You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
I just want to share with us and just encourage
-
us again. If you've been walking with the Lord, this
-
would be a simple reminder again to us.
-
And yeah, we whether. I don't want to ask a question.
-
I want to put it as a statement ready for
-
God's or our master's use.
-
All right, Jesus is our master, and we're ready for
-
the Lord to use us. Amen.
-
All right, We're gonna look at two contrasting people, one.
-
Young and the other one older.
-
Two contrasting people, and how did they respond when the
-
Lord spoke to them?
-
All right?
-
So the first person we're gonna look at is Mary,
-
all right, the mother of Jesus. Okay, before she became
-
the mother of Jesus.
-
In Luke.
-
We're gonna look at Luke chapter one. And if you
-
have your bibles, you know, when you come to church
-
you can bring your bibles.
-
You can bring your bible to your office as well.
-
Print bibles are hard to come by these days, so
-
if you haven't got one, let us know.
-
We'll help you.
-
Because I found that it was some bibles are like
-
getting harder to buy.
-
I don't know why.
-
So the new King James version and a particular tie
-
brand we cannot buy anymore. It's like out of like
-
do you know why they don't grin or something. So
-
make sure you get a copy of Keep your Bibles
-
and bring bring your Bibles to church.
-
Have so you do quiet time at home as well.
-
So we turn to Luke chapter one, and we're gonna
-
I'm gonna ask STV.
-
To help me with the versus.
-
So this is my key verse, but we'll go through
-
so that everyone can read together. Okay, I'm looking at
-
my time, and I must end by nine to thirty, right, okay,
-
so I got twenty minutes ago, all right, all right?
-
So look chapter one. Okay, look chapter one.
-
Thank you.
-
Look chapter one, and this is the Angel coming to
-
visit Mary.
-
Hey man, how many have you read this portion of scripture? Yeah,
-
I'm sure you have ya. Okay, So so here is
-
the Angel coming.
-
So looking at verse twenty six onwards, and I'm gonna
-
read there. Would you follow me either if they managed to?
-
If not, you have your bibles?
-
So Luke chapter one and verse twenty six.
-
Now in the six month, in the six month the
-
angel Gabril was sent by God to a city of
-
Galilee named Nazareth, to.
-
A virgin.
-
Be trotted to a man whose name was Joseph.
-
Any.
-
Joseph said, Mary's here, Gose's suddenly my SAYI is God's will?
-
No, no, I'm not saying you all right, okay, to
-
the virgin name.
-
Mary's been throtted to a man named Joseph of the
-
House of David. All right, verse twenty eight. And having
-
come in, come in, you know. The angel came in
-
and said to Mary, rejoice, highly favorite one. The Lord
-
is with you. Blessed are you among women? And then
-
verse twenty nine. But when she saw him, she was
-
a bit troubled by his saying and considered what manner
-
of greeting was this? Because he say, hey, you are
-
highly favored by women. Whenever someone says you are highly
-
favored of the Lord, you must say amen, right, because
-
you're highly favored of the Lord.
-
Amen, all right.
-
And then after that he says, the angel said to her,
-
do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor
-
with God. And behold, well, you found favor with God.
-
And then here's the great news. Behold, you will conceive
-
in your womb and bring forth a son, and you
-
shall call him Jesus. And he will be great and
-
will be will be the Lord God, and will be
-
called the Son of the Highest. And the Lord God
-
will give him the throne of his father David. And
-
he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and
-
of his kingdom there will be no end. And then
-
Mary said to the Angel, how can this be, since
-
I do not know a man. I'm a virgin. Okay
-
verse thirty five. The Angel answered and said, the Holy
-
Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the
-
Highest will overshadow you. Therefore also that the Holy One
-
who is to be born will be called the Son
-
of God. And now indeed, Elizabeth, your relative, also conceived
-
a son in her old age, and this is now
-
the six months for her, who is called Baron. And
-
then verse thirty seven, the Angel says, for we've got
-
nothing will be. And then Mary said, behold the maid's servant. Behold,
-
she says, behold, the maid servant of the Lord. Let
-
it be to me according to your word. And the
-
Angel departed from her.
-
Amen, hallelujah. Wow.
-
The Angel says, highly beloved, a highly favored one, you
-
are beloved of the Lord, and guess what.
-
You're going to have a baby. And then you are virgin?
-
And then how prayer?
-
And then it's like, oh, I'm so highly favored by
-
the lawd And then but now I'm going to have
-
a baby.
-
What good news is this? But it was good.
-
News, and she was a virgin, and something took place
-
supernaturally for Mary. But look at her answer the first one.
-
She's been confused, why are you talking to me?
-
Who are you?
-
And then suddenly you say, hey, I'm going to bear
-
the son of God. This is even possible. But she
-
was about about how many years old?
-
What do you think? He was about fifteen? Maybe fifteen
-
now young? Maybe some say twelve even.
-
No, I don't know, Wow, maybe fifteen maybe fourteen young?
-
She was just a teenager. All right, imagine you're teenager
-
suddenly pregnant.
