Women of the Bible | Discipleship Series

[SPEAKER_01]: Women of the Bible, this is the discipleship series with me and Pastor Elwood, today we're going to be talking about a very controversial topic, women of the Bible.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is something that a lot of people have been mistalked.

[SPEAKER_01]: I myself was, I was born and raised, so they're in Baptist, and taught that women should sit on their hands and be silent.

[SPEAKER_01]: And this is something that I did for most of my life.

[SPEAKER_01]: I never really talked about Jesus, because I thought it wasn't a woman's role to do so.

[SPEAKER_01]: And that is a very big misconception in the body of Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is not good at all.

[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, it favors with Satan.

[SPEAKER_01]: Satan wants women to be quiet, because if women are quiet, well, then Jesus can't use them.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, today we're going to be talking about women of the Bible who were not silent, we're going to be talking about all of those in power roles that God put in roles to advance his kingdom, so that you can understand better about women of the Bible.

[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, there's one lady in the Bible that talks about Debra.

[SPEAKER_00]: She was one of Israel's great judges.

[SPEAKER_00]: And Debra would set under a palm tree in different tribes would come to her and seek her counsel.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, how she was very wise, very wise.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then Barak.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, before he ever went into war, he wasn't going to go unless Deborah went with him.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because he knew the hand of God was up on her.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so war broke out.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so when they went into battle, with Deborah, while they won the battle.

[SPEAKER_00]: They did.

[SPEAKER_00]: And people from different nations and tribe, to whatever may be the case, as it came and consulted with her.

[SPEAKER_00]: She had,

[SPEAKER_00]: she was uh... i guess what she might say she would just bring it and her discernment of what day was asked in her and things like that but she was one of isra's greatest judges and uh... and so and you can't take it away from her that's right cannot take it away from her there's a lot of debris out there there's a lot of churches at uh... has these debris in them because i'll tell you what probably

[SPEAKER_00]: 75% of his churches wouldn't even exist this day of time if it wasn't for the women working That's right, but then the church God can use a woman and I know that in my life time growing up

[SPEAKER_00]: that it was said that the woman needs to sit down and shut up, don't say a word, don't say nothing.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you can go through the Bible and read and see what happened when they did open up their mouth.

[SPEAKER_00]: And Deborah, a prophetess, and she was just fantastic.

[SPEAKER_01]: Did you know that Debra, she's a prophetess, she's a judge, and she does mighty things in the book of judges, but did you also know that Debra has a husband?

[SPEAKER_01]: Debra has a husband who is only mentioned once, and that's it.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, this is something I pondered on so heavily when I started ministry because there was a point in Damascus, Virginia, of all places.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was as frozen as a pop sickle,

[SPEAKER_01]: And I had been in that water for, I don't know, six hours.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was all by myself, had nobody else there.

[SPEAKER_01]: My toes were all kinds of colors.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I was just cold to the bone.

[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think I could do this, you know, this revival.

[SPEAKER_01]: And but I was baptized in people at the time, didn't know what waiters were yet.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I had a moment where I thought about Debra because I looked up on the bank and I saw my husband there in a camouflage hoodie leaned up against the tree with his camera and you know, I was trained in photography as well and I thought, why not me?

[SPEAKER_01]: Like why did God do it this way?

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, why wouldn't he switch this?

[SPEAKER_01]: It makes more logical sense.

[SPEAKER_01]: If my husband would be in the water because he's big, he's six, but five, he's strong, he has waiters, he could baptize people very easily.

[SPEAKER_01]: There was people three times my size coming in this water.

[SPEAKER_01]: I had to hold them with all my weight, but I just looked up at him and I had thought, why would God do this the way he did?

[SPEAKER_01]: We could reverse our roles here and it would be a lot more simple.

[SPEAKER_01]: and you know God showed me through the breaking and through the times of my life that he chose me and who am I to ever argue with why the God of all creation commissioned me to do what he has commissioned me to do and I got put in my place pretty pretty often.

