Honouring Relationships Sun 5th May 2024

How many of you know that testifying it's also a form of worship what I

see. So when we testify, we tell the world the wonderful things that

God has done for us, and it's a sign of worship and surrender and

acknowledging that you could not have gotten to where you were without. Amen.

So still in the space of worship, I want to advise any of us

to have a powerful testimony to share about the wonderful things that God has done

in your life, how God has showed up for you this week. If

there's anybody over here like that, I want to give you the opportunity to

found God and to encourage the house with your testimony. Amen. Or has

God been good? Has God been good to us this week? All right,

then let's give him the glory. Let's give him that and let's testify

of the amazing things that He's done for us. A Amen. We have

for the whole of this month, and we are going to be talking about

honoring. Hallelujah, honoring, Amen, honoring, hallelujah. So the whole

of this man's honoring is a very big topic. So we are going to

be touching different areas as the Lord leads us. Hallelujah. Amen. I

am privileged to be standing before you to bring the word of the Lord to

all of you. Amen. It's a great privilege. Hallelujah. Amen.

Wow, you're all looking wonderful. Man, Thank you so much, hallelujah.

At least I have one fancy man, about from my wife. I

thank you for appreciating me. Amen. Hallelujah. All right, So

this man we are looking at honoring, honoring. Amen. So today's topic,

we're going to be looking at honoring relationships. Hallelujah. Honoring relationships,

hallelujah. And we'll be looking at certain areas. We'll be going through that

relationship with God, the relationship with Jesus, the relationship with your parents,

the relationship with your pastors in your life. So we're going to look at

this as the Lord leads us. A man who're touching on it briefly,

is in everyone. So honoring relationship is not just a word or a force

been that has been bound to you, or a moral obligation a man that

you have to fulfill. But it's a spiritual commandment. It's a spiritual commandment

for you to honor a man. Hallelujah. Kind of let us go to

Johnt chapter five twenty three. John chapter five twenty three. Before we go

to John chapter five twenty three, let me just give you first timoity,

if you're called honorable, it means you do honorable things. There are some

people who are called honorable, but the things they do are not honorable.

Hallelujah. So the title honorable, there's not just a word that has been

placed on you. So when you are honorable, you are called honorable.

About the honorables we have our EMPs, all right. So some are honorable,

they do honorable things, and some are called honorable, but the way

the things they do are not honorable. But I know that as God is

lifting all of us up from here, some of you will become EMPs,

that you will fight for your communities. But your honorability will be honorable.

You'll be good, honest, hallelujah. Then why do not just be upon

you by your your honor will speak for you a man. Yeah, that

also honor the son, just as the honor of the father. He who

does not honor the son does not honor the father who sent him a man.

Tell you anybody, if you honor God, God will also honor you.

Amen. He says, for those who honor me, I will honor,

and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed. It is my prayer

when that breath is taken away, you will find time as you can breathing.

take your Bible again, it will be dangerous. Your bibles will be somewhere

else. It's on Sunday. Money that you start looking for How many of

you have been there before? How many of you I've been there before,

like after Sunday, like you've been there. Oh, we have good in

the house. Well, I'll put your hands together for them. At least

we have good Christians in the house. Amen. Yeah, Mite, I've

honored God to make sure certain things are done. Hallelujah. Like we have

praying for our project to be completed. Amen, we need more funds to

finish our building. Amen, our next gen building. Hallelujah. Yeah.

Honor God with the projects. Hallelujah. Amen. Honor God with that.

So when you look around you are as a there is a need for something

in the House of God. Nobody has to even tell you. You can

honor say, Ah, past this, I think I can do this.

It's a project. You are honored for the service for the church to look

nice a man and God will never forget it because you are You've honored Him

in that area as well. Hallelujah. Honor God with your substance for missions

a man. Some of you some of you have to honor God. Your

substance is still your money to honor, so that the gospel can even go

feather. Hallelujah. The Gospel can also go feather with your substance. You

can go into a covenant with the Lord that every month you will save ten

in the word of the Lord. Believe honor God in faith. For the

Bible said without faith, it is impossible to please God. If you don't

have faith in God, you can't please You are not pleasing to him.

What are some of the things that are not pleasing? And you mentioned some

things that are not pleasing, like what lying? It's not pleasing? What

else? What else that I'm not pleasing things? Where he says, ah,

yeah, it's not pleasing. That's how you are when you don't have

faith. I said, ah, yes, it is not pleasing to God

if you don't have faith in him. The things that you say, say,

follow Christ. So if the person is not following, then the scripture is

not being fulfilled. Hallelujah. A man, So you are not under obligation

to follow. As long as you are following Jesus, then you must follow

and receive them by the word of the Lord. Hallelujah. A man.

Or put your hands together for the Lord. And if you despise the person

you are despising Jesus. Once you despise the person despising Jesus. Amen.

Yeah. Now, if you honor believe us around you, you are also

wondering Jesus, because once you receive each other, it is Jesus we are

honoring. It is Jesus. A man. All right, let's quickly go

honoring parents and third point, honoring parents. Honoring parents, honoring parents,

a very important thing. Amen. So the way you treat your father,

you treat treat your mother, or you treat any guardian in your life.

It's like seeds that we sow, they grow. And this is the only

commandment with the promise that gives you life, that gives you long life,

that gives you eternal life. So honor your parents. Honor your father,

honor your mother. It's a very important aspect as believers. Some of you

say, are you cry? You are lie Christians, see how you're talking.

So if from today, it is my prayer that if you have not

honored your parents, work well enough that from today it will begin to change

a man, as it will begin to change from today, that your relationship

with your parents will begin to change and you begin to honor them and fulfill

the word of the Lord over your life as a believer, a man,

We only talk about the bishops, but sometimes their wives are not seen.

But once you honor the husband the pastor, you mustpand other wives as

well. It's an important aspect. You can't say, oh is the pastor

I like by their wife? I don't like. No, not an honor.

It is not an honor. It said dishonor. The Bible said that

two so are the one. So once you are honoring the pastor, you

must honor the wife. You must another hallelujah, A man put their hands

together for the Lord. Yeah. So, as I'm bringing this sermon to

a close, as my time is that, I want you to know the

honoring gives life to us. Honoring brings blessing in a special way. Honoring

God has its own blessing. Honoring Jesus has its own blessing. Honoring your

parents has its own blessing. See, your parent might not be a Christian

or a believer, but you are. But you might honor them. You

must honor them. In fact, your parents could be sending you to buy

them jobs, but honor them. It's not what they do and what the

word of the Lord is telling us to do. Your parents may be drinking

and they will send you to go and buy thoughts. Go and buy it,

and come you are another one drinking it. But still honor them.

Honor them, Honor them, because the blessing would not be for them is

for you. Once you're honoring them. It is for you, not for

them. Hallelujah. The rest of the thing, it is between them and

God. If they're not clear what they are supposed to do, hallelujah.

It is between them and God. But for you do your parts as a

child of God. It says honor your father and your mother, that it

may be well with you a man, and you together for the Lord
