  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. So today we're gonna be talking about ownership, promoting ownership,

  4. promoting the guys. I'm going to try and be as

  5. loving to you as possible. I'll try to be as

  6. loving to you as I can, But I also want

  7. to be honest with you because the idea is to

  8. see you all in heaven. Yeah. And in order for

  9. us to make it to God's house, we have to

  10. make it His way, not our way. There is no

  11. such thing as the song my way where God is concerned,

  12. unless it's referring to Jesus. Okay, so let's see what

  13. the Word of God has to say now. In X

  14. two forty two, it says, and they continue steadfastly in

  15. the apostles, doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread,

  16. and in prayers, ownership promoting Who is the day that

  17. the law that the scripture is talking about is talking

  18. about the church at that time, that fledgling organization, that

  19. very new group of people that had come together with

  20. the faith in Jesus Christ. And it says what it says,

  21. they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine. Do you know

  22. what that means? Continued steadfastly. It means this they followed closely, Guys,

  23. do we follow closely? That? The word, the word of

  24. God that is preached to us every Sunday. And here

  25. some of us say, ah, I've heard that before. Don't

  26. you have anything new to say? Did you learn it

  27. the first time? If you learn it the first time,

  28. don't need to be repeated. But the fact is repetition

  29. takes place. Why because we don't get it the first time?

  30. And this is just the way it is, because we

  31. don't have God right in front of us that will

  32. smack us if we do wrong. If God is standing

  33. right in front of us when we do wrong and

  34. we get smacked, we will take the trouble not to

  35. do wrong. But because we don't see God, we assume

  36. he's not around. You see, And that's the problem of

  37. life with us. What we don't see don't hurt us.

  38. Right wrong, they paid attention. So how many of us

  39. fall asleep on Sunday? You were, It's okay, your baby.

  40. The rest of us, when you fall asleep, it's not

  41. a pretty side. He's a pretty side if he falls asleep. Yeah,

  42. the thing is paid attention to God's word, paid attention

  43. to what was being thought. And you know what. Scriptions

  44. also explains this as they were consistent, meaning that this

  45. happened every time they met, they paid attention, they followed closely.

  46. It wasn't sometimes and sometimes on, sometimes off. They followed closely.

  47. They were consistent with So unlike the church today, because

  48. what happens we lack consistency. You know what is consistency.

  49. This is my church. When some band from overseas comes

  50. down and is worshiping in some other church, if I

  51. got to miss it, I got to miss it. You

  52. know why? Because I am consistent. My devotion to God

  53. doesn't depend on the latest happening that is happening around

  54. the place. You see, what I'm sharing with you is

  55. also what I've lived for forty seven years in the Lord,

  56. and I can tell you as I approach the end

  57. of my life, just relaxed, not so soon, but you know,

  58. I'm on the other side of the hill now, Okay,

  59. on the other side of the hill. I become more

  60. knowledgeable of the fact that the consistency that I've showed

  61. throughout my years has helped me tremendously. If you ask

  62. you so, why you don't seem to be making any headway.

  63. Could be because you're putting in forward gear and then

  64. in reverse gear and putting in forward gain reverse gear,

  65. and you're still stuck in the same place. Then the

  66. other thing was what were they consistent with? They were

  67. consistent with what the word? They were consistent with the

  68. Word of God? Are we consistent with the Word of

  69. God or not? The Word of God says, hmm, drink,

  70. but don't get drunk. Have any of us? Don't put

  71. up your hands. Have any of us become drunk? Don't

  72. put up your hands. Yeah, in the Holy spiriten is

  73. one thing in any other kind of spirit, right not?

  74. Scripture says, don't let funny language come out of your mouth.

  75. I'm guilty. When the guy passes me, I call him monkey.

  76. What's wrong with this monkey? Then I have to say, sorry, Lord, why?

  77. Because whatever it is, it's still not nice to call

  78. a human being an animal? Right or not? They are

  79. still made after the image of God. You get what

  80. I'm saying. Consistent with the word? And what did we

  81. just do? What do we just do? Yes, we did

  82. worship breaking of bread Ah communion, communion, Hey guys, why

  83. do we do communion? Why do we do it together?

