devoid of ideas. Behind the posting
-
is a person that is lacking rests. There's lacking joy,
-
there's lacking sleep. What's the purpose of a full pocket.
-
If you can't be happy? Amen?
-
But God, even in the very first week of creation,
-
check this out. He paused, he rested, and he called
-
it holy. God called it holy. He done his work,
-
he done his creation, And on the seventh day he
-
took a pause not to do nothing. But if you
-
read the scriptures, he was looking at his creation and.
-
He called it holy. He called it holy.
-
He rested, So, why are many believers not working? Not working?
-
Not working? Yes, it's working. Now, why are so many believers?
-
We're talking to the believers in this house. If you're
-
not a if not a believer, you can relate to
-
this as well. Why are so many of you? Do
-
you feel that you're running on empty? I pray, I
-
pray that there are more people running unfold and empty.
-
But if that's you this morning, the Lord wants to
-
minister to you. Okay, if that's you this morning, the
-
Lord wants to minister you. Was it was in my
-
own life as well. I just reflected on my life.
-
Meetings after meetings, missing meetings, after meetings, after work. I
-
met someone and someone asked me, when when there's your
-
job end? Does it end at five point thirty? No,
-
it doesn't end, because the text messages comes after that,
-
the meetings comes after that, and it's just ministry after ministry,
-
and it just gets to a point where sometimes you
-
feel that, hey, where is this good ever going to end?
-
Yeah?
-
And many of us we run on empty because let
-
me bring it to you. We find it hard to stop.
-
We find it hard to stop. The truth is this,
-
most of us do not know how to rest. Can
-
I say this? Most of us do not know how
-
to rest. You may be wondering, a I tell you
-
what I'm sleep, king man, anyone asked me to sleep?
-
I can sleep the whole day on no problem. What
-
you mean? What you mean?
-
You don't I don't know how to rest. Well, let
-
me ask you a question. After the whole day of sleep,
-
do you feel rested? After that whole day of sleep,
-
do you feel rested or do you feel more retargic?
-
We confused rest with escape. We confuse stillness with laziness.
-
Sometimes we sleep so much we wake up we feel unproductive.
-
Then we go like, ah, why did I just spend
-
so much time? Because we confuse it, and in our ignorance,
-
we reach for the wrong remedies and we end up
-
even more drained than before. So today we're gonna look
-
at one word. We're gonna look at the word rests,
-
and we're gonna give you a key insight, a key thought.
-
There's a difference between feeling tired and being at rest.
-
You know, you can lie in bed all day and
-
never truly rested, and you can be in the midst
-
of the storm and be completely at rest with the Lord.
-
Amen.
-
You can be in the middle of the storm. Albert
-
was just sharing while he was ministering in worship. You
-
can be in a storm but yet be at peace.
-
You can be in the storm but yet walk on water.
-
You can be at a storm but yet put your
-
head on a pillow and just sleep. So there's some
-
circumstances and the surrounding the store dictate your rest.
-
Amen.
-
So we're gonna go, We're gonna we're gonna study that
-
a little bit more. Now there's a state that we
-
are all in, and we call this the state of restlessness.
-
How many of you have seen a restless person before?
-
My mom used to say your but God answer, cannot
-
stop moving. Yeah, that's why he said the black kuk. Yeah,
-
there's someone the black hung. I don't know what what
-
black Kang means, but there's a state that we're all in.
-
Sometimes we get into this state, the state of being
-
without rest. The other word that I can use is
-
the state of feeling anxious. Yesterday I went for a
-
bigger ball tournament. I was so anxious that I couldn't
-
sleep the whole night. But I woke up the next
-
morning feeling like I don't feel like I am at
-
nervous at all? Is there something wrong with me? So
-
I was just restless, right, anxious, unsettled. How many of
-
you feel have ever been in a state of being unsettled?
-
Right?
-
You don't know when the next job is gonna come.
-
You don't know when your boss is gonna call in
-
the room. You don't know when he's gonna say well done.
-
You don't know when he's gonna scold you, anxious, out
-
of the blues, Suddenly your manager say I wanted to
-
see you all of the blues. Suddenly Buzzcano says he
-
wants to see me?
-
Like, what did I? Why is it? Why is it?
-
Let me ask you a question.
-
Why is it that the first thought that comes to
-
a mind whenever your hire I wants to see you
-
is what I do wrong? Why is it? Why is
-
it that we think it that way? Why can't it
-
be I just want to spend time with you, and
-
I would just want to say well done, my good
-
and favle seven. You can you can you just picture that,
-
because when we see our father in heaven, that's the
-
sentences that we want to hear.
-
Well done, my good a fails said, So just impet
-
you with me, God calls you. What would you feel
-
in your heart right now?
-
Because if your heart is in a state of anxiousness,
-
in a state of restless, that means there is something.
-
That needs to be fixed.
-
Because if you are ready to face your maker, that
-
means your job here is done. Like how when Jesus
-
said it is done, it is finished, he is not
-
anxious to meet the Lord.
-
He's done. Amen. Amen.
-
So there's a state that we're all in, and today
-
we're going to find out a little bit of how
-
can we turn from a state of restlessness to a
-
state of being RESTful? Okay, RESTful? Right, that's where we
-
want to get in. We don't want to be restless.
-
We want to be RESTful, and that's our goal. To
-
be full of rest, to be saturated with it, and
-
to be all flowing with the east of God. That's
-
the only thing that will take us from the state
-
of restlessness to being RESTful.
-
A man, we're getting something into a church, all right.
-
So rest in the Bible, there's a Hebrew word for it. It's
-
called newark. It means to settle, to be still, to
-
be quiet, to be at peace. It is a rest
-
thing that settles, like a bird finding its brunch. You
-
know that I have a tree right outside my house
-
car park, and it's spanning a span of six stories
-
because my car parks on the fifth floor, and the
-
tree goes all the way.
-
And every morning, every.
-
Evening or every morning, when I go out to world
-
or comeback from world, I always go to that tree
-
and I always see the same bird over there with
-
the nests. A bird that finds a tree is at
-
rest because he found his home.
-
He founds his nests.
-
But we are the one who will and take the
-
nest and make bird's nests hallelujah. I don't know what
-
to say about that, but it's like a bird finding
-
its brunch. In Greek, a little bit more familiar to us,
-
the word pause and our pauses. It's a refreshing pause.
-
It's not the absence of activity. Catch this friends, resting.
-
It's not the absence of activity, yeah, but the presence
-
of a divine replenishment that means you can be in
-
work by yet be refreshed in the name of Jesus.
-
So don't just always sick for holiday, Yeah, but sick
-
for the holy day in your life. Yeah, sick for
-
the Holy One in your life. He's just saying he
-
is holy. He is the only one that can bring
-
us rests. This thing works intermontently. Yeah. I just pressed
-
it twice. I don't know whether I went two slides past. Okay,
-
no one I to point it at the point is okay?
-
Point one?
-
All right?
