  78. the end of the year. Can you move out of your seat. Just

  79. tell someone congratulations you made it to the end of the year. To someone.

  80. Some people are new, so you have to go to them say congratulations,

  81. you made it to the end of the year. Congratulations, you made

  82. it to the end of the year. Congratulations, you made it to the

  83. end of the year. Halle Yeah, did you say congratulations to someone?

  84. You did? Amen. It's a great privilege to be in the presence of

  85. the Lord this morning. Amen, And on behalf of our father and the

  86. Lord, the Archbishop Nicholas and Williams. Oh, can you do a better

  87. club for the Lord and celebrate us of God. Oh, welcome to church

  88. this morning. Please tell your neighbors standing by you it's good to see you

  89. in church. Amen, and please be seated in the presence of the Law.

  90. Insure a play. Gray are you grayly to be pray? Gray?

  91. To be pray? Father? Great? Are you? Thank you Jesus,

  92. let us pray. Father. We give you thanks this morning for your blessing

  93. and keeping us and preserving us from the beginning of the year, even up

  94. until now the last day of twenty twenty three. We are very grateful for

  95. your love. We are grateful for your messies. We are grateful for your

  96. kindness thoughts us. We are grateful that you've shown us great messies and you

  97. have preserved our lives. We thank you that you have preserved our souls from

  98. death. We thank you that you've preserved our eyes from tears, and you

  99. have preserved our feet from falling. This morning we have returned to give you

  100. all the praise. We have returned to give you all the glory in Jesus'

  101. precious name. Let a believe us say an amen? Oh can you say

  102. better? Amen? Hallelujah, Amen. And so we thank God for today,

  103. and we thank God for his word that is coming to us today.

  104. Amen. Last week, by God's grace, we spoke about thanksgiving, Amen.

  105. And we spoke about an aspect of thanksgiving that has to do with remembrance.

  106. Remembrance, and so I spoke to you about those who forget, and

  107. about the fact that forgetting is a tragedy in humanity. Every human being has

  108. the ability to forget, all right, every human being has the ability to

  109. forget. But in as much as everyone can forget, one thing you can't

  110. easily forget is your name. Can you easily forget your name? Have you

  111. forgotten your name before? Adam? Have you forgotten your name before? You

  112. haven't? Even when you ask sleep and they wake you up and say what

  113. is your name? You remember your name? Is that true? Amen?

  114. So then it means that the things that we forget are things that we usually

  115. don't place high priority on. Do you understand, once you put priority on

  116. it, you won't forget it. And God was advising the children of Israel

  117. about the fact that changing life, when you begin to live a good life,

  118. it can affect you and cause you to forget God. All right,

  119. And once you begin to forget God, your thanksgiving ends. You are not

  120. thankful to God anymore because you don't remember him. And if you don't remember

  121. him, you won't remember anything he has done for you. If you don't

  122. remember him, you will remember how He has healed you. If you forget

  123. God, you remember how He has saved you. If you forget God,

  124. you remember how God has been good to you and your family that throughout the

  125. year, from the first day of the year till now, how God has

  126. been good to you all that this year you are not even admitted in a

  127. hospital, that you didn't foresake, They didn't rush you to a hospital,

  128. they didn't call an ambulance to come and carry you to the hospital, because

  129. of God's goodness and his messis. And so God is teaching us that to

  130. forget is something that is simple. You can easily forget, but God wants

  131. us to always remember because our thanksgiving is linked to remembering God and what He

  132. has done for us. Two years ago I spoke to you about the key

  133. of thanksgiving and how you can enter into God's presence is with thanksgiving. But

  134. how do you have thanksgiving? When you forget God, you won't have thanksgiving,

  135. and it means that you deny yourself the access to open the gates into

  136. the presence of God. So in your life, as a child of God,

  137. you will not have the presence of God with you because you lack thanksgiving.

  138. Amen, I spoke to you about a few reasons why people forget.

  139. Why people forget. There are so many reasons why people forget. As well.

  140. As a child of God, because in the new Year, God has

  141. said before you an open door that will lead to your destiny, you can't

  142. forget God. Amen. God forbid that any child of God who is here,

  143. who has come through the youth church. When you grow up you say

  144. that I don't want to go to church anymore. Somebody say God forbid.

