You're listening to a message to go from ex Church.

We hope this message will light up.

Your tea this morning. I really just want to you

to welcome the Holy Spirit in our mids. Amen. He's living,

He's really he's living inside of us. Amen. And this

is why we're who we're gonna be talking about today.

And this is the Holy Spirit. He's our best friend.

He lives with us. He's you know, he's here forever

with us and we should get to know him. Amen.

All right? Cool? So first verse first, first, first, first, first,

we want to just haven't just an overview of why

the introduction about why we are? What is it all about? Yeah,

what is it all about? And where did it come from?

So we're introducing the twelfth plus one called values. Now.

I think some months back in December and to we

did the unpacking of the church vision and the mission.

So again were just coming back revival to revive, back

to where we began and where God is leading us.

And so we we read about oh, we we were

introduced to the vision of the church, the mission of

the church, and the vision of the church tells us

where we are hated, which is what's our vision of

our church haberkurk to fourteen, that the whole earth will

be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.

And that is the vision of any of our churches,

is so that everyone will know the glory, the knowledge

of the glory of the Lord haberkook to fourteen. And

and and so that's the vision. And our mission is

the is the why why why we do what we do,

which is to make disciples. Where we make disciples coming

from Matthew twenty eight and verse nineteen to twenty is

Jesus says, go he therefore, and make disciples of all nations.

So everywhere we go we want to make you know,

lead people, help people believe in this, in this faith

in Christ, so that they can then make the knowledge

of the glory of the Lord to others. Amen. So

so that is the mission, the why behind what we do. However,

to get there, we need some fuel. Any car, right,

you need the engine, You need the fuel. And this

is fueled by the values that we have been laying

foundation on. The values are really the foundation Amen, that

helps us to get to our destination. And values. You know,

when you have values, these values help us to anchor

into our faith and despite many challenges. We have many

types of challenges, different trials, different opposition. The values that

we hold we'll anchor us, anchor our faith. Amen. And

so that is where we started twenty six years ago

and pass it kind of just didn't want to just

plan a church with using had knowledge, using experience in

our past ministries. He wanted the Holy Spirit. He heard

the Holy Spirit say to it this way, and so

we did it very simple, and we started right, one guitar,

three chords, one simple flaw. And he didn't know who

was going to come. Three people. Two people came, so

we had three three men starting the church. And so

we are not afraid of small We're not afraid to

start all over again. Because God is there where two

or three are gathered in his name. He's there in

our myths, Amen, and he hears us. And so we

had this heart from the Holy Spirit to is a

community of faith, hope, and love. Amen. And these are

found in your notes in the book. Amen. And we

want to see the knowledge of the glory of God

filling the earth. And this is why we plant churches.

God sent us out to plant both past them myself

are really called to be missionaries. But we didn't end

up going away. First. We ended up reaching a tribe

of people with their own language, in their own fashion

and their own style, the young people. So we started

doing that thirty over thirty one years ago when we

did that before we planted the church. Amen. So again

the introduction to this is these values are very very important.

They are the few, they are the essentials for the mission.

So we get to our destination. Amen. And all of

it is found in the Bible. Amen. It's founded upon

the foundation of the Word of God. It's not like

I like I do, it's my preference, I don't like,

I don't do. No, it has to be founded on

something more stronger, more permanent, more un very unshakable. Amen.

So we have these values. We can also say that

values are like character, the character of a person. These

values are the also depict the character of a person.

What is character. Character is who you are, who you

are in the dark, who you are when nobody is seeing. Amen. Like,

if someone see you, then you do all the right things.

You you throw the garbage into the bin, right you.

You you you arrange the chair, or you say good

morning to people. But when nobody is there, will you

still do the same thing. Will you open the door

for the for the lady? Would you open the I

don't know, would you do it? Nobody was there? Right?

Would you got your heart that way? The values is

who you are, the character, the man, the woman in

when nobody else sees, uh, and and and and you

know if you cannot hire who you are because in

the long run, it's either you have it or you don't.

And in the long run, people will be able to

see are you really someone who has that character? Godly character?

And so values our character? Amen, it helps us when

noone's watching, you are still anchored in your faith. Amen.

This is I don't know if you yeah, yeah? Values?

