We hope this message will light up your day. Today

we will talk about being faith evident. So it's the

seventh call value and before that, let us pray. Let

us pray and commit this time to God. Thank you, Lord,

Thank you Jesus, Father God. We thank you for this morning. Lord.

We are so grateful that we have the privilege together

in your presence this morning as a church. Lord, we

are so grateful to have the presence of the King

of Kings with us. A Lord, your words says, as

we enter your gates with thanksgiving and to your courts

with praise. Lord, we are in your courts this morning.

We are in the midst of the Almighty God, and

we stand in awe of you. We give you praise

and glory. Lord, You'll be enthrown in this place. Lord,

and a lot of pray as we go into your

word this morning, Holy Spirit, help us be our helper

that you may reveal the revelations and the reality of

your word in our lives. Help us to see and

hear what you are saying. In the name of Jesus,

we pray. Amen. Amen. Okay, So last week, what did

we do prayer Howard Howard by prayer right, and today

we are doing coved in number seven, which is faith evident,

Faith evident. I'll start off with a thought or a

question which was actually raised by Pasta Matt And and

we have the kids in the room today. Yep. So

I want to say hello children, Hello, Hi kids. You

guys are doing so well on notes. Hello, you just started? Okay?

Can I can I hear all the kids say? Why

do three kids go? No? All? Okay? All the kids?

When I count one to three, you go, okay, ready

one to tree. I heard some adults doing this. It's okay,

very young at heart. Let's see the adults can do

it louder. Okay, all the adults go, ready, one to tree.

Oh I think the adults are louder. There's more adults, right, yeah, Mandy,

you make sense. So it's it's family Sunday. Family Sunday

is when the kids join us together in our service

and actually especially during the sermon and throughout worship. And

it's something that we actually started and explain right yeah, yeah,

and we're very proud of it. And it's so awesome

to see our kids actually taking notes and listening to

the sermon and receiving God's word. So give them my

hand this morning. Come on, if you are If you

are here, every child will also experience God's reality in

their lives. So so my question on I thought this morning,

is this, Is it possible for a church to be

doctrinally correct? Sincere friendly? Sincere means very genuine, very friendly,

Is it possible for a church to be doctrinally correct

means they know God's word very well, but have their

faith inactive, invisible or hidden? Is it possible for that?

Or if you are if I would ask the question

more directly, could this church, this church here or could

you be very familiar with the Bible? You know the

Bible very well? In excuse we learn the books of

the Bible Song, Genesis, exert As, Lividika's numbers, Deuteronomy, Na Na, Nana,

Joshua judges Ruth. And that's that's where I forget everything else.

Already I stopped over that. So could you or could

this church know the Bible very well? Be very genuine

and since here, very warm and friendly. You walked in

this morning, it's your kids smiling, shaking her hand, saying hi,

and still have a faith that is invisible, hidden, are

not actually doing anything? Is it possible? Yes, it's possible. Right,

So let me read from the the words in the

in your booklet as a start, it says, this faith

is not just something we believe. Faith is not just

something we believe. It is something that is evident, faith evident.

Every person in Hebrews eleven. Hebrews eleven will be one

of our call chapters that will be going through today.

Every person in Hebrews eleven had one thing in common.

They believed God obeyed, and it shows their faith was visible, costly,

and alive. The early church in X two was no different.

They believed and it changed how they live. Their faith

changed how they live. This value, the value faith evident,

is a call beyond knowing the right things to actually

living them out, not just owing but leaving them out.

The question is not do you have faith, but it's

your faith evident. Ask your neighbors your faith evident? Come on,

ask your neighbor. It's your faith evident. So why why

faith and evidence? Why faith and evidence? Right? I want

to start off with the illustration this morning. Okay, so

I bought, I brought a pair of shoes check this out.

It's colorful, right, it's not Nike's Puma. Hey, guys, look

at this. Don't I washed it? The radiot it's clean.

