Let us pray, Father God, we thank you for the
-
gift of life, Holy Spirit, Come give us unction, clarity
-
of mind, precision of the tongue, so that you people
-
will be edified in the mighty name of Jesus the Christ.
-
We have prayed, Amen, you may be seated.
-
So we've been talking about discipleship, discipleship, discipleship the last
-
couple of weeks. Our bishops started us up with first
-
John No John eight thirty one and thirty two.
-
John Chapter eight thirty one and thirty two, and.
-
The scripture says Jesus said to the Jews who believed
-
in him, turned to your name and said, do you
-
believe in him?
-
So it's not just to the Jews, it's to us
-
as well.
-
If you believe in him, anyone who believes in him,
-
if you abide, if you abide, the key word being abide,
-
if you abide in my word, you are true, truly
-
my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the
-
truth will set you free. That is the foundational scripture
-
we've been using. Yes, there are other scriptures, but this
-
is what bishops started us with. And we have even
-
gone on from there to really delve deep into discipleship
-
and what it means to be a disciple.
-
So Jesus said to.
-
Those Jews who had believed in him, if you abide
-
in my word, hold fast to my teachings, and live
-
in accordance with them, living in accordance.
-
Obeying, obeying his word.
-
If you abide in his word and you live in
-
accordance with his teachings, you are truly my disciples thirty two.
-
And you will know the truth, and the truth will
-
set you free. Thank God for his word, a meth
-
word of God is blessed. So the word abide means
-
to continue believing what he has said and walking in
-
obedience to what he has said. It tells us that
-
the walk of discipleship requires commitment, commitment. If you abide,
-
if you continue. It is not sometimey, it's not when
-
you feel like it. It's not when it's convenient, but
-
that it is a consistent walk. It is a consistent
-
approach perspective to abide, to continue believing what he has said,
-
and to walk in obedience to what he has said.
-
It's not one or the other. It's both.
-
You continue believing and you continue walking in obedience too.
-
Amen.
-
We also we spoke that if you are a disciple,
-
your assignment is to go out there and win souls.
-
If we are everybody here believes in Jesus Christ, then
-
we are not just Christians, which is a term that
-
is loosely used these days for people who follow Christ,
-
who teach, who follow the teachings or believe in the
-
teachings of Christ. But you must graduate to discipleship, which
-
means you continue, you abide in it, and that is
-
what makes you truly a believer, a disciple of Christ.
-
So in doing that you translocate, if you will, you
-
graduate from just being a Christian, which is anyone who
-
calls the name of Christ these days, into becoming a disciple.
-
But the job of discipleship you to go out there
-
and to minister. It is not just the job of
-
the pastor or the bishop, the overseer. It is each
-
and everyone who is called who now believes, who is
-
abiding in his word and obeying what he has said.
-
Don't your neighbor and say, if you're a disciple, then
-
your assignment is to go out there and win souls,
-
to witness to others so they can come into the kingdom.
-
Amen.
-
So if you abide in my word, you are truly
-
my disciples. So the focus today is on some of
-
the principles that are inherent or required in discipleship. We've
-
already talked about the meaning of the word abide, which
-
means to continue believing what Jesus said and to walk
-
in obedience. But it requires commitment as well, to stick
-
to his ways, to stay in his word, which brings
-
illumination and revelation. See, Jesus Christ is the word and
-
the only way you can be delivered being set free.
-
What are you being set free from? From sin and
-
the bondage of sin? See, it is he alone that
-
has the power and the authority to deliver you from sin.
-
He died for your sake to bring you salvation. He
-
paid the price, so you belong to him, and it
-
is he who can deliver you from sin. But Jesus
-
Christ is the Word. In the beginning was and the words,
-
and the word was okay. And Jesus Christ says, if
-
you see me, you've seen the Father. I and my
-
Father are one. We believe in the Tryan God, God,
-
the Father, God, the Son God, the Holy Spirit. So
-
Jesus Christ is God. But it is he that can
-
deliver you from it. So he is saying that if
-
you abide in my word, if you abide in me, okay,
-
and you continue believing what I have said, and you
-
walk in obedience to what I've said, then you will
-
be set free. The only way to be set free
-
from the entanglement of sin, the bondage.
-
Of sin, is if you.
