[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back to the Disciple Ship series with me, Ambassador Elwood.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We're about to kick a hornet's nest today.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: What you aren't going to talk about something that rumbles a lot of feathers.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Halloween is coming up.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It is the season for it, and therefore we must educate you and tell you the truth on it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's what the Lord is having us do today, and hold on to your seats, because it's going to be a good one because it's the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So I hope that we help you today in this episode of Should Christian Celebrate Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You ready for this, O Wood?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, we're ready.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: This is a tough subject because like I said, some people don't want the truth of it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I understand, I was once in a place in my life where I felt the same way.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And like many of us, we have grew up in traditions and its traditions of men.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's things that we celebrate and we don't really know why, and you don't stop to question it, it's just something that you do.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And we've been mistalked, we've been deceived on a lot of the holidays.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so,
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's very important whenever you are trying the sanctification walk to get closer to Jesus that you give up things that are traditions of men and that don't honor God and you ask yourself and everything that you're doing, why am I doing this?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what does this mean and why am I doing this?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We're not supposed to blindly follow what everybody else is doing that is being of the world.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I want to narrow in specifically on Halloween because it is the season.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: people already start and every retail store there is is chalked full of Ouija boards and satanic symbols and witches and all the things that the Bible speaks against.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, we as Christians, we are not to partake.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's really no exceptions.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We are not to partake in Halloween, so that's what we're going to talk about today.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll let Elwood start with some scripture.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, first I want to say that a certain study that hollowing, you know, it's a one point, so many billion dollar business every year that the markets store sale.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a big thing for them.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a big revenue for them.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: One thing about
-
[SPEAKER_02]: the foxes, the little foxes that's pulled the vine, for a vines, have tender grapes.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And he talked about the little foxes pulled the vine.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, a lot of people look at Halloween wing that is just, there's nothing wrong with you.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it just for kids to go out and get them some candy or whatsoever.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But this is a dark side that we compromise as we teach them and so therefore it becomes a little fox because we have compromised and in the biblical days when they had the grapes fields out there the bigger foxes could get the grapes off the van the smaller foxes couldn't.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: So what the smaller foxes would do which you own
-
[SPEAKER_02]: the vine down our necks of root and it will kill the whole thing.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so we look at this as a little fox, you know, for people because they don't think there's anything wrong with it, but there's everything wrong with it, because it's bringing our kids up and teaching them that this is a night of mischief or whatsoever, dressing up in ghosting goblins and witches and stuff like this and it's absolutely, it's not biblical, it's not biblical.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, therefore, we need to stay away from it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no Christian has excuses to participate in Halloween, and, you know, when I started this journey of my sanctification of getting closer to Jesus and giving up things that didn't honor him, that was one of them.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was really tough because everybody around you's doing it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: everyone does it and everyone makes you feel like it's okay and you know everyone else is participating and so you do feel like okay well if they're doing it if my pastor's doing it then I can do it but then whenever you read the Bible you see that Jesus never once went and celebrated any pagan festivals like he would never have done that and so we shouldn't either.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no part of Halloween that has to do with Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the hard fact.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's absolutely no part of it, even when you try to sugarcoat it and justify it and try to participate in a way where you're not dressing up as anything, the scary or however it is that you're trying to compromise to celebrate this holiday.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it is.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a compromise and you're trying to justify participation, but participation is participation.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And there's so many people that, you know, they don't want demons in their life.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want these hardships, but then they let them in.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the big thing that I want to teach on because, you know, this right here, it will benefit your whole family when you give these things up, because you're not allowing demons in.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you go out and you celebrate Halloween, then you will be.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is the hard truth.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: The demonic side comes out during Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to see it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to see evil.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's all kinds of things that happen on Halloween that are no good.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and it is because people partaking in this festival.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, you see a lot of people coming out of witchcraft in the occult, and they'll do videos and they'll show us and they'll say things like, I cannot believe Christians participate in this.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, they'll explain to us the horrors of it and why it's so wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a lot on Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You'll see a lot of people say that that's their time, that they are harnessing, you know, or harvesting whatever this different energy and they are going out and doing wicked things.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, those Christians are protecting in that whenever they participate.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, I know that people,
-
[SPEAKER_01]: want to justify again because it is something that everyone else is doing but the bottle says that if everybody else is doing it and the world is doing it then we shouldn't want to that we are no part of this world that we shouldn't love this world and be a part of it and so when it comes to Halloween especially the rituals in it
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that people are not understanding trick or treat, you know, especially trick or treat is something that seems so harmless.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, oh, I'm just taking my kids to get candy.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: No honey, that's a food offering.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That is a food offering from different gods.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It is from, you know, which is could prey over it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of stuff that could happen.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And people try to minimize that and play it off like it's funny.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It ain't funny.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It ain't funny when your kids get sick.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It ain't funny when demons come in your home.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It ain't funny, whatever your life starts to fall apart, those things are not funny.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so not letting those things in is really big for a Christian, and I'm so bold about it because there are so many people that are not.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There are so many people that will tell you that it's okay, there are churches that are condoning it, there are truncertreats everywhere you go, and it is unfortunately leading you astray.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, this is a tradition, a tradition that has just been handed down for it has been handed down all my life.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And even when we were small kids, we looked forward to hell went.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But it was just something that was handed down.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And tradition sometimes is not good.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not good.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Mark 713 says, making the word of God of none affect through your traditions.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so therefore, as a Bible also says, come out from amongst them and be a separate,
-
[SPEAKER_02]: The Christian people are a separated people.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: They're separated people from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And there's no gray area in there.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But through the traditions of man, we brought our kids up into this and we took them trickle treating.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: We took them out and we dressed them up and all this stuff and had jackalainers and all this stuff, you know.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And that was just a tradition of man.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And no doubt that this is one of Satan's holy days.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I guess if you want to call it that for him and he is Amp because there is so much darkness that takes place and right today if you watch TV very very much At all they're already started to movies with a scary movie some murderers and all that stuff like that and it just opens the door
-
[SPEAKER_02]: for demonic forces, and I know that a lot of people don't believe that, but it does, and so therefore, every tradition that does not line itself up with God's word is bad, just bad.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Like you said, in Mark's Gospel there, chapter 7, making the word of God up, none of
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And when we make the Word of God are none of that, it gives leeway to Satan, to really take over.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, children are dressed up as witches, ghosts, goblins, and things like that.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And they have these, what they call these ghost houses, or...
