  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. So, okay, I'm gonna start off with a question.

  4. Okay, afternoon timer, don't fall asleep on me because I

  5. will call your name.

  6. Although am I getting wrong?

  7. Ah?

  8. If I get it wrong, please forgive me. Okaya.

  9. The question that I want to ask us, and this

  10. is a searching question and I will gather some response

  11. from you in a bit. Okay. So the first question

  12. that I want to ask you is who is Jesus

  13. to you? Okay, I'm looking for genuine responses. Don't give

  14. me textbook answers. I know there are many textbooks answers,

  15. but we want to be real, Okay, So just think

  16. about it. Give you a moment to think about this.

  17. Who is Jesus to you? Okay?

  18. I'm looking at the clock. There's one nice red clock

  19. in front of me.

  20. So I'll give you another fifteen seconds to think about

  21. your answer, and then let's hear from your own journey.

  22. So I want to say that our journey with the

  23. Lord is a journey, and that means you might be

  24. at different stages of your life. So it's okay, right,

  25. that it's okay to just be real where you are. Okay,

  26. So definitely I'm gonna start. Do you sense the evil

  27. after as.

  28. The doctor Daniel go, Is that bringing on?

  29. Bringing on? Who is Jesus to you? A friend, a friend,

  30. close companion? Okay, Okay, cool, I have to ask my

  31. dear friend Low okay, my best Sie, my best Dye

  32. from Uni days, just who's Jesus you he's got, he's got, okay,

  33. God winning, Who's Jesus to you? Someone deeply intimate, deeply intimate? Okay,

  34. someone very close Okay, uh Joel, who's Jesus to you?

  35. Everything?

  36. Who he managed to infiltrate all parts of his life?

  37. Okay?

  38. Because everything, lash everything, every fiber of your being is Jesus.

  39. I think this is a.

  40. Very important question because some of us have never asked

  41. this question to the Lord? Who are you? Who are

  42. you to me? There is what your parents can say,

  43. there is what the church can say, what your leaders

  44. can say. But who do you say the Lord is?

  45. Who's Jesus to you? It's a very deep, intimate personal question.

  46. It's something that you will ask someone very close and

  47. intimate to you, because if it's someone like a stranger

  48. on the road.

  49. You were like, yeah, who's this person? Nothing?

  50. Nobody, right, And I find that this is a question

  51. that really would change and dictate how you would live

  52. your life.

  53. It would.

  54. How you view Jesus. What is the name that you

  55. ascribe to him? Will determine how you live your life? Okay?

  56. So you know, as we go through time, right, Jesus

  57. is well known. You know that Jesus very famous. Right,

  58. so some of the people they would ascribe Jesus as

  59. he's a legend trough not legend, legend? What does legend meaner?

  60. Go? Okay? Goat? So so last the last time I

  61. came here.

  62. It was not the goat but the deer that we

  63. were talking about, right right, right? So but anyway, he's good.

  64. You understand what God means or not? Young people are

  65. older people. I help you, I help you greatest of

  66. all time. I just learned it. Okay. So I'm saying

  67. power with you, saying power all these new terminology your

  68. goat okay doesn't mean they thought better, Okay, it means

  69. you're great. You're great?

  70. Okay. Was he just a legend?

  71. Someone who was you know, written long time ago, two

  72. thousand years ago, right, two thousand years ago? And someone famous,

  73. someone everyone actually, the whole world celebrates him. A hey,

  74. do you think about it? The whole world got Christmas? Eh,

  75. and isn't Christmas the time that we hear? Oh, there's

  76. this guy named Jesus. You know, he was a baby

  77. in a manger and then after that, Yeah, birthdays and

  78. gifts and holiday right, so he's he's very famous. Okay,

  79. so famous is one thing? He's a legend? Was he

  80. only a liar? A lunatic? What's my next? One? Liar?

  81. There are many people who don't believe in Jesus. You

  82. may know of Jesus, you may heard of the story,

  83. you know, all your little Christmas stories, but most of

  84. them don't believe that when he says that I am God.

  85. How many believe? How many populations do we have right

  86. now in the world, eight billin? How many actually thinks

  87. that he's got.

  88. Right? So I would say.

  89. Maybe about thirty percent who would say Jesus is God?

  90. And the rest makes him out to be a liar.

  91. That's it, right. It's either you actually take him for

  92. what he says he is or you're on the other end.

  93. All right.

  94. Some people think Jesus was a lunatic, crazy guy. Right,

  95. the things that he said, the things that he did.

  96. I don't know. When you read the word of God,

  97. do you sometimes find that hard to believe? Sometimes? Sometimes right,

  98. very radical things. Jesus says to the rich young ruler,

  99. What do you say to him? Go sell everything? Thank

  100. you very much, sell everything, and then come and follow me?

  101. What did the rich young ruler do? Or waila? Because

  102. he thinks sheesy Jesus means crazy. You're asking me to

  103. do something that is not logical. Can I tell you

  104. that God defies our logic? Yeah, sometimes he may not

  105. make sense to you. Okay, and you might think this

  106. is crazy? What give up my job in the corporate

  107. and join.

  108. Full time God?

  109. Are you crazy?

  110. Are you serious? How am I going to feed my family?

  111. Right? My husband already full time? Anyway, that's my back story.

  112. My backstory. Backstory is my husband was full time when

  113. I was pregnant with our first child.

  114. Okay, and then many many many years later.

  115. Then I was challenged with that that question as well,

  116. would you follow me? And of course I say it

  117. in my heart, I was like struggling with it, right, struggling, like,

  118. are you crazy. No. Yeah, so God had to deal

  119. with some things in my heart, you know. And then

  120. my husband also like very conjung I think you knownedla

  121. no serious st he's thinking medical benefit. By the way,

  122. I used to work in this big company, very great

  123. benical betefits.

