-
Last week was the key of Thanksgiving. According to some one hundred verse one
-
to four or sum one hundred verse four, enter his gates with thanksgiving and
-
into his courts with praise. We learned that the only key that can lead
-
you into the presence of God is with thanksgiving. Amen. And let me
-
tell you something. What I'm teaching you is very important because it's the key
-
that will help you open many doors in life. Amen. And I've been
-
getting a lot of attacks since I started teaching you these things. Amen.
-
So we usually record our podcast and we upload it. But guess what me
-
teaching you on the key of Thanksgiving? The pen drive was in the machine
-
A recorded, but when they finished and they pulled the pen drivers, there
-
was no message on the pen drive. Do you understand? And there are
-
a lot of attacks I'm getting, But I'm winning all my battles by the
-
grace of God. Amen. As I stand here right now, I'm very
-
tired. If I had my way, I'll be sleeping by now in my
-
air condition room. Do you understand? Yes, But necessity requires me to
-
be here, amen, So I need you to pay attention. We learned
-
also that thanksgiving opens the door of healing. Thanksgiving opens the door of healing.
-
So if you want to be someone who is not who doesn't get sick,
-
you need to be thankful to God. Amen. You need to always
-
bless God and his name. You need to be grateful to God. You
-
always need to find a reason to say thanks to God. How many of
-
you said thanks to God this morning when you woke up? Amen? Somebody
-
didn't say thanks to God. Why because they don't recognize what God has done
-
for them? Amen. And so today I want to take you on another
-
journey of why people are not thankful, why people don't thank God, so
-
that you avoid those situations, so that always you are someone who is thankful
-
to God. You are someone who is always praising God. You are someone
-
who is exalting God. Amen or Amen. And so please, if you
-
have something to write with, let's go on this journey. Amen. So
-
today I'm speaking to you about those who forget, those who forget. If
-
you ask someone why you are not thankful to God this money, they say,
-
oh I forgot. People who are unthankful are usually people who forget.
-
So even when they get food and they're about to eat, they forget to
-
say thanks on it. When they remember after it's left to the last blow.
-
Then you say, oh, sorry, sorry, Father, thank you
-
for this food Jesus. May they finish it in the food. Amen.
-
So please tell your neighbor don't be one of those people who forget God.
-
Amen. And so one of the most conscious sins out of the four conscious
-
sins, which has to do with lying, the sin of lying, stealing,
-
for nication matter. If you ask people other types of sins, they
-
will forget forgetfulness. They won't mention forgetfulness as part of the sins. But
-
today we are coming to learn that forgetting about God, forgetting to be thankful
-
to God, is actually a sin. And God's word is clear on the
-
subject. The Bible calls forgetting unrighteousness. Forgetting God calls it unrighteousness. How
-
many of you are here when we're treating the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
-
We spoke about the righteousness of God, that the righteousness of God is
-
revealed in many ways. Who can tell me one way the righteousness of God
-
is revealed in anybody? For a box of colorful you're forgotten? How is
-
the righteousness of God revealed? One of these days you come to church and
-
I won't preach, who do recap? You tell us all that we've learned
-
from the beginning of the year till now. Amen, Yes, Lisa and
-
Sister is reviewed. Yes, the righteousness of God is revealed in the anger
-
or the wrath of God. That's this one. Where else is the righteousness
-
of God reviewed? The righteousness of God is reviewed in his son. The
-
righteousness of God is reviewed in this world. The righteousness of God is reviewed
-
in us. Please tell your neighbor. Ask your neighbor, have you been
-
writing notes? What did he tell you? Yes? Please ask them.
-
Writing notes is different from revising notes. The two are different things. Amen.
-
For the knowledge to stick in your head and in your heart, you'd
-
need to revise. Amen. And you see, don't take change as oh
-
it's one of those things I just come and go only any you are robbing
-
yourself of keys for your future. Because by now every youth church member should
-
know what the righteousness of God is. Please ask your neighbor, do you
-
know what the Kingdom of God is? What did they say? Not too
-
sure it is anything. By now, every youth church member who has been
-
coming here, who has been sitting here, who has been listening to me
-
preach, other preachers preach, should know what the Kingdom of God is.