  84. Why don't we just do it at home and then

  85. come to church, say five minutes? Why not? Why is

  86. it so important? There is a power in doing things together.

  87. And lastly, in prayer, in prayer. You know, every one

  88. of us thinks that pre service prayers in option. If

  89. we didn't think it was an option, every one of

  90. us would be here. But that's not often the case

  91. because service starts it ten thirty, right does it? You

  92. mean to say God only walks through the door at

  93. ten thirty. Trust me is here before the first person

  94. shows up? Why is it? Why is it so important? Well,

  95. you see the early church they were consistent in prayer. Well,

  96. let's not talk about pre service prayer. What about prayer

  97. service twice a month? Do we awaire ourselves to that time?

  98. Let me tell you what took place? Because the believers

  99. had this ownership, These believers had this focus. Because they

  100. had this focus, this happened verse forty three. Then came

  101. fear upon every soul. Why because many wonders and signs

  102. were done through the apostles. If you want to see

  103. signs and wonders. You have to have a high ready

  104. for it. I mean, you can't come on a prier

  105. meeting on a Tuesday. Do you expect to see the

  106. did come to write to life? I mean, let's get

  107. with the program. Let's stop honestly here. If you want

  108. to see amazing things happen, we have to be focused

  109. on doing something that the Lord wants, irrespective of how

  110. we feel. Can I tell you and can I speak

  111. to this honestly? My father is in the hospital right now,

  112. and he is for all purposes, fighting for his life.

  113. And I'm here on a Sunday? Does it make me

  114. a big deal? Is it? Am I trying to be

  115. all extra special? No? See you? And I got to

  116. understand that only means we do what we have to

  117. do in good times and in not so good times.

  118. So I told Pastor Sandra, I said, whatever happens to

  119. my dad, even if he were to pass away yesterday

  120. or today, I will still come and do what I

  121. have to do. And the Lord was faithful. You know why,

  122. because he gave me a word for you. And because

  123. he gave me a word for you, I cannot keep

  124. it to myself because my father is ill. Oh, That's

  125. such a terrible thing, isn't it. But let me tell

  126. you on the good side. On Monday, he gave his

  127. life to Jesus. So now so now with his own lips,

  128. Jesus coming to my heart and be my Lord and savior.

  129. Forgive me for my sins, cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

  130. And now I'll see you in heaven. So do I

  131. need to fear anymore? No, because God has taken care

  132. of it. Guys, when my father goes to be with

  133. the Lord, you will not see me crying. Know what

  134. you will see, And that doesn't mean I didn't love

  135. my father, okay, but you will see somebody who will

  136. be wanting to party. Seriously, if you left, if it's

  137. left up to me, it will be a party fleeing guitars,

  138. drum rolls. Why if I really believe he's gone to

  139. be with Jesus, Hey, I'm going to see him again,

  140. how can I be sad? I want to tell you

  141. there's a scripture it's into Timothy one twelve that gives

  142. me strength, and this is what it says. For this reason,

  143. I also suffer these things, suffer what things? Well? You know,

  144. father not well in hospital, those kinds of things. Nevertheless,

  145. for this, nevertheless, I am not ashamed. Nevertheless, I'm not

  146. ashamed to tell you I'm here in spite some missing.

  147. What kind of a son is this? It's okay because

  148. why for I know whom I have believed and am

  149. persuaded that he is able to keep that which I've

  150. committed to him until that day. Hey, you know what,

  151. my father will be okay, and at least until I

  152. finish this message, because I know Jesus, He knows Jesus,

  153. We know Jesus. I think that sounds like a song coming.

  154. The last time I shed in X PJ and I

  155. said a song came, a song actually came, and I

  156. wrote a whole song. Song is ready already, you know

  157. he is ready. It's a very interesting song. This is

  158. another one. I know Jesus, You know Jesus, We know Jesus. Okay,

  159. now it says here the fear came upon every soul. Why,

  160. you know it's in one sense it is, yeah, fear.