-
So some study seven seven in the ESV version in
-
English Standard version says be still before the Lord and
-
wait patiently for him. Thread not yourself, over the one
-
who prospers in his way, over the man who carries
-
out evil devices. Now to point three, uh, statements to
-
you before I go on. It's underlined. The first one
-
is to be still?
-
Can you see that?
-
Little cute? Further says stop right, So what's the what's
-
the methods to finding rests? This is an introduction, okay,
-
and then went to the meetiate be still. That's the
-
first thing that we should do when you want to
-
acquire rest in the Lord. That's the first thing that
-
you should do to be still. Take a pause, like,
-
how God paused and admired his creation, and he called
-
it holy.
-
So if you are.
-
Running on empty, you are running this rag race of
-
just non stop moving. The first thing that we should
-
do is to pause. And what pause, what pauses does
-
is it cause you to brief. Yesterday, when I was
-
in the middle of the tournament, right we were just
-
playing and I was just going all out, and I
-
just reminded myself that, hey, if I want to go further, I.
-
Need to pause.
-
Stop trying to go, go, go, go go. And sometimes
-
we retreat our Christian faith that way as well. We
-
just keep going and we do not stop to hear
-
what God is saying to us. Right, be still before
-
the Lord. The second thing that we should do is
-
to wait. Sometimes we ask God today, we want to
-
answer yesterday. And because God did not answer you in
-
one day or two days time, you say He's not
-
there for you and he's not hearing us. But to
-
be at rest, it's also to know that way thing
-
is part and parcel of the rest. To trust God's
-
timing even when you cannot see the way. And finally,
-
the last thing that I underline over there is the
-
picture of someone who is anxious. I don't know whether
-
you can feel his anxiety, but it's not to thret
-
is to refuse anxiety, to reject the temptation to envy
-
or fear what others are doing.
-
Amen. So I got a slide. You can take picture
-
because it's very long.
-
Yeah, I don't think you can ever finish it before
-
I move on. But what rest is? What rest is?
-
You can't hear my voice? What rest is? Rest is
-
let's go through a list, Okay, trusting God with the
-
outcome of your situation.
-
Amen. I think be quiet?
-
Yeah, entering the presence of God and remaining there. Some
-
of us like to enter the presence of God and
-
when we are done, we find the exit. Res is
-
choosing peace over panic, face over fear, stillness overstriving. Rest
-
is a spiritual discipline, something you practice and grow in. Yeah,
-
sometimes we want to acquire rest, but we're not willing
-
to practice what is needed to acquire rest. But pick
-
up all we can practice almost every day, but rest
-
we don't want to practice. Rest is the confidence that
-
God is working even when you cannot see it. Rest
-
is the sabbath. What is the sabbath? Setting apart time
-
that is wholly separated for God. Now this is the
-
important one. What rest is not because some of us
-
we have a very very do you have an idea
-
of rest, But let me just debunk itto you.
-
Rest. It's not laziness or spiritual passivity.
-
It's not being lazier because sometimes we just today I
-
just don't feel like doing anything badah bah. Rest is
-
not escaping your problems through entertainment or distraction. I want
-
to rest. Let me find something to entertain myself. Let us,
-
let me find something to distract myself from what is
-
happening at work, from what is happening in ministry.
-
I need a rest.
-
Rest is not ignoring your responsibilities or becoming irresponsible that
-
it's not rest for some of us, like for example,
-
myself when I went to career. Rest is not saying
-
Rachel and the church is yours for two weeks, do
-
whatever you want to do. Don't call me, don't text me.
-
Whatever happened. As long as the beauty is not burned down,
-
don't call me.
-
That is not rest. You still have the response, how
-
many of.
-
You feel as a doctor during your annual life, you
-
can say, guys, I'm doctor, but during my lever, don't
-
call me there wasn't going through hard go and find
-
the other doctor. No, it's your patient. You know what's
-
happening to him. You're gonna drop everything that you have.
-
That's why it's called an on call button.
-
Right.
-
I believe Andrew will have an on call button. I
-
don't know whether you can fly all the way the
-
Saba now, but uh yeah, but there is something called
-
on call button, and you have to be ready.
-
Right. It's not withdrawing from your responsibility.
-
This one very important rest is not slipping in and
-
calling it. But it is not slipping it and calling
-
it the Sabbath. Oh, our God rested, so therefore I
-
can rest as well. So on the seven day he rested.
-
So therefore the seven day is the Sunday, and fy
-
is not. It's actually a Saturday. But I'm gonna rest,
-
and I'm going to call it the sabbath.
-
Rest. I can skip church. I have I introduced my
-
own subura.
-
Right.
-
Rest. It is not withdrawing from community.
-
All the introvert people in the house say amen, because
-
God created community. Do you know the first community that
-
Jesus had, the twelve disciples, that was his community, And
-
what did they do? They broke break together, they ate together,
-
they did life together, they walked together, they learn together,
-
they sleep together. I shall not go on, but that
-
was the first community. That and if it's not important,
-
why did he teach us the concept of the twelfth
-
So introverts in the house. It is not an excuse
-
to say that I am born and introvert because you're not.
-
Did you know that you are never born and introvert?
-
You actually developed into an introvert because of your choices.
-
You choose not to talk to people from young You
-
choose to remain comfortable. But yet God is calling each
-
and every one of us to be brave and to
-
be courageous. If we are introverts, how are we going
-
to share the good news? So do not use it
-
anything excuse I'm not putting any introverts down here because,
-
by the way, f y.
-
I, I myself am an introvert.
-
Okay, I really better drain after today when I go back,
-
which all of you can all see, trust me, I
-
will cong on the on the sofa, trust me, and
-
my cat will still on my face. Res is not
-
binge watching, scrolling, social media, doom scrolling, or numbering yourself.
-
That's not rest Okay, that is not rest.
-
So we're gonna go into the four pillars, the four
-
points of rest.
-
I hope I covered that.
-
And we're gonna go through a little exercise and I'm
-
gonna bring this white board out because friends and family.
-
I actually got this message in a dream, so world,
-
wow wow, Okay, thank you Rogers and Nah Elijah, thank you.
-
So this was a dream that I had, and I'm
-
going to explain it a little bit further, but just
-
have this picture.
-
I was dreaming, obviously, and I and.
-
I and I saw a cross, Okay, I saw a cross,
-
and in that cross, all I could see was a
-
picture of a serpent. Okay, it's not as cute as
-
this snake. Thank you Elijah for for drawing this snake.
-
If it's this cute, then I would not have been alarmed.
-
But it was a very it's anaconda, very big snake
-
that was circling around across.
-
We were just circling around across.
-
And in that in that dream, that snake can circle
-
and not be on the ground, and it can like
-
swove swirl around across. It was circling across and in
-
my mind, I was just very disturbed. I was looking
-
at it, and I woke up. That's all I had
-
right across, a picture across and a stink that was
-
circling around. And in that season, I was also at
-
a state of restlessness. There was a lot going on
-
in my life. There was a lot going on in ministry.
