It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast with Rhonda Harrison on 1017

Bay FM.
-
Good morning and thank you for joining me for Champions in Christ this morning.
-
What a great day it is to be alive. What a great day it is to serve the Lord
-
Jesus Christ. He's an amazing God and he has an amazing plan for your life today.
-
We're going to get into the word of God and I want to start in the book of Psalms.
-
We're going to start with Psalms 1914. It says, Let the words of my mouth and the
-
meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Redeemer. You know,
-
our words are powerful. The Bible says life and death are in the power of the
-
words. So we have to think about what are we speaking every day? What are we
-
speaking? Are we speaking life or are we speaking death? Everything that comes out
-
of your mouth is going to be one or the other and anything in between are idle
-
words, which we don't want either. So we always want to speak life life. You know,
-
Psalms 30 34 verse 1 says, I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall
-
continually be in my mouth. Why should we continually pray praise the Lord
-
because of all that he's already done? You know, he's created this beautiful
-
earth. I mean, we can find beauty in everything. If you look deep enough, you
-
know, beauty in nature outside, beautiful in the animals, beauty in everything,
-
most of all beauty in the hearts of his people. You know, also in that same
-
Psalm in verse 13, it says, keep your tongue from evil and from guile, which
-
is deceit. You know, every negative thing that comes out of our mouth has a
-
consequence and every word of life that comes out of our mouth has a reward. You
-
know, God is good. The devil's bad. And so when we allow God to fill our mouths
-
and his word to fill our hearts, then we're going to see life and we're going
-
to see strength and we're going to see his power move amongst us and in our
-
lives. When we have faith, when faith fills our heart, because we've been in the
-
word of God, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word, it's
-
going to inspire us to step out and act in faith and then get a just reward. And
-
remember from last week, God, God rewards faith, right? Without faith, it's
-
impossible to please him. So let's move on to Psalm 141.3. It says, set a guard over
-
my mouth Lord and keep a watch over the door of my lips. You know, how many times
-
have we said something and we thought, oops, can I reel that back in? Can I get
-
that back? Can I get those words and take them back? And you can't. The thing
-
about words is once they're out, they're out. Now we can repent and we can ask for
-
forgiveness and we can humble ourselves. But really, if we think before we speak,
-
it works out a lot better. But sometimes we don't do that. All of us,
-
including me. Proverbs 16 24 says gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweet to
-
the soul and health to your body. That's right, health to your body. Sweet words,
-
sweet words, words of life. Proverbs 10 11. The words of the godly are a life
-
giving fountain. Wow. A life giving fountain or should be the words of the
-
godly. What do I mean by godly? Those that have received Jesus as their Lord and
-
Savior. When we've received Jesus, remember we become a new creature in
-
Christ. Old things are passed away. Behold, we become new. You're brand new. Now our
-
mind isn't. So we have to renew our mind so our mind can get caught up with our
-
spirit. But you are a new creature in Christ. You are not the old man that's
-
been passed away. So why act like him? Right? So let's continue. Proverbs 21 23
-
says whoever keeps his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from trouble. Oh, amen to
-
that. Remember in school, remember, you might have had a trouble maker or maker
-
or two in your class and their mouth always seemed to get them in trouble.
-
Right? Maybe you were that guy. Maybe not. Okay. Well, in Proverbs 18 21, that's what
-
I started with. Death and life are the power and our death and life from the
-
power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit. That's right. You
-
declare your harvest with the words of your mouth. So I want to ask you, what
-
are you speaking? Think about your words. What did you speak today or yesterday for
-
this past week? Were you speaking life to your situation or death? And we all have
-
trials. We all have those curveballs thrown our way, but it's what we do with
-
them. You know, it's that old saying, if you get dealt lemons, do you make lemonade
-
or do you let the lemons rot? You know, and a lot of things we form, we form by
-
our words first. You know, Matthew 12 37 says for by your words, you will be
-
justified and by your words, you will be condemned. You know, even in receiving
-
Jesus as our savior, we have to believe in our heart and confess with our mouth.