-
What will you say, father's in the house. What did
-
you do? Oh, we don't know what our father's will know?
-
Right? I remember my dad when when you know they
-
always say if you get pregnant before you marry, you did, right,
-
And I really saw it. My dog got pregnant impregnated
-
by a outside the dog.
-
You know. He climbed the hedge of my house, you know,
-
and he's so yan na Charry the girl.
-
Right. He came into my house under the high fence
-
with the tea leaves those days. He I don't know
-
how he came into the house and he impregnated my dog.
-
And then my father that morning he took a stick
-
and he hit the dog. And even if the dog
-
couldn't climb a wall, he climbed the wall. He was
-
such an ugly dog. Now, I always seem okay, I said,
-
what an ugly dog. He was so ugly, and he
-
came to my pretty girl and he made her pregnant,
-
you know, my daughter. My dad I took the figure
-
and beat him now, and beat him and yet to
-
climb back the edge to go out on the road,
-
you know. And then I looked at and said, girl,
-
don't you get pregnant.
-
Before you're married.
-
I had to like, oh my gosh, Dad be kind.
-
But my dad was so passionate about his pet, you know,
-
our pet dog right see you, How can you dare
-
come and be pregnant my daughter?
-
You know, And there's a dog, so I said, the daughter.
-
It happens to the doctor gone, both the daughter and
-
the guy will both die. Yeah, so be beaten, you know.
-
So bad news or good news, we don't know. Imagine
-
the time that they were living in. To find Mary,
-
a young virgin pregnant, and Joseph had the thought, if
-
you read on that, maybe I should just quietly put
-
her away because she's already engaged, considered wife.
-
Already, but then impregnated.
-
And then the Holy Switch spoke to Joseph and said, no,
-
this is a thing of the Lord.
-
So it was supernatural. Imagine the time they were living in.
-
It was bad news in the sense culturally, how can
-
a young girl be pregnant?
-
Right? But here it is.
-
She responded with saying, okay, Lord, I am your handmaiden.
-
Here I am whatever it is, O, Lord, do according
-
to your word.
-
There was this such a I don't know, call her brave,
-
call her courageous.
-
At fifteen or twelve, or thirteen or sixteen, she was
-
so brave, so courageous to trust that it was.
-
Of the Lord.
-
Someone who heard the Lord, heard what the angel had
-
to say to her, and received that command of the
-
Lord that she would carry the son of God.
-
And yet she had no clue all this time, what
-
is this? Who is this?
-
And even as she watched Jesus, you know, as he
-
grew up, she kept a lot of things in her heart,
-
just pondering what was God doing?
-
Amen?
-
But this is a respond confused what is happening? And
-
then I'm gonna get pregnant. Never slept with a man before,
-
and you know months later, three months later, you're usually
-
three months it takes it find out.
-
Oh, I'm pregnant, all right. So that was Mary, and.
-
Then the key verse for us, because firstly she says
-
in verse thirty four, hey, how can this be? Since
-
I do not know a man. I'm engaged, but I
-
have not engaged him yet. And then in verse thirty eight,
-
Mary says, behold the maid seven of the Lord. I
-
am the maid seven of the Lord. Lord, according to
-
your word, let it be such a surrender. This is
-
not for everyone every day in terms of getting pregnant.
-
No, it never happened.
-
Again, immaculate pregnancy does not happen anymore. Jesus came one time.
-
Done really, So for the rest of us, follow the way.
-
Get married first and then have the child, all right,
-
No pre marital sex and allever, just get married.
-
And then do all you want because you have license,
-
license to do.
-
Okay, before that, No, remember I what we young people are,
-
so you can ask me what I say to them.
-
They are very well educated. No, I don't tell him
-
how to do as he stopped doing. Get married first.
-
You want to get mad tomorrow, so can I'm pastor
-
I can marry you better to marry and just than
-
freely do not before because there would be just out
-
of the question.
-
All right, Now, that was Mary.
-
The other person I would like to speak to about
-
is Moses. Another m Okay, Moses. As you know, Moses
-
was really raised as a prince of Egypt. He was
-
a prince.
-
He was raised by Pharaoh's daughter, all right. He was
-
a Hebrew.
-
But as you know, in the Book of Exodus, chapter one,
-
two three, you can read how his mother wanted to
-
save him because she looked at this baby. Moses said,
-
what a good looking child. I cannot bear to kill him.
-
So I'm going to just, you know, put him through
-
the river and see where he leads him. And he
-
led him to the princess the pharaoh's daughters bathing quarters
-
and bathing quarters, and then she raised him. So he
-
was raised as a prince in Egypt, all right, very
-
well trained, very well equipped.
-
He knew, he spoke well, he.
-
Had a lot of cultural training, very well equipped. You
-
can read that in a book of Acts where they
-
say Moses was very well trained in all of the
-
ways of royalty knowledge. And you know, he was just
-
a clever man. But when you come to the book
-
of Exodus, you remember what happened to Moses. He knew
-
from a child that he is a Hebrew, and then
-
he will one day.
-
Deliver his people.