  124. You know, all the kids were taken care of.

  125. And after that, you know, as I was thinking about

  126. this decision to leave that corporate to come full time

  127. with the church, my husband was the one who said,

  128. are you sure? Actually, are you're doing fine? You know? Yeah,

  129. you know you're you're already like serving the Lord. You're

  130. serving the Lord in the marketplace. He said, oh you can.

  131. I cannot.

  132. I don't know nothing like that. But but do you

  133. see even our family, close friends, you know, or sometimes

  134. cast out, is this really the voice of the Lord?

  135. Are you sure? Yeah? So so yeah, you know, things

  136. that God leads us to do, sometimes it just doesn't

  137. make sense. And so so I heard some responses from you.

  138. He is God, he is best friend, he's someone who's

  139. really intimate.

  140. He's everything. Did this one very deep answer? He is everything?

  141. Is everything?

  142. And then my question is that you see everything.

  143. In every day, in every moment of your life, you

  144. know where I'm going with this because I realized that

  145. we can confess and say something, but then our life

  146. shows differently. Okay, we can say he's my best friend,

  147. but is he really best friend?

  148. In everything? In everything? You know, in everything?

  149. And so one part of God that I want to

  150. bring to you is this is Jesus Christ, Your Lord.

  151. Is see Lord.

  152. And we're gonna unpack this a little bit later as

  153. we go along. Its Jesus Christ Lord. Because until you

  154. come to a place that you acknowledge him as Lord,

  155. then your life will still.

  156. Be the same.

  157. You can be the bestest Christian church goer, hide giver,

  158. ministry server, and yet still miss the mark until you

  159. know and are able to acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord.

  160. Do you know? It says right in Matthew, let's go

  161. to Matthew. I'm gonna turn to Matthew seven Matthew seven

  162. twenty one. He says this, Not everyone who says to me,

  163. Lord Lord shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he

  164. who does the will of my Father in heaven.

  165. So what does that mean? So because I let's let's

  166. move on, he says.

  167. Many will say to me in the day Lord, Lord,

  168. have we not prophesied in your name, cast demons in

  169. your name, and done many wonders in your name? They

  170. means you're doing everything in the name of God. And

  171. this is the scary verse. I want to give you

  172. the scary verse verse. The scary verse in Matthew seven

  173. twenty three says this, and this is the word of Jesus,

  174. he says, and then I will declare to them, I

  175. never knew you. Depart from me, you who practice lawlessness?

  176. Now where the guy is doing bad stuff or not?

  177. They were prophesying, casting out demons war Isn't that what

  178. we're supposed to do? But how come they missed the mark?

  179. How did they miss the crucial mark? Until to the

  180. point that as we are standing before the Lord, and

  181. we can call him Lord, Lord, Lord, we can sing Lord,

  182. we can say you are God. And yet Jesus turns

  183. around and says, apart from me, I never knew you,

  184. what a sobbrging thought right?

  185. And I feel that we as a church need to prepare.

  186. Our people to stand before the Lord. Yeah, it's not

  187. how well you start your journey, is how well you

  188. are standing before the Lord.

  189. And I want to give.

  190. You that confidence, right, the confidence to say that as

  191. you stand before the Lord, Jesus will say I know you, Joe,

  192. I know you, Jolene, I know you. Because many times

  193. we think.

  194. We know the Lord.

  195. But does the Lord know you? Does the Lord know

  196. you or not? And so so my heart is this okay,

  197. just catch my heart. I want us all to be

  198. ready to stand before the Lord if it comes back today,

  199. if it comes back tomorrow, we say, Jesus, I know you,

  200. I know who you are. Many of us have a

  201. wrong reception of who Jesus is, and we limit him

  202. to just a certain part. We know him, maybe as

  203. the good shepherd. We know him as the provider, comforter,

  204. maybe best friend. But I think there is more. There

  205. is more, Okay, so let's go. Let's go to the

  206. story of a transformation. And I believe God is in

  207. the process of transforming all of us a man. Do

  208. you believe that?

  209. Like I said, right, it's a journey.

  210. You start somewhere and then you're being transformed until.

  211. You meet with Jesus. Then when Jesus looks at you, right,

  212. he's not looking at Caro.

  213. He's like, I see me, I see me in her.

  214. Do you want to get there. I think we all

  215. want to get.

  216. There, right, there's a desire for that process of transformation.

  217. So let's go to the story of not a story,

  218. a real person that was truly transformed by the Lord. Amen.

  219. How many of you.

  220. Know Saul.

  221. Ooh?

  222. Okay, Saul? So how many of you like Saul before after?

  223. So is before after? I asked you, it's.

  224. Saul before after?

  225. Okay?

  226. How many of you like the before Saul? Not the best? Okay?

  227. Uh?

  228. In Acts chapter eight, it.

  229. Says that Saul was consenting to the murther of Stephen

  230. the matter right.

  231. He was there saying, good job, guys, kill Stephen. All right?

  232. So can you imagine if Saul came into the church

  233. right now?

  234. Hello the tympathy, I mister Saul.

  235. Any of you who says that you follow the way,

  236. come with me. I'm gonna bring you to Kajang, not

  237. for sate, but to the prison.

  238. How many of you would say, yes, no, serious? This

  239. is Saul.

  240. Saul when around capturing Christians, capturing those who profess to

  241. be Christians, and say, okay, you're saying you follow the way,

  242. that you follow me.

  243. To the prison, to.

  244. The dungeons, because I am going to capture all Christians.

  245. Do you know what? We don't like Christians. We don't

  246. like Saul very much. Right, but do you know that

  247. he was zealous for God? He was the most zealous

  248. for God. Did you know that? Why was he even

  249. persecuting Jesus Because Jesus, in his mind, was not upholding

  250. all the Mosaic law.