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't go in one of them things.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't go in one of them things.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Haunted houses.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: a child for the rest of their life.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so stay out of this territory.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, it's a one point so many billion dollars a year in business every year for the Selma costumes and things like this.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But if it does not line up with the Word of God, stay out of, stay away from it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: light has no fellowship with darkness.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely right.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you are the light you have no fellowship with darkness, that means that you don't partake in what darkness does.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And Halloween is dark no matter how you spin it no matter how you try to get out of it and justify it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a dark holiday.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It is not from God.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: No part of it is from God.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And therefore we have no part in participating.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Now the last time I celebrated Halloween,
-
[SPEAKER_01]: was at a church.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was several years ago, and I thought, okay, well, if my church is doing it, then they called it a fall festival.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, okay, it's a fall festival, not Halloween, not trunk or treat.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, it's just a fall festival.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, surely everyone's going to be dressed up in good costumes, and there's going to be no darkness there, set church.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so we show up, and you will not believe the pastor's wife was a witch.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Literally dressed as a witch.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: The associate pastor was a goddess.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Her child was a demon in a zip-up black suit.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I could not believe it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I literally sat there and I'm like, I'm not only one in his whole church that has eyes to see.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And my, the only one sitting here that sees that this is not right.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That this is blasphemy against God.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that you were sitting here in church as a witch.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean imagine what Jesus would think if he came back and seen you sitting there and thinking it's funny would you describe that to him and say, oh, I was just playing.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So I sat there and I looked around and I was disgusted.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the Lord was giving me such a strong feeling like this is wrong and I have opened your eyes now and you can't close them and I was like, okay, my eyes are open and I'm not having anything to do with this anymore.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I left there.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I had to repent, I came home, and I repented, and I told the Lord, I'm like, I will not participate in things like that again.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I quit going to that church, obviously, but many of you, many people go to these kind of churches.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You go to churches that make this seem like there's nothing wrong with it, and there's a massive, massive problem there.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That is deception.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the type of deception that the Bible speaks about.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the Bible tells you that the enemy will come like an angel of light.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: showing you that things are good when they're really evil, and this is what's happened with Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: This is an evil holiday.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no part of this in the Bible that Jesus tells you to celebrate this, not even once.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I'll tell you where it kind of comes from in the Christianity why Christians think that it's possible, as they'll try to say in the Catholic faith.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: that it started out as all Hallows Eve where people were pretty much, you know, I guess being grateful for saints and it's something to do with like, wording off the spirits of bad and then something about spirits going, I guess it was just a spiritual type of thing that they were trying to say that could possibly be for good, but it's not.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Even in the Bible, it speaks against those things.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: In the Bible, you know, we know that we are in a spiritual
-
[SPEAKER_01]: you know a spiritual world we obviously are fleshly beings but we are spiritual beings first and so you know what in the Bible how it describes that it says that for we wrestle not with you know with flesh that it is principalities of darkness that we wrestle with and you know the spiritual strongholds and that's what this is this is a spiritual stronghold this is something that the enemy has painted and had a field they with that he has so many Christians being so blind
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And participating in something like this and then they come home and it's like, you know, they want to be free.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They want to be free from all these things and these chains that, you know, separate them from the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's times where people will say, I don't understand why I'm not close to Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't understand why I don't hear his voice.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, honey, that's because you agreed the Holy Spirit.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: you cannot grieve the Holy Spirit.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And what that means, you know, as a Christian, you are a spiritual, the Holy Spirit is resides within you, you have the Holy Spirit as a Christian, then when you're going out and you're partaking in things like this, the Holy Spirit don't want nothing to do with that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus has no fellowship with darkness, and so the Holy Spirit has to take a back seat.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: you're essentially telling the Holy Spirit that lives and resides within you that looks out the same eyes that you look out.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You're essentially saying, you know, I would rather participate in this and go blatantly against what God's shall mean to do than I would to, you know, honor God and to let the Holy Spirit lead me because when the Holy Spirit leads you and guide you, the Holy Spirit will not lead you astray.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But the devil, he certainly will.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we talked about the traditions and it is a parent's responsibility for the children.