  161. Don't mess with these guys. You know, it's good for

  162. us to have a healthy dose of fear where God

  163. is concerned, all right, because God is God and we

  164. are not You mess with God. I mean, if God

  165. decides to let if he had hair, one drop of

  166. hair to fall on you, it will be crushed. Don't

  167. mess with God and bye bye by you know. In

  168. same light, don't mess with his servants. Guys, you're putting

  169. coals of fire on your head. Always honor God's servant,

  170. whatever happens. Forty seven years I've been following this and

  171. I'm okay, I'm good. Let's move on. Now. All who believed,

  172. and this is where we're coming together about ownership. Now,

  173. all who believed were together and had all things in common.

  174. You know, I always thought that as I grew up

  175. as a Christian, this man that these people sold everything

  176. that they had, because if you go further in the scripture,

  177. that oh, they had no possessions. Everything everybody owned. This

  178. is what I thought until I took the trouble to

  179. learn the word, understand what it said, and then its

  180. meaning came alive. Take note of what ownership to us means.

  181. It means this word together refers to the time they

  182. spent together as much as it is referred to the place. Okay,

  183. number one, do not forsake the gathering of the saints.

  184. That's what scripture says. So what are we doing now?

  185. We are gathering together? Yet some people will not be

  186. in church on a Sunday. But maybe because they got

  187. some the cathalon, some lawn, some running, some swimming. I

  188. don't know. I cannot understand that. If you take trouble

  189. to go to service at a different time to make

  190. sure you do not miss your time with the Lord,

  191. I'm okay with that. But if you don't show up

  192. on a Sunday because of these races, I have a

  193. problem with that. You know, my children they learned tekondo,

  194. you know, you know when they stopped learning tekno, you

  195. know what bell? They were white? Do you know why

  196. they were white? Because they had the grading on a Sunday?

  197. God first, always, God first. When my daughter grew up,

  198. she defended her classmate against the Iranian boyfriend or Middle

  199. Eastern boyfriend who was beating her up. She came to

  200. the friend's aid. She pushed that guy away, and she

  201. stood in between that guy and has it. Don't touch her.

  202. This is my daughter who did not complete all the

  203. different belts, you know, but you know what, she got

  204. strength from the Lord to do the right thing. The

  205. guy threatened her then I made an entrance. He threatened

  206. her no more. The other thing is they held all things.

  207. I always thought that it meant possessions, but actually, you

  208. know what it refers to. It refers to this. When

  209. one was joyful, all were joyful. They were having care

  210. and concern for each other. There was empathy that felt

  211. it when someone was going through something difficult. They were

  212. counting on one another. They helped one another. This is

  213. what it meant by they held all things together. So

  214. how many of us after service, knowing our brother or

  215. sister in this congregation is hurting, just go home. You

  216. can't do that. That's not the life God has meant

  217. for you. You are meant to be better because growing

  218. up means you own it. Growing up means you own it. Uh,

  219. this are not gonna ask? Okay, no, no, I okay,

  220. don't put up your hands. How many of you are

  221. not going for the missions conference? Huh? Ex church conference? Okay?

  222. How many of you got SIAMP? You can give me

  223. a percentage in the judge forty percent. So sixty percent

  224. of the people here have not signed up. Is it

  225. compulsory for you to sign up? No? But you have

  226. a God who's looking at us taking ownership. What do

  227. you think ownership means? Does it mean only when things

  228. are working well and swell? I mean if we take

  229. everything as Oh, it's not compulsory. Can I ask you

  230. a question, Why do you think it's compulsory for God

  231. to take you to His house in heaven? Do you

  232. think it's compulsory? Let me tell you what one scripture says. Guys,

  233. I tell you this one we all love. Okay, you

  234. gotta know my it's not to hit anybody, but because

  235. this is what the Lord. Remember, I told you the

  236. Lord had a word and he kept talking to me

  237. about it. And in Matthew seven. I'll turn to that

  238. now I've actually marked it out. I think it's Matthew seven.

  239. That's right. Um Ah says this. Not everyone, this is

  240. reading from verse twenty one. Not everyone who says to

  241. be Lord Lord shall enter the Kingdom of heaven. But

  242. he who does the will of my Father in heaven.