  145. If I say God forbid that me later in life I will say that there

  146. is no God God forbid. Amen. And so we need to begin to

  147. remember God and all that He has done for us. Amen. Oh,

  148. I said Amen. And so today, by God's grace, I want to

  149. share with you six reasons why it is important to remember. Six reasons why

  150. it is important to remember. And so let's take a foundation scripture for Some

  151. one oh three, verse one to twelve. Some one oh three, verse

  152. one to twelve. And the psalmist writes a psalm and says, Bless the

  153. Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me. Bless his

  154. holy name. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all

  155. his benefits. Who forgiveth all thine iniquity, who heals all thy diseases,

  156. Who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and messies

  157. five, who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is

  158. renewed Like the eagles. The Lord executes righteousness and judgment for all those who

  159. are oppressed. He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the

  160. children of Israel. The Lord is messyful and gracious. He is slow to

  161. anger and plaintios in mercies. He will not always child, or suffer,

  162. or strive with the seed of man. Neither will he keep his anger forever.

  163. He has not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us according

  164. to our iniquities. For us, the heavens are high up above the earth.

  165. So great is God's mercies towards those who fear him. As far as

  166. the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from

  167. us? Can someone say an amen? And so you see, someone or

  168. three gives us many reasons why we can't forget God. The most important reason

  169. you should know always is that it is God who forgives all your sins.

  170. How many of you have sinned here before? You have sinned before, whether

  171. consciously unconsciously, you have sinned. But guess what it is God who forgives.

  172. Amen. He is the one who forgives all our iniquities, all our

  173. sins. He's the one who forgives us. So we can't forget him.

  174. Please tell your neighbor we can't forget God. Please tell your other neighbor,

  175. we can't forget God. Amen. And so through our life, as you

  176. grow up, as you go to school, as you meet people. You

  177. will encounter setting people who don't have their ability to remember. You will encounter

  178. them. You meet them primary school, junior high, senior high, university,

  179. college, whatever you call it, you meet them. They don't have

  180. the ability to remember, and so they don't remember anything good God has done

  181. for them. If he asks them go around randomly and say what are you

  182. grateful to God for from the beginning of the year till now, they don't

  183. have anything to say because they don't have the ability to remember. Amen.

  184. And so the ability to remember is probably one of the most important qualities of

  185. a child of God. So God expects you to be able to remember.

  186. God expects you to be able to remember His goodness. And so when the

  187. children of Israel were coming out of Egypt, wanted them to remember how bad

  188. things were in Egypt. They walked into Egypt as free men and free women,

  189. and a pharaoh came. We forgot about Joseph and enslaved all of them.

  190. So they were slaves in Egypt. They were made to work without pay.

  191. Do you understand. But when God delivered them out of Egypt, he

  192. wanted them to remember how bad things were. And guess what the children of

  193. Israel forgot about God. And so when you forget about God, you are

  194. disloyal to God and the things of God. You also become rebellious towards the

  195. things of God. So remembrance is a very important virtue that every child of

  196. God should have. Can I hear an amen? Amen? And so even

  197. for the children of Israel, God wanted them to remember always that it is

  198. God who brought you out of Egypt into the land, into the Promised Land.

  199. But guess what many of them forgot, and they built an idol,

  200. a cow as the thing that delivered them from Egypt. Can you imagine that

  201. after God had parted the Red Sea, they had walked on dry ground,

  202. after God had delivered them from many plagues, they built a sheep, a

  203. cow, a golden cow as their God. That that is what delivered them.

  204. So remembrance, when you forget, you can easily have something else as

  205. your God, apart from the mosa God. Can I hear an amen?

