You're listening to a message to go from ex Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Today we're gonna talk about word faithful, all right. Core
-
value number four is word faithful. And in order to
-
bring the idea of word faithful, I had these two
-
pictures for you, like okay, and then we probably want
-
to come back to these two pictures later when we
-
talk about it. What makes a building stand? What makes
-
a building go down? You know the the Highland Towers
-
back in nineteen ninety two. I was still working then
-
corporate and but it happened in nineteen ninety two December
-
December ninety four, ninety five, so December, and it really collapsed.
-
I think we could sent it I wooking kl so
-
so can't feel or whatever. I don't know. And it's
-
a it's a condo, right, three condos and this one.
-
And I have to say my in law, my my
-
father in law's oldest brother lived on tower in Tower too,
-
and he practically saw.
-
The building drop like that. And he has a heart problem.
-
So to to come here here, to slowly walk down here,
-
to slowly walk.
-
Down to get to his car to get away.
-
Unfortunately, his BMW was smashed with that building tumbling down,
-
so I think a bit scary for him, but he
-
was not affected. However, that his whole apartment, that that
-
whole building was tilted. Yeah, so they had to move.
-
Nobody could live in this highland tower anymore. You can
-
see it if you drive along Jalan unpunk Uh this
-
book it Antarabangsa up. You can see these abandoned two
-
buildings there. And only about two weeks ago the Veritas
-
Group architect group gave a report on this that it
-
will be now fully removed.
-
Right, they're going to bring it down. And we were
-
hearing the.
-
Reports of what happened and will this happen again, And
-
according to this architect, top architect, he said, this should
-
never ever have it should not have happened and will
-
not happen even though you build houses on the hillside
-
because there are measures now taken there and these measures
-
should have been taken anyway, So human error, building error.
-
But he says, you can build houses on hillsides, there
-
is the signs towards it, there's the engineering towards it,
-
and that it shouldn't happen, and people still build houses
-
and there's a way to build it, Okay, So just
-
keep your mind on the Twin Towers. And we're all
-
shopping there here and there, visiting, right, playing the wather,
-
taking friends to site. See, we're so proud, I'm so
-
proud the Twin to always bring our guests and then
-
we take photos with them there because it is a real,
-
real monument. Right, it's such an amazing site. But to
-
get to the Twin Towers, to be where it looks,
-
there has to be some work done.
-
We'll come back to that. And we're talking about word
-
faithful today. Amen.
-
Our part of our twelve plus one core values of
-
how ex Church has been planted and develop and growing
-
is this point of being word faithful. In Acts chapter
-
two and verse forty two. You can turn to Acts
-
chapter two, verse forty two, and it says here Acts
-
Chapter two, verse forty two. It says, and they continued
-
steadfastly in the apostles, doctrine and fellowship.
-
In the breaking of bread and in dress. Amen. Amen.
-
So we first started with number one US Holy Spirit,
-
spirit filled, second US Christ centered, third US Kingdom minder.
-
We want to have a We want a God has
-
restored us to sonship so that we can be the
-
disciples who share the kingdom and think about the work
-
of God.
-
And today is the word faithful? All right?
-
And according to X chapter two, verse forty two, it
-
says that when the first Church, the early Church, was birth,
-
this is what happened. They continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrine,
-
which is the teachings of Christ. Amen, all right, you're
-
too quiet for me. All right, you get me, and
-
that's it. My husband tell you, don't do this.
-
Andra, No, I'm sorry.
-
I'm born again and I believe I'm alive when I
-
celebrate God's Word, I'm alife.
-
God's Word is living. Are you living? Come on?
-
Come on, come on, come on, come on. I cannot
-
help it. I did not come to a cemetery. I
-
came to a church. I want my young people to
-
know that this church is alive. Come on, adults, are
-
you all children as well?
-
Come on?
-
Come on, the Word of God is living. This is
-
part of my point here. Jesus is alive. So wake
-
up and get ready. You just had a powerful time
-
worship in sense the Holy Spirit.
-
Now's word time.
-
You're going to celebrate the Word. Oh come, I'm going
-
to celebrate God's Word.
-
Amen.
-
And they continue steadfastly in the doctrine of the apostles,
-
which is.
-
The Word of God. Amen. So, so you know, the
-
Word of God is where we are founded on. If
-
we don't.
-
Teach you the Bible, if this church stops teaching you
-
the Bible, then.
-
This church is in trouble. If I'm just talking about.
-
My own opinions, you should just say, Lord help her, yeah,
-
and pray for us.
-
But no, we must always come back to the Word. Amen.
-
And we cannot do without the Word, because this is
-
the whole foundation of the church, the Word. So I
-
have a point there, the Word of God. This is
-
es central in the life of a Christian. Amen. Central central.
-
And the first thing we say is unshakable.
-
Amen.
-
God's word is unshakable. Matthew twenty four thirty five. Matthew
-
twenty four thirty five. Is in your notebook, you know,
-
heaven and earth shall pass away, Jesus says, by my
-
word will remain by a bite. Amen, Praise the Lord.
-
His word, by no means will pass away. So maybe
-
we might say a lot of things. I don't know
-
why this and that. I don't know whether this is
-
Jesus do whatever are you're disbuilding this house.
-
This, all of this will pass.
-
But the word of God that has been spoken, has
-
been taught to us, will not pass away.
-
Amen, will not pass away. It's a living word. Amen.
-
And so I move on very quickly. It's not that
-
you don't know this.
-
You know this, but we're just establishing the word of
-
God is unshakeable.
-
Amen. Number two, Jesus is the living world. Amen. Hallelujah.
-
Jesus is the living world.
-
It's not our pet dog, all right, bunny rabbit.
-
No, the living word is Jesus.
-
Amen.
-
And you read that in John, isn't it in first John?
-
In John chapter one? I lost my John? All right
-
with John? John, come out all right? It's John chapter one.