  251. He is known as the Pharisees, of the Pharisees, you.

  252. Know, the mean stop gurup rabbi for the Jewish loss.

  253. So he was not actually like someone who just went

  254. around persecuting Jesus. He was actually zealous for the things

  255. of God. And that's why I say sometimes as Christians,

  256. we gotta be careful. We can think that we are

  257. doing everything for God and still miss the mark and

  258. still miss Jesus. Right, That's what exactly Saul was. He

  259. missed Jesus. He didn't know who Jesus was. He knew

  260. Jesus as a fraudster, because what was Jesus doing bringing

  261. everyone to follow him when they should be following God

  262. of the Jews? Did you see there's a little bit

  263. of a discrepancy here, as a huge gap in his mind,

  264. his mindset, He's like, but you know, we must follow God. Yeahwey,

  265. he's not wronger Yeahweh. But he missed Jesus, who was

  266. part of Yahweh's plan. Okay, So when you pray for

  267. the Jews, can you just pray for them as well,

  268. because many of them have not recognized who Jesus is

  269. as the Messiah. All right, So this is exactly where

  270. Paul is, all right, So let's read xt Chapter nine.

  271. Hah Saul. Then Saul, still breeding threats and murther against

  272. the disciples of the Lord, when to the high priests

  273. and asked letters from him to the synagogues of the maskers,

  274. so that if he found any who were of the way,

  275. whether men or women. So don't think you can escape

  276. bout women. Kept to you, my husband, can you ready,

  277. men or women? He might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Okay,

  278. so bringing them to prison. Now, as he journeyed, he

  279. came near the Mascus and suddenly, ever say suddenly, suddenly

  280. a light shone around him from heaven, and then he

  281. fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him.

  282. Now, I want to start off.

  283. By saying, do you know that your journey with the

  284. lot starts with an encounter. There needs to be an

  285. encounter some of us, right, we come to church, we've

  286. been in church for a long time, but we've never

  287. encountered Jesus at a personal level. So it becomes someone

  288. else's faith. It becomes my leader's faith, my parents' faith.

  289. I want to speak to our young people. This has

  290. to be your own faith, a personal encounter with who

  291. Jesus is. And do you know, as bad as we

  292. all make it out, make us Aul out to be right,

  293. most of us.

  294. Right, if we were God and we had someone like Saul,

  295. what we.

  296. Do zepp him? No? Now, think about it. If you

  297. were God and you had someone like Saul persecuting your church,

  298. what would you do? Not? Very nice things? Right? I

  299. mean of course you will like lock him out, get

  300. him out of the way, right, don't let him come

  301. near us. Oh, but Jesus very different, No radical, because

  302. even with the worst. How did Paul later on describe himself,

  303. I'm the chief of sinners, the chief, you know, the

  304. worst of the Lord. Like if you can think of

  305. someone bad, think that that's worse. No, maybe make that

  306. one hundred times worse. And that's how Saul saw himself.

  307. Paul saw himself. Okay, so he's there, and then Jesus

  308. came to meet with him. You think about it, Jesus

  309. is not going to miss anyone out. If you think

  310. that you are the worst of the worst, the most

  311. hopeless of the hopeless, can I give you good news.

  312. Jesus is coming for you in a good way. He

  313. does not want to leave you the way you are, right,

  314. And that's why he came to Saul personally. He had

  315. an encounter with him, and so he called him by name.

  316. Do you think Jesus knows your name? He knows every

  317. one of us by name, so we call him Saul. Saul,

  318. why are you persecuting me? All right? And this is

  319. the question that led to this message verse five, And

  320. he said who are you?

  321. Who are you?

  322. Lord? Now, this might throw you off right in your Bible,

  323. you might say, hey, but he already called him lord

  324. war It's like, who are you?

  325. You know this what Lord?

  326. And this is what I'm getting at, is Jesus your lord.

  327. He already called him lord, but he still had this

  328. question who are you? So it's a bit puzzling right

  329. to say, hey, who are you?

  330. A father?

  331. Like? Can you imagine you go to your dad and

  332. say who are you father? Okay? So this lord, I

  333. realize is when he says this lord, right, it just

  334. basically means and a respectful term for someone with authority.

  335. So he recognized, right, he's like breeding threats and he's

  336. trying to put people in prison. And then something divine happened. Right,

  337. Is it normal every day that you have a voice

  338. from heaven like shining around you? If it happens, please

  339. tell me, she okay, I just want to hear your experience.

  340. It's not an everyday experience.

  341. But he recognized it's someone divine and he's so he's

  342. basically asking this question, who are you, sir? Respectful term?

  343. Who are you sir? Right? And so what did the

  344. lord say? And the lords? I am Jesus whom you

  345. are persecuting.

  346. It is hard for you to kick against the goats.

  347. Isn't that a very strange thing for Jesus to say, like,

  348. who are you? I'm Jesus, stop kicking the goads. Hey,

  349. we talk about so many gods.

  350. G O A T now god g O A d oh.

  351. So maybe God is the word of the day. What

  352. does it mean?

  353. Do you understand what it means? That it is hard

  354. to kick against the goadts. Have you ever asked yourself

  355. that question? Well, what does it mean? Tell me, I

  356. don't know where I appreciate you before? Not?

  357. Do you do you know what it means? It's hard

  358. to kick against the goads?

  359. Don't know? Don't know?

  360. Say, don't know that I tell you?

  361. So if you look at this picture, now, basically what

  362. is the god? So? Yes, why are you persecuring? So

  363. it begins with an encounter. So Jesus met with Saul.

  364. Let's go to the next like now in the olden

  365. days when they are these are farmers right, so they

  366. are plowing the land.

  367. Okay, what animals do you used to plow the land? Cattle?

  368. Bulls? Right?

  369. So they will yoke them up. Do you see that?

  370. Yog? And that's why a lot of the analogy in

  371. the Bible is using farbing energy. Right, Jesus says, you know,

  372. do not be unyoke with unbelievers. Okay, but Jesus says,

  373. take on my yoke. Do you want to be yoke

  374. to Jesus? Not yahn yoke? That means you're bound with Jesus.

