Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
Okay, let us get right into the world. Let us pray.
-
Come, Holy Spirit, have your way, increase that I might decrease.
-
Give clarity, give illumination, give understanding, bring wisdom. Help us
-
empower us so we can go out and be disciples.
-
Give us the understanding. Come reason with us. Talk to us,
-
Minister to us. Prepare our hearts and our minds to
-
be open, ready fatal ground for the seed to be planted,
-
so that we will be able to accomplish the assignment
-
that you've given us. We thank you now, because even
-
before we ask, we know it is done according to
-
your word. So receive your thanks in the mighty name
-
of Jesus the Christ.
-
We have prayed.
-
Amen, Thank you Name. Thank you so much. You may
-
be seated in the presence of the Lord.
-
So Church. We have been talking about.
-
Discipleship, discipleship, and even in our talks we juxtaposed being
-
a convert to being a disciple. You see, when you
-
come and you give your life to Christ, you have
-
become a convert. But at the moment it happens, you
-
do not make a complete change, a complete translocation from
-
your status before into that. Now that you've given him
-
your life, you have now surrendered. So now you must
-
be taught. You must learn. You must be taught. You
-
must learn to unlearn the things that you did. You
-
have to put away the old man, the things that
-
you used to do, which you can't now do because
-
you have an understanding of who you are and who
-
you are. So we talked about that and that the disciples,
-
and the fact that the disciples were not just the
-
pastors and the leaders of the shepherds. It is everyone
-
who is in the church has giving their life to Christ.
-
It's the first step. Now must learn, be taught, and
-
receive doctrine so you can be in the church and
-
just be a convert. That means you have taken the step,
-
but you're doing nothing else. But you see, I like
-
it to joining the army. When someone joins the army,
-
they're not going there to just okay, I've enlisted. They
-
give you uniforms, you'll give you your weapons, and you go
-
and lay down in the barras and you chill. You
-
must now follow the rules, take on certain directives and
-
instructions that prepare you for what you've signed up for.
-
When you give your life to Christ, you have effectively
-
joined the army of the Kingdom of God, because, whether
-
you realize it or not, we are at war.
-
The enemy is looking to take souls with him into
-
his kingdom to.
-
Perish, to destroy, to kill, and for you to remain
-
with him eternally. But God's kingdom is looking for you
-
to abide eternally with him in his kingdom. So when
-
you enter Satan's kingdom, there's an assignment. There are things
-
that you will do. I don't know how many of
-
you have come into contact with Satanists.
-
They have an agenda.
-
There are certain things that they must accomplish, and it's
-
all aimed at destroying the Kingdom of God and the
-
people of God. Likewise, when you join the Kingdom of God,
-
there's an assignment for you the things that you must do.
-
But in order to do them, you must move from
-
just being a convert to a follower one who follows Christ.
-
Like we talked about when we said Paul and Barnabas
-
and Antioch followed hard after Christ, so that even the
-
community they lived in people looked at them and said,
-
these people, they are Christians, they are the followers of Christ.
-
They act like Christ, they behave like Christ, they walk
-
like Christ, they pray like Christ. Everything they do they
-
resemble Christ, not just in the natural but even spiritually.
-
The way they prayed, the way they made in secession,
-
the way they fasted. So you've joined the Kingdom of God.
-
These are your instructions now which will make you prepared.
-
Because the commission you've joined the army, you're commissioned into
-
a certain service. The commission that we've given us Christians
-
is to now receive the training, the teaching, and the
-
doctrine so we can go out and replicate ourselves when
-
others into the kingdom, so the kingdom will grow. The
-
only way we are going to be effective is for
-
us to yield ourselves, to submit ourselves to the teaching,
-
the training, and the doctrine so we can be empowered.
-
Because you can't give what you don't have. And if
-
you're not ready, if you're not prepared, you go out there,
-
what are you going to tell them? You don't want
-
to go out there and mislead people. But by your
-
very example as a follower of Christ, the lifestyle that
-
attributes the characteristics the values that you exhibit will be
-
the first testimony for them to know that now he
-
is a Christian, now she is a Christian. But more importantly,
-
when you're out there replicating yourself, you are a disciple.
