-

-
Jesus shouted a very loud Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, oh amen.
-
Wow, what a beautiful place to be.
-
This morning, John chapter eight and verse thirty one to
-
thirty two in the amplified version, can you help me
-
or for the life of Reverend f And then also
-
and then also this morning we have worshiping with us.
-
Reverend it do a jay. Thank God for his life.
-
Also, thank God for his life.
-
Also he maybe see that heavily places John eight, that
-
he won John eight thirty one and past the prince,
-
get a microphone. Where is Gabriel? Okay, what Timothy? Get
-
a microphone and go to go to two different go
-
to two different areas. Amen. No, no, no, this is
-
not an amen. I said, Amen. Uh huh, this is
-
an amen, all right, So the Bible says, so Jesus
-
was saying to the Jews who believed him, if you
-
abide in my word, continually obeying my teachings, and living
-
in accordance with them, then you are truly my disciples,
-
and you will know the truth regarding salvation, and the
-
truth will set you free from the penalty of sin.
-
Father.
-
We pray this morning that your word bring forth illumination,
-
that it takes us from where we are to where
-
we belong. And the church shouted and said two week
-
of an amen. Amen. So I want to ask this
-
question before I start preaching, And who was Jesus speaking to?
-
Who was Jesus speaking to? And I want those of
-
you that have an answer to raise your hand. Who
-
was Jesus speaking to? If you have an answer, please
-
raise your hand or else Unfortunately I'll have to just
-
pick out of the corners of my eye. I'll have
-
to just pick somebody. So please, if you have an answer,
-
raise your hand. Who has an answer? Who has an answer? Overway? Okay?
-
Stand? No, please stand the Jews? You were speaking to
-
the Jews? Okay?
-
What kind of Jews was Jesus speaking to? Pastimathy, there's
-
an answer behind.
-
You speaking to those that I have believed in him,
-
speaking to those that have believed in him? All right,
-
thank you so much.
-
So Jesus was speaking number one to the Jews, and
-
he was speaking to those who have believed in him. So,
-
in other words, those that have given their lives to
-
Christ and they are born again. Ask your neighbor, have
-
you given your life to Christ? And are you born again?
-
Do you understand?
-
So?
-
The first point you must understand is that the scripture
-
is referring to those who believe it's not referring to unbelievers,
-
is speaking to those who believe. Number two is that,
-
in other words, born again Christians. So these were born
-
again Christians, born again Christians. Then number three and their
-
most important part here is the Bible says. The Bible says,
-
if you abide in my word, continually obeying my teachings,
-
and living in accordance with them, then you are truly
-
my disciples. Then you are truly my disciples. So here
-
there's a distinction between a Christian and a disciple. Look
-
at your neighbor and tell them. It's one thing to
-
be a Christian. It's another thing to be a disciple.
-
Amen. Amen, How many of you know that?
-
How many of you didn't know that there's a difference
-
between being a Christian disciple? Raise your hand. How many
-
of you didn't know? You thought it was all the
-
same when we are Christians, we are Christians. How many
-
of you thought that, wave at me? How many of
-
you thought that? A lot of you that's what you think. Yeah,
-
but you're too shy to wave your hands. You want
-
to make it look like you know, Joe and pray. Yeah,
-
you want to you want to impress us. Look at
-
and say, you're not impressing anybody. The more knowledge, the
-
more knowledge you know, Oh you please visit.
-
I'm done. The more knowledge you know.
-
And the more information you acquire, the the more intelligence
-
you become, and the more knowledgeable you become.
-
Amen, I said, Amen, all right, Amen.
-
Number three, what makes you a disciple is continually obeying
-
teachings and living in accordance with them. That's what makes
-
you a disciple. That is what makes you a disciple. Now,
-
the definition of a Christian in biblical sense is a
-
Christian is someone who identifies as a follower of Jesus Christ.
-
A Christian is someone who identifies as a follower of
-
Jesus Christ.