-
I Yeah. In the beginning was the word, and the
-
word was with God, and the word was God. And
-
then the word became flesh whoa, and he dwelt among us,
-
and we beheld his glory, the glorious of the only
-
begotten of the Father. Jesus was full of grace and truth.
-
Amen.
-
So the word is living because Jesus is the living word.
-
Amen. And that's who's living in you, the word of God. Amen.
-
I think we we are so forgetful. We have to
-
encourage each other. Hey, Puss, even Jesus is living in you.
-
He's a living word.
-
Amen. And we forget that He's a living word and
-
we live like we did ham On. Yeah, I know,
-
someone I also forget that every time you can, Yo.
-
But no, Jesus is the living Word.
-
That's why you know our faith in him is unshakeable.
-
Amen. As long as we anchor more more than anything
-
in Jesus. Amen.
-
And of course he's the Word of God. Is the living,
-
is living and powerful.
-
Amen.
-
How you know we might not have uh, we might
-
not be let a kungfun in jails with the with
-
the sword, but.
-
We have the sword right. The living Word is powerful. Amen.
-
Yeah. How I think we have to get a bit
-
more illustrative sometimes because God's word is living and powerful.
-
This is the sword of the Spirit. Amen. And Hebrews
-
four twelve, Hebrews four twelves is the Word of God
-
is living. Amen.
-
It's the reminder to all of us that the Word
-
of God is living, is powerful.
-
Amen. And it's shopherd than any two edged sword.
-
It pierces between even the division of soul and spirit
-
joints and marrows, and it discerns the thoughts and intents
-
of our hearts.
-
Only God's word.
-
Nah, I tell you, every time you and I read
-
God's Word, that's what happens. This sword, this word is
-
like a double aged sword. You know, most thods are
-
what most words are like. But this is okay. So
-
it's double agent sword, all right, two sides of the sword.
-
And that's why sometimes people are scared to read the
-
Bible because you know, but then again, all right, because
-
it's a double aged sword.
-
It discerns our hearts.
-
I want to tell you every time you read God's
-
so it's not just you reading one way. It also
-
speaks back to us, and it discerns our hearts. No
-
one can discern your heart, no one. No, not your wife,
-
not your beloved husband, no one.
-
Only the spirit of God.
-
And that's why the word of God's living, because the
-
spirit of God is in the living Word. It's not
-
just a printed Bible. It's truly God's Word, all right.
-
And and and and I want to tell you that
-
if you if you didn't already know, but this is
-
a living, living word. It's how do I say it?
-
I heard a testimony of this great preacher called Derek Prince.
-
The older generation might know of him, or you might
-
see it on YouTube. You know, Derek Prince, before he
-
became a Christian wasn't a believer.
-
He had a sickness.
-
He worked in he was in the army and a
-
British army, and then when he came out, I think
-
he was very very ill, very sick.
-
Nothing could be done, probably dying, and.
-
He had a visitation, I think, an encounter of God,
-
and the only thing that he could do was to
-
read God's word. Would you believe it? He read it
-
cover to cover and the word of God healed him,
-
healed him.
-
I believe it.
-
I believe it if we would only just because there
-
was nothing else for him already nothing, so what could
-
be was there to lose?
-
Right?
-
Readler, although he was so unbelieving, and as he read
-
cover to cover, he shed this testimony that the healing
-
in his body began to take place and he became well.
-
He became a great preacher. He's a great teacher of
-
the world. You can google him on YouTube online.
-
You get a lot of his messages.
-
I think I had the privilege many years ago in
-
our church, our home church, I think he came once
-
maybe uh, and very powerful preacher, teacher. The word of
-
God healed him personally. I've experienced that when I had
-
assists in my ovary and the doctor said, I don't
-
know a lot of seas. I'm like, can a child
-
of God known for us, not a Christian? And I said,
-
he said, okay, get you go back one month, don't
-
know how many months, and then come back and we
-
check again.
-
And I said, Lord, this can't be. I'm your child.
-
I cannot have any of these things.
-
So every day I would take the word of God
-
and declare over my life, over my body, because it's
-
not just a piece of flesh. It's a living body
-
that can hear the word of God. Now speak into
-
my womb, speak into my ovaries, and say, hey, sis
-
out you go in Jesus name, Salah packing. No pucking
-
any Salah packing. It's not the right pucking place. Fuck
-
yourself out of my body. It's not men to be here.
-
By the stripes of Jesus, I'm healed. And for a
-
woman to have a cist over it, it's really it's
-
just bad news, la, all right. And I'm like the
-
woman with the issue of blad every day bleeding. Okay, sorry, man,
-
but you know it's just not fun. Not life is tough,
-
and many women go through this. I say, God, I'm
-
gonna claim that. Promise you heal that woman with the
-
issue of blood. As I read God's spoken to my body,
-
I can only testify after some years. It wasn't immediate,
-
but over time. Just what day I realize it's gone.
-
It's gone.
-
And then I told the doctor and he said, m m, yeah,
-
it's gone. And then the cis had gone as well.
-
The first one was that sis it this gone? After that, yeah,
-
then the bleeding stopped, but it came back again. So
-
now mind claim again. And then he said, so why
-
you came. I just wanted to, you know, check.
-
And I'll still pray. And now went back to him
-
because Good Lord healed me. Amen.
-
So honestly God's word, even declaration. Reading it and don't
-
read it with your eyes, read it with your voice,
-
speak into it. Read it louder than so that your
-
ears can hear, and then your spirit can hear and
-
your body can hear because it's living. Believe us, the
-
beloved of the Lord in this room. The word of
-
God is living. It's not just a book that you're looking.
-
At words, it's living word.
-
It's Jesus came in the flesh, he walked with us,
-
and now he gave us the Holy Spirit, our helper.