-
So you want to move from being a convert to
-
just a follower who's going along, to be coming a disciple.
-
You can be a convert, you can be a believer.
-
You know, a follower. You receive the word, and but
-
you do nothing because the whole point of this is
-
that you must take root, be established, be firm, be
-
sure so that nothing moves you. Because like a young
-
plant when it's first a seedling, when it's taking you know,
-
roots and sprouting, it doesn't have very deep roots. So
-
if it rains too hard, if you water too hard,
-
you see the roots come out. It's only about this
-
deep and falls off and old ee. So at that
-
tender age you must handle with care. So when you
-
first convert, you at that tender stage. But we want
-
you to grow roots downwards so you can be anchored, established,
-
so that when the trials and temptations of life of
-
life comes, you won't be moved, you won't be lost,
-
you won't be discouraged, you won't be offended, and you
-
won't just leave the church.
-
If you're not rooted.
-
The other thing that can happen is that you start
-
chasing signs and wonders and miracles.
-
Oh I hear this past. That's good.
-
This a miracle happening in this church. You go there, Well,
-
this prophit is sharp. You can tell me about my future.
-
You go there, you move to and fro because you're
-
not established. But when you're grounded and you are being fed, taught,
-
train and receiving doctrine, it establishes you. When a tree
-
is well grounded, you can try to pull it down,
-
but you're going to have some resistance because now the
-
roots are entangled with the earth and with other roots.
-
So it's steady.
-
When the storms come and the winds blow, it's resilient.
-
It may sway, but it will never be moved. But
-
when you're not established, when you have not received the training,
-
the teaching, and the doctrine, you will easily be moved. Amen,
-
tell to your neighbor and say be rooted, or open
-
up your mouth and tell them, look them in the faces.
-
They be rooted, be grounded, be established, receive training, receive teaching,
-
and receive the doctrine. So you can be an effective disciple.
-
Amen. So the Great Commission in Matthew.
-
Twenty eight and nineteen says God said, go and make
-
disciples of all nations. That's why we're here doing this,
-
because the commission is for you to go out there.
-
But in order for you to go out there, you
-
must receive the training, the teaching and the doctrine, and
-
that prepares you from being just a convert. You must
-
now become a follower, following hard and working towards becoming
-
a disciple.
-
Amen.
-
The convert gladly receives the word when they hear it,
-
but it's the teaching and training and doctrine that helps
-
them to transition. You must move just like the stages
-
of a child. It's born. It's a baby. It cannot
-
do anything for itself. It depends on the parents. They
-
must feed it. It's a babe in Christ. When you
-
first give your life to Christ, you're a babe in Christ.
-
You must be fed. The baby graduates from just drinking
-
milk to now eating solid food, and when it has teeth,
-
it will now eat meat. The stages of life, it'll crawl,
-
then they'll walk, then it'll run. Goes from being carried everywhere.
-
Then it starts crawling. Then it stands up and starts walking,
-
and when it really realizes, oh, I can get away,
-
starts running. That's what has happened to you in your
-
Christian You cannot remain a babe. You cannot remain a
-
convert your whole life in Christ. You must graduate and
-
now take on the responsibility of replicating yourself.
-
Amen.
-
So the main reason why the church is not growing
-
then is because we are not following the pattern that
-
God has given us. Because in the early the New
-
Testament church, the Holy Spirit gave a certain pattern by
-
which the church must grow. Turn to the neighbors, saying,
-
it's God's church. So if it's his church, then who
-
better to give you the rules the instructions on how
-
to grow it.
-
You cannot of yourself grow the church.
-
It is not within your power, no matter how much
-
words you know, no matter how much you know, time
-
you put in, if the Holy Spirit doesn't give you
-
the power. That is why we see from the Upper
-
Room experience. One hundred and twenty of them went in there,
-
the Holy Spirit came upon them, that received power, and
-
then they were able to go out and the scriptures
-
we shared last week.
-
In one day, three thousand were added.
-
Why they had received the power, They had received that
-
doctrine their teaching, and they were able to go out there, minister,
-
and in one day, three thousand were added to their numbers,
-
from one hundred and twenty to three thousand. It wasn't
-
just a linear growth. And those of you who do
-
maths linear growth in algebra, it's not a one to
-
one relationship. You brought one, they brought one, They brought one.
