  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Today we are going to do discipleship focus.

  4. Now.

  5. When you're in AXS, you will probably have heard of

  6. our tech techline before, which is making disciples. That makes

  7. the difference. The church exists to make disciples. The church

  8. doesn't exist just to make converts. Where on a Sunday

  9. or from a Monday to Saturday, we lead people to Christ,

  10. they say, yes, I want to receive forgiveness of my sin,

  11. I want to follow Jesus, and then full stop we

  12. leave them hanging. The church is always built on discipleship.

  13. It exists to promote discipleship that will in turn help

  14. people to not just grow in their faith, but to

  15. mature in their faith. So today we're going to look

  16. at discipleship focus. Now, we very familiar with Jesus's commandment.

  17. Before he ascended back up seated at the right hand

  18. of the Father, he gave a final commandment to his disciples,

  19. and most of you would be able to remember this

  20. bahad where it is found in Matthew twenty eighth, Verses

  21. nineteen to twenty. It's easier go therefore and make disciples

  22. of all the nations. Let us stop here for a while.

  23. The word go basically means it's an active word. When

  24. you receive Christ as your Lord and savior and you

  25. begin to grow in your faith, you're expected to go

  26. and do what you're expected to go and make disciples

  27. of all nations. The Gospel is for everyone, whether you

  28. are from the west, from the east, north, south, the

  29. Gospel of Christ is for everyone. It also tells us

  30. that disciples ship can be cross cultural, so we shouldn't

  31. just limit to Oh, I'm a Malaysian, therefore I disciple

  32. a Malaysian, or I'm an international, therefore I disciple and international.

  33. Though one of the key ingredients in discipleship is common ground.

  34. Having common ground helps in building relationship. It helps in

  35. building connection. But we must not limit ourselves to say

  36. that we can only disciple certain nationality. Discipleship is for everyone.

  37. Discipleship is cross cultural. So he says, baptizing them in

  38. the name of the Father and of the Son and

  39. of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things

  40. I have commanded you. Often, in the context of discipleship,

  41. the teaching of Jesus must be the focal point. It

  42. must be the anchor, right, because discipleship is not unique

  43. to Christianity. Discipleship happens even in a secular Discipleship happens

  44. in different faith. But in the context of the church.

  45. If we say that we want to disciple someone or

  46. we are a disciple of this church, God's truth must

  47. always be their anchor. Because people can spend time in discipleship,

  48. and if they don't grow in the likeness of Christ,

  49. that defeats the purpose of discipleship. So one of the

  50. goal of discipleship is to make sure that people grow

  51. in the likeness of Christ. It builds in us a

  52. form of Christ's likeness. If discipleship happens where we grow

  53. more like the world, then there's something wrong, right, So

  54. always remember this. The teaching of Christ must always be

  55. the anchor of discipleship. And he says, yeah, I'm with

  56. you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.

  57. So when you look at the life of disciples, even

  58. in a book of acts, you will know that the

  59. church grew because of discipleship. Right from eleven disciples. Of course,

  60. Judis didn't make the cut. Then they needed to vote

  61. in another one. Matthias from from twelve disciples, the church

  62. grew and the day of Pentecost came, three thousands were saved,

  63. the disciples were multiplied. We basically or wherever you come

  64. from is a recipient of disciples who will also do

  65. cross cultural missions. All right, So we know that the

  66. Gospels started in the Middle East, then he went to

  67. the West, and then it spread across across the globe.

  68. So discipleship essentially will also grow the church. And we

  69. are saying that discipleship is not a program, it is

  70. relationship driven. So we say that for ex church, goal

  71. is to make disciples that make the difference. And the

  72. key with here that we want to consistently remind ourselves

  73. is intentional discipleship. Discipleship cannot happen without relationship. So you

  74. must understand that the church is not a building. We

  75. all know this. The church is a collective people. We

  76. are the church, and the church cannot thrive without relationship.