-
There was a lot of decisions to make, There was
-
a lot of responsibilities on my plade, and there was
-
a lot of problems that were just I will not
-
good delve to do it. But I was in a
-
state of restlessness, okay, a very anxious state, a state
-
of like when is this going to end? And I
-
got that dream picture of a cross and a stink
-
that was encircling it. Now I'm just gonna turn this.
-
Help me turn this away so that it doesn't distract
-
anyone here. Just turn it, yeah, facing, yeah, all right,
-
So that's the dream, and it would make sense a
-
little bit more lyto Okay, So I'm gonna give you
-
the four points of rest and see how each one
-
can be a pillar. Remember, the goal is to get
-
in from a state of restlessness to a state of
-
being RESTful.
-
That's the goal.
-
So the first point, in order to get from a
-
state of restlessness to be RESTful is that we need
-
to renew our mind. Amen, we need to renew our mind.
-
We're gonna give you the points in the acronym R eest.
-
We need to renew your mind. In other words, we
-
have to find a place to reset our mind, to
-
refresh our mind, and to revive our mind.
-
Amen. Romans trail.
-
Versus two tells us this, do not be conformed to
-
this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
-
The world programs us for business performances, right and anxiety,
-
but God calls us to rest. Jeremiah six sixteen is
-
another verse that I love is say, stand in the
-
ways and see and us of the old paths, where
-
the good way, and walk in it.
-
Then you will find rest for your souls.
-
The scripture is essentially saying to us that if you
-
want to find rest, look in the ways of the old,
-
the ancient ways. How it's done. What did Jesus do
-
in the midst of the storm? How did he find rest?
-
What did Elijah do? What did Elijah do? What did
-
David do when he was in a state of despair?
-
What he did he do? He sang unto the Lord?
-
What did Moses, do look in the ways of the Old. Pause,
-
pause for a moment. Take a look at your own life. Yeah,
-
and pause and look what is happening.
-
In your own life.
-
Okay, I am struggling with my exam results, or I'm
-
struggling with a business deal, or I'm struggling with a
-
very bad boss. Look in the ways of the Old.
-
So let's say you're struggling with a very bad boss.
-
Look at the ways of the Old. Look at Moses's
-
story and see how he struggled with Pharaoh, and what
-
did he do with Pharaoh? What did he do? Find similarities? Right,
-
and see and ask for the old pasts. That means,
-
if you can't relate your current situation to what's happening
-
in days of old, ask the Holy Spirit revealed to
-
me and I can. I can assure you this that
-
there is not one situation of circumstances that is not
-
recording the Bible that you're going through right now.
-
You are not dead special.
-
Yeah, and let me rephrase that, your situation is not
-
dead special.
-
Yeah, you are special, but your situation is not that special. Right.
-
A lot of days of Old people, they're so we
-
are surrounded by so great a call of witnesses that
-
are cheering us on. They are saying that, hey, I
-
tell you what, Daniel, I have been in the lines
-
then too literally, Daniel, come on, I've been in the lines,
-
then should mission it go?
-
Come on, I've been in a fire.
-
You you think that your situation is fire. I was
-
in the fire. I was about to be burned to
-
crips the olden day air frier. You know nowadays we
-
like friers. Right, they were their friar. They're being burned.
-
What did Jesus do? He came in the midst of them.
-
And if they can acquire the peace of God, which
-
is Jesus, the Son of God, in their midst, then
-
you can acquire that as well in your state of
-
being in the fire.
-
Amen.
-
Because it can be done for them, it can be
-
done for you as well. And what does it say
-
you find out the ways you walk in it?
-
Amen? You walk in it means what you act.
-
On it, You believe in it, you have faith that
-
if it can happen for shared mission when ago, it
-
can happen for you as well.
-
Amen. Praise the Lord.
-
So the Lord is telling his people stalk, look back,
-
ask for the ancient ways. Yeah, the powers of faith,
-
surrender and have community with God. This like says how
-
to renew your mind? So how to renew your mind?
-
Let me give you some steps A bit small.
-
Sorry.
-
You renew your mind daily true reading the world of God. Children,
-
you open scriptures daily. You read the Bible because if
-
you don't, maybe you should.
-
You should.
-
Maybe parents can start to read scriptures with your children daily.
-
They'll be nice. Open the Word of God.
-
Parents and children alike study together one verse, two verse right,
-
blessed ah the meek. It's like, oh, I feel so
-
so poor today, but blessed the poor. It's okay to
-
be poor, right, It's okay. It's okay to rely on
-
the Lord. It's okay. Right, So renew daily to the
-
world of God. Let scripture rewrite the narrative in your head.
-
You think that the world is saying this about your situation. No,
-
Let the world of God saturate your hearts, your soul,
-
and your mind. Identify and cuts down anxiety, comparisons, and control.
-
It is found in Second Corinthians ten to five. Have
-
no time to turn to it, but if you want
-
to write it down you can. But you identify them
-
how many of you do this actively in your life?
-
You identify the lies of the enemy, and you say,
-
sit down and talk to my boss. Anxiety has no
-
control over you.
-
Darkness have no control over you. Amen.
-
How many of you have identified situations in your life
-
before and you go like, this does not belong to
-
the Lord, therefore it has no hole over me. Cast
-
it down in the name of Jesus, Amen, cast down,
-
cast it down. Practical use gratitude. How many of you
-
do that? How to renew your mind? You got to
-
practicalue gratitude? How many of you do that?
-
Right? How many of you actually practice it?
-
Like you go like, wow, God, you are actually so
-
good to me. Greateful mind is a rested mind, Amen.
-
A grateful mind is a rested mind, because if you're
-
not grateful, you're constantly thinking, why is this person saying
-
this about me? Why this person never say thank you
-
to me? This morning? I bought him coffee? He never
-
bought me coffee back? Because your mind is just constantly thinking.
-
But if you are you have a mind of gratitude,
-
you go like, wow, this morning, I could have walked
-
up four stories, but yet the person came and repaired
-
the lift.
-
In time for all of you to come out U
-
saying the lift.
-
But if you didn't practice that mind of gratitude, you
-
go like, why didn't the lift get repaired in time
-
for me? Because I had to walk out four stories
-
or poor me? Yeah, but being being filled with gratitude
-
is to say that, hey, at least the leaf is
-
working for others.
-
Amen.
-
You see, when you start to practice having a mind
-
of gratitude, you start to see that things are not
-
dead after all, and that's how you renew your mind.
-
Turn off the noise, friends, family. My wife always tell
-
me this, but I don't really practice it. Turn off
-
the noise. Turn off social media, right, turn it off. Literally,
-
the news endless. Sometimes I tell you what all you
-
have to do to find peace with what's happening in
-
the Middle East, Just turn it off.
-
To turn it off.
-
Because the more you watch, the more you start to reason,
-
the more you start to add your morality into the story,
-
the more you start to add your understanding the story
-
and go like, ah, how come you feel like that?
