You're listening to a message to go from at church.
-
We hope this message will.
-
Light up your day.
-
Let's go to our topic for the day. Prayer powered.
-
And I want to thank x TV for helping me
-
with the slides.
-
My slides look very different on keynote, but on PowerPoint
-
it looks like this. But still as long as you
-
can read it, that's fine, okay. X DV, thank you
-
very much for helping me with this. Prayer powered. All right,
-
let's say a quick prayer, Holy Spirit, thank you that
-
you are already here with us.
-
You love us so much.
-
You give us your word because your word is living
-
and powerful, and you know that when we receive your word,
-
your word is gonna really transform us and give us
-
guidance to live a victorious life. So we receive it
-
by faith, Holy Spirit, have your way. Thank you that
-
you're already here. I said it already, and I want
-
to say it again. You are already here, and you
-
love us, and you want the best for your children,
-
and so we receive it.
-
All by faith.
-
Leaders guide us, help us, Holy Spirit in Jesus' name,
-
we pray Amen. Let's look at the slides now. Prayer
-
powered tild plus one called values Series. Today first time
-
I'm sharing this, and that's why the camera is on. Okay,
-
let's look at the next line. All right. It's one
-
thing to know that prayer has power and another thing
-
to be prayer powered.
-
Do you understand this?
-
So all of us know that prayers power, but it's
-
another thing altogether to be powered by prayer. All right,
-
So we don't just want to know, Oh yo, you
-
know there is power in prayer, but are we as
-
a church? Are we as individuals, as a merried couple,
-
as a family, are we powered by that prayer that
-
we believe has power? So this is why we are
-
sharing this, and this is why this is a value
-
of ex church. We don't just want to know there
-
is power in prayer. We want to be a church
-
that's powered by prayer. Let's look at the next slide please. Okay.
-
So I'm going to now get going without notes. There's
-
a point one point two point three. So if you're
-
looking at your notes and you are a note taker,
-
you will probably be thankful that I want to get
-
through the notes first because just in case I get
-
into my kind of preaching, which then goes a little
-
bit crazy, A little bit deeper.
-
Then you got to a pasta.
-
What is this? You know, you're not following the notes.
-
And then when homes come you go like, I don't know,
-
Passa just went on, you know, a rent he just
-
went on.
-
I don't know where he was going.
-
You know, he went to Plutock, to Earth, you know,
-
went to Mars and came back to you know, the moon.
-
So before I go everywhere, I want to deal with
-
the notes. Okay, So point umer one, prayer is a
-
gift or on your nose is the gift of prayer,
-
the gift of how of you know that prayer is
-
a gift. God gave us this gift. He said to
-
us pray, not only if you pray, but when you pray.
-
He expects us to pray.
-
Is the gift of God that works because our God
-
is a prayer answering God.
-
So let's look at the next slide.
-
So here in Matthew six five to six, when you pray,
-
that's what I said earlier. When not if you shall
-
not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray
-
standing in the synagogue and on the corners of the streets,
-
that they may be seen by men. That surely, I
-
say to you, they have their reward. So there's a
-
reward in prayer, even if you are pretending you know,
-
or even if you are doing it for men to see.
-
There is a certain reward. But that's not a kind
-
of reward we want. We want a reward from God.
-
And this is the verse that says it you. Somebody
-
say you, point at your neighbors, say you you, when
-
you pray, go into your room, and when you have
-
shut the door.
-
That's right.
-
Pray to your father who is in the secret place,
-
and your father, who sees in secret, will reward you.
-
Come on, all pernly, praise the Lord. This is a gift.
-
God wants to answer our prayer. He wants to reward
-
us when we pray, and to reward us all pernently.
-
So you can really see that prayer is quite a
-
private matter to begin with. Yes, we also pray in church,
-
we pray with one another, we pray in prayer services,
-
we pray in our groups, we pray with our husbands,
-
we pray with our families. That's okay, But it is
-
in that sense a private matter because you are going
-
to God without any frills or thrills or you know
-
the King's English. You know that you want to show
-
that you're really good at the language, and so you
-
go and pray for ten minutes when you could have
-
just done it in one, because you know, after a while,
-
we just get caught up with the act of prayer
-
instead of the power of prayer. All right, So we
-
don't get caught up with the act of prayer.
-
And that's why the.
-
Pharisees get caught up with the act of prayer, and
-
the Lord says, they have their reward because they just
-
want to show off. We are not into showing off,
-
even when we pray with one another. We really want
-
to see prayer work. Someone say, amen, let's look at
-
the next slide. So this another verse that talks about,
-
you know, prayer being a gift. Be anxious for nothing,
-
the Bible says, So don't worry. Don't worry, everyone in
-
this room, don't worry, because.
-
The Bible says, be anxious for nothing, but in come.
-
On everything, everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. You know,
-
I could do a whole message just on this verse,
-
but today that's not about that. And so I will
-
withhold myself just in case. You know, I surpass lunchtime,
-
which is not going to be very good, And with thanksgiving,
-
let your requests be made known to God and the
-
peace of God.
-
Wow.
-
Early on we heard about a reward that He will
-
reward us openly. Now we hear about a peace that
-
surpasses all understanding. So if you don't have that peace,
-
please pray. Prayer is a gift. You have been given
-
a gift. Sometimes you can receive a gift over Christmas
-
and don't use it. You know, sometimes I is still
-
in the box after three years. You know, you should
-
open up the gift and use it. Because there is
-
a reward from God, and there is peace that surpasses
-
all understanding. It will guard your hearts and you will
-
guard your minds. So if your minds are trouble, I
-
pray the peace of God will come upon you. If
-
your hearts are trouble, made the peace of God just
-
envelope your heart. Come on.
-
If you believe, you say amen. Next slide.
-
Please. So I had a sticker in my car about
-
thirty years ago. When I started driving, I drove a
-
car that was given to me. It was second hand,
-
maybe third head by then, and it was as old
-
as we. I was twenty one, the cow was twenty one,
-
and he grew with me. And we call it the
-
most anointed car in Malaysia because wherever the cow.
-
Went, it left oil everywhere.
-
And he shook. He shook, you know, because it cannot
-
go above ninety five. When he touched one hundred, it
-
just shakes. And one time the police caught me and
-
put me, pulled me aside and said, you have gone
-
beyond one hundred and ten. I said, my car cannot
-
go one hundred and ten. I'm telling you right now.
-
And the police said, well, we've got the recording. I said,
-
please show me the recording. Please. In fact, the last
-
thing I said to him is Chegu. And I don't
-
know why I call police chake Gou. I learned it
-
from one of my police friends, because you know, everybody
-
comes from the marked, up from the from the school,
-
from the police academy, and in that place, you know,
-
everybody calls their senior che gu. So so with the police,
-
I said, you go, you know cannot I said to go.
-
Would you like to come into my car and let's
-
drive and let's see whether we can drive that fast?
-
And so he saw the confidence and say okay, Jalan, you.
-
Know he says, so, not not to say that you
-
should use it with any police. But on on my
-
dashboard there is a sticker why worry when you can pray?