[SPEAKER_01]: After that as I would travel and I would listen to the Lord and I would go from place to place as he sent me I started to learn how to listen to his voice and you know people learned to listen to my voice as he spoke through me as I would bring the lessons every single day And you know over 21,000 people have now come to be baptized and come closer to the Lord Jesus Christ And I'm not saying that to brag at all.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying it to show you that if I was silenced

[SPEAKER_01]: If I was quiet, like a lot of people want me to be, then there would be a lot of people who would not be on the path to heaven.

[SPEAKER_01]: There would be a lot of people that wouldn't have found salvation.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is because my mouth opened and I proclaimed the name of Jesus Christ and I taught as I was instructed to do by the Lord that people found Him.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm so passionate about this because I had that moment too.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was trained to where I thought women was not supposed to work in ministry.

[SPEAKER_01]: I looked up over it, my husband and thought, why not him, why me?

[SPEAKER_01]: And then the Lord showed me that he is God of all creation.

[SPEAKER_01]: He can choose a man, a woman, a donkey, or anybody to fulfill his will.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're not to question the creator on who he chose or why he chose them.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're just to follow in how he guides us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely, you know you take Esther, for example, her mom and dad had got killed and so Morticaia was her uncle and so therefore when Esther became queen while you know war broke out between Hamon and the Jews because Hamon did not like them.

[SPEAKER_00]: But you can trace all that back and you can see God's hand move upon Morticae and Esther as he brought them in and you know she became a queen there and then God used her greatly inside that kingdom that they didn't even know that she was a Jew at this time and so God used her greatly but through Morticae as he heard two men talking getting ready to assassinate the king when he told Esther about this and they wrote this down.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so, make a long story short, the Jews were getting prosecuted, they were getting murdered, and so Esther went in before the king, when she had them to pray and fast for three days, neither either drink anything.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then she said, if I perish, I perish.

[SPEAKER_00]: But God used Esther to save a nation.

[SPEAKER_00]: And as Mordecai, I told her, said, if you don't do it, God will raise somebody else up.

[SPEAKER_00]: So she was placed it in this time and for these people, and she came through.

[SPEAKER_00]: And even though it may cost her her life through Esther, as God worked through her.

[SPEAKER_00]: He worked through her to get these Jews delivered from all over the nation and so God can use women.

[SPEAKER_00]: He can use women greatly and just like women today.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm afraid some of them have had or been so many been too silent too long.

[SPEAKER_00]: and because women can reach people that I can't, and I probably reach people that Kayla can, but still we got our place, and if we will take our place and let God use us, then we can see hopefully another 20,000 baptized this year, you know.

[SPEAKER_01]: That is right, amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: I was made for such a time as this.

[SPEAKER_01]: That is a famous scripture from Esther.

[SPEAKER_01]: So Queen Esther ended up saving her entire lineage of people because of her boldness because she wouldn't step down because she was not silent.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then we even go back further to in Exodus where Miriam, who was Moses and Aaron Cister, she was a prophetess.

[SPEAKER_01]: We see this a lot in the Old Testament where

[SPEAKER_01]: People do mention these women who were prophets.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know that a lot of times people like to discredit and try to overlook this, but it is biblical.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is in the Bible.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so we're going to look at a few more examples of women in the Bible.

[SPEAKER_01]: As we said in the Old Testament, we've already covered Miriam, we have covered Esther and Deborah.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hannah, Hannah was also a prophet.

[SPEAKER_01]: prophetess.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you call him, I guess it's prophetess, but you know, to be it's just a prophet.

[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, Hannah was as well.

[SPEAKER_01]: But then we go to the New Testament.

[SPEAKER_01]: The New Testament is so important to realize what Jesus did for women in ministry.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is so important because Jesus is the example for all of us.

[SPEAKER_01]: How Jesus acted, how He treated women, when He called women to do different things.

[SPEAKER_01]: That is those examples that we need to be looking at as Christians, as people that are Christ followers.

[SPEAKER_01]: We should look at what Jesus did so that we can

[SPEAKER_01]: So we see this far back to win the woman at the well.