-
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But we have seen the traditions down to the years come up.
-
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And I know there's been a lot of Christians question this.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: They have been a lot of Christians question Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But they never really I guess what you might say study that got into it find out where it come from and everybody on the blocks doing it everybody on the block is decorating you know and and so they don't want to be the odd ball on the block In other words, what we're really seeing we talk about the bullies in school
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And it was a peer pressure in school and so therefore, you know, they just want to go along with the flow Don't make waves or whatever may be the case and so they'll go ahead and decorate I know coming down here.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I've seen ten foot skeletons and skulls and likes and everything else out And those people go and sit and abuse on Sunday
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Very well, good day, you know, but parents have a responsibility to train up her children and so often as a Bible said you reap what you sow.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You reap what you sow.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so therefore if we sow this stuff into their kids' life and the doors of demonic powers has opened up in their lives and we wonder what's happened to them.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: When they get up of age and everything like that and we can look back up on our my friends said did we train them up the way they should go you know and so when we open these things up to them then we're going to reap what we sowed we're going to reap what we sowed when children are taught that it is all right to play with things of darkness in their life it doesn't give them
-
[SPEAKER_02]: the resistance that they need to push the darkness when it does come at them.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so I'll tell you what, we need to raise them up in the admonition of the Lord and when they get old, as the Bible said, they are not departing that way.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But it is the parent responsibility.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: God has entrusted us with our kids.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And we took our kids trick a tree.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I did.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I used to go to.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And finally, Deb said I've had enough of this and she said I'm not doing it.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: No more.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, then Deb, we went at it sometimes and I said, Deb, I'm going to hand that candy.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You said she said you can do whatever you want to do.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not doing it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Go, Deb.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I am not doing it.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I said, it's wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: It's not right.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not doing it.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And after a while, you know, I got to look into it and act with it.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Just turn my porch light off.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, who they see that what nobody home, nobody would give that candy or whatever.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: and that could go someplace else.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: The traditions that is pushed upon us, that has been come down all of our lives, and probably in our parents' lives, and well, you know, it's just handed down from one generation to another generation.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But somewhere along the line, if we're gonna make heaven our home, we've gotta look into these things and see where we're at.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: See if it lines up.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: with the Word of God, and if it does it, it's up to us to shine away from this and get away from it.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And to repent of what we did, God, we may have done it ignorantly.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so to get back on track with God.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Bible says have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There is fruitless deeds here.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There is no fruit that comes from Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: None.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: No matter how you try to justify it, I know it keeps saying that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But it's true because people will try to justify it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But there's no fruit that comes from partaking and participating.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And like I said at the beginning of this, like Jesus, we have to follow his example.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And Jesus would never have put himself in the way of going and participating in these pagan festivals.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Never would he do that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Never did he do that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And therefore that's our example that we can also, as Christians, if we're Jesus following Christians, we should not be doing those either.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know I think that like you said it's kind of a pass down from generation to generation and it's something that people have normalized it is like a blunders that we have put on we put on blunders with it and that we want to see what we want to see and you want to see the fun in it and you want to see you know oh it's just the harmless fun but it's not harmless it is hurting you spiritually.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: for sure like there's no way that you can participate in this and see the things you see when you go out and participate in Halloween and that not affect you in a negative manner it is fruitless deeds it is fruitless it does not produce fruit it is not uplifting it is not edifying the kingdom it is not you know of the Lord and therefore as Christians and Jesus followers we really should have nothing to do with it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, when you talk about, you know, the generations, there is something happening in our generation where there is chain breakers right now, there is people rising up and saying, wait a minute, why did I participate in that?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: What does this mean?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this of God?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Then why is this being taught to me?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Why am I doing this?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That is the chainbreakers of this generation, the ones that are rising up and being disciples actually following Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's mainly the ones that we're talking to because, you know, I know there will be scoffers like the Bible says is it the last days there will be scoffers.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But then we see this other remnant of people that are just hungry to get closer to Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They're hungry to get rid of the things that don't glorify God.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They're hungry to know the truth.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to be lied to anymore.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't want to be deceived anymore.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: they want to know the truth and then they start reading this word and they find out through these pages that hey this is wrong and then they repent and that's the beauty of what I see in the water and what we're doing is that there's people that are coming and they're repenting they're saying I'm sorry Jesus like I am so sorry that I participated in something that I didn't understand.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry that I had anything to do with pagan festivals.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, Lord, that I participated in the fruitless deeds of darkness.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And those are the type of people.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you, those are the type of people that God is raising up.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He's raising up those who will be obedient to him.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Who will listen to his voice.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: My sheep will know my voice.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He says.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know his voice and if you are a Jesus follower, I'm a quick saying Christian and I'm going to say if you are a Jesus follower, then you will want to do what's right.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You will want to follow the narrow path.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And if it looks like the broad road and everybody else is doing it, well that should be your telltale sign that you shouldn't be.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know what is a tradition?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I looked at a piece of tradition that is system of belief or behavior passed down through a cultural belief or practice from one generation.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: To another sister right here Matthew 15 says Pharisees was more concerned about the traditions like washing their hands Then they were the commandments of God is that Matthew chapter five that's Matthew chapter 15
Matthew 15 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_01]: 15 and then mark that it speaks to that too.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I just read that.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I just read it.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: It's only does March gospel chapter seven.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it says the same thing.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so Colossians to a night says beware at least any man Spore your youth through philosophy and vain to see after Traditions of man
-
[SPEAKER_02]: after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And this is what's taking place and, you know, like I said, this is going to rub kept runway.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he's going to squal and kick and claw and everything, but the people need them.