-
Amen.
-
And a disciple is a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ.
-
Say a dedicated follower, No, say it like you mean,
-
say a dedicated follower.
-
Amen.
-
So there is a just difference. Amen. You have to
-
understand that it's not enough to believe and are you here?
-
Ask your neighbor are you here? Okay, it is not
-
enough to believe and be born again. You must go
-
on and become a disciple. Look at a neighbor and
-
tell them, go on and become a disciple. Say it
-
one more time, say go on and become a disciple. Now,
-
something very important I forgot to mention, which I must
-
stop and mention right now, And that is why I
-
let the prayer. We prayed and all that last night,
-
our Father, his Eminence called me amongst other bishops and
-
asked us to come. And when we went to meet him,
-
he was talking very prophetically and spiritually on particular subjects,
-
and he was saying that we are living in a
-
very dangerous time and the need for spirituality is very important.
-
The need for spirituality is very very important. And based
-
on that, our Father has declared a seventy two our
-
emergency prayer. Your clap should be better, your clab should
-
be better. He has declared a seventy to our emergency
-
prayer starting on Wednesday, continuing on Thursday, and then on Friday,
-
there's an all night which will we will all be
-
joining in the Prayer Cathedral for their all nights?
-
Yes, we will all be joining at the Prayer Cathedral
-
for the all night. Amen.
-
So do you understand Wednesday to Friday, Look at neighbor
-
and say Wednesday to Friday. Look at neighbor and say
-
Wednesday to Friday. You cant neighbor and tell them firsting
-
and prayer benefits you, not the other person. Say it's
-
one more time. Amen. I was telling somebody last night
-
who called me or sent me a message and was
-
very angry at a pastor, telling me what the pastor
-
had said to them and everything. And I was telling
-
the person that what you are doing is you are
-
drinking poison and expecting somebody else to die. You cannot
-
drink poison and expect the person you are angry with
-
to die. You will die. And that is what anguys.
-
It's a rage of emotions. And please listen to me.
-
When you are angry. Try not to speak when you
-
are angry, Try not to speak, amen.
-
And also practice another thing that within fifteen minutes of
-
you being angry, you find a place for that anger
-
to go, or you command that anger to go to
-
the place of divine appointments, because if it is with you,
-
it will not help you. Look at neighbor and tell
-
them it will not help you. A lot of bad
-
decisions are taken when we are angry. Now, being a disciple,
-
the Bible says, if you continue in my word, then
-
it moves on to say that if you continue in
-
my word. The truth will free you from the things
-
that keep you from being a good disciple.
-
Now please understand.
-
Number three, you can be a believer and still not
-
be a good disciple because you are living anyhow. Look
-
at your neighbor and say, living anyhow. So it's important
-
that you don't just live on anyhow type of life.
-
Number four, the way you work with God is very important.
-
The Bible says continually obeying. This means that it's not
-
based on convenience or when you feel like it. Look
-
at your neighbor and say, it's not based on convenience,
-
and it's not based on what you feel like. It's
-
continually obeying. That means when you feel like it, when
-
you don't feel like it, you must continually obey because
-
you know that there's a price at the end of
-
the day that you are trying to achieve, and you
-
must get to look at never I say there's a price,
-
there's a price. There's a price, all right. Number five,
-
some people know how to behave as Christians. In other words,
-
the outward behavior what people see, but behind closed doors
-
they have another personality or behavior. Look at never say
-
another personality or behavior so some people know how to
-
work as Christians. Some people know how to talk as Christians.
-
You know the Christian you have Christian oratory skills. You
-
know what to say, Oh, my dear brother, my dear sister, beloved,
-
one chosen, one, mighty man, all those wonderful things you
-
can say. You see a person, and all you can
-
say is that, oh, you are blessed, You are blessed,
-
You are blessed, you are blessed. You see somebody, Oh,
-
you can tell them, is it is working? Not saying
-
that people who say it is working are not disciples
-
or are not Christians. But I'm saying that a lot
-
of time people have mastered how to look like Christians,
-
but they are not really Christians. Do you understand how
-
many of you have heard somebody tell another person that
-
you are you a Christian at all?