[SPEAKER_01]: She was the first person to go and proclaim to the people who were not Jews, to the Gentiles, and all people that Jesus Christ was who he says he was at the Messiah was here.

[SPEAKER_01]: She went and she told everybody.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, for her going out and then they ended up trying to come to see what she was talking about.

[SPEAKER_01]: So people believed her.

[SPEAKER_01]: People heard her say, hey, you got to come see about this man that told me everything about my life and they did.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so she was the first one to spread the news.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then we go look at the ultimate example, which is Mary Magdalene.

[SPEAKER_01]: The first person commissioned to go and tell the good news that Jesus Christ enters her as you're elected.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Jesus could have went to anybody.

[SPEAKER_01]: He could have went to his disciples.

[SPEAKER_01]: He had beloved John.

[SPEAKER_01]: He had Peter.

[SPEAKER_01]: But he ended up going to Mary Magdalene.

[SPEAKER_01]: So when Jesus was resurrected, the first people he went to were women.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he went to Mary Magdalene and he told her, he said, you go tell the disciples.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, even the disciples had a hard time believing it.

[SPEAKER_01]: They said, he told you a woman to come tell us.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, he did.

[SPEAKER_01]: So Jesus said an example in that moment that he told a woman to go and preach, to go and proclaim the good news.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now you want to talk about women preachers because that is a big deal to some people and I understand it.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know there was once the time when I was little my mom took me to a church and you know I've been to all the nominations I've been to so many different kind of churches and my mom took me to this church and there was a woman preacher And I was baffled because you know at that point I was raised Southern Baptist so I had like looked around and I'm like what is this and this lady was preaching?

[SPEAKER_01]: I was biblically you know ignorant

[SPEAKER_01]: And now I see that with a lot of the people today if someone comes and they try to say anything about women in ministry a lot of times I just have to say you know what they just don't know they haven't read the whole Bible or they don't know the context of the Bible And I just talk it up to the same way I used to be where I was just not knowledgeable

[SPEAKER_01]: you know I see a lot of people that ask me are you a woman pastor and to that I say no because I don't see myself as a preacher I see myself just as an evangelist I see myself as a nobody I'm just a Christ follower I am a worker a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ and that's what I call myself

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and so whenever people ask me that question, which is asked often, are you a pastor?

[SPEAKER_01]: I usually say no.

[SPEAKER_01]: I say no.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm an evangelist.

[SPEAKER_01]: I do go and teach the Word of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: I do go and proclaim the name of Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if you want to put a label on it and call it a pastor or a preacher, then that's fine.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't call myself that.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not head over a church.

[SPEAKER_01]: Um, now I do have a ministry.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Lord Jesus Christ gave me this ministry and He told me to lead it.

[SPEAKER_01]: and here I am.

[SPEAKER_01]: With this, there's a lot of controversy of if women can preach.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to tell you about a few people that were preachers and teachers in the early church.

[SPEAKER_01]: We have Priscilla, Priscilla and Aquilo, they were husband and wife that had an early church house.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, back in that time, culturally, you would always put the husband's names first.

[SPEAKER_01]: But in this time, in the Bible, it is written with Priscilla first.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I want to tell you that Priscilla actually talked the great

[SPEAKER_01]: So if anybody tries to say that women can't teach, well, then how did she teach Apollos?

[SPEAKER_01]: He became one of the greatest early church leaders of all time, but it was Priscilla who taught him.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then you go to someone like Timothy.

[SPEAKER_01]: Timothy's dad was not a believer, so his mother and his grandmother was the one who taught Timothy.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now back in the early church, there were a lot of women who led house churches.

[SPEAKER_01]: They led the churches.

[SPEAKER_01]: They had house churches back in the time because after Jesus' resurrection, the church was persecuted.