  375. You know, do you want to be bound with Jesus,

  376. I don't know. Someone was like, Nola, it's too heavy.

  377. But Jesus said, I will carry the load. Because that's

  378. the verse that says, come to me, all of you

  379. who are weary and heavy laden? Do you see the

  380. conversation that the what Jesus is trying to say? If

  381. you god yourself to me, right, if you're tied to me,

  382. then I will carry your load. How many of us

  383. want that? We want Jesus to carry all the lord

  384. and then we free go into our own thing. Right,

  385. We're like Jesus, you said, the letlad then I can

  386. live my life however I want. But do you know

  387. that when you're walking with someone, you actually have to

  388. align your life with that person. So how many of

  389. us are actually aligning ourselves with Jesus? Walk up walking

  390. with him, walking with him? And so basically now all

  391. of us are like sheep who have gone astray on.

  392. It sounds like a song. It is a song, but

  393. it's also in scriptures. Okay. And the thing about us,

  394. right is we like to turn to the left and

  395. turn to the right corhy not as you don't do this,

  396. are you to do do it? As you don't look

  397. up everybody look up like that? Allah, right, don't look

  398. up that everyone to look up. So the farmer is

  399. asking the god to go straight? And what will they do?

  400. Go left or go right?

  401. Normal humans?

  402. Right, we like to turn to the left or turn

  403. to the right. Do everything we want to do. Okay. Now,

  404. the farmer has a device and it's called the God.

  405. The God is the thing that you see that farmer using, right,

  406. and it's a wooden thing. At the end of it,

  407. there's a sharp, pointy thing. And what does he do

  408. with it? So every time the goat the cattle that

  409. is walking together, when they turn to the left or

  410. to the right, right, the farmer will use it to

  411. prick ouch right. So you're supposed to go straight and

  412. then you turn. Let what would the farmer do? But ah,

  413. so that you will turn back to the straight and

  414. narrow path. Do you see that straight and narrow path?

  415. Oh?

  416. I want to turn to that right now. O. Cool,

  417. Now I'm going back on the straight and narrow path.

  418. Right.

  419. And So what Saul was doing at that time is

  420. whatever that he was doing with persecuting the Lord, he

  421. was kicking against the ghost. Now, how many of you

  422. if you kick against something shop, What will happen to you?

  423. Pay for on?

  424. And because he's struggling, right, he's trying like, no, I

  425. want to go my way, on, go my way. I'm kicking. Oh,

  426. you're poking me a kick, right. Normally, if something is

  427. spoking you, then you're like, mosquito, come to you. What

  428. you do You're like, oh, come, come, come, prick me,

  429. prick me, prick me? How many?

  430. What will you do to the mosquito? You wag cla.

  431. So as you're walking right, you have no visibility. Something

  432. is poking you behind. What you do you kick against it.

  433. You're trying to get rid of that thing. But Jesus

  434. is saying, why are you kicking at the goats? It

  435. is hard for you. It means you're gonna hurt yourself.

  436. And so what Jesus was trying to tell Saul is

  437. is useless to persecute me. If you continue persecuting me,

  438. you are going to get hurt, right, And Saul recognized

  439. this because this was a proverb use in the Roman sanctuary,

  440. so he understood this term. All of us don't understand

  441. that because we all don't recko one right, no bulls anyways.

  442. So so now Saul had.

  443. This recognition, is like, okay, this Jesus is someone else,

  444. And I thought, yeah, Jesus, whom I'm trying to persecute

  445. is someone different, someone not that who I think he is. Okay.

  446. So then so then that this becomes his response now right,

  447. So the thing is right. I don't know when you

  448. met with Jesus, how would you respond. Is it like, oh, okay,

  449. yeah Jesus okay? Or was there a genuine fear, a

  450. genuine astonishment, like.

  451. Recognition that who Jesus is?

  452. Because look at verse six he says, so he trembling

  453. and astonish, say, sir, what do you want me to do?

  454. How many of us as we encounter the Lord Jesus,

  455. our first response to him is what do you want

  456. me to do?

  457. What do you want me to do?

  458. It's not I tell you what to do, eh Jesus.

  459. You think about your own prayer life, how many of

  460. us the type or the pattern of our prayer? It's like, Jesus,

  461. can you do this? Can you bless can you do this?

  462. Can you provide? Can you solve this problem? But Saul's

  463. encounter with him was what do you want me to do?

  464. What do you want me to do. So he's catching

  465. onto something. Are you catching something? What do you want

  466. me to do? It's not what I want you to

  467. do for me, God, okay, catch that. And then the

  468. Lord said to him, arise and go into the city,

  469. and you will be told what you must do. Verse seven.

  470. And the man who journeyed him too, speechless, hearing a

  471. voice and seeing no one. So there's this encounter with him.

  472. Let's let's hear what goes on after this versus. Then

  473. saul A rose from the ground, and when his eyes

  474. were open, so you tried opening his eyes. He saw

  475. no one. Actually it was he was blinded at this point. Blinded, yeah, blinded.

  476. But they let him by the hand and brought him

  477. into Damascus verse nine. And he was three days without sight,

  478. and neither ate nor drank. Okay, Now, every encounter that

  479. you have with Jesus will lead you to this place

  480. of a deep search. Have you been there? Have you

  481. come to this place where you were in this place?

  482. You know when I read this verse nine, right, three

  483. days without sight?

  484. Do you think he see light or you see darkness?

  485. Imagine me?

  486. Imagine with me. Is it darkness that you see? Darkness? Right?

  487. You can't see anything without sight, and he ate nothing.

  488. He drank nothing. How many of you faster three days before?

  489. No food?

  490. No? No, it sounds like he was pretty desperate. Yeah,

  491. that spread for the truth. How many of you have

  492. really come to this place where you wrestle with the Lord? No?