-
Amen. The Kingdom of God is everywhere. God reigns everywhere, God rules
-
everywhere. The will of God is done. Amen. You have remembered,
-
and the Kingdom of God is established in us. So, if God doesn't
-
reign in your heart, if God doesn't rule in your life, if the
-
will of God is not done in you, then the Kingdom of God cannot
-
be seen in you. And if the Kingdom of God is not seen in
-
you, then the righteousness of God cannot be made manifesting you. Amen.
-
So you just keep coming to judge, generate to the same by just walk
-
inside with your legs throwing your legs. Don't let anything you see that you
-
rob yourself of an opportunity in the coming here. Amen. And so let's
-
look at he Bruce, chapter six, Best ten about those who forgets,
-
those who forgets to give God thanks he Bruce, Chapter six West ten characteristics
-
of people who forget to give thanks Umber one. People who forget are considered
-
to be unrighteous by God. People who forget are considered to be unrighteous by
-
God. Who is who is there? He Bruce, Chapter six verse ten.
-
Who can read for us, Yes, either read for us that you
-
have minister to the saints and to the minister. Amen. And so the
-
King James version says that God is not unrighteous to forget your work and your
-
labor of love. God is not unrighteous to forget, so he means,
-
and when you forget, you become unrighteous. Let's look at Jeremiah chapter two,
-
verse thirty two. Jeremiah toss thirty two. How many of you have
-
been to a wedding before? Amen? Have you seen a wedding that's the
-
bride forgot to wear her wedding dress before? Have you been to a wedding
-
where the bride, the one who was getting married, she forgot to wear
-
her wedding dress. She came in her pajamas to do the wedding. Have
-
you seen some before when someone is going to get married, they don't forget
-
their wedding dress. That's how thanksgiving is. When you are forgetful to give
-
God thanks. It's like you are going to get married, but you are
-
forgotten your wedding dress at home. Can a maid forget her ornaments or a
-
bride hair attire? Yet, my people have forgotten me days without number.
-
You have forgotten God. Days without number. Since the beginning of the year
-
up until now you are doing last last with God. You have forgotten God.
-
God is not the object of your love or the object of your affection.
-
You have forgotten God. You don't even say thanks to God. You
-
have not given testimony before. From the beginning of the year till now,
-
you have not said Lord, I'm here to say thank you for all that
-
you have done for me and my family. Some of you have gone on
-
vacation to London, America. You've been on a plane. The plane didn't
-
crash. You've gone. You've gone to Paris. You've gone to Disney World.
-
You're going to enjoy it. And you come back. You are okay.
-
There's nothing you're going to do by You're going to sit on camel.
-
The camel didn't get angry to toss you over and stumble upon you. You
-
have gone and come You are okay. You jump into a swimming pool.
-
You didn't die. You are back. You have not said thanks to God.
-
Those who forget to say thanks to God. They are like people who
-
are getting married. They forgotten their wedding gown. There is no honor on
-
them, and the Bible calls them a righteous Amen. Please ask your neighbor,
-
are you the thankful type? Amen? Please tell them again, are
-
you the thankful type? What did they say? Amen? Many people refuse
-
or forget to say thanks because they don't acknowledge that anything they have or they
-
have received comes from God. They don't say thanks because they don't acknowledge that
-
what they have received or what they have comes from God. Amen. But
-
if you acknowledge that everything you have, everything you are, everything you will
-
ever be, comes from God, then always you will give God thanks.
-
Can I hear an? Amen? And so people become atheists. You know
-
what an atheist is someone who says there is no God. They don't believe
-
there is a God. But the Bible says it's only a fool who says
-
in their hearts there is no God. You see, God has blessed them.
