The Gifts of the Holy Spirit | Discipleship Series

[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back to the Discipleship series with me and Pastor Elwood.

[SPEAKER_00]: Today we're going to be talking about the gifts of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm so excited.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many people that don't even know about the gifts of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if they do know, they're not really certain of what they are, or if they have them, or how to utilize them.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so today we're going to come to you with all the scripture and the knowledge that the Lord has given us and just talk about gifts of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_03]: The gifts of the Spirit is something that every Christian needs and each one of them has give a certain gift.

[SPEAKER_03]: But one thing about these gifts, you cannot get these gifts unless you've been born again.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, correct.

[SPEAKER_03]: It does not.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so I won't result a bit at John chapter 15.

John 15 · chapter mention

[SPEAKER_03]: He said about it in me and I and you as a branch.

[SPEAKER_03]: cannot bear fruit a bit self, except if you're about in the vine, no more can you except you are about in me.

[SPEAKER_03]: He said, I am the vine, you are the branches.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's a bodice in me and I and him the same bring it forth much fruit for without me you can do nothing.

[SPEAKER_03]: So it's just like an apple tree or anything like that.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know the trunk doesn't bear fruit.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's the branches it bears fruit.

[SPEAKER_03]: And just as we are

[SPEAKER_03]: We bear fruit of the Holy Spirit that Holy Spirit gives us the gifts and so therefore we've got to be in Christ.

[SPEAKER_03]: You have to be in Christ.

[SPEAKER_03]: There is no two ways about it and so when you're in Christ and you're truly in there then God will give you a gift that will edify the church or edify Him that it can be used for the glory of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so therefore, the fruit that God gives us, let us glorify God with it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And not be ashamed of it whatsoever.

[SPEAKER_03]: But we've got to abide in Christ because He is the bond.

[SPEAKER_03]: We are the branch.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so therefore, the branch is what bears fruit.

[SPEAKER_03]: And just as a Holy Spirit gives us these gifts for the branch to elevate God, then that way we can help lead other people of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, what is a gift?

[SPEAKER_00]: A gift is something that you are given, right?

[SPEAKER_00]: A gift is not something that you earn.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not something that you beg for and that you obtain by other people.

[SPEAKER_00]: A gift is something that is given to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so therefore, we are given gifts by God.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's things about Jesus that you cannot work for, that you cannot obtain on your own glory, that you cannot get on your own circumstances.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is by God only that you get those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's gifts of the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit are things that Jesus gives you to help glorify Him, to help edify, to help uplift, to help the body of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: And each and every one of us are gifted with something special that we can help one another with.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not for self, it's not self-seeking, it is for other people and to glorify Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I wanted to ask you what a gift was because that's a big, big part of understanding the gifts of the Spirit, is that you cannot obtain them by anything but it being a gift, that God has to give it to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, I know the world that we live in right now, people try to say that they can bestow the gifts upon you, that they can give you the gifts of tongues, and they can give you the gifts of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: But that's not true, man can't give that to you, man can't give you none of those.

[SPEAKER_00]: It comes from God and God only.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I want to talk about some of the gifts of the Spirit first because, you know, what, what, what are they?

[SPEAKER_00]: What are some of the gifts?

[SPEAKER_00]: And then you can reflect on yourself and just say, hey, like, do I have these gifts?

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you don't have those gifts, there's nothing wrong with having one gift or there's nothing wrong with having many gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: It all just comes from God.

[SPEAKER_00]: So you can have as little or as many as God sees fit for you to have.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now a lot of it goes with your heart posture.

[SPEAKER_00]: It goes along with your obedience to Christ and how your walk is.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you are walking with Christ and you are talking with Christ and you are living a life that is an example of Christ like, then more than likely you're going to have an increased gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: of the spirit because you're going to be able to have discernment.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be able to be able to walk in those gifts very freely and very understanding.

[SPEAKER_00]: But if you don't walk closely with Christ, you're going to be very confused when it comes to the gifts of the spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to be confused whether you have any, you're going to be confused on what they are and how you use them.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the closer you get to Christ, the more he shows you how to use those gifts and what it is that he expects of you and how you are to use them.

[SPEAKER_00]: So some of the gifts of the spirit, you want to go over

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I can read the Galacians chapter 5 or 22, but the fruit of the spirits is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, weakness, temperance against such theories no long.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the first gift, I've always heard about the law, the first mention in the Bible, you know, and he mentions love.

[SPEAKER_03]: You can hang all these on love.

[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of time,

[SPEAKER_03]: people don't know really what love is, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: God is love.

[SPEAKER_03]: Love is the spirit empowers us.

[SPEAKER_03]: I wrote this down.

[SPEAKER_03]: The spirit empowers us to respond to God's love by showing the same love to others as well as to our opulsors and enemies.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's hard to love your enemy.

[SPEAKER_03]: It is hard to love those people that abuse you and criticize you, but through the spirit of God, we can show them that love.

[SPEAKER_03]: So Paul, in his writings in Ephesus, Ephesians chapter 3, Paul, prayed for the church.

[SPEAKER_03]: He said that Christ made dwell in your hearts by faith that you've been rooted

[SPEAKER_03]: and grounded in love.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll tell you why I always start churter if we get grounded in love for one another.

[SPEAKER_03]: You got this little click and that little click and that little click and all these clicks is messing around with people's minds and people get upset and everything.

[SPEAKER_03]: A church show will be a place of love and it's not always that away.

[SPEAKER_03]: But he goes on says in verse 18, maybe able to come for him.