-
How many times have you heard that? Yeah? And it's
-
because it's because the people, the people who.
-
Call themselves Christians are not living a life of Christianity,
-
do you understand. And it's by what they do, by
-
what they profess, and by the way they act. Look
-
at neighbor and tell them what they do, say what
-
they do? What did I say after what they do,
-
what they profess, what they do, what they profess, and.
-
What they act.
-
Now, I'm the preacher preaching to you and I'm taking notes.
-
So if you are not taking notes, then there's a
-
big problem. There's a very big problem. So the problem
-
is that people know how to like right now when
-
we're all worshiping, people know how to raise their hands
-
like their Christians. They they they yeah, some people can
-
even cry. Some people some people can even cry. Some
-
people can even cry. Do you understand?
-
So people know how to talk.
-
Like a Christian, work like a Christian, act like a Christian.
-
But I'm not living by the word of God. But
-
are not living by the word of God? Do you understand?
-
You have to transition from being an ordinary day Christian
-
to being a disciple. Looking eye and say you have
-
to be a disciple. Number two, you have accepted Jesus
-
Christ and you are born again, but you are not
-
working as a disciple. You have accepted Jesus Christ, you
-
are born again, you are not working as a disciple.
-
Number three.
-
The way you can go on to become a disciple,
-
as it says in John A thirty one thirty two,
-
is that the Bible says, if you continue in my word. Now,
-
what does continue mean? Continue means to practice day in
-
and day out. Looking eby and say, practice day in.
-
And day out.
-
Number four, How you and I, How you and I
-
respond to the word of God is what will move
-
us from believers to disciples. How you and I respond
-
to the word of God is what will move us
-
from believer us to disciples. How many of you want
-
to become a disciple? You are tired of being an
-
ordinary Christian? You want to become a disciple. Just wave
-
at me, Just wave at me. You want to become
-
a disciple. For many of you that want to become
-
a disciple? Made this happen for you in Jesus name.
-
And it won't just happen for you based on prayer.
-
It happened for you based on how you behave and
-
how you obey the word of God, and how you
-
comport yourself. Amen. Then the next thing the Bible says.
-
The next thing the Bible says is you shall know
-
the truth, and the truth shall set you free from
-
the things that prevent you from becoming a disciple. And
-
not just a disciple, but a good one. Do you
-
understand so you must understand in Matthew, in Marthew twenty
-
is it twenty two? I believe it's Matthew twenty two.
-
Yes. In Matthew twenty two and verse twenty nine.
-
The Bible says, ye air, because you know not the
-
scriptures nor the power of God. Yeer, because you know
-
not the scriptures nor the power of God. Now please
-
understand this. You can never know the power of God
-
if you don't know the scriptures. Because the script chess
-
demonstrates the power of God. It is through the scriptures
-
that you get knowledge of the power of God. So
-
if you want to experience the power of God in
-
your life, you must know the scriptures. Look at your
-
neighbor and say you must know the scriptures. Say like
-
you mean, say you must know the scriptures. Turn with
-
me to James, chapter two and verse nineteen, and I
-
give you one or two points, and I'm done preaching
-
for this morning. James after two and verse nineteen amplified,
-
the Bible says, you believe that God is one, you
-
do well, So do the demons believe and shudder in
-
terror and horror, such as makes a man's hair stand
-
on end and contact the surface of his skin.
-
How many of you, when you think about Jesus are
-
you terrified?
-
How many of you? How many of you, when you
-
think about him, you are terrified? How many of you,
-
when you think about him you stand in horror? How
-
many of you? No, you are not terrified. You don't
-
stand in horror. You don't even fear God on that level.
-
The Bible says, the demons they stand in terror and horror.