  77. Coming to church without building relationship, coming to church without

  78. getting to know one another. Getting to know a person's

  79. name is just the first level. Getting to know who

  80. they are, what their dreams are. Getting to know them

  81. at the deeper level is another stage where we would

  82. like to build relationship because if we were to disciple

  83. someone without having that relationship, it can be very religious

  84. where people will follow you because you have a title.

  85. But the highest calling of discipleship is that people would

  86. want to follow you because they see Christ in you.

  87. They see that your life is worth following. And I

  88. want to say that all of us has the potential

  89. to disciple someone because God has a calling for you.

  90. God has given all the resources we need to fulfill

  91. the great commission. So what is a great commission? Go

  92. and make disciples. But there must be a starting point,

  93. you see. The starting point is we ourselves must be

  94. disciples because we cannot disciple others. If we ourselves, we

  95. are not a disciple. See, the church can grow on

  96. many things. The church can grow on Bible study. Right.

  97. But Bible study itself is good for understanding the word

  98. of God. Bible study itself is good to apply the

  99. word of God. But often Bible study has a limitation

  100. where you go deeper with individual life. Right, because often

  101. Bible study, when you come for homes is very collective.

  102. The discipleship that we practice in church often is one

  103. on one where but kind of your disciple twelve guys,

  104. Zendra will disciple twelve ladies. These are their key leaders,

  105. and then we would disciple others. And when we talk

  106. about relational discipleship, if you're part of this church, you'll

  107. realize that when you're new, often people will contact you.

  108. I don't ask you'll come for church first, spend time

  109. with you. They'll get to know you. And to us,

  110. relationship building is very, very important. Every life that comes

  111. through the daw of church is a miracle. Whether you're

  112. a Christian, you're not a Christian, yet every life that

  113. comes through the daw of this church, we believe is

  114. a miracle because for this season of your life, you

  115. could have ended up in other places. You could have

  116. been elsewhere. I could have studied elsewhere, It could have

  117. worked elsewhere, you could have stayed elsewhere. But there's a

  118. reason why God brought you here. Means He has a

  119. plan for you. And our role as a church is

  120. to disciple you to be christ Like, to disciple you

  121. to a place where you fulfill the calling that God

  122. has for you. You know, a church often focuses a

  123. lot on program right you have relationship program like T

  124. four two for example, right for Godly marriage programs are important,

  125. you have campus programs. Programs are important, but to really

  126. grow individuals at the level where they reached another potential,

  127. there is a birth of the current level. It is

  128. true discipleship, you say, My first exposure to discipleship as

  129. a very young Christian was I think in less than

  130. eight months. I was a new Christian twenty year old

  131. year old, and I knew that when the spirit of

  132. God came into my life, there is a conflict between

  133. what the world thing is good and what God think

  134. is good. Because for the first twenty years of my life,

  135. I live like the world. I live a life where

  136. I thought everything that I do is about myself and

  137. it's good. Until one day I struggle in that journey

  138. of condemnation. I said, now that I'm Christian, why is

  139. it that every time I watch porn and I engage

  140. in different behavior, my heart is just burned with condemnation.

  141. And I needed a way out because the spirit of

  142. God is just convicting me. And my first mentor was

  143. Ela Kina. After Sunday service, I woke up to Elder Kinja.

  144. I say that I don't know how to tell you this,

  145. however you feel and relate to what I'm talking about.

  146. We're struggling in something we don't know how we want

  147. to open now, and then the spirit of God gave

  148. us a courage finally to walk cup to someone and

  149. say that we need help. He started there. So I

  150. opened up the other King here and he prayed for

  151. me and for at least a good three to four months,

  152. every Friday, I remember, I will go and see him

  153. to be prayed for, to be counseled personally, take the

  154. bus from my campus to the church office. Sometimes if

  155. I needed to wait an hour for elder because he

  156. is meeting, and all our wait, our wait, and that

  157. builds the foundation of my faith. I will let you

  158. know that discipleship is not for perfect people, and true

  159. discipleship happens when there is a space where we create,

  160. where it is safe to be vulnerable, it is safe

  161. to share our weaknesses, it is safe to receive correction.