-
He helps us and got revealsed to us. That's why
-
double it just thought. While we can go this way,
-
it can also gone back this way. Cut all the
-
fat Amen, Yes, I wish, and all the misterial facts God,
-
and now we lost all our facts, right muscle, And
-
so we want to build that spiritual muscle because God's
-
word is living. And then it's Jesus who is the
-
word speaking to us.
-
Amen, Praise God.
-
So it is so central for our lives. Hallelujah. It
-
cannot be anything else. Friends, We need to anchor into
-
our Jesus, who is the Word that was made flesh.
-
No matter what you go.
-
Through, Grand sisters, the love of the Lord, go back
-
to the Word of God. Anything you're going through, go
-
back to the Word of God.
-
It is relevant.
-
And many times people say it's not relevant. It's an
-
old book, it's something gone and dead.
-
No, it's a life. It's living.
-
Amen. And I tell you, until you fully experience it,
-
you may not believe what I'm saying until you fully
-
this Bible. You know, as a sixteen year old, seventeen
-
year old reading the New Testament cover to cover, chapter
-
from the Gospels, from the Book of First Book Matthew,
-
all the way to the Book of Revelation as I
-
read it as a teenager, the Lord just cleansed my
-
life and set me on a path to walk with him.
-
Did I have my ups and downs?
-
I did? Did I fail?
-
Yes? You know I liked my mom. That kind of
-
story and all that. Right, a teenager, you go through that.
-
But the Word of God was established to that and
-
could always come back to God's word.
-
Can I hear an amen? You can always come.
-
Back to God's word. It's unshakable. If there's anything in
-
your life that's shakable, friends, turn your eyes back to
-
the living Word of God again. It is Jesus Amen,
-
God's word that you plan in your heart, Read, memorize scripture.
-
Allow God's word to work in us. It is unshakeable.
-
You are faith. It will be also unshakeable even in
-
the midst of the tsunamis of our lives, even the
-
real buildings sunami will wake and beat it up. Right,
-
But the spiritual tsunamis are very heavy on our lives.
-
Many hardships will come and we cannot feel we cannot
-
go through it. But it's the Word of God that
-
sustains us. Brand sisters, Really, really, it's really that there
-
will be a lot of hard times we might go through.
-
Then why does the Word says they concentrated on the teaching,
-
the doctrine of the apostles, the teaching. So these are
-
Jesus is teaching to us?
-
Amen? All right, are we good?
-
So in your I know you want to write notes,
-
Maybe you can, maybe you can't. So I just put
-
their word of God first, one unshakable, but it is Jesus,
-
the living word, followed because he's the living word. Third
-
point that it's the Word of God is living and
-
powerful because it's like a double edged sword. You one
-
healing your body, it will it will bring that healing.
-
Amen.
-
If you're dealing with issues of the heart, the intents
-
of our heart, it also only the Word of God
-
can search our hearts and tell us the truth.
-
Friends.
-
If we are going through jealousy, word of God will
-
discern it. If we're going through pain and offenses, the
-
Word of God will also discern if we have been
-
hurt and broken. Also the word of God discerns it
-
and brings healing or brings correction, meaning hey, do something
-
about it. This is the powerful, living word of God.
-
There's no other word, no other Bible, not no other
-
book but the Bible. This is the Word of God.
-
Amen. Now point number.
-
Two on your notes if you're taking notes. Yeah, sorry, yeah,
-
there's a point there, but I think I'll bring it
-
in later. Yes, no, yes, I Also one thing we
-
realize about the Lord is in some one three eight
-
in your notes book verse two.
-
No, we think, oh, the name of God, no name of.
-
Jesus, very powerful. But guess what, the Lord magnified his
-
word above his name. So so his name is great
-
ready right in the name of Jesus be healed, powerful, Right,
-
But the Lord magnified his word above his name. Mean
-
his word is eternally there for us is the name.
-
The word is above his name. There is God himself
-
magnified his word above his name. So I don't know
-
how to emphasize us that there is such strength and
-
power such you know, come such a summit of like
-
number one word of God God. So why are we
-
word faithful because God thinks his word is faithful.
-
Is important. Amen.
-
So then we come to the next point. We talked
-
about two parts of being word faithful. And we've read
-
this many times. Don't you always here, hey, don't me
-
just hear as la be do words?
-
Okay? All right?
-
And you and you hear that in James chapter one,
-
verse twenty two, twenty five, and you can read that's
-
also in the notebook, so that at least you can
-
read it.
-
So he says, yeah, but be doers of the.
-
Word and not hearers only deceiving yourselves. Or if anyone
-
is a hero of the word and not a doer,
-
he's like a man observing his natural face in a mirror.
-
He observes himself, goes away and immediately forgets what kind
-
of man he was.
-
But he looks into.
-
The perfect law of liberty and continues in it. And
-
he's not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the word.
-
This one will be released in.
-
What he does. Now, let's break it down. Number one,
-
at least be a heroller. Okay, you say, I cannot
-
do okay herella here cannot can hear an of us?
-
At least hear the word of God. Amen, hear what
-
the word of God? At least be a hearer. Hello,
-
All right, let's at least hear the word of God,
-
and and and and and you know, never never run
-
away from it, at least here so that when you hear,
-
you get a glimance of who the Lord is and
-
what he's saying to us.
-
Amen.
-
And and as we hear, we are because every time you
-
open your ear gate, you're hearing a lot of news. Anyway,
-
you're getting a lot of information every day at your workplace,
-
your family. Now people speak over your life. You know,
-
last time, say you you call your son some wrong name, right,
-
those days, those there's a you know, I'm a Cantonese, right,
-
So we call these names sometimes you know, uh, now
-
they name the child or so like that. You know.
-
But but we don't want to speak that over our
-
like oh your death or your your dog nolah.
-
We have a name so important name our children well, right, So,
-
so the word right is.
-
So important to hear because you want to hear the
-
word of life. So at least hear the word of life.
-
So many negative words are spoken over us, and we
-
also sometimes hear negative things about our own country.