  493. Honestly, I need.

  494. You to recognize where you are in your journey as

  495. a Christian all this world? Did you have an encounter

  496. with him? And in that encounter, did it leads you

  497. to a place of search, of deep search of who

  498. Jesus is really? Who is Jesus to you?

  499. Do you know that? I think that was his main question?

  500. What would you be thinking about if you were saw

  501. at the point? Think about it? Well, what are some

  502. of the thoughts that you might be having at this point?

  503. Habez aha?

  504. Just very honest. Habe is like, God, woe is me?

  505. What do I do? Forever?

  506. Black? Yeah? You know? True? Hey, actually it's true. You know.

  507. I tell you a story, real story. So my mom

  508. in law went for a catrick surgery. Uh, And so

  509. she went for one already, and she was fine immediately

  510. she could see after the surgery, right, So she was fine.

  511. And then she was discharged and then a few months

  512. later he went she went for the other cat track surgery,

  513. and this time, right after the surgery, she could not see.

  514. So guess what she panicked. She panicked, and guess what.

  515. Her BP shot up high. She's supposed to come home

  516. at three pm. One No, so her BP shot up high,

  517. and she's like, I cannot see, I cannot she's panicking.

  518. And so what happens was they sent her to the emergency,

  519. to the er and they say, okay, I think her

  520. blood pressure was so high on eighty, you know, hundred eighty.

  521. And they're like, okay, I think to be saved, let's

  522. do a brain scan and lo and behold, they found

  523. out that there was a bleeding in a brain. Okay,

  524. So a bleeding in the brain, it actually usually means

  525. it's a froke, right, But of course, you know, different

  526. doctors have different opinions. You know, normally, if it's like

  527. a high BP, it will not lead to a struck

  528. straight away, but there must be an underlying thing like

  529. But of course at the time we didn't know, right,

  530. we thought straight BP, heiden, you know, you get a

  531. bleeding in a brain anyways.

  532. So but she could not see and that's why.

  533. She panicked, And so Jesse is saying that, can you

  534. imagine if you're blind for treating you don't? Of course

  535. we read now in hindsight, we know a lot of

  536. three days out the day you receive his side. But

  537. if you're in that position, you're like, gone, I'm gonna

  538. lose my sight forever. What's happening to me? Can you

  539. say as the consjongness? Now, a little consjongness? Okay? What else?

  540. What else might he be thinking at this point? Feeling anyone? Don't? Noah?

  541. What is it?

  542. What did I do to deserve this?

  543. Very thanks for that, because that's all our question, true

  544. or not, especially when you're going through a hard time?

  545. What did I do to deserve this?

  546. Hey?

  547. Actually that's true. You know who is a man of God?

  548. I am doing everything for God? Why am I going

  549. through this right now? Right? So there was this real

  550. search of the heart and mind and He's just like,

  551. I'm not gonna eat I'm not I don't have epithite

  552. to eat nothing. I'm just in this place like looking

  553. for answer. I'm looking for answer the truth now you

  554. see in and can I tell you that that's a

  555. good place to be. I would rather you have that

  556. deep search than to go through your entire life just

  557. being on surface in your relationship with the lawyer, because

  558. nothing will change for you. No really, nothing will change

  559. for you if you live your Christian life just on

  560. the surface. I didn't not go deepler. No, no, no, no no.

  561. I tell you it's a good thing.

  562. It's a good thing.

  563. To go and engage, like I said, just now right,

  564. you want to go with God, go on hundred percent.

  565. It's at it all or nothing. You know, it's all

  566. or nothing. So don't play church, friends, don't play church.

  567. We want you to be fully in. And so Saul

  568. was fully into this engaging mode, asking asking whoever it

  569. is out there, what is the truth right, so that

  570. the deep work of transformation is happening right now for him.

  571. Now, guess what.

  572. There's this other guy in the character and his name

  573. is Anna Nayas.

  574. You heard of him.

  575. Good guy, by guy, good guy. But even go guys, right,

  576. God also wants to transform. Let's read verse ten. Now,

  577. there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananaius, and

  578. to him, the Lord said in the vision Ananaius, and

  579. he said, here.

  580. I am Lord.

  581. So the Lord said to him, arise and go to

  582. the street called straight and inquire at the house.

  583. Of Judas for one called soul of Tassus.

  584. For behold he is praying, and in a vision he

  585. has seen a man named Ananaius coming in and putting

  586. his hand on him, that he might receive his side.

  587. And what the annas say, Yes, of course I will go. Hey, no,

  588. I thought he's a good guy. He's like, yes, send me, Lord,

  589. here I am, send me. You know you always sing

  590. that song send me. And then Anonaius answered, Lord, But

  591. you know I've heard from many about this man, how

  592. much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,

  593. and here he has authority from the chief priest to

  594. buying all who call on your Name's serious, you know,

  595. He's like, Jesus, do you know how serious this matter is?

  596. You know sometimes we talk to hey, oh you know not.

  597. Do you know how serious this threat is? Don't you know?

  598. My life is in danger?

  599. What? What?

  600. What might en? And I is be thinking at this point,

  601. think about it, songs sayer you want to dire?

  602. You know, hey, Jesus, you.

  603. Didn't know he's putting everyone into prison, you know, and

  604. you asked me to go and lay hands on him.

  605. She's heer.

  606. Like I said, some people think Jesus is a lunatic.

  607. How is this possible? Right?

  608. But the Lord said it go for he is a

  609. chosen vessel.

  610. Of mind to bear my name before gentle house kings

  611. and the children of Israel. Then he said this, for

  612. I will show him how many things he must suffer

  613. for my name's sake. How many of us say that

  614. we want to be disciples of Jesus Christ? You know

  615. the song in the new song the second song? Is

  616. that a new song? The one the Son of Suffering?