  243. The first point. Now, let me tell you that how

  244. is God to be enthusiastic about our things? Are? If

  245. we are not enthusiastic about his we think, ah, it's

  246. it's it's it's not compulsory, it's optional. Hey, guys, it's

  247. your church event. God has put it upon the hearts

  248. of the leadership of the church to hold this so

  249. that we can be better in our service to the Lord.

  250. So when we reject something like this, we're not rejecting

  251. some ordinary planner. We are rejecting the plan that God

  252. is put in the hearts of the leadership for you

  253. and for me. And so we tell go, we're not

  254. going to show up Saturday. Are you one? Old Saturday?

  255. What a horrible thing. Let me just tell you this.

  256. Let me hear what scripture says after that, and it

  257. says many will come to me in that day saying,

  258. Lord Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast

  259. out demons in your name, and done many wonders in

  260. your name. This is very fearful to me because this

  261. is talking about believers. He's talking about you and I.

  262. He's talking about us who are supposed to love Jesus

  263. and the things of God. And the next scripture I

  264. cannot get out of my head. And then I will

  265. declare to them, I never knew you depart from me,

  266. you who practice lawlessness. Guys, when I was praying for

  267. the message, I was taking my walks very early in

  268. the morning today. You gotta understand the tone of this word. Depart,

  269. you know, is not putting depart from me. Get out,

  270. that's what it means. Get out. I didn't know you,

  271. I don't know you. Get out? You know why? Because

  272. God is very protective of his house. Do you think

  273. He's gonna let any tom dey can hurry in? Or

  274. is he going to let into his heaven? It's not

  275. my heaven, it's his heaven. Is he gonna let into

  276. his heaven only those who really love him and his things?

  277. You know, every time there is an opportunity like this,

  278. you know what it is. It is an opportunity to

  279. show the Lord. Not all of us can go for

  280. missions all the time. Not all of us can go

  281. here and go there. Some of us may be afraid

  282. to worship, to witness about Jesus. We try in our

  283. own way. But these are incidents, or these are things

  284. that occur to at least show God, God, I'm interested

  285. about your things, and we just pass it up like that.

  286. Oh No, very inconvenient for me to attend, and we

  287. think God will close his eyes. You ask you, you

  288. ask yourselver. This is this is how the Lord put

  289. it to me. If you have a family event going on,

  290. you have a family event going on, and your children

  291. don't even show up, how do you think that would

  292. make you feel? You all are young, you all don't

  293. know older ones. How do you feel feel better or not?

  294. Because they got children and they try and whole events

  295. and they struggle sometimes call the children don't answer the phone,

  296. right or not? Because the truth here, I come my

  297. own thing going on. Hey, let's not let God say

  298. he's got his own thing going on and you're not included.

  299. That scripture is saying that. Now, guys, I have to

  300. tell you this because in in in having a shared ownership,

  301. you and I got to realize we have to wake up.

  302. God is not governed like how we govern things. He

  303. is God and we are not. Guys. Every time we

  304. get an opportunity to show the Lord that he means

  305. something to us, let's take it. You you think it's

  306. it's it's easy to shadow word, guys. I was just

  307. telling Elder, I was just telling Pastor Stephen. So I

  308. attended the wedding last week, right was last week. I

  309. was half dead on the way back. Seriously, because for

  310. some reason that Saturday, I didn't sleep. I couldn't sleep,

  311. so we went for the wedding, which was really early

  312. in the morning. Because you know, you have to care

  313. means you gotta leave early. You gotta park somewhere and

  314. then walk somewhere. And you know I don't not care,

  315. so I have to really go early. So I can,

  316. you know, take the wrong turns, which I did, even

  317. in my wayser, I'm walking to the place right instead

  318. of walking to the right, I'm walking away. So okay,

  319. I got to turn back. Ell. The neighbor is saying,

  320. you pleaser, don't make any mistake walking. My legs already tired. Okay,

  321. and I walked the other way. Eventually I got there.