-
They breathe freely. If I was God, I would charge them for
-
the oxygen their breathing. I'll put a meter on their nose. Why do
-
one million dollars? Why do if you do five times five million dollars,
-
we see where you get the money to pay? Amen? So atheists with
-
all their enjoy. Some of them are very rich, some of them are
-
doing well in some of them are doctors. But they say there is no
-
God because they don't recognize the lordship of the God Almighty, who created the
-
heavens and the earth. Amen. So it is only a fool who says
-
in their heart there is no God. So it is unrighteousness to forget God.
-
It is unrighteousness to forget God. Number two. People who forget are
-
unrighteous and do not have the nature of God. People who forget are unrighteous
-
and do not have the nature of God Hebrew sixteen. Again, for God
-
is not unrighteous to forget your work and your labor of love, which you
-
have shown towards His name, in that you have ministered to the saints and
-
do minister. The natural man does not like to remember those who have helped
-
him. The natural unsaved man does not like to remember where he comes from.
-
The natural unsaved man does not know, does not want anybody to know
-
where he comes from or who helped him. Amen. There are people who
-
would say that nobody has helped me in this life before. But meanwhile,
-
while they were growing, someone helped them along the line. And so it
-
becomes unrighteousness when you are not thankful to God. That God is your help.
-
He's the one that has helped us. People who don't thank God do
-
not have the nature of God. Guess what Jesus said to his disciple,
-
For anyone who was willing to hear, he told them where he came from.
-
He was happy to tell them where he came from. The Bible calls
-
him Jesus of Nazareth. And when one of the disciples met him and went
-
to tell his brother, he says, ah, can anything good come out
-
of Nazareth? It means the Nazareth place wasn't anything hyped, It wasn't anything
-
glorious. But guess what Jesus was happy to say, Oh, I come
-
from here. This is who my mother is. I'm the son of a
-
carpenter. Amen. Those who are unthankful do not have the nature of God.
-
Please ask your neighbor for free. Do you have the nature of God?
-
What did they tell you? It's only three answers you can get.
-
Yes. No, they no, they don't say it no answer number three,
-
they're no answer. People are those who are proud, Oh yes,
-
it's a sign of pride. Please ask your neighbor again, do you have
-
the nature of God? What did they say? No answer? If you
-
are as seated by someone who gave you a no answer, please give us
-
a wave. Let's see all the proud people. Amen. You have to
-
always have an answer, whether a yes or a no. Amen. Number
-
three. People who forget are unrighteous and are cursed to weather joke Chapter eight
-
Bess eleven to thirteen. If you have the easy Easy Bible or easy version
-
job chapter eight best eleven to thirteen. Okay, So the King Jesus version
-
says, can the rash grow without mayor can the flag grow without water?
-
Next verse best? So whilst it is yet in his greenness and not cut
-
down, it withered before any heap. So the easy version says that some
-
plants only grow tall in wet ground. Reeds only grow well where there is
-
water. If the water is no longer there, they will die quickly.
-
If they die before they are ready to be cut down by people, they
-
become useless more quickly than grass. And it says that people who do not
-
remember God are like these plants. Their hope disappears quickly. So people who
-
forget God they wither and die quickly. Please ask your neighbor, do you
-
want to weather? Amen? Let me explain this to you in simple terms.
-
You see how comfortable your life is now you have your own bed.
-
How many of you have your own bed? You sleep on your own bed,
-
or you share with another person, they're still a bed. When your
-
life with this now you lose your bed. You sleep on the floor.
-
You sleep on a mat, not on a mattress. That is how life
-
with us. So before they would drive you to school in a nice car.
-
When your life with this you'll be walking to school you'll be sweating.
-
That is a weathered life. Do you understand? Yes, you are now
-
eating three square meals a day with desserts, two deserts a day. When
-
you're with this one square meal safe, you struggle to eat. So those
-
who forget God, they are life with this. Amen. I don't think
-
you want to be in that situation. So be thankful to God so your
-
life becomes refreshed. Can I hear an amen? And so be careful that
-
you remember all the ways God has brought you and all the things God has
-
done for you. Is there anyone here who remembers all the ways God has
-
brought them through is there anyone here who is thankful to God for all the
-
things God has done for them? Oh? Is there anyone here? Amen?