-
Believe in Jesus Christ and you walk in discipleship, if
-
you obey what he said. It's not enough to just
-
hear the word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the
-
word of God. But faith without works is dead. So
-
once you hear the word, you must act on the word,
-
and you must obey the word, live by the word.
-
And he's saying that when you've heard it, and if
-
you're really walking in obedience, then what I'm telling you
-
is for you to go out there, if you are
-
really my disciple, to go out there and minister witness
-
to others so that they can also be delivered.
-
Amen.
-
So to stay in his word brings illumination and revelation.
-
His word reveals the truth, which is Jesus. Jesus is
-
the truth. He doesn't have the truth. He is the truth,
-
which Jesus says, will set you free. It is the
-
Truth that says you free. It is Jesus, in other words,
-
that sets you free. Amen commitment to the process of
-
undergoing a total personal transform that is one of the
-
signs of discipleship. It begins with you accepting Christ. That
-
is the beginning of your total transformation. It begins with repentance,
-
turning away from sin. But in all of this you
-
need the Holy Spirit. It is he that's going to
-
empower you because you cannot save yourself. Paul says, Look,
-
I know what is right, and I always want to
-
do what is right. But even when I go to
-
do what is right, sin is right there. Because there's
-
always a battle between the flesh and the spirit. The
-
flesh normally signs with your soul, your emotions, your intellect,
-
all of that stuff. But God doesn't deal with your flesh.
-
He has no dealings with your flesh. It is your spirit,
-
the spirit that He put in you. That is what
-
bears witness. That is why the right order is Spirit
-
over your mind or your flesh or your soul, not
-
the other way around. Because the flesh profiteth nothing. Nothing
-
good can come from the flesh, but The right alignment
-
is for your spirit to be inligned with what God says.
-
To be a disciple, abide in Him and obey not
-
one or the other is not a choice, it is
-
both together.
-
Amen. So then.
-
Undergoing a total personal transformation, which comes by abiding in
-
the world, having faith in his word, and aligning.
-
With the will of God.
-
So total transformation, transformation in your values, your character, your mindset,
-
your thought patterns, behavior, believes to become more like Christ.
-
See where you take on the mind of Christ, you
-
start to do things the way Christ would.
-
You start to see things from Christ's perspective.
-
And even as you go along, you ask, okay, when
-
you encounter situations, what would Jesus do?
-
How would he handle this?
-
Because if you are his, then you're in him and
-
you're abiding in him, and you're walking in obedience to
-
his word, then you would want to take on his personality,
-
his characteristics, and to become more christ Like. That is
-
the evidence that you are a disciple. It is not
-
when you feel like it or when it's convenient, Amen,
-
which he reveals to us in and through his word. See,
-
the only place you're going to find your true identity
-
is in the word.
-
Papa told us last week.
-
When the manufacturers make a car, they put a manual
-
in there so that when you buy the car and
-
you the manual, you get the best use of card.
-
So when the light comes on on your dashboard and
-
it's a picture of the engine, you know there's an
-
issue there. If the picture of the gas pump lights up,
-
it means you're about to run out. If the little
-
circle with the exclamation mark comes there, you know there's
-
a problem with your tire. So if you do not
-
read the manual, you do not get the best use
-
of the vehicle because you don't know what the science mean.
-
Same thing with you. The manual of the person who
-
made you is the Bible. He has given you the
-
manual that you must read so that you aware of
-
your identity, what you're entitled to, and whatever situation you
-
face in life. The answers for your life to your
-
life are in the Bible. But you don't read the Bible.
-
You want to come to church week after week and
-
hear what the preacher says and hope that it will
-
last you the week. But how about you're setting yourself
-
up to fail because the preacher can be wrong. I've
-
made an error once before, and thank God for a
-
bishop who corrected my doctrine and checked it. You should
-
always amen, you've got praise. You should always That's the
-
thing about decided bullshit. Always be open to correction, because
-
you're supposed to be improving. You're supposed to be pressing
-
toward the mark. We're all working towards perfection. No man
-
is perfect yet when Christ comes, you perfect us. But
-
we're all marching to You're supposed to be marching towards
-
the mark of perfection. And how are you going to
-
do that? By reading you matter and let you know
-
who you are, your identity, who you are, who you
-
belong to, who paid the price for what you're entitled to.