-
Why why worry when you can pray? Simple? Not simple,
-
but why worry? No, we should we do worry. And
-
Jesus knows we worry. And then he says, don't worry
-
because he knows we worry. You see, he does have
-
to say don't do something where he knows that you know,
-
you know we don't do it right, No, he knows
-
we do it, So he says, don't and so don't
-
worry when you can pray, seek if first the Kingdom
-
of God and his righteousness, and all these.
-
Things shall be added to you.
-
That's prayer when you're seeking right the Kingdom of God
-
his way. You know, people talk about Kingdom of God
-
and they try to explain it many ways. But I
-
only have one simple explanation of the Kingdom of God.
-
The Kingdom of.
-
God is the way of God.
-
This is his way. Therefore your kingdom, come your way, come,
-
you will be done. If it's not God's way, it
-
will not be God's will. So if your Kingdom come,
-
your way come first, and then your will. So never
-
never expect God's will to come. If his way is
-
not done, his way must be followed, then you can
-
expect his will to be done. So, you know, I
-
really want to believe that we are seeking first the kingdom,
-
meaning we are seeking first God's way in our lives,
-
in our marriages, in our work, you know, our with
-
our family, and then you know his will will be
-
done God's way I seek, and all these things shall
-
be added unto you, all right, So why worry when
-
you can pray next life? Please? All right?
-
Number two, are you following the notes.
-
Because this is just for you to follow the nose today.
-
After that, I'm gonna go crazy. Okay, So.
-
Not following time, okay, passa Nachin is being very very disciplined.
-
He's following notes.
-
One time, my wife told me that, you know, you
-
went to the place at the share, all of them,
-
of course, you all wanting to write notes, and then
-
you went on a tangent. No, I say, I was
-
just let by the spirit, you know, And she says,
-
I know you're let by the spirit, but no, can
-
you please help the people you know go through the
-
notes first, because you're going to use it home. Okay, okay, first,
-
and I turned to descript in Genesis and God said
-
to Abraham, listen to your wife. So I think that's biblical.
-
The integrity of prayer. Okay, let's move on the integrity
-
of prayer. Let's go to the next slide. Please, So hey,
-
don't just say I've prayed and then go on doing
-
what you wish to do.
-
Christian is very good with this. Be careful, be careful,
-
don't be like that.
-
Don't say, oh, I prayed about it, therefore, oh I
-
prayed about it. And sometimes some of these major things.
-
And I love the fact that Laura said, no, we
-
prayed about it. We saw this thing. Because this is
-
a big thing that they're doing. It's sort of like
-
mini migration, right, and so it's big. Some people say, oh,
-
I prayed about it, and therefore I left church. When
-
you and ask them, how long do you pray about
-
one week? You cannot pray one week and then feel
-
led to go and leave a church that you've been
-
with for ten, fifteen years, twenty years. These are big decisions.
-
So I think to myself, people just say I pray
-
about it and Therefore I pray about it. Be very careful. Christians,
-
don't do that. Don't do that. It's important when you
-
pray that you pray so that you really want to
-
do God's wheel and not your own.
-
And this is very is a thin line.
-
It's a thin line because many of us have our
-
own desires, our own dreams, and so we go like, oh, God,
-
should I eat ice cream? Amen? Amen? I think I
-
should because I just saw someone pass me with ice cream,
-
you know. Amen. No, It's very, very easy to convince
-
you when you want something, right God, should I go
-
out with that girl?
-
You know whatever?
-
And then suddenly you scroll, oh, you know the girl
-
comes out first in your Instagram. Oh yeah, it must
-
be God's confirmation, you know. Should I marry? Should I?
-
You know whatever?
-
Should I buy a new house? Uh? This house? Is it?
-
This house? Lord? You know? Uh? And and and we
-
have to be very careful because the next light will
-
will show you some versus of why we need to
-
be careful.
-
Because in Exodus thirty two.
-
Six, which is repeated in First Coriintians ten seven, the
-
Bible says they rose early on the next day whire
-
offered burn offerings all very spiritual, very good, and brought
-
peace offerings. Wow. I didn't know they were so spiritual.
-
They woke up earlier on the next day to do this. No, no, no,
-
they woke up early so they can get on with
-
church service on Sunday because what they really want to
-
do is after service they want to play. And the
-
people sat down to eat and drink and rose up
-
to play and gee and and and the words in
-
First Coritcients, I was gonna say, Jesus said, but I
-
want to say First Coriintients ten to seven says, and
-
do not become idolatous, meaning people who look into something
-
and they have idolatry means this has become an idol.
-
Maybe your golf has become an idol, maybe your work
-
has become an idol. Maybe you know.
-
Food can become an idol, and sleep can become an idol.
-
Do not become idolatists, as were some of them talking
-
about the extras.
-
Thirty two six people.
-
As it is written, the people sat down to eat
-
and drink and rolls up to play so many times.
-
If you're not careful, we think we are spiritual. Wake
-
up the next morning, offer burn offerings and broad piece offerings.
-
But we just can't wait for service.
-
To be over.
-
Because what we really woke up early for is something else.
-
So I know it's very quiet in this place. X
-
got the communing. You know, we have got two services now.
-
We're touching about one hundred and eighty people. You know, at
-
one time, when I was going to start the eight
-
fifteen service, we call it eight fifteen worship, a fifteen worship.
-
Everybody says, fuss too early, too early, to early, and
-
I said no, the Holy Speech said to me, start
-
two services, and I'm gonna start eight fifteen. So I
-
hope you guys will be okay with it right now
-
today today eight fifteen has trumped ten forty five as
-
far as people right, I think is about sixty seventy
-
percent coming to the eight fifteen and the rest coming to.
-
The ten forty five.
-
If you go around interviewing them, everybody will say, good word.
-
Come at least it is so that we can the
-
love in this room, So that we can so that
-
we can didn't really wake up for the Lord, but
-
so that we can out there's a few God's presence
-
coming into this room right now. Just pausing for a
-
moment because I might get emotional. Okay, I'm okay, next night,
-
next night, Oh getting warning swaller Isaiah twenty nine thirteen. Therefore,
-
the Lord said, in as much as these people draw
-
near with their mouths, or were drawn near to God
-
with our mouths, honor me with their lips. But they
-
have removed their hearts far from me, and their fear
-
toward me is taught by the commandment of men, then
-
Jesus now is correct to say. Jesus repeated the Old
-
Testament when he was speaking, and he said, these people
-
draw near to me with their mouth. So we are praying,
-
and we're drawing near to God with our mouth. Oh God,
-
should I yeah? I should? Oh God, you know? Should I? Yeah?
-
I think I should? Oh God, should I yeah? I
-
thought so I should. They drawn near to me with
-
your mouth, and honor me with their lives. They're praying, praying, praying,
-
but their heart is far from me. So the one
-
thing good to understand as we are being prayer powered
-
is that prayer is a matter of the heart. Yeah,
-
the Bible says, their heart is far from me. So
-
when we draw near to go with our mouth with
-
our lips, make sure you include your heart.
-
Can I hear good?
-
Amen? All right?
-
Next slide.
-
Prayer is community communicating with God from the heart. So important.
