  1. It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast with Rhonda Harrison on 1017

  2. Bay FM.

  3. Good morning and thank you for joining me for Champions in Christ this morning.

  4. What a great day it is to be alive. What a great day it is to serve the Lord

  5. Jesus Christ. He's an amazing God and he has an amazing plan for your life today.

  6. We're going to get into the word of God and I want to start in the book of Psalms.

  7. We're going to start with Psalms 1914. It says, Let the words of my mouth and the

  8. meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Redeemer. You know,

  9. our words are powerful. The Bible says life and death are in the power of the

  10. words. So we have to think about what are we speaking every day? What are we

  11. speaking? Are we speaking life or are we speaking death? Everything that comes out

  12. of your mouth is going to be one or the other and anything in between are idle

  13. words, which we don't want either. So we always want to speak life life. You know,

  14. Psalms 30 34 verse 1 says, I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall

  15. continually be in my mouth. Why should we continually pray praise the Lord

  16. because of all that he's already done? You know, he's created this beautiful

  17. earth. I mean, we can find beauty in everything. If you look deep enough, you

  18. know, beauty in nature outside, beautiful in the animals, beauty in everything,

  19. most of all beauty in the hearts of his people. You know, also in that same

  20. Psalm in verse 13, it says, keep your tongue from evil and from guile, which

  21. is deceit. You know