-
And so as he walked out walking one day, he
-
saw he saw an Egyptian army guy or the you know,
-
the master, beating the one of the Hebrew servants, and
-
he thought he was helping.
-
He took his authority.
-
He killed the Egyptian master or the man that was
-
beating the Hebrew guy, and then he buried him somewhere,
-
thinking nobody saw, thinking that he had saved and helped
-
his own people.
-
But the next day, when he.
-
Saw two of the Hebrews fighting against each other, he
-
said to them, hey, hey, whoa who, brothers, don't fight
-
l You're all brothers, right, Just cool it. Lets let's
-
let's work it out better. And then they turned around
-
and said, who made you a judge?
-
You want to kill me?
-
Or so?
-
Then he panicked.
-
So without knowing whatever he panicked, he said, oh no,
-
and found out the Pharaoh is going to come and
-
kill me, gonna catch me and kill me, and.
-
So he ran away.
-
He was forty years old when he tried to help
-
his own Hebrew people persons.
-
And at forty he ran for his life. He ran
-
and ran and ran and ran to.
-
The desert Egypt. It is a desert, so what's the difference.
-
It's a desert, right. If anyone's been to Egypt, it's
-
a desert, right. And so he runs and runs. He
-
meets his future father in law, and then he marries
-
I think her name is zip O Rah zip Hey,
-
zip zip it okay zip And then they have children
-
and he lives far far away from where Pharaoh is.
-
And then one day he has a burning bush experience.
-
So I'm giving you a summary on leah. Okay, he
-
has a burning bush experience. And this is where we
-
go to Exodus chapter three. Thank you so much XCV
-
for helping me. As I said, I won't remember by
-
they're helping me.
-
Okay.
-
Exodus chapter three. So the story goes that he has
-
already run away, and where do you find And you've
-
heard me say this, where do you find Moses? After
-
all the years he's running, he ran away. He goes
-
into the desert. Where do we find Moses? Well, Exodus
-
chapter three, verse two, Verse one says he was at
-
the back side of the desert. Not only was he
-
in the desert, he was at the backside of the desert.
-
He went to the depth of the desert to hide.
-
He lived for the next forty years of his life
-
in fear, in regret.
-
I'm imagining all.
-
The emotions that he was living through, nobody knowing, not
-
his father in law knowing nothing. He didn't you know, ruel.
-
His father in law didn't know what was it. He
-
carried the guilt, he carried things that was in his
-
past all these years that he just took all the gold.
-
He became a.
-
Farmer, a shepherd, and he shepherded all the goats and
-
the sheep at the backside of the desert, not just
-
in the desert, but in a far away part of
-
the desert.
-
I can't imagine you get lost in the desert.
-
I've never been in a desert if you have, if
-
you ever have been, what does he feel like? Instand? Yeah,
-
so Moses was eating sands and then he lost his
-
ability to speak. He lost he suddenly like gave up
-
all his you know, all his princely abilities.
-
That he started to speak like the sheep and the goats.
-
Hello, Moses, hella low ah bah, I am yeah.
-
I don't know.
-
He started the stammer because forty years keeping quiet made
-
some babies keeping quiet go to the side, backside of
-
the desert, jagga, all the sheep and the goats.
-
He became a goad himself. Okay, how do we know that?
-
Because when the Lord came in a burning bush, the
-
Lord found the right time.
-
Forty years later, he's eighty years.
-
Old now and at the backside when nobody knows the
-
Lord met him with at a burning bush experience.
-
How many you want? How many? If you want a
-
burning bush experience? I don't know it. Will it be
-
exciting or would it be scary? All right?
-
And thank god it says yeah in Exodus chapter three
-
in verse two, and the Angel of the Lord Exodus
-
chapter three and verse two, and the Angel of the
-
Lord appeared to him in the flame of fire from
-
the midst of a bush. And then he looked and behold,
-
the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was
-
not consumed.
-
Amen, that's another miracle.
-
So here's a young girl who is a virgin and
-
she gets pregnant by how?
-
By how? No man, I'm know, no man, virgin. Yeah,
-
it's a bush. It is just a bush.
-
It's burning, but the leaves don't get consumed. So Moses said,
-
I will now turn aside verse two and see this
-
great sight.
-
Why the bush does not burn. Hallelujah.
-
Somebody say, amen, Amen that Moses turned aside. See, you
-
could have a miracle about to happen, but you could
-
pass it by. Moses could have been so down in
-
the backside of the fire, fire, in the backside of
-
the of the desert, and forty years of regret, forty
-
years of guilt, forty years of nobody knows what I'm
-
gone through. He probably stopped talking to God and as
-
he walked and he saw this, he turned aside. Thank
-
God for some curiosity, all right, thank God for some interest,
-
because he could have been so down it's just desert land.
-
He could have fallen himself.
-
I'm seeing things, but it was a sight to behold,
-
and he turned aside. Well, thank God for a turn aside,
-
because if there was no turn aside, there won't be
-
a story for us to read about Moses. Harlelujah. So
-
he turned aside and he looked at this burning bush.
-
And then from the midst of the burning bush, the
-
Lord saw.