-
It was exponential growth. He spoke to five, won them.
-
She spoke to seven, He spoke to ten, he spoke
-
to fifteen. And when they all came together, they realized
-
the church was growing by.
-
Leaps and bounds.
-
After the three thousand, the next time they met, five
-
thousand came to. Then a multitude came. So there was
-
continued growth, succession, successive growth, advancement, which is what God
-
wanted for his church. So it also tells us that
-
disciples multiplied. But in order for disciples to multiply, that
-
means someone was teaching them, someone was training them, someone
-
was giving them doctrine. That is why they were able
-
to go out with that power, with that understanding to
-
be able to reach others to win them over. So
-
that's the assignment. But the blueprint came from the Holy Spirit.
-
The patron for doing that came from the Holy Spirit.
-
So it is now incumbent upon us to submit and
-
to subject ourselves to that teaching, the training and the doctrine.
-
And I'll take it even a step further.
-
And this is not just for the pastors and the
-
leaders and the sh each and everyone. The only way
-
you're going to get revelation, insights, understanding illumination.
-
Is by one.
-
Your prayer life, your relationship with God. You talk to God,
-
you commune with God, and God talks to us in
-
different ways in his word, in dreams. But as you
-
commune with God and you develop your relationship with God,
-
he communicates with you.
-
So your prayer life as a disciple is very important.
-
But just like the disciples of the Early Church, they
-
didn't just pray. What made Paul and Barnabas so unique
-
so that the people called them Christians was the way
-
they prayed. They offered supplication made into session. So if
-
we are following a pattern, then it's not just enough
-
to receive the training and the teaching and the doctrine.
-
But you yourself.
-
Must seek your personal development because when you give your
-
life to Christ and you become a convert, the old
-
man still exists. But the more you develop your relationship
-
with Christ, your walk with Christ, the old man, the
-
old attributes, the old values, the old characteristics start to
-
fall off and you take on a new image. You
-
take on a new mind, the mind of Christ, and
-
people start seeing the change.
-
Look at your isn't that who used to? Isn't that
-
I'm who?
-
You know? Would require me to do semur Man's But
-
the change becomes evident. You don't just look like you
-
walk like her. You start resembling Christ spiritually. You see,
-
it is the development of that which is important. The
-
outside looks nice, but if the inside. My grandmother used
-
to say something I eased to think you used to
-
think she was just joking. I say, oh, do I
-
know who you're blue? And wom you are green? You
-
look a different way on the outside, but what is
-
really on the inside is what matters. Because when you
-
meet people, you can show them personality, but when they
-
get to know you enough, they see your character. That's
-
the difference. Personality is what you show everybody, Oh, Praise Lord.
-
Hallelujah, Glory. Put down.
-
What's in there. Out of the abundance of the heart.
-
The mouth speaks. Sooner or later what you are really like,
-
the character that you have in there is going to
-
come out. So the training, the teaching, the doctrine, the
-
relationship that you develop with Christ helps you in your
-
walk towards becoming an effective disciple, but also helps you
-
to drop the old ways. If you don't drop the
-
old ways, then you are just a convert. You're still
-
a bathing Christ. If you don't drop the old ways,
-
then you don't have that evidence, that testimony, that witness
-
by your very lifestyle. People look at you and say, ah,
-
and here's the one who said he's a Christian. Look
-
at what, Charlie. I don't even bother with this Christianity.
-
You are in church of Hallelujah. I don't turn out
-
no scrapping out there. I don't like nonsense. So we
-
are really Christian follow out of Christ. What are you exhibiting?
-
It is the fruits?
-
Fruits?
-
What fruits are you being when you've taken root, when
-
you've received the doctrine, the teaching, the training, you're taking root,
-
becoming established, established in what what fruit? We've also talked
-
about the fruits of the spirit, because as you are
-
in Him and you're receiving this training, you start you
-
must demonstrate the fruits of the spirit, some of which
-
I love for one another and for souls. A real disciple,
-
a true disciple, you have the burden a concern that
-
the one sitting next to you may not be saved,
-
may not have converted, may not be receiving training, and
-
that they're on their way to hell. So it's not
-
just love general love, but it's love for one another,
-
how you treat each other and love for souls. You
-
want your neighbor to also come in and experience as
-
Christ that you're emulating, that you're displaying these characters new
-
values that everybody say, wow, he has really changed. You
-
want that same thing for your neighbor.