  322. On the way back, we went to sleep around six

  323. o'clock that day. In the evening, I was so exhausted

  324. I could barely drive home. She had to struggle to

  325. keep me awake. She was. It was just one of

  326. those days. That's just one of those days. What do

  327. you think God would have felt about elder Meible myself?

  328. It is old guys, not bad. They tried, so I'll

  329. bless them. At our age, we cannot run like these guys. No, seriously,

  330. I've struggled bending down also to pick something up takes

  331. me a little bit of time. Okay, But whatever we

  332. can do, when we can do it, let's do it. Because,

  333. after all, who are we doing it for. We're doing

  334. it for God. Guys. I need you to see that

  335. ownership moves beyond just our comfort. Guys, is that the

  336. only thing we do? If it's comfortable to us, then

  337. only we do it. Hey, let's let's have some discomfort

  338. in our life if it means glory eyeing the Lord.

  339. Three for three year, I have shared with three old

  340. people and they come to the Lord. And I have

  341. told the churches. You've got an old father, uncle aunt

  342. that has not come to the Lord. Call me. I

  343. will come and shay them. You know how many calls

  344. have gone until today? None? Zero zeros said, that's the

  345. wrong one. Either you guys are doing a great job

  346. sharing with them, or you don't think it's important enough.

  347. All people are, and I qualify all people are. You

  348. have to make sure they know. Jesus, you have to.

  349. There isn't even a chance you delay. You got to

  350. make sure they know. Then you say, but I shared

  351. with my dad one hundred and one times. Let me

  352. tell you. Even scripture says a prophet is never welcoming

  353. their own house. Get somebody else to do it. That

  354. common sense, right, Get somebody else to do it. If

  355. you're not successful, get somebody else to talk, because your

  356. father knows you too well. This guy talking, I can't

  357. take it seriously. Somebody else talk. Hey, y okay, okay.

  358. But fortunately for my dad, because they have had forty

  359. seven years to observe us. And with my dad, I

  360. speak honestly and straight. So ever since I was a boy.

  361. You know, he asked me a question and just tell

  362. him like it is. So there is that rapport. So

  363. it took forty seven years. But it's okay. I don't care.

  364. He's going to be with the Lord. And this is

  365. where I confused it a little. Okay, And they sold

  366. This is verse forty five, And I thought, wow, the

  367. early church sold everything. Look what scripture says, and listened

  368. to it carefully, and sold their possessions and goods and

  369. divided them among all as anyone had need. The word

  370. is as as. The word all is not there. The

  371. scripture didn't say they sold all their possessions. The word

  372. as is that you know what it means. It means

  373. that the people loved each other in the church so

  374. much that if somebody had a need and there was

  375. no no finance, they would take some of their possessions

  376. and sell it so that they could get the money

  377. to help. They didn't sell everything as people had need.

  378. This is important for us because in having this ownership

  379. to your fellowship, you and I, we have a responsibility

  380. towards the need of somebody else. I have my own children,

  381. now I have the bought about this one because they're

  382. part of your fellowship. They part of your Christian brotherhood.

  383. You know, I was in a school, this is about

  384. ten years ago, and one of the children, one of

  385. the one of the kids, one of the kids. The

  386. parents got into financial difficulty and the boy, the boy

  387. was going to have to stop schooling. Is a private school, right,

  388. it's going to have to stop schooling. You know what

  389. his classmates did. They got together and they saved money

  390. and they put their friend through the remaining some terms

  391. to make him complete school with them. That is ownership.

  392. That is ownership, and this is the kind of ownership

  393. God is expecting of us. So continuing daily with one

  394. according the temple and breaking bread from house to house.

  395. They ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart.

  396. You know what this means. They moved away from self focus.

  397. That's what this means. They moved away from self focus

  398. to the needs of others. How many of us live

  399. for ourselves? Oh ten minutes? Wow? Okay, thank you so much. Hey,

  400. I got the I got the oomph Okay, all right,

  401. I'm gonna I'm gonna run now, okay, all right, So

  402. they move away from self focus to the needs of others.