-
You don't even understand the power that you have. Jesus
-
is telling us in the word that life and death
-
is in the power of the tongue, that you can
-
decree a thing and it shall be established. So if
-
you really understood, or if you really took heed of
-
what is in the manner, you wouldn't always be running
-
to Jesus Christ for.
-
Every little thing.
-
Because as I've given you power to deal with this,
-
open up your mouth.
-
You will have what you say.
-
That's why he says be careful because whatever you say,
-
you're right. You're going to get what you say. You
-
decree a thing, it shall be established. If you say, oh,
-
I'm going to fail my exams, you shall surely fail.
-
If you say, oh, the doctor says I've got cancer,
-
oh I'm going to die, Yes, you will die because
-
you spoke the Word, and.
-
The Word has a spirit life in it.
-
So if you abide in his word, if you abide
-
in him, you can avoid all the troubles that you encounter.
-
There's an answer to every situation in your life in
-
the Bible. Amen, turn to your neighbor and tell him
-
get into your manual. Tell him read the Bible. Study
-
the Bible. Yeah, so, don't just read it like a
-
story and put it down. Study it and ask the
-
Holy Spirit to reveal because that's his job. His job
-
as a member of the Trinity. The third personality in
-
the Trinity is to reveal Christ to the hearts of men,
-
to glorify and magnify Jesus Christ. So whatever you don't
-
understand when you study the Bible, ask.
-
Him and you will reveal it to you.
-
But that's how you grow and that's how you stay
-
in obedience and walk in the world.
-
Amen.
-
So as you abide in this world, you receive illumination
-
and revelation for personal transformation. Now, that is one of
-
the things that is evident in your discipleship walk, that
-
there should be a change, There should be a mark change.
-
People should see you and you should take on that
-
christ like characteristic, the behavior that the presentation. So when
-
people look at you said, is that really that you
-
come because we remember when as much as it is
-
or it may seem to you as an indictment, it
-
is really a testimony because if they knew you to
-
be X, Y, and Z, and they're the same people
-
now saying that A, yes, there's a change, a positive change.
-
I hope where you are showing that you are a
-
disciple of Christ. Where it's showing that you have set
-
free from the entanglement of sin and what they knew
-
with you to be that reputation that you had. See.
-
Christ is the only one who can change your image.
-
He's an image changer. He's in the business of transforming lives.
-
Amen. So you move into or resemble look like.
-
You begin to take nature, take on his nature, his
-
attributes his values. There's a shift in your mindset. So
-
it's take on the mind of Christ. How are you
-
going to take on the mind of Christ? If you're
-
not in the mattle, if you're not reading, if you're
-
not studying, if you're not getting the illumination revelation at
-
the entrance of are the entrance of the Word? What happens?
-
Have I hidden in my heart that I may not
-
sin against you? If you've been studying, if you've been
-
hiding the Word in your heart, whenever a situation comes up,
-
you don't need to have bishop rev You have the
-
Word in you. You have the Spirit of God in you.
-
And if you're in the Word, you get revelation, illumination, understanding.
-
You have the knowledge, and you apply it, you get wisdom.
-
Say if you don't have wisdom, ask me. That's what
-
the scripture says.
-
But you don't know the Word.
-
And the enemy is counting on the fact that, and
-
he puts every obstacle in your way to make sure
-
you don't get in the Word. When you turn on
-
the music and you turn on the movies, you're like
-
wide awake the moment you pick up the Bible. Why
-
do you think that is that problem in Ashanti and Bishop,
-
you've pardoned me if I will. It may sound a
-
little offensive, but it's really true. It says, now grown
-
to it. It means when the fool gets illumination, we
-
need to means you become illuminated, you understand, you now perceive.
-
It's the end of the game when the fool becomes wise,
-
when it becomes knowledgeable.
-
And it really does apply scripture.
-
Until you get in the word and understand what the
-
scripture is talking about and being a disciple, living it
-
and obeying with by the you're fooling. Yeah, the Bible says,
-
only a fool who says there's no God, So you
-
live your life any kind of way because you think
-
there's no God.
-
It is only a fool.
-
And then in the traditional parwerance it says the same thing.
-
But when the fool becomes illuminated, when they get revelation,
-
when they get an understanding, then the game is over
-
because now they're not going to let you fool them anymore.