-
So that burden is there.
-
So some of the fruits that love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
-
and the one that really strikes me self control. Because
-
in your change, as you're going through the metamorphosis, the
-
one thing that's hard for human beings to do is change.
-
That's why people that me answer me, I'm like that
-
to a me and me. It's alimity. They don't want
-
to change, and.
-
They make excuses self control.
-
It is a fruit the spirit that you must exhibit
-
when you are a disciple, when you are a true disciple.
-
But we're talking about patterns. All of this going into
-
you being a pattern for someone to follow. Your lifestyle
-
must be a pattern for somebody to follow. But as
-
far as it concerns the method of growing the church,
-
while you are seeking your personal development in developing these
-
characteristics and values, the church must evidently grow because we
-
don't just come in here and meet on Sundays and
-
then close our books or notebooks or bibles, or turn
-
off our ee bibles and shut it till next week
-
and then come and receive the word, because then you're
-
relying on just what the pastor will say. The pastor
-
is human. He can get something wrong if he's not
-
very well ground. Remember a couple of weeks ago, I
-
made a certain statement that was not It wasn't false,
-
but it wasn't all that we can complete with regard
-
to what I was teaching. And Bishop corrected me. Yes,
-
you must be open to correction. That's how you grow
-
if you say media asylamity means a san I'm not
-
going to change. That means you don't want to grow,
-
and that means you want to remain a babe in Christ,
-
a convert, not a follow and not a disciple, because
-
the followers walk leads them to discipleship. If they are
-
submitting themselves to training, teaching, doctrine, praying, making intercession, it
-
leads you to becoming an effective disciple. But the church
-
is going to grow after the pattern which the Holy
-
Spirit gave.
-
And what pattern is that?
-
It is the same parton that God gave one man
-
of God called doctor David Yngicho. He's a man of
-
God that God used to show us a living example
-
in our day, not in the old you know church,
-
in the modern you know Testament, modern New Testament church
-
that was back then we didn't exist. But even this day,
-
by adopting the cell structure, the cell pattern of growing
-
the church, he was able to grow his single church
-
into eight hundred thousand people, the largest single church on earth.
-
And it was based on him following the pattern that
-
was given by the Holy Spirit to the modern early
-
New Testament church. If God has given the pattern, what
-
else are we looking for why we try to find
-
other ways. It is his church and he knows how best.
-
So his Holy Spirit gave the pattern, and doctor David
-
Jungicho realized that the reason why the church now is
-
not growing because we have a sanctuary full of converts.
-
They have heard the good news, they have received it gladly.
-
They have come forward and given their life to Christ.
-
But then they go back and sid in the pews
-
and they do absolutely nothing. So they are not grounded.
-
They don't know their assignment. They're not subjecting themselves to
-
being taught, trained and receiving doctrine, so they're not equipped
-
to go out there and replicate themselves and bring others in.
-
So as long as others are not coming in, the
-
church is not growing. Pattern there must.
-
Be followed the way it was given.
-
In the old days, they didn't have huge meeting places
-
like this, even their temples. We're not like the spaces
-
we have these days. People meet a stadia, they meet
-
a black cell square, I mean wide, huge open spaces
-
where multitudes come. But in older days they didn't have
-
that and they were being persecuted in their time. So
-
whenever they had a chance to meet in a public place.
-
They did, but for the sake of being persecuted, being killed,
-
being mattered. We don't see that so much these days
-
that I'm hearing some things in Nigeria. Bukoharama is killing
-
in one day eighty nine. Christians, you have to understand
-
that you are at war just by choosing to be
-
on the side of Jesus Christ. That's why I tell
-
you there's no middle ground. If you choose to be
-
with Christ, you're gathering. If you don't, you're scattering. You're
-
not in the middle saying me, I'm neutral alone. There's
-
no such thing as a neutral Christian. Because your assignment
-
is to grow the church, to go out there and
-
make disciples. That is the great commission. The only way
-
you're gonna do that is to submit yourself to it.