-
Wow. The Lord saw that. He turned aside.
-
Wow. He turned aside, and the Lord saw and then
-
God called to him, Moses, Moses, and he said, here
-
I am. He jow up, you know, so to somebody
-
who is like a goad, but he actually jow up.
-
Here I am.
-
He.
-
He was so shocked that the bush was talking to him. Yes.
-
And then the Lord said, don't draw near, because this
-
is holy ground. Take off your sandals. He took off
-
his sandals. And then the Lord says, I am the
-
Lord God. You're of the Father, the God of your father,
-
the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the
-
God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for he
-
was afraid to look upon God. Why do you think
-
he hid his face? Suddenly the man of the God
-
of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
-
A memory, a reminder that there is a God, and
-
this God has come to visit him, that he had
-
to hide his face.
-
He cannot be happening. Why is this God?
-
Maybe afraid, maybe a shame, maybe just you let me down.
-
I don't know why, what emotions?
-
His emotions were, all right, And the Lord said, And
-
then the Lord told him I need your help.
-
I'm gonna use you to deliver my people.
-
Go to Egypt again and go and deliver the whole
-
Hebrew nation. All right, And of course we have all
-
kinds of unswers excuses from Moses as you would have read.
-
So I've taken verse six here.
-
Oh sorry, Exodus chapter three, and verse six is what
-
I have on my slide. Yeah, Mob, he said, I
-
am the God of your father. So he reminds him
-
who's who he is, Hey, Moses, I am the God
-
of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac,
-
the God of Jacob.
-
And then Moses hides his face.
-
And then it's not my next light, which is Exodus
-
chapter three, and it is verse elevens I wrote the
-
wrong verse there. Verse eleven says after God says in
-
verse tem come now, come, I will send you.
-
But Moses answer is, who am I?
-
That I should go to Pharaoh and that I should
-
bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. Suddenly it's
-
who am I? So this is the other encounter Mary
-
hadn't encounter. Moses is not encountering the Angel of the
-
Lord to the burning bush.
-
And so God calls him.
-
And now God says, come, and then he says, he
-
asks all the questions. If you've read the book of
-
chapter three, he says, who am I?
-
Now?
-
Suddenly who am I? Who am I? Because he's lost already?
-
Now who am I? Because what am I gonna tell Pharaoh?
-
I'm the one who killed the Egyptian master?
-
Right? Who am I? And what shall I say? Why? Why?
-
Why would the children of Israel even believe me? Not
-
only did he ask who am I? Later the next
-
verse he goes, who are you? What?
-
Later he says that what will I say? Who? Who
-
sent me? Who sent me? Who? Who? Who am I? Who?
-
Who are you?
-
And then God has to say, tell them, I am
-
I am send you. Wow, He's telling God is saying.
-
God said to Moses, I am who I am? And
-
you shall say to the children of Israel, I am
-
has sent you. Now, God is thinking this should be
-
good enough for Moses. But as you know, he had
-
a lot of other excuses. To the point of the
-
excuses like I cannot speak. Well, that's why I thought,
-
he said, speak like a good la. But suddenly he
-
started two stammer right, and then from who are you?
-
Who am I? To who are you? And finally he
-
just God was still very patient. If you read it,
-
answer him, got answer him. And finally he really made
-
God angry. Has anyone you made got angry?
-
He made God angry by saying, God, just send someone else. Love.
-
I think if he was a word, just go up, please, God,
-
just go youse someone else. Can you imagine the king
-
of kings, a lot of lords. He couldn't bring himself.
-
He just felt I can't anymore because of either his guilt,
-
his shame. Maybe it was like, ha, yo, you see
-
you never helped me. God, you know these people. Then
-
he said, just send someone else. And yet God said, okay,
-
you are gonna go with your brother. Lah okay, I
-
will give you the word side and then you will
-
tell your brother and your brother will speak for you.
-
Because God had an appointment with him, Amen had a choice.
-
So my title says, ready for our Master's use. I
-
want to encourage us this morning, as long as we're
-
walking on planet Earth, brother and sisters, as long as
-
we're called to him, be his child. Amen, we want
-
to be ready for our Master's use. Amen, for God's use,
-
for God to use us, for us to serve. It's
-
a privilege to serve the lot in what area, whatever
-
way that that He will call you to.
-
Amen.
-
I mean we have We've got a lot that actually
-
in our church here next Okay, I hope everyone is serving.
-
I hope everyone has a chance to serve something, do something.
-
And then there are also ministries that maybe you you
-
you will have that that is that that we might
-
have that we didn't you didn't Nolah, Like we have
-
chaplaincy ministry where some of I don't know why, but
-
the elderly be my aunties and uncles in our church
-
who are about my age sixty, they go on a
-
weekly basis to minister to the to the homes for
-
the agypt for the people become patients palliative care, and
-
once I don't know how many times in a month
-
they actually visit and our led by our uncle Ben,
-
and they go and all our ladies, and he's the
-
only man, and they go ad minister to all these
-
patients and the home of the agent. So that's a
-
ministry that they're doing. They're very happy to do it,
-
and the other ministries as well.