[SPEAKER_03]: with all saints, what is a benefit and length and depth and height, and to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge that you might be filled with all the fullness of God, Paul was praying for the church, and he knew there was problem within the church.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'll tell you what, the gift of love, it passes all understanding, and it's not, I know a lot of people look at as love, like I thought in love with this girl, a lot of times the love they're talking about

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, really, but when you get love in your heart, you won't kill how their hair looks or what the makeup's on right or not, or whatever, maybe the case, you'll love them from depth of your heart because of that person and that they are.

[SPEAKER_03]: And this is what God, God sent his only begotten son and who said, believe it's on him, shall he have any

[SPEAKER_03]: rules as well.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so love is about giving from one's heart to another.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so we need to give the love in our life.

[SPEAKER_03]: Our world is messed up.

[SPEAKER_03]: We see so much hatred out there this day and time.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so much bitterness.

[SPEAKER_03]: And when people would just show love and compassion, the one

[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about gift the ultimate gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: The ultimate gift of the Spirit is the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: The ultimate gift is the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now the Bible talks about the Holy Spirit being a gift and it even says about being baptized.

[SPEAKER_00]: In Acts 238 it says repent and be baptized each and every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of your sins and you will receive the gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: of the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what that says.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so having the gift of the Holy Spirit like I had said in the beginning of this, this is nothing you can earn.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is nothing that you can work for.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is a gift from God.

[SPEAKER_00]: When you are gifted the Holy Spirit, when you repent, you are baptized, you change your life, you are walking in faith, you are with Jesus, then you accept the gift of the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Holy Spirit will guide you, the Holy Spirit will lead you.

[SPEAKER_00]: You will start going down a path of sanctification, that sanctification journey can take you through places to show you of what gifts that you have been given by the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now these spiritual gifts are beautiful, they are beautiful and they uplift so many people around and they are meant to bring other people and draw people near to God.

[SPEAKER_00]: But they can be used through you, the gifts of the Spirit will be used through you, your vessel.

[SPEAKER_00]: Once you have the Holy Spirit within you, then you are a vessel for the Lord and he can use you with those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I wrote down a few of them because there are a controversial talk of what the gifts of the Spirit are because in one part of the Bible in Isaiah 112, it talks about seven gifts of the Spirit, but then it talks about 1 Corinthians 128, it talks about nine gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the thing is, there's not a certain amount of numbers of gifts, like

[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to gifts of the Spirit, God is going to give to you whatever he wants to give to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is not a number of, hey, you can have this gift, this gift, this gift, this gift, it may speak of it in the Bible and tell you some references of the gifts so that you can help to be able to understand those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it isn't all the gifts, gifts just come from God.

[SPEAKER_00]: They could be specific just to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: You could have a gift that no one else in the world has.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is from God to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I like to think that I have the gift of baptism and to be able to, you know, bring revival to the country, and that's something that I don't know, like it didn't come from me.

[SPEAKER_00]: I certainly didn't want it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to go stand in the water all day, but it was a gift that God gave me.

[SPEAKER_00]: He showed me, hey, you can, you can glorify me by doing this, and I will give to you everything you need to do so.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's, it's really beautiful, any of the gifts that you get from God, you know, you lean into those and you trust him, and he will continue to increase those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, now I want to talk about some of the ones that I just spoke of because there's wisdom understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, fear of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and then again, in First Corinthians, it talks about wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking in tongues, and interpretation of tongues.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, you know, we can keep on going like I said, there's there's several things here working of miracles, um, and that goes with healing, but the gifts of the Holy Spirit,

[SPEAKER_00]: whenever people talk about gifts of the Holy Spirit, those are the ones I usually refer to because of the biblical references that we have for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Whenever you see those references, you're like, man, I understand those.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can deep-dove on each and every one of those subjects, each and every one of them has their own, you know, Bible verses and scriptures that you can look up, and you can find the context of.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I want to hit on a few while we're talking about it, I'm going to let Elwood talk one more time here than I'm going to hit on the gifts, I'm going to hit on a few of those topics of which gifts because some of them are very big and some of them are misunderstood mostly the gift of tongues, so we're going to talk about that here in just a second.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, go back to love.

[SPEAKER_03]: The Bible says, how you know that you pass from death into life, because you love your brother.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: And love, it takes in a multitude, and it will cover a multitude of sin of what God has blessed us with.

[SPEAKER_03]: And talk about love and your brother.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you don't care if what church they go to or what the nomination they are or what so if they've been born again And and save with this and and feel with the spirit of God.

[SPEAKER_03]: You love them.

[SPEAKER_03]: There's there's the whip the spirit will bear witness with one another and so therefore We need this gift more today than ever and You know, God's love is is

[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand God's love.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be honest with you.

[SPEAKER_03]: I do not understand God's love.

[SPEAKER_03]: To send His only begotten son to die for somebody like me.

[SPEAKER_03]: But he loved us so much, but through the Holy Spirit we can have that love.

[SPEAKER_03]: We can have that love that we are willing to lay down our life for a brother or sister or whatever may be the case.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, but we need this love and it's hard because but when we have this There will be so much less fighting in the world so much more kindness and compassion and all around and You know, but we need this we need this gift of blood that we don't look at somebody in judgment for the way that they look

[SPEAKER_03]: whatsoever but look at him for what God has blessed him with and a gift that he's given him that it can be edifying uplifting.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so that's what we need to look at more in our life.

[SPEAKER_03]: Do I love people enough?

[SPEAKER_03]: Do I love that person out there that I've never met?

[SPEAKER_03]: before.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we come into these baptisms and we run in so many people that we never met before.

[SPEAKER_03]: And probably will be the last time we ever see them.

[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of times the first impression is what sticks with them.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it really is.