[SPEAKER_01]: They started having a hide, they started having to have house churches because of people that proclaimed Jesus and that believed in Jesus, well they were hunted down, even old brother Paul.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was hunting down people at one point in time, but they were dragging people out of their houses and killing them and persecuting them so they had to hide and have house churches.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now there were women over some of these house churches and it's important to remember their name so we have Lydia, Chloe, Nymphia, Ophia, Priscilla, Tabitha,

[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, this one's hard, a triphenia and trihosa.

[SPEAKER_01]: I probably just butchered those names, but anyways, those two were fellow workers of Paul's actually, but the others led house churches.

[SPEAKER_01]: And basically in these house churches, they told about Jesus.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, really quickly, I have a few more written down here because Phoebe was a deacon.

[SPEAKER_01]: She was recognized in Roman 161.

[SPEAKER_01]: Junio was recognized as an outstanding apostle in Roman 167.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was very important to note those people because those were women that led the early churches.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's really neat that God used them to be able to proclaim, and to be bold enough to do it in that time, not caring whether they face persecution, not caring whether people came and dragged them out of the houses, they boldly talked about Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know in our day and age now, this is where we have faltered.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is where a lot of people have not picked up their callings, because they're not taught to, because they're scared to, because they think women can't teach.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you, I just named a bunch of women teachers in that Bible.

[SPEAKER_01]: If God has put it on your heart to talk about him, to read from the Bible and to teach people about him, you gotta do it.

[SPEAKER_01]: That is a calling on your life.

[SPEAKER_01]: That only you can fulfill.

[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody else can pick up that calling and fulfill it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just like Elwood said earlier, he can reach people that I can't reach and I can reach people that he can't reach.

[SPEAKER_01]: Every one of us is needed to be able to build the body of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Priscilla and Aquila, about occupation, they were tent makers.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so they took Paul in.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so when Claudius, the Emperor Claudius had run all the Jews out of Rome, as they took Paul in as a business partner, and when they lived Rome there, they started a church in Ephesus and a secret.

[SPEAKER_00]: And, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and

[SPEAKER_00]: We need to come together and work for the cause of Christ to enlarge the kingdom of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Whether it be male or female, you know, because in heaven, as the Bible said, there are neither male nor female.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so as we work together, just like alone in these baptism, you know, we don't hear who baptized who or how many of that would baptize or whatsoever.

[SPEAKER_00]: As long as these people, as they come to the water, get their needs in the hands of Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's all that matters.

[SPEAKER_00]: That is all that matters.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so as we work together on this, this is the same way that men and women need to do today in the church as well work together.

[SPEAKER_00]: And don't put somebody down just because they're a female or whatever may be the case.

[SPEAKER_00]: And because Jesus Christ is a centerpiece of everything, it's everything.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's all about him.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, there are two scriptures in the Bible that people will base all female roles off of.

[SPEAKER_01]: Paul is addressing a specific church and a specific culture to be able to tell them to have order back in the church.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now those two scriptures will be taken so out of context that people even now for thousands of years later will be throwing them up to try to make women be silent.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you study that self-approved, you will understand the context behind those scriptures and why Paul said them.

[SPEAKER_01]: Paul had a lot of women in ministry all around him.

[SPEAKER_01]: Paul did not tell all women to be silent.

[SPEAKER_01]: If so, then Paul wouldn't have had prophets and apostles of women.

[SPEAKER_01]: He wouldn't have had a woman apostle or a woman prophet if he wanted all women to be silent and to not have a voice for Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: So, that is a very wide misconception.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, these two verses, if you want to look at them and really dissect them, Paul was talking to this specific group, these women had just now got their newfound freedom in Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: These women had not studied that self-approved yet because they didn't know anything to study.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were new in Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so, they had a lot of questions.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were disorderly because of these questions.

[SPEAKER_01]: They would come into church and they would have so many questions because they were confused, they didn't understand, and so Paul was telling them, be quiet.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you have questions, ask your husbands at home.

[SPEAKER_01]: Ask whenever you're not in front of this big congregation.

[SPEAKER_01]: Ask whenever it doesn't disrupt the congregation.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so for people to take those out of context, and to think that women need to be silent, well, it's just ignorance, because that's not what Paul said.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, if Paul had said that, then Paul himself would not have fellow workers alongside of him.

