You've got a connection. And with that connection, right, you

make your calls. You you can you know, you research,

you can search, you can google, you can do so

many things. You can talk to your family across the seas.

You don't have to pay anymore. Like we used to

call Grandma overseas and pay a lot of money. But

now you can what'sapp call. You know, you can just

what's app or Telegram call, and you know you don't

pay anything for it. Already paid for it, right, And

so there's this connection that we that we get to

connect with and so this prayer powered.

Yeah, the connection here. Yeah, they have a line or

your WiFi. Amen.

And so we want to say a good reminder that

our key versus X chapter two, verse forty two. But

way before X chapter two, verse forty two is X

chapter one, and X chapter one starts in prayer.

They all huddle.

Together in the upper room, one hundred and fifty of them,

including Jesus's mom. Her name's Mary, by the way, and

she was with them, and they were praying, huddled in

a room upstairs for fear of the Jewish people who're

gonna stone them or kill them or something like that.

And they were praying. So it started already with prayer. Yeah.

And then we go into X chapter two, and we

know that the Holy Spirit came. Amen.

And then and then Peter stands up and he and

he teaches about you know, who Jesus is and why

he came. And then the first church, the early church,

was birth and and that's where X church we sat.

At the start of the twelve plus one core values.

We planted X based on the book of X chapter two,

I mean not only the chapter two, but from there

we drew out how we wanted to run church were

based on the Word of God, and and and and

that verse forty two says they daily, right, they daily

somebody who read it, uh, doctor Joel Edward.

Amen. And they devoted themselves. Amen. Daily. Wasn't that uh

stepped fastly to doctrine. Right.

And then they had a fellowship, and then they broke bread,

and then in prayer to the press, they prayed together.

So I want to say that the church started in

prayer at the first chapter and then second chapter. We

see that happening. Amen, Praise God. We are we were gifted.

God gifted us. God's gift to us is prayer, al Elijah.

Anybody say amen there Amen, So prayer is God's gift

to us so that we could connect with Him.

Amen. Right.

And we don't just I know there are many none

know most of you see that here a probably long

time follow us on Christ, all right, And you don't

need me to tell you this, but I'm just keep

So prayer isn't just we say, hey, we believe in

the power of prayer, right, and we all say yes, amen, But.

It's prayer that really powers us. Amen. That is the

power that powers us on, Amen.

And so this is gift, the gift, and let's not

throw it away, let's not hide it, because you know,

the Lord Jesus himself, not all of us desire. And

if I were to disciple you and whoever who discipled me,

and now I'm discipling you, is to be like Jesus,

more like Jesus, more and more every day.

You don't want to look like Joel. You don't want

to look like me. You do want to look like Brenda.

You want to look like Jesus.

But of course if Joel looks like Jesus, we want

to follow you, because that's why you're gonna say to us,

follow me?

But we want to follow Christ, and you are following Christ,

so we follow you. And so same thing. We want

all of us to grow into the likeness of Christ. Hallelujah.

And so what did Jesus do? Yeah, so Mark one

thirty five, just to remind us Jesus himself, right, is

that right?

Right? Okay? Now, in the.

Morning, having risen a long while before daylight, Jesus went

out and departed to a solitary place and there he

paid amen.

So Jesus every.

Day would wake up before daylight to spend time connecting

with the Lord. He was heavy his WiFi on, he

was connecting with the Father. Because no, it's if you

read the Book of John. I've been studying the Book

of John. I just continue to be reminded that Jesus says,

I don't do anything of my own. I only do

what my father tells me, what my I see my

father doing. And until today, my father is still doing.

So whatever he sees his father doing, he does. So

how does he see it must be these these hours

that he spent hours before daylight. I have no idea

how early he would have had to wake up, or

that discipline or that desire. He was still all man

when he walked, all men, So although he was the

son of God, he was all human.

Amen.

But he would wake up and pray. So if how

Jesus prayed, had his so called quiet time you want

to call it, you know, relational time, connection time with

his father, how much more we as the children of

God want to connect with our heavenly father. Because you

just have to remem about what you do at your

work every day or wherever, whatever you do, you're always

connecting with someone that you want to draw from. I

know that companies come together and have that I don't

know what you call it, the town halls, their team building.

Somebody is leading them to tell them what's what is happening?

Who are the animals are dying and you need to

put them to sleep?

All right? All right? But you know.

You've got someone a team building. You want to hear

what we should do today. We don't just do whatever

we want. So if that happens in the natural, what

about the spiritual that that we want to see Jesus.