-
Our Malaysias are gna. And it's only the Malayians who
-
say that.
-
Nobody else right, everybody else thinks our country is divine,
-
you know because like all the best food right, oh
-
to tower, us best beaches whatever?
-
Right, so good?
-
Right, But we are the ones who will say who
-
when we hear negative, we also live negative. But we
-
want to hear what the word of God says to us,
-
and not just words of men. Many times we are
-
we are so pressured to hear the world's words, what
-
they think we should do, how we should live, how
-
you should you know, practice your marriage or your job,
-
or your career or whatever. Right, So we are whose
-
word are we hearing? So what we want to at
-
least encourage is at least hear the word. Don't be
-
of hearing the word of God, although I know many
-
people are tet of hearing the word of God. Gone,
-
yes so again, come on always talking here? So no
-
I have to sorely because yes, so is living and
-
he's our life.
-
Amen. Sorry, I gone yeah so all the time?
-
Are you? But because that's all I've experienced that has
-
given me life.
-
Amen? So the world will always attack the word of God.
-
The world will attack and blame and say this is wrong,
-
this and that, this and that, And then if you
-
are we are in the world, but not of the world.
-
And then you are so caught up right because I'm
-
asking you, who are you listening.
-
To all the gurus, ted talks, all these talks.
-
You're listening to all these good stuff to the point
-
that you might just put aside God's word. And then
-
then you you're hearing all the financial gurus, and you know.
-
How to do your business well, how to live well?
-
Mental wellness, So many mental wellness talks these days. How
-
to make more money, faster and quicker? Are you so
-
many things? How do you know?
-
Love better? Eat better? You know, exercise better. It's all
-
about you.
-
It's all about your body and that you just want
-
to look great.
-
But friends, you're rotting inside. You are rotting inside.
-
I'm rotting inside because we're not putting the real food.
-
This is the word.
-
That at least healer, I mean you say, are you
-
were hard to do? Heala here and then let the
-
Holy Spirit work in us changes, he transforms us. How
-
do we get transformed? Not by transformer, Captain Marvel whatever,
-
It's a word of God. But so few of so
-
many God's children don't read the word. We don't. That
-
is the truth. That is the truth.
-
I'm not condemning you.
-
I'm saying me too sometimes like but we have to
-
try to really put discipline.
-
And you know, if this is my lover, what I mean,
-
my lover. So I have to read the world from
-
the love of my soul. I was reading from my boyfriend, right,
-
our boyfriend.
-
You know, boyfriend?
-
Why are you no boyfriend?
-
Okay, all right, No, this Jesus is the one whose
-
love of your soul?
-
Do you need this?
-
You read this so that you know how loved you are,
-
how much beautiful pants you are? Who are you listening to?
-
And and I know it's tough. That's why we don't
-
make time. Because you say I's borrowing so dry. I
-
can't read Levetic because I'm dead so hard.
-
Then you read the math?
-
You be God, be God, We God be good? Be
-
got you know so hard? And we can and you see,
-
you can you see the point because it is life.
-
We are hindered all the time because it is true.
-
The more it is true, the devil will make a
-
hindrance for you.
-
And then we will keep saying it's boring, it's dry. O. Man,
-
it's like so yesterday. I'm so done right, so yesterday. No,
-
it's a today word for you.
-
It's living.
-
I'm still living, friends, right, and I met Jesus forty
-
over years ago. He's still the same word, and I'm
-
still here.
-
It's in.
-
I'm still running. The favor stepped out of the grave
-
and I'm still running. Because he's just so good. Come on,
-
He's better than Durienne go one, is better than the
-
good Diver ice cream.
-
Come on, come on, He's just so good. Yeah, so
-
long as we come our restaurants so good, right, like,
-
oh that candy is so good? All right, he's so good.
-
He's just that good.
-
Can't beat it. Better than my nasillama, Oh my non yak.
-
He's just so good because he's living. Amen.
-
And therefore here because you are going to get a
-
lot of voices coming around you. How to be word faithful,
-
hear the word of God. Then number two is we
-
do the word of God, faithful to God's word, to
-
do God's work. What do you mean by do God's word? Bro?
-
Don't know.
-
Well, if you look in a mirror and you see
-
a spot there.
-
What you do? You clean it. That's why I don't
-
wear makeup because I'm just touching my face and all
-
the makeup is gone. So when you're looking your face
-
a mirror and they're like, oh, there's a spot, and
-
then you spot it off right.
-
So God's words like a mirror.
-
When you read it, it reflects this is this is
-
who you you ought to be. And then you go, yeah, man,
-
I was so rude my mom yesterday. I need to
-
go say sorry. But then you say, yeah, I was so.
-
Rude my mom. Neh, walk over.
-
And then then you're like use lasla right you you here,
-
and then you go like, I can't do it, can't
-
touch this.
-
Then you walk away.
-
But now it's sayings like that mirror, if it shows up,
-
you sure clean one, ma, unless you really don't clean
-
your face, like I'm sorry. It's like a mirror and
-
you see it and you go like, yeah, shucks, I
-
gotta clean it up.
-
I gotta clean my face. I gotta get my act together.
-
Amen. And so that's why James says be a doer
-
of God's word. And when we hear God's word, the
-
hearing also is because you are reading you are hearing,
-
and then as you hear God's word, you go like, wow, okay,
-
I need to help that person. That person is not
-
very liked by others. But the Lord is saying go
-
to that person and help him, because not many people
-
will help him or do something right. Maybe a lot
-
of things is just reflecting who we aren't and we
-
all have different struggles. We all have different challenges, but
-
we want to be able to hear the word and
-
then take steps to do it. Faithful, be faithful to
-
God's word. Amen, all right? And then I'm going quickly
-
because these are things you know you got pasta I know, yay,
-
all right, hey, so good do it? All right, let's
-
all do it. Let's all bear the fruit of the spirit.
-
All right, somebody slap you slap them?