-
But something that we can do. Ready to just.
-
Say, Lord, here, I am use me. And there are
-
many ways, of course, to serve the Lord. So I
-
want to encourage us this morning, as a child of
-
God and saved of the Lord washing the blood of
-
Jesus called by the name, can I encourage us? Can
-
I encourage us all to have to take part in
-
ministrying to before the Lord, and also as the Lord
-
will call you to serve in some way, some way,
-
so that we spread out our duties.
-
Spread out. We'll call it duties, call it the privileged itself.
-
So Sony doesn't have to be an XTIV every Sunday,
-
all right, all right, So that Roy doesn't have to hold.
-
The camera every Sunday, all right.
-
But if we take turns, then everybody has a whole
-
part to play. So I want to sort you, my
-
brother and sisters, for someone who's been serving since I
-
became a a child of God, a believer.
-
At the age of sixteen.
-
I've been serving the lot, and I had the privilege
-
to serve in small, small ways and continue to serve.
-
I tried not to serve for one season of my life.
-
I tried.
-
I just said, Lord, I'm a young adult. Now I
-
have to work and I'm busy. And so I didn't.
-
I was serving in youth ministry. I was in my twenties,
-
and I said, no, it's too much, right, And so
-
I decided to work over time on Saturday and not
-
go for youth fellowship.
-
Oh my word, I like I wasted my whole Saturday.
-
I don't know.
-
I was doing eating Roadija and document my Maley friends,
-
doing being.
-
And talk again like I added no value.
-
I mean I wish I had added value to my
-
colleagues law, but I was just lost in my working mode.
-
And then the Lord said, are you ready now? Okay.
-
I went back to youth ministry and haven't come out
-
of youth ministry since. Ooh, all right, you are my
-
energy work with young people.
-
Okay Alla. Yeah. I was at CAM and it's forty
-
old woman. Forty You old woman said Pusser, what tablet
-
are you taking? I I'm forty. She has three children.
-
She said, I'm so tired, you know, you know, after everything,
-
I'm just so tired.
-
What's wrong with you? But what tablet? Yeah?
-
Tell tell me that me give me the supplement. Now
-
I take Jesus, amway, Jesus. I'm the way, the truth
-
and the life.
-
Okay. Uh.
-
The and really it's we work with young people so
-
many years now never stop.
-
Uh, it's just God right, the joy of serving.
-
I want to implore your friends, there might be many
-
things behind us, behind us.
-
I two went through different things. You know. Gonnamara Gonna
-
was holding off for my leaders. I was like, I
-
want to help me know.
-
I volunteer myself, you know in church, you know, when
-
I was a campus student, I went there. My pastor
-
you passed go in photocopy. So I went to the photocopy,
-
which she's so happy, not against spur.
-
You know. During my holidays, I went in the photocopy
-
and Dinna.
-
The which I come from a very big church, had
-
an administrator and he was a retired colonel. Colonel all right,
-
he was a retired colonel. And he's call your uncle uncle,
-
go and sugget you know which one?
-
What were captain?
-
I don't know that I was just going to photo
-
copy that what are you doing here?
-
I became most.
-
Foot poll copying wyma me lefre center. I was, well,
-
I don't ask to anyone. Course, I'm not playing with
-
the machine, you know, I'm just doing the job. But
-
I maybe thought, but I can understand. It's the office equipment.
-
You should have the office stuff. Do that, not like
-
who are you don't even have a tag? You know, No,
-
didn't have my tech didn't have the tag, you know,
-
and doing that. So I could have been offended and
-
say so done with you? Yeah, the latest words now
-
young people are not older.
-
I'm so done. I could have said that, and I'm
-
so done.
-
If I had said I'm so done and got offended
-
by this uncle, I don't think I would have been
-
serving and gone full time.
-
Now I'm full time because I'm so done.
-
So the person could have been weird and naughty at whatever.
-
But God, I'm still answerable to the Lord.
-
You know. I'm still answer about the Lord because the Lord.
-
I cannot blame uncle, Uncle sargean uncle Captain's colded me
-
because I was just trying to help the photocopy, help
-
my youth pastor. I could have blamed him and just
-
walk away and say I'm so done and walk away
-
and walk away for a long long time. But I didn't,
-
I thank God because I was young. I was just naive, right,
-
Oh can I I? Okay, go back to youth past.
-
The past cannot lie. Someone's colded me. You know, sometimes
-
we have we carry that past a certain hour dayscolded
-
me or that elder or that parcel or whatever.
-
And we can carry these things.
-
And so as we grow older, we we we find
-
it's very hard to serve. The lot are hard. We
-
want to serve the loan, so we serve other ways.
-
But I have to say God teaches us through the house. Okay,
-
ex Quota Community is a very new church, and I
-
want to share with you that maybe we care like
-
Moses forty years eighty years of backlock. Let's take the
-
backlock and just say, you know what, these backlocks don't
-
count for eternity.
-
Church.
-
I have to tell your backlock doesn't come for eternity.