Character and so where do we get these values? These

values come from the Word of God, nowhere else, not

just our experience, not from not from because so and

so it's so successful. We have to anchor into the word. Amen,

because the Word of God is unshakable. Hallelujah. The Word

of God never changes. And you see in your notebook

and Matthew chapter twenty four US thirty five, Heaven and

earth will pass away, But my word says the Lord

will never pass away. His word cannot be shaken. It's

an unshakable rock. Jesus is the rock. Amen, allelujah. Amen,

I'll be glad that Jesus is the unshake of our rock. Yeah,

we can hold on to him. Amen. And you know

the Lord says in Psalms one three eight verse two,

the psalmisis for you have magnified your name above your word,

above your name. God's word is above his name, so

his word is unshakeable. So, Church, we want to anger

our lives in the in the world of God. And

that's where X has been built on the word. Not

us experiences. Uh. Yes, we can have good experiences God

experiences and encounters, but it should be confirmed. And where

is it found in God's word? That what's the encouragement? Amen?

So I just want to lay it down for us

so that we remember. So the values are key key,

It's like this key rocks, key values that help us

to get to our destination. Amen. So because you have

some key points there, I don't to miss it. What

is it? The fuel is the values? All right? Just

to help you otherwise you say what you're talking okay,

all right? Values? The character what we are you know,

and no one is looking okay, and where does it

come from? As I said, the foundation is in the

word of God. Amen. God's word never changes. We're so

thankful for that. He says, He is the same yesterday,

today and forever, and my yesterday, I see God the same,

and today he's same, and I believe tomorrow he remains

the same. Faithful Amen, Ah leelujah. So why why why

is it important to have these values that are anchored

in the Word of God. Is so that it can

help us to stand strong in the face of challenges. Amen,

we have to stand strong. Our foundation is on the

word of God, not just based on somebody's word clever

quotes famous words. No, because the Word of God will

last forever. Amen, hallelujah. The word confirms their experience. And

what should we be watching out for is that? Guys? Uh,

it's important for our for our in our Christian faith

to establish these values, to establish another way to put

it is non compromising stands, non negotiables in our lives.

Do you have any non negotiable stands in your life?

Ladies and gentlemen, do we do? Have we established those

non negotiables and maybe in discipleship we help we have

over all these years in our discipleship walk with our

partners in our church, we've discipled them to establish non negotiables.

You cannot compromise on these things, Amen. And if you

set it up early in your in your life, now

even your parents can teach you some non negotiables. For example,

a parent might tell a child to not speak to strangers,

so don't open the or someone you don't know. It

cannot be compromise. You tell them. Another non compromise is,

when you hear mommy's voice, you stop. You don't run

across the road. When you hear my voice, you stop.

I'm saving your life. That's a non negotiable. Hear my voice, son, stop.

So these are non negotiate parents teach that right. So

in our Christian work as well. It's parallel natural and spiritual.

They're parallel friends, and we have to help ourselves establish.

If you don't, it's it's dangerous because then we will

sway anybody say what or so can right? So we

cannot allow ourselves to compromise. So Hona encourage you not

just to So what we're doing here is we're not

just talking about it. You have some non negotiables. What

we're doing here is we're defining it and then we're

articulating it. Not yeah, we define it. We articulate. We

don't just say yeah, yeah, we have some non negotiable.

We don't just internalize and yeah, yeah I have it,

and then we don't actually, uh leave it you you

you have it in your in your head, but you

have don't practice it. So we want to define it.

We want to say, what what are some of these things?

And and and and articulate am I there or not?

Then I can grow in it, amen, some non negotiables,

perhaps just to help you experience understand where I'm coming from.

So even as a young question, a young believer and

a young I don't know when I can't remember I was, yeah,

sixteen or whatever. But through the church they teach when

I heard I didn't have had a leader. They don't

call it them people who help you grow your pastors,

your leaders, your cell group leaders. So you learn right

and you and you begin to not only internalize it,

but you begin to put down some thoughts and some

one of the don't get angry at me are ladies

and gentlemen. One of the early things for for me

was I was told to not to be to make

the choice of not dating a non believer now, not

because they're bad people. Yeah, nice and very good people.

But I have a faith that is anchored in christ.

