Welcome to Merriweather Global Ministries. I am doctor Tanya Meriwether
-
Gibson Miller, and I am so elated to be sharing
-
with you on today. This is the day that the
-
Lord has made, and we are rejoicing and glad in it.
-
I invite you on today to come on magnify the
-
Lord with me, for he is a great God and
-
he is so deserving of our praise.
-
Here's the thing that I love on today. You better
-
get excited in here.
-
Every time I turn around, God continues to do things
-
that blow my mind. Why because He is an amazing
-
God that continues to do amazing things just for you
-
and for me. On today, we're coming from Habacca. The
-
third chapter, the seventeenth through the eighteenth verse from the
-
ENNI me and it reads, though the fifth tree is
-
not bud, and there are no grapes on the vines,
-
though the olive crop fails, and the fields produce no food,
-
though there are no sheep in the pen and no
-
cattle in the stalls. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord.
-
I will be joyful in God, my Savior, on today.
-
Just briefly praise him any way, let us pray, Dear God,
-
we thank you for this time of coming.
-
Together to share your words.
-
Right now, Lord, allow the words of my mouth and
-
the meditation of my heart to be acceptable in thy sight.
-
Oh Lord, you are my strength and you are my redeemer. Listen.
-
We all face moments in.
-
Life when circumstances don't line up with our expectations. Our
-
plans may fail, people may disappoint us, and life can
-
sometimes seems like a never ending storm. Yet as a believer,
-
we are called to do something radical in the face.
-
Of trials, which is to praise God anyway.
-
The prophet Habecca gives us a powerful example of how
-
to worship the Lord despite our situations. In today's message,
-
will explore why we should choose to praise Him even
-
when life is not perfect, and how doing so you
-
better hear me today strengthens our faith and gives glory
-
to God.
-
So first praise him anyway?
-
Why because our praise is not conditional Rebecca. The third chapter,
-
in the eighteenth verse, it says, yet I will rejoice
-
in the Lord. I will be joyful in God, my Savior.
-
While Habecca's declaration to rejoice in the Lord even when
-
the fig tree doesn't blossom or to feel yield no food.
-
Is a testament of unconditional praise. He is a praising
-
God because his life is going well. He's praising God
-
because God is good, regardless of his situation. Our praise
-
I want you know understand today it's not based on
-
what we have or don't have, but on who God is.
-
Or you gotta understand that on today, God's character doesn't
-
change with our circumstances. He is still worthy of worship,
-
still worthy for us to be faithful, and He is
-
still holy. When we wake up or we make our
-
praise conditional, we rob ourselves of the joy that comes
-
from worshiping God in spite of Oh, think about that,
-
in spite of I'm gonna praise him anyway.
-
So instead, make.
-
A decision today to praison anyway, whether it's a good
-
day or a difficult one. Let your worship be a
-
reflection of your relationship with God, not your circumstances. Because
-
this kind of praise, Yeah, it confuses the enemy and
-
it uplifts your spirit. I want you to think about
-
Paul and Simons in the prison. They had every reason
-
to complain, but instead.
-
They saying him to God in the middle of the night.
-
Their change didn't determine their brains. Their change didn't determine
-
how was faith in what they were willing to do
-
to worship God. And God responded to their unconditional worship
-
by shaking the foundation of that prison. You gotta come
-
on in here now and setting them free. Then praising
-
him anyway is because praise is our weapon.
-
You have to understand that. Second Carithians ten.
-
And four, it says for the weapons of our warfare
-
are not colonel, but mighty through.
-
God to pulling down the strongholds.
-
That means that praise is more than just a verbal expression.
-
It is a powerful spiritual weapon.
-
When we choose to praise God in difficult situations, we.
-
Are not denying our problems.
-
We are choosing to exalt God above them all.
-
Praise shifts our focus from.
-
The problem to the problem solver, from the storm to
-
the one who walks on the water. Or When we
-
learn our to lift our hands and to raise our
-
voices and praise God, we are declaring that the victory
-
is already hours in Christ Jesus. You have to learn, believer,
-
to use praise as your first response to every challenge.
-
When you receive bad news, look your voice and say, Lord,
-
I praise you. When things don't go as plans, say God,
-
I trust you.
-
This response may feel, I know, at first.
-
Unnatural, But as you consistently use praise as your weapon,
-
you will begin to experience a shift in your spirits
-
and the atmosphere around you. Oh, somebody better hear me
-
on today. In second Chronicles twenty, King Jr. Host of Fact,
-
faced a vast army that threatened to destroy Judah.