-
Do you know what that means? Do you know what
-
that means?
-
It means that they understand who Jesus is. They fear him,
-
they respect him, they give him his adoration and his praise,
-
and they know who he is.
-
Do you understand?
-
That's why when Jesus went to the land of the
-
Gatherines to cast out the demon, they said, Master, have
-
you come to cast us out before our time? Because
-
they know who he is and they know the power
-
he carries. But guess what, as much as they know
-
who Jesus is and the power that Jesus carries, they
-
are not Christians.
-
Do you understand?
-
So just because you are a Christian and you've given
-
your life to Christ, you believe in him and you
-
are born again, it doesn't end there.
-
You must leave that place and become a disciple.
-
Wow, how many of you tell this morning you didn't
-
know that there's a difference between a Christian and a disciple.
-
Wave at me, Wave at me. You didn't know that
-
there was a difference. Wave at me. You didn't know
-
there was a difference. Yes, there's a there's a there's
-
a big difference.
-
And when the Bible says, when the Bible says, well done,
-
my good and faithful servant, it's not referring to Christian
-
and it's referring to disciples. It's not referring to Christians.
-
It's referring to disciples. Amen. I was going to give
-
you one or two other points, but I won't do
-
it this morning. I will I will save it for
-
next week. So please understand that this is the series
-
I've begun, the series on discipleship.
-
And and if you're clapping, clapwell, and will be going
-
on till I feel in my spirit.
-
That one fully understands and appreciates the doctrine of discipleship
-
and one becomes a disciple. Look at neighbor and see,
-
you must become a disciple. Say it like you mean
-
they say you must become a disciple. Can you say
-
it one more time? Say you must become a disciple now.
-
One of one of the signs, one of the signs
-
that Jesus is coming soon is world War three.
-
One of the signs that Jesus is coming soon is
-
world War three. And this thing that.
-
They through missiles and it hits the Israeli airports, it's
-
not a good thing. The Israeli airport has the highest
-
level of security in the world. And one of the
-
reasons why they have that is because they believe that terrorists,
-
when I say terrorists untied to Israel, are going to
-
enter a plane and explode the plane and then have
-
pieces of dead bodies all over the city of Jerusalem.
-
That is one of their strongest fears. And so that's
-
why their security is so tight. The first, the first ever,
-
and this is many many, many many years ago, about
-
ten years ago, the first ever airport I went to
-
and they showed me on a screen, not in an
-
X ray image, but in Claire's day as a picture.
-
What was in my bag was the Israeli I've forgotten
-
the name of it. Oh, the name just just left me.
-
Ben Ben Yes Ben Gurion International airport.
-
Yes, just left me. They are they are very they
-
are very very very very strict, very very strict, and
-
will be tiede you.
-
If you go to a place like the United Arab
-
Emirates or the Middle East and then fly from there
-
to to Israel, you you stay at immigration for a
-
long time.
-
Yeah.
-
So if you're ever connecting to to Israel, please don't
-
use Emirates. It's not good unless you hide you, and
-
even they won't use Emorates. But unless you hide you
-
and Israelites with an Israeli passport and you can speak
-
the language, try try to avoid that route.
-
I know many people. I know many people who have
-
been retained to Ghana for doing that.
-
Amen, please stretch forward your right hand towards the author.
-
Say in the name of Jesus, say Father, I repent
-
of my sins. Say Father, I declare that I'm a sinner.
-
From today, I want to follow you. I want to
-
be led by you. I want to be used by you.
-
In Jesus' name, Take my name out of the book
-
of Death and place it in the Lamb's Book of life. Father,
-
use me, guide me. Take me from a place of
-
being an ordinary Christian to a disciple.
-
In Jesus' name. Amen.
-
Well, if you pray that prayer and believed it, you
-
are now born again. Life has been transformed and you
-
are now a Christian. But it's important to move from
-
just being a Christian to being a disciple.
-
Amen,