-
The training, the teaching, the doctrine. You have to pray, intercede,
-
offer supplication, fasting. Some of us want to say fast thing, Jesus.
-
You can't even go from eight to twelve with help.
-
Put someone in your mouth as soon as they say
-
fast thing. The little creatus in your bodies that eat something,
-
eat something, drink something, have some cook have some sugar,
-
have some your mouth busy the whole time, but you
-
know when you deny yourself. Part of this walk is
-
the commitment to receiving the training, but it's also commitment
-
to sacrifice. It serves two purposes that you open up
-
and received from God as to what to do. The
-
empowerment you need to grow, but it also helps you
-
to have self control in your own personal growth, in
-
your own relationship with God. Nobody else can do that
-
for you. Each and everyone must work out their salvation
-
with fear and trembling. I can't do it for you.
-
Pastor can't do it for you. Your mother can't do it
-
for you. Your father can't do it for you. Every
-
one of us must work out their own salvation, must
-
follow their own pattern. The discipleship must be effective to
-
win souls. I believe it's in Revelation that talks about
-
your crown. When you get to heaven, if you've won souls,
-
there will be stars in your crown for every soul
-
that you've ministered it to. I don't know about you.
-
I don't just want to go band because I just
-
made it in and then there's nothing else. I want
-
a crown that has stars representing the soul that I've
-
led to Christ because I was an effective disciple. So
-
the self structure that we have here at Next Gen
-
is called next sells. As we are following that pattern
-
to grow this church. It is incumbent upon each and
-
every one of us. We all have the assignment. It's
-
just not me and Pastor Jeremiah, or Bishop or any
-
of the other pastors or the leaders of the shepherds.
-
You also the church. You are the one that God
-
is looking to use to go out there and win souls.
-
If you're sitting down expecting someone to go and minister
-
to them and bring.
-
Them, then what is the point of view? Johnny.
-
You can't just join the army and going to sleep
-
in the barracks and so me, I've joined you, that's
-
all I've not.
-
Didn't come here to fight. When there's war, you must go.
-
But while there's not war, you receive the training so
-
that in the event it comes up, you are armed.
-
You know what to do with your gun, and tell
-
you cap your gun. You know what it means when
-
the no bullets in your magazine, you know how to
-
take it apart and put another one in so you
-
can take down the enemy. You must know how to
-
maneuver and take their evasive moves so that enemy doesn't
-
get you. But it's all towards the pattern that he
-
is given for growing the church. I want us to
-
also understand as I was saying that, as I was
-
saying that we must receive the word, we must receive
-
the training and go out there and be effective that
-
in the end, each and everyone on that day of
-
accountability is going to be you. And God, I gave
-
you the gift of life. I planted you in this church,
-
doctrine was given, teaching and training.
-
You personally.
-
Having told everybody that you're a Christian, not just by name.
-
It's not just nomenclature. It's not just something that you
-
check on a you know, on a phone. What is
-
your faith? A Christian? Somebody who checked Muslim someone to
-
check Budhi someone. It's just nomenclature. What makes you a Christian?
-
What is it that proves you're a Christian? A Christian?
-
Meaning of it says you're a follow of Christ? What
-
about you says you're a follow of Christ?
-
What fruits? What are you bearing?
-
If you're just checking the paper and still holding to
-
your old man, you're just a Christian by name, it
-
doesn't carry any weight. But if you're a Christian, a
-
true Christian, then you have evolved or you are evolving
-
to becoming a disciple. And if you're a disciple, that
-
means you are submitting yourself to receiving the training, the teaching,
-
the doctrine so you can go out there and win
-
others so the church will grow. But if your aim,
-
with the understanding of the commission, is to go out
-
to all the world and make disciples, if you understand that,
-
then you know that the way that's going to happen
-
is by following the pattern.
-
Of cell growth, the cell system.
-
It is the only way, the most effective way that
-
we're going to grow this church. That is why we
-
are spending time training you, teaching you for you to
-
understand that. Don't just come every week and sit in
-
the pews. When you go home, your neighbors, your friends,
-
if you're working, your communities that you're in, if you're
-
part of some fraternity, if you're on campus, everybody you
-
come into contact with, like Joe Charlie, are you saved?