-
Right? So you have to receive that free gift from him, but you confess it with
-
your mouth confession is made into salvation. So words are extremely
-
powerful, extremely powerful. You know, in Philippians 214, it talks about about
-
murmuring and complaining. You know, murmuring and complaining is something
-
God is not happy with. And neither are people think about it. Do you like to be
-
around people who murmur and complain all the time? No, it is not fun. Yuck three
-
times. Yuck, yuck, yuck. You know, Philippians 214 says, do everything without
-
complaining and arguing. This is a new living translation so that no one can
-
criticize you live clean and innocent lives as children of God shining like
-
the bright lights in the world in a world full of crooked and perverse people
-
hold firmly to the word of life. And then on the day Christ returns, you'll be
-
proud that you did not run the race in vain words and my work was not useless,
-
was made useless. You know, that's the thing. Our words will lead our future. So
-
and where do we get our words from out of the abundance of our heart? The Bible
-
says out of the fullness of your heart, your mouth speaks. So whatever is in
-
there when the pressure is on or even just during the day, it's going to come
-
out of your mouth. And so we want what's going in to be good, right? You can only
-
make a withdrawal on what you've deposited in that right about the bank. So
-
it's right about your heart. You can only withdraw what you put what you have
-
deposited. So we all want to definitely be depositing the positive things in
-
life, right? We want to be depositing most of all the word of God. And why is
-
it? Why do we struggle with that? Why do men and women everywhere struggle with
-
that? I mean, when we look at our example, our Lord Jesus Christ, he never, he
-
never sent, right? Many of us send with our mouths and way too often, way too
-
often. And why is that? I think we can find that answer in the book of Galatians,
-
right? It says, for all the laws fulfilled in one word, even this, that you
-
love thy neighbor as thyself. This is Galatians 5 14. And we're going to keep
-
going. But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you not be
-
destroyed by one another, you know, you can destroy someone with your words and
-
those words, you can't get back. And it takes sometimes a long time for someone
-
to open their heart and let God heal, heal those words that have been saying,
-
he can take that pain out. If you are someone who you have been verbally
-
abused, either provoked or unprovoked, God can come in. That's the power of God
-
that can come in and set you free. He can remove those. He can heal every broken
-
place. It says this, this I say then walk in the spirit and you'll not fulfill
-
the lust of the flesh for the lust for the flesh, lust against the spirit and
-
the spirit against the flesh. And these two are contrary one to another. So you
-
cannot do the things that you would. But if you be led by the spirit, you are
-
not under the law. Why? Because the spirit is the Holy Spirit living in you,
-
right? Now the works of the flesh are these, which are made manifest, adultery,
-
fornication, uncleanless, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,
-
jealousies, division, strife, heresies, envy, murdering, drunkenness, revile,
-
such of these, which I tell you before and I've told you in times past, they
-
which do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
-
You know, we want to live after the spirit. We want to bear the fruits of the
-
spirit. We don't want to engage in our flesh. You know, Jesse DuPlanis says a
-
lot of times, let that old man be dead and buried. Don't let him come out of the
-
coffin because, you know, people can rile you up. They can get under your skin, so
-
to speak, and it can draw that old man out. Well, you want to hammer that coffin
-
shut and you want to fill yourself with the word. You know, something I do that
-
really helps me is I pray and I say, Lord, give me eyes to see people the way you
-
see them and give me a heart to love people the way you love them.
-
Because when you are looking through the eyes of Jesus
-
and your heart's filled with Jesus, you won't react.
-
You'll respond just like Jesus did. You know, we can react in our flesh, but we
-
respond. We want to respond and not react. So let's go on to verse 22, but the fruit
-
of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
-
meekness, temperance, which is self-control and against such there is no law.
-
For they that are Christ, if you have been born again, you are Christ,
-
crucify the flesh and the affections and lust.
-
So if you have ill affections, if I listed something and you go, oh, ouch,
-
that's me, then you want to repent of that and you want to get that out and you
-
want to replace it with God's Word so that the power of God is made manifest in you.
-
And that will draw others to Christ and it will draw others to you in a loving manner.
-
You know, we've got to love the way Christ love, right?
-
It says in verse 25, if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
-
Let us not be desirous of vain glory provoking one another and envying one another.