[SPEAKER_01]: He would not have mentioned them in the Bible.

[SPEAKER_01]: He would not have allowed them.

[SPEAKER_01]: to teach, to preach, to do anything, any works for Christ, if he felt that way.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, then we look at Jesus.

[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus is the ultimate example, and Jesus calls women to ministry throughout the entire Bible.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so, study that self-approved.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't take two verses out of context and think that women need to be silent because that is plumbing.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, when we was in Israel over there, we went to Corinth, and we got to understand the culture of that day, and that day that women said on one side and the men said on the other side.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so Paul told the women keep silent because they was asking her husbands on the other side, and it was creating a commotion within the church.

[SPEAKER_00]: And also in that culture, women was considered low.

[SPEAKER_00]: So they didn't get the same education as the man did.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so therefore, they didn't have them to teach or anything like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm telling you what, Jesus Christ, he can raise a woman up as same as he can a man.

[SPEAKER_00]: God can do anything he wants to do.

[SPEAKER_00]: He can do anything he wants to do because he's God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they're in a thing that a man can do about it.

[SPEAKER_00]: We want to take as many people to heaven as we possibly can with his.

[SPEAKER_01]: Did you know that women funded Jesus ministry?

[SPEAKER_01]: It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Susanna.

[SPEAKER_01]: And they helped fund Jesus ministry.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then you see the corruption of Judas.

[SPEAKER_01]: Judas Hart, his heart posture was not right.

[SPEAKER_01]: When he came into the treasury and he decided he had something to do with money.

[SPEAKER_01]: He led it wrong, but those women were providers.

[SPEAKER_01]: They are those women, help provide for Jesus' ministry.

[SPEAKER_01]: They followed him the entire time.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, we look even whenever he was crucified.

[SPEAKER_01]: And Jesus is on the cross.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's only one disciple, John, that stayed and watched him be crucified.

[SPEAKER_01]: But you know who the others were, the women.

[SPEAKER_01]: The women stayed around.

[SPEAKER_01]: The women watched him be crucified.

[SPEAKER_01]: The women stayed and went to the tomb.

[SPEAKER_01]: The women went and anointed him.

[SPEAKER_01]: The women had the oils.

[SPEAKER_01]: The women were the first ones that he came to after his resurrection because of their obedience, because of their love, because of their devotion.

[SPEAKER_01]: They were very, very near and dear to Jesus Christ's heart.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so when people try to discredit women and try to make it seem like that women can't do anything for Jesus, will they always have?

[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus sees women, just as he sees men, Jesus sees all people that work for him and he calls people according to his purpose, according to his will.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, that's something we have to remember, that it's not our will be done.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not our mindsets and what we think should happen or how we think things should go.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's up to Jesus.

[SPEAKER_01]: Jesus can use anyone he wants to use.

[SPEAKER_01]: We are all just vessels.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, there's a lot of people that don't answer their calling.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of people out here who are called to be preachers and they never answer that call.

[SPEAKER_01]: So then he rises someone else up and that person may not look like what you want them to look like, but they're still a worker of Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a servant of God shows their fruit.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible says that you will know them by their fruit.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if someone is out here working and building up the kingdom of God, then anybody coming against them for any reasons is usually out of their own hearts to see their own pride, their own arrogance.

[SPEAKER_01]: and it is not working for Jesus.

[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of times when someone's working for Jesus and that fruit is showing, then it's going to make somebody who's being idle and complacent, look like they're doing nothing, and then those emotions come up of them wanting to take that person down, the cause of their own complacent.

[SPEAKER_01]: But this can be changed.

[SPEAKER_01]: We all have a role to fulfill as Christians as workers for Christ.

[SPEAKER_01]: We all have something that we can all be doing for the sake of Christ, for the cause of Christ, to build up His kingdom.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Christians should be building up the body of Christ, never tearing it down.

[SPEAKER_01]: Christians should never be stoning one another.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's just not the way that we should act as Christians.