-
[SPEAKER_04]: The people need them.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: People need to know the truth.
-
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: The truth, as the board says, it will set you free.
-
[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it may hurt, and it may call something swell up in us that we just don't like because we've talked other ways, but to go to heaven, we've got to come out from this mess and shun this stuff because I'm telling you what, if we're going to go after the tradition of man, we're going to lose heaven, you can call yourself a Christian if you want to, but if you follow man, man will lead you astray.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: He will lead you astray.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But through the Word of Jesus Christ he will not lead you straight in and the Holy Spirit He will teach you and that's what he came to do.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: He came to teach us and so therefore as you say There's a generation of breakers the chain breakers that is rising up in our country and around the world This damn time the third they're tired of this and they won't the truth even though it hurt some They want to truth and so therefore
-
[SPEAKER_02]: If this hurts some of them after a little bit, as long as they find out to truth, that's what we care about.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That was so powerful.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It really was because there are so many people out there that won't shoot you straight.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They won't tell you the truth and it's so sad because there are selfish intentions where they want to participate in things too that they won't tell you the truth.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But when you read, you will find the truth and just like Elwood said, it will set you free.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There is so much freedom in knowing that you are not held and bound by the customs of men.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That the traditions of men mean nothing to you.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when Halloween comes around now, you know, obviously I try to avoid everything I can, but it's everywhere.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's in the stores, everywhere you go.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you said, it's a marketing scheme.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a corrupt corporation, and it is definitely massive.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So you go to any stores right now.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: The dollar general Walmart, wherever you go, they are talked full of aisles of demonic things, of things that are just not any good.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and so I avoid those things.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even go near them if I go shopping somewhere.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't go near them.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, there's a lot of people who truly get that little bit of enticement, you know, they see that and they get ruled in and they go down and they start, you know, going through the Halloween aisles and things like that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm telling you, it'll suck you in quick.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like very quickly, we start compromising.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: changing some of your own faith because that hooked you.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Now I want to tell you there's a show, I don't know if you ever watch Hocus Focus, it's a movie.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a movie, they actually come out with a new one but it's a movie and I cannot believe that I was ever so blind in my life that I would have liked something like that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I cannot believe that there was ever a time that something like that was ever condoned and I didn't see the last through it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So the movie basically is where these women let me paint this out because when you watch it you're so Deceptive that you don't see the real what's happening, but it's it's a group of women.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's three women They're witches, right?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And they are like singing and lolling like children to come to them and then they are Taking their lives and it makes them youthful
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, and this is an actual, this is one of the top Halloween movies out there.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's Hocus Pocus and that it's witches and it is they actually do spells in the movie like they do spells in the movie and there's all of this deception and all of this witchcraft and it is so real and it's right in front of your faces and you're watching it and you're loving it and you're wearing t-shirts that have Hocus Pocus on them
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, when my children were in school, the school did a, you know, they, everybody dressed up at the school for, for Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That's just what they did.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They had a Halloween night at school.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I remember pulling up and the, the principal and a couple other people.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They were dressed as those Hocus-Pocus witches.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I hear you are school teachers and you were dressed as witches that killed children.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: What is happening?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like how did our world get so blinded by these things that we just condone it, that we go along with it?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, it's really wild to see when your eyes are open to those darkness and the deceit and the things that happen when your eyes is open to that, you can't close them again.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You literally start looking at things differently and you're like, that's not right and I am not okay with it and I won't stand for it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where I'm at now.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: If I see those things now, I'm not okay with it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I will not stand and pretend like it's okay for you to be a witch when you go to church every Sunday.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: This principle literally goes to church every Sunday.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So you're a Christian, but yet you're dressing as a witch, like it makes no sense.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And the biggest problem of all of it is the blindness that we have had to come upon people.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's time that the scales fall off of your eyes.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It is time that you read this word and that you realize your actions matter.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and your participation in darkness matters.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're participating in having things to do with evil, well, that's not of God at all.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's not something that you can continue to do and repeatedly sin.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, that's what it is.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a sin.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: If you are partaking and participating, you are sinning against God, because God is holy.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: God wants nothing to do with darkness, and God is of the light.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And we are children of the light.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And unless you are, you know, walking in that and walking in faith and walking in truth, then you are with the world.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You are on the broad road.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that this is a moment of harsh truth that, like you said a minute ago, it might be, would you say, rub in the cat wrong?