  617. When it is new to Mila?

  618. I never.

  619. Just started this cycle? Wow?

  620. I thought this song was so edman, son of suffering.

  621. And so if you want to follow Jesus, h you

  622. will be called son or daughter of suffering. You know

  623. that's what he said, right, for I will show him

  624. how many things he must suffer for my name?

  625. Say anyone want to follow Jesus? Now?

  626. Why so hot? Wanna?

  627. I thought being Christians so easy?

  628. Right?

  629. I think we all love?

  630. We all like the love, love, stuffla grace and mercies

  631. knew every morning? Where is that pie?

  632. How come that's not in this message?

  633. No? No, Jesus is gracious and merciful, but the road

  634. to him is marked with suffering. It is because Jesus came.

  635. He didn't have it all on a bit of roses.

  636. That's what the message is. He went to the cross.

  637. He himself went to the cross, and it says that

  638. if you want to follow me, then you must deny yourself,

  639. take up your cross, and then follow me. Are we

  640. willing to do that? So something is happening, Something must happen,

  641. There must be a change and transformation.

  642. And what did anon Ius do then?

  643. In verse seventeen, and Annius went his way and entered

  644. the house, and laying his hands on him, he said, bro,

  645. bro from jess now jesey, now Jesus. If I go

  646. to him, he's gonna send me up to lock up.

  647. You know. Now he's like brother, brother Saul. What he said,

  648. Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on

  649. the road as you came, has set me that you

  650. may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  651. So there's this process. Do you see this process of

  652. transformation happening for everyone? Saul the bad guy, ann I

  653. as the good guy. Everyone needs to go through this transformation? Everyone?

  654. What is transformation? What? Okay? Do you have you heard

  655. of this word called repentance? Heard of it?

  656. Right?

  657. What do you understand by this word repentance? Tell me Christians?

  658. I know you can give me the textbo answer. Now

  659. I want a textbo answer. What do you understand by repentance?

  660. You turn? You turn?

  661. Okay, explain it a bit more? What is U turn?

  662. How would you explain you turn to someone who doesn't

  663. know Jesus? How would you explain it? Turn from your

  664. evil ways?

  665. Do you agree?

  666. Okay? Halfway there? You can turn? Okay, let's say this

  667. is evil way. This is the right way. You can

  668. turn from your evil ways and walk here? True? Is

  669. that what full repentance is? Then? What is full repentance?

  670. Turn away from your wicked ways and turn towards God? Right,

  671. there needs to be a change. Right, and the word change.

  672. The word repentance basically means matter noya. This is a

  673. Greek word matter noya, and it has this word matter.

  674. What is meta? Oh? You think about meta? Right now? Ai? Right?

  675. What is meta?

  676. Change?

  677. Oh?

  678. The answer is there?

  679. Thank you very much, thanks actually for helping your friends out.

  680. Meta is changed? What is the other word that you

  681. learn in school science. Meta?

  682. What a metamorphosis?

  683. This on?

  684. You know?

  685. Right? So what does metamorphosis mean? Change states the form? Right,

  686. the morph is a form. So you're changing from a

  687. state or the form of a larva into a state

  688. of a butterfly. Different form now, right, So that's meta morphosis.

  689. But what about meta no yah? What does that mean?

  690. What does meta noya mean? Oh, your untilsolarity. It's a

  691. change of your mind. It's a change of your understanding.

  692. It's a change of who you perceive Jesus to be.

  693. Do you know that when Jesus came on to earth

  694. right after he was baptized, he was anointed by the

  695. Holy Spirit. What was the first thing that he preached?

  696. What did Jesus preach? Repentance? He didn't say God loves

  697. your world. That's how we preach to our friends, right, Hey,

  698. God really loves you. Then you're like, so what, But

  699. Jesus came and came hard. He came and says, come

  700. and change your mind. There needs to be a mindset

  701. that needs to change because the Kingdom of Heaven is

  702. at hand. Because you know why, we all have a

  703. wrong understanding of who Jesus is. So let's not blame

  704. it all on Saul. All of us, even though you've

  705. been walking with Jesus for a long time, we all

  706. have a not a full comprehension of who Jesus is.

  707. So Jesus is saying, I need you to have a

  708. change of mind of who I am, and then I

  709. as good guy. He needs to have a change of

  710. mindset right of God's plan and God's purpose for Saul.

  711. Because most of us would have written Saul of Honestly,

  712. none of us would have given Saul a chance. Nobody

  713. would think that he's gonna turn around, Nobody except Jesus. Right,

  714. he says, I will have a plan for him, and

  715. I will show him how much he must suffer for

  716. my name's sake Verse eighteen. Immediately say immediately, well, this

  717. transformation is immediately. Immediately there fell from his eyes something

  718. like skills, and he received his side at once, and

  719. he arose and was baptized.

  720. Do you see that?

  721. You see how the Holy Spirit is the one that

  722. will cause our perception, our blindness to fall off like skills.

  723. And that's why our.

  724. Theme is revival right this year. Revival means it's the

  725. work of the Holy Spirit. I can preach until the

  726. cows come home. But unless there is the power of

  727. the Holy Spirit, you will not have the skills removed

  728. from your eyes. You will still be blinded by by

  729. what you think Jesus is or who Jesus is to you?

  730. All right, he received his side at once, and he

  731. arose and was baptized. And when he had received food,

  732. he was strengthened. And then Saul spent some days with

  733. his disciples at Damascus. Now this is the full transformation happening.

  734. What do you now say of food the Lord Jesus is?

  735. Who is Jesus to you?

  736. My first question? Who is Jesus to Saul? Verse twenty.

  737. Immediately he preached Christ in the synagogues that he is there.

  738. Who is he Son of God? Now do you understand

  739. the connotation of calling Jesus the son of God?

  740. What does that mean?

  741. If you call Jesus the son of God? What does

  742. this mean? What does that mean for your life and

  743. my life? Tell me His sovereign thank you for that. So,

  744. when you have this understanding that Jesus is God whom

  745. you are praying to, how will your prayer change? Now?