-
Wanna the more you try to understand, But it's the
-
peace of the Lord, that's the purses all understanding there
-
will God your heart and mind true Christ Jesus, so
-
turn it off and finally my wife as good as this,
-
Maybe not so much me. Recently, I've been trying, but
-
sometimes I kind of read my whole handwriting. So I
-
thought that in another life I'll be a doctor. Okay
-
I'm not, but J down, journal, down what God has
-
spoken to you? How do you think I get my messages?
-
Do you think that I get scheduled?
-
And I go like what to do to preasure?
-
I used to do that loud when I was when
-
when I just started preaching. But recently, whenever the Lord
-
speaks to me, like, for example, this dream, his dream
-
was not recent now, by the way, this dream was
-
in January. Okay, I didn't know what it means. The
-
sting was just circling the cross for five months. And
-
finally I now know what it means. Jo, No, now
-
what God has spoken, what he has done. This is important.
-
If you don't do this, I encourage you to practice it.
-
Whenever God blesses you, write it down, whenever God bless
-
you with thing right down, and you can call it
-
the book of blessing.
-
You open it and you go like, actually, God blessed
-
me so much.
-
House car, money, clothes, children, health, Japan, Chorea?
-
Sorry, did I step on anyone? Japan? Corea? Let me
-
your end to Japan, Corriola.
-
Who Sally, you realize that I actually have so much
-
that God has given to me. Children, You have so
-
much right that God has given to you. Your good
-
parents agree you man pras alive Isaiah, Isaiah.
-
I don't know where? Okay, real Oh your mother? Let
-
you go to camp? Oh you're right there.
-
Sorry, Sometimes I be blind, and uh, the ballers are
-
gonna see.
-
Thet you go to cam.
-
Do you think do you think? Do you think that
-
they are not anxious? I think they Yeah, it's gonna
-
be okay, it's gonna be okay. Mommy with daddy, it's
-
gonna be okay, Daddy and it's gonna be okay. Right,
-
it's gonna be okay. Michelle is very thinking. Oh but
-
one day Norah, okay and five more years las a
-
long way to go?
-
Wait? How old is Laura? Oh?
-
My?
-
Seven five more years four? Okay? Uh? So journal, now
-
what God has We're done for you?
-
Right?
-
Amen?
-
That's how we renew our mind. Isaiah twenty six to three.
-
Isaiah is a wonderful name. You know Isaiah great prophet
-
as well. Twenty six three says you keep him in
-
perfect peace. Whose mind is stayed on you? Remember this verse,
-
but I kind of preach it a while ago. Right,
-
His mind is stayed on you because he trust in you.
-
The perfect piece, the Shalom Shalom, the double piece is
-
a promise of the Lord for a mind that is
-
fixed on God. We'll give you some warning signs. Thank
-
you XTV for helping me. I forgot the press.
-
Willing to give you some more signs that your mind
-
needs to be renewed.
-
Okay, this is some warning signs, so you say, actually,
-
this will not epigirl to me. So look at the
-
birth and see if any of this applies to you.
-
Okay.
-
You cannot sit in silence without reaching for your phone.
-
Some of you now are fighting the urge to reach
-
are your phone to do what I don't know, to
-
scroll and to refresh some Facebook social media for what.
-
By the way, when I appreciate you, I appreciate myself
-
as yah.
-
Yeah, because sometimes I refresh your feeder I don't know
-
for what, and I just found out yesterday when I
-
refresh the feed that honest thought will sacked my little bool. Yeah,
-
and that was my reaction to yes, but you should
-
shall We should never wish a downfall on anyone. He
-
lost a job, Okay, just think about it. He's a
-
human too, he lost a job. Yeah, but he will
-
find on. But you cannot see it in silence without
-
reaching for your phone. Your thoughts are dominated by worst
-
cases theres dominator in everything you look at, I your
-
sure die on dominator. You are comparing yourself to artists constantly. Hah,
-
this is some warning signs. I'm not saying that you're
-
there there or doom date. No, no, no warning sign.
-
It's like syndom, syndom right about to get sick. Okay,
-
you comparing yourself to artists constantly? You feel anxious even
-
though nothing is wrong.
-
Are you today? Why the bird you're bringing me today?
-
I got rainbow. Some people look at rainbow and they say,
-
what's the president of God? But in the promises of God?
-
Right? But some people look at rainbow. You work rainbow.
-
You cannot sleep because your mind will stop.
-
That was me like yesterday. You cannot sleep because your
-
mind cannot stop. It's just constantly processing information. Right, So
-
this is some warning signs that you're You're mind needs
-
a refreshing, needs to be renewed. Second pillar that I
-
have for you is the point Emmanuel r e Emmanuel.
-
What does Emanuel mean God with us? Emmanuel means God
-
with us anyone named Emanuel. Here the good Namer Rachel.
-
By the way, don't read too much into that. And
-
here's the truth. There is no true rest without the
-
presence of God. There is no true rest without the
-
presserence of God.
-
You can lie on the beach in Bali.
-
But I put Bali because I'd never been to Bully
-
and I really loved the beaches, and I really loved
-
the oceans, and it's my dream the one day just
-
lie down flat on the sand. And I then realize
-
that actually it's not that comfortable, like now saying, but
-
you can. You can lie down, you can sit down
-
in the silent room. You can take a week off work.
-
But if God is not in it, it's not a rest.
-
It's just a pause. Sometimes now you wonder how come
-
you can take a long break, but yet do not
-
find rests because in your break you forgot Jesus.
-
In your break, you.
-
Forgot to say grace before males in your break, you
-
forget wish Jesus good morning. In your break, you forget
-
to do your devotion. How many of you do devotion
-
in Korea? Because I'm really inspired by bassa kind of
-
whoever he is at even he went to Santnila wherever
-
wherever I went recently for a youth old night. Please
-
don't kill me Pasta for revealing this. But I went
-
out early to find a bathroom to bath to do
-
my business. I went down, and I tell you what,
-
I got scared out my wits and I went down.
-
I saw this figure just like sitting down there brace
-
in the Lord, this fourth the tham in the morning.
-
But way I saw it live in action. Yeah, he
-
was just and I was just I don't know what
-
out Hello.
-
You?
-
No, I didn't know because he was just so he.
-
I think he didn't realize I was there because he
-
was just so fixated on the lot. There was in
-
his rest, by the way, just there was a meeting,
-
but he was in the rest.
-
Right.
-
If God is not in it, it's not rest, It's
-
just a pause. Moses understood this too in exerta study
-
tree for things. God said to him, my presence will
-
go with you, and I will give you rest. My
-
presence will go with you, and I will give you rests.
-
In another scripture, he actually said to the Lord Lord,
-
do not allow your presence to pass me by. I
-
want it, I desire it, desire God's presence. The rest
-
was attached to the presence the friends and family where
-
God goes rest ghost. So you want rest, follow God.
-
That's how you find rests. Amen, that's how you find rest.
-
Come to me, all who you, all who labor and
-
a heavy laden, and I will give you rests. Does
-
he say, depart from me? M Does he say depart
-
from me? Jesus only said depart from me to Satan.