I watched. I want you to all the mom's like

he's holding a dirty pair of shoes. I wash it.

It's clean. I can leak it now, No, but I won't. Yeah,

let me, guys, guys, come back, come back. Okay, okay,

I can reap it. Oh Man still smiles a bit.

I really did breathe that air. Come on, let me

tell you about this pair of shoes. It's not a

normal pair of shoes. Some people call this a super shoe,

super shoe. Right, you know how you have normal human

beings and superhuman beings. This is a super shoe. Why

that's a good question. This shoe is called the Uma

you feel better? Wow? Okay? Anyways, what I'm trying, what

I'm trying to say is is the shoes on his

own It is useless, right because the shoes is a

pair of shoes. But the shoes together with an awesome runner.

You know you just started running recently? Yeah, yeah, is

that running kilometer right? Yeah? Wow? Come on, come on, guys,

gonna give you my hand. Together together the shoes and

the runner, the faith and the action makes it work.

Right without the shoes, with the shoes, without the runner,

no point faith without action, no point. Shoes and runner completeness.

Come on, giving my hand. How do you follow? Yeah,

he's already moving faster. Thud. I can't tell. He's like

more smooth and like, yeah, thank you, Come on giving

my hand. Okay, no, you won't thank you. Amen. The

Book of James chapter two says faith by itself, if

it does not have works, it's dead. Faith by itself

if it does not have works, is dead. It's very

similar to a seed and soil. Right, if you are

a gardener in the house, a seed on its own,

the seed of faith on his own. If it's not

planted into soil, it's useless, it doesn't fulfill its purpose.

But faith and action is like a seed being planted

in soil. The action actually grows it into something. So

today we'll go through what faith evidence is. There are

three parts, and the first part is sort of you

can look at it as a question of what is faith?

What is faith? And in your booklets it says faith

is active obedience. So that's the first part. The second

part is the answer of what is being evident you

know faith right? And the third part we look at

how all our faith needs to be current and not

a past victory. Three parts. I've got quite a lot

of slies. I want to go through them quite quickly,

so if you can just follow me, follow along with

me this morning. The first part is faith is active obedience,

and we know in the Book of Hebrews, chapter eleven,

it gives us a very clear definition of what is faith.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence

of things not seen, we can go to the full

three versus next light Hebrews eleven one to three. Now

faith is the substance of things, so for the evidence

of things not seen, For by it the elders obtain

a good testimony verse three. By faith, we understand that

the worlds were framed by the word of God, so

that the things which are seen were not made of

things which are visible. Faith was there from the beginning

when God created the world. In Yes New King's's version,

when God created the world, there was nothing. There's no physicalness. Right,

But God spoke his word, and by faith the visible

things were made from the invisible spoken word of God. Right.

What what is substance or assurance? Assurance or substance is

Faith gives this substance to do something not yet realized.

If you have a dream, if you have a vision,

if God has spoken something in your life and it

hasn't come to reality, you haven't hasn't come to materialized yet,

then faith gives you that as substance is forward facing.

It's about trusting what God has promised. The evident part.

The evident part is this, It means clearly seen or understood,

obvious playing to see something that's visible or parent without

needing to be proven or explained. Further, So, a very

common phase is this, like some people have this very

very joyful face, and we will hear this statement. Her

joy was evident on her face, right, Can you think

of someone like that, or maybe it's the opposite, like

like I know, I know, and Laura's upset because the

opposite of joy is very evident on her face. Yeah, Like,

I think that's happening now, meaning you you didn't need

to didn't need for her to tell how she feels,

but you can just see it. That's evident. Okay. So

that's the very sort of overarching definition of faith from

Hebrewshupter eleven VERSU one. The next point is this, how

how do I get more faith? If you are here

in the room today and God, I want more faith,

how do I go about getting it? So that's a statement.