-
Please everyone in this room, involve your heart. And if
-
your heart is deceiving, as the Bible says, then make
-
sure that God checks your heart. Check it again and again, two, three,
-
four times, Check it again and again. Why this girl
-
you want a date? Why this guy you want to
-
go out with? Why this house? Why this business? Why
-
this work? Oh? God, search my heart and know my ways?
-
Try me. Now, you know that the Bible says the
-
God is not just listening to your mouth. He's listening
-
to your heart.
-
Let's look at the next slide. All right, b okay, a.
-
Is what again? Is again? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, I forgot?
-
What is what a again? Ah?
-
Don't just don't just say I pray. Don't just I
-
prayed about it?
-
Yeah?
-
Yeah, sure you did. Yeh uh okay, don't just say okay,
-
good good good.
-
Uh. B. Prayer is not just talking a two but
-
listening to God. Did you know that a lot of
-
people go one way one way? Jarlan Sahara, one way street.
-
We just go one way, nothing coming back the other way.
-
That's not prayer. Prayer is when you get to hear
-
from God as well. Let's look at the scriptures. You
-
can see how quickly I'm going through the notesir, because
-
I've got other things to tell you. And it came
-
to pass when Moses entered the tabernacle, says Exodus thirty three,
-
nine eleven. When Moses entered the tabernacle, then the pillar
-
of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle,
-
and the Lord talked with those as I underlined and
-
boulded it. Do you know, when we come into God's presence,
-
the Bible doesn't even say that we talk to God.
-
Bible says that God talked to Moses, underlining and bolding
-
and highlighting the fact that when we pray enter God's
-
presence is more important that he talks to us than
-
we talk to him, because the Bible already says that
-
God already knows our needs before we even ask. Yes,
-
God already knows our needs before we ask. So it's
-
not so much not so important that we say all
-
the right words for the next ten minutes, but we say, okay, God,
-
you know all my needs, you know my heart, you
-
know my desire, you know what I'm praying for a
-
family member that needs your healing. Oh God, you know
-
where I'm going.
-
You know you love me. I know you love me,
-
You care for me. God, speak to me, Speak to me.
-
So a lot of people just say I prayed about it,
-
but never heard, never really hurt, because they already wanted
-
to do this, and so it's very easy to do
-
it without any confirmation from God himself. So he continues
-
to say, the Lord spoke to Moses face to face.
-
All right, this is the first facebook God had a
-
face to face meeting with his servant, And I loved
-
the last part. The last part says that he would
-
return to the camp by his servant, Joshua, son of
-
Nanda's young man, did not depart from the tabertacle. I
-
believe that Joshua, because he was so close to the
-
tabertacle serving Moses. I'm sure that he also heard God's voice,
-
because God must have spoke audibly to Moses those days,
-
and the Lord spoke to him face to face. And
-
I think that Joshua must have listened in on some
-
of these conversations and desired, Oh God, when it comes
-
my turn, when it's my turn, When it's my turn.
-
Oh God, I want to hear your voice God, because
-
this is what Moses is showing me that true prayer
-
life is not just talking one way, but hearing Lord.
-
I want to hear your voice God one day, Please
-
also speak to me like you spoke to Moses, and
-
he knew that the secret was lingering in God's presence.
-
So it's not about shortcuts. It's not about all quick
-
fix of a prayer. It's not about all I pray
-
about it already two days. No, it's about God. Have
-
you spoken? Prayer is about lingering in God's presence enough
-
to hear his voice.
-
Okay, let's go on. Let's move on, all right.
-
Number three, Okay, this is the third point on your notes,
-
and therefore we are closing. All right, we are closing
-
very soon being prayer powered. All right, Let's look at
-
the notes now. Okay. A for above, A for above
-
and beyond. JESZ an event prayer service or PR four Y,
-
which stands for prayer revival four times a year. It's
-
a lifestyle. If you believe it, say amen, it's a
-
life style. You will only attend a prayer service and
-
attend it with conviction because you are praying all the time.
-
You're not just waiting for a pr four y to
-
go and then you know, let your attendance be counted. Know,
-
a person who has a prayer lifestyle usually ends up
-
being at prayer services, prayer events.
-
Prayer rarelyes it is.
-
It is a good way to show you how important
-
a person takes prayer in their lives, because individually and
-
privately they are already doing it, and now there's a
-
chance to do it together as a family, a chance
-
to do it as a church. They want to be there.
-
But prayer has to be a lifestyle if you are
-
ever going to be found at events. But it's above
-
and beyond events. Can I hear a good amen? All right?
-
Next slide is a verse. I think, pray without ceasing,
-
Pray without ceasing. How many of you know how to
-
do that? Because I think a lot of us, If
-
we're honest, you'll say no, I haven't prayed without ceasing.
-
Let me let you in on a on a little
-
bit of a secret. The more we depend on God,
-
the more we pray. So God sometimes will allow things
-
in your life that need you to pray, because when
-
we don't have those things, we become prayerless. Yeah, so
-
in the I found out myself praying more. I won't
-
say I pray without seizing, but I tell you what,
-
I don't pray for more than ten minutes, as someone
-
said before, but I don't go more than ten minutes
-
ten minutes without prayer. I like the card lifestyle. I
-
don't pray for more than ten minutes. But I also
-
don't go more than ten minutes without prayer. And the
-
reason is because I have not been well. I know,
-
been well. I went to a city scan just recently, okay,
-
and so there's some blockages, but it's UNDERD fifty percent,
-
so I don't have to go for any stent and
-
anything and that.
-
But sometimes my breathing gets gets affected.
-
Sometimes when I travel on the plane, you know, I
-
get a little bit of like, you know, just that's
-
why I went to check.
-
So I tell you what.
-
Then, you know, when I was going through different things,
-
and I at one time I had constipations and at
-
one time I had a broken ankle, and at one time,
-
you know, I'm not saying that God will make your
-
life difficult, but he will make your life dependent on him.
-
And that's why when I hear what Laura is saying.
-
She's exactly saying that I'm going to Laos to be
-
more dependent on God. If you, if you have listened
-
to her properly, I'm going there to be more dependent
-
on God. And some of you are going through different
-
things with your children, with your marriage, hopefully not your
-
marriage are but with your neighbors, with your colleagues. Right,
-
God allows, He didn't make it happen, but he allows
-
so that you become a very prayerful person. Because listen,
-
if your life was all good and nothing wrong with it,
-
I tell you what's going to be harder to do this,
-
not to say impossible, meaning you can probably come to
-
a place whereby even without problems, you're still preferful. That's
-
gonna be great. That's gonna be great, that's gonna be
-
the gold standard. But I tell you why.
-
I let you you know another secret.
-
This last three months I have been depending on the
-
Holy Spirit like I've never depended on him before.
-
Because I learned from the Word that He is my helper.
-
So listen, if you had a helper at home, all right,
-
an Indonesian helper, or a man Mary's helper, or a
-
Filipino helper. You expect them to help you. That's why
-
you hire them all right now, if your helper is
-
sitting in front of TV, you know ten hours a
-
day watching Korean movie is not her fault. It's your
-
fault because you allow your helper to not do anything
-
to help you, and you just go around complaining. I
-
see her, this person. I told her to wipe the table,
-
but you know she's watching I never mind, iye pila,
-
you'll see her. This is the clothes are all still unwashed.