Once I get involved with someone who's not a Christian,

then I might eye will compromise. Not that person's not

that person's fault. I might compromise. I might hurt the

Lord if I continue. So the non negotiable for me,

no matter how fantastic the gentleman is I cannot date

this person. Okay, there's one. It was a non negotiable

for me. Another thing was if it's a relationship even

when the person was a Christian, even if the person

was a Christian knight and I only dated the guys

who are Christian. But but they weren't always on the

same level of faith and vision and practice. And the

Lord spoke to me, which later we get to talk about.

The first care about the Holy Spirit. When I was

dating somebody, a medical doctor very would take care of me, well,

go no near maybe who knows family is very strong Christian.

But as I got within six months actually, so I

got to observe and get to know the person because

the person was very interested in me, so I, okay,

I give opportunity to get to know. But later I

found out that we're so different in our faith level,

so different in vision for life and I and I

was overseized that time, and due to some arrangements, I

was there and as I observed, I was doing my

quiet time, and the Lord spoke to me and said,

don't be unequally you and I'm like, who are talking

to Who's talking to me? Oh? I'm not anequally young?

This is a Christian? Bye. But I knew also in

my heart that this wasn't a practitioner by name only

because my father is a believer, and father is a

great evangelist and all that right, very strong Christian. But

the child, he himself, the young man, was nowhere to

find his own faith. And I knew then that the Lord,

it's not just because he's a Christian. I should connect

and carry on. Where are we at our faith level?

I wanted to serve the lot. I wanted to be

a missionary. I had served the lot. I just had

so much going for me back home in Malaysia. Here

when I was there visiting, and with that word, I

knew God was just alerting me to be careful to

make the right choice, and so I had to call

it off to the horror of the young man. Yeah yeah, yeah,

the horror. Yeah, you're so unhappy. His parents had to

come and see me and say all kinds of things

to me, and I just didn't know. This is what

the Lord said to me. So and so I tell you,

it's not just any If I just want to marry

any uncle, uncle and brother, I can, right, But then

you know any alimu, tou and a you know you could, right,

But but God also has calling for you and has

a leading. So my non negotiable was to hear what

the least be saying. I won'ted a non Christian. I

wouldn't continue with someone who didn't share the same level

of faith, vision for life, practices in life, for me

giving a bribe as well, No bribe, No bribe. Even

if I drove and I did a double line. I've

so many times made mistakes in my driving. The police

to stop me. I packed somewhere I shouldn't be packing,

and then they'll tell me, okay, sure, show me your

license and all that, and then they say I'm going

to summon you, and I say, go ahead, I'm wrong,

I should a salah, but he said. Then they look

at me in shock. Normally people say, dola, no bride,

give fifty dollars whatever I say, I should a salah,

I'm wrong, just just yeah, hit me with the whatever. Okay,

on you don't do it again. No, don't do it again,

no go yeah brea. Then they then they they know

no you Christian? Is it? Yes? Yeah? Then they know

they know the authorities know that Christians generally don't give bribes. Yeah,

they don't. They're not. And this is known now because

I went for as the director of our own companies.

We have to go for training, right and and they

talk about Briberry and they say and this like the

one giving the training say, but but no, the one

no people, the one in the Christian they never give breade.

Muslim lady telling us, you know the Christians don't give

you away. SUSA is very good for the if you

know that, they are very happy that there are people

who don't give in to do us as directors of company.

We can also do undercounter to get deals and all

that example. But you don't need to do that, right

if it's the Lord the law, open it for us,

but they are aware. So do you have a non

negotiable and giving a bribe you're driving a main mistake,

Just accept it and paid the bribe. It's your mistake

you made. I made a mistake. I chose the wrong

way to drive. I pay for it, Kate, don't always

ask for give. I can't say my arf okay, but

if I'm wrong, just hand it over and just paid.

Pray for the funds and paid. Yeah. So so these

are non negotia values in our life. It helps us

to stable stablers or hey, many students here you're going now,

you're in church, you're so happy and you're all you

are are right now, and then you're going overseas Nottingham

University in Nottingham. Whoa far far, far far far away

from passus Stevens and all all your leaders yere one

are something no negotiables that you won't date a non believer.

Number two that you want. You want a premarital sex,

very easy, nobody watches, nobody sees you get you hang

out with some guys, some dude girls and all the

guys as well. It's very easy to get together, very easy.