We often say faith requires risks, or sometimes we will say,

you spell faith as risk risk, But how do we

get more faith? It requires hearing the word. We'll go

to Romans tand seventeen in a while, and it requires

ongoing sensitivity to the Holy Spirit who is still speaking

and still leading today. So how do we get more

faith by hearing God's word? Romans ten seventeen the next light.

So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the

word of God. So if you're in a place today

where you feel like God, I need more faith. I

want to I want to have more faith in my life.

I want to depend on God more. I want to

be obedient to God. We can always start out by

hearing and sharing the word of God. Super simple Romans

tands seventeen. So clear. So then faith comes by hearing

and hearing by the word of God. Okay, let's move further.

Number three again, we're looking at how and what is faith.

Faith is active obedience. So point number tree is this,

Faith is obedience. Faith is the desire to please God

and trust God above everything else. So we want more faith,

we go into God's word. But then beyond that faith

is obedience. Is then acting out or living out or

being obedient to God's word. Right, So we see in

Hebrews eleven seventeen to eighteen. How in Hebrews eleven there's

so many stories and testimonies of what and how the

elders and the people of God acted out on God's

faith and lived out their faith. And it's impossible to

go through all of them this morning, but it will

take a few stories. From Hebrews chapter eleven, and he

was eleven seventeen to eighteen speaks about Abraham. Here was

eleven seventeen to eighteen. It was by faith that Abraham

offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham,

who had received God's promise, says, was ready to sacrifice

his only son, Isaac, even though God had told him,

Isaac is the son to whom your descendants will be counted.

So we look at Abraham. Abraham received God's word. He

received God's word. First of all, that Isaac was a promise, right,

Isaac was a promise which whom all his descendants will

be counted. After that, God gave him another word, a

rama word, saying that you now need to sacrifice your

son on this mountain. And what did Abraham do? He

acted out in faith. He believed God's word. He listened

and heard God's word, and he put into action even

though it was so difficult and challenging to do so.

So faith is active obedience. That's all we're trying to tackle.

This morning. And I want to ask, first of all,

do we know God's RAMDMA and Logo's word for earth

this morning? Are we able to have God's word in

our hearts? First of all, do we know are we

hearing God? Are we coming to the Holy Spirit? Are

we reading His word? And the second part is, once

we know God's word, are we listening and hearing or

suppressing the Holy Spirit's voice? You know, a couple of

months ago I had I think I shared this illustration

or this testimony before of how of how and what

obedience is this? This part of this, part of my

sort of sharing is is regarding giving, giving, and and

you know, in God's word, God's word does speak about giving.

God's word to speak about how important it is to

to put God first, even without money. And I you know,

every every year as a business owner, we we declared

to be don't then we have bonuses? And that's the

time where I often find myself most challenged when it

comes to giving, because you get a large amount of

money to me uh And and and then God's word

says like uh, God's word says to tithe, and to

tithe means one tenth and one tenth means ten percent,

And and whenever I approach those junctions of decisions, I

often have a set figure in mind that I want

to give God. Most of the time that figure is

a flashly or more human decision, like God, I'm comfortable

with this amount, and I've decided I will give you

this amount. But over a peer about two weeks just

earlier this year, I felt the Holy Spirit just prompting

me about that giving. He's like, is it in obedience

to God's words? Are you deciding based on faith or

by sight? Are you doing what's comfortable or what God

convicts you to do? But throughout the weeks or the

two weeks, I just kept suppressing the Holy Spirit, like

I think he'll understand. I'm still giving. I'm still giving

an amount to the church. But there was a tension

in my soul. There's a tension in my spirit where

it's actually not right. I'm not fully living out in obedience. Right.

So y'all know the end of the story. I I

I listened to the Holy Spirit, and I decided to

obey God's word and put into action. So what I'm

trying to say is obedience to God is actually one

hundred percent. You know, we cannot obey seventy percent of

the way or halfway and think that we did a

good job in living out our faith. Obedience means hearing

God's word in totality and obeying one hundred percent. Right.