-
Never mind a let her watch to finish a series.
-
You know, that's your fault. So the name that is
-
given to the Holy Spirit is helper? Did you know that? Oh?
-
So silent? The name that's given to the Holy Spirit is.
-
That's his name?
-
But how many of us use his help? That day
-
I had a conservation. You know your passer has be
-
very honest with you. Uh, And I don't mind washing
-
the tillion in front of you, because if I could
-
watch the tillinan, if I have you, hopefully you can
-
be clean. But the thing is, I said, the Holy Spirit,
-
can you help me with this? Because I'm rushing for
-
a meeting and I can't sit here for long. Right
-
within one minute, boom all came out. I don't know
-
you're you're doing on trauma. You don't try, you don't
-
see her. I went to the hospital to day. Every
-
time I go to the hospital lot, I have what
-
you call the white coat syndrome, you know that, meaning
-
I'm my high blood pressure right al but my blood
-
pressure just goes a sky high one hundred and eighteen
-
hundred and ninety over one hundred and ten. The idea
-
I went for a checkout stress test, though I was
-
stressed before the test two hundred and ten over one
-
hundred and ten or something like that, and the nurse said,
-
but to a girl, test me again, two hundred and
-
five to five, went down five. Yeah, you celebrate, no,
-
two hundred and five. She's like, I think you need
-
to be admitted. I said, no, no, no, no, this
-
is a white courte syndrome. So ten out of ten
-
times I get high. Okay, it can be Columbi Asia
-
can be anyway always. So I said, God, us it
-
be like this, us, it be like this. God help me.
-
So I went to the Columba Asia the idea for
-
my city engine gram test, and she said, oh, we
-
need to get your blood pressure first, because if your
-
blood pressure is not good, you can't go in right
-
because they put inside and your your book present needs
-
to be at a healthy level. So I sat down
-
there and she puts the cuff. I said, Holy Spirit,
-
can you please give me an accurate, accurate reading? Right?
-
And the first three readings is no reading? Can you
-
imagine that?
-
Now? The Holy Spirit taught me something. The Holy Spirit
-
taught me that a lot of machines are not under
-
God's covering.
-
You think about it. See yah, I don't know why
-
you've heard before that the enemy can move chairs and
-
move tables.
-
Have you heard before? Yeah? So if you if you
-
have done deliverance, he can in hotels all right. That's
-
why I cleansed every hotel room before I sleep. H No,
-
because the enemy can can can open windows, close, They
-
can do that. They can also play with instruments. I
-
always pray for pilots and the instrumentation or not because
-
sometimes insation can be played around by the enemy.
-
So I said, I covered all the instrumentation. I cover
-
the pilots.
-
Yeah. If the devil can enter Juda's why can't you
-
enter a pilot way quiet way?
-
Quiet, so I cover the pilots blood of the lamb.
-
No enemy can enter the turn you know, no, no way,
-
not on my not on my watch, okay, And the
-
enemy cannot play with that's so that's why sometimes that
-
we go and then we get tested and then little
-
on what test? What test? What tests? You can't find
-
anything right? So I really play right. So the enemy
-
has been playing my cuff in hospitals for so long
-
long one hundred eighty two D and ten right, good,
-
You're gonna die, right, So I said, Holy Spirit, please
-
take care of this. Let the enemy not play around
-
with this machine. And I know the enemy wanted to
-
play around Coursa the first three readings zero zero, that's
-
why I die, No zero. She had to turn on
-
the machine again. The guy just who use it before me?
-
And now I use it three three times until the
-
nurses are all get ay need machine? You know it's
-
a machine spoil. They were, they were panicking. I said,
-
never mind. I won't panic because the more I pandiced,
-
the more you know, I'm going against my own prayer.
-
So I said never mind.
-
And the fourth reading, fourth reading, Now you know what,
-
by the fourth reading, I should penning more right, I
-
should be worse than before. No, it's one hundred and
-
thirty five over seventy nine, right. And then the Holy
-
Spirit I went to the doctor. The doctor said, uh, actually, Kenneth,
-
we got you to do the CTA City droogram tomorrow,
-
but you're fasting read right, maybe you can't do it today.
-
At that time, it was eleven o'clock in the morning.
-
I said, okay, are you fast? Yeah?
-
You know I fast since seven seven pm last night. Oh,
-
there's a long time.
-
Let me check. So he's checking whether there's a slot
-
at the radio graphy radiology department. And the person said, yes,
-
treat the t hello eleven to treat the d Do
-
you know that this body did not survive on fasting
-
this this body survived on feasting, and and and and
-
I'm not controlling. And the doctor saying that, okay, it's
-
four or five hours time. You know you're slot And
-
then so I can't guarantee. They say treat the t
-
by before, right, So I say, oh, so, I say,
-
Holy Spirit, if you want me to do it today,
-
give me a slot, right, give me an earlier slot,
-
because I'm already very hungry. He's your helper but how
-
many of us ask for help? You just allowed the
-
Holy Speed to watch Chorean movie the whole day. No, no,
-
I know, it's how we would say, hey, bles fhemous. No, no,
-
I'm joking. Okay, but but but you know, you just
-
allowed the Holy Spirit to be the only spirit you
-
know wherever he is. You just sing about him on Sunday,
-
on Monday to Friday, he say, please ask me for help.
-
I'm called you a helper, that's my name, you know,
-
allowing me to help you. Okay, So I said, Holy Spirit,
-
help me. And then I went to take a call
-
with passed back to you. Pass back you had an
-
urgent call, So I said, nurse, I go out and
-
take a call for the timer only twelve o'clock. Okay,
-
travel go and take a call to a call. And
-
then now there's another call coming Bysandra emergency.
-
She said, hey, where are you? I thought you are
-
the hospital. See yeah, I am just, I'll saying, and
-
she says, the nurses trying to get you. I said,
-
why call it back?
-
Call back?
-
So why call it back?
-
She says, So we are you? I said, I'm just
-
I'll say, yeah, I told you I'm going to a caller.
-
In fact, I told the nursa nurse. I'm going to
-
take the call for ten minutes. She said, take twenty
-
right there, No, I says, your fault, She said, take twenty.
-
That's what I'm talking tobout some man. Oh emergency, okay, okay, okay,
-
what's mad? All right? Okay, I think you do this.
-
I think you do that. Yeah, okay, great, gat and
-
this call. There's a slot for you. Now, travel clock.
-
There's a slot for you. Now you know, Holy space,
-
I tell you. So I walk in there, I said,
-
what happens if someone cancer? If someone can say that
-
I can, they can give someone else. I no, not you.
-
So I walk in there and then they're like, you know,
-
putting the needle and I took four of the need
-
to put it on my uh Instagram just in case
-
you guys want to pray for me, because we are
-
prayer powered church. Yeah.
-
Okay, so you know so uh and and uh.
-
And then you know that when I went into the radiology,
-
all the nurses there they remembered me from the last time.