  162. That's the heart of discipleship. The goal of discipleship is

  163. not to produce perfect Christians. The goal of discipleship is

  164. not produce Christians who are good in the doing everything

  165. good on the outside. The goal of discipleship is to

  166. produce Christians who can be better. The goal of discipleship

  167. is to produce Christians who are well in the being.

  168. That means in our heart, in our spirit, in our mind.

  169. That is the goal of discipleship, and it takes relationship

  170. to do that. Relationship is important because it speaks of trust.

  171. If I don't trust you, why should I open my

  172. life to you? Why just because you're a pastor open

  173. up your life to you? Do you know that more

  174. people actually will high things if they know you're a pastor.

  175. I'm telling you the truth. I'm telling you the truth.

  176. But if you build a relationship with your pastor and

  177. you know that your pastor too, at one point has

  178. his struggle, you know too that at one point your

  179. pastor has weaknesses, chances to open up is there? Why?

  180. Because we have a common ground. So when you come

  181. to acts, you realize that most people when they take

  182. the pulp here, they will also preach from a place

  183. of weakness. Paul says, when I'm weak, then I'm strong.

  184. We rather bose in our weakness because it speaks about

  185. the grace of God rather than we both in our

  186. Because often people may think that just because you're a pastor,

  187. you are holy you do this, you do that, you

  188. feel that there is a distance, but I want to

  189. say that not in this church, because we have come

  190. to understand that we're all flash and black. So it

  191. takes relationship to build trust. And people can always offer

  192. us that time, people can always after us that space,

  193. but we need to give ourselves the opportunity to be connected.

  194. We need to give ourselves that opportunity to build relationship.

  195. And it is working with someone committing to them, investing

  196. time and life into their transformation. I've walked with I mean, elder,

  197. I've worked with me for many years. I've been in

  198. this church for twenty two years. Twenty two years, and

  199. most of our campus students here young adults as well.

  200. We have seen them grow from a campus student to

  201. an adult, to getting married, to finally get married and all.

  202. It is a commitment, guys. It is a commitment and

  203. the greatest investment you and I can make. Honestly, it's

  204. not in finances, though they are spectacle. You invest in

  205. whatever a portfolio that gives you a return. You can

  206. invest in career, you can invest in different things, but

  207. the greatest investment is always the investment of life of others.

  208. Because when you see them grow, that is your greatest

  209. And my goal is for people to do better than me.

  210. And in past Cannev has that as well, that the

  211. highest goal of any mentor is to have their disciple

  212. to be better than them, to do better than them.

  213. In fact, Jesus told his disciples greater works than this

  214. you shall do. Not to say that disciples is higher

  215. than Jesus, but it basically means the work that they're

  216. expected to do will be greater, will be greater. So

  217. it takes time, it takes commitment. The definition of a

  218. disciple is a learner, a follower, someone who learns from

  219. and follows a teacher. I want to say that the

  220. world today is looking for role models. For the past

  221. few weeks, the Spirit of God through different people even

  222. in my corporate prayer group as well, have shared that

  223. they are missing fathers in this generation. More and more

  224. young people are struggling in areas where if fathers are

  225. being more present in the family, they wouldn't be struggling

  226. in areas like self esteem, confidence and all. And I

  227. feel that the Church has a great responsibility to disciple

  228. the fatherless, meaning the fathers are in the family, but

  229. the fathers are not influencing the children in a godly way.

  230. That's when the Church must come in to disciple people

  231. in that godly value. And I know that there are

  232. many young people here. You live in an age where

  233. information is accessible for you. You live in what I call

  234. a generation where you have on demand sermon, on demand

  235. topics that you can always explore. And when I speak

  236. to people, they often say, is that, well, I'm reading

  237. a book and the author is my mentor I'm following

  238. this person listen to his podcast. There's nothing wrong with it.