[SPEAKER_01]: We should be building up the kingdom of God and making heaven crowded.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ, the people that came to him, he never turned them away, where they was male or female.

[SPEAKER_00]: He did not.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he blessed them.

[SPEAKER_00]: You take Anna.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, her husband had died.

[SPEAKER_00]: And she was in the temple when Mary brought Jesus in there.

[SPEAKER_00]: And she served the Lord continually.

[SPEAKER_00]: She did not get married again.

[SPEAKER_00]: She served the Lord continually.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, God needs your voice.

[SPEAKER_01]: God needs the voice of his people, especially in this day and age.

[SPEAKER_01]: He needs the voice of women, just as he needs the voice of men, just as he needs the voice of children.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Bible says that your sons and daughters will prophesy.

[SPEAKER_01]: That means that they will have a place to be able to go and use their mouth and proclaim that Jesus Christ is coming back.

[SPEAKER_01]: That Jesus Christ is King.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if someone is preaching and teaching the gospel,

[SPEAKER_01]: And they are trying to show people who Jesus is.

[SPEAKER_01]: If there's a person, no matter what their intentions are that come against that person, that is a servant of the Lord, then the wrath of God will be upon that person.

[SPEAKER_01]: That will be on their judgment day.

[SPEAKER_01]: So you just keep your head held high.

[SPEAKER_01]: No matter what it is that God has called you to do, you go and fulfill it because you will be accountable to what you do, not what others do.

[SPEAKER_01]: If others people try to stone you, try to shut you up, try to make you be quiet while that's on them.

[SPEAKER_01]: You listen to the Lord, you listen to what He has called you to do, whether you are a man, whether you are a woman, you go and you do what Jesus Christ has called you to do.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if it is to teach, if it is to preach, if it is to baptize, if it is to prophesy, whatever the gifts of the Spirit are that He has given you.

[SPEAKER_01]: go and use them, use them for his glory, use them for the building up of the kingdom of God, and you will be rewarded.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Bible says to never get tired of doing good.

[SPEAKER_01]: Never get tired, no matter what people say to you, no matter how they try to hinder you or stop you, never tire of doing good.

[SPEAKER_01]: For your reward will be in heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, yeah, you just wear it back and let it rip their chip and I'll tell you what God will bless you God will bless you, but you do what the Lord tells you to do No matter what because I'm telling you what time is time is short and we got very little time to work And so while we do work, let us do it but the cause of Christ and What he did for us at the cross of Calvary and so you just just listen to the Lord and

[SPEAKER_00]: and lean upon him and he'll lead you and guide you every step of the way.

[SPEAKER_01]: So to wrap it up here, the Bible talks about women a lot.

[SPEAKER_01]: Women in powerful roles, women that work for God, women that truly advance the kingdom of God, and God is still using women.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just as he's using men, he is using women.

[SPEAKER_01]: So let your voice be known, go out and proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord, go tell people, go evangelize and tell people about Jesus Christ in boldness, not in shame, not in condemnation, not in worry of what other people will say, but in boldness.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know the Bible isn't contradicting.

[SPEAKER_01]: It says what it says and it means what it says.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to go against itself in any former faction.

[SPEAKER_01]: The entire Bible, God talks about women in their roles.

[SPEAKER_01]: He does it for a reason, he does it for a purpose.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's for our education and our training.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't take two verses that pulse it out of context and to make you think that the Bible contradicts itself.

[SPEAKER_00]: As Galacians chapter 3, verse 27, 28 says, For as many of you as having been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is neither Jew nor Greek.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is neither bond nor free.

[SPEAKER_00]: There is neither male nor female.

[SPEAKER_00]: For ye are all.

[SPEAKER_00]: one in Christ Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we're all one body in Christ Jesus and that body functions.

[SPEAKER_00]: It has different parts but it functions as one and therefore that's the way it needs the function.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's the way God has set it up and that's the way that Jesus Christ will have it to function in one.

[SPEAKER_01]: So that's right.

[SPEAKER_01]: unity in the body of Christ.