-
You know, everywhere I go, I tried to be nice
-
to people. You know, someone said before, right when you're
-
on your way up. Be nice to everybody on your
-
way up, because just in case, when you're on your
-
way down you meet the same people on your way up.
-
Always be nice to people, because on your way down
-
you could be meeting the same people. So I am
-
nice to all the nurses, all the doctors are gay nice.
-
And then that says, hey, mister, change your back again.
-
I said, yeah, I'm back again, and they wheeled me
-
and they took care of me, and they make sure
-
and the imagery, you know, the last image that I
-
had on the city scan was bad and the doctor said, no,
-
it's bad, but I can't see her bad.
-
But I can see, you know, I mean, it's not clear.
-
It's not crystal clear.
-
And so when I was on a machiner, you know,
-
and they're putting the die or the die is away
-
in oh warm, no warm, how I may have you
-
done it before? Warm dye right going inside, and they say, uh, sir,
-
just just just to let you know what this die.
-
When it goes in there, you can vomit when no
-
holy people help me, not a woman ask you for everything, like,
-
come on, holy peoplease help me, not voment. I didn't
-
vomit this one can go down and honey, you mean
-
you want to urine. Know, I say, Holy speoplease help me,
-
not urine, Holy speel help me. I see you see
-
I'm almost praying and seizing. Lino. That's how you do it.
-
That's how you do it.
-
You continue this conversation with the Holy Spirit, and then
-
my images of the CTA came out perfect, so clear.
-
The doctor could see everything. He says, Uh, this is clear, exact,
-
perfect report. I'm going to give you. You probably don't
-
have to go to this machine again for the next
-
five years. Let's do it every every five years. You are, yeah,
-
bill fifty, maybe between twenty twenty five to forty nine percent,
-
and calcium scoring is at sixty three point five. He
-
said that, you know, above two hundred, probably you start worrying.
-
But so I don't know why it's any He calls
-
me doctor Kenada. I don't know where he heard from,
-
Doctor Kenth. You know you're you're you're at a good place.
-
I asked the Holy Spirit for help. Really I do. Uh,
-
And I got many more testing me to share with you,
-
but I don't have time. But every time I ask
-
a Holy Spirit, he he really really helps because he
-
is our helper. Can I hear a good amen? Are
-
you going to any challenges? You know? Just just talk
-
to him? Talk to him, Holy Spirit. I'm a bit
-
afraid about this, Holy speit. Can you help me not
-
be so afraid? Not be so afraid? Holy Spirit, help
-
me to get over this. Holy Spirit, help me. I'm
-
feeling very hungry. Speak at you, you please help me
-
with my hunger pangs. Let it last for another you know,
-
half an hour before lunch comes, and I'll tell you
-
what you know, I pray that before and then suddenly,
-
you know, you lost your hunger, and then I can't
-
remember it until it went for lunch. How come I
-
not hungry? You know where you asked the Holy Spirit
-
to help you. So prayer without seizing is a church
-
that is prayer powered. Let's move on.
-
Be for belief.
-
Believe that where we are today this is a good statement.
-
Believe that where we are today and where we will
-
be tomorrow is because of prayer.
-
You got to believe that.
-
A lot of us, you know, sometimes we are tempted
-
to think that it's our own strength, our own wisdom,
-
our connections, our contexts, our good looks. And you know,
-
I say good looks because you know, so many people
-
in exclaim look so good. You know, I don't hear amen,
-
But oh you're humble too. Yeah, all right, some of
-
the good, the best looking people are in explent Amen,
-
siris and okay, next next slide. So y'all have heard
-
this before, I would just share with you again. We'll
-
only go as far on our feet as we have
-
gone on our knees. The reason why we have gone
-
as far as London, it's because before X London was
-
planted on my feet, it was planted on my knees.
-
Before X Botswana was planted on my feet, it was
-
planted on my knees. I went there already, or I
-
understand that you probably went there new lows on your knees.
-
You know understand therefore you can get there on your feet.
-
A lot of people try to get there on your feet,
-
but haven't yet got there on their knees. You want
-
to go anywhere, you want to climb any mountain, you
-
want to beat any sickness, get there on your knees.
-
See the vision that God will give you here the
-
voice of the Lord, and then I tell you what
-
on your feet will be no problem. But we fight
-
on our knees. First, we fight on our knees. We
-
do battle on our knees. We get there on our knees.
-
We're already there in Laos on our knees. We're already
-
there in Germany. Ex Germany's planted. I'm going to be
-
there by the grace of God in September for the
-
second anniversary. Is planted on my knees. It's planted on
-
your knees. Ex Claimer. Brother has been growing from strength
-
to strength. I know you you guys have been going
-
through some challenging times the last few years. A few
-
of your good guys you know, either migrated or you know,
-
it's his life, lives life.
-
But I don't see you guys doing ingal I don't
-
see you guys dying.
-
You know. I was standing here listening to the children singer.
-
Tears are rolling down my face because I mean, and
-
I think to myself, if tears can roll down my face,
-
and guess what about God? He must be bawling out
-
there or less we respectful to God? Like he doesn't
-
cry like that, but you know he rejoices. He's like,
-
come on, you know, and if you guys don't have seen.
-
The children were saying, this is like Jesus said that.
-
Jesus said, what if you guys don't cry out, the
-
rocks will cry out, right, the rocks will cry out.
-
I don't need you guys to cry out. My other
-
creation will cry out because he's worthy. Amen. Yeah, that's right.
-
So I just believe for better days, brighter days, And
-
I call for the laborers to come. I know that's
-
what you desire. Laborers for the teens. Huh, Laborers for
-
XTV laborers, labors, laborers. What does the Bible say, ray
-
Ah to the Lord of the harvest right to send
-
out laborers. So let's go on our knees first, before
-
we ever go on our feet. Come on next us slide.
-
I think we're finishing already. I'll see. For constant dependence
-
on the Lot, that's what being a prayer powered church means.
-
It's constant dependence on the Lord.
-
And earlier on, I told you about my own life
-
and my own sicknesses, and my own diseases, and my
-
own problems and my own constipations like that, I depend
-
on the Lord day and night. The moment I wake up,
-
I said, good morning, Holy Spirit, I've learned that lat
-
I've learned that those days.
-
I never used to do that.
-
Then I get up from the better because my back
-
was pain, was in pain before and I couldn't even
-
get up. No, so now when I get out, I say,
-
oh God, thank you that I can get up for
-
my bit. Then I stand up because I had my
-
ankle broken last year. I stand up and I can
-
stand up on my two feet. Say Lord, thank you,
-
I can stand up on my two feet. I'm starting you,
-
thank God. That's also prayer. And then I walked to
-
the toilet. I say Lord, thank you, I can walk
-
to the toilet because one year ago I was on
-
the crutches by what you call it? What it was
-
the other one that walker? I felt I was eighty five.
-
But I'm just the other way around now, and I'm walking,
-
you know, and I couldn't sit properly on the toilet.