[SPEAKER_03]: But if you show the love and you can speak life into them, they'll remember that.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I believe that is a gift of the Holy Spirit that we

[SPEAKER_03]: into these people when it comes to these baptisms and we can speak a lot into them and they can walk out there and say my goodness how good it was to be in the company of those people but we know that we pass from death into a lot because we love our brother.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to talk about the gift of tongues because the gift of tongues is one that it seems like a lot of Christians won't a lot of people want to have the gift of tongues and I understand it, the book of First Corinthians speaks of this because you know, so did the Corinthian church, the Corinthian church, they wanted all the fruits of the Spirit, they wanted to be able to have the evidence.

[SPEAKER_00]: of having those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so what was happening in that church was that they were using the gift of the tongues for self.

[SPEAKER_00]: They were not using it to edify, they were not using it to prophesy, they were using it for self.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so Paul had to go in and write this letter to correct this church that was just show voting.

[SPEAKER_00]: They were basically just doing it to show that, hey, they're Holy Spirit filled, but it served no purpose.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, God is very orderly.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's an orderly God.

[SPEAKER_00]: He has a purpose for everything he does.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're out here speaking gibberish for no reason, that's not edifying anyone.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not uplifting on anyone.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not prophesying.

[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a lot of people that try to speak in tongues.

[SPEAKER_00]: And what I call them is counterfeit tongues.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of people that speak in a counterfeit tongue.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is not really too God.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is literally for self.

[SPEAKER_00]: Some sort of utterance, it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it depends on how they're using it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Some people may go deep into prayer and have utterance.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: But when it comes to the gift of actually having tongues, we go to the book of Acts.

[SPEAKER_00]: The book of Acts shows you when the Pinnacles happens.

[SPEAKER_00]: It shows you when the Holy Spirit came down like tongues of fire on the disciples.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it says that they were able to speak and that the people could all understand in their own languages.

[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean that the disciples was speaking in 40 languages.

[SPEAKER_00]: It means that the people that were all standing there could understand and perceive it in their own language.

[SPEAKER_00]: you know when at these baptism events people come out of the water and they're speaking in tongues a lot of them are and when they're speaking in tongues is beautiful like they are speaking to their heavenly father you can see the evidence of the Holy Spirit within them as they're speaking as they are saying things and groaning from their spirit things that they can't say in their flesh that they don't understand and they're speaking to their heavenly father and that is beautiful and that is real.

[SPEAKER_00]: But then you have people out here that are prophesying all over the internet and they're just speaking a bunch of words and they all sound alike That is learned.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is a counterfeit tongue That is from deliverance ministries in this day and time that come to try to teach you they even have classes and they try to teach people how to speak this language.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not real

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not from the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: If it's from the Holy Spirit and it's a gift, it's going to be unique and it's going to be for a purpose.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I really feel strongly about this because I see people misused the gift of tongues all the time and it's unfortunate because it's beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a beautiful gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when I speak in tongues, it is beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like it is a moment between me and God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And like I said before, it's one of those moments where you can't speak from your flesh, where whatever's happening, you are speaking from your spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: In a way that you can't really comprehend, you know, the first time that I spoke tongues, I scared my kids like, fool, they were so scared because I was in my room and I had my door shut and I was bowed down like my face was to the ground, to the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was going through a lot in my life.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I was, you know, really praising the Lord and just speaking to him and I was like, Lord, just make your presence known.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I was begging him.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, I just, I want, I want to be able to show him the same amount of love that I could feel, but I couldn't express it enough.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I couldn't express how much I loved him in those moments.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, just trying to pour it out.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then all of a sudden, it just conflying out of my mouth.

[SPEAKER_00]: I started speaking different languages.

[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't just like utterance and just a few syllables.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was speaking in an actual different accents and everything.

[SPEAKER_00]: And when my kids came in, I just like, I was weeping, could uncontrollably.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so there's moments, you know, obviously if you have the gift like this, it is going to be between you and God, it's going to be beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to be for self-boasting.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to be so that you can go out here and show people, hey, I can speak in tongues.

[SPEAKER_00]: That means God loves me more.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is not accurate.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is not accurate.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what's happening.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same as the Corinthian church.

[SPEAKER_00]: where they are out here and there are people that are trying to teach people how to speak in tongues and whatever it may be and it's for self-seeking pleasure.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not for anything with edifying or, you know, prophesying.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why the Book of Corinthians talks about that is trying to, you know, show us in our day and age as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: that, hey, Paul's already corrected the Corinthian church and now Jesus is showing us, hey, we need correction too.

[SPEAKER_00]: There needs to be people out here that are speaking in tongues that realize that, you know, they're doing it for self.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're not doing it for Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then the ones that are, man, it is a gift and it is something that you should hold with high honor.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not something that is man-made.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is not something that man can teach you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is a gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is a gift from God.

[SPEAKER_00]: you know the book of Corinthians also talks about that if you speak in tongues that someone should be there to interpret if you were out in front of a congregation if you were in front of people then someone should be there to be able to interpret that otherwise who are you speaking to what are you doing it for so I think it's very important to realize that there are people that can understand if you speak in tongues if you're doing it correctly if you were speaking in tongues from your spirit and it's a gift from God then there's probably an interpreter out there that can understand what you're saying but if it's

[SPEAKER_00]: No, but I think it's really cool whenever you really find people in your life that you deep-dove in the Bible with and that you start really, you know, having Bible studies with and connecting with and then one day both of you realize, hey, I can speak in tongues and you can understand it like that is really cool.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's a beautiful gift and it's something very beautiful to explore as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if you haven't gotten the gift of tongues yet and it's something that you want, there's only one person asked for it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're gonna ask Jesus for it, and you know, he may bestow that gift upon you, but if he doesn't, it doesn't mean that you'll never have it It just may be means that it's not the time yet, you know, for whatever reason whenever he needs you to have it You'll have it, but it's not something that you should crave and desire to the point where you you make it false So that's that's about all I got to say about Tone Droneel

[SPEAKER_03]: I had a good friend, a preacher and brother out of West Virginia, and I asked him about the speaking intanges.