  206. When you forget God, you can have something else as your God. Amen.

  207. Please write this down. Prayer will bring things into your life. Wisdom

  208. will keep the things God has brought into your life. Remembrance and thanksgiving will

  209. multiply the things God has given to you. Should I say it again,

  210. Prayer will bring things into your life. Wisdom will keep the things God has

  211. brought in your life. Remembrance and thanksgiving will multiply the things God has brought

  212. into your life. And so without remembrance and thanksgiving, there is no multiplication

  213. in your life. Amen. That is why when you are a thankful person

  214. and you are eating, and you even have a little food to eat,

  215. and you say, thank you Father for this I'm about to receive, Surprisingly,

  216. you can eat that little thing and be satisfied. When Jesus was preaching

  217. to over five thousand people on the mountain, the Bible says that they were

  218. hungry and a small boy all fed two fish and five loaves of bread,

  219. and Jesus gave thanks to God for that which he had received, and it

  220. multiplied. So thanksgiving has a multiplied effect on things that God has brought into

  221. your life. Can I hear an Amen? Amen? And so six reasons

  222. why we need to remember God and what he has done. Number One,

  223. Remembrance makes us appreciate our salvation. Remembrance makes us appreciate our salvation. Hebrews

  224. Chapter two, verse one to three. Hebrews, Chapter two, Verse one

  225. to three. Remembrance makes us appreciate our salvation. Let's look at the New

  226. King James version of the NIV. Let's do the NIV. The Bible says

  227. that we must pay more careful attention. Pay what more careful attention? Do

  228. you know why you don't forget your name? Is because you pay careful attention

  229. to your name. The day you decide that you don't pay careful attention to

  230. your name, they will ask you what is your name, and you mention

  231. somebody's name. It says, pay more careful attention therefore, to what you

  232. have heard, so that you don't drift away. Keep the scripture there,

  233. Pay more careful attention to what you have, what what you have? What

  234. you have? What you have, what you have those ye I can't tell

  235. you what you have heard. Pay more careful attention. So everything you hear

  236. here in this place, pay careful attention to it, because the day you

  237. forget what you are being taught here, you begin to drift away. Next

  238. verse. For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation

  239. and disobedience received a just punishment. Next verse, how shall we escape if

  240. we ignore such a great salvation, how can you escape hell? If you

  241. ignore such a great salvation? Do you understand so by remembrance you will not

  242. ignore this great salvation? Do you know that people who forget often don't even

  243. remember that Jesus died for them on the cross. Do you know that?

  244. Yes, how many of you are here? You are there? Just in

  245. December you thought to yourself that, oh, Jesus died for me on the

  246. cross. Give me a wave. How many if you have thought to yourself

  247. that Jesus died for me on the cross. I'm grateful to go just this

  248. moile. You see, many people have not thought about because they don't remember

  249. that Jesus died for them. And so if you don't remember that Jesus died

  250. for you, then you are ignoring this great salvation. Because if you don't

  251. remember that Jesus died for you, and he took your sins on the cross

  252. and paid the price for you, you will live your life anyhow, how

  253. many of you went to the what you call it the deaty rave or something?

  254. They just give the lord awave and shame the devil anybody who went amy?

  255. Did you go to the debiti rave. You didn't go? Who went

  256. to the dirty rave, the dirt the devil rave, or whatever else called

  257. the devil rave the dirty reeve? Did you go? Those who go to

  258. such things they don't remember this great salvation? Amen? Please Amy, look

  259. for the definition of rave and add dirty to it so that we educate ourselves.

  260. Do you know what is dirty? And I hope you know what is

  261. dirty? Let me give you an example. Have we seen that shirt of

  262. yours that you like wearing? Power? I don't like washing when it's dirty.

  263. Do you know how it smells bad? And let's add a rave to

  264. it. Come and say it into the microphone so they can hear. Pay

  265. careful attention so you don't forget to Rave is to move or advance violently,

  266. to move or advance violently, or to speak out irrationally, as if in

  267. delirium, irrationally as though you are a mad person, ditty rave. When

  268. you fail to remember God, you ignore this great salvation you have received.

  269. Amen? Or can we clap our hands? See Bishop Johnny jung Bar at

  270. the back one name mischef Amen. When you fail to remember, you fail

  271. to remember the Great Salvation. The slams Jesus received for you. You're gonna

  272. stand there violently, you are throwing your leg Sometimes you're weak, will fall

  273. off. You fail to recognize this great salvation. Amen. So children of

  274. God who don't remember God, or who don't have the ability to remember,

  275. they always forget their salvation. There's a songwriter says, when I remember what

  276. the Lord has done, I will never go back anymore. How many,

  277. if you know that song, those who keep going back are people who forgets.