-
And then away I go and stand in front of
-
Sorry to be so visual, I'm standing in front of
-
the toilet bol and it goes forth. I say, Lord,
-
thank you that the plumbing works today. All the plumbing
-
works today. And then when I flush, sh I said Lord,
-
thank you that the flash work. How many of you
-
have ever done your thinger and then a flash will work. Oh,
-
thank God, the flash work. However, you turn on the
-
tap and clean water came out, and you didn't thank
-
God for that because it becomes so normal, right, Oh, Lord,
-
thank you for clean water. You know, just just just
-
a heart full of thanksgiving. And I go and do
-
my quiet time, and I said, Lord, thank you that
-
I can spend this hour with you. Constant dependence on
-
God is what ex church must be. What else do
-
we have? Come? Let's go?
-
Is there anymore?
-
Thank you so much x TV for helping me trust
-
in the Lord with all your heart and leano on
-
your own card, understanding in all your ways, acknowledge him
-
all your ways. You have to acknowledge him, acknowledge. I
-
acknowledge you, Julian, I acknowledge you. I acknowledged you. I
-
acknowledge you. Laura, Laura, I acknowledged you. I didn't comment
-
in this look away. I acknowledged you. I acknowledge you.
-
I I acknowledge you. J said, I aged Rome, I
-
acknowledge you. We don't just walk away right. Daily Christians
-
could be walking away carrying a lot of problems, a
-
lot of pain and then you got God is here.
-
No right, But instead of trusting you with all our hearts,
-
we lean on our old understanding.
-
No no, no no no no no no. Give God arrest.
-
He's answering everybody else's problem. Maybe I go now to
-
my mother, my father, my boss, my supervisor. Maybe I
-
go to UH check gipt. Maybe maybe I go now
-
to YouTube. All right, No, we don't want to lean
-
on our old understanding. We want to trust in the
-
Lord with all our hearts and acknowledge him. Yes, Lord, yes, Lord,
-
you know you just keep going. Yeah, this problem, Lord,
-
this problem. I know. I acknowledge you in this area.
-
I acknowledge you in my life. I acknowledge you in
-
my work. I acknowledge you. As I'm getting into the plane.
-
I got into a plane, I lay hands on of course,
-
just before you step into the plane. You know. I
-
know some people do that as well as well. They
-
lay hands on the plane. I lay head on my plane,
-
because on my plane, chare I lay lay hand on
-
the plane. And I said, say, Lord, this plane is
-
your playing today, and you'll get me to where you
-
need to get me because I'm doing your work. I
-
acknowledge you. I sit down and acknowledge. You know, I'm
-
talking to the people I acknowledge. Now. I'm not saying
-
I'm perfect. I'm just saying I'm learning and I'm growing
-
and I'm trying. Okay, everybody, Okay, now what else is there?
-
Let's go deeper. Okay, let's go deeper. Mess I go
-
to my notes. Now, all right, I'm going to draw
-
to a close not too long from now, I guarantee you,
-
but I want to go through some things with you.
-
Like guys, I say, okay, all right, I want to
-
show you something that the Lord showed me. All right, Ah,
-
let's look at the next life. First, the disciples ask
-
Jesus to teach them how to pray. So we all
-
know this real because we heard this message before this part.
-
The disciples ask Jesus to teach them how to pray,
-
and there is no other reference in the entire New
-
Testament at least that says that the disciples ask Jesus
-
to teach them anything else direct reference. Jesus teach us
-
how to fast, don't have right, Jesus teach us how
-
to do missions, don't have. Jesus teach us how to preach,
-
don't have There was one one clear reference that a
-
disciple asks Jesus, teach us how to pray next life, please,
-
And this is the scripture we can find Luke eleven one.
-
Now it came to pass as he was praying, as
-
Jesus was praying in a certain place. Oh yeah, that's right.
-
Jesus also prays. He prays a Lord. He prays the
-
Lord when he sees I'm guessing that when he was praying,
-
all the disciples watching him. Wow, we don't know when
-
he's going to finish her, and he's praying. I don't
-
know when he's going to finish her. But when he stopped,
-
and Jesus did stop, he stopped praying, and then one
-
of it iss had enough guts to go to him
-
and say, Lord, teach us how to pray. Teach us
-
to pray as John also taught his disciples. So in
-
the church, we need to teach our disciples how to pray. Everybody, Okay,
-
all right, now it's obvious is there a next light.
-
It's obvious that in the tree and a half years
-
they were walking with the Lord, that they watched him
-
very closely. That's what discipleship is, and must have realized
-
that there could be no other way, nothing else but
-
prayer that powered his ministry. Do you believe this? Do
-
you believe this? They watched him, and they watched him.
-
How come he can hear this? Is he his hand?
-
You know? Is it because you're watching our disciples? Maybe
-
his hand's moving this wheeler. But you know what, he
-
never hears the same way. Some spitch really close his eyes. Dog,
-
he thought I was going to do it. Yeah, some
-
he made mud, but some he said see right, the
-
blind see. But he had to, he said twice because
-
the first time he saw trees right like shadows. So
-
he says, so do we pray twice for everyone? Because
-
Jesus only did once in the Bible lay hands Ah
-
Mark sixteen seventeen eighteen says, and they.
-
Shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.
-
So lay hands. But Jesus didn't always lay hands on.
-
He comes in front of a man with a withered hand,
-
and he just says, like this, right, he just stretched
-
out that hand and the with it hand went on. No,
-
not with a sound effect, but you know, just right now,
-
didn't touch him. Didn't touch Jim. Right. The friends that
-
let down their friend from the roof right. He just says,
-
your sins are forgiven, right, and as how can you
-
forgive sins? So okay, let me do another thing. No
-
one I do I forgive your sins.
-
Take up your walk.
-
Now, there's many ways. So as they're watching him, they
-
can't quite figure him out there, they can't quite figure
-
the formula. And then they thought and thought to themselves,
-
I'm sure I'm just trying to now be speaking to
-
a whole group of young people in a youth meeting.
-
And so in youth meetings we always use our imagination.
-
The order we get our imagination just gets into the
-
dark ages.
-
But if all of you in this.
-
Room are young, you can imagine with me, I'm working
-
with Jesus, trying to put him in the box, trying
-
to understand him, trying to see, hey, is it one finger?
-
Is it one hand? You know? And they couldn't get
-
any certainty except one. And they must have gone around
-
each other, twelve disciples and say, hey, I think I
-
think it's prayer. I think every time we try to
-
find him and cannot find him, he's gone somewhere. No,
-
he's gone somewhere to pray it.
-
Could that be there? Could there be the secret?
-
And maybe or every time he disappears and he goes
-
and looks for his father because I can't quite put
-
him together, maybe maybe this is the only reason why.
-
And so let's ask him how to pray. All right,
-
let's ask him how to pray. Okay, let's look at
-
one scripture and then I'll go deeper, and then I'll
-
draw toward close.
-
So the Bible says in Isaiah.
-
Fifty three, it confirms that Jesus wasn't handsome, for he
-
shall grow up before him as a tender plant, as
-
a root out of dry ground. He has no form
-
of comeliness comeliness, and when we see him, there is
-
no beauty that we should desire him. Mmmm. Jesus came.
-
He was so normal that when you walk past him,
-
you could miss him. Now, if you want to do
-
a Bible study, form is a physical form. Six pack
-
is a form, muscles, big shoulders, tall form. So he
-
didn't even have that.