-
But the devil is counting on that you don't get
-
that revelation, that you don't get the illumination, so you
-
can continue to fool. You so you don't understand who
-
you are, your identity, whose you are, who you belong to,
-
who paid the price for that. You don't get to
-
understand what you're entitled to because you didn't read your.
-
Man will Amen.
-
Not only did you not read it, but if you
-
don't know it, you can't give what you don't have.
-
If you don't know it, you can't live by you
-
cannot live in obedience to it, you cannot walk in it.
-
So you have to start beginning to connect the dots.
-
That paragraph or scripture we started with John eight thirty
-
one and thirty two doesn't exist in a vacuum from
-
that one paragraph where we're progressing to where we are
-
starting to realize how it fits into all the different
-
parts and sections of our life. With the predominance the
-
fundaments of the primary objective of understanding what it means
-
to be a disciple.
-
Amen. So in Romans twelve, Vers.
-
One and two are possib All tells us he emphasizes
-
being personally transformed by the renewing of your mind to
-
take on the mindset of Christ, so that you can
-
discern God's will, which is God's pleasing and perfect will
-
for your life. So your transformation, your walk, the discipleship walk,
-
begins with the repentance, turning away from sin, turning your
-
heart away from those things that separate you from God.
-
And once you take that step, you take on the
-
mind of Christ. See, you give up something and you
-
take on something. You don't give up something and leave
-
a void. Because the same scripture tells us when you
-
cast out a demon and you leave that void, you
-
don't fill it with something. You come back and this
-
time you bring seven stronger demons. So you may have
-
started with lying, you give it up and you repent
-
from that, but you don't feel Now you're going to
-
sit down and warm the pills. Not only would the
-
line demon come back, you come with gossiping, Yeah, you
-
come with backbiting, You come with fornication, You come with
-
seven other demons will come with him, and they'll be stronger.
-
You couldn't handle the one by yourself.
-
How about his brought his How are you understand because
-
you're not in the word, you're not really the man
-
because you're not understanding what power you have, what you're
-
entitled to, because you're not abiding in his word and
-
you're not obeying and walking because that's what sets you free.
-
When you get in the word, and the word is Christ,
-
the Word made flesh. When you get into him, he
-
gets into you. And once he's in you, all those
-
things that you used to be that your friends knew
-
you start falling off. They knew you as a liar.
-
That falls off, they knew you as a whatever else
-
you do that is not pleasing God. Phnicatum falls off,
-
your lustful spirit falls off, Envy falls off, jealousy falls off.
-
But you see, you have to understand that it's a
-
choice you must make. He has given you the free will,
-
but how you apply or use that free will determines
-
what side you're own. There's no middle ground. Either you're
-
gathering with Christ or you're scattering with the devil. So
-
the day you hear his voice, if you choose not
-
to yield by your choice, then you're choosing to work
-
with the devil, work for the devil to align with
-
his kingdom. Because if you don't, then you've repented and
-
you're taking on the mind of Christ. You're joining the
-
camp of Christ. There's no middle ground. But whoever you
-
avail yourself to, they'll use you. How About when Christ
-
takes your life. He makes something out of it. Even
-
your friends, even your enemies, will bear witness that there's
-
something different about you. He will take you, and he
-
will elevate you. You go from glory to glory, but
-
the devil take you and use you and destroy you.
-
It comes to still kill.
-
He's not listen.
-
If you want to know, you know how he operates.
-
Just don't exercise your right, your choice to be with Christ.
-
If you don't, by default, you've chosen to work with him,
-
and he will show you his workings. See how they
-
can be fruit when you're in Christ. We're going to
-
talk about that. The fruits of the spirit, that's all
-
the fruits of the devil. That's how you know hate, envy, jealousy, murdered.
-
My grandmother used to say, every thief, every liar is
-
a thief, every thief is a killer. You start with lying,
-
little little lies, you'll graduate because yes, yes, like Christ
-
is taking you from glory to glory, the devil is
-
taking you from one's going up, the other, one's going down.
-
Here glory is negative glory. Amen, So choose you this
-
day exercise that right. Understand, and it all begins with
-
the repentance and your walk as a disciple, graduate from
-
just being a Christian.
-
This day is just nomenclature, something you choose on a form.
-
Are you a Christian, You're Muslim or your Buddhism? You
-
check one, But is your life testifying to what you
-
have checked or is it just a title? Yes, you
-
can take Christian. It looks good, but when I look
-
at you Christian, you're like christ You're taking on the attribution.