-
See, you can't be silent. I will not be silent. You
-
cannot be silent. Do you understand? If God has been good to you
-
can't be silent. You will always want to express your appreciation for the one
-
who has done great things for you. Amen. It is a sign that
-
you love God. How many of you have uncles who are very stingy or
-
aunties? Do you like them? Not so much? But how many of
-
you have uncles or aunties who when they are coming bead they will bring you
-
chocolate? Then they are bringing you something nice? You like them very much?
-
So esse, imagine God being that uncle or auntie to you who is
-
always nice to you, and you don't know how to say thanks. It
-
makes you unrighteous. Amen. So please tell your neighbor for free, be
-
careful to remember your God for all that he has brought you through and for
-
all that he has done for you. Amen. Can you close your eyes
-
and lift your right hand, say, he is my word ship, all
-
of my wordship. Receive my word ship, all of my ship. He's
-
my wordship. He's my word. All of man receive my wordship, receive
-
all of my ship. Those who forget and righteous, and they wither like
-
grass. Amen. Number four. Unrighteous people are not conscious of the dangers
-
of forgetting God. Unrighteous people, they are not conscious of the dangers of
-
forgetting God. Some one thirty seven. There's one to six, some one
-
thirty seven, Verse one to six. And this is a very popular scripture
-
that even the Rastafarians have written a song about it. By the rivers of
-
Babylon, where we sat, Yeah, we wept when we remember zign.
-
Next verse, we hung our halts upon the willows in the midst of it.
-
Next verse, For there those who carried us away captive asked of us
-
a song, and those who plundered us requested men, saying, sing us
-
one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the long the Lord's
-
Song in a foreign land, in a strange land. Next verse. If
-
I forget you, Oh Jerusalem, let my right right hand forget its skill.
-
If I forget you, if I do not remember you, let my
-
tongue cling to the roof of my mouth. If I do not exhalt,
-
please go back. Verse six. If I do not exone Jerusalem about the
-
chief Joy. Next verse seven, remember, oh Lord, against the suns
-
of it on the days of Jerusalem, who said, raise it, raise
-
it to its foundation. Amen. The writer says that if I forget Jerusalem,
-
let me forget how to type my name on a computer. If I
-
forget if I know how to play the keyboard, let me forget how to
-
play the keyboard. If I forget my God, let my tongue let us
-
stick to the roof of my mouth. It means I, let me not
-
be able to talk again. So the writer plays a cares on himself so
-
that he will not forget where he came from. Can you remember all that
-
God has been to you, all that God has done for you since you
-
were a baby up until now, Amen, Because if you don't remember what
-
God has done, then it makes you and righteous. And there are dangers
-
for being forgetful when it comes to God. Amen. And so we must
-
remember to take remembrance seriously any and everything God does for you. Write it
-
down in January. What did God do for you in January? Write it
-
down in February? What did God do for you in February? Write it
-
down in March April, June July. What did God do for you?
-
Write it down, and when you are thanking God, look at it and
-
say, Father, I thank you for this. I thank you that I
-
all those who wrote worse he and past where they give a lot a wave.
-
Amen. Write it down when you get to school. Write it down
-
when you go to the school. Write it down. When you are thanking
-
God, refer to it. Say God, I thank you you help me
-
pass my exams. I thank you you help me get a school. I
-
thank you you help me get a good cause. I thank you for a
-
good teacher who is teaching me good things in the house of God. Write
-
it down. Write your blessings down and name them one by one. Because
-
when you forget to thank God, it makes you unriteous. Please tell your
-
neighbor when you forget to thank God, it makes you unrighteous. Please say
-
it again. When you forget to thank God, it makes you unrighteous.
-
Amen. So the Psalmist knew that it would be a tragedy about Jerusalem if
-
he forgot about Jerusalem, if forgot where he came from. Amen. One
-
of the tragedies of humanity is forgetfulness. It's forgetfulness when you forget where God
-
has brought you from, how God has been good to you. When you
-
forget it, and when life becomes nice little you forget about God completely.