  239. If it helps you grow, it helps you grow. But

  240. to say that you receive discipleship through a book, to

  241. say that you receive discipleship through a video, it's something

  242. that I would like to offer a new perspective because

  243. we say that discipleship is relational. Jesus spent three years

  244. with the disciples. He ate with them, did life with them.

  245. He preached in public and in the private. He revealed

  246. more to the disciples, and he corrected the disciples. Paul

  247. and Timothy was the same. They did live together. An

  248. anthology I wanted to give you is this right? I

  249. heard this from a coach. Chan Chan used to be

  250. our church plant coordinator in Exprikambangan. But the grace of God,

  251. now he is in Bintulu together with his wife Selin.

  252. Chan gotten a teaching role in UPM UPM in Bintulu

  253. and he will be helping us to start an aya

  254. also in Bindulu, a y business sends for Asian youth ambassadors.

  255. So Chan is a powerlifting coach. How manna if you

  256. hear you're in the powerlift like you see the the

  257. plates on the left and right you left hundred kg

  258. two hundred cag and all powerlifting. Recently I saw online

  259. a sixty year old grandma lifted hundred cag you know powerlifting.

  260. By the way, he's a powerlifting he's a powerlifted coach. Right.

  261. So he was coaching his disciple who is part of

  262. our church as well. Right. And you know, because of

  263. exposure of information, we get exposed to a lot of

  264. good things online and sometimes we hear another person sharing

  265. this technique how to lift up we share. We hear

  266. another person share this technique how to have good diret thing. Right,

  267. And one day a chance disciple came and say that

  268. you know this person shared this disperson shared there? Why

  269. you didn't teach me. That sounds very familiar, right. And

  270. then then the spirit of God revealed to chant very

  271. important thing you know, and chant in a way I'm

  272. just Paraphaci told them very gently, Look, I'm here, I

  273. can observe you. I know your physic I know how

  274. you usually lift up. These people that you're referring to,

  275. were they observing you? Were they observing you? Because the

  276. diet may work for them, The technique may work for them,

  277. But I, as your coach, who have spent time and

  278. hours observing you, observing your life, You've got to trust

  279. me enough to know what will work for you. So

  280. it goes back to trust. Trust. The church must continue

  281. to build a place where people flourish in a relationship

  282. of trust. And the only way to build trust is vulnerability.

  283. That as your leaders open up their life to you

  284. in a private setting, you two are encouraged to open

  285. up your life. The greatest lie that Satan will always

  286. tell us is but what if I open up, they

  287. judge me? But what if I open up they radio

  288. killed me. Remember, any scene that is hidden will cause

  289. God's people not to prosper. But if we were to

  290. bring that scene, we were to bring that struggle into light.