-
Does God care for your feelings? Well, depends how your
-
feelings are. If you're gonna be about cursing other people,
-
then you better start repenting. Yeah, hey, one young person,
-
tell me I love cursing people. You love cussing people, yes,
-
So what do you want to change? I want to
-
stop cussing people? Very good? All right, don't gus curse people.
-
Don't go bad for you, bad for your health. You're
-
all young girls.
-
I love to cuss people. What you do, good, younger.
-
So what do you are you gonna change? Yes? I
-
want to change.
-
Okay, let's pray together that you will get to stop
-
cussing people.
-
All right, So we need to move forward.
-
I want to say to us, are you a marry
-
Why are you a Moses? Both ended up serving the Lord.
-
Amen. But sometimes when we were younger, we might be
-
a little bit more.
-
Naive, like, okay, but I understand, Lord, you're my master,
-
bid according to your word. And then you have a
-
Moses who carries a backlock, who carries some paths, who
-
carries maybe some guilt, carries some herds, and the Lord
-
had to corner him and speak to him to a
-
burning bush and call him back and say, come, Moses,
-
I do have a purpose and a plan. God didn't
-
let him go and moved him into serving no matter
-
how old we are. Church is not for just young people.
-
It's funny right. First of all, you find children so busying?
-
Are you so noisy?
-
Lat children?
-
And yet you want the young people to serve Hello,
-
adults in the house. Noisy kids will become young adults
-
like you. But we have to nurture them. We have
-
to nurture them. That's why we have children in the house.
-
I even had people complain, you know, in when we
-
were in Subangjana or church, that are your pustle, saying nois.
-
He a lot of the children? Is it? Thank God?
-
Is it? My church has a future? If I got
-
no children in the house, we don't have a future.
-
I need a future, and I thank God for the
-
children in the house. So we raise children did become
-
responsible young adults into young parents.
-
Amen.
-
So time is running out, and I want to say,
-
I think God loves us so much that he calls
-
us out of a burning bush experience. We might want
-
to run away, we might want to hide at the
-
backside of the of the desert, the desert of our lives.
-
Or we might be saying, but I'm too young, how
-
can this happen? Yet there's a willingness to say, here
-
am my Lord.
-
I pay Holy Spirit.
-
We just speak to your heart's church for us that
-
really need to just break through at least have a
-
breakthrough in our mindset and how we want to be
-
able to answer to the Lord. Because the church needs
-
your help. We all need each other.
-
Amen.
-
So the first thought for us when I'm looking at
-
how God spoke to Moses number one Exodus three and
-
verse ten is come now what an invitation? An invitation
-
to come? God always invites us to come. Even in
-
Matthew twenty eight and verse twenty the last commandment of Jesus,
-
which is our first priority, he says, you know, go
-
ye into all the world and make disciples right, teach
-
them all that to do, observe, and then finally ends
-
up by saying, and I will be with you. God
-
is with us to go and make disciples. Hallelujah. So
-
the first thing is he's saying come. God is calling
-
us to it says come come, Jane, No, Jane here right, come, Matthew,
-
come Lauren, Come come. Because the second point in Exodus
-
chapter three and verse twelve says, and I will be
-
with you as you say, I will be with you.
-
I will equip you, I will be with you. Come,
-
and I will be with you, Amen. So the first
-
one is an invitation, amen. And then up with the invitation,
-
the next eye is eye, sorry the.
-
Eyes God himself will be with you. That I am
-
will be with you. Hallelujah. Friends.
-
I don't know how to excite you to live by faith,
-
but we have to live by faith and not by sight.
-
That I am, God, Lord Almighty's with us. I just
-
I love our express So I would say that I
-
am is with them because their food is so colorful.
-
It's like, whoa, you know, all the food every week?
-
You know, they show me picture. You're like, whoa. And
-
I'm never around terrible all mix my nice food. I
-
know around Okay, they got colorful.
-
Food, right. Oh, that I am. It's with you. God
-
never leaves us alone. I want to invite you. This
-
is God.
-
Say come, I invite you to come with me, walk
-
with me. Because God is still working. He is still
-
working even when you can't see him working. He's still working.
-
Right we sing that song.
-
Uh, he's still working, just that we can't see him
-
because we're seeing by sight. But if you see him
-
right by faith, God is still working. And that's Exodus Street.
-
And then the last the point from the invitation. Then
-
to the I am with you that the third one
-
is the way. The Angel answered Mary and said, nothing
-
is impossible with God. Impossible, not impossible. Nothing is impossible
-
with God. Wow, it might be impossible for us to
-
do something due to our frustration, our guilt, our shame
-
through our heart, or to our the offenses. But God says,
-
nothing is impossible. If I am the way, then there
-
is a way. So I want to live. I want
-
us to live our lives in Jesus is the way way,
-
so that I walk in the Jesus m way.
-
Okay, not the way, but Jesus am the way.
-
Jesus says, I am the way, and you and and
-
you say nothing's impossible, then let's walk that way.
-
Friends. I've traveled for the last five weeks.
-
Okay, everyone who is of my age will tell me,
-
are you sure you're okay?
-
All right?
-
Every day waking up, every week waking up a different bit.