-
No, don't slap that bag. You're like, I dare you?
-
All right?
-
Well, humility like, okay, sorry, I don't do it again.
-
But yeah, we want to be the hearer and a doer. Thirdly,
-
very important is the world is the third point on
-
your notebot, is the word is an anchor in a
-
changing world. Come on, the Word of God is an
-
anchor in a changing world. Amen.
-
So the world is moving very quickly.
-
Uh. I don't know if you're a university if you
-
heard this or I said, I think I'm not sure
-
ever spoken. It's a vukah world. It's just volatile. It's
-
constantly changing, you know, things happening so fast. Today it's
-
this AI program tomorrow like holyz, Like I can't catch
-
up with the AI stuff that's happening, web based whatever.
-
And then I have to learn it because I'm a
-
teacher now. So they asked me to create something with
-
that thing just yesterday, and I told the team, guys,
-
you play with it. I pay, but you have to try, Okay,
-
you know, prompt it rightly. But then there's another one
-
coming up, alumna, I see how to learn all one shot? Right,
-
world is changing good things and also the things that
-
challenge us, and the world will challenge you, will challenge
-
God's word all the time. I'll tell you what it's
-
like to be challenged right, uh, because because if you
-
stand on God's then you know those truths like what
-
is important, Like there are a lot of things that
-
the world will say like abortion is okay. It's so
-
where's your routing is okay? Then what's your where do
-
you hold on this shift shifting sand? Do you want
-
to live your life in shifting sand all the time?
-
Bortion is okay, it's just an egg. Is it really okay?
-
Nobody gets hurt? Yes, you do emotionally. The one who
-
got that abortion will be emotionally traumatized or have pain.
-
LGBT is okay. It's not my stand friends, it's the
-
word love the person, but not the action. God loves
-
the person, not naturally the actions. What else that shifts?
-
Maybe marriage and divorce. Divorce is okay, No, it's not okay.
-
People get hurt. Our children get hurt the most. Oh,
-
there's no such thing as creation. If we were all
-
from apes our cousins, well, good on you if you
-
like them to be your cousins. But God has a
-
word on creation, science and the solar system. If you
-
think it's just the big bang, fury, good on you.
-
But there's a Bible here that tells me how who
-
made it? On your health and your wellness. Bible also
-
tells you how to God your health. The word of
-
God is stable and is trustworthy, right, And that's what
-
I have there.
-
It is stable and it is trustworthy. Amen.
-
Why do I say that because things are going to change.
-
A lot of things are going to The voices in
-
this world will tell you this is how to raise
-
your kid.
-
You won't believe. But the Bible already tells you how
-
to raise your kid. If you want to read it,
-
it's there. It's stable, it's trustworthy.
-
Psalms one, chapter one, verse one to three says this,
-
Why is his stable and trustworthy?
-
Right? So he says, yeah, are you do you want
-
to be blessed? Yeah, so blessed are you?
-
The man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
-
not stands in the path of sinners, not sits in
-
the seat of the scornful people who laugh at God's word.
-
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
-
and his law he meditates day and night, day and night.
-
And some people go like, I'm so done. Don't be done.
-
Don't be a cake and be done done.
-
Oh, come on, don't be a big cake, be a
-
living vessel.
-
You won't be done. So done. Stop saying that, all right? Speakin?
-
I someone tell me I'm so done. I'm so done.
-
I'm like I wanted to say, why are you so done?
-
Don't be done?
-
Let's get through this by conveyisations and prayer and forgiveness.
-
I say it, I'm so done. Okay, nobody send this
-
message anywhere.
-
It's not regarded all right, don't be so done. It's
-
very rude to say it's I'm so done. It's meaning
-
if you hurt me and I'm so done with you Vic.
-
But then I'm like, I'm holding a grudge against him,
-
I'm so done, like.
-
And walking out.
-
You have not given the other person a chance. You've
-
not given yourself a chance the world. God tells us
-
how to live. When you read it and you go like,
-
oh man, I have to forgive.
-
Shucks, no fun. No, it's it gives you health bitterness.
-
If you keep it forever and ever, you will get
-
a cancer in your heart, a real cancer, or if not,
-
a spiritual cancer.
-
People don't know that Bible tells.
-
Us to be well is to keep your heart like
-
a well spring, always flowing with fresh water and good thoughts,
-
according to God's word.
-
So your delight is in the law of the Lord,
-
and your and his law. You meditate there and night.
-
I can't say I'm meditating as in memorizing versus I'm not.
-
I try I have a few I pull out now
-
and then all right, But the delight.
-
Is to Meditaylor.
-
Like some people like chewing gum right now, chewing gum, No,
-
you gotta chew the word of God. To like this meaning,
-
you take a verse and you keep saying it until
-
you can memorize it, and then it gets planted into
-
your spirit. Man, and then one day you need it,
-
it pops up the Holy spirit. Draw it out and
-
remember this word of God. Amen, and wise, it's stable,
-
it's trustworthy because it goes on to say, you will
-
be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.
-
You're gonna have fruit, and your leaves will always be
-
you know, green, and whatever you do.
-
You prosper. Amen. We all want to prosper.
-
And how by meditating on the word of God, it
-
is stable, it is trustworthy. And I like someone one nine,
-
someone one nine and verse eighty nine it says that
-
your word is established right forever, your forever, Oh Lord,
-
your word is settled in heaven. Amen. Its settled means
-
it is stable. It's not going to move. God's word
-
is settled. If this is the word that is spoken,
-
it will not change, it will not move. When God
-
says I love you, it is settled. No matter Okay,
-
you want to try and make God not love you.
-
You try, you try, but his word is settled. He
-
says I love you with an everlasting love. In scripture,
-
no matter how you try to make God not love you,
-
there's one tough cookie there.
-
He will love you.
-
He will forgive you when you ask him to. If
-
you try so hard to just stay away from the Lord,
-
he will still draw you with his cords of loving kindness.