And then you think it's Okay, no you hurt. God's

heard you break his heart. We haven't decided now that

I won't no matter how how amazing the girl is

or how amazing guy is. I'm in love. No, you're

not in love. You just lasting after Come on, we

go homones. You know it runs. I'm old, but I

know what homemones are. Okay, I remember made mistakes, and

I'm telling you put the non negotiables in place. Ask

someone to be accountable. You be accountable. It helps you

a lot. Amen. So that's what I mean. Having values.

The values is the fuel. It keeps us going towards

hit our destination. When you don't have those values, you

might just go off the road of your destination. Then

you have to you know, God is still kind. You

bring us back. Amen. So those are what we should

watch out for, having non negotiables in our lives. Amen.

Moving forward, therefore, will come to our first core value.

We're starting with spirit film now it's called the twelfth

plus one core values. All right, twelve plus one number one.

We started with spirit fail. How you plant judge spirit feel?

How come it's not word feel first? Why not? Jesus there?

Oh give you explanation we give you the explanation. Okay,

it's spirit filled. Got my little dove that represents Holy

Spirit the fire core value number one spirit failed. Now

what is the heart behind this value? When you look

at the book of X, you'll see the title X

of the Apostle. Yeah, but actually it should be called

the ax of the Holy Spirit. The scene opens to

us where the twelve less than twelve, now eleven disciples,

the main the main apostles, right, the main Disciples and

all the followers, all you know, frightened and scared. She

bring going up in the upper room praying. And yet

Jesus tells them in X one force is to wait

for the promise of God. They're all gathered and they're

praying there, and they're waiting, right and and the and

they're asked and they're saying, Holy Jesus say, wait for

the promise of God. Amen. Wow. Wow. Jesus is reminding

them to wait for the promise of God. And they

are waiting. Although Jesus spend how many years? Three years

with them, right, like going to university, you know, three

years for for you graduate. Ready, you know, these guys

should have graduated. And yet Jesus said wait, wait for

the promise, right and get and experience this the Holy Spirit.

And so we we might say, hey, but Jesus is

the foundation of church, no doubt about it, no doubt.

But where does the book of X open and what

does the scene we see in the early Church? The

early Church was perth through the fire of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

So X chapter two is where we established and this

is the foundation where our founding team founding leaders have

planted and built the church based on the Holy spirits

leading Amen. So in X chapter two two to three,

it is am I right. Yes, Actually Apter two two

to three, the scene opens with them waiting and as

they tear it as they waited, and Jesus had gone

to the Father, and then the Holy Spirit was given

to us on planet Earth. Remember, my dear brother sisters,

the Holy Spirit has been on the earth weaver since

the day Jesus left. He has not gone back to Heaven.

He's waiting here for the coming of the Lord, very lonely,

you know, the only spirit because you forgot to say

good morning, Holy Spirit, Good morning, Holy Spirit. And he's

living in your heart. And nobody's talking to the Holy speakers.

We always talk to Jesus or Father God. But we

forget the Holy Spirit is a person, the third person

in the trinity. And so the Lord says, because Jesus

was in a human form, he cannot be everywhere anytime.

So he is Father says, come, it's time. You've done

what I sent you, what I sent you to do.

And then as you come, then the Holy Spirit can

come and he will dwell with us. He is the

guarantee living with us until the lot comes, and he's

helping us. Right. So just giving us just the foundation

where we definitely know that it is Christ who has

laid his life down for the church. But why we

use the spirit field as the first core values, because

it's the Holy Spirit that was the one that brought

that the breath of life, the new anointing into the

early Church. And so Act chapter two, verse two, you

see this saying the verse here. And suddenly there came

sound from heaven as of a rushing, mighty wind. It

filled the whole house where they were sitting. Verse three.

Then there appeared to them divided tongues as of fire,

one and one set upon each one of them. And

then verse and they were filled with the Holy Spirit

and they began to speak with other tongues as the

Spirit gave them utterance. So they were filled. And the

evidence of them being filled with the Holy Spirit was

the ability to speak in other tongues in the gift

of the Holy the language of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

And our church is founded on this, on Jesus, the

firm foundation and the infilling, the flowing of the Holy Spirit.