  278. It's as simple as that. When God has saved you from sin,

  279. God has saved you from disaster, and you keep going back, it means

  280. you're forgotten. It means you don't remember. Amen. It means you don't

  281. remember. So number one reason for always remembering is that when you remember,

  282. you always remember this great salvation. Can I hear an, amen? How

  283. many of you are going back to the things I used to do? Did

  284. I see a hand up? Amen? You can't go back to the things

  285. you used to do because you always need to remember this great salvation. Amen.

  286. Please tell your neighbor remember this great salvation. Amen. When you are

  287. going to watch that pornography, let this song start up in your heart.

  288. When I remember what the Lord has done, I will never go Please listen

  289. together. When I remember what the Lord has done, I will never go

  290. back anymore. When you think of stealing nothing, When I remember what the

  291. Lord has done, I will never go back anymo. When you are tempted

  292. to dance to a worldly song on TikTok and Instagram, let this song come

  293. out in your heart. When I remember the Lord has done, I will

  294. never go back anymore. Amen. When you are tempted to go and phony

  295. kids, let this song come out in your mind. When I remember the

  296. beatings they gave Jesus on the cross, I will never go back. Let

  297. this song work come to your remembrance. Amen. Let the song come where

  298. to your remembrance. Amen. And so let's look at number two. Remembrance

  299. makes you walk in your calling. Gallicians, Chapter three, verse thirteen to

  300. fourteen. Gallicians, Chapter three, verse thirteen to fourteen. Christ redeemed us

  301. from the case of the Lord by becoming a case for us, For it

  302. is written, kurse is anyone who hangs on the tree. Next verse,

  303. he redeemed us in order that the blessing giving to Abraham might come to the

  304. gentiles to Christ. Jesus so that by faith we may receive the promise of

  305. the Father. So that by faith we may receive the promise of the Father.

  306. So when you remember, you walk in the calling that God has called

  307. you to. Amen. Please let's stand on our feet and let's welcome our

  308. supervising Bishop, Bishop John, and here tea into the house with a hand.

  309. Clap to the Lord. Amen. Oh, is that all the best

  310. you can do today? Bishop is coming to give you comnion. So please

  311. clap, clap your hands better, Amen, hallelujah. I hope some of

  312. you are wondering what this is? No secret center. This is communion.

  313. Amen. We are coming to have communion and Bishop is coming to give it

  314. to us. Amen. So please be seiz and let's run through this quickly

  315. so that I hand over to Bishop. Let's look at Second Corinthians Chapter five

  316. is eighteen to ninety, eighteen to twenty. Second Corinthians five eighteen to twenty.

  317. So the point is remembrance makes you walk in your calling. Second Corinthians

  318. five eighteen and says that all this is from God, who reconciled us onto

  319. himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation. Our calling is that God has

  320. reconciled us onto himself and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. Next verse

  321. that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins

  322. against them. So all the sins you have committed, all the sins you

  323. are committing, God is not counting it against you because of the fact that

  324. God is reconciling you to himself, and He has committed to you the message

  325. of reconciliation. That is your calling. Amen. God has called you into

  326. the ministry of reconciliation, and God has given you the message of reconciliation.

  327. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors. He has even added more, He has honored

  328. you. You are an ambassador of Christ. Please tell your neighbor do you

  329. know you're an ambassador of Christ? Yes? So, ambassadors of Christ.

  330. Always remember when that boy does something you want to insult them, then the

  331. song will come. When I remember what the Lord has done, I will

  332. never go back anymore. Me While those days you say my b and you

  333. beat them, well, well, but you you are now a ambassadors of

  334. Christ. Don't fight. Amen, You're an ambassador of Christ. So when

  335. you remember God and what he has done. You walk in your calling that

  336. God has called you to. Amen. And your calling is that God has

  337. called you into the ministry of reconciliation and has given you the message of reconciliation

  338. to reconcile the world to Him. So, as an ambassador of Christ in

  339. twenty twenty four, your friends can't be unbelievers anymore? Can I hear?

  340. An? Amen? All your unbelieverd friends should be following you to church as

  341. an ambassador of Jesus Christ. Do you understand you can't be going to deteriterate

  342. with your friends who are unbelievers, or going to Charlie Waite or which one

  343. single tone or which one is a marathon? And you'll be there with your