-
He sends people to you.
-
He comes and blesses you, And maybe you still can't
-
see that it's God's blessing. You just can't see it.
-
But that thing that you're in, it will never happen
-
if it was not a divine intervention God moving in there.
-
Amen.
-
So he's stable, he's trustworthy. If ever you feel shaken,
-
are you're my bosses? You know they're doing restructuring, a
-
lot of reorc now in a lot of companies.
-
If you're if you're in those type.
-
Of companies, you're always reorganizing, reorganizing. Do they think like
-
he's like dominoes or like chess? Right, and people lose
-
their jobs and they're so unstable. That's when you say no,
-
God's word is said good in heaven. I'm in him.
-
I will then on his word. God, you just have
-
to help me. You don't have to make away from me. Lord,
-
you are the stable one. I trust you. Second, another
-
point about when things are, when the world is changing,
-
when things around is it changing? Why is it an
-
anchor for us? Because this is also important for us.
-
He keeps the word of God keeps us from falling.
-
I use the word falling because I didn't want to
-
say sinning something you say. You say, I see, no,
-
I'm not saying you sein, but it's true. It keeps
-
us from falling into sin. Anyone can give me someone
-
one ninet eleven. Anyone knows this worse. Yeah, yeah, thank you,
-
Thanks Wesley. Your word I have hidden in my heart
-
that I might not sin against you.
-
Your word.
-
I have hidden in my heart hidden your word. Another
-
version hidden is your word. I have treasured. I have treasure.
-
Do you treasure?
-
And a lot of things we treasure right in our hearts,
-
so many things like the people you love, you treasure them,
-
You me and my leg who say pot, I treasure
-
my bod So I won't lend it to you.
-
You know, in treasure a lot of things.
-
But this person says, your word, God, your word, I've
-
hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you,
-
King David. When I mean this is David writing this
-
Psalm one one nine, He said, I hide your word
-
in my heart so that I don't sin against your friends.
-
If you want a way to overcome.
-
Sin, Bible the meditation of God's word, memorizing, keeping it
-
in our hearts, living it. It helps us from falling.
-
It keeps us because why He's an the anchor of
-
our faith. Amen, and we go to this.
-
See, sometimes we do things that when we sin, we.
-
Knew we shouldn't have. Why you knew because conviction comes.
-
The Holy Speak convicts us, not condemns us, but convicts us.
-
I knew our And you know this story. I think
-
I told you a hundred times or you heard it
-
over time as you grew up with us. I sin.
-
I liked to my mom right about dating this guy
-
and uh not dating going out with this guy and
-
went to see the movie during school day form six
-
right nineteen years old. I'm a big girl. Mom.
-
Oh so done.
-
That's not a stick mom, Like no you cannot avoid me.
-
Why so you how does the word of God keep
-
me from falling?
-
Well, I fell, all right.
-
I went out and I didn't and I liked to her,
-
and then she.
-
Found out okay. But then I knew also it was
-
not the right thing.
-
But I chose not to hear it. But did the
-
word speak? He did? I just chose to like deafen
-
my ear. But did the word God speak? Yes? Because
-
I had hidden God's word in my heart, I have
-
the conviction I just.
-
Like I wanted my own thing. Just let me.
-
It's not wrong. I'm nineteen. It's wrong when your parents
-
say no, it's okay. When they say yes, right, they say, oh,
-
my parent, No.
-
The word of God.
-
Keeps this very powerful bransistess. If you like you're thinking,
-
how will I overcome sin? How I'm so near to it?
-
Every you know, there's there's all these things in my face.
-
How do you overcome it? You need to keep God.
-
So you need to treasure in it. Treasure means while
-
you read a verse, you memorize it like you chew it,
-
and you swallow it and you keep it in your spirit.
-
So then there's this conviction that comes and it stops you.
-
Because his word stops you. It reminds you how much
-
he loves you and that he can make away for you.
-
But I think we don't keep his word enough. We
-
don't hide God's word. You will hide your money. You'll
-
have a safe in your house, and you hide all
-
your money like that, right, you keep your You hide
-
your money so that nobody will see it. So that
-
you have money. You'll hide your part because you don't
-
want anyone.
-
To use it.
-
Right, you hide the corkeys. You don't want your sixteen
-
year old son to drive your car. Right, you hide
-
it like that.
-
Lah.
-
You have to hide God's words so that it can
-
help you and it can save you, to keep you
-
from falling. I don't know how else I've been through that.
-
It keeps me from falling things that I might have
-
walked into. And I know, and God says, no, it's
-
not good for you, because I have loved you with
-
an everlasting love, or the Lord remind me, but my
-
plans for you are like the sand on the sea
-
shore as so many thoughts for you, Sandro, don't walk
-
into that that you think is the best way, but
-
it's not. By plans for you are really good. And
-
then you go like, Okay, I'm not going to that
-
thing that I might fall and you know, really free fallen.
-
But still God catches me. However, I would have had to,
-
you know, move out of his plans for a little while.
-
So friends, the word of God is an anchor in
-
a changing world. Many things are going to change. Our
-
jobs are going to be changing. You know, the price
-
of fuel, greeps going up and down, that's changing. What
-
else is changing? Suddenly it's COVID tomorrow, don't have? Then
-
something else comes out? Right, food looks like there might
-
be a food shortage.
-
Who knows what. The other day I read I heard
-
they say you're gonna have no not enough water?
-
Please say what the you know you I hear my
-
you know, play watching my free flow. But then they
-
tell you what They're going to be a shortage? Right,
-
and then there are other things. A lot of things
-
evolve around ourselves. A lot of things is evolving around ourselves.
-
We haven't thought about what God is thinking about for
-
us and for the next doorn neighbor, for whatever God
-
he wants to speak to you, Because we can be
-
a beautiful world if we had the thoughts of God
-
then we would know how to help each other again.
