  1. Level the mind that is accurate, a sound and has the ability to filter

  2. information and influence. All right. And so the prescribed mind condition that God

  3. has prescribed for us in order for us to walk and have the mind of

  4. Christ is for us to first have a sound mind, because that is what

  5. God has given to us as children of God. And so God's prescription for

  6. us as chuldren of God is that we should have a sound mind. Can

  7. I hear an? Amen? If you're following what I'm saying so far?

  8. Amen? Amen? Amen, Amen, Amen? All right, So let's

  9. have someone read for us Romance chapter twelve Versus two to four. Romance Chapter

  10. twelve vers two to four, Whom twelve verse two to four. I'm reading

  11. the nalty version. Yes, soonds copy the behavior and customs of this world.

  12. But let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you

  13. think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is

  14. good and pleasing and perfect. Amen. Amen. And so God wants us

  15. all, especially as children of God, to be transformed to a new person.

  16. And the new person that God wants us to be transformed into is a

  17. person that looks like Christ Jesus. And so when salvation happens and you become

  18. born again. It takes the renewing of the mind based on instruction from God's

  19. word for transform nation to begin to happen in your life. All right,

  20. So when transformation begins to happen as a result of the renewing of your mind,

  21. then gradually you see that you begin to bear the nature of Christ.

  22. You begin to bear the nature of God. And so if we compare when

  23. you were not born again to when you were born again, we can see

  24. a clear difference in your life, that is a transformed life. But in

  25. order to be transformed, the first prescription for being transformed is that we should

  26. not conform to the patterns of the world, but we should be transformed by

  27. the renewing of our minds. And so you cannot be born again child of

  28. God who loves God, who is fully conformed to the patterns of this world.

  29. Now I take time. I think I've treated the patterns of this world

  30. in our podcast, So kindly refer to our podcast. Actually, Youth Spink

  31. techs on all the podcast platforms, and there's a teaching on there. When

  32. I started teaching on transformation and renewing of your mind and so you realize that

  33. God wants to change us. God wants to make us new people. He

  34. wants to change your personality. He wants to change your outlook. He wants

  35. to change how we respond to circumstances situations. But until we are renewed in

  36. the mind, transformation cannot come to heart. And for you to even walk

  37. it with a sound mind requires you to have a renewed mind. Amen.

  38. And so the prescription today that I want to speak to you about is the

  39. mindset or having the mind of Christ Jesus. Having the mind of Christ.

  40. That is the ultimate mind condition of any child of God who loves God and

  41. who is obedient to God's voice, and who is obedient to the purpose of

  42. God. All right, So Philippians chapter two, best five to age shepherd

  43. Drab, please read that for us Philippians chapter two, verse five to eight.

  44. Philippians two five to eight. Okay, verse five. You must have

  45. the same attitude that that Christ Jesus had. Though he was God, he

  46. did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead,

  47. he gave up his divine privileges. He took the humble position of a slave

  48. and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,

  49. he humbled himself in obedience to the God and died a criminal's death on a

  50. pause, Amen, Amen. So you see when people read the scripture that

  51. initially they had to jump because Jesus died a criminal's death. And I don't

  52. think anyone wants to die of criminal's death. That is not what God is

  53. saying. That is not the import of the scripture. But this scripture is

  54. talking about the attitude of Christ because Jesus came to fulfill the purpose, and

  55. the purpose for which he came was to redeem man from sin and the effects

  56. of sin, which is death. And so by humbling himself having that attitude,

  57. the Bible says that he humbled himself even to death on the cross.

  58. And though he was God, when he came to the earth, he considered

  59. himself of no reputation, so that he can be like a humble save and

  60. so he can fulfill his purpose and his agenda on earth. And so Jesus

  61. set a pattern for us to follow as far as his mindset and his attitude

  62. is our concerned. And so the New King James version says that let this

  63. mind be in you, which was also in Christ, Jesus. Let this

  64. mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. If you remember

  65. I said earlier in my submission that God wants us to have the nature of

  66. God, the nature of Christ. And if we are going to have the

  67. nature of Christ and be like him, then it means that we need to

  68. think like him. In the Book of Arts, the Bible says that after

  69. Jesus, Christ was anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power, that he

  70. went about doing good. And so you realize that the nature of God in

  71. the mindset of Christ Jesus is all about doing good. Okay, so let's

  72. look at a few characteristics regarding the mind of Christ. The first characteristic about