-
Are you really demonstrating that? If not, then it's just
-
a title. But if you say you're a Christian, he
-
wants you to now graduate from being just a Christian
-
to being a disciple. That is where that carries the weight,
-
because that means you're not just hearing it, you're acting
-
on it. You're going out there and you're obeying, you're
-
abiding in it and you're obeying, and you're going out
-
there and fulfilling the commission. Go out there and witness, testify,
-
win souls, just like somebody took the time to minister
-
to you, and then you became enlightened, illuminated to make
-
the right choice of giving your life to Christ repenting.
-
So now you're saved, sanctified, set apart, waiting to go
-
and meet your maker in heaven to come back to
-
live here for a thousand years. That's what the scripture says.
-
If the scripture is wrong, I'm wrong. Why are you
-
looking on watching your brother and sister? Because one of
-
those fruits is love. The fruits of the spirit have love.
-
It's your love is one of the evidences that you
-
are a disciple. You cannot say, Oh, I'm a decidive,
-
praise the Lord, hallelujah.
-
Oh I hate him. No, I can't stand him.
-
Oh I just can't wait for him to fall in
-
my trap. Oh who's characteristics that you disclaim? Because I
-
don't hear God saying just wait till I get you.
-
I hear God saying, I love you in spite of
-
I love you so much that, in spite of all
-
the stuff you've done, I've given my son my only Begods,
-
I won't give you. I won't give my house life
-
for you. Yes, I surely won't give my child for you.
-
I love you. I praise a lot of disabimits, maybe
-
some doing a lot of work being to that action,
-
But I don't look forward to sacrificing my child for
-
something that you've done. That you know you shouldn't have done.
-
But God, somebody say, but God. But God, in his
-
infinite mercy, gave his only given pray. If you're gonna
-
do it, do it well. You're not doing it for me.
-
I honestly may not worry. Even if I felt like
-
it on a good day, I probably would change my mind.
-
I'm not putting my head on the guilty for you
-
love it that crabbing Amen, But Jesus went to the
-
cross blameless, paid the price, the highest price. The spiritual
-
room is the blood. That blood, blameless, efficacious blood that
-
is the only thing that could atone atonement. Check out
-
the meaning of the word. It's the only thing that
-
could atone for the sins. It's the only thing that
-
would pacify, that was good enough. And yet he does
-
all of this and you still say not this week.
-
Maybe next week. Next week when.
-
I'm dressed and I got my you know, my swag on,
-
and you know I'm feeling myself. Get out of your feelings.
-
No you need but get out of your feelings. This
-
is not about feelings. Get illumination, get revelation, get understanding.
-
This is what you're commanded to do. It's not negotiable.
-
So anytime you don't go with it, know that you
-
are contravening God's plan for you. You have decided. He's
-
giving you free choice. But trust me, whatever choice you make,
-
there will be consequences, repercussions.
-
So if you choose.
-
Not to go with his word, you have chosen and
-
that's how you be that Listen, it's not so much
-
the sins that are going.
-
To take you to hell.
-
It's your rejection of Jesus Christ, his ways, his word,
-
his prescriptions for you, out of love, not because he
-
wants to punish you, because he wants you to get
-
the best, choose the fullest enjoyment out of the life
-
he has given you. Read it, study it, and if
-
you don't understand, come to me. Come let us read
-
them together.
-
But you.
-
Rather get on there, you know, and look at those
-
dirty movies and make those have those conversations and.
-
Not bad. But there's no.
-
Room you have to if we tell you to go
-
in scripture, are going to Google trying to put up
-
that scripture because there's no Bible on your because.
-
The other things.
-
If Christs were to come around and say, everybody, lift
-
up your phone and then you freeze you right there
-
and then start scrolling through your stuff.
-
I'll start with you. Praise the Lord or so of Amen.
-
Dehisions for twenty one through twenty four says, if indeed
-
you have heard him and have been taught by Him,
-
as the truth is in Jesus, that you put off
-
concerning your former conduct, repent you turn away the change
-
of heart, change of mind. Put off the old man,
-
which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts the flesh.
-
The flesh always wants enjoyment. Flesh always wants what's convenient,
-
what's comfortable. The loss of the flesh Amen twenty three,
-
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, the
-
attitude of your mind.
-
True worship is really a pasture of your hind And.