-
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I call it kicking a hornet nest, but that's what it is.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It could be those moments where internally you may be getting mad, you may be thinking man, who are they to say these things, but who we are, we are just disciples of Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We're servants.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We're literally lowly servants of Jesus Christ, but he's given us the truth.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and the truth will set you free and we've seen it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Time and time again, we've seen chains break off of people.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We see deliverance all the time.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And we would be fooling ourselves if we sat here and told you that it's okay to participate in these things and you to gain your freedom and Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And then to go out and do these things and be shackled again.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So it is our duty as Christians and disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to be able to tell you the raw truth, despite if it hurts, despite if it rubbed the cat wrong and kicks the hornet's nest because we are truthful and we are so rooted in the Word of God that we are trying to bring and shed light so that other people can have their eyes open too, they can repent, they can change, and they can grow closer to Jesus through their sacrifice of this holiday, just giving all of this
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I only need you absolutely absolutely and you know, just like the principle you're talking about You know, this is one one day a year But it's just traditions and they don't think there's anything wrong with traditions Romans 12 and two says be not conformed to this world
-
[SPEAKER_02]: be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will have got that is not the will have got to do that and you know I've heard newscaster say that they dress up on Halloween and it's a tradition that that that has just taken over a country
-
[SPEAKER_02]: and more or less the world.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's wrong, it's wrong to follow this tradition and I know that people doesn't like that.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to read you Mark chapter 7, 6 through 8.
Mark 7 chapter mention
-
[SPEAKER_02]: It says, any answer said unto them, will have a science prophesied of you hypocrites as it is written.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: This people honoreth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: How be it in vain, do they worship me?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Shualainess of the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men as a washing of pots and cups, and many others such like things you do.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh!
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And my goodness, I'll tell you why he just let later.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: He did.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what, he laid the axe of the tree right there, let the chips lay for the fall.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But when we do these things, we don't follow the commandments of God.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And some people say, well, what is a commandments of God?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And we know what they are.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: The Bible said, thou shalt know how I know the God before me.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And on that one night, they've got this, uh, uh, uh, how a wing tradition, uh, before God.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: thou shalt not make unto the any grieving image.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the Sabbath day, the Sabbath day, and keep it holy.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Honor thy father and thy mother.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: thou shalt not kill thou shalt not commit adultery thou shalt not steal.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And thou shalt not kill covet.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Now, what does that have to do with Halloween?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing, what shall ever, not one thing.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so the traditions of man is really, is really, it's a, it's a,
-
[SPEAKER_02]: money scheme as I look at it but also as they are getting rich they don't they don't cure of what happens when they get the preachers dress up as warlocks or whatever they do you know so so we got people dressed up as warlocks which are goblins and yeah everything and this is not of God no no God kids can have fun other other way than to do this
-
[SPEAKER_02]: that we went to the house and I was just a young boy and followed right into the traditions of Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: We went there and I think they gave us candy but we were going to trick them anyway.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so as we went around the house, soap and their windows, they got in the upstairs and poured water down on us and it was hot water.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: God has moved him pretty fast and it's kind of funny, but I look back on that now and I think how stupid that was of me You know and that just was not of God whatsoever and the thing of it is this was our neighbors You know and it's just not it's just not good.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just not good and really honestly I was just away with it, but they won't there's too much money involved
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But what would a man give an exchange for his soul?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: What would a man give exchange for his soul?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: So the traditions of mankind, you study a mountain.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You look at them.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You see for their from.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: See for their originated front, from.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And if it's not of God, you just put them on the backbone or you still stick them in the garbage can and kick them out.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: and so we no longer give out candy at the house.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: We no longer keep the light on for the kids.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm telling you what, as I've already said, you'll reap what you sow.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And as he's kids, is dressing up a goblin and witches and everything.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And then when they get up a bold and we wonder what no world happened to him.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Why are so many of our juveniles a men is going the wrong direction and everything like that?