-
But to us he says. Come to Peter he said,
-
come to the disciples, he said, come follow me. He says,
-
come all, all friends, all who labor and a heavy laden,
-
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
-
you and learn from me. And for I am gentle
-
and lowly in heart. For you will find rest in
-
your souls. Rest is relational, friends, It's coming to a person.
-
It's coming to a person, not a method. Yeah, some
-
of us like to say, if you want to find
-
rest at this, this is this this, This is what
-
you should do. It's not a method. It's not a method,
-
it is not a formula. It is found in the
-
presence of Jesus Christ. Amen.
-
That picture there is the picture of a yok.
-
When I was growing up, whenever they say take my yoke,
-
I'm thinking, like, why why take the yo? It's not yeah,
-
f yi, children, it's not ig yoga. Yok is actually
-
something that they put on the goats, yeah, on the
-
on the sheep, yeah, the bulls. Yeah, so that they
-
are tied together, not tied together, are bound together.
-
They have to go straight.
-
If one one bull, they don't do on the move
-
they are the bull move what they would do go
-
in circle? Yeah, So in order to move they have
-
to move together. That's what a yog is, okay, not egyo.
-
If I you're doing not ig yo, okay, don't think
-
God's egyo.
-
Okay.
-
It is a partnership Jesus saying. Jesus is saying, let
-
us carry this together. So imagine with me being yoke
-
to Jesus means to carry something together of Jesus. Let's
-
carry this together. Because he's young is easy, He's burden
-
is light. Amen, he's young is easy, It's.
-
Burden is light.
-
We're gonna go into a little bit of how okay,
-
so we find out that yes, we're gonna find rest,
-
and in order to find rest, we must be in
-
His presence. But how can we cultivate the presence of God?
-
How can we cultivate the President of God? The first
-
thing that we can do is to worship. Worship is
-
not just men on Sundays. Okay, worship extreme extreme, any
-
extremests in the house. It's not just men for Thursdays.
-
If you know, you know, do not just cat on
-
Thursday to worship, because worship starts long before that extreme.
-
I'd like to remind you that.
-
Worship starts long before the worship leader gives the song lists.
-
Worship starts in your own room. Worship starts in your
-
own life. What are you doing in that week, what
-
are you doing in that month? That's how worship is.
-
It's a lifestyle. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and
-
into His course with praise. Amen extremists, but not just
-
talking to extremia. Extremists. Our worship ministry band in next church.
-
By speaking to all of us, you worship God, you
-
cultate the presence of God. You worship him, you pray
-
not just a two do list, friends, but a conversation.
-
Speak to God. Listen, be still. Read the word.
-
When you read scripture, I'm actually giving you a guide
-
on how to actually do your quiet time.
-
Yeah, read the word. Read scripture.
-
You.
-
When you are reading scripture, you are actually sitting with God.
-
Did you know that? Did you know that?
-
Because what is this? It's the living inspired Word of God.
-
It is the Word, and the Word was with God?
-
What was God?
-
You're speaking, you're leaving, You're you're with it. You cultivate
-
the presence of God by also honoring the Sabbath. What
-
is honoring the Sabbath is essentially somethings aside time to
-
look at His creation and call it holy. That means
-
you look at what He has done for you from
-
on Monday to Saturday, and you say that I'm coming
-
to church. I'm coming to church, and I'm going to
-
give God all glory for what he has done.
-
Children.
-
Maybe you've been to school and teachers have given you
-
a tough week, right, but yet you are alive and
-
you're well. You're coming to church and you're saying that, Hey,
-
thank God. Amen, she's just trying to remember the children.
-
Yeah.
-
And finally, community, that's how you cultivate the presence of God.
-
Community irons sharpens iron.
-
Amen.
-
Being with God's people invites his manifest presence. Some sixteen
-
eleven says this in your presence is fullness of joy,
-
and your right hand are pleasures forever more joyfulness, pleasure.
-
These are the fruits of His presence, Amen, And they
-
are environment of true rests. That is my cat right away.
-
My cat is at true rest whenever she is with
-
the Master. Yeah, see how whenever that's not when I'm
-
not at Homer, me and Rochelle. When I at home,
-
we have a c CITV in a house by the way. Yes,
-
I bought a CITV just to want my cat, not
-
anything else. So when I open a CCTV and I
-
look at Snuggles, which is my cat. When I'm not
-
at home, she's always just like sitting down one hour
-
to our three hour for our fire hour. And me
-
and Rachelle we occasionally check the CDV where we're about
-
to come in. We step out on the liver, we
-
step out the leaf. Friends literally run wait up by
-
the way, she's a cat.
-
She didn't do that? What did you do? What she does?
-
It's so excited to see you know, to hear he
-
who has a year let them hear here the footsteps
-
of your master whatever God is in the room.
-
You know you are excited. You go like, wow, God
-
is here.
-
And then when she sees me, she opens the belly
-
and she goes like, Daddy, scratch me now, at me now,
-
and she does that.
-
Joy. I tell you what.
-
If cats can speak, I can tell you that's the
-
face of happiness.
-
Yeah, joy, fullness, pleasure. These are the fruits of His presence.
-
That's the same way how when we come to God,
-
and then God is in our midst, where we invite
-
him in worship, in word, in scripture.
-
His presence come before us.
-
Then we can open up ourselves to Him. That's where
-
we truly find rest. That's where we truly find joy.
-
Amen Elia is saying that your cat don't do that.
-
As it right on?
-
Are you sure? Maybe because you're not his master life? Okay,
-
I'm sure he does it with Albert.
-
Okay.
-
Anyways, so I'm gonna give you some reminders over here.
-
You cannot find rest in the absence of God. If
-
you feel restless. The first question that you should ask
-
is what do I need to It's not what do
-
I need to stop doing? But where is God in
-
my daily life? That's the first question issue us many
-
of us he quit rest to stopping. But was it
-
then I'm tired and you take a break. I will
-
never say no to people asking for a break, never
-
because I feel that it's necessary. But my follow up
-
question to that is that what are you going to
-
do in that break? Are you going to seek God?
-
Are you going to keep in his presence? Or are
-
you just going to.
-
Take a break away from everything? Because if that is
-
the case, then.
-
I would like to gently warn you that you may
-
drift further away and you may end up even worse
-
from when you started. When it's the last time you
-
came to God without a list? When was the last
-
time you came to God without a list? Just simply
-
be in his presence. You may be wondering why Sluggles
-
so excited to see me? Maybe because I'm the one
-
that feeds Helah. But did you notice that we found
-
out very recently that it's not just that because she
-
can be so full her foot plate still got a
-
love food, But yet she still come every morning after
-
that already fuller, still come and hit but me play Mila,
-
scratch me La, Hello, Daddy, good morning. Can't get off me.
-
And that's that's that's God's creation, you know. And I
-
feel that there's so much I learned from my cat.
-
You know.
-
That God just wants that from us. Not always. God
-
wears my foot, God wets my money, God wets my this,
-
God west my healing God. Where's my this? God, where's
-
my dad? No, he just wants you to come to
-
him and go like.