Because again it is the Lord who said in X

one four, he says, for John baptized with the water,

but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not

many days from now, a man, hallelujah. So he says, wait,

wait for the promise of the Father. And that's where

it all began. The Church k started with the Holy

Spirit coming and filling them, and then it closes with

them thriving and reaching the world. Amen. That the world

as it was at that time. Amen. So this Holy

Spirit who's living with us, is not an option. It's

not an it's it's like, oh yeaha is an option.

Ayah is an addition. He is important. He is essential

for each one of us and for church. If we

ever leave out the Holy Spirit, we have left out

such an essential strength, such essential power. Of God in

our church, in our lives. Amen. So ex church is

a spirit filled church. We believe in the Holy Spirit

who fus us and empowers us. Amen. So as you

see through the slight number one, he is the promise

of God. Hallelujah. Right we we we read there in

x chapter one and verse four five, Jesus said, wait,

brothers and brothers, there was some sisters as well. Anyway, wait,

he said, because there's a promise of the Father for you,

and it's the Holy Spirit. Before you do anything, wait,

wait for the Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit came.

You see that X one four. Holy Spirit says, this

is the promise. And then and then Jesus was actually

teaching in John chapter four. You read in fourteen and

fifteen and sixteen he preparing them about the Holy Spirit. Right,

because the promise of God is so that as you

have the Holy Spirit. He's the one who leads us

to Christ. Amen. And Jesus is at the center. Ah

lelujah Jesus. The center of our lives is Christ. Amen.

So he leads us to Christ, and he reminds us

of the teachings of Christ. What is this promise of God?

The Holy Spirit He reminds us of the teaching of Christ. Amen,

because we all forget, are you, Oh we forget? Yes,

it is miracle. They Forgod right, yes it is God

help us, and we forget. But then the Holy Spirit

who lives in you will remind you. Ali's remember remember

right like like like you know, telling us and reminding

us and guiding us. What the Holy Spirit does. He

leads us to Christ. Amen. He also teaches us. Amen,

he feels us, he leads us, he empowers us, so powerful, hallelujah.

I want to tell you from my own experience as

a student. Again, I'm not a I'm not one of

those A style like you know everything eight nine a's

and my time and my timer. But I was in

the top class, so a lot of level students around me,

all my friends. I'm there. I'm there, but not so clever.

Matt's very bad. But I was doing my SPM my

final year high school, and I really it just became

a Christian. But I felt the lack of confidence that

I can scoler. Okay, do you want to school? I'm

so competitive, yes, until now I'm still competitive. Must call yeah, yeah,

I'm doing my master's to have to scoll a right,

I'm so only I don't score it fail that now,

so I must finish well. Right, So I said, Holy Spirit,

I need help because I heard from scripture that John

chapter four and verse this six. John chapter fourteen and

verse twenty six. He says that the Holy Spirit will

teach you. He's your helper. He will teach you all

things and bring all things to your memory. So one,

because I'm not good in my advans, I took literature.

A Sign student taking literature, you're doomed. You're doomed, okay,

because you're all the science paper and then you take literature.

I tried art. My art teacher said, because it was

rolling in his grave. So I had to give up art.

I had to give up. It was so bad. I

don't know what I painted. She said, you can, you cannot.

So then I jump into you know, by choiceaid, okay,

I'll try literature, and I join my art class students,

you know, all my arts at the art side. I

was the only Sign students just taking that one subject.

You know, all of them in that classroom. I was

the only Chinese. They're all Indians. No Indian, sister's very

good to English. Yeah, my classmates today. They all whole PhD, etcetera.

That's how clever they are. Right. So I joined that class,

but I only join it from five, which means I

lost a whole from four. Oh yo, I say, how

so took my exam, but test you know, the what

you call the trials before you're and I fail. And

the teacher said, Sandra, just give it up, just give

it up so bad. No, she didn encourage me to try.

I think you just cannot make it, like, just give

it up. Then I'm like, oh no, so never mind,

I cannot. I know already admits I'm gone case with you.