I'm not saying as someone who's graduated and doing so well.

Like, yeah, I'm better than you know.

I'm I'm growing in my time and as a leader

in our church. We have to pray, you know, not

how we're gonna serve right, So every day is a

good thing to wake up in the morning.

Amen. So we don't just want to do something that's.

As in your book it says, Doc try not okay,

just because I'm positioned, Doc trinal is written there. But

it's more than that. We want to live the reality

of prayer. And man, how many of you have lived

the reality of prayer where you prayed and you saw

God bring some results in your life.

Amen. Praise God.

So what we're saying today is he did it and

he prayed, so we also want to follow Christ. My

next verse is taken from John I Believe Yes eleven

forty one forty two. I just want to say to us,

Jesus encouraging us here. And Jesus lifted up hiss eyes

and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me,

and I know that you always hear me. He said

this to the Lord when he went to visit Lazrus,

who was already buried in the tomb for four days,

and people were saying, like, if you were here, he

wouldn't die, and Jesus like, wept right, and oh how

he loved them, but you know he was just you

can decide why Jesus wept, you know, all right. And

then Jesus praise and says, Father, thank you you have

heard me, but you always hear me. I think we

need the assurance that the Lord always hears us, the

assurance that God hears us.

He's not death, his hands is not too short. He

can hear us. Amen.

And that's the whole gift of prayer. Moving on the

whole gift of prayer. That God has given us the

gift of prayer.

Amen.

And this gift is again why because He assures us

in Philippians chapter four, verse six to seven. Have you

ever experienced this? Be anxious for nothing but in everything everything?

People tell your little bimbo on your face, in everything,

by prayer, supplication, with thanksgiving.

Let your requests be made known to God.

And the peace of God, which surpass us all understanding,

will guard your hearts and minds to Christ Jesus.

Amen. Amen, be anxious for nothing but everything.

And I hope it's not just a memory verse for us,

but it will be a verse that has lived a man.

Have you lived this verse? I tell you that this

is what happened last year. You know, my husband's gaki

broke right broken lake.

What do you do?

He broke this bone right the anchor and then cannot

walk and everything. Oh, I goingness as well. Now I

still cannot play sports yet. Uh yeah, yeah, I got

strengthen thing. But at that time last April, and I

came back from the power, had to straight away come

back and take care of things. And then I was

sweeping the garden and of course, the tree leaves drop

every day, and.

My dad passed on, and nobody to help me.

You know, Dad was doing all my gardening, and so

Dad lab I'm like, you know, there's no cleaner.

The the you know, the loose cleaner.

I mean, I usually hire someone to come hourly in

so she will help me.

But she went back.

So just sleeping there, thinking, oh, my, I gotta work.

You have a patient in the house. I've got yeah,

I got to study. I'm doing my master's. How am

I gonna handle on and cook? Every moment I cooked

somebody a lot read. You know, I cannot cook, and

every day I cannot, but I had to cook for

you have to think of ideas to make it interesting.

So that poor thing, right, I can't see the world outside.

I better cook something like.

Right, yeah, he's stuck in the room.

Right, So I'm like, so much to do and think,

and then I have to sweep these leaves every day.

As I just thought, again, Lord, wouldn't be nice if

I could find someone to help me clean.

So my anxiousness, my my.

Fair heart felt burdened, not just lot, but this was

really the heart prayer, right, And I just said that

you know law and behold some some cleaner. My neighbors said, Hey,

what happened to your cleaner said, oh, should the ballet

you and me? I can help you. She said, you

really can help me. Better ask your She's also hourly

for the other of my neighbor. Actually, and I say,

you shure better ask the neighbor. I don't get in trouble.

They're no, it's my time anyway, and so they're in

light my answer, and she became the hourly cleaner type,

you know, to help me sweep all my leaves, you know,

and help me with the cleaning in the house as well,

because I just cannot manage so much, so much to do,

and God years, you're anxious, your burden, your child. This

one was like that, momentarily in your heart, meditation of

my heart, the Lord, here's the prayer of your heart.

And but then again, bring it to.

The Lord rather than complain, right, and God will give

you the peace of mind. I just want to assure

you bring that request with thanksgiving. Thank you Lord, even

though yeah, things haven't happened, and it's tough, Lord, but

I believe your peace willgard me as I lift up

my need to you this is real for many, many

circumstances in our lives. And that assurance I want to

give to you is John fifteen sixteen.