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And sometimes we can look back upon a life and see that we just didn't exactly raise them where they need to be raised.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a sad situation because the world's so blind to what's can happen and for so long these traditions have been so deeply rooted and none of them come from a place of good and we think about darkness and what darkness is darkness is evil murderous you know theft and all of these things occur on this one night a year and it's pretty massive too it's pretty massive of the things that which is actually due on Halloween and if you want to look that up and do your own research on it
-
[SPEAKER_01]: you will see that you're participating in that too.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: If you are participating in any part of Halloween, you are participating in their holiday.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't see them coming and participating in the birth of Jesus, even though, you know, left us a subject for another day because he was not born in the winter, but, you know, you don't see which is going and compromising
-
[SPEAKER_01]: themselves and like going to church and you know having one day and saying all right the church is celebrating this so one day we're gonna all go in church and worship Jesus you do not see that happening and you know I think it's it's one of those things where you don't see outside the box until you do and you know I have seen the episodes where people who were X witches and X you know whatever it may be participating in darkness and they've come to the light and they've
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they try to advocate for other people to show them, hey, this is wrong, and the people will still just argue to the nail because they don't want to give up their traditions.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, there's a lot of people who use the arguments and they'll say, well, it doesn't matter.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just fun.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just harmless fun.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And if it doesn't matter why you so upset, if it doesn't matter why is this up aggravating you so bad, if it doesn't matter, then why is there any sort of guilt or any sort of shame or any sort of feelings that you need to repent?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And those are there, if you're a Christian, if you are a Christian, you cannot ignore it when you were doing something wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: The Holy Spirit is trying to say, hey, you're doing this wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You may push that down as far as you can and try your best to justify but you're compromising.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, you're making a deal with darkness.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You are going and participating in that dark pagan festival.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's truly, you know, there's no good to it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's zero things, no matter how you twist it, turn it, slice it or dice it, Halloween is not for Christians.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna read some stuff that I put up on my phone because you can do very quick searches on anything to see if it lines up, by saying things like is trick or treating pagan.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And it will bring up some things.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what I googled to get this.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So listen, trick or treating has pagan origins in the ancient,
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Celtics Festival, Sam Hain, where people left out food to a peace spirits that were believed to roam during the end of the harvest season and beginning of winter.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Over time, the practice evolved through medieval traditions like soling and mumbing, where people would dress up and go door-to-door for food or coins in exchange for prayers or performances.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: The modern form of trick or treating, especially in the U.S.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: became widespread in the 1930s after being influenced by the German American traditions, and eventually they added candy to the mix.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: The ancient Celtic festival of Samhain marked the end of the harvest season in the beginning of winter.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it goes
-
[SPEAKER_01]: to tell you all of the things about spirits, about how they would leave out food and offering it says people would leave out food and offerings at their doors to these spirits and the costumes ward off or impersonate these spirits and they were a part of the early parts of this tradition.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There was also soling.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: All Hallows Eve.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: This is where the church started to kind of integrate and to take on this pagan festival.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, started out completely disgusting, completely pagan, very spiritual in the wrong ways.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But then the Catholic church comes in and makes compromises and they're like, hey, you know, we want to kind of take over this holiday and try to make it to where we can participate.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And yet it was a compromise.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what it was.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It was an actual compromise of their faith to be able to take an adapt a pagan holiday.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and to try to participate in it without losing its traditions.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you wanted to come in as the Turks should have done, and you know, took over like all the traditions of men that was there and you wanted to convert those people, then that's what Christianity should have done.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They should have converted those people and shown them the difference instead of compromising their own faith and saying, hey, we can participate in this.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just slap another label on it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's call it all halosive and let's remember the saints.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's what they try to do.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They try to make it for remembering of the saints.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But in the Bible, there's two different places where one of the saints actually says, do not worship me.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Do not, I am a servant like you, do not worship me.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's not biblical too.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: All of the disciples and all of the saints that people do worship,
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They actually don't want you to worship them, they say it in the Bible, they say worship him.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You worship Jesus alone, not me, I'm a servant.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so I know that that's a very, very big topic because there's a lot of people of the Catholic faith that will disagree.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, Jesus is the one that we are supposed to look to and have all of our admiration of our faith.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: of our obedience of all the things that, you know, that should go to Jesus alone.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, you even look at John the Baptist.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He says, like, you know, one comes after me, who's straps, I am not worthy to, sandals.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not worthy to put straps.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's explaining, hey, I'm a servant.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so many of them explain that too.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's even an angel in the book of Revelation.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And John bals down.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he said, oh, you get up.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I am a servant just like you.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so the Bible shows us the servants of God and that's, you know, that's where disciples too.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we're servants of God.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And if someone tried to come and bow down to me, I would immediately, I'd be on my feet, my knees.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be like, get up because this is one of those situations where the saints and the people that truly work for Jesus, the ones that are true disciples of Jesus, we don't want to be elevated and they didn't need her.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't want to be elevated, they were here to work for Jesus, and so all things should point to Jesus, and it shouldn't be a worship of saints at all, but nevertheless the Catholic faith tried to come in and take over this tradition of men and try to make it and smooth it over to where they could partake in it as well.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's the harsh truth of the background of Twitter trading.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like I said, it's very complex.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot on it if you want to look it up and you want to see how far back it goes.