  73. the mind of Christ is that the mind of Christ is not proud. The

  74. mind of Christ is not proud, It's humble. The mind of Christ is

  75. humble. The mind of Christ. You can find humility in the mind of

  76. Christ. Number two, the mind of Christ things on things above in that

  77. the mind of Christ is more kingdom based than earthly based. So the mind

  78. of Christ is any child of God who has the mind of Christ is more

  79. of a kingdom citizen than just a person walking on earth. So people who

  80. are kingdom minded, think on things above all. Right, kingdom minded people

  81. think on things above The mind of Christ does not entertain high things. High

  82. mindedness, which is also pride. The mind of Christ does not entertain high

  83. mindedness. Just imagine if Jesus, when Jesus came, he decided to live

  84. like the king that he is from eternity, then he would even have associated

  85. with, you know, the poor. He would not have associated with people

  86. who don't who are not of you know, high status in society. But

  87. because he had a mindset of humility, he was able to relate with everybody,

  88. the high, the mighty, the rich, the poor, the less

  89. privilege, was able to relate with every single one of them. Okay,

  90. And when you read further, Philippians are perforce Philippians to age. When you

  91. read downwards, and he says that because of this, God has highly exalted

  92. him and given him a name that is above every other name, that at

  93. the mention of the name, that every nie should bow, both in heaven,

  94. on earth, and even under the earth, and confess that Jesus Christ

  95. is Lord to the glory of the Father. So because of his humility he

  96. has been given a name that is above every other name. So the final

  97. characteristic of the mind of Christ is that the mind of Christ results in honor,

  98. It results in elevation, it results in glory. So when you humble

  99. yourself, your expected outcome is that God will exalt you. God will lift

  100. you up far above all. Right. And so if that is your desire,

  101. that one day you'll be great in future, then have the mind of

  102. Christ, because the mind of Christ is the surest way to greatness in the

  103. Kingdom of God. Amen. So now we want to know how can we

  104. have the mind of Christ. So we've spoken about the mind of Christ.

  105. How can we have the mind of Christ? Matthew, chapter eleven, verse

  106. twenty nine. Matthew, Chapter eleven, verse twenty nine, Matthew eleven,

  107. verse twenty Yes, please go ahead, first, take my yoke upon you.

  108. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart,

  109. and you will find rest for your souls. Amen. Amen. And so

  110. how to have the mind of Christ is to go back to the person or

  111. the personality who has that mind and learn from him. So he says that

  112. let me teach you. Let me teach you. Take my yoke upon yourself

  113. and learn from me, for I am gentle, I am humble, and

  114. I am gentle in heart, all right. And when you take the yoke

  115. of Christ upon yourself as a child of God, you find rest for your

  116. soul. Another translation to finding rest for your soul is that you have a

  117. sound You have a sound mind, so things like anxiety you don't experience.

  118. Things like that, you get it. Your mind is strong. You are

  119. strong at will, so you are not easily convinced to do things which you

  120. think are not right. You have a sound mind. And Jesus says that

  121. my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. The burden of following

  122. Christ, Jesus is lighter than the burden of living in the world. Amen.

  123. And so he says we should learn from him that he would teach us.

  124. So let's look at Johnt chapter thirteen, verse fifteen. John chapter thirteen,

  125. verse fifteen, John thirteen, verse fifteen. I've given you an example

  126. to follow. Do as I have done to you, Amen. Amen.

  127. And so it says that the way I'm teaching you is that I have given

  128. you examples to follow. So do as I have done. And so the

  129. way you have the mind of Christ is to look and to study the life

  130. of Christ Jesus, and to learn from him. If you read Feather,

  131. it says that most assuredly, I say to you, a sevant is not

  132. greater than his master, nor is he who is sent greater than he who

  133. sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do

  134. them. So when you do what Jesus did, you begin to have the

  135. mind of Christ. Amen. And so one aspect of the things that Jesus

  136. did was that Jesus was interested in the Word of God. At the age

  137. of twelve years old. Jesus was very interested in the Word of God.

  138. He would study it. He would go to the synagogue to study the Word

  139. of God. You will sit down in small meetings, have deliberations with people

  140. on the Word of God, and he will speak his mind on it and

  141. out of it. It was revealed that the young Jesus had wisdom and understanding

  142. in the Word of God, that even the older generation at that time did

  143. not have that knowledge of that understanding in the Word of God. Amen.

  144. So let's look at first Joint Chapter two, verse five to six. First

  145. Joint Chapter two, verse five to six. First John two five to six,

  146. that's five. But those who are big God's words truly show how completely

  147. they love Him. That is how we know we are living in Him.

  148. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.