[SPEAKER_03]: The Pentecostal, they do a lot of that speaking intanges, and I asked him about why do they do it so much.

[SPEAKER_03]: And he said, he said, Laddy, he said, a lot of my Pentecostal brother needs an outward showing.

[SPEAKER_03]: In other words, they did it to have an outward showing, and we need it to come from the heart.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we're, yeah, absolutely.

[SPEAKER_03]: Instead of an outward showing, for God, God can use it for the upliftment and his kingdom.

[SPEAKER_03]: In other words, what he was saying, they was edifying their self, instead of edifying in God.

[SPEAKER_03]: And when we edify ourselves, we take God, put him out of the picture.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so we need to edify God more than anything.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so that's what he was telling me.

[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that had stuck with me all my life.

[SPEAKER_03]: uh... because i really didn't understand i really didn't understand and he told me he's a nutlady he said i have the gift of speaking in tongues and all my life i knew him i never heard him one time well uh... speak in tongue he did it when he was in his prayers right prayer life

[SPEAKER_03]: talking to the Lord.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so unless God just didn't move him, you know, to do it for show.

[SPEAKER_03]: Do it real, around people, what sort of maybe the case.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so he said they do it for an outward showing.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I thought, my goodness, boy, that was good.

[SPEAKER_03]: That was good.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because I didn't understand.

[SPEAKER_03]: I really didn't.

[SPEAKER_03]: So.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's some people that believe that you have to speak in tongues to be Holy Spirit filled and that's false.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of people that are Holy Spirit filled that don't go around speaking in tongues.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, I think it's very important to read up on that and be in your words so that you know these things so that if someone tries to come at you and tell you that you don't speak in tongues so you're not Spirit filled, then you can correct them because that's false.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I know that it's like he said with the outward sign of faith.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, some people have that thought of baptism too.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's not your inward your inward is is more important than the outward and no when you're going to you're being you're repenting and being baptized And it's a lot of things change, you know people come out of there.

[SPEAKER_00]: They come out of their speaking in tongues He'll deliver all things at the spirit Happened in them in that water, but you know, it's it's with their own perception if someone perceives it to just be an outward sign of faith and nothing else Then it'll be nothing else

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if someone perceives it that way, this is the same thing with speaking in tongues.

[SPEAKER_00]: If someone perceives it to just be an outward sound of faith, well then that's all it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's just speaking.

[SPEAKER_00]: But if it's something more and you're prophesying and someone is interpreting those tongues and it's, you know, for the edification of the church or if it's for, you know, even you, even the times where you're in your prayer closet and you're praying to the Lord and you're speaking in tongues, you know, it really just depends on your heart posture and why you're doing it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it's for yourself and whether it's an outward show of faith, and that's it, or whether it's something that is truly between you and God, and is a gift of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, there's a lot of people think that a lot of measures think that speaking in tongues, that's just a no-no, you know, this is a gift.

[SPEAKER_03]: It is a gift and regardless what they think or what they say about it is a gift and Like you said those people that has that gift and those people that can interpret that that language that they've speaking It it it's a beautiful beautiful thing and but there's so many after that just like you say they have abused it and It's been for their own education instead of the education of God if it doesn't edify God

[SPEAKER_03]: then it's of no good whatsoever and so therefore it needs to identify God but I have been in services before or you have two or three at the same time speaking in in tongues and nobody interpreted it and you know I was called her to a preaching revival I preached in I left you know I left it at that

[SPEAKER_03]: And so, you know, but anyway, it's a gift from God, and when people use their gifts from God that edifies God, it's a beautiful, beautiful sight because everything will be just in the right place.

[SPEAKER_03]: All the teas will be crossed, knives, and dotted, and you can tell that it comes from God.

[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have to second guess it, but there's so much abuse out there that will self- edification.

[SPEAKER_03]: And if that's what you want, then that will be your reward.

[SPEAKER_03]: We want to identify God because He's won't gave us this life.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's won't have sustained us this life.

[SPEAKER_03]: He's won't have to give us our breath.

[SPEAKER_03]: So He's won't need to be identified above all things.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so be careful.

[SPEAKER_03]: Be careful because there's a lot of...

[SPEAKER_03]: what I'm trying to say wildfire, I guess what you might say, counterfeit, counterfeit, out there.

[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, it can lead to the wrong direction.

[SPEAKER_03]: I gave somebody I had a $50 deal a day and that's all I had and they took that and they held it up.

[SPEAKER_03]: See if it had that little mark in it, you know, let's look and see if it's counterfeit or not.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I made the remark, I just run it off this morning, it's good, you know?

[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm just kidding with them and they held it up and seen that market and it was good joke I know it was but anyway, but be careful of the counterfeit be careful of the counterfeit because it looks right and May halfway sound right, but it's not right

[SPEAKER_00]: you'll know in your spirit too.

[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_03]: That red flag, the Holy Spirit, will raise that red flag in your life and you'll have questions.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: And when you have questions, then you can, uh, that it, it stirs your heart to go search it for yourself to make sure that the idea is right.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk about one of my favorite gifts of this spirit, and I love this, is the gift of healing.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there's a lot of people that God does gift gifts of healing.

[SPEAKER_00]: He gives you to be able to use your hands, to be able to place them on people, and that they will receive the gift of healing.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now we see this throughout the entire Bible.

[SPEAKER_00]: Lay in of hands is very, very massive.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's throughout the, like I said, the whole Bible, but we see where the sick was healed because of the laying of hands.

[SPEAKER_00]: We see where Jesus even placed his hands and laid his hands on people, even the children.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's so beautiful to have a gift of healing, but it doesn't come from you.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's a lot of people that will write me their testimonies.