And then it says he says, whatever you ask the

Father in my name, he may give you.

Amen. Look at that if you.

Are not if that, whatever you ask the Father in

my name, he may give you. So I'm just wanting

to assure you the Lord want to give you out

of his good heart, all right, he answers. Basically, God

is a prayer answering God.

Amen. Wow.

He not just a stone that you talk to and

nothing comes out of him.

He answer, have you experience that? Come on?

You and the Lord? You and the Lord working, you know,

going together, And we want to just encourage us that

if he's a prayer answering God. Hey, guys, it's not

just about going through the motion like just going through yaha,

because I have to you know, Okay.

So I'll bring this don't Nobody's told me.

But it might feel like you're going through the motion

birth on a bright idea or because you'll make a

lot of money being a pastor. Because it doesn't make

no money. All right, So pray. I want to tell

you it's not an event. It is not a like

you know, a good idea. It is not it's not

it's not like, let's just you know, do this because

we have to. We do this because God answers, our prayer,

our church, our our thirteen thirty, our pj our shubbang, our.

Breakthroughs every church needs.

If we don't pray, church, then what do you think

is we're building on We're building on the shifting sand.

So I'm surprised that we.

Lord on a weekday.

I can't. And we'll wait.

want the Holy Spirit to move, not damn saying he

doesn't move on other times, I'm just saying the way

people say, oh, it's.

The same thing we pray.

Do you know what, even it's a boring prayer, but

you pray in the name of Jesus. You are up

holding ex Edinburgh, ex Germany, the welfare of Passa, David

Come on church. You might think, oh, it's just the list.

Friends America lived well when they had friends school. The

day they threw prayer out of their school, that is

the day they went down. They have problems they cannot

solve until they come back to Jesus and to prayer.

So don't tell me it's boring. It's just an event.

If but I ask myself, how can I not turn

up for prayer or not have a prayer service?

How can God service a prayer together with our.

Fare family, to pray for our thirteen thirteen years, for

We don't then what are we building on? Are we

building on our wisdom?

He's done it. We walk in our salvation.

We build the church on no other ground but solid

get married. You haven't. How do you know it's not

Do you know it's gonna affect your wife, your husband,

your children, your wife well okay, and we are moving

and your kids never establish their church life. They don't

like church because they've had problems from day one. Come on,

you wanna pray, really pray, I mean pray for some time.

Wait on the lot. Make sure you're hearing from the

Holy Spirit. No, no, God does. God loves his church.

He doesn't tell anyone to change church overnight. Really, honestly, how.

Did you even come here? And the first place I talk?

These are life building principles in our lives. God's gonna

lay some foundation in us.

It takes so long, you know, it takes so long

for us to decide on where to go, how to plan.

it comes not an event.

It is not any event, amen.

It is really really really, it is the power that

undergirds our prayer because it's Jesus hallelujah.

So take it that. It's power and prayer. But it

ain't an event. Don't.

think that the coming together the prayer is like just

We have to connect. I know. I really ask myself

for prayer, for pray. Nobody want to come? Noh, we

No, even if no one comes, whoever came, we pray

because I have to depend on Jesus all times for

the growing and building of this church. Therefore, there is

an integrity of prayer.

There is an integrity of prayer.

Why because in Matthew chapter six, verse six, it says

Jesus said, but you when you pray, friends, it is

not if you pray, it's when there's no eve amen.

It's not when if you eat a child, if you eat, no,

then you can grow tall.

No, when you eat, which you will eat every day,

you will grow talk. Okay, So same thing what you

if you pray, There is no like di istra if

you pray.

No, it's not that, it's not a gamble. This is

a surety.

When you pray, and you will pray whatever that need

is it It is the you investing in prayer when

you pray is the investment you do in prayer, your.

Time, your Basically, God is just calling us into a

relationship with him.

We say we're planning the church, and we planted it

twenty six years ago. If God did not lead us

to plan, I would not have a church in Melbourne.

Neither will I have one in thirteen thirty.

not because of the strength and wise idea of some

And we pray until until what that result is.

of God. This is the will of God in all things.

Hello, every thought of our heart, and that would be

he would do for us, He will answer us. So wow,

when we come into that prayer, make it into a lifestyle.

I want to say to us, church will follow us

of Christ prayer. Our prayer is not an option prayer

is not an option. It's an act of obedience. It's

a requirement if we're going to go anywhere with Jesus.