So now with the kids, we like this morning when

we're doing our morning routine means they eat breakfast and

then after they done need breakfast, they need to put

away their breakfast plates into the sink, right so they

can do part way Like okay, Levi, this morning was Levi? Elevi,

I came down. Okay, he did part of his part

of his routine, which is to eat his breakfast and

then by a sort of plate there still on on

the on the table. He looking at his friends. Now

in my embarrassing you Levi, he happens to all the

kids is okay? Means he hasn't closed the loop. He

hasn't fully one hundred percent done what he was instructed. Right,

So to me as a parent, like, okay, great, he

did halfway, but no it's not done. But LEVI close

the loop. Finish what they're supposed to do. Then you're like, oh,

you know how they are. Obedience is one hundred percent

listening to God. So the doing exactly what he has

said not the easiest thing to do, but God wants

us to do that, just like what Abraham did. Okay,

next faith, So faith is obedience. But the good part

is next light you need to go up too, slides Yeah, yeah, faith.

The next point is there is faith pleases God, and

faith rewards. Faith pleases God and faith rewards. So we

can go to Hebus eleven six is okay, go to

Hebrews eleven six. He Bus eleven six says this, but

without faith, it is impossible to please God. For he

who comes to God must believe that he is and

that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

So this is the great part about faith. We know

that if we have faith, it will please God. You

will make God smile. God will be happy and please

with us. And he was eleven six of those says

that He's a rewarder of those who diligiently seek him. Right,

So faith will always be rewarded. Next, like faith will

always be rewarded. That's great. Like, guys, faith will always

be rewarded. And I love just sitting on this for

a while, because the Book of Hebrews also says that

there are a lot of people, a bunch of elders

who received God's word, received it in faith, acted in faith,

but did not receive their promise until they died. Right.

But the Word of God also says that faith rewards

and to me, even if we don't receive the promise,

we will be rewarded. And our most immediate reward when

acting out in faith is God. God is our reward.

Having God's presence is our reward. God himself is our

reward when we act out in faith, when we do

what we believe, when we trust God in our situations,

he himself is our reward. Choosing God over other worldly

things is so beautiful and rewarding. And I want to

speak that over your life today. Even if we haven't

seen the promise of God fulfilled, the fact that we

acted out in faith, God is our reward to you

already and that's a blessing. So that's part number one.

I hope it gives you a better picture of what

faith is. How do we get more faith? We need

to listen and hear God's word, and faith is obedience.

Wanting to please God more than anything else, and faith

is pleasing to God, and she rewards faith. The next

part is this faith is alive and not just claim.

So we talk about faith. Now we're gonna talk about

the evident tuck. Remember the core value is faith evident.

Faith evident. So faith is alive and not just claimed.

James two seventeen says this, James two seventeen to eighteen

to us. Also, faith by itself, if it does not

have works, it's dead. But someone will say, you have

faith and I have works. Show me your faith without

your works, and I will show you my faith by

my works. So remember Eugene and the SuperShoes. Re's Eugene. Yep,

he's still there. If either one of the equations is missing,

then it doesn't work right, it's not complete. Yeah, actually

normal shoes okay, But a person and the shoes come together.

Is faith and action going together. A seed and a salt,

that is, a seed that's planted in soil when it

comes together is what faith and action is. Imen. The

second point with this is then Paul wants of those

with a form of godliness but no power. So just

bringing this point for the earlier we asked the question,

could we be a church that is so well versed

with the Bible, so friendly, so joyful, but yet not

have faith being very evident, have an invisible faith. And

this is what Second timaty three five says, having a

form of godliness but denying its power. And from such

people turn away paulways, wanting those with a form of

godliness but no power. Doing everything right while experiencing no

power is not the life God intends. We must not

just here, we must do, and doing always requires faith. Amen.