  403. God doesn't want us to keep thinking about ourselves. Guys,

  404. it's a horrible way to live if the only person

  405. you're thinking about is yourself. It's a horrible way wait

  406. to live. You know why, because don't expect people to

  407. be around you when you need them, which means that

  408. you have to be able to handle everything that comes

  409. your way without help. You go and ask somebody from pray,

  410. why should that person pray with you? Have you prayed

  411. for them? Have you prayed for someone in need? Why

  412. should somebody pray for you when you're in need? Think

  413. of others. Move away from self thinking. God knows how

  414. to look after you when you are looking after somebody.

  415. God knows how to look after you. This is what

  416. I tell everybody, say, don't worry about how much a

  417. time you spend for the Lord, because God will take

  418. care of your own things. Seeking first the Kingdom of

  419. God and all these things will be what ad dirt?

  420. He doesn't say, seeking first the Kingdom of God asks,

  421. and then we will give accordingly. The a Scripture say

  422. that no automatically things are a dirt. They simplify their

  423. desires a could benefit. How do you like that simplified

  424. their desires so others could benefit. I read about some

  425. people who sold their fancy cars to help other people.

  426. How old is that? You know what? One day they'll

  427. get a fancy car or better stay when you go

  428. to heaven. They don't need cast like a fly your

  429. fly there, but for I need a car. Hey, you

  430. got things to look forward to in the Lord besides

  431. just yours and my desires. Okay, So praising God and

  432. having favor with all people and the Lord, and you

  433. see why did the Lord add the Lord added to

  434. the church daily those who were being saved. Why because

  435. they were praising God, they were having God favored with people.

  436. They were not thinking about themselves. They were thinking about others.

  437. They were focused on the word, and they took ownership.

  438. Guess what happened? The church grew. Now the church is

  439. a community, not a crowd. The early church was marked

  440. by togetherness. No one had lacked because no one lived

  441. only for themselves. A common faith, a common lord, a

  442. common aim. The church is a community, not a crowd.

  443. Because why community means no boundary lines things. It's not

  444. my responsibility. Everything belongs and belongs means contributing. I don't

  445. know why everybody laughs, maybe because that was funny. Okay, anyway,

  446. so you know what, commune taking ownership. And look, extra's

  447. got a lot of activities to try and help the

  448. community around us. Why because we're here, right? Is it

  449. some other community you and an xbo is t'm a somebody

  450. else's respond when he knows yours? Why you are part

  451. of the community here? Hey, look, we are owners. We

  452. are not renters. Okay. Or home is not a hotel.

  453. How many of you have heard your parents say, hey,

  454. this is my house. Don't treat it like a hotel.

  455. Have you heard not? Because no ownership, come in, take

  456. the shoes through one here throw the other day you

  457. find a shit hanging on the fan. Come on, come on,

  458. just keep your little area need? Is what taking ownership? Guys?

  459. You keep your room clean. Your parents keep the dining

  460. room and the living room and the staircase clean. Okay,

  461. what ownership? Right? But they take the trouble to keep

  462. them clean. And what are you doing hanging underway in

  463. the window? Come on, guys, Tenants move in and out.

  464. Owners take responsibility. In a hotel, you don't unpack? How

  465. many of you when you go to hotel? Everything in

  466. your bag you take out and you hang colord, don't

  467. have why because you're in a hotel. You only take

  468. out what you need tomorrow. I'm using the ship that

  469. when I put up. Okay, so when it is no

  470. longer longer comfortable, hotel is not treating you well.

  471. What you do?

  472. You grab and you go? Can you do that? Have

  473. your house? Not so easy? Right? M hmm. Sons and

  474. daughters take ownership of their home efficient forces. Every part

  475. does its share, And that is why we use the

  476. language of partners, partners, not members. Members. You don't like,

  477. you score them. This is how you give me my food?

  478. Do you know I am a special member here? I

  479. have heard people go through that, don't we are as

  480. a partner. Something goes wrong, Yo, we must do it right.

  481. We must get it right because it's only ship. It's

  482. part of what you're doing. So everybody, every part, is

  483. contributing to overall growth. Guys, it leads to overall growth.