  291. That's when we will prosper. And sometimes in the church

  292. it happens also where because I also talk to different people, right,

  293. it was not like being a church plank coordinator or

  294. being a pastor of particular church we have. We know

  295. people where they are at different stages. With my guys,

  296. I definitely know because we do life together, right, But

  297. there are also people who often they will go to

  298. pastor to pastor, elder to elder to seek for advice

  299. for the same thing. Okay, for the same thing. Let's

  300. say a person struggle to keep a job. Again, struggle

  301. to keep a job. Every three months, you change a

  302. new job. Then you give testimony, Oh I was jobless,

  303. Praise God he gave me a job six months later,

  304. tendering resignation. Can't keep a job. Where as your pastor,

  305. I know, Actually the challenge is you are unable to

  306. submit to your bosses period. You can't submit to bosses

  307. who tell you no. You can't submit to bosses who

  308. can't receive your idea yet, and you feel rejected. But

  309. as your pastor, I told you, really I say that, brother,

  310. I think it is hold on to this job for

  311. at least one year, at least one year because it

  312. is your character. No pastor, you don't understand, then you

  313. go to another elder. You share, share, Share, share share,

  314. Let me pray, pray, pray, pray. But what is the call?

  315. What is the call? Discipleship is a place where we

  316. tell you the truth lovingly. The truth will offen, but

  317. we speak in love. So when I was twenty four

  318. years old, my mentor told me this, you know, because

  319. I struggle in different understanding of responding better with my leaders,

  320. and I remember looking. I tell me, you know, Amerson,

  321. if you continue this way, when you grow to be forty,

  322. you will have a miserable life. You tell that to

  323. a young people today, they'll live church. Say my church

  324. is judging me. Say don't understand. Hey, I'm I just

  325. stand for it too. My life is good now, amen,

  326. because I decided to change. Discipleship is about transformation. It's

  327. about transformation. It's about giving perspective. Romans child to say,

  328. is and do not become form to this world, but

  329. be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you

  330. may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect

  331. will of God. Let me share that the transformation of

  332. the mind comes from God's word. Transformation of a mind

  333. comes from meditating on God's word. But it is also

  334. discipleship that will present to you God's word so that

  335. it challenges you to apply God's word. Discipleship is also

  336. about a counterability. Discipleship is a place for us to

  337. hear what we need to hear and not what we

  338. want to hear. That's a difference. Let make a very difference.

  339. You guys noticed in the past one year or so

  340. one and a half years, work hasn't been the best

  341. for me. And then I shared this couple of times,

  342. probably about one and a half years ago. There were

  343. certain changes at work that I felt I was being discarded.

  344. I felt I lost a voice. I felt that I

  345. was just being sidelined at work. I remember having a

  346. conversation with past Cannev. I said, Pastor, I think working

  347. in the company for seventeen years plus, it's enough. It's enough,

  348. seventeen years in the same company. I remember, Pastor just

  349. shed this one thing. You know, Ronson, I think you

  350. are in a season like Joseph being in the prison.

  351. You know, when you're at the tail end of one

  352. thing to quit, it's easy. Isn't it to say that, oh,

  353. you don't understand the pain, Oh you don't understand this,

  354. What do you mean? Like Joseph in the prison? But

  355. I choose to open my heart to the voice of

  356. my pastor because I choose to believe that whatever my

  357. pastors say is for my best interests. Doubt is a

  358. discipleship killer. Really, the moment you doubt a godly counsel,

  359. you will not prosper. The moment you doubt a godly

  360. counsel done in good faith, there's no safety. Because about

  361. proverbs say it's in the multitude of godly counsel, there

  362. is safety. It's not in the multitude or worldly council.

  363. More and more people they tend to go to the

  364. council of the world than the counsel of God's wit.

  365. Just because your pastor don't drive a big car, you

  366. mean you're a pastor can't disciple you. That's because you

  367. earn more than your pastor. Your pastor can speak into

  368. your life. Just because you have a degree qualification or

  369. a master's qualification or a PhD qualification, your pastor can

  370. speak into your life. We have to come to the

  371. place where we acknowledge that in the apps and in

  372. the downs, our Mentor has always been there for us.

  373. Now I can't speak that for all, but at least

  374. I know for my life, for the life of people

  375. under the care of our leaders here in acts, in

  376. your apps, we were there. In your downs, we were

  377. there because we always have the church in our best interests.

  378. So based on that word, I stayed on for another

  379. few months to a year because I was ready to go.

  380. I was ready to quit, and you guys noticed that

  381. there was an opening for a higher role in my company.

  382. I applied for it, I got it, and I felt

  383. that God has restored dignity to me. At word, I

  384. felt that from a point where I don't have much

  385. influence today, God restored back that influence. I was at

  386. a point where I was responsible to ten staff. Today

  387. I'm responsible to close to one hundred staff. And I

  388. remember when that role was entrusted to me. I remember

  389. what passed to say, you're at the prison moment, like Joseph.

  390. I'm not saying that now I'm in the palace yet,

  391. but it felt like a palous moment next to Pharaoh.

  392. But you said, Pastor, can only speak that into my

  393. life because I open up my heart. Pastor has been

  394. walking with me for close to sixteen years now and

  395. he knew my journey. And I want to let everyone

  396. here know that church doesn't have to be lonely for you.