-
You know, that's the heart of God. The heart of God is for us to
-
to share the love, the joy, the peace, the kindness.
-
And how many of you know how bad we need that in this world today?
-
If we want Jesus to be pleased with us, he wants us to love our neighbor as our
-
self. He wants us to go out of our way to be a blessing, right?
-
God has blessed us with the Holy Spirit and the power of God to be a blessing.
-
You know, you can pray for the sick and they will recover.
-
There are lots of things, promises in the Word of God for the chosen of God.
-
And you say chosen. Yes, God has, it's his will, John 3 16, that none would perish,
-
but everyone would get saved to the glory of God and go to heaven one day.
-
But will everybody know? Unfortunately, not. But we, we still keep trying.
-
We still keep sharing. We still keep loving. We still, because eternity is forever, is forever.
-
You know, I want to share some, some things and these are all scripturally based.
-
And I want you to say this with me because out of our mouths should be the things of God.
-
He's got big plans for you, but you've got to speak that as well as have
-
action towards that dream or that goal. You know, and some of these things,
-
you want to get down in your spirit where you know them because it's the power of God.
-
Those words will become life to you and they will become,
-
they will begin to move you in the direction and in the right mindset for God to bless you with those plans.
-
He says he's got great plans for you, plans to prosper you, not to harm you,
-
plans to give you good success, but it's on us. You know, we've got to do what the word of God says, right?
-
All right, so say this, I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
-
That's who you are when you're born again. You have become his righteousness. We aren't
-
righteous in our own being. No, before Christ, our righteousness is as filthy rags because
-
we have that sinful nature. But with Christ, we are the righteousness of God in Christ.
-
Hallelujah. You also have been accepted. You're chosen. You know, those are in Romans 15, 17 and
-
John 15, 16. Guess what else? You're free, free from what? Christ sets you free from every demonic
-
stronghold, whether it's fear. God is not giving you the spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound
-
mind power. What kind of power Holy Ghost power to overcome, right? You are free whom the sun sets
-
free. The word says is free indeed. No more bondage. You are new creation. We talked about that.
-
Second Corinthians 5 17. Say I am a child of God. That's first John three, and it's written
-
many other places. You know, we are a child of the King, the King of Kings. We are a child of the
-
master. You are made in God's image, right? Hallelujah. That's what the word says. I'm just
-
telling you what the word says. You know, Romans 8 28 says all things work together for the good
-
for those who are love God and are called according to his purpose. God loves you. And if you've
-
accepted that free gift of Jesus, he has called you according to his purpose. He's got a plan and
-
a purpose for you. You know, the Bible says we are crucified with Christ, but it's not us that live,
-
but it's Christ that lives in us and the life that we now live. We live by the faith of the Son of
-
God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You know, I want to read something in James. It talks about the tongue
-
and we need to get ahold of this. It says and we're I'm starting in James three, two. It says,
-
indeed, we all make many mistakes for if we could control our tongue, we would be perfect and could
-
also control ourselves in every other way. You know, our tongue, the Bible says is loose like a fire
-
and cannot be tamed. But by the Holy Ghost and power, as we dive in the word, we begin to be
-
changed into him, his image, because we're trying to be more like him, right? Spread the love of
-
God everywhere and see God's people set free. So verse three says, we can make a large horse go
-
wherever we want by means of a small bit in his mouth and a small rudder makes a huge ship turn
-
wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a
-
small thing, but it may it boasts grand speeches, but a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.
-
And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is the flame of fire. It is a whole world of
-
wickedness corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire for it is set on fire
-
by hell itself. That's in James three. This is the new living translation. People contain all kinds
-
of animals, verse seven birds, reptiles and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It's a
-
restless and evil full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and sometimes it curses those
-
who've been made by God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely
-
my brothers and sisters, this is not right. Does a spring water bubble out both fresh and bitter?