-
God.
-
Uh yeah, No, shoulder to rest on our Lord and Savior.
-
He just wanted a shoulder to rest on. You'll know
-
the scripture, his story. All he wants with us is
-
a relationship with each and every one of us. He
-
wants to pour out his presence into us. So that's
-
a question for all of us this morning. When was
-
the last time it came to God without a list,
-
just simply to be in his presence?
-
Amen.
-
The third point is to beware of the surpurn and
-
you'll see where this is going. Okay, beware of the surpurn.
-
The third letter S, which will translate to something later
-
which is not certain how you smart ones will already
-
know what it is. But you have to beware of
-
the serpent. Friends, beware of the serpent. Satan is the
-
father of lies, and one of his most effective lies
-
is to offer a counterfeit rests. In other terms of
-
fake res, okay, fake res.
-
Consider the final two letters of the word res ends
-
with S and T. We went through R and E right, revive,
-
renew your mind.
-
God is with us, Emmanuel the s Here in my context,
-
he represents the serpent, and the T represents the cross.
-
So here the friends.
-
Here, this friends, if you're if you're running away, here, this,
-
this is the enemy's strategy. Yeah, in every season of
-
res to get to you before the cross does. If
-
it gets to you before the cross gets to you,
-
then you're in trouble because you find rest.
-
You're you're trying to find rest. But he gets you.
-
What does he does?
-
He offers you something that feels and sounds like res.
-
R E S t r E S sounds the same.
-
One is the rest, one is rest. Both sounds like rest,
-
both sounds similar, both looks like res. Both is encouraged.
-
How many of you have ever heard arena? You have
-
worked so hard take a holiday. I'm not saying do
-
knack can be take holiday? I think or just went okay,
-
no mind, there's never not enough holidays. Okay, but both
-
sounds the same. But what the serpent does? It?
-
Is he or it five passes Calvary altogether?
-
It takes away the cross and he goes like, you
-
don't need the cross because you already get rest.
-
Why do you need the cross? And I can offer
-
you rest rest. Don't allow rest to not end with
-
the cross.
-
Friends, there is a warning for all of us, because
-
if it ends with the lines of the serpent, all
-
you're left with is ris. And the enemy seeks to
-
confuse us like some house you are already confused by
-
me uh, and things that does not belong to God
-
into our lives. That's what he does, right, something that's
-
not of the Lord. He takes edding your life. He
-
distracts us. He goes like, hey, have you ever conceded divos?
-
Whoa whoa whoa wa? Where where did I just go?
-
You just had an argument in your spouse and suddenly
-
the enemies we spring. Have you ever considered divors just
-
get rid of itner? Have you ever considered.
-
Fighting back? If your daddy and your mummy.
-
Have you ever considered being rude because politeness doesn't work?
-
Parents?
-
Have you ever considered using the rod on your cross
-
on your son and your daughter? Wagg the fullorn? You know,
-
wack cow?
-
He is serving it all you.
-
How any times you talim in early sudden, they ca
-
him in the room now and whag him to kingdom.
-
Come. But what does the lord say? Actually you discipline
-
your child with the rod? But oh what love? But
-
the enemy?
-
Sometimes he whispers stuff that sounds the same as rest,
-
but yet it is not rest. He adds things that
-
doesn't belong to rest, and he adds it in, and
-
you become even more and more and more and more anxious.
-
And this is what happens, friends, This is why you
-
end up with end up with two words us okay.
-
Second Corinthians eleven thirteen says, but I am afraid that,
-
as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts
-
will be read astray from a sincere and pure devotion
-
to Christ.
-
It makes you a once feel.
-
Because the serpent, as he deceived Eve, your thoughts will also.
-
Be led astray.
-
You know, Sapan sapan serpent the serpent is the master
-
of confusion. But did you know who is not the
-
author of confusion? First Corindians fourteen, the retreat. But for
-
God is not the author of confusion, but of peace,
-
as in all the churches of the saints.
-
That is God.
-
So Satan, the master, the deceit, the deceiver, the enemy.
-
He is the master of confusion. He confuses us. He
-
doesn't want even want you to believe that he is real.
-
Did you know that he doesn't care you know if
-
you think that the devil does not exist?
-
In fact, I think that's one of his primary objectives
-
to convince us the actual day is no hell, to
-
convince us that actually he does not exist. It's just
-
a figment of your imagination. But he's very real. He's
-
very real, and as believers, we are light of the world.
-
Do not be afraid of the duck. Children, Do not
-
be afraid of the duck.
-
Yeah.
-
I was once afraid of it as well. But the
-
next time you are afraid, look at the duck and said,
-
I am the light. Because you are a light. You're
-
shining in the dark. God is good, Amen, He'll be
-
good to all of us. Do not be afraid because
-
God is with us. If God is with us, then
-
who can be against us?
-
Amen?
-
God is not the auto of confusion, but satanists. And
-
this is what happens. He takes the rest, he takes
-
the same. Can you look at that same alphabets? You
-
know same, let's just rearranged, just confused. You are coming
-
into it seeking what rest? But what you get if
-
you do not hit the surpurn, you get stress. You
-
get stress even sound like a sturburn. Yeah, that's what
-
he does, do I dream? Mhm, that's all happening. You know,
-
he was just rare surrounding the cross. I was like,
-
look at it. I'm like, no wonder. I feel so
-
anxious because I didn't allow my season to end with
-
the cross. I didn't allow my season to be rooted
-
in the cross the end, the beginning and the end.
-
It didn't allow it to happen, but allow the enemy
-
to come in and take over. And his voice, his
-
noise goes like Daniel, tell you what that boy, no
-
hope anymore. I just give up on him knowing to
-
meet him anymore. No need, just let him go, let
-
him do whatever you want to do. It's okay on Albert, Albert,
-
it's okay, one, don't have to don't have to fight
-
that battle anymore.
-
What's the point? What's the point forgive?
-
Now?
-
What's the point?
-
Scriptures say forgive seventeen times seven times. You already forgiven
-
five hundred times. So no to forgive anymore, coronel. And
-
you get stressed, and he says, he looks at you,
-
and he looks at you stress. And if if he's
-
stressed too, if he's stressed.
-
So there's a if.
-
Look at Adam and Adam howe if stress? You know
-
by the way the serpent deceived. If in the midst
-
of Adam, did you know that Adam was actually in
-
the vicinity? He just didn't say anything. Guys, man in
-
the house, please do not remain silent when the enemy
-
is talking. Don't remain silent. You should be rooted in
-
the world God. And you said, if what that down.
-
Put it down. M hmm. Man, come on, we all
-
have a role to play. No, I'm talking to the
-
manor this hose. Come on, we got to rise up.
-
We got to rise up.
-
We've got to be soldiers ready to fight the war
-
and not be David h when he is supposed to
-
be in the battlefield he's nicely watching some bath. Mm hmm,
-
ex kids stop them? Well, yeah, supposed to be in
-
the midst of the war. But no, he's nicely having
-
a bath. Yeah, so same same, same alphabet's different outcome.