-
What did he do?
-
Oh? He appointed singors to go out ahead of the army, declaring,
-
give thanks to the Lord for his love, and doures
-
you better come home forever. Their praise confused the enemy,
-
and the armies that came against them were defeated without
-
a single sword lifted. Oh and then I praise him
-
when I praise him anyway?
-
Why?
-
Because praise activates our faith? He rules the eleventh chapter.
-
In the first verse, it says, now faith is confidence
-
and what we hope for and as sure as about
-
what we do not see. Oh, man and woman of God,
-
you have to choose to praise God, yes, in difficult times,
-
because it's an act.
-
Of your faith. It says, I may not see the solution.
-
Yet, but I trust that God is already at work.
-
Praise in the midst of trials declares that God is
-
greater than what I see right now. It expresses hope
-
and expectation that God is not finished and that.
-
He is able to turn things around.
-
Yeah, this kind of faith pleases God and brings his presence.
-
You better hear me in two hour situation.
-
So I want you to start praising God for what
-
He's going to do, even before you see the breakthrough.
-
If you're in a financial struggle, praise them as Jehovah Jirah,
-
your provider. If you're facing a health battle, praise him
-
as Jehovah Alphah. That God has healed. He's a God
-
who heals. Praise God in advanced demonstration. You wilieve his
-
word more than your current reality.
-
Remember the walls of Jericho.
-
Before the walls ever fell, the Israelites marched around them,
-
blowing trumpets and shouting praises.
-
They didn't wait until the walls crumbled to worship.
-
They worship get faith that God would fulfill his promise.
-
And because of their faith full and praise, the walls came.
-
Oh yeah, crushing down then why should I praise him anyway?
-
Well, I'm so glad you asked, because praise gives us.
-
Peace Philippians four and six and says, do not be
-
anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition,
-
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Yeah, praise calms
-
our anxious hearts. When we are overwhelmed by trials. When
-
we are overwhelmed, our praise read God.
-
Rais our attention to God's sovereignty. It's hard to worry
-
and worship at the same time. Oh, somebody out of
-
hear me.
-
Now, praise reminds us that God is in control, and
-
as we worship him, his peace that surpasses all understanding,
-
guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
-
So the next time that anxiety tries to.
-
Take over, you have began to praise God for who
-
is Say Lord, you are my rock and my refuge.
-
You are my fortress and my deliverer. You are the
-
effort and the omega. As you declare who God is,
-
your heart will shift from fear to faith, and God's
-
peace will begin to flood your spirit or Consin Daniel
-
in the lines den he faced the literal threat to
-
his life. Yet the Bible records that Daniel prayed and
-
gave thanks to God just as he always had.
-
His praise and the face of danger.
-
Not only sustained him, but it also changed the King's
-
heart right and broke God's deliverance. Oh as I close,
-
why I will praise him anyway?
-
Why love it.
-
Life will bring its share of difficulties. Life will bring
-
its disappointments, Life will bring its uncertainties.
-
But in those.
-
Moments we have a choice to focus on what's going
-
wrong or to worship the one who is always right.
-
Or when we choose to praise God anyway, we are
-
declaring that He is bigger than our circumstance, that He
-
is bigger than anything.
-
That I can encounter in my life, that our faith
-
is in him alone, and that we.
-
Trust Him to work all things together for our good.
-
So today I encourage you.
-
No matter what you're facing, lift up your voice.
-
And say, Lord will praise you anyway.
-
I may not see the fruit on the trees, I
-
may not feel the victory in my hands, but I
-
won't worship you because you are worthy.
-
I will bringse you because I know that you are
-
still God.
-
Oh, if you are listening today and you not know
-
the Lord in the pardon of your sins, I invite you,
-
as John three sixteen says, for God soul loved the
-
world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever
-
believes in him should not perish, but would have eternal life.
-
I offer you Jesus on today. All you have to
-
do is ask him to come into your life.
-
Believe that he is our savior, that he came, live, died,
-
rose again from the dead. He's sitting at the right
-
hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf. Confess your sins,
-
ask God to forgive you, to save you, and he
-
will let us pray to God. We pray for those
-
Lord that will trust you on today, for those that
-
may reconcile to you.
-
On today. We know that you are our savior.
-
Yes, Lord, and we thank you for coming and giving
-
your life just for us. Lord, save us right now,
-
Come into our hearts, come into our life and transform,
-
restore and renew. We praise you right now anyway in
-
Jesus' name.
-
Amen.
-