-
You study.
-
If you go into your study, form means physical attractiveness.
-
Comeliness is different. Comeliness is royalty. So you can be
-
actually not good looking, right, but you could be riding
-
a rose royce and then suddenly you're good looking. You
-
know a guy that was talking, I think his name
-
is Steve Harvey. Steve Harvey said, don't worry about your looks.
-
If you can come in a ferrari, you look good already.
-
So first this looks didn't have that. Then now comeliness.
-
Comeliness is majesty, a royalty, and majesty that's coming. He
-
didn't even have that. Let mean, when he walked into
-
a room, he didn't come, Oh, here comes the king
-
because he carried this king.
-
He didn't have that.
-
No form, no comeliness, and no beauty, no beauty. He
-
will not appear. Jesus will not appear on the front
-
page of a magazine. Okay, so now it's where I
-
head to the last lap and tell you a few things.
-
And those of you who are long enough with me,
-
oh no, this is true, ladies and gentlemen. Let me
-
tell you about ex Church. Let me tell you about
-
ex Church because ex Church has this value called prayer power.
-
And I want to tell you a few things that
-
God told me.
-
Are you ready? I don't know why you're here now,
-
but if you're here, you're here because of Jesus, and
-
you're here because prayer is alive in this house.
-
So point number one I want to give.
-
Very quickly, don't you if you take it down, is
-
just one of those things the lot just dropped on
-
my heart. One thing I think the lot all show
-
me and encourage me. You will never be able to
-
point to a foreign a foreign founder in ex. Church one.
-
You will never be able to point to a foreign founder. Now,
-
some churches are drawn or drawing people because they have
-
a foreign founder.
-
I know when I was part of SIB.
-
SIB that now looks very local will tell you that
-
SIB was started by Australian missionaries. We don't have that.
-
There is no foreign pastor. Unless you think that your
-
pastor being born in Singapore tells you that a foreign
-
pastor can also draw a lot of people.
-
We don't have one.
-
We don't have people hired from outside because every one
-
of our pastors was built from inside. There's not one
-
pasta in extras that has been hired from outside because
-
God told us build your leaders from within. Trust them,
-
believe in them, empower them and let them lead, let
-
them plant just that's number two. In fact number three, okay,
-
we don't have any Hirings. When I was speaking in
-
Planet Shakers camp in Melbourne many years ago, a pastor
-
Madfielder was still there and I spoke the last message
-
that he said to me later because almost all of them,
-
all five hundred of the young people are almost all
-
of them were the Auto co.
-
Couldn't even take them.
-
So the Holy Spirit came upon all of them, and
-
four hundred ninety five of them were Asians, only five
-
whites in Melbourne Planet Shakers Church in the campus. And
-
then Madfielder told me later as he was drinking music,
-
Passa Kenneth, I want to let you know that last
-
message has confirmed some things to me. And because of
-
that last message, I will go to Malaysia with my
-
family and we will do whatever God told us. Before
-
that message, he said to me he was struggling whether
-
he should go or not. And so a lot of
-
us will point to the amazing personality in a Passer
-
Madfielder for the how Kingdom City has grown. Oh, I
-
tell you this man is a good man. He loves
-
Asians that he was one. You know. He loves chili,
-
he loves fright food. He loves it, he said to me,
-
Passer Kenneth thank you for that message. I want to
-
tell you that my family and I are deciding to
-
go to Malaysia because God said to me, don't let
-
The message I spoke at the camp was don't let
-
t h e y, don't let thy dictate your future.
-
And a lot of us are surrounded by T Y.
-
They they they, he said they did this. They went
-
on a holiday, they bought a car, they bought a house.
-
They you know this day, TG Y can be one
-
of the worst four letter words in the world. And
-
we are so pressured by t g Y. And so
-
that was my message. And uh, and I love the
-
fact that Pastor Matt said to me, I am gonna
-
stop hearing what they say, and I'm just gonna hear
-
what he says. Then you have this foreign pastor who
-
comes and the church has grown. I want to tell
-
you that there's no foreign mentor. Someone asked me today,
-
you know, Pascana, do you have a foreign mentor. I
-
don't have one.
-
My friends have got one. They got one in Singapore,
-
they got one in America.
-
They can say my mentor is from America, my mentor
-
is from London, my mentor is from Singapore, my mentor
-
is from Australia.
-
I don't have one.
-
I'm not saying it out to be proud. God showed me,
-
he says Kenneth. I want to tell you this is
-
truly a Malaysian made church, a church made in Malaysia
-
by my grace.
-
And for my glory.
-
You didn't start with a foreign founder. You have no
-
foreign pastor you have no foreign mentor you have no
-
foreign support. Every bit of money that built X came
-
from the Lord. Somebody say, amen, Kenneth chan, let me
-
tell you another thing. You don't have any foreign speakers
-
week after week is your own people that's rising up
-
to bring the word of God to the church.
-
Sometimes.
-
I remember I was part of FGA and MG had
-
very many good foreign speakers. And that's not wrong, it's
-
not wrong. But you can't give glory to your speakers.
-
That's why I'm trying to get at so as I'm
-
going to go through this list, and I hope that
-
by the end you know what there for brought us here.
-
That should be the question you asked as I go
-
through the list, Prayer brought us here? Just plain dependency
-
on the Lord. I think every time you're are up
-
to speak right, You're probably going to depend on the
-
Lord like right, Jason, because none of us are born
-
to speak, none of us are trained to speak in
-
that sense, but we depend on the Holy Spirit. Next one,
-
no foreign speakers, okay, no foreign highers. I said that really,
-
no external highest, No sugar daddy. Do you know that
-
God has not allowed ex church to have many millionaires?
-
I thought of myself why I got it?
-
Helped? Of course, a liter just got no the idea.
-
When I was talking to a pasta chewing g of
-
Sib Kenneth, let's do this together, okay, you and I,
-
let's reach the young people of Malaysia. I said, yeah, great, Passau,
-
I really have this vision to reach young people of Malayia.
-
And then he tells me money is not a problem.
-
I love it. I mean, I wish more pastors with
-
the minute. But of course, so many millionaires and that
-
dogs and tund streets are in Sib. Great they have
-
been able to draw that. And you know, rich people
-
draw rich people. I usually don't have all, so I
-
cannot depend on multi millionaires. I've got to depend on
-
people with a millionairs. So don't lose your hair so quickly.
-
This is normal. People. Hello, Normal people who love Jesus
-
who put into the offering are like the lady put
-
two mites and on that God builds his house. No, sugar, Daddy,
-
don't have. Don't have again. Let's do this right, Let's
-
go plan now. The next church we're gonna plan is
-
probably nothingham uk. Okay, so the nothingham here universe Nottingham
-
will will link with the nothingham in uk. Uh. Oh,
-
no problem, I'm just going to I'll just go and
-
ask time tree so and so so I can get
-
the budget. No, no, there's't there's no time tree so
-
and so. There's no tree. There's just you and me
-
and prayer. Oh God, please, if you don't move, there
-
is no church. That's right. That's exactly God how God
-
wants it. He doesn't want you to depend on anything else.