I need. It's got every aid I can. So I say, okay,

now my mission. She's a Holy Spirit. Teach me. You

say you are my helper. Teach me all things and

bring all things to my mements. I don't know how

to do all my subjects. Same thing. I pray and

know this way, that's how I studied for five. Holy

Spirit teach me. Come on, students, you cannot do this

on your own. You need the Holy Spirit and tell

it is powerful. Again, I'm not like you so clever, right,

so I have this Holy Spirit teach me guite me

in holy spit. And so you just prailler, right, you

ask right and you trust? So I did. I studied

why I'm reading all these parts. Came day of exam,

took the exam, came day of results, got my results.

Who he he yeah, I'm just like all my friends were.

Got ala right, but thank you, thank you Jesus. I

got a because I tell you, and I took the

exam on the exam day. It's so funny. I looked

at all the questions and then it was weird. All

the questions that were that I could answer were all

about the little people in the people not important in

the book. Yeah, merchant of any don't know, some unimportant

person I wrote, and some other appetite story. So anything,

wow wow wow, right, alright, right right right, get right, hey, okay,

still don't know what's this? Right? And the teacher met

the teacher met me, and she said, so, what did

you get a? She wid, huh, So you're the only

one who got an A in the whole school. I did.

She was so shocked, she said, I said, what do

you mean? So my classmate mad a friend, goodfriend said,

and she asked me. So she called me, you donkey.

Why you call me donkey because you're the only one

who scored an A. All of us had a B

or C like, cannot be you all England very good

swan Yeah right, say no. Teacher said you're the only

one like, so become book prize winner for the school. Right.

Then she offered me Form six. Would you like to

do literature? No? Thank cute? I said, I'm gonna do

be cause susastra and basa. I'm like you are you

don't fool basa literature instead of English. And then I said,

why no, thank you. You would all say give it up, right,

But I tell you it was the Holy Spirit. He

just led me to go to this because nobody will

read about the meat. Who read about you know the red?

You know about all these small people? And I said, wow,

Holy Spirit. Oh, even my geography or we used to

have to do geography and my science papers just could

do it. I tell you, the Holy Space is your teacher.

Come on, students, auntie uncle here, you cannot do something.

He's your helper, helper, he helps you, he really does. Amen, hallelujah.

The Holy Spirit is our helper, and so he's the

promise of God. He leads us to Christ. He reminds

us of teachings, reminds you about the non negotiables. Hey,

come on, you know, girl, don't walk there, red flag,

red flag, red flag. Don't go there, wrong place to go,

red flag, red flag. Hey, don't remember. Don't eat that thing.

Don't eat that thing. It's not good for you. And

the Holy Spirit, the promise of God is the one

that feels us. And the Holy Spirit leads us. Amen,

this is core value number one. Holy Spirit, we are

spirit failed. Amen. The Holy Spirit feels us, and I

have to say that this Holy Spirit is also the

power of God. Amen. The power of God. Why, power

of God? In Zachariah chapter four, verse six. Zacariah four,

verse six. So we have the we have the promise,

and then now the power of God. Amen. In Zacharia

for six. Remember this verse. Every we always like to

quote this. Wow, we won't do anything for Jesus says,

not by my not by power, but by my spirit. Hallelujah.

Power Whose spirit, God's spirit? Not our hot spirit. Oh,

I don't know. We tryna no, not al hey my spirit,

cause it's not by my strength, not by power. Bye bye,

my spirit, God's own Holy Spirit. Remember, the Holy Spirit

comes from the Lord himself. Amen. So spirit filled. Amen. First,

even the church in the Early Church was first filled

with the spirit. Amen. Harleeylujah. Because if you say, don't

throw it holy Spirit, you cannot. It was filled with

the Spirit on day one, the birth of the Early Church. Amen.

And the Holy Spirit, who is the Power of God,

is our helper. Amen. He is our helper. Do you

know that Jesus had to tell us in John fourteen

in John or I want that verse? In John sixteen seven?

John sixteen seven, he says that, uh, it is to

your advantage that I go. If Jesus don't go and

he remains physically on earth, holy Spirit cannot come. He says,

it's to your advantage I go, so that the Holy

Spirit will come and you will live in you. Or

ever so, friends, a lot of us say I feel lonely.

I'm alone. All kinds are alone. Not the word lonely

and alone. I don't tell you this, Morney. Come on, babies,

come on, beloved of the Lord. The Holy Spirit is

living in you. You are never alone. Michael Jackson did

not write the song you are not alone. I'm here

with you. Now Jesus wrote that song. I am here