-
If you really are grateful to God, if you really
-
are in a relationship with the art, because that's what
-
he's about relationship. If you're not in a relationship with someone,
-
you don't go to that extent. He's a god of community,
-
it's a god of relationship.
-
Let us make man in our image. But he's looking
-
for that.
-
You would yield that free choice he gave you, that
-
you would yield to him so that he can show
-
you even better things. But you choose to remain. You
-
never want to graduate from class one. You're twenty and
-
you ain't class one, Class one, Papa. When I was
-
a christ A kid, I got to classics before we
-
took our common interest. I met a young man and
-
I don't want to call his name because he might
-
still be somewhere in this world. Somebody may might have
-
just watched this one day. His first name was Joe.
-
When we got to classics, Joe was there, and apparently
-
he had been there a couple of times. His parents
-
were quite influential, so he had repeated and repeated. Joe
-
was tall and hairy, and he looked like a bro,
-
you know bro. But we came to meet joining classics
-
and we had the rose A row seven B Rose seven.
-
So we got graded thirty five in a class and
-
Joe was he thirty five. He stayed at the last desk.
-
He had been there a couple of years before we
-
got there. That's what you're trying to say. I want
-
to stay in my E thirty five. I don't want
-
to graduates showing you a better way? Are you still
-
because you don't want to be your disciple. You don't
-
want to commit and you don't want that personal transformation
-
because that's the evidence. So in order to grow in faith,
-
grace and knowledge us prescribed in tewod Zza Three and eighteen,
-
we must immerse ourselves in the Word of God and
-
practice the Word. That's what you're going to acquire from
-
the Word, because faith with our works is dead.
-
You're going to acquire the faith.
-
Faith comes by hearing, hearing the word, studying the word,
-
knowing the word, living by the word, taken on the
-
attributes of Christ, taken on the very nature of Christ.
-
You're refusing to progress when you refuse to do that,
-
and that means your transformation doesn't happen. You're short circuiting
-
your transformation, as prescribed in Firstimity four fifteen. I'm not
-
reading the scripture because I'm trying to spet up and
-
close up. So Bishop can bless us.
-
In our quest for personal transformation.
-
It is not enough to just acquire the basic principles
-
of faith, but we must also apply what we learn
-
or acquire so that we weigh mature, mature same maturity.
-
You cannot be fed on milk. You must mature to
-
look If you have a child and the child is
-
twenty and still drinking milk, it's an error. There's an abnormality.
-
You cannot be a baby Christian forever. You must graduate
-
to eat the strong meat. That's why you get teeth.
-
The baby comes with no teeth. That's the period for milk.
-
When it starts showing them a little bruning, it starts
-
testing on your fair biting.
-
It's time for meat.
-
There are signs in the natural cycle, so it is
-
in your spiritual cycle. You must mature. Turn your neighbor
-
and say, mature more. Pump is a side. You must
-
mature in the understanding and application of God's word. In
-
all of this, it is the Holy Spirit. The Holy
-
Spirit is essential. He is the power, the actual man
-
of the Trinity, and it is he who gives us
-
the power to change. By the revelation of who Christ is.
-
There is evidence of his work in the transformation process,
-
evidence collectively identified as fruit of the spirit. Turns your
-
neighbors say you must bear fruit as a disciple. There
-
must be fruit. What about the parable for that tree
-
that was not burying any fruit? What the Christ do?
-
What did Christ do? Don't occupy space, don't just occupy
-
a pew. That means you don't understand your assignment. Go
-
out and win souls, discipleship. Go out there and exhibit
-
present the christ like nature, the mindset, the perspective of Christ.
-
Let others see the Christ in you. It wasn't given
-
to you to hide to sit on. Then you have
-
brought to not all of that power, all that, all
-
the blood he shed, You have made nothing of it.
-
You can't make a fool of Christ. You make a
-
fool of yourself. So if you think, okay, I'm just
-
gonna sit here and just be a quiet Christian, be good.
-
When you get up there, it's gonna ask you. Okay,
-
So you accepted Jesus Christ, And what did you do?
-
Because qwame out there was waiting for you to come
-
and minister to him, to witness to him so that
-
you could accept.
-
But because you.