-
This has been week after week, week after week. Then
-
I hit my toe and I hit my toe and
-
that cannot walk right. So I have to wear sleeper
-
are yo? But I'm going to Japan. Not nice were
-
sleeper las? I went buy a shoe. Oh, the shoe
-
killed me. Right, So I told my husband I cannot,
-
I cannot. Can you buy a slipper, a proper sleiput
-
the kind of thing, right, sandal? So I bought a sandal,
-
and in one week my my toe finally finally breathe,
-
not pain. But I have to wear sendal. Still this
-
type of this is a different center. There are the
-
center's the opener. I can see all my toes so shy.
-
So I shy today, so I didn't wear the open
-
toes and read this shoe. Finally it shialed, but still
-
needs a bit more here, just a bit on me
-
with a toe see, and I'm walking like that like
-
a deer anti but I was talking like that. And
-
then to opin and you know, waking up early every morning,
-
going for camp, talking to young people, working among them. Oh,
-
watching them cook my little lunch and dinner. Okay, eating
-
all kinds of food. Wak a diet? Can you be
-
on nothing? You just put on weight right, all guys
-
of food right food non fright food?
-
Don't know?
-
All my my colleagues are my office colleagues are younger
-
than me. Taking the region diet, you know, the region diet.
-
You know, don't eat carps, don't eat sugar. I said,
-
I cannot do this later because look at me going
-
in and out, like how to eat today, YAKITORI, you
-
know tomorrow Nasi lama, Sundha food food la all the bakassi,
-
and then Japanese food, then camp food and more cam
-
food and then another cam food while a lot of
-
camp food. Yeah, not becon beacon head a beacon chicken
-
la okay alma okay. So I mean I'm just saying
-
I could tell God. No, I think I'm off age ready,
-
Lord of age. Please don't retire yourself, amen, there's no retirement.
-
Jesus still calls you to come.
-
You believe it.
-
Jesus calls you to come. Are your mom or dad?
-
You know you have little children. Oh my pastor Benji Mischa,
-
I saw themselving. I cried because there's not help. There's
-
no help there. They are really planting. Intercultural language is different,
-
people are different, international faces. Carrying the child who is
-
so active, right, carrying the child and sharing leading worship,
-
trying to teach them to do this and go like wow,
-
I'm so good. I'm so proud of them for just
-
taking a step of faith, right, And they could also say, hey, no,
-
pastor maybe maybe we should just come back because it's
-
a lot to deal with, But they don't.
-
They in fact, they saying what more can we do?
-
No? Wow, we got open don kyoto, we're gonna do that.
-
Oh we're gonna do do that and different things. I
-
hope to share with you more. But sometimes we forget
-
that God gives us an invitation to come. This invitation
-
was given to me when I was fifteen years old,
-
or when I was sixteen years old. The Lord said,
-
come and serve me. Sixteen years old, I just became
-
a Christian. And he didn't say to me, come and
-
serve me like hello Rogers coming. No, it came by
-
my leader, my CF Christian Fellowship leader said, Santa, would
-
you like to serve on the.
-
Now?
-
Now? The word because social media? But last time social
-
media is the bulletin board. Remember and I remember Sony
-
not so old as Mila, but remember not your school
-
go on bulletin board, right, and then they put encouragement
-
knows what's happening this week? I was that person. I
-
was that person, so I like I say, I shall
-
pray about it. Christian world, pray about it. I didn't
-
pray about it and play a fool. And finally, okay,
-
pray about this a lot, should I, sir? Because my
-
mother said I cannot. Of course, I'm not a very
-
good student. So if you serve me so you'll feel
-
your exam So how lot as you're not. And I
-
spoke to my heart sixteen years old, just a new believer,
-
he says, if you don't serve me now, when will you?
-
When?
-
Now?
-
But I just became a believer. I'm not a believer
-
before Buddhies background. Oh oh, okay, And again, if you
-
don't serve me now, when will you? I say, okay, Lord,
-
I'll serve you sixteen sixteen like a Mary beat unto
-
me according to your word. I'm still here, guys, I'm
-
still here serving.
-
Amen.
-
I'm still here serving because you're uncertain when the Lord says, come,
-
I am with you, and nothing is impossible. So I'm
-
still packing bags every week, I'm going for cams and
-
doing young people cam and older people came, and all
-
kinds of people came and pecking and flying and coming
-
back and all kinds of things going on. I just
-
want to say not because I'm proud I'm saying that.
-
I'm just saying I'm just like any one of us here.
-
I just answered that I come at sixteen and continue
-
to say Yes Lord.
-
Over every season of my life. Yes Lord. Sometimes I
-
do wish I.
-
Could be home and enjoy my You know, I ran
-
awayd my house about fifteen years ago.
-
I don't how man years fifteen years ago. Guess who
-
enjoyed it.