-
Oh Miami. I don't do that christ to yourself.
-
It's like buying insurance if Christ comes right now and
-
he's taking his own, are you.
-
Sure you're going back with him?
-
Or even if you're not sure, what if you die
-
and you get there and there is a heaven and
-
a hell and you never accepted Jesus Christ, where do
-
you think you're going? Did you receive it when it
-
was given? Did you receive it when you heard his word?
-
Did you apply yourself? Did you go out there and
-
fulfill the commission? It's not enough to just, you know,
-
receive your salvation and sit down. He said, once you
-
received it, go and bring others. So when he asked, okay,
-
accepted Jesus Christ.
-
Wonderful. So when you accepted him, what did you do? God?
-
Me?
-
I accepted the moon and I was in the church.
-
Okay, you were in the church and did what when
-
you when you had the chance to talk to Amma?
-
I'm mean the way she is like me. I didn't
-
she shout on you in published would embarrass you when
-
you tried to talk to about it?
-
To me, I didn't first my family there's some way,
-
so me, I just you know, I just don't want trouble.
-
I don't want anyone halla So I'm safe. So I'm
-
just you know, I'm just waiting. I was just waiting
-
for you to come. Oh, so you didn't understand the assignment.
-
I didn't just save you to go sit down. I
-
said save, receive the training, go out there and bring others.
-
So who did you bring? And mm hmm, good, give
-
me one chance? Let me let me go back there.
-
Man size is my friend. Let me see. Can you
-
let me go back? No, there's no turning back. There's
-
no going back. So while you yet have it, you
-
must apply yourself. I want to look at one last
-
scripture and then we can move on. Acts Chapter two,
-
verse forty six. Acts Chapter two, verse forty six. At
-
chapter two, verse forty six, the early Church had in battle.
-
They were being persecuted, murdered, mattered just because of what
-
they believed. And they continuing daily with one accord. Don't
-
you anybody say one accord? That means we all have
-
the same mind, we all have the same vision, we
-
all have the same understanding. We're all receiving the same
-
training so that we can all go out there as
-
an army to win souls on one accord. See, God
-
cannot bless confusion. He's not the art of confusion. When
-
we are all on one accord, his spirit will come
-
and do what it needs to do. He must have unity,
-
We must move in unison. We must all have the
-
same vision, the same understanding, on one accord in the
-
temple and breaking bread from house to house, So it's
-
not just about coming here every Sunday, from house to house.
-
Did they eat their meals? Listen? Sometimes in our culture
-
food brings us together.
-
Oh tell you, let's have a little Let's go and
-
have a little something for full year, or if you
-
like sweet things, he's going to sit down at the
-
coffee shop and have some cookies. And it's an opportunity
-
you break bread like Christ did with us with his disciples,
-
break bread, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness
-
of heart. It's a pattern. He's showing you how. And
-
here that's what we're going to do in what we
-
call the Next Cells. The cell system has many names,
-
but here at Next Gen Church, we call it Next Cells.
-
So we're all going to belong to We're gonna receive
-
the training, we're gonna go out there and we're gonna
-
win soles. One last scripture I wanted to give because
-
ecclese us is ten ten eclese to us is ten.
-
The purpose of wisdom when you receive the wisdom, what
-
is the purpose. If the iron be blunt and he
-
do not wet the edge, then must he put to
-
more strength? But wisdom is profitable to direct. If you
-
have a cut less and you want to cut the
-
tree down, you don't shopen it. You'd be striking. The
-
whole day is sweating and you won't cut anything. But
-
if you cut that wisdom the listener, I need to
-
cut this thing. I need a sharp edge, and you
-
wet it and you sharpen it. That is what wisdom
-
will give you. When you have received wisdom, you don't sweat.
-
You don't sweat needlessly. When we have received wisdom in
-
the word the pattern, when have joined the next cells,
-
when you are growing in your discipleship training with the understanding,
-
you're receiving the wisdom as to how to.
-
Accomplish the commission.
-
But wisdom ten ten say wisdom, wisdom, say, receive wisdom.
-
It's profitable to direct. Today. I hope you have received wisdom.