  149. Amen. Amen. And so the proof of your love is not your abilities

  150. to sing, Oh, I love you, Jesus our worship and adore you

  151. and lie on the flaw and role. That is not the proof of your

  152. love for God. The biblical proof of your love for God is when you

  153. obey his instruction, when you keep the word of God. That is what

  154. shows that you love God. And so in learning to have the mind of

  155. Christ, the foundation of it is that we must keep God's word. If

  156. you read Joshua one Aid, it says that let this book of the Lord

  157. not depart from your mouth, but meditate on a day and night, for

  158. in it you will prosper. You get it, and you will have good

  159. success. And so keeping God's word and obeying God's word is what shows us

  160. that we truly love God. Amen. And so now we've come to understand

  161. how we can have the mind of Christ by imitating Christ, Jesus and learning

  162. from him. We also have come to understand that we need to walk like

  163. him. First Joint, Chapter one, verse five. The Bible says that

  164. if we walk in the light as He is in the light, then we

  165. will fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus will cleanse us from

  166. all our sins. And so one other way that you can have the mind

  167. of Christ is to have fellowship with one another, because Jesus had fellowship with

  168. one another. All right, And so let me give you quickly seven points

  169. on how you can walk with the mind of Christ. How you can walk

  170. with the mind of Christ before we bring our service to a close shortly.

  171. Number one, Walk as he walked in obedience and dependence on the Father.

  172. Walk as he walked in dependence and obedience to the Father. The Bible says

  173. in the Book of Proverb that in all your ways acknowledge, and he says

  174. that trust. Do not trust on your own understanding, But in all your

  175. ways acknowledge God, and He will direct your path. So Jesus had full

  176. dependence on God. He walked depending solely on God. The Scripture reference with

  177. that his first joint of the two verse six. We are not going to

  178. read that, but just write that down so you can refer to it.

  179. So Number one, walk as Jesus walked in full dependence and obedience on the

  180. Father. Number two, love the brethren, Love your neighbor, first Joint,

  181. Chapter two, verse ten, and First John chapter three, verse fourteen

  182. to seventeen. Love the brethren, have love. Jesus had love. Jesus

  183. was compassionate towards the brethren. Jesus showed love. So in order to walk

  184. like him and to have his mind, it requires that we love the brethren.

  185. Number three, continue in what you have heard. Continue in what you

  186. have heard, first joint of the two verse twenty four. So let's read

  187. that first joint of the two verse twenty four. Continue in what you have

  188. heard First John, two twenty four. So you must remain faithful to what

  189. you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain

  190. in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. Amen. Amen. And

  191. so continue in what you have heard. And so I was telling those in

  192. service yes on Sunday that if you've been in the youth church for at least

  193. three months, or even two months, or even one month, you should

  194. know a theme that you know you've heard something about. Because our services have

  195. run based on themes and things like the Kingdom of God, the righteousness of

  196. God, duality. You know, Anakaso athers all those themes on things that

  197. pertains the kingdom of God and the Word of God. So you need to

  198. continue in what you have heard, all right, So number four remain in

  199. the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Remain in the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

  200. If you're writing notes and you are not, I'm going to first,

  201. don't worry. I'll shed the notes on the platform right after, so you

  202. can refer to it. Number four remain in the anointing of the Spirit.

  203. Scripture reference first joint of two, verse twenty seven and Efficients chapter four,

  204. verse thirty. Then we look at number five. Number five is God yourself

  205. from sin? God yourself from sin? How can you guard yourself from sin

  206. by hiding God's word in your heart? David wrote that your words have I

  207. hidden in my heart so that I do not sin against you. So study

  208. God's word and hide God's word in your heart so that it's not easy to

  209. sin. But God yourself from sin. So first joint of the three,

  210. verse six and Genesis chapter twenty nine, verse twelve. Our references for that

  211. point. So God yourself from all sin. Number six way to walk in

  212. the mind of Christ is do not love the world first joint of two,

  213. verse fifteen. The Bible says that if you love the world, then the

  214. love of the Father is not in you. The world here is not the

  215. physical world, but is the patterns of this world, the way of live.

  216. There is a prescribed way of living in this world which is ungodly and

  217. is against everything else that God stands for. And so if as a child

  218. of God, you love those things, then the Bible says that then the

  219. love of the Father is not in you. So do not love the world.