  397. You know, people can come to church and they leave

  398. church without building relationship. It doesn't have to be lonely

  399. for you. The question is how do you want to

  400. build a community within a church that God has brought

  401. you in. So the goal of discipleship is not merely

  402. to save people, but to mature sons and daughters. Discipleship

  403. is about vision vision. All of us need to have

  404. a vision in our life. All of us need to

  405. have that purpose in our life. Next, like all of us,

  406. has must live a life that is vision oriented. You know,

  407. my mentors often see potential in me before I can

  408. see it in myself. I think any good men tours

  409. will do that for you, where they are able to

  410. see that potential in you before you see it for yourself.

  411. And there are so many examples I can give you,

  412. like planting this church was never part of my plan. However,

  413. you can have your own plan. You can have your

  414. own plan, but ultimately God will use people to speak

  415. his plan into your life. So it's given the opportunity,

  416. the privilege to plan this church. It's about vision, guys.

  417. I feel that to live a fulfilled life, every one

  418. of us must have a vision that is from God,

  419. a vision that will drive you. And whatever that vision

  420. is to me, it doesn't always have to be in church,

  421. because not many of you are called to be full time.

  422. God will place you in areas where He will place

  423. you in because he knows the plan that He has

  424. for you. Discipleship to me is about being an example,

  425. is about being an example. All of us can be

  426. that example. Paul in First Corinthians eleven one says, imitate me,

  427. just as I also imitate Christ. You know, it's easy

  428. for all of us to say that we are a

  429. disciple of Jesus. It's easy. It's easy to say that

  430. I follow Jesus. But how many of you here have

  431. seen Jesus. We can see Jesus through his word. Again,

  432. here's a written word. We can see Jesus through his teaching.

  433. But for us to be fitful in the teaching of Christ,

  434. for us to be fitful in following Christ, we need

  435. to have someone to walk alongside us, someone who will

  436. prompt us and say, how's your quiet time with God?

  437. Someone who will walk alongside and say, what is God

  438. saying to you in this situation that you're praying about.

  439. Have you been growing in God? It helps, but it

  440. takes example. And I want to say that the church

  441. is also built on examples. Whenever we feel challenged, we

  442. always tell people that when you overcome the challenge, you

  443. will be an example of others. Gives example to others.

  444. Here that a point where things don't go your way,

  445. at a point where you turn around and you realize

  446. that you have sown a lot and there's no growth.

  447. At a point when you look around you give up

  448. a lot of things and you feel that you're not

  449. hating anywhere in life. That's the point where you don't

  450. give up because your story will be an example of others.

  451. So discipleship is also about empowering others to flourish in God.

  452. When Jesus and his disciple, he sent them out two

  453. by two to teach, preach and to heal. I want

  454. to say that we are not a cult. Here. We're

  455. definitely not a cult. Okay, you don't see us were

  456. the same attire, Not to say wearing the same attire

  457. is wrong. But you don't see us behaving very cultish.

  458. But I want to say that it's easy to identify

  459. who's who's disciple by looking at how they carry themselves.

  460. You can see what how they make decisions, how they speak,

  461. how they carry themselves because they have been empowered also

  462. to take on role. They have been empowered to take

  463. responsibility to grow in the things of God. And I

  464. feel way strongly in mone even say that growth can

  465. only come when we take responsibility. In the house of God,

  466. for example, a starting point will be serving. Once you serve,

  467. you begin to grow when maybe discipline was an issue

  468. for you. Then by serving now you've got to wake

  469. up earlier. Then you get disciples there where you know,

  470. maybe dressing what's an issue. Then when it comes to

  471. discipling now because you're serving, you have to wear better. Right,

  472. So the studying point is always taking responsibility. Don't shy

  473. away from responsibility because God often uses responsibility to grow people. Now,