  746. Knowing that he's sovereign.

  747. It's gonna affect you, right, it's gonna affect.

  748. How you pray. Do you pray from a position of

  749. defeat or victory victory?

  750. How many of us pray defeat?

  751. The prayers like I'm not sure? Like God, are you

  752. sure you can do this? But do you know what's happening? God?

  753. Like Jesus isn't Nola? Do you see that? Do you

  754. see how when you look at Jesus as Son of God,

  755. as God, now your prayers changed.

  756. You pray now in victory.

  757. You're like saying, Jesus, I know you've got this. You've

  758. got this God, I don't have to worry about this anymore. Yes,

  759. I receive a report, Yes, bad health report does the matter?

  760. Yes, I'm gonna lose my job.

  761. But so what Hello? So what do you believe God

  762. is in control? Do you believe Jesus is in control?

  763. If you believe He is in control, then you'll say, God,

  764. I know you will settle this for me. Lack of finances, Jesus,

  765. I trust in you, even if I have to break

  766. eat bread and meggie me It's okay. I still got food.

  767. It's gonna be okay.

  768. Do you see.

  769. Do you see the difference now in how you perceive

  770. who Jesus is how you will affect your entire life

  771. when you know, when we say things like Jesus is everything,

  772. is he really everything? That means that if you lose everything,

  773. is he enough? I'm gonna say that again. If you

  774. lose everything that you care for, love, cherish in this world,

  775. is Jesus going to be enough? Because this is a

  776. very real question. Yeah, Because if you love something that

  777. is very deep, very dear to you, most of the

  778. time the question is why is this happening to me?

  779. How can you do this to me? God? Right? There

  780. is a misunderstanding of who God is.

  781. And then we go.

  782. Into this spiritual spiral and they're like, I don't know.

  783. I don't believe in God anymore. My faith is shaken

  784. because I can't trust this God. But the problem is

  785. we don't know this God. You see the problem? We

  786. don't know God? And friends, can I really want to

  787. encourage you, how many of you really believe that this

  788. is the word of God? How many of you really

  789. believe this is a word of God? Then how many

  790. of you read the Word of God every day? Do

  791. you see what you said, and what you do is

  792. completely different. You say, yeah, this is the most this

  793. is the authority, this is the word of God. It

  794. brings life, you know, it brings direction, it gives me peace,

  795. And then we don't read it law. So what are

  796. we actually saying. You're saying, that's a lilah Jesus. You

  797. know it's good for Jonathan, it's good for Abigail, it's.

  798. Good for everyone else except me.

  799. What we say. So now when people say things to me,

  800. I'm like, you can say whatever you want, but show me,

  801. show me how you live your life, because I think

  802. that is a true, true test of what you believe

  803. in how you believe it. Because okay, friends, I want

  804. to say this right in loving warning that we do

  805. not want to come to a place when Jesus tells us,

  806. I do not know you, because if we've never opened

  807. this word of God on our own, and can I

  808. tell you, I am very concerned when I hear some

  809. of my leaders tell me that the only engagement that

  810. they have with the Word of God is Scripture of

  811. the Day, Verse of the Day. How are we gonna

  812. build our faith when we just read that five minute

  813. verse of the Day and like, go about our day.

  814. Then is Jesus everything? Probably not? And you know it

  815. and I know it. He is that five minute that

  816. you think you owe him and then you go about

  817. your day. So then of course you're asking, but I

  818. really don't know. I never hear God's voice. Of course, law,

  819. you didn't go to this horse hello, If you never

  820. went to the sauce, then of course you cannot know

  821. God's way.

  822. You don't know what he wants for you. It's as

  823. simple as that.

  824. Right.

  825. If you never ask for.

  826. The person who knows the direction to go clang, how

  827. will you ever get to clean yourself? Why I go

  828. to klangl I so don't know.

  829. You think about it, you're trying to.

  830. Then my question is do you even want to get

  831. to Clang? God claim pe here not I don't know.

  832. We must go to Clang?

  833. Then you're he takes away from this sage. You must

  834. go to Clang.

  835. No no, no, no no. But you see do you

  836. see that if you don't don't have the word, a

  837. love for the Word of God, it's very hard to

  838. grow in our faith. Can I tell you every Sunday

  839. that you come here, It's not enough France, it's not

  840. enough for you to grow your faith, and then then

  841. we get very shallow Christians who doubt every single thing

  842. that happens in their life because you're not anchored in

  843. the world. So my encouragement to you is, can you

  844. really get serious with the word of God? Because Pasadan

  845. and Jess and the team cannot do anything to transform you.

  846. Only the Word of God can and the Holy Spirit.

  847. Right, it is that there's something that you need to

  848. do because God knows what you do on Monday to Saturday.

  849. They don't. And so how serious are you? How serious

  850. are you with God? I want us to get serious, friends, Right,

  851. we really need to get serious. We need to prepare

  852. our hearts and our days. Do you know at the

  853. end of the day, right this word Lord? Have you

  854. ever called God Lord Jesus as my Lord? Have you

  855. ever in your life done that? What does lordship mean?

  856. Lordship mean means you acknowledge him as sovereign, right, that

  857. he is God, He's in control, he's all powerful, he

  858. knows everything. I love to live like that. Man means

  859. I don't need to know my Shah. I don't need

  860. to think. Okay, God, I want you to think. Or

  861. so I said something from doctor DANIELA say, don't do things,

  862. no need to think it so hard? Okay, okay, okayay clarify,

  863. noned to think so hard? True? Do you know that

  864. life as a Christian can be very simple? Don't overcomplicate things.

  865. Just say I only know Jesus is God. That's it,

  866. and I'll follow whatever he says. That's it. Hey, true, No,

  867. it's simple, simple life. Not easy to do, lah, not

  868. easy to obey. But do you know, obedience gets easier.