-
I'm also learning, not speaking at you and together.
-
I want to learn with you as well.
-
We're reminding that we want to be faithful to the
-
word of God.
-
Amen, it will stand.
-
You can trust God's word in the time when you
-
are shaken, times when you're also And I also know
-
people who are stuck. You know, they're just stuck. They're
-
just stuck in a situation. That's Oh, how passa is
-
taking so long? I know, I know, I don't know
-
why you're taking so why that situation is taking forever?
-
But could you just hold on to the word of
-
God that says that you know he never leaves you
-
nor forsakes you, that his thoughts are higher and his
-
ways are higher. And you're like, yeah, past is taking forever.
-
I say, I can't ask you to take another route
-
because another route would mean it's a wider road and
-
it leads you to eternal death. You need to stay
-
in the narrow road for a little while more. I
-
know it's tough. You haven't seen the breakthrough, you haven't
-
seen it. But can I say that his ways really
-
are still higher, his thoughts are still higher than yours?
-
And can you find a little you know, the hands
-
and grettel bread, can you still see leading you to
-
something still although it's small, not the big one Yet,
-
I have my own challenges to friends, and I'm still
-
having to look at those little bread that leads me
-
to some hope or whatever that circumstance could be. It
-
really God's word. Hide it in your heart so that
-
it reminds you that He's still good.
-
He's just that good. And I'm not just singing a song.
-
I know He's just that good.
-
Amen. Thirdly, we need to stand on eternal truth. This
-
is where that that thoughts I said to you many
-
thoughts will come.
-
Is abortion right? Is it not right?
-
I'll go ahead, just you know, take your It's just
-
an egg, it's an embryo, right? Or you know we
-
can't decide. Then we blame each other and the world
-
will attack God's word. In fact, we are quite shy.
-
We are quite scared to even tell our friends that
-
Jesus is the is you know, my savior or you know,
-
I'm a fallow of Christ. So we're quite scared to
-
say that because people laugh at us. They they will
-
will make fun of us. But first Corinthians one twenty five.
-
Such a such a key verse for a lot of us.
-
Some things look like so old fashioned, so like so yesterday,
-
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men. Things
-
look so foolish, like your friends? Are you so foolish?
-
Like you?
-
Why are you are?
-
Uh?
-
Huh? Premeritu sex? Come on like everybody's doing it?
-
Lah?
-
Really no, there are people who still haven't.
-
You're gonna.
-
Yeah, they're the boring ones. No, Hey, it's foolish to
-
stay virgin. No, it's not.
-
It took you a second to lose it, to give
-
it away. It's taken me a lifetime to hold it on.
-
And when I give it, I give it to the
-
men that I want to. I don't just give it
-
to anyone that's so foolish. But the foolishness of God
-
is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is
-
stronger than men.
-
What looks weak, it's stronger. It's stronger in God. Amen.
-
That's why you need to stand on eternal truth. There
-
are many truths in the world of God that can
-
set us free from who we think we are, what
-
we should be, how.
-
We should live.
-
God does give us guidance on how but when you
-
follow God's way. It's not popular always with the world,
-
but it's popular with God. And no one died for
-
not having sex, but they died when they didn't have water.
-
Are you with me? Church?
-
Hello?
-
Will you die if you do not have free or
-
sex or whatever?
-
Married people, because our young people are here, tell them
-
you will not die. You just have to find other ways.
-
Hot shower, cold shower, wat shower. Better hear it from
-
me from the pulpet. It's holy, Yeah, sexy's holy. Yeah,
-
it's not dirty. It's dirty when we make it dirty.
-
Stand on eternal truth. It is a lot of hard work.
-
The number of young people we work in and stand
-
with and help and revive and restore because somebody took
-
advantage of them because they didn't have enough truth of
-
God's were to say, yeah, I got risks, I'm worth
-
I've got worth ler, I'm not just a piece of flesh.
-
The guy just wanted me from my body, not for me.
-
The girl just took me for a ride because I
-
don't have eternal truth. Sometimes people are older than us
-
make those mistakes, and then the young people think that's
-
the way it is. It's not. It's not. I thank
-
my mom, did my dad every time when I celebrate them. No,
-
I don't know Father's Day, Mother's Day. Say thank you
-
for not divorcing because I know they had hard times.
-
I say thank you for not walking out because I
-
would have lost my identity.
-
I would have lost my hope.
-
As a child, we look up to our parents and
-
I thank them. They they're the like there worse enemies,
-
but the best friends do right if I and they're
-
best friends.
-
And they held on to maybe saying that we have
-
kids or something. I don't know. The eternal truth is
-
God is.
-
Our help and our strength, even in our brokenness in
-
our marriage.
-
Amen, hallelujah. So stand on eternal truth.
-
Friends. What is foolish to the world looking at God
-
is wise wisdom. And that brings me back to my
-
first picture to you again, would you build your lives?
-
Could we build our church on the rock? Jesus Christ? Amen?
-
Come on?
-
Were singing in a Sunday school song to our children. No,
-
build your house on the rock and not on the
-
sandy shore. There two verses here, But I like us
-
to look at Luke chapter six.
-
Look chapter six, Come on, II. There it's on the screen. Okay, look,
-
look forty six to forty nine.
-
So Jesus says this, right, Hey, why do you call
-
me lord lord and not do the things which I say?
-
Whoever comes to me and hears my sayings and does them,
-
I will show you whom he is like. He is
-
like a man building a house who dug deep and
-
laid the foundation on the rock.
-
And when the flood arose and.
-
The stream beat vehemently against that house, and it could
-
not shake it because it.
-
Was founded on the rock.
-
Another word for that is bad. Rock engineers will know this.
-
But he who heard and did nothing is like a
-
man who built a house on the earth without a
-
foundation against which the stream beat vehemently, and immediately it fell,
-
and the ruin of that house was great. Brand's sisters, firstly,
-
X we must remember to build God's house, God's people
-
on the word of God.