-
About what the cell is and what we call it
-
here at next else, and what this whole discipleship training
-
is about why we must do it, because we are
-
commissioned to how we must do it. That's what we
-
do to grow the church. But it begins with you
-
being a convert. For those of you who are here
-
who have not accepted Jesus christis your Lord and savior.
-
You cannot.
-
Out there and be effective when you don't know, when
-
you have not been trained, taught, or receive the doctrine.
-
You must subject yourself, submit yourself so we can train you,
-
teach you. And the way we're going to do that
-
is in our next cells. And then when you are empowered,
-
you go out there to minister, to witness, to win
-
so so that the church will grow. That's your assignment
-
do to come and help the Kingdom of God grow.
-
Everybody is not going to get the same results. He
-
might be gifted and he can talk to twenty and
-
they'll receive. You might be gifted, you can get you five.
-
But God is not looking at say oh, you didn't
-
do it. No, but you subjected yourself, submitted yourself. So
-
today I'm giving you the opportunity come see the empowerment
-
so you can go out there and be effective in
-
this discipleship walk.
-
That's your purpose.
-
The day that you cease to fulfill the purpose that
-
God asks for you, trust me, that is the day
-
you go to sleep. When the Bible says and He
-
went to sleep, it means you cease to exist in
-
the land of the living.
-
You die. If He is letting you live, that means
-
that He has purpose for you. But what is the purpose?
-
Seeking out purpose? This is the purpose.
-
Yes, life is going on. You meet people, you go
-
to school, you have relationships. All of that is part
-
of the journey. But the purpose for being here, this
-
is why He led you to this church, which is
-
why you're coming here every Sunday, which is why you
-
say you're a Christian and this is your home.
-
Church planted you here so you can receive the word, receive.
-
The training, the teaching, the doctrine, be taught out to pray, intercede.
-
Or for supplication.
-
Control yourself, learn to master yourself in your walk, so
-
that the old man, the things that you used to do,
-
you take on the mind of Christ, so you become
-
more like Christ. So your very existence is an example.
-
Some people will never read the Bible, They'll just look
-
at you. You claim you're a Christian, and they'll be
-
learn let me remain a sinner because you are worse
-
than me. But when they look at you and they're like,
-
there's something different by this guy.
-
I mean even the way he treats people.
-
The fruits of the spirit, love for one another and
-
for souls, the burden. Listen, I'm saved though. I always
-
tell you, for those of you who drive, you don't
-
know the value of insurance until the day you have
-
an accident. When you're paying the premium, it's like nothing
-
has happened. Why am I giving these people my money.
-
It's like pulling your nose.
-
HEAs hey, yeah, oh.
-
But let you that day come where you have an
-
accident and then they give you an assessment of the
-
damage and if you don't have insurance you have.
-
To pay out of your pocket.
-
Then you'll understand the value of insurance because when you
-
have insurance, you have bump or fully covered when the
-
car crashes. Much as you are, you know, regretful that
-
your car has crashed, you don't have to carry that
-
extra burden of pain for it.
-
You don't have to lose something.
-
You just call the insurance that you have been paying
-
for and you'll come take the car, fix it or
-
replace it, give you a new one. That's what it's
-
like giving your life to Christ. You're taking insurance because
-
you do not know, but by faith. Faith comes by
-
hearing and hearing the word of God. But as a Christian,
-
we don't walk by faith by by sight.
-
We walk by faith.
-
Second Corinthians vibe and servants right in, for we walk
-
by faith, not by sight. Because you have believed, you're
-
taking that insurance that when I die and I get
-
before the Maker on that day of accountability, Christ says, ah,
-
this one is mine.
-
He believed in me. But not just that.
-
He fulfilled the commission. He subjected himself to training, teaching doctrine.
-
He has completed his assignment, enter into arrest a good
-
and faithful servant.
-
I don't know about you. That's what I want to
-
hear God say to me about me.
-
I don't want to say, oh, okay, well accept that crier, okay,
-
come in. But any souls, he didn't do anything for
-
me as much as I did for you. I said
-
my only begotten son to die for you, which is
-
why you're here. You couldn't even think or love another
-
soul enough imagine the disappointment, the heartbreak. But that's what
-
I'm off for you today. Come give your life to Christ.