And the third part is practical ways to live out

our faith. So I'm here to help us give a

few little pointers of how then we can put our

faith into action. Faith is alive, not just claimed. My

first My first pointer is this practical ways to live

out faith. Is this word daily bread, daily bread. We

knew in we know in Deuteronomy a tree. And also

Jesus used this scripture when he quoted to Satan, that

he might make you know that that man shall not

live by braid alone, but man lives by every word

that proceeds from the mouth of of God. This week

we had a chance to have dinner with Max and Debbie,

and it was it was so great, man, Like those

guys are Max and Debbie are both really awesome cooks.

I think you guy should just start a restaurant in Malaysia.

You can make lots of money. But one of the

things they make is is like awesome beansting. Anyways, I'm

gonna talk about food, okay, Uh yeah, but Debbie that

we made a statement that night which honestly has been

ringing in my mind and my spirit over the last

few days. So I asked, I asked them, Uh, They've

they've been moving to different countries a lot, and they're

used to moving their family, and I ask them, like,

what are some of the practical ways I can help

my family adapt to a new culture? And she said,

she said this. She said, they have this family routine

of doing their devotion sometimes two times a day. And

the statement that keeps ringing in my spirits this statement

in the morning when they wake up, and she she

forces Anita and Izak to read the Bible together as

a family. The statement is this, She said, It's actually

better to do devotion and going to God's word than

having breakfast. I don't remember you remember, but I'm like, hmm,

that's really interesting. It's better to do our devotion as

a family than have breakfast. Meaning if like I woke

up late today, right, I only have like ten minutes

to do something. Should I eat a piece of bread

or should I read God's word? It is better to

go into God's word than eat breakfast. Which Mom says that,

and it's sort of like, sort of, it's still it's

still in my spirit, and and it's very impactful because

the word of God says, man shall not live by

bread alone, but every word that proceeds from the amount

of God. Man. I love that. So how can we

practically live out our faith? That daily bread is so

important so that few feel aspects to the daily break

One is of call going to God's with so we

know God's with right. But the next thing is this,

what can we do on a daily basis to live

out our faith? What can we do on a daily

basis that speaks or puts action to our faith. It's

not always in the big things or the big decisions,

but in the daily little steps of faith that can

do today that denies my comfort or denies what my

flesh wants, and instead living out God's word right in

a way, denying breakfast and going to God's with so powerful.

I love that. So how can we practically live out

our faith? Can I encourage you today on a daily basis?

What are the little small steps that we can do

to apply God's word in our lives. It may not

be big. It can be like honor your parents, right, children,

honor your parents. So maybe today I will actually listen

to my mom and dad. That's acting out in faith. Already,

got it? Okay, Yeah. The next thing is this, how

can we live out our faith saying yes to God

instead of saying no, saying yes to God instead of

saying no. Can I encourage you to say yes in faith? Oh? Yeah,

that's me. But it wasn't supposed to see that. But

it's okay, just leave it there, saying yes to God

instead of saying no. It could be also in serving right,

Jess and Jason, I'm gonna start asking more people to

come around. No, it's actually you know that with serving right,

then they might not be a time where is the

perfect condition to serve God's house. This picture over here,

which actually had shown preemptively, happened probably nine or ten

years ago, nine years nine years, nine years ago, and

I remember this picture because it was the same week

that Levi was born. Yeah, so Levi is like a

big kid now, right. So when Levi was born nine

years ago, in February around there, I was asked. I

was asked by church if I would take up the

role of the worship pastor, the worship pastor role, because

jo Vja flew to Melbourne to start a church there

and sometimes God works like that, right, But the Joe

was called to do something else in another country, plan

and take up the church in x Melbourne, and then

here there was a gap of leadership. And then then

it's so funny. I just asked Joe, so, who's gonna

take up the the worship pastor's role when you when

you leave. This is a few months before this happened.

I was like you, I'm like, it was a casual question.