Oh, if it wasn't an option, I don't think we

would have we would last people in the world, and

sometimes within the family of the church. Also we are,

we are, we are thinking. You know, why should we

think any less of God's Church? Just wait till they fall.

That's not the prayer, that's not a desire. Thank God,

we God don't unswer prayer like that. Because God's Church

is his bride. Every church is his bride, doesn't matter

whether it's here or there or our neighbor. He's He's

the bridegroom. Right, God's Church. Right, So prayer should be

our lifestyle. Make it an obedient act, a loving act,

the act that we want to come to the Lord.

grow small, to grow bear.

But I have to trust that the one who got

the vision is hearing from the Lord. And then we

have to continue to pray. And then now he tells

me he wants to do dream Malaysia. Mm hmm, okay,

travel again. Okay, but yes, I have had to heard

it from the Lord to do it. And then we

see the results. Right, Some things we don't see yet. Wait,

some things we don't see yet. We wait, but we

have to trust the Lord because it says, you know,

don't be anxious, but let the peace of God God

our hearts and minds. So so make it our lifestyle.

All of us can can have this constant relationship that

God Jesus is calling us into amen. So again, not

when and not if we pray. We will pray when

we pray, and we build this conversations connection with our

Lord Jesus because he's again, he's not an event and

he's not a You have to pray. And I want

to tell you something. Don't make quite a time because

sometimes I feel like this when and I'm rushing. I'll

just do fifteen minutes just to make you happy. I

think we sometimes do that. I just have fifteen fifth

the other church to finish his work.

And I had to stay back to the other church.

So big now, right, And I said, is this church

gonna ever grow forever? Gonna be three faithless woman? And

then it went to six and then the next three

is what nine three three three can't gown, can't even.

Gown it just double double. I mean, I don't want

the word what. I don't know.

We became the fastest growing church every time, more than

on your bicycle, the dynamo creates electricity. Your prayer powered

And and it shows us so we are dependent on God.

We are dependent on God.

And and why because we want God's will? So we

have to depend on God for his will to be done.

If you had someone else to depend on, you wouldn't

even ask the Lord. Right, all of us who've been

to exam as students, remember the night before. I don't

know why we go through this like I'm gonna die.

I'm gonna die, right, I haven't studied, not enough, we

haven't finished tomorrow exam. And some people need calling it

all the time, no problem, but people like this one.

You know, then you pray like man right and like God,

help me, help me, help me right.

And because there's something you pray for and you're dependent

on the grace of God. If we were ever whatever

need and whatever, the results would be. The point is

we learned to pray because we knew we couldn't do it.

We can't. We can never do it on our own.

So it says to the Lord Lord, we are dependent

if we are prayerless. If I be, you know, if

I become prayerless, because I know the dynamic.

This is how I know we can run church.

Friends, Come on, we have a system in place that

can run church from.

Don't be skeared. You can plant judge right, because the

systems in place. But what we lack then is the

power that powers us.

We need the power of the Holy Spirit, and we

need to depend on the law because it's not just

a system. It has to be the power of the

Holy Spirit.

It cannot work.

Because I have a great idea I think I can

have I think I can make it.

We can do it if we try it. Now, that's

the song. This is reality.

If we time, we can do it, if we try. No,

it's not we can read it if we try. That's

why our relationships break up because you're trying. We're not

in a relationship to try. We're a relationship for real.

We're building church for real. That's why we depend on.

God power that will power us forward. Amen.

And I have to say this to myself all the time.

We need I need to seek the Lot's approval or

his will, not my will, be done.

Amen. And and and then we can become that.

Then you experience God low personally walking in you, working

in you, doing something. The results are seen and you wow,

Even beyond what I asked.

God has done something for you, beyond what I could

ever ask or imagine, because you're dependent on the Lot

all the time, one hundred percent, never on our own.

We didn't build this church because we knew somebody, somebody, somebody.

We didn't just call on somebody somebody someone. We called

on Jesus and said, Lord, you said to plant this church.

Then all glory goes back to you. Then let your

will be done. Jesus. We have to the prayer that

you pray, plus the will of God goes hand in hand.

Amen, you pray the will of God, it goes hand

in hand, and then it birth for the results that

Please cover them because you don't know what your premiseaule does.

It covers them and it protects them. We their mouths away,

their family. We pray for them, you think, but you

always ask me to pray it. I know, right, but

if we aren't a family not praying for them, then

just them even then God will still take care. But

I'm just saying we don't send missionaries and don't cover

them or the need or whatever.