-
Give your life to Christ. Anybody here. Time is fast spent.
-
If you haven't accepted him. No man knows when he's coming.
-
He could come now as I'm talking. If you haven't
-
received him, it's too late. But our times are different.
-
Someone may live to one hundred and forty. I just
-
went to my friend's grandmother's funeral one hundred and six.
-
God blessed her.
-
She saw grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. It was
-
beautiful while they were in Sorry that she had left,
-
but it was beautiful to see all of them lined
-
up saying, this is the matriarch. Somebody will live to
-
one o six. Somebody will live to fifty. These days,
-
people are dying at twenty five and twenty six. People
-
are dying in teenage years. You don't know when he's
-
gonna call you home. But when he calls you home,
-
can you say you belong to Christ? If you can't,
-
then here's your chance. Enter convert and will train him
-
so that you can be equipped.
-
And then you can fulfill the commission.
-
Then you can effectively follow the pattern being part of
-
the next hell to win others. That's our assignment. In short,
-
Come if you haven't given your life to Christ. If
-
you want to read, dedicate, because you know the walk
-
is not easy. There are times when the old man
-
creeps up. That's why you must pray without ceasing. That's
-
why you must daily renew your mind. That's what the
-
scripture says, renew your mind me, how do you do
-
that in the world.
-
Stay in the world. He'll give you revelation for your
-
daily walk.
-
You'll give you the strength to resist the old man,
-
because when the demons are left, after a while, they
-
come back. That's what the scripture says.
-
To see.
-
If you haven't filled it, why do you fill it
-
with the Holy Spirit, the teachings, the doctrine. If it's vacant,
-
you come and whisper. Do you remember I used to
-
do with that you are She's still Availablelo, do you
-
remember what you used to do with your boys? It's
-
still there because you haven't filled it and you draw
-
you back. So if you're here and you need to
-
rededicate yourself, come too. There's nothing shameful about it. If
-
you're shamed before men, if you're ashamed of him. Before man,
-
when you get to hit the presence of his father,
-
he'll also be ashamed of you. That's what the scripture says.
-
So come, So the time is up. Come, everybody here
-
is saved. Don't worry about the time, because you can
-
step out and God. You can hear the trump as
-
the angel ruling about disguise, and you'd be like, I
-
should have too late. This is the day, the moment,
-
this is the now we're talking about now, in the
-
moment that you're alive, the day that you hear my voice,
-
do not herden your heart. Now is the time, anyone, anyone,
-
come and give your life to Christ.
-
Come and rededicate your life.
-
Upgrade yourself, your software and your computer after a while
-
becomes old, redundant.
-
But you would want.
-
To stay on top of you want to stay current,
-
rededicate yourself. Say God, I know I've missed the mark.
-
Sometimes I don't always win this battle. God does not
-
saying be perfect, because no man is perfect except Christ.
-
But if you trust him, he will take you from
-
glory to glory. He will perfect you, He will establish
-
your ways. He is the one that will give you
-
the power to press towards the perfection that he expects.
-
He doesn't expect you to get saved. You're perfect. He
-
knows that stuff that's in there. It takes a while
-
to peel off. Today he will take away anger. Tomorrow
-
you take away from concern. Tomorrow you take away something else,
-
And eventually the new Man evolves anybody, anybody. He will
-
ask you. You heard reverend for his voice, and you
-
sat and say, look, I'm in a hurry to go home.
-
I have plans, So y'all do this next week. You
-
don't know if next week is yours.
-
Will Church?
-
Give God some praise in here? Oh, come on, give
-
him praise. You're still you have received the word. Even
-
if you're already saved, you have received this word. You
-
have received this pattern. You can do better. You're not
-
doing it for me. Uh huh, you're not doing Do
-
you understand why you do why you do?
-
Do you understand why you clap? Are you clapping because
-
we just told you the clap? Are you clapping because.
-
You are grateful that you've heard from his spirit that
-
you are encouraged today, that you are empowered today? Know
-
and understand why you do what you do? As a Christian,
-
be firm in your mind, in your understanding. See, the
-
battle is here. The enemy always suggests to you. That's why,
-
as says, renew your mind daily, shut out all the
-
voices and hear his still small voice.
-
Amen.