-
Does a fig tree produce both olives or a grapevine produce figs? No, you cannot draw
-
fresh water from a salty spring. So you see, we want to be a pure water. We want our words to
-
be pure and clean. You want to bless those around you, your husband and wife, you want to love them,
-
ask God to remind you of their qualities, ask God to show you the goodness of them again,
-
you know, revive that love that sparked between the two of you. God wants that. He wants you to
-
be a living example. People, you know, a lot of people won't go to church to find Jesus. They
-
read you, they read me. It's our lives. The example our lives are. That's what they do. That's what
-
they read. They want to read our lives. And it's by our example, you know, the Bible says you are
-
light and a light does not hide itself, right? But under it doesn't put itself under a candle,
-
right? So the Bible, you know, is so perfectly written for our freedom, for our joy. God has
-
a plan for your life, right? And in Philippians 413, it says, I can do all things through Christ
-
who strengthens me. Hallelujah. You can do all things through Christ. Anything you have a desire
-
to do of God, he will help you do it. And he's equipped you with the word of God, because the
-
word of God is powerful and quicker than any two edges sword, and it will not return void where you
-
send it. So get that word in you, get that word in you. We're going to go and listen and press in
-
and praise the Lord to a couple of songs. And I'll come back at you when they're over and we'll chat
-
a little bit more.
-
Forgive us, forgive us, as we forgive the ones who sin against us.
-
Forgive them, and need us not to temptation, but deliver us from evil.
-
So what? Let your kingdom come. It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours. The kingdom, the power, the glory are yours.
-
It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours, forever and ever. The kingdom is yours. It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours. The kingdom, the power, the glory are yours.
-
It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours, forever and ever. The kingdom is yours.
-
imbolition kingdom come. Fire the lecture will be done on earth as in heaven right here in my heart. Fire the lecture will be done on earth as in heaven right here in my heart.

-
Have you ever thought that the world has kinda lost its way?
-
Yeah, crazy as it seems
-
Yeah, I know it's gonna be okay
-
Okay
-
It doesn't scare me
-
It's temporary
-
There's something better
-
We got forever
-
And it won't be long
-
Cause I know our hope is on the way
-
The way
-
So keep your head up
-
Jesus is coming back
-
Jesus is coming back
-
No, don't you give up
-
No, no, no, no, no
-
Jesus is coming back
-
Jesus is coming back
-
And when the world gets complicated
-
We're gonna keep on celebrating
-
Cause we know, yeah we know
-
Jesus is coming back
-
Jesus is coming back
-
We gotta stay awake
-
Cause nobody knows the day or time
-
No
-
The trumpet's gonna blow
-
And the skies are gonna open wide
-
Oh, yeah
-
He's coming for us
-
Just like He told us
-
It's been a long way
-
But there's a new day
-
And we're gonna sing
-
Hallelujah when the King arrives
-
Oh, you know you gotta keep your head up
-
Jesus is coming back
-
Jesus is coming back
-
No, don't you give up
-
No, no, no, no, no

-
Cause we know, yeah we know
-
Jesus is coming back
-
Jesus is coming back
-
Jesus is coming back
-
Are you ready?
-
Are you ready?
-

-
We're looking at
-
We just wanna celebrate it
-
Are you ready?
-
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
-
So keep your head up
-
Keep your head up
-
Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back
-
Amen and amen, hallelujah Jesus is coming back
-
You know he came on this earth, he died and he was resurrected
-
For you and for me
-
And for every person he created no matter what color
-
What race, what religion, he died for you
-
But there's only one Jesus and there's only one way to accept him
-
To go to heaven
-
And that's to receive the free gift of Jesus Christ
-
And when you accept him, God will come in
-
He will live and abide in you
-
And as you follow him
-
You will be his disciples
-
You will know the truth and the truth will make you free
-
And you will go to heaven one day
-
And that's an eternal for eternity
-
There's a hell to shine and a heaven to shine
-
So we don't wanna go to hell, we wanna go to heaven
-
So if you've not made that decision
-
Or you've turned away from him
-
It's just a simple prayer to get you back
-
Just follow this and say, Dear Heavenly Father
-
Mean it from your heart
-
Thank you for Jesus Christ dying and rising again for me
-
I believe he died on that cross for my sins and rose again
-
For me that I could receive you and your free gift of salvation
-
I thank you Lord, I repent
-
And now fill me with your Holy Spirit
-
I love you and I praise you in Jesus' name, amen