[SPEAKER_00]: after these baptisms, and they'll say, you healed me, I've been at it, and I'm like, neter, nerp, oh, I didn't heal you enough, and I'm like, Jesus healed you.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I correct that every single time, because I'm like, you know, it may have been my hands that were placed on you, but Jesus is the one that gave the power through my hands.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's not me, it's literally, I'm just a vessel.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I explain that to people all the time, but what's so beautiful is that the gift of healing, a lot of people have.

[SPEAKER_00]: They're just afraid of it or they don't understand it or they don't want to use it because it's obviously as a vessel you're using yourself.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's not easy.

[SPEAKER_00]: Whenever you're being used that's never an easy thing but you know God can work through you and if he's gifted you of healing the gift of healing that's massive you can go and help this world you can help place your hands and help people be healed.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you know something I think's really cool.

[SPEAKER_00]: I found this out like there was a lady I was holding her hands in the water of Florida actually as baptizer in Florida.

[SPEAKER_00]: And first of all, she, she made me break down.

[SPEAKER_00]: She was the first person to look me in my eyes.

[SPEAKER_00]: And she said, I am so sorry that the medical field failed you so miserably.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it was just, it was a moment between me and her.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, as I was holding her hands, the Lord just showed me that she had to give to peeling in her hands just as I do.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm holding her hands.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like pouring into her and just praying over her.

[SPEAKER_00]: And as I'm holding her hands, I'm like,

[SPEAKER_00]: That's why you're a nurse and so what was really cool in that moment is I started to realize like Sometimes without us even knowing it like God will put us on a path in our lives and like her She's a nurse and then he'd get there with healing.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, so he'd gift her with the desire to become a nurse And then to give her the fruit of the spirit of saying here now I've gifted you with actual healing Yes, you might have went to school for medical things, but you're gonna lay your hands and pray on these people and they're gonna be healed because it's Jesus doing it

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I just saw in that moment how beautiful that is.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I do believe there's a lot of people in their lot of work that maybe, you know, don't know why they're there.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm telling you, God's probably put you there, especially if it's in a healing service.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're some sort of nurse or doctor or medical assistant or

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, anything EMT or wherever you are, they God can use you.

[SPEAKER_00]: He can use your hands for the gift of healing.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I think that's so beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: I think you should lean into it, especially if you feel this way.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you feel like God's gifted you with that, you know, one thing you can do and what I used to do actually is I would pace my porch and I would pray.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I would look upon my hands and I would just be like, Lord, give these hands that whoever they may be placed on, that that person will fill the Holy Spirit, that that person will be healed.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so you can pray these things over yourself.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can pray them and ask the Lord for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: But as I said, it's a gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's nothing that you can beg him for or obtain on your own.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you can ask him just like Solomon asked for wisdom.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can ask for things too.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can ask for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: But if you are coming from a pure heart and a genuine place of wanting to show people these things to show them Jesus through them, then more than likely God's gonna give to you with it.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's he's a good God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he wants to be able to use you to his service.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if you're asking for these things out of purity of heart, posture, then it's very likely you'll get them.

[SPEAKER_00]: So if healing is something that you've desired to be able to go and put your hands on people and pray over them and to see them be healed, ask God for that gift.

[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, in the baptism, when we pray with these people, we lay our hands upon them.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we pray that God will touch their bodies.

[SPEAKER_03]: Whatever is the problem in their bodies, that God will heal them.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, the healing comes through Jesus Christ, what He did at the cross.

[SPEAKER_03]: that's where it comes from and a lot of people need to understand that they look at it in the visual say that you heal me but that in the visual could do nothing without God.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, nothing.

[SPEAKER_03]: Move it through their life and you know that wisdom and knowledge that the doctors have, they wouldn't have that.

[SPEAKER_03]: let's God cave it to.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so everything comes from God and people need to understand that.

[SPEAKER_03]: And as we speak live into these people, you know, that's a life that Christ is given us.

[SPEAKER_03]: So we want to speak the life into them as well and ask the Lord to heal their bodies.

[SPEAKER_03]: So whatever may be the case, whether it be cancer, whether it be diabetes, or whatever may be the case.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, because Jesus bore the stripes.

[SPEAKER_03]: for our healing.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so that for as we speak this life into them and pray over them and lay your hands up on them.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the Bible even talks about Carl Fidel as a church and come lay their hands up on pray over them.

[SPEAKER_00]: You think that's what it says.

[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, so many people doubt what God is giving them.

[SPEAKER_03]: And the very reason is they doubt what's God's giving them.

[SPEAKER_03]: I believe in my heart is because they haven't read up, they haven't studied up, they don't understand, or whatever may be the case.

[SPEAKER_03]: But if God says that you can do this, and Jesus said greater things that you will do, then I did.

[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it was here, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so we just need to have enough confidence and that's what's happened.

[SPEAKER_03]: I believe in a whole other church world and people's lives because we bliped the devil still or confidence right out from nundress that we no longer have the confidence to be able to, you know, to lay our hands upon people, but this, this is a gift that God has given so many.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I wish I had to give the snap of my fingers, never personally, ever person will be well.

[SPEAKER_03]: out every hospital, nurse and home there is, but I don't.

[SPEAKER_03]: But through Christ, through Christ, we can do all things, through Christ.

[SPEAKER_03]: And we need to get that deep down in our heart and estip on the tablets of our heart.

[SPEAKER_03]: Because through Christ, that we do this, what we do.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's not about our own power, it's just too cries.

[SPEAKER_03]: He needs a vessel to work to, just like he needed Peter.

[SPEAKER_03]: Peter was a foul mouth fisherman, but when Peter got converted and got saved and feel full the Holy Spirit, they took the people out in the streets for his shadow.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, to pass by.