-
This is some of his the enemy's strategy. Next, why
-
is my face blocking the Yeah? Okay, forms of fake rest? Yeah,
-
just gonna run. Shoot is very quickly. Alcohol. I don't
-
know how many of you forgot God here today this morning.
-
Don't take alcohol. Alcohol substances. They numb you, but they
-
do not heal you. You know they don't do that. Yeah,
-
very quickly, Moving on binge watching endless entertainment. This is
-
some of the rest that the enemy actually offers. You
-
go and finished that five fifteen episodes of the Korean
-
drama that just came out and died the next day,
-
because you want to know what happened, ma Watchla. Then
-
the next day your boss asks you a why lie
-
your face like that? Why you got black eyes in
-
your face? You just binge watched fifteen episodes of Gossip Girl.
-
Of course, lah overwoking, over woking, over working as a
-
coping mechanism. So you do that, right, You overwoke a
-
lot Yeah, toxic relationships or your fantasies, your escape and
-
this is the temporary comfort that deepens the wood.
-
You don't address the issue, you go deeper into it.
-
You just take a pause.
-
Social media, Yeah, constant comparisons sleep as an avoidance a
-
oh my goodness, friends and family. You know, sleeping does
-
not take away the problem. You know.
-
It doesn't.
-
So if you are really stressed, you know, instead of
-
taking a long sleep twelve hours, take a short net maybe,
-
and then spend the rest of the time talking to God.
-
But the enemy is saying, take the rest, take the rest,
-
take the MC. Oh, take the MC. Now it is
-
so easy to get em C. You know, doctor.
-
Can I get empts here and.
-
Talking about myself, by the way, none of you are
-
you know, I'm just saying this is the this is
-
the enemy.
-
Enemy. Sometimes we said that, I know you're so tired.
-
No get M One thing.
-
I admire my wife Andre. She never take MC her
-
life maybe in her working life eleven years. The she
-
takes MC three days and very rarely should the MC.
-
I think the I think the father and mother trainer
-
very well to rely on Chinese medication every time, as
-
to go and see doctor h Chinese medication. You know,
-
root costs, Root costs, Root costs, Doctor Andrew. I'm not
-
saying that Western medication is bad.
-
It's not. It's good. I love Western medication.
-
I love my antibiotics, although I think that it's not
-
the greatest to keep taking antibiotics. I alas always call
-
my wifriend, Oh, I know the antibiotics. Actually, I don't
-
know what antibiotics does though, just simply feeding your body
-
something that you shouldn't be eating. But she always healthy,
-
always well, right West Western medication. Okay, So sleep, sleep,
-
don't sleep, don't sleep too much. First Peter, because First
-
Peter five it says, be sober, v vigilant, because your adversary,
-
the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whomever
-
he may devour. So even in your rest, be vision
-
and not anxious. The last point I have for you,
-
where the clothes very quickly, is the cross. The cross,
-
lean on Calvary, lean on Jesus. That's the final letter
-
of the word rest. The cross is where Jesus bore
-
every burden. You were men to carry, You are men
-
to carry this word and.
-
Sin.
-
Punishment of sin is death, separation, from God. But God
-
love us so much that he sent Jesus to die
-
for us. He took your sin, He took your shame,
-
your anxiety, your striving, your exhaustion, and he nailed them
-
to the cross, the wood of Calvary, the tree, and
-
then he said it is finished.
-
How many of you are happy grateful that he said that.
-
Wouldn't this have been so much more stressful if he
-
said to be continued.
-
Imagine Jesus hung on the cross and he went to
-
be continued. Well, imagine that man to be continued. Good
-
season two the misician.
-
Everyone of us have to carry across and be hung,
-
because there's the penalty of sin. But he took it all,
-
and he said it is finished.
-
It is finished.
-
He Brews four nine to ten says, this is not going.
-
So then there remains a sabbath rests for the people
-
of God. For whoever that enters into God's stress has
-
also rested from his works, as God did from his.
-
It is about entering the rest that Christ accomplished on
-
the cross.
-
This is what a cross says. The cross says it
-
is already finished. Imen, Amen, Church, he is already finished.
-
You do not have to complete what Christ has already
-
completed someone us here a thing that we need to
-
do that need to justify our works, justify our faith.
-
Yeah, our works is the word again, the salvation. That's
-
what we think.
-
So we keep working hard and hard and hodder. But
-
God is saying, take a break, take a break, take
-
a pause.
-
Rest in me. Right.
-
The Cross says your guilt is gone. You don't have
-
to keep striving and keep to keep going to be good.
-
Enough for God.
-
Friends and family, stop thinking that they're not good enough.
-
He'll stop it. Not seriously, all the all the young girls.
-
I'm speaking to the youths here. I always whenever I minister,
-
the young people are they always tell me that I'm
-
not great enough. Hello, you are good enough because God,
-
the Son of God, has died.
-
For you across you are good enough. You're good enough
-
for him to die for you. Hello.
-
Okay, he loves us so much. You are accepted. Some
-
ofways need to hear that again and again. You are accepted.
-
You do not have to perform for love. You do
-
not have to perform for God's love for you. Stop
-
trying to strive thinking that. You know, if I miss
-
one day or church, I need to perform time and
-
time again. If you miss if you miss it, you
-
miss it.
-
Just go to him.
-
Spend time with God, and he says you do that.
-
The more and more you want to come, the more
-
and more you want to be in His presence. You
-
know that in the presence of the saints, there he is.
-
As well, when through a tree are gethered, he's there
-
within omitst. So if you want the presence of God,
-
come and be united, be edified together. You know the
-
the edification of God's word doesn't just come from the
-
pull bit. It comes from being encouraged by one another
-
as well. It comes from the hellos. It comes from
-
the hey, brother, can I pray for you?
-
Right?
-
The cause says the enemy is defeated. You do not
-
have to fear what the serpent may do. Some closing
-
points before we're close. True, rest is not what you do,
-
is about what he has already done. Amen, It's about
-
what he has already done. Your rest thing is the
-
lack of faith. You rest because you believe the cross
-
was enough. So some of you here, maybe you don't
-
believe that the cross was enough. That's why you think
-
that you keep on have to work for the salvation. No,
-
you have already been saved and Jesus has already done
-
it for you. Amen, Repent, receive, remember, return, Take a
-
picture if you want to. I'm not going to cover
-
on this, but that's how you lean on the cross.
-
You repent, come to the cross, you receive. Every Sunday
-
you give you an opportunity. Right, do you remember you
-
remember when you have anxiety, Remember that it's done.
-
It's done.
-
He has already won. The Satans with spring is not done.
-
The same satence we spring that you need to work harder,
-
you need to do more. No, Jesus is saying it's done.
-
And return.
-
Make the Cross your daily center of rest, your cominion,
-
your prayer, Return the Calvary.
-
Amen. Now this is how I want to close. I'm
-
going to explain the dream very quickly. The cross. The
-
cross represents the four points of rest.