-
That is a tragedy in humanity that makes you unrighteous before God, because God
-
is not unrighteous. To forget our works and the labor of our love.
-
Amen. I see Bishop John, and here teas saying Bishop in the house.
-
Can we welcome you with a hand pler? Welcome Bishop? Amen.
-
Next time when you are clapping for him, the stand on your feet.
-
Can we do it when a bishop works if we stand on your feet and
-
we welcome him. So we stand on your feet and welcome him. Amen.
-
Amen, Please be seated one number. We on number five. Amen.
-
I can see some people have airports in their ears. Remove it with
-
immediate effects so that your two years can hear what I'm telling you. Amen,
-
Just imagine I also put my airports in my ears when I'm preaching to
-
you. You think you're the only one who has an airport. I have
-
an airport too. How will they benefit you? If I catch anybody else?
-
Is your airport? Yes, you can go and tell your parents.
-
They want to show that they are cool, but they are not cool like
-
that. Please tell them you're not cool like that, not yet, until
-
you start honoring God in the house. You're not cool like that. Amen.
-
Cool people are those who honor God, Oh, yes, Amen.
-
Number five. And righteous people forget when God. They forget God when they
-
are full, and when they are houses, when they have houses, and
-
when they are rich. The Tournomy chapter eight, verse twelve to ten.
-
Euteronomy chapter eight, Best twelve to fourteen, twelve to fourteen. Lest let's
-
go to Best eleven and then will come to vest best twelve. Please tell
-
your neighbor beware what what's the meaning of beware? Who can tell us what
-
the mean of you? A is? Dictionary? Dictionary students? Who are
-
you? What are the English? Yes? What as you mean? Be
-
careful? It says that be careful that you do not forget the Lord your
-
God by not keeping his commandment, Beware, by not keeping his commandments,
-
his judgments, his statues, which I command you today next verse verse twelve.
-
When you have eaten, and you are full, and have built houses
-
and dwell in them. Next verse and when your heads and your flocks are
-
multiplied, and your silver and your gold are multiplied, and all that you
-
have have multiplied. Next verse, when your heart is lifted. So it
-
says, beware of the dangers of forgetting God, because in this life you
-
can have abundance. And when you have a abundance, you can't forget God.
-
And when you forget God, your heart will be lifted. You become
-
proud. You fall in the category of those who are proud. Shout outs
-
to all those who are proud. You become their members. Amen. And
-
when you become proud, you forget the Lord your God, who brought you
-
out of the land of Egypt from bondage. You will forget him. Amen.
-
And I tell you Forgetfulness is a tragedy in life. I remember when
-
I was growing up, when I started waking, I used to take five
-
trot thross to wake in the morning because where I lived was very far.
-
I have to wake up at five point thirty get by six o'clock. I'm
-
standing there. And when you get there, there's a que already. You
-
jump into the first strat throt that will go a little and then you stop
-
it. You are light at the junction, and then take another one,
-
and a light at another junction, and take another one. Fie by the
-
time I get to the office, I've taken five troutroths. When God blessed
-
me and I bought my fast car, I forgot the trautoral experience. Do
-
you understand? It is in the nature of man to forget. It is
-
in the nature. If you ask me how much they pay for taking a
-
trouthrough from here to thirty seven, I can't tell you because I don't remember.
-
I don't know. It is in the nature of man to forget.
-
So the writer is saying that beway because they are spiritual dangerous in forgetting about
-
God. Amen, they are spiritual dangerous in forgetting about God. Even affects
-
your praise and your worship. We come to church and we are singing here
-
my worship, all of my worship. You have nothing to say. You're
-
just done in there like a dolly. You're Bobbie door. You can't say
-
yes my worship when we are saying and I will not be silent. You
-
are very silent. In fact, you are the definition of silence. I
-
will always wear shipe you. There is no worship coming because you are not
-
thankful. You are forgotten your God. So what are you thanking God for?
-
Even the shoes you're not you're wearing you can't say thank you to God
-
for it? So what are you thanking God for? And so they are
-
spiritual dangers in forgetting about God. Let's look at number six weekly and righteous
-
people who forget are often proud, and righteous people who forget are often proud.