[SPEAKER_03]: to move up on absolutely, because he had so much of the Holy Spirit in God in his life that God would just move up on these people, you know, and I'll tell you what, the more you desire of the Lord and seek the Lord.

[SPEAKER_03]: He said, like you said, he had to have not because you asked not, and exercise your faith.

[SPEAKER_03]: exercise your faith.

[SPEAKER_03]: Just as you exercise your body to get your limbs back in mobility and get the sonos out, exercise your faith and that faith will grow.

[SPEAKER_03]: Every person has a measure of faith, but your faith can grow and so exercise your faith.

[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what's the gift of prophecy?

[SPEAKER_00]: Let me tell you, there are a lot of people out there that call themselves prophets and it literally makes me want to gag.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'll just be like, whoop, as soon as they say it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because, you know, it's not that there's no prophets in this day and time.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I do believe there are.

[SPEAKER_00]: I do believe there are still people that have the gift of prophecy.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's in the Bible.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the gift of prophecy is massive.

[SPEAKER_00]: But do I think these people that are out here showbote and call in their sales prophets, they're actually prophets?

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't because you look at Paul you look at everybody in the Bible actually that was an actual prophet that walked around and you know they were apostles they were prophets they were you know they were in power of the Lord but they didn't walk around and call themselves constantly that they didn't walk around and boast you know if anything they made themselves less than Paul even says on the least of them

[SPEAKER_00]: And so, you know, I think that it's this day in age, like it just gives me a bad taste in my mouth, but, you know, whether they be a prophet or whether they don't, you'll know, you'll know if someone is or if they're not, you'll be able to see it, you'll be able to tell that, you know, God is using them powerfully, you will know them by their fruit.

[SPEAKER_00]: You also be able to see if it's a counterfeit type of thing, if they are doing things for show or if they're doing it out of the spirit of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: But when it comes to the gift of prophecy, it is real.

[SPEAKER_00]: Prophecy's real.

[SPEAKER_00]: The first prophecy I ever had, scared me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because I didn't understand it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't know when had told me what prophecy was and therefore I wasn't sure of, you know, of any of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so I didn't realize, you know, when God gives you something, if He gives you a vision, if He gives you a prophecy for the future, I thought those things were, you know, weird, honestly, I'm like, what, what?

[SPEAKER_00]: But then whenever I had those prophecies and they would unfold and it would actually happen right before my eyes, I'm like, wait a minute, this is definitely from the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I started realizing, too, it's for a purpose.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, if I wouldn't have never gotten the vision and the prophecy of revival, I probably wouldn't be walking in revival right now.

[SPEAKER_00]: God gave me that prophecy.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, even the first time before I even started baptized, I never thought of baptism in my life.

[SPEAKER_00]: and I'm just driving by a river and I just blur out of my mouth and I'm like, one day I'm gonna be baptizing nations in the river and like my husband and kids and everybody's looking at me like, what is wrong with you?

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and I immediately, I was red face, I was like, I don't know where that came from.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, that was so weird.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was so, I was stumbling on my words and like, I don't know what that was or where it came from, but that's weird.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and you know, I'd just been very new in my faith, like really just just read the Bible, you know, just really understanding, you know, any of this, but anyways, now look, I'm baptized in Nixon and River, um, and so the prophecy, it came to pass and so did it with the first few revivals I had.

[SPEAKER_00]: I would see it clearly and not down to Elwood's voice.

[SPEAKER_00]: I heard Elwood's voice in a prophecy before I met him.

[SPEAKER_00]: and that's how a new day is going to be the revival pastor.

[SPEAKER_00]: So all the prophecies that was happening, you know, God was having to teach me because, you know, there's one thing about me is I've not learned any of my religion, I guess you would say, because it's not really religion, but any of the things that I'm doing right now and the thing, you know, walking in the spirit,

[SPEAKER_00]: None of that did I learn from man.

[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't learn any of it from a man.

[SPEAKER_00]: I learned it from God.

[SPEAKER_00]: God taught me everything I knew.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so when it came to prophecy, I had nobody to explain this to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: I had no one to be like, hey, this is what this really means.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a biblical reference.

[SPEAKER_00]: I had no like spiritual leader at all, but God taught me everything I needed to know.

[SPEAKER_00]: and now he sent me forth to try to be people spiritual leader and to show them you know what the truth of the word says and so when it comes to prophecy you know there's there's a lot of people that will start having prophecies there will be you know the Bible says that your sons and daughters will prophesy in the end of times

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's happening.

[SPEAKER_00]: They don't know why they're waking up from dreams and sleep and they're saying things and they come to pass and it's from God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so if you have that, if you have the gift of prophecy, don't be afraid of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Lean into it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I started having prophecies come pretty often and whenever they would, I would write them out.

[SPEAKER_00]: I would write it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I would just sit there and I would write down whatever the prophecy was or I would video myself and I would record myself talking about this prophecy and then whenever it came to pass, it was just an awe of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is God like down to every little bit of the first revival where the string lights were in the trees I'd seen that and so to see these things unfolding it increases your faith It just shows you that you are walking with God very closely that he's using you

[SPEAKER_00]: but the gift of prophecy is beautiful.

[SPEAKER_00]: Just don't don't be afraid of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure you're reading your Bible and understanding.

[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure you're not out here being boastful with it and you're not saying, oh, the world's going to end and all these things like you're out here trying to prophesy all that kind of stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, prophecy along with the other gifts we just spoke of, prophecy should be to edify, to glorify God.

[SPEAKER_00]: It shouldn't be for self.

[SPEAKER_00]: It shouldn't be for, hey, look at me.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know these things and they're coming to pass.

[SPEAKER_00]: It should be, hey, God's telling you something.