-
Right, I'm just going to put in the letters here,
-
and this is how the Lord ministered to me and
-
revealed to me what the cross is about. Okay, so
-
let's start over here. This is the first point that
-
the Lord ministered to me. What does stand for? He
-
stands for e manue. That's the next light.
-
So actually, what I didn't realize in the dream, did
-
I did that?
-
I didn't reveal to you that in the background there's
-
actually something. There was the cross, there was a stake
-
that was circling, and they later came to a memory
-
that there was also a burning bush. There was also
-
a burning bush that was in the background. So the
-
entire backdrop is actually a bill of of fire. Just
-
remember just in visionists. So the Lord Specks spoke to me,
-
and that means that you whenever you want acquire rest,
-
you must remember me being my presence, that I'm always
-
with you. Amen, I'm always with you. And then he
-
this is the the part where it gets a little
-
bit interesting, at least to Mela. Okay, then he revealed
-
to me what the snake or the surpurn represents. Well,
-
to many of us, we know that the satan, the
-
surpurn represents Satan. It was a very very very very
-
very very very very disturbing picture. Actually, it was one
-
of the most ugliest snakes stags that I've seen in
-
my life. I don't know whether he had one hit,
-
two hit, and I don't know. Okay, this was a
-
snakler and yeah, it was bounding around it's just riding around.
-
And he appeared on one side off the cross, and
-
I was asking God what it meant. He revealed this
-
to me. Okay, so Luke, when he treated did I says,
-
then one of the criminals who hang blesh him. Him
-
saying if you are the Christ, save yourself and save
-
us sounds so million. This is what we always do,
-
you know, we always go to Christ asking him to
-
save us, but we forget that he's already done. We
-
forget that he's hanging there on the cross to save you. Brother,
-
you are literally in the presence of God, you know,
-
but yet you do not believe. And some of us
-
the danger is that we may be in his presence
-
by yet we may not even believe. So that is
-
represents the other guy, the other thief that was hanging
-
on a cross, because in Metel four five to six
-
says this. Then the devil took him up into the
-
Holy City and set him on the pinnacle of the
-
temple and say to him, if he see that they're familiar,
-
they sound the same if you are the son of God,
-
Like how the thief said to Jesus, if you are
-
the Christ, it's questioning his identity because he doesn't believe
-
in who he is. If you are sort of God,
-
throw yourself down for his written he shall give you
-
his angels chargeable. This is what the devil does. He
-
confuses us. He uses scripture, but he didn't quote the
-
whole scripture. And Jesus said, depart from me, do not
-
blash him, do not do not confuse. That's what the
-
thief that. And I believe that this is my own
-
interpretation that the man on the cross on the right
-
hand side of the eleventh side. We don't always side,
-
but I believe that he was influenced by the devil.
-
I believe that he was confused by the devil because
-
all he cared for was himself. And we have to
-
be careful friends in our season of rest. We have
-
to be careful of the devil. Amen, we have to
-
be careful what the say. What the enemy is saying
-
his lies, his stories.
-
Will be careful.
-
And then he revealed to me this There was another
-
person on the cross. Remember, Harlen Luish praised the Lord
-
for he who should not be named. I don't know
-
what's his name. Let's just name him Bob. So praise
-
the Lord for Bob because Bob spoke to Sob because
-
Sab is just constantly crying and sobbing and are being
-
all said, Bob spoke to Sob there was influenced by
-
the serpent, and he said that, hello, wake up, I believe.
-
I'm perfect saying yah, I believe. And what's happening over there?
-
Because remember Bob didn't start off believing. You know, Bob
-
actually was also questioning, remember what is happening over there?
-
Romans twelve, verse two.
-
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for you
-
will be able to prove what is that good, acceptable
-
and perfect will of God? And what is the will
-
of God that all should believe, that none should perish
-
and have ever lost in life. So Bob decided to believe.
-
And where's Bob?
-
Now?
-
Where's Bob?
-
Now?
-
Bob is with Jesus? What is if our Bob is
-
with Jesus in paradis? Ah Leelujah, praise the Lord. So
-
the enemy may be circling the cross, but you just
-
got to remain in the presence of the Lord. Both
-
were in the presence of the Lord. One chose to believe,
-
one chose to not believe. I don't know where Stop
-
is now, but I know where Bob is. A man, Bob,
-
I'll s you when I get to Bob. When I
-
get to heaven, I asked, where are you, Bob? Everybody
-
say hello to Bob. Brahm when you go to heaven, Yeah,
-
says Daniel. Gave him a name called Bob, but he
-
was He's there because he believed. And finally he revealed
-
to me the last slide is this the other? This?
-
Bob?
-
Yeah, answered rebuke him, said do you not fear God?
-
Seeing that you are under the same condemnation. Jesus said
-
to him, Ima, surely, I say to you today you
-
will shall be with me in paradise. And finally, the
-
last part that was revealed to me is that we
-
have to be anchored in the cross. If you didn't
-
know what this represents, it represents the roots. Roots begin
-
to grow from the tree. In my dream, roots began
-
to grow and he went deep. He went deep. The
-
roots began to grow. And do you know that the
-
cross represents a tree? Did you know that friends, the
-
family the roots? And what is the roots? The last
-
letter is t he represents the cross. And I pray,
-
friends and family, that you will anchor your resting in
-
the cross. Iman, anchor it because he is the anchor
-
of your salvation. He is the cornerstone of what, believe
-
it last light. John Tree sixteen says, for God so
-
loved the world that he gave his one and only
-
begond and son. The whosoever who believe in Him shall
-
not perish again, ever lasting life.
-
Amen.
-
So what is rest? What is press? This is my
-
last write. I promise what is rest extremely can come up.
-
Res is not a concept. Res is a person.
-
Amen. Res is a person. Hallelujah, Praise the Lord. His
-
name is Jesus.
-
He is your Sabbath, he is your peace, He is
-
the steel waters, and he is your green best.
-
Amen. So find rest, friends and family.
-
Maybe you are maybe you are tired, and uh, I
-
don't know if this word is for you, but I
-
want to encourage each and everyone of us to continue
-
to remember that, even in the scene of rest, do
-
not allow the serpurn to deceive you. Because what you
-
should always remember that at the end of the day,
-
this serpurn was turned into a savior. Amen, that the
-
serpurn will be canceled out from the cross. It's gone
-
because Jesus hung on the cross. The two thieves, they're gone,
-
one into Paradise, one just into the grave. But he
-
who hung on the cross on the third day resurrected
-
Reason from the grave, and the empty tom was found,
-
and he is now on the right hand of our
-
Father in Heaven, Amen seated on the throne. So, friends
-
and family, I want to just stand your feet right now.
-
I'm just not a minister for a while. It's combined service,
-
so we can take it along a bit, a little
-
bit more. But if that's you and you're feeling tired,
-
you're in this place where you just want a little
-
bit of comfort from the Lord, just assuring you that
-
everything is going to be okay.