I should have asked him that. Then I'm like, lower

and behold, the call came to me to take up

the challenge to step out in faith to be the

worship pastor. And it was honestly not the best timing

law because Laura was by then like six or seven

months pregnant with our first kid. You know, I was

working and I'm like why, And I honestly I felt

very weak. I felt very unskilled to lead. The first

few messages I gave in our Extreme VA, right, I

think they were really they were in the best messages,

meaning like like this sharing God's word. In fact, there

was some feedback that came into certain groups about how

I spoke, and so funny when they give feedback of

a bustard in an open group, right, and then someone

fowarded me the message, and they fowarded and forwarded me

the message right before going up to speak again, you know,

on one I remember took on one like Wednesday or

Extreme VA. I'm like, I'm be go ahead to speaking

an hour when I get like negative feedback, what do

you do with that? Man? All I'm saying is conditions

were earn the best. I wasn't. I felt I wasn't

prepared to take up the role to call theself LEVI

was just born. And if you if you see my

face there, huh it was. They call me the most reluctant,

reluctant worship pastor in history. Yeah, the lady beside me

is Paster Michelle Pastor Michelle of course. Now it's in

ex Osaka and they are leading the church in ex Osaca.

So she was commissioned to be the campus pastor and

I was commissioned to be the worship pastor on the

same day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So how do we live

out our faith practically? Just say yes to God. Just

say yes to God, even if you may not have

it all figured out. Just say yes to God. There

were two verses which I held onto in that situation.

So you look at that picture in my mind. There

was two verses. The first verse was this from Zachariah.

God said, not by might or power, but by my spirit,

says the Lord. Not by might nor by power, but

by my spirit, says the Lord. Because in faith situations

there's so much uncertainty and impossibilities that we need to

rely on God. The second verse is what God told Joshua,

be strong and courageous. He said to Joshua four times

when he was about to take up the leadership from Moses,

be strong, encourageous, So say yes to God instead of

saying no. That's how we livebout our faith. Amen. The

last practical point about living our faith next night is

faith is very useful in denying our sinful desires. He

Use eleven twenty four is another little testimony in the

chapter of Faith. He Wills eleven twenty four says this

by faith. Moses, when he became of age, refused to

be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to

suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy

the passing pleasures of sin. Imagine Moses. He says he

did this by faith. He had a choice and a decision.

Imagine going to a road you have two different paths

to choose. One is the path of choosing God, which

is choosing Jesus, and the other part is the path

of sin the pleasures of the world, esteeming the reproach

of Christ's greatest riches than the treasures in Egypt Or

he looked to the reward again as a reward for faith.

So what I'm saying is, if there are situations in

your life this week where you come across across road

in front of you deciding either God's word, God's way

or sin, Faith is the answer so many little things

with this few verses. Of course, the first part is faith.

And we know that the Word of God says we

take up the shield of faith. We take up the

shield of faith. So I imagine, I imagine like when

you are going to battle with sin, right imagine, I

mean now, and I'm holding this shield of faith. I

can use the shield of faith to deter the lives

of the enemy into my life. Right. For example, let's

say we're in a crossroad of like doing a last

full thing, sexual immorality doing the last full thing. We

can use the shield of faith to speak God's word first,

to block out, to think about, Okay, this is not

a bad decision. Now I can see further than the now.

Put substance in my hope, make my faith evident that

doing something that displeases God will be bad for me

in the future. Right, So faith is very important. It

also says here that that word passing pleasure of sin.

See sin in the moment, right at the moment when

you are being tempted, looks very pleasurabul sin in that

moment is probably the best thing that you can do

at that time. Right. I like how Jhon Piper says it.

Sin is like poison wrapped around in sugar. Kids. Imagine

a sweet that is so delicious wrapped in shiny plastic,

like you know, the best thing you've ever seen. But

inside of that little sweet is poison. Would you eat it? No,

you wouldn't because you would taste good for a while.

But after a few minutes, when the sugar is gone,

you eat poison in you're dead. Right. Oh that's very

difficult to do when you're sinning, because you're already eating sugar.