[SPEAKER_00]: Look at Prophet Jeremiah.

[SPEAKER_00]: Look at so many of them in the Bible that speak of, you know, that they went through things to show prophecy.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, they actually had to go through it physically to show prophecy.

[SPEAKER_00]: But for us, you know, God will give you a message.

[SPEAKER_00]: He'll give you something.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not to be fearful of prophecy.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can go and you can prophesy.

[SPEAKER_00]: you just need to be careful in how you're doing it and making sure that you are walking closely with the Lord if you open your mouth the prophesied that it comes from him.

[SPEAKER_00]: That it doesn't come from the world, it doesn't come from fear, it doesn't come from any place of self but that it comes from God.

[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, look, we look at Isaiah, your prophesied about the Savior.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and Isaiah didn't see this come to pass in his lifetime.

[SPEAKER_03]: But it came to pass.

[SPEAKER_03]: God gave it to him.

[SPEAKER_03]: He spoke it and it happened.

[SPEAKER_03]: And I've seen people prophesied, but we're all the people's life and just about destroy their lives.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so it this be very careful, very careful who prophesies up of you and because they can lead you in a wrong direction and can destroy your life.

[SPEAKER_03]: But the Bible is full of prophecies and it's going to come to pass.

[SPEAKER_03]: And just as sure as we're setting here today, those old prophets of old, they spoke

[SPEAKER_03]: to speak and that's the same way with if somebody's prophesized today they need to be moved by the Holy Spirit Not by their own feelings or not by what they think but but be moved by what the Spirit is telling them and Then therefore you had to come to pass yeah

[SPEAKER_03]: And so, but be very careful that somebody after is not trying to prophesies that you're going to be rich and you're going to own all this stuff and everything like that because it can destroy your life, because if you start believing this and it doesn't come from God.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's at counterfeit stuff that we've been talking about, that Satan sends, and a lot of people's life.

[SPEAKER_03]: It will destroy your life, but you'd be careful, make sure, make sure, whoever's doing it is led by the Spirit of God and they're speaking from the Spirit of God as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: You got anything, any other Bible verses you were thinking about pulling out?

[SPEAKER_03]: I was thinking about joy, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, as we looked around the day, we got so many people looking like a mule sucking on a lemon this day and time, you know, they have no joy in their life.

[SPEAKER_03]: And as one, that's one, the fruits of the spirit is joy.

[SPEAKER_03]: We thank a joy.

[SPEAKER_03]: We thank a Luke's chapter 15 of the late at last the coin.

[SPEAKER_03]: It goes on and says a likewise I say unto you that is joy and the presence of the angels of God over one center that repenteth.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's a huge happenin.

[SPEAKER_03]: Did you know that?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's joy in the presence of the angels of God, over one sinner, that repented.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's amazing.

[SPEAKER_03]: You look at that and we look at today's people, those of the altar to get saved, or whatever it may be, taste people, is back there yawning or digging around or pocketbooked through a piece of chewing gum or looking after watch or whatever it may be, but in the

[SPEAKER_03]: these angels is rejoicing is rejoice and that's tremendous.

[SPEAKER_03]: I read that and I read that over and over and over but but what I'll tell you what when you can when all of heaven a standing attention of a person that is getting born again.

[SPEAKER_03]: the old life is passed away.

[SPEAKER_03]: The new life is coming for it.

[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to tell you why that order making anybody jump up in shock.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know it or to it or to the halt when a man or woman comes to get

[SPEAKER_03]: to receive forgiveness of their sins and have their sins thrown as far as the East is to the West.

[SPEAKER_03]: And they can get up from there and they can have joy.

[SPEAKER_03]: Unspeakable and full of glory and the tears will flow in their life and they've been set free and we see this sometimes in our in the baptism that people has got their deliverance.

[SPEAKER_03]: They need that they've been set free from whatever the shackles had been holding in down the chains has come all.

[SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, it's a big thing, but people has gotten routine of it anymore.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it's not as big to them as it once was when they got saved or whatever it may be the case.

[SPEAKER_03]: But the entire spiritual realm recognized what was happening in somebody's life.

[SPEAKER_03]: But today's world, you talked about somebody getting saved up, that's good, that's good, they want to rejoice, they don't want a party, they don't want an absolute party, but the joy that people had, and I'll tell you what, when you have the joy of Christ in your life, you know, you can drink off the wheel like that lady at the wheel, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: You can know about what somebody says or does to you.

[SPEAKER_03]: You can smile and go right on and it may be sad in your life from time to time.

[SPEAKER_03]: You get thinking about it, but the joy of Christ that floods your soul, it will get you through.

[SPEAKER_03]: It will bring you over the top because the devil wants to keep us in the lowlands, and I stand in the lowlands, I'm standing on the mountaintop of a cannon.

[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the reason we go through the lowlands because we wouldn't appreciate the mountaintops.

[SPEAKER_03]: uh... if we didn't go through the lowland and so uh... when we get to the top of the mountains we just rejoice and uh... and thank the lord and uh... and just have joy in our life and walk in and shake our brothers or sisters hand and do it with a smile and all not with a friend yeah

[SPEAKER_03]: But the joy is a gift that God has given us, and just like today, when I ordered a piece of, you know.

[SPEAKER_03]: But I told him I said, I wanted two pepperoni's and one sauces, and they gave me two pepperoni's with sauces to do it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And he tried to say, that's okay.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's all right.

[SPEAKER_03]: It'll be all right.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yes.

[SPEAKER_03]: So we left out there smaller.

[SPEAKER_03]: And it was good, it was good, but anyway, the gift of joy that you can spread into other people's lives because a lot of people is sad.

[SPEAKER_03]: They got a lot of circumstance in their life and they've been through a lot of things that we don't know about.