  220. Amen. And number seven cleanse yourselves from sin. Second Corinthians, chapter

  221. seven, verse one and Psalm one thirty nine, verse twenty three to twenty

  222. four, Someone thirty nine, verse twenty three to twenty four and Second Corinthians,

  223. Chapter seven, verse one. The Bible says that God has made a

  224. way of escape for us. He says that if we can come boldly to

  225. Him and confess our sins to him, then He is faithful and just to

  226. forgive us. It is in the nature of man to sin and to make

  227. mistakes. So if you happen to make a mistake, don't turn your back

  228. on God, but still come back to God and cleanse yourself from your sin

  229. by confessing your sin to God, and God himself, who is faithful and

  230. just, will always forgive your sin. Amen. And so finally, as

  231. a scripture for prayer, you can take down Psalm forty three, verse three,

  232. and the writer writes, send your light and your truth, let them

  233. lead me, and let them bring me to your holy hell and to your

  234. dwelling Amen. So that we can walk in the path that Christ Jesus has

  235. set for us, so that we can be everything that Christ Jesus wants us

  236. to be. That ultimately we can have the mind of Christ, which is

  237. a sound mind that God gives to his children in Jesus' precious name. Amen.

  238. Amen, Amen. And so we have two minutes before we end our

  239. session for today. So we just take two questions if they are If there's

  240. anyone with a question, you can just show by hand, and then we'll

  241. take your question and then we can answer by God's grace to give you some

  242. insight any question or if you've got any feather understanding of all that I've thought,

  243. I've just taught you guys, and you know you have a perspective to

  244. it which you think can benefit your friends. You want to share it as

  245. well. You are free to share it as well. So question time.

  246. Okay, we have one more minute, all right. So since I'm not

  247. seeing any hands, then it me is that there are no questions. I

  248. believe strongly that God has helped you to understand the message on the mind of

  249. Christ tonight, and that there is no doubt in your mind when it comes

  250. to the mind of Christ and the sound Man. Amen. And so Father,

  251. we give you thanks for how far you've brought us. We bless your

  252. name and we give you praise. We give your glory for your word that

  253. has come. We thank you for the light of your word that has entered

  254. our hearts. We thank you for understanding that has entered our minds. We

  255. pray the Lord you perfect everything concerning us in the name of Jesus, that

  256. when your son appears in the clouds of glory, will be found blameless and

  257. will be ready to meet him in the clouds of glory. We give you

  258. thanks and we give you all praise in Jesus precious name. Let her believe

  259. I say and Amen. Amen, Amen, Amen, So God bless you

  260. richly for joining us, and a special thank you to Tristan and his friend

  261. for joining us all the way from school. My prayer for you is that

  262. as you are seeking God diligently and you are desiring to fellowship with the brethren,

  263. that may God give you a sound mind. May He cause you all

  264. to excel in all your endeavors, and may He set you up as pickings

  265. and lights that when people have problems and when people need knowledge, when people

  266. need consoles, when people need advice and counsel, you'll be the ones that

  267. people come to for help. In Jesus' precious name. Amen to God,

  268. bless you for joining us tonight. Let's take a few announcements from Shepherd A.

  269. D and then we'll end that service for tonight. Okay, thank you

  270. Rev. So much for such a wonderful word. Okay, so let's remember

  271. that we have our Saturday prayer meetings from eight pm to nine pm. Do

  272. well to join in and pray for the youth church and also for yourself.

  273. Amen. Let's remember that on Sundays, our first service starts at seven am

  274. and then our second service starts at ten am, see you during these meetings,

  275. Samen. Amen, thank you so much for the announcements. Amen.

  276. And if you have a testimony, God shows you kindness, God shows you

  277. great mercy your family, and you want to testify about God. We encourage

  278. you greatly that when you come to church join those given testimonies to thank God,

  279. because having testimonies is a sign that you're overcoming trials and temptations, you're

  280. overcoming the enemy. According to Romans Revelations, Chapter twelve is eleven says that

  281. Bible says that and they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by

  282. the word of their testimony. The testimony God has given us is that he

  283. who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son

  284. doesn't have life. So if you have the Son of God, then testimonies

  285. will be your daily routine. Amen. And so we encourage you or to

  286. testify in this year the keys that are working with our keys of humility,

  287. keys of thanksgiving, and keys of sacrifice. And so please do join us

  288. for service on Sunday. We'll look forward to seeing you. Amen. Let's

  289. share God's goodness together while we bring our meeting to a close. Tonight.

  290. Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God the Holy Spirit be

  291. with us now forever more. Amen. With your right hand on your head,

  292. declare you annoying my head? With fresh oil cup runs over? Surely

  293. God's goodness and mercy shall follow us all the days of our lives, and

  294. we shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever and ever. Amen.

  295. Amen. Just say to yourself, I'm blessed and I can never be cursed

  296. in Jesus' name. Blessed and I can never because she's ustening. Heymen,

  297. good night everyone, good night, good night, good night, good night

  298. everybody. Good night.