  474. transformation can only come from being open and able to

  475. accept the challenge to grow. How many fear you have

  476. what we clay before you? You you do vessel last clay? Okay,

  477. So some items are made of clay. Some vessels are

  478. made of clay. Now am by saying this right, the

  479. mean discipleship is like a clay pot making process. Okay,

  480. the more clay you give to the potter, the more

  481. the potter can shape. And it takes that space to

  482. have what I call vulnerability one vulnerability and trust so

  483. that truth can remain the ankle. I want to say

  484. that God often allows mentors to speak into our life,

  485. and often mentors, in their fear of God, will have

  486. to tell things that may not necessarily be pleasing for

  487. us to hear. Thank God for Prophet Nathan who confronted

  488. King David David. We all knew what happened, but yet

  489. God raised up Nathan to speak to David, to allow

  490. David to have a space to repent, and up to

  491. today God remembered David. I want to say that all

  492. of us need to have that Neiden in our life.

  493. All of us need to have that poll in our life,

  494. who is courageous enough to present us a truth that

  495. not only hurts, but the truth that heals, the truth

  496. that will cause us to grow in our faith. So

  497. the last point is discipleship must always be the focus

  498. of the church, the last light. Discipleship must always be

  499. the focus. The church can invest in many things. The

  500. church can invest in a good kid's program, the church

  501. can invest in sound and likes. The church can invest

  502. in just different things. But if a church doesn't invest

  503. in quality discipleship, we may lose the transformation that God

  504. wants us to experience. Okay, so actually comes up going

  505. to end with this core value discipleship focus. My desire

  506. and the leadership desire is everyone should be a disciple.

  507. Everyone can go up to someone to share life, to

  508. do life together. I want an next me life to

  509. be a place where we embrace each other, to be

  510. a place where we can be honest with one another

  511. in our meal setting ah and be authentic in building life,

  512. be authentic in celebrating one another. Discipleship to me is

  513. not a place where we receive correction. No, please don't

  514. look at discipleship negatively like, oh, if it is about correction,

  515. it's about discipleship. Discipleship is also a place about celebration.

  516. Celebrate each other's molestone. You know, from graduation to marriage

  517. to eventually purchasing your own first house, and you want

  518. to dedicate it to the Lord to purchasing your first

  519. vehicle sofa, no one dedicated vehicle yet, But I don't know. Ah,

  520. we are there in the good times, in the challenging time.

  521. But you see, the door must be open. We'll be

  522. there to try your friar rice, your jolo fries if you,

  523. if you know, please go to walk In Cafe. Go

  524. to Anthony's Cafe. There, very good food. We will be there.

  525. We'll be there. We'll be there, you know, when you

  526. expand your business will be there. Maybe the church at

  527. Luche has been hurt before because honestly, disappointment can happen

  528. in church. Leaders can fail, leaders can come and go,

  529. and as a result, it may affect the church has

  530. at large. To say that, you know, I'm here for Jesus,

  531. but I'm not sure whether I'm here for you. I

  532. want that mindset to begin to shift, because until and

  533. unless we truly unpacked to say that I'm going to

  534. grow my roots here, and to grow my roots it

  535. requires an openness. We won't be able to bare foot. Yeah,

  536. so on this place among the church. To understand that

  537. sometimes when we asked you out, hey do you have

  538. time for a meal? Hey can I come and visit

  539. any of my leaders. Please know that we are doing

  540. with any intention not to want to make our lives difficult.

  541. It must to be there for you because I know

  542. that when we're in need, you'll be here for us

  543. as well. If many of you have been. That's church

  544. where we do lives together. The church doesn't have to

  545. be the most perfect place, guys. It doesn't have to be.

  546. It can be messy, but it's okay because God will

  547. give us the grace to organize the mess I can

  548. tell you that I'm not the most perfect guy. Right

  549. if I say that I'm perfect. Please don't come to

  550. this church, right, Please don't come because you know I'll

  551. be lying to you. You don't need a speakab who

  552. lies to you, who tells the truth to you so

  553. that you can consider, pray about it, and allow truth

  554. to be angered in your life. Amen.

  555. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  556. information on our church, please visit aschurch dot org. We

  557. are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that

  558. this week is going to be a good week.

  559. I hit for you.

  560. God bless