-
No famous personality links, no famous personality links. I don't
-
know you're taking notes or not, but I'll give these
-
thoughts to you if you are, if you're interested, this
-
is your legacy as ex church. There is no famous
-
personality links. I remember a time when our dear friend,
-
Pastor Kevin Lou built a city hoverse. His famous personality
-
link was come he right, and of course when com
-
he fell, you know they had to change the name.
-
Of the church.
-
No poster boy. The recent election was won by BN,
-
and everybody says the poster boy is on, that was on.
-
He's a poster boy of BN.
-
Here in exchigs don't have post the boy don't have
-
no prestigious Bible school, right, Pastor Kenachinu graduated from all
-
Roberts universe. No, in fact, can I please confess to you,
-
I don't have a Bible's School degree. I only have
-
a law degree. And actually it shouldn't work because we
-
are doing the work of grace. No best selling book.
-
At least some passes got best selling book. People come
-
by the tensend. I tried to write about but it's
-
far from being bestseller. If I lose money, I print,
-
and I because God said write the book, I print
-
and then I let it go, and then you know
-
it's losing money. No best selling album. We tried, Julian,
-
We tried experiment one. Do you know why we still
-
call the experiment because after today we still experimenting our
-
own guys. I remember was you know, really like we
-
can't do an album? Who are we to do an album,
-
you know, And I said no, the Lord says to me.
-
But it wasn't supposed to be a best selling album.
-
It was just supposed to obedient to the Lord, pray
-
and get an album out. No best selling album. Okay,
-
now I have to really go fast. No superstar band. Sorry, John,
-
I I I John, you look like your superstars, seriously
-
said I'm fine, I'm fine. I fine. Yeah, I don't, don't.
-
Don't there, But you're still here. You're still here because
-
you didn't come for the book. You didn't come for
-
the album. You didn't come for the band. You didn't
-
come for the personality. You didn't come for the speaker.
-
No big band, no big sound, no big lighting system.
-
You know, the sound system in this place can all
-
be packed in a box and put into a storage
-
here and still not think over the storage.
-
You know, you only have a small part in the storage.
-
But there's done.
-
You didn't come for the sound, you didn't come for
-
the band. You didn't come for the system.
-
No lavish or expensive equipment, that's right, No lavish equipment,
-
No new fashion worth talking about.
-
Yeah, you guys addressed really.
-
Well, seriously, but there's no new fashion worth talking about
-
I know, and I look around. The fashion in churches
-
are changing, and people go like, Oh, that's cooler, that's nicer.
-
There's mobile, don't have don't have no new trend worth following.
-
I'm gonna enter it. I got, I got three more.
-
No denominational backing. I see some churches do very well,
-
but they could be part of the Methodist Church, do
-
U MC. I see some Baptist churches doing well. I
-
see some SIB churches doing well, but extras has no
-
denomination to depend on. No beautiful building, no numbers that
-
draw numbers.
-
Let's look at the next light. Oh is this the
-
next lil ready for you see your Is this the
-
next night?
-
Okay?
-
You see your calling? Brethren?
-
That not many wise according to the flash, No many mighty,
-
not many noble are called. But God has chosen the
-
foolish things of the world to put the shame the wise.
-
And God has chosen the weak things of the world
-
to put the shame. The shame of things which are mighty,
-
and the base things of the world, and the things
-
which are despised. God has chosen, and the things which
-
are not to bring to nothing, the things that are
-
that no flesh should glory in His presence as I do.
-
To a close.
-
This is what it is to be a prayer Howard
-
church is to be a church that lives and breathes
-
and survives and succeeds on total dependency on God, which
-
means that prayer has to power us. When people come
-
to our office, they come to my office. My office
-
base small, you know, one of the smallest pastor's office.
-
I think it's just that corner that can only sit
-
two people in front of me. And it's a small office.
-
But it's okay because on my walls it's empty. I
-
don't have any Bible degree. I pray, I pray, and
-
I ask God, God, where next? What do you want
-
for this church? Maybe a keybodies or a guitarist can
-
just come up, not the whole band yet, Maybe maybe
-
just I just send God's presence moving in this place.
-
So I just want to have someone just make this
-
into a worship more than just a closing Thank you Jesus,
-
Thank you Jesus. There's nothing else that we can offer you.
-
There's nothing else that I can offer you. There's nothing
-
else that Jason can offer you. There's nothing else that
-
will make Julian and Laura are successful in allow us.
-
We are a prayer powered church. Nothing else, no form
-
or comeliness, no beauty, nothing. Our walls are empty. We pray.
-
We pray for every need let we have, we pray.
-
We pray for every direction we need to take.
-
We pray. We pray for every church plan before it starts.
-
We pray for every partnership. We pray. I want you
-
to know that you are part of a praying church,
-
and the reason why you're here is because of nothing
-
else but Him. We have no external attraction for you,
-
no external thing, nothing. The reason why you're here is
-
because prayer brought you here. I'm gonna give you the
-
last slide if I can. Prayer means humility before God.
-
Prayer means dependency on God. Prayer means powered by God.
-
Prayer means relationship with God. Prayer means glory to God.
-
That's what prayer means. You don't want to know what
-
Pastor Kenna Chin's biblical degree is, because he has none.
-
But what you might want to know is that I
-
was in my quiet time this morning from four fifty
-
five in the morning to seven fifteen.
-
That's what you want to know.
-
I woke up at four forty five, was in my
-
prayer room at four fifty five, and I was just
-
caught up in God's presence, downloading from the Lord. And
-
when I was finished at seven fifteen, I felt so
-
full of the Lord. I felt so blessed, so confident
-
in God. What you want to know is not how
-
long Kenneth Chin has been in ministry. You want to know.
-
Whether he prayed for you this morning.
-
There are many things that we run after that actually
-
has no bearing on our faith. There's many things that
-
we run after that actually has no bearing on our future.
-
What you want to know is whether your pastor has prayed,
-
spend time in God's presence. What you want to know
-
is whether Jason before he preached has been in the
-
presence of Almighty God. What you want to know before
-
a family goes to Laos is whether together they have
-
spent time talking and listening to God and will continue
-
to do so allows what you want to know. What
-
you want to know is that we are prayer power
-
and that nothing else about X has brought you here
-
because there's nothing else we have to offer. We don't
-
even have our own building, we don't have many things
-
that people chase. After. All I can offer you is
-
that we seek God. Don't have all the money, but
-
we seek God. He gives. Don't have all the money,
-
but we seek God and He plans the church. We
-
are a prayer powered church. What is the power behind
-
X NO? Not that pastor? What's the power behind the
-
x NO? Not that building? What's the power behind x NO?
-
Not that best selling book? What's the power behind x NO?
-
Not that winning song? What's the power behind x NO?
-
Not that band? What's what's the real power?
-
The disciples up for We're asking what is it?
-
What is it Jesus? What makes Jesus take?
-
And they said to themselves, it must be prayer. It
-
must be prayer.
-
Lord, teach us how to pray, because we know that's
-
where the power lies. As church, that's where your power lies.
-
We hope you've been blessed by this message.