-
And the Bible says that lest your hearts be lifted, lest your hearts
-
build the same scripture, less your hearts be lifted, Amen, when your
-
heart is lifted up. Proud people forget God, they are not mindful of
-
Please ask your neighbor. Are you proud? Are you a proud person?
-
Please ask them? Are you afraid of them? Ask them again? Are
-
you a proud person? What did they say? No answer? All those
-
who said no answer, they are proud. All those who didn't give you
-
an answer you are proud. Please ask them again, are you a proud
-
person? What did they say? Desire yes or no? Because proud people
-
don't admit that they are proud. So the only way you know that they
-
are proud is that they will say no, don't give you an answer.
-
A wise man called Bishop Donna Hereti said the sin of the youth is passion.
-
The sins or the sin of the middle age or the young adults is
-
pride when you start buying your fast card, when you start buying your first
-
house, when you marry and start having children. Pride was set in when
-
you do your first degree, when you do your second degree, do you
-
know who I am? When you become a doctor, pride and the sin
-
of the older generation is prejudiced. They have seen it all, write it
-
now. It's a good proverb. Amen, So be careful not to forget
-
God, so that your heart will not be lifted up. Amen. So
-
pride is one of the principal causes of forgetting, because once you are proud,
-
you think you have attained or you have by your own self. When
-
you buy a nice new wig, pride comes in, telling my wig is
-
nice, though nobody has. What's the name of the leader's wig? Now?
-
Bone strings? Bone streets, Hey, bone streets, Ah, bone
-
streets, I'm the only one who has bone streets. Pride comes in when
-
you wear the bone streets, not that you're working eving changes. Amen.
-
So when you are proud, you tend to forget God. They don't acknowledge,
-
they don't want to acknowledge that any human being has helped them before.
-
They actually think in their hearts that they are self made, and they want
-
to think the same way. Amen. When you hear someone say I'm self
-
made, be very careful of them because they are exhibiting pride in the highest
-
order. Lucifer thought to himself that I am this. I am that I
-
want to ascend above the throne of God. I want to be equal to
-
God. I want people to He began thinking that he doesn't need God.
-
So one sign of being proud is that you think that you have attained everything
-
all by yourself. Amen, that no one has been of help to you.
-
Amen. What number we on? Number seven? And righteous people do
-
not remember anyone when they become wealthy. Eutern on Me Chapter eight, verse
-
eighteen to nineteen. But thou shalt remember the Lord like God, for it
-
is he that giveth thee power to get well, and that he may establish
-
his covenant with which he swore onto thy fathers. As of this day.
-
Unrighteous people who are proud, they do not remember anyone when they become wealthy.
-
Amen. And so we are still on the theme of thanks being thankful.
-
The key of thanksgiving and we are learning about the dangers of forgetting to
-
be thankful to God, because when you forget to be thankful to God,
-
you set yourself up for failure. Amen. Number eight. Unrighteous people do
-
not remember their past sins or their past mistakes. The Toronto me chapter nine,
-
verse seven. Remember and forget not how thou provoked the Lord that God
-
to wrath in the wilderness. From the day that you did depart from the
-
land of Egypt until you came into this place, you have been rebellious against
-
God. You should always remember your past sins so that it humbles you.
-
Amen. You should always remember your past mistakes so that it humbles you.
-
Amen. Because God is the one who was forgiving us. God is the
-
one who has forgive someone with three bless a Lord of my soul, and
-
forget not all his benefits. He's the one who forgives all our iniquities.
-
So remember so that it will keep you humble at all times. Can I
-
hear an? Amen? Oh? Can I hear better? Amen? So
-
why must we remember our past mistakes? Because by remembering our past miss it
-
makes us recognize how much grace and messy God has shown us. So by
-
remembering you acknowledge how much grace and messy God has shown us. Amen.
-
So when you lift up the song here's my word, ship, you are
-
remembering the grace and messis how you used to be a very bad boy.
-