What I'm trying to say is this faith helps us

to see beyond what is almost immediate, the immediate pleasures

of sin, and we can use then the sword of

the spirit to like carve out, carve out the sugar

coat thing and see what scene really is in our lives. Yeah,

I'll explain to you later. Yeah, let's keep going. I'll

just ignore her that. So faith helps us to say,

hold on a minute, instead of acting out on my scene.

I'm using the faith to see beyond the passing pleasure

of seine and defend myself. So those are truly little

practical ways of how we can act out of faith.

Having daily bread, small little things we can do on

a daily basis to act out in faith, saying yes

to God and use faith to deny sin. And the

last part is don't live on past glories. The last

part is don't live on past glories. The statement is

we cannot live on yesterday's victories. Every generation must have

their own encounter, their own obedience, their own testimony. So

our family is moving to Laos in two weeks, and

it's really a faith journey for us. So Laura Chad

her part of the story during her testimony, and that's

my part as well, because I'm basically the in this

in this situation, right, I'm I'm the I'm the what

do you call it, the I'm the house husband. There

is following the the wife who is the top corporate

climbing the corporate ladder, doing great things for the company,

the organization, leading change in a country that is under developed,

to build a difference and then share. Am I like

that husband taking along on the journey. I mean, there's

many aspects to this whole, this whole journey and process.

I am joking a little bit, but also not really.

But it has been a faith journey for our family

and also myself. The faith part. One of the faith

part is this the uncertainty of what is to come. Right,

So if you walk along with me, like, guys, we're

going to a country who speaks another language. Who Uh,

I don't know. I was talking to someone else. I

was talking to uh Adril and Reza who's on our

on our team in x Cybergia. They've been in Malaysia

for more than ten years, and I was just getting

their thoughts about how why they came to Malaysia and

and why did they stay for so long? And they say, man,

we love Malaysia. Became Malaysia like it was an upgrade

from where they were previously. Then I'm thinking to myself, like,

I don't have that reason to go to the next country, honestly,

I think. So. What I'm saying is that so much

uncertainty about the days to come, and that pushes me

to see with the eyes of faith of how, how

or where God is leading me. There was another statement

made to us along this journey, is like, hey, you

need to be very very sure and certainty. Need you

decide to go right? Sound very dear told Laura this,

and and uh and We're like, actually, we're not very certain.

And we're not very sure because it's impossible to be

very certain, So the only way is just to keep

moving right. There's a balance and tension between certainty and going.

And for me today, this is my current journey to

not live on yesterday's victories, but my current journey of

how I can walk in faith. You know when when

in the Book of that's a story about how God

told Annius to go and talk to Saul, Saul before

he was renamed as Paul. And God told Nnius to

go and meet this person Saul, knowing full well that

Saul was there to persecute the church. And we can

see persecute means h harm and do bad things to

the church. We know that nn Is wasn't certain as

well because and I has told God like, oh, I

know this person, he's there to persecute, He's he has

evil intentions. Why should I go? Right, there's a bit

of risk, there's a bit of uncertainty. But when we

are put in a situation and I can go to

my last light, when we are put into a situation

of uncertainty, when we are put into a situation of

of a risk, I want to end with this statement,

Sometimes your greatest need becomes a gift when it drives

you to depend on God. So look at a situation

right now. If you're like me, you're the house husband

who's just tagging along, just kidding. Look at it in

the in the eyes and the lens of Is it

driving you to depend on God more? Is it driving

you to love God more? Is it driving you to

trust in Him more than it's actually a gift. I'll

end with the with just how the journey of being

a worship pastor is. You know, when I said yes

nine years ago, it was very uncertain, But when I

look back today, it honestly has been one of the

best things that happened in my life saying yes to

serving God. Sure, it was challenging and difficult, it was

painful sometimes, but this journey has made me grown as

a person so much. This journey has if I look retrospectively,

I feel like I feel God used it to grow

my faith, grow my gifting, grow my relationship with Him,

grow my relationship with other people. And without it, without

a journey, all these would not have been there. We