  869. It does get easy, just like this obedience. The more

  870. you disobey, the easier it is. Obedience is hard at

  871. the beginning, but the more you obey, the easier it becomes.

  872. You know. And so wow, where did we come to?

  873. Right now? God wants us to live a life of

  874. obedience because you remember we read Matthew seven. Just now

  875. the warning I gave you the warning verse He says,

  876. no one who tells me Lord Lord will enter the

  877. kingdom unless they do the will of God. So how

  878. do we know the will of God? Friends? How do

  879. you know the will of God? The word? Not doctor Daniel,

  880. He will not give you the answer. Chat Jpit will

  881. not give you the answer. Claude, which is more powerful,

  882. will not give you the answer. They are confused. Do

  883. you know know this is a lot of news now

  884. about the Ai confusion because Ai is not God. God

  885. is God. And I wanted to bring you to this verse,

  886. and I think this is a very important verse for

  887. us to understand. Can you turn to Romans ten, Romans ten,

  888. Romans ten, Okay, let's go to verse nine. Er Romans

  889. ten nine says this that if you confess with your

  890. mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that

  891. God had raised him from the day, you will be safe.

  892. Are you familiar with this, firse? So sometimes I think

  893. that our lives as believers, we have not confessed Jesus

  894. as Lord. I don't know what you confess him as

  895. you know? What do you confess? Do you confess him

  896. as Lord? And what that means? The lordship of Jesus

  897. means every need will bow, every town confess that Jesus

  898. Christ is Lord. Many of you have bought your knees

  899. in your prayer before the Lord, in your prayer time,

  900. in your own prayer time. Because this position, what position

  901. is this? It's a position of surrender, It's a position

  902. of humility, It's a position of saying, God, you are

  903. my master, you are my lord. That's what lord means.

  904. You know you are my boss. And so when I

  905. am in this position, I'm not gonna say, Jesus, I

  906. tell you what to do. A It's more of like, Jesus,

  907. you tell me what to do? You tell me how

  908. do I make this decision? You tell me what kind

  909. of relationship I should be in. This is the lordship

  910. Philippians too, every knee will bow. I don't know if

  911. every Christian here has ever about your knee to the Lord.

  912. You don't have to show it here, but in your

  913. quiet time in your own room. Have you ever bought

  914. your knee to the Lord Jesus Christ? We say, you know,

  915. we like to sing praises. Right, you are Lord, you

  916. are God. But have you ever bought yourself and just

  917. acknowledged God? You our Lord, Jesus. You are Lord over

  918. my life, and that means you have control over everything.

  919. I surrender before you. Amen. Are you catching something? I

  920. think this position is something that I remind myself because

  921. if I find it very hard to bow my knees now,

  922. I don't know. Okay, there is for these kind of

  923. jokes going around here. It's like, are you oh, very

  924. painful now to bow our knees because it's creaking and

  925. aching through not think because I mean, yes, oh saying

  926. orthopedic alaraity. But even if it hurts, would you still bow?

  927. Would you still bow your body? Would you still bow

  928. your heart? Would you bow your mind to the lordship

  929. of Jesus Christ. Amen. So I'm gonna bring this to

  930. a close. I'm gonna ask extreme to come and be

  931. ready to minister. And I want to really minister to

  932. you and give you an opportunity to respond. Now.

  933. This is how I want to call for you.

  934. First one, I really believe that there needs to be

  935. a baptism of the Holy Spirit, because, like I said,

  936. if you've never encountered the Holy Spirit as a real person,

  937. you only know God the Father, you only know Jesus.

  938. What's missing is the Holy Spirit. And Holy Spirit is

  939. the one that is going to empower us to do

  940. what Jesus wants us to do. Amen. He is the

  941. Spirit of Jesus. Jesus is not here with us now,

  942. but the Spirit of Jesus, the Holy Spirit. We want

  943. to honor him, We want to give him room in

  944. our lives to work to transform. Do you know I can?

  945. Like I said, without the Holy Spirit, there will be

  946. no conviction. Without the Holy Spirit, there will be no

  947. change in your life. You're going to find it such

  948. a struggle, like why I can't do my quiet time?

  949. Why can't I read? Why is this bad habit so hot?

  950. Why can't I discipline myself with the phone? Do you

  951. know I think right? For many of us, this is Lord.

  952. For many of us, this is Lord. It's not Jesus.

  953. How you spend your time, how you spend your money?

  954. Is it?

  955. Did you ask the Lord?

  956. So the first group is this for those who desire

  957. for a baptism of the Holy Spirit. You're saying, Jesus,

  958. baptize me with the Holy Spirit, because Jesus said, I

  959. will send you a helper.

  960. Yeah, do you want to help her?

  961. We leave, we lead, and we leave defeated lives because

  962. we do not have the power of the Holy Spirit

  963. and acts. Church believes that all believers need the power,

  964. the presence, the person of the Holy Spirit. Okay, so

  965. this is gonna be for you. Just get ready to

  966. come up as we open the altar. Now a second

  967. girl of people, I sense that God wants us to

  968. come to a place of repentance. If you've never repented before,

  969. and what does that mean. It's not saying, it's not

  970. saying I feel guilty about something.

  971. Oh I feel sorry.

  972. You know I'm guilt laden right now, my emotions are

  973. sid no repentance. As you heard just now, repentance is

  974. a change of change off, change off, change off your mind.

  975. You want to say, God, I'm gonna change my mind

  976. about who you are. You are no longer just a

  977. good teacher. You're no longer just my friends. God, you

  978. are my lord, and I'm going to bow down to

  979. your lordship. That's what repentance means. Repentance means, I am

  980. bowing down to your lordship. I'm going to let you

  981. take over the will. That's what repentance and that call

  982. is for you. If you never repented before in your

  983. journey as a Christian, Today is the day. Amen.