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But never does it mention Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no point in it where it mentions anything to do with how it benefits somebody who follows Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so, if you are of the Catholic faith and it's the religious tradition and those kind of things and all Hallows Eve is something that you partake in and participate in, that is of religion, that's not of Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So, who we're speaking to right now is Jesus followers, like most of our channel, most of the people that watch is, you know, our content is people seeking a closer relationship with Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you can take all of this and every bit of the roots and the traditions of men and you can see that it has no fruit and it has nothing to do with Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Therefore, if you were a Jesus follower, not just a Christian in religion, but if you are a Jesus follower, you are not going to be following him into this darkness, because he don't go there.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He don't go there, he don't participate in any of that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't tell you to participate in any of that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He does, in fact, tells you against it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He just like the scriptures that it would have been reading today.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: He tells you that we are not to partake in these traditions of men.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you want to follow Jesus, then it's not over here.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not in, it's not in compromise, it's not in, oh, I want to celebrate this and I'm going to do it anyway and then I'm going to ask for forgiveness.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not in a person who is going to conform to this modern day tradition and all of these lies in this big web that it's been spun in that it's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: If you are a Jesus follower and you truly love the Lord,
-
[SPEAKER_01]: then you're not going to want to partake in anything of this dark holiday that has been compromised and conform to by other religions and you're going to want to follow Jesus and you're going to say I'm going to take his example and I don't want any of this stuff over here even though it looks fun even though I know that my kids would love to dress up and all these things like I said you can try to justify all you want to but if you are following Jesus, Jesus ain't going that way.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know, Jesus said, if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And I believe that's the reason this ministry is doing so well because we lift up Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't lift up one another.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: We pray for one another but we lift up Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what needs to be taken place within the church.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: the church needs to be lifted up Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that they do the Trockatrix and all these in the name of Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just not right.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And I understand where the Trockatrix come from because there were so many kids going to homes that was getting candy and stuff that was had needles and apples and things like that.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so to make it safer for them, they
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But still, you can't mix light with darkness because it will not, it will not work.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so therefore, I've already said, come out from lots and be as separate, say at the Lord and touch not the unclean thing.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: So we need to lift up Christ every time we get an opportunity.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: When we witness the people, we lift up Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: We don't tell them about
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Halloween or Easter or anything like we lift up Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one that needs to be lifted up.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one that paid the ultimate price that we might have eternal life.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Halloween does nothing for me and my eternal life whatsoever.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: So it makes the word of God of none effect as a Bible says.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so when we lift up Christ, it makes the word of God effective in our life.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so that's where we need to stay at.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: We need to stay.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: in the world of God above all things and push to goblins and witches and all that stuff out away and and and parents you are responsible for your children and just like I'm responsible for mine as we was raising them up but train them up in the way that they should go.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And when they get old, they'll not depart from that way.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And as I said, you're reap what you sow when you train them up in a goodness of God.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be with all my heart that you will see the goodness of God come into life and you'll be proud.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Proud of those children and you may be proud of them today.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Even though they're going to do the trick of treating or whatever, maybe the case.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But you need to train them up in the way of the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And they need to be different, you know, whenever you teach your child to be separate and that's what the Bible says.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you are to look different, you are not to conform to the modern day traditions of men.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You are not to conform to the world.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so how cool is it whenever you teach your child to be so different and so set apart that the other people look at them and they're like, man, you're different.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's some different about you.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what people say whenever they see us, they see the Holy Spirit in us and they're like, man, there's something different.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You have peace.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You won't piece, you won't love, you won't the fruit of the spirit, then that goes against Halloween all the way.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing peaceful about terror or about horror or about things like that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And the last thing I want to talk about is how I just spoke a minute ago on the compromise effect of it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's a lot of times where we compromise in a lot of our faith.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We compromise.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: This is what the Catholic Church did, and that's whenever this merged into this big thing to work, Christians are supposed to be allowed to celebrate it, and that's what people do now.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They compromise, and they'll say things like, well, I'm just going to dress my kids up as little bugs, or as something harmless, or little princesses, and we're just going to run to a few doors.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: that's participating, that is justifying and that is compromising and even though you feel like in those moments there's nothing wrong deep down in your spirit you know there is because it goes against Jesus and you are participating and things can happen on that night that you are partaking in.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and that you don't realize the darkness that is surrounding it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And people are not realizing the spiritual repercussions that come with participating.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I think that's one of the biggest things that the enemy has leveraged with this holiday is is that he is deceiving and he is getting so many people in compromised positions, compromised positions, to where he can come into their lives in evil ways.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and that they've allowed them in, they've opened that door.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so, compromise is a really big thing.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We are Christians, we are Jesus followers, we are not to conform, we are not to compromise with anything that is of evil.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you can do with this what you want.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You can listen to these episodes and you can go and justify it or you can repent.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And let me tell you if you repent because this is what I did when you repent you see a change in everything.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I seen a dramatic change in my children to wear now.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: If I asked them if I were to even come and just say hey do you want to go Halloween or trick or treating this here?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Both of them would be appalled.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They would be like how dare you ask me that?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like they would literally look at me and think I was crazy because they realized they're like no that is evil and I won't know part of it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is so beautiful to be raising people up in the Lord, where they're so rooted in their faith that they have the light and the love of the Lord all over them, and that they're like, no, I realize the error in this, this is wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, childlike faith is real, and there's a lot of children raising up right now, and the children are the one being the change, and they're saying, I don't want to do that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Why would you want me to do that?