-
Didn't show up, you were not in your place. Quime
-
didn't receive the illumination, the revelation so that he can yield,
-
so that there could be a transformation. So Quame died
-
in a sense, the blood will be required of you. Yeah,
-
when you get there, everybody that you were meant to
-
minister too, that you decided wasn't important because your nails
-
were getting on your head, it was getting done. Your
-
swag wasn't right, so you don't want to oh sah.
-
You decided what was more important that the agenda of
-
Christ for your life, that you become an effective deciple
-
that bears fruit. Now the fruits of the spirit love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness.
-
But the one I think we have the biggest problem
-
with self control. Somebody says the wrong thing to you,
-
as much of the Christ that you have.
-
In you, you clap back. You're talking to me.
-
Let's take this outside. Oh you, oh, come on, no
-
self control fly off. They say something wrong to you,
-
may not even mean it that way. You take offense.
-
Whose character are you displaying? Whose spirit? Whose image? Who
-
is your master? Because it comes through.
-
Look at it at the ship.
-
She thinks she's all that. She got some new head
-
this week. So roll your eyes until your eyes get
-
stuck in the back of your head. See this guy, Jelly,
-
It affects me while I look at because you go
-
Jim's wait from gradually.
-
Maybe it's envy, Maybe it's jealousy. Whose character, whose.
-
Characteristics are you displaying disciple of whom? Yeah, you can
-
be a disciple of Christ and you can be the
-
disciple of Gonyu who. So I'm going to end here,
-
but in our disciple discipleship walk, the one important thing
-
that I can't stress enough, omen is your understanding of
-
your assignment. Now you're not just a Christian the title nomenclature.
-
You are to graduate too, mature from being just a
-
Christian because anybody can call themselves Christian. Now it doesn't
-
carry the weight that it did when Paul and Barnabas
-
were in Antioch, when they were first called Christians, because
-
they resembled Christ spiritually and in the natural. Two these days,
-
you must now be a disciple for those things, the
-
fruits of the spirit, to matter, to be shown, to
-
be exhibited. So I invite you today to consider, in fact,
-
not just to consider. I'm not appealing to you. You
-
are commanded. Turn to you the man say you're commanded.
-
That is your commission. If you say you believe in
-
Jesus Christ, that is your commission to go out there
-
and be a disciple. I hope you've been burssed.
-
And if you are blessed, if you're here and you
-
are not a disciple.
-
If you have not given your life to Christ, you
-
don't have time to dwell on it today.
-
I want church. I want you to pray.
-
If you're here and you've not decided to accept Jesus
-
Christ as your lord and savior, please come. You don't
-
know what's going to happen in the next five minutes.
-
I pray long life, good health for you. But God
-
can call you home. It is his prerogative. It's in
-
his purview and time to decide if this is your day.
-
Only he knows.
-
Your mother doesn't know, your father doesn't know, I don't know,
-
your friends don't know, your siblings don't know. If you're
-
here and you don't know Him and the pardon of
-
your sins as your Lord and savior, I invite you
-
to come.
-
Come now.
-
The day that you hear his voice, harden not your heart,
-
because they will be required of you on the day
-
of accountability. You heard the word I was calling you
-
to discipleship, to our higher relationship, but you chose to
-
remain in immaturity. Please come, anyone. It's not time to
-
worry about how you look or who is watching on
-
that day. It's going to be you and God alone.
-
Nobody's going to be there. Your mom won't be there,
-
your dad won't be There's going to be you and God,
-
and you will give account for the life that He
-
has given you. Come now, please, It is the first
-
step repentance and away from your old ways and take
-
on a new image, take on the mind of Christ.
-
Please come, anyone, so everybody here is saved. Jesus Christ
-
is your Lord and savior. You've given your life to Christ,
-
and you know if he comes right now, you're going
-
back with him. Anyone here, way in the back, Praise
-
the Lord. Everybody here. Five minutes from now, he can
-
call you home. Where are you going? If you haven't
-
chosen him by your free will, you're either with Christ or.
-
You're with the devil. There's no middle ground.
-
If you have a choice today, a chance today, and
-
you said I'll wait till next week, that means you've
-
rented your body to the Satan for one week. And
-
if the Lord allows you to see the week, then
-
you're saying, I'm giving Satan use of my vessel.
-
This week until next week. That's what you're saying. Anybody,
-
Everybody here saved. Everybody here saved well church. Praise God.
-
That's all. Give God a hand out for praise.