[SPEAKER_03]: But when you can spread the joy in their life, it means something to them.

[SPEAKER_03]: It means something to them.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, joy and happiness, and there's so much, there's so many fruits of the Spirit, it's fruit of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's evident of the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: But the Holy Spirit is a gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: You get the gift of the Holy Spirit, and then the fruit of the Spirit is the follow.

[SPEAKER_00]: The fruit of the Spirit shows that that's the evidence of the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: But when it comes to gift of the Spirit, I mean, there's so many of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many things like I said that you can be gifted with that God can give you specifically.

[SPEAKER_00]: As we spoke of many today, we spoke of tongues, we spoke of healing.

[SPEAKER_00]: We spoke of prophecy.

[SPEAKER_00]: There are so many gifts that God can give to you specifically and lead you and God You and show you how to use them.

[SPEAKER_00]: The last one I want to talk about is the gift of deliverance.

[SPEAKER_00]: Delivering people of demons casting out demons because make no mistake that is a gift.

[SPEAKER_00]: We've seen the sons of Siva and the Bible.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they tried to deliver people, cast out demons, but they were not working in the power of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: And without the power of Jesus and understanding how to use that power and how to walk in that power in authority, then you see what happened to them.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you don't know that story, well, the demons jumped on them.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, we can't go out here without being equipped.

[SPEAKER_00]: And without having the gift

[SPEAKER_00]: of being able to cast out demons, and that comes from Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus is the one that does it, but you've got to be able to walk in those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: You've got to be able to walk in that authority to be able to utilize these gifts, whether it be like I said prophecy or healing or whatever gifts of the Spirit that God has given you, you've got to be able to be the one to know how to use those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you know, deliverance is massive.

[SPEAKER_00]: Deliverance and casting out demons.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is so biblical.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Bible talks about it continuously.

[SPEAKER_00]: We see that Jesus cast out demons.

[SPEAKER_00]: And therefore we should be able to as well.

[SPEAKER_00]: But it does take somebody walking in the fruit of the Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit to be able to do so.

[SPEAKER_00]: But like I said, if this is something that God has gifted you with, if he's showing you and leading you and guiding you on how to cast out a demon, then lean into it and learn.

[SPEAKER_00]: Really deep-dive in your Bible and learn how he did it.

[SPEAKER_00]: How did Jesus do it?

[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, like I said, the sons of Siva, even though they were saying the name Jesus, they were trying to use it.

[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't have the same understanding or the gift of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't have the Holy Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: And since they didn't have the gift of the Holy Spirit, well, then they wasn't operating in it.

[SPEAKER_00]: So being able to walk in the Holy Spirit and operate from the gifts of the Spirit is going to depend on if you are close to the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because Jesus is the only one that gives these gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: He is the only one that can, and so therefore if you want these gifts, well then you best hold fast to Jesus, read that Bible every single day, seek the Lord with all of your heart with all of your being, understand and get in that word so that you can learn and you can grow in wisdom and knowledge, and all the things we spoke of today that gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, those things will follow.

[SPEAKER_00]: But first, it's up to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's up to you to be able to be hungry.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's up to you to be able to seek the Lord with all your heart.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's up to you

[SPEAKER_00]: It's up to you.

[SPEAKER_00]: You want the gifts to the spirit?

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the Lord for him.

[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_03]: You know, Bible said, my people perish for like of knowledge.

[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_03]: And you're not going to gain knowledge if you don't get into work and read it and study it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And there's a lot that I do not know.

[SPEAKER_03]: And there's a lot that I'd like to know.

[SPEAKER_03]: So it's going to be up to me to get in there and to get it.

[SPEAKER_03]: And but more we stay in it, to more wisdom and to know more knowledge that you will get because God will

[SPEAKER_03]: how am I trying to say this?

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like pillar in an onion.

[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes you may read this and not get nothing out of it.

[SPEAKER_03]: Next time you may read it and man you can step up the side of the headbucker, a sledgehammer.

[SPEAKER_03]: What did I see at start with?

[SPEAKER_03]: But that was God's way.

[SPEAKER_03]: I've given it to you when he thought you was ready.

[SPEAKER_03]: And so therefore you just seek out God.

[SPEAKER_03]: and I'll tell you what, you cannot go wrong and you just keep studying, you keep reading, keep praying and God will give you as he sees that you need this, rely upon God more than anything, more than man and so rely upon God and he'll give you as you need.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like I said, everybody this comes from Jesus, and you know, God is love, like it would talk to you about earlier, love is the key component.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't have love and you don't have the reason to be working in these gifts of spirit, well, they're not going to work.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have to love the people.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have to have love in your heart.

[SPEAKER_00]: You have to have the love of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: so that he can utilize you and use you, you know, otherwise these gifts of the Spirit, they're useless, you know, what are you doing it for?

[SPEAKER_00]: That is something that you should always reflect on motives and why you're doing things.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you were doing it because you truly love these people, well then God's gonna give you those gifts.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's gonna increase those gifts and show you how to use them.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, measure up your mode to see why you want these gifts of the spirit, is it for other people or is it for yourself?

[SPEAKER_00]: And once you have that, you know, pretty much sorted out, then the Lord can gift you and use you.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, make sure that you were doing it out of love and that you are, you know, wanting to operate in the gifts of the spirit for the Lord, not for yourself.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, you'll see the increase come.

[SPEAKER_00]: So,

[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that we taught you something today on Gis of the Spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like I had said, so many times get in that word, read it for yourself, learn about these things.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can always look it up.

[SPEAKER_00]: If there's something that you want to learn more on, just look up what scriptures there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like, hey, what are the scriptures of tongues?

[SPEAKER_00]: And it will pull up all the scriptures and tongues.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you can go do your own deep dive in your own Bible study and figure those things out.