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That's disgusting, that's wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of people that, you know, dress provocatively, there's a lot of drugs, there's a lot.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of deep dark things that that ties in the Halloween.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not just demonic.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, those things are demonic too, but it's it's just all evil.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no good in it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you are open in that up and letting, you know, people and your children partake in those things, like, like Fortnite, I did that video on Fortnite.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you saw it or not, but my children used to do that.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They used to play Fortnite.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think anything was wrong with it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and then Halloween came out.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Halloween came out.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: It was an update thing that they did.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And these children were dressing up in their little costumes in the game.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And then there was an underworld and they were going down there and there was the devil.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like glorified almost.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They had made him like six pack.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They made him like, you know, sexualized.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And he was just like sitting there like this.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: and like his legs was open and everything and these kids, young kids, I'm talking five, six, seven year olds and however, you know these kids that are playing Fortnite were going down there to the underworld and they were selling things like to the devil to get strength and all these kind of gifts and stuff.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: This was in again, this one of the biggest games in the entire world right now, it's Fortnite, most kids play it.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And these things like parents are so unaware of, and it's happening right in front of your eyes.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the next thing you know, your kids are sick, they're having demonic dreams, they're having all these things happen to them, and you're like, what's happening?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what's happening.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like we are the, like you said, we are the caretakers of these children.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, I immediately, when I saw that come out,
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't believe that I allowed my children to play that game and when we got on there and they were showing me their little, they're called skins.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: They're literally wearing these costumes of like demonic witches and demons and they'll say it on there, this is an ice demon or whatever and I'm like, are you kidding me?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so many Christians around the entire world are partaking in this game.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so the Halloween update was what literally, oh, it turned me against all of it, and I realized it's wrong, and I repented of it, and I had my children repent of it, and so much has happened good in their lives.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you reap what you sow, like it would kept saying, and these fruits, those are bad rotten nasty fruits.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: If you are partaking in things like that, and why would you want your children to see these dark sexualized things?
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and so when I see those things, I'm like, I can't believe them.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I was wherever that closed, but now, but now look, now my eyes are wide open and now I can sit here and educate you and try to open your eyes too.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And whether you accept it or not, that's up to you.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But at least I'm sitting here trying.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: At least I'm sitting here saying, hey, this stuff's demonic, this stuff's not right.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm sorry that your preacher told you it was, but it ain't.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: it ain't right and if you will pick up that Bible and start reading it then the truth will be known unto you it will be revealed to you and you will be able to have knowledge and wisdom and goodness in your life and I'm so passionate because like I said I didn't have anybody to tell me I went along with the traditions of men just like my parents and their parents before them I didn't know any better but now when you do and you know better and you don't do better you're held accountable.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So now you know better, you do better than you can repent, and you can grow closer to Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: But the options and choices are yours, do with it what you, what you want.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely, study it, get into it, search it out and I'll tell you what, it's an opener when you get in there.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And you'll see that where you once was, this was just a common practice that you did once a year whatsoever, but when you search, search in this out and you get in there and you start reading and finding out where this comes from and how it's going about.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I believe you'll turn away.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I believe that you'll be transformed.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You'll renew your mind, once again, that you'll no longer be Participant of the following of men and the traditions of men that had been handed down over time and time and time again.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And there's no telling how many years it discled back that this had been handed down.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: You know.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And like I say, some people look at it and think that, well, it's just a little compromise, but one little compromise will lead into a bigger compromise.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And so, therefore, you want to go to Heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And you want to be squeaky clean and all possible when Christ comes back and receives you unto him.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm going to tell you what, God is looking at us and He wants us to know the truth.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And just as He said the truth will set you free and I'm glad that I've seen the truth.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I've been set free.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I've been set free from this just like the Easter Bunny.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Santa Claus, whatever you may say, whatever may be the course, but you need to search just out.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And when you search it out for your own self, then you'll come to an opening experience and say, man, I have been doing some things wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: I have been doing some things that I didn't realize that wasn't right.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: And do it prayerfully.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Do it as an Holy Spirit to
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you all so much for listening to us.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I know it was a lot of hard truths today, but we will never sugarcoat things.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We are speaking from the truth and right from the word.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And that is where you can get all of your examples from.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You're not gonna find anything in that whole Bible that tells you that it's okay to participate.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: You're not gonna find anything in this whole Bible that says even anything about Halloween because it is a tradition of men.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's your truth.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Get in the words, start reading it, learn, grow, and seek the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible says that if you seek the Lord, you will find him.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: So seek the Lord with all your heart, and thank you all for being open to listen to this.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: I know that we'll have a lot of hateful comments, and that's okay.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, it's people that just want to justify their own actions, but this is between you and the Lord now.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: And we have done our part, and we have educated the best we can, so we hope that you have learned from this, that you grow from this.
-
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see you next time on the next discipleship episode.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: Amen.
-
[SPEAKER_02]: May Lord bless you.