-
This is foundation.
-
The Twin Towers is only able to stand because of
-
the piling foundation that was done.
-
I'll tell you how long it took.
-
It started in nineteen ninety two, ninety one, ninety two,
-
and they.
-
Got rid of the turf Club.
-
I would walk across what is now Twin towers every
-
day for work and this huge hole. I didn't know
-
how huge the hole was until it was built. Then
-
I knew how how big the building was. But the
-
piling had to be tested. It failed, it tested, it failed.
-
They had to get two companies, Korean companies to build
-
Tower one, Tower two put in. The foundation failed testing
-
after testing feasibility. I don't know engineers for the world,
-
I don't. Because they needed to know if the foundation
-
could stand these two buildings.
-
So it went deep, very deep, very very deep.
-
You can read it in Wikipedia, so that they could
-
build high and then to have that bridge. Mind you
-
have you ever gone to that bridge before anybody? It swings,
-
if the wind blows, it moves, but it's it's it's
-
it's okay, stable, okay. So the technology used to build
-
these twin towers, that's technology that is needed for buildings.
-
We love architects, engineers. Then you do your job, study
-
six years. Be a doctor, No, be an architect, be engineer,
-
because people are going to live in those buildings. Hillside
-
they later found out did not do the right visibility tests,
-
did not test it properly. There was a stream underground,
-
but also there were pipes for the house, the whole housing,
-
and because of so much water and the stream and
-
the rain over years, the pipe bursts. There were signs
-
already two years, three years before, but nobody did the
-
upkeep maintenance. The signs were already, the cracks on the ground,
-
on the wall. They didn't take note of that, and
-
then lives. Forty six lives were lost, and the number
-
of people lost their home.
-
In our lives too.
-
Friends, Sometimes the cracks are there, you don't look at
-
it because you think there's tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow, Yeah, tomorrow,
-
you think you will deal with the issue, but tomorrow
-
will come and go. What matters is what you do today.
-
When you see that track, when you see that challenge,
-
how do you get help? We've got Bible studies. You
-
don't want to go. You're like, oh, I don't have time.
-
Life will be busy forever, and I'm busy forever. But
-
they're got to be busy. We're doing what God wants
-
me to do. Time for study, time for word of God. Friends,
-
we want to build a house on the rock because
-
we can't.
-
Be saying Lord Lord, And he says.
-
Yeah, do I know you? Because you didn't do what
-
he told you to do. Forgive love, release your funds, save, help,
-
use your talent. He's talking to you. He's speaking to you,
-
Take care, go forward. What's God saying to us all
-
those points there? Friends, it is to be worth faithful.
-
Just be faithful to God's word. That house of God here,
-
asks church. We've got to be faithful to God's word.
-
We've got to be faithful.
-
We've got to preach God's word.
-
Not my opinion. I'm not speaking my opinion, friends, I'm
-
just saying this is how we keep going in truth.
-
Truth.
-
Sometimes it's difficult, but there can be mercy as well. Amen,
-
stand on God's truth, not anything else. Build the house,
-
this house of God. Build your life on the rock
-
Jesus Christ, He's living. Jesus says in John fifteen or fourteen,
-
which was last week's verse or two weeks ago, he
-
says that if you love me, say, if you love me,
-
keep my commandment. If you love me keep my commandments
-
means God's word, keep his word.
-
If you love me. And you know what, friends, we're
-
all growing in our love for Jesus.
-
We're all growing, we're all learning, and we need to
-
teach one another. We need to help each other to
-
go a little closer to God's word.
-
Amen.
-
We want our foundation in our faith to be built
-
on the rock that no matter what happens, this rock,
-
his name is Jesus. Amen.
-
Is the word rock in the Bible, Yes it is, Yes,
-
it is Pm. Eighteen two.
-
The Lord is my rock and my fortress second Semnel
-
twenty two forty seven. The Lord lives, Blessed be my rock.
-
Let God be exalted, the rock of my salvation. And
-
sometimes we really need this rock, this stability in Christ Jesus.
-
Amen. And how you walk your faith? How okay?
-
Their family's here there. You know we're all gonna take
-
the village to raise the child. All of us will
-
impact our children, our ex kids children, how we live,
-
how we speak, how we declare, how we forgive, how
-
we love, how we help one another, how we have
-
conversations when they're difficult, difficult conversations. I'm not a confrontational person. Oh,
-
but then I have to have heart and difficult conversations
-
to confront to us so that we clarify, so that
-
we clarity we can move forward all that based on
-
God's eternal truth, so that we help each other grow. Amen.
-
It's hard.
-
I mean, sometimes we their days are sometimes we're just
-
usler I'm so done, right, but that's in your private
-
I'm so done.
-
Then you go to Jesus and he says, are you done?
-
Are you done? Saying no, Papa, I'm still. Now you
-
go like Papa God, I'm still. I'm still going, but
-
I'm just so done.
-
Yesterday, right, So we'll have our yesterday so done, you know,
-
with that boss, with that thing, with that person. Because
-
you're busy, you're full, You're going through a lot of challenges.
-
But in the midst of the challenges, that one thing
-
that is stable, the one living living in us, is Jesus.
-
He is the faithful one Amen. In our lives and
-
for us as a church. I pray that if we
-
could just do his word and not just hear it,
-
I think we would overcome and we would build God
-
a great house, a great family, and reach even more.
-
Amen. Praise God.
-
Amen. I you know another day for how to read
-
and what to do, but suffice to say that you
-
have a Bible, read it, follow a reading program if
-
you need to, just so that.
-
You get into it.
-
Memorize scripture shot ones first, and then grow long for
-
the make time to read God's word. And this is
-
the sort this is, this is the double aged sword
-
for us. Amen.
-
And really this is this is.
-
All we need and all we want that will get
-
us through.
-
Amen. We stand to overcome by the grace of God.