-
My parents, me and my husband were out of the
-
house for seven good years to eight years, planting London
-
and Melbourne. We were hardly at home. My parents got
-
to enjoy it. So you know, God blesses you to
-
bless others and uses you for other ways. I want
-
to say, come is the word for us. You know
-
I can share this word, but only a holy spirit
-
can place a word a conviction in your heart, a
-
conviction that is sweet and that is so tasty that
-
he says come, Come, Come now, son, daughter, come, and
-
I will be with you. Because Moses said how and
-
he said I will be with you. I will surely
-
be with you. God will always be with us.
-
Amen.
-
And when you feel like it's impossible at my age
-
and stage in life, I'm a CEO. Now I have
-
no time, but he.
-
Says, nothing is impossible with the Lord. Amen.
-
You could be see or you could be a business entrepreneur,
-
you could be a retired banker. But the Lord says,
-
come because he has something for us. Don't just end
-
up doing gardening unless your recycling plans. Okay, come, because
-
nothing is impossible with God. I leave this with you
-
this morning. Now it's the Holy Spirit to really touch
-
your heart with his word. God's word is living and
-
I'm a living example of what God can do with
-
a broken life, with that life that didn't have a
-
lot that not so very clever couldn't do, didn't think
-
she would amount to anything from my young life. And
-
over time, as the Lord saved me, he'd saved me
-
for one purpose and one purpose alone, to be his worshiper.
-
And I just worship him. To serve is to worship him.
-
Amen. How many are worshippers in the house? Come on, yeah,
-
we worship, we serve the Lord. Amen. When we worship,
-
we serve, we serve. We worship the Lord. The Lord
-
has called us.
-
Don't retire, don't put your hands down, put your hands
-
up to worship him and just say yes Lord. The
-
more we say yes to the Lord, the more you
-
know his favor, his strength, his grace until he takes
-
us home.
-
Amen.
-
As I shared with you, my dad was eighty three
-
when he went home to Jesus three years ago, still
-
serving the Lord, playing the guitar in the prison to
-
lead the prisoners to worship, to lead the prisoners to Christ.
-
At eighty three, he was very sad that he couldn't
-
because he was a COVID. He and because of that,
-
I think he lost that like, I can't go to
-
prison anymore. And the church would say, althose are eighty
-
and above? Cannot come to church because you might get
-
COVID that said I want to be in church. So
-
he ended up being one of the octogenarians that were
-
serving as a host, shaking people's hands on the last
-
day that he could serve in January twenty twenty three,
-
and he passed away in March, one month of his cancer.
-
And then he passed on, but he served the Lord
-
until he went home to Jesus.
-
Is that awesome? Come on, give God praise.
-
Come on, don't put your hands in your pocket and
-
just say, oh, it's just a story. You and I
-
have the opportunity to serve the Lord to come. He says,
-
Come on, guys, come to whatever it is that God's
-
speaking to your heart. But don't take too long to
-
have that privilege to do something, and that will add
-
to the value of the kingdom.
-
Maybe it's and again, as.
-
I said, maybe it's not things that you do on Sunday,
-
but things that you think you can do on other days. Again,
-
what is God speaking? What is he saying to you
-
to come? Don't ever say it? These people are too yeah,
-
or that is don't there's no excuses. Wherever we are,
-
the Lord is saying come now. Now will be with you.
-
But if you think it's difficult, nothing is impossible with you.
-
The team here will also have to work through different things. Oh,
-
if this is what you can do, let's see what
-
we can do or not. Now, how about working it
-
over time, not immediately, but over time, let's see what
-
we can do. So that's a part of the leadership.
-
But when the law cause you will make away for us. Amen, hallelujah.
-
But what is beautiful is I want to say to you,
-
don't think that any door is closed for your life.
-
God opens doors for you. He does whether it's something
-
you had a bad experience before. I'm sorry for those
-
bad experience I could be I could have been part
-
of that problem, or I represent the people who have
-
been that problem. And I want to say, forgive us.
-
Maybe we're not thinking clearly at times. Forgive us who
-
have you know made life difficult for you or people
-
I represent people would have made life difficult for you.
-
But I just want to say, hold, spirit is always
-
working in us. The Church of Christ is active, it's
-
living because Jesus is alife.
-
Amen.
-
And when he is alive, he wants you to live
-
your destiny, and your destiny that counts for eternity, Amen,
-
for eternity. What is it that's in your hands?
-
What is it that you know?
-
Perhaps you've laid it down, But maybe God is saying,
-
come alive again, and he's speaking to you, maybe through
-
a burning bush. Maybe he's speaking to you, you know,
-
through your circumstance.
-
Maybe he's using me to speak to you.
-
But all I can see when God calls you to come,
-
he doesn't do it because he has a whip in
-
his hand, but he comes with such love. Even when
-
he told Mary you're going to be pregnant, Oh my goodness.
-
Those of us were on look us going, God, you
-
can't do that. She's just a young girl. But God
-
had a plan for this young Mary to carry the
-
Son of God that one day would save us.
-
All Amen. And she said, be it unto me.
-
And so this is the prayer I pray, you know,
-
quite quite often, Lord, be it unto me according to
-
your word. Lord, whatever it is, Lord, be it unto me,
-
according to your word, because you have amazing plans for me.
-
Hallelujah, Thank you Jesus.