  484. How many of us would give up business to a

  485. son or a daughter who can't be bothered. You will

  486. only take your successful business and pass it on to

  487. your child if that child shows responsibility. Ownership must be promoted,

  488. not assumed. This means that we must constantly tell people.

  489. We cannot assume people don't do something because we don't

  490. tell them. Oh, they must know. They ought to know. Well, today,

  491. you know, I'm sorry I've told you. So none of

  492. us here today this morning. I have excused because I've

  493. told you. But if you were not here today, then

  494. maybe you got some excuse because you didn't know. Right.

  495. But now I'm here to tell you have to take ownership.

  496. Ownership is not an option. Ownership is the responsibility of maturity.

  497. Is the responsibility of maturity. Okay. Competence is built through involvement,

  498. So how do we get better at doing what we're doing?

  499. Get involved? So you don't know how to do it

  500. something that's all right, you know. I didn't know how

  501. to play the drums, never played the drums before. At

  502. the age of twenty five, I didn't have a drummer

  503. in church. Pastor looks at me and said, you are

  504. the drummer. So for twenty five years I played the drums.

  505. I was the best beat keeper. No metroom came close

  506. to keeping rhythm like I could. That's all I could do,

  507. keep good rhythm. But you see, because I was given

  508. the opportunity, I learned. Okay, in serving and preaching, teaching

  509. and worship. You think this just happens. Hey, none of

  510. us are superstars. Again, you should have heard my first message.

  511. Helen maybe said I didn't understand what he was saying.

  512. They said, yeah, that's true. I also didn't we learn.

  513. We learn we are chieve more together than we can alone.

  514. Would you believe that it's true? Everyone is a partner,

  515. not a member. Hey, we do not outsource church life.

  516. Church life is not outsourced or stand on the sidelines.

  517. We take ownership responsibility together make the church great. Who

  518. is the church? We are the church, We are the people.

  519. You'll remember that song? Huh Okay? So everybody has a

  520. part to play. Everybody has a part to play. This

  521. is the ex church that we want to see. Guys,

  522. I'm sorry if I was very harsh, but better I

  523. say it, you hear it, and you have an opportunity

  524. to change, rather than I try and make everything so

  525. nice and sweet and smiley, and one day the Lord

  526. will look at me because I will enter the door.

  527. Then you will look at me and say, you see

  528. that person didn't enter the door because you didn't tell.

  529. You think we escape, yeah, do you think we escape?

  530. We don't because we have to answer to the Lord

  531. for our missteps. That is why every night I say, Lord,

  532. please forgive me for all my sins, for the sins

  533. I didn't know what sins, but in your eyes were

  534. sins for the things that I should have done but

  535. did not do. For the things I shouldn't have done

  536. but did, Please forgive me, and Jesus name. I try

  537. and cover everything so that when I entered that door,

  538. the Lord will not turn back, because there will come

  539. that time. When that portion comes, it be washed by

  540. the blood the movie when the movie is playing, washed

  541. by the blood, wash by the blood wash by the blood.

  542. Then everybody be thinking what happened doesn't matter, is washed

  543. by the blood. So I hope so any more minutes left,

  544. no ministry team can come up. Guys, I hope you

  545. you caught my heart. Yeah, when you do you like

  546. driving a car? Do you feel comfortable driving a car

  547. that you do not own? You may like it for

  548. a while, but after a while do you think you

  549. you you like it? But how many of you feel

  550. so wonderful when you get your car? You got your

  551. name there and you're driving in it's your car? Why ownership?

  552. Can we feel that way about our own church ownership?

  553. I've preached before in a messager. God is not interested

  554. in people who treat his church like a restaurant or

  555. the word here is good, or that preaches there. I

  556. gotta go that way that Sunday and you hop from

  557. church to church because you want to get fed. You

  558. know what you've made God your cook. God is not

  559. your cook, He's your lord and master. What are you

  560. supposed to do? Serve him? That's what God wants. God

  561. wants people who serve him, not use him for a

  562. free meal. And if that's the message you got today,

  563. you caught my heart, And I pray that this will

  564. carry you forward in Jesus' name. Amen.

  565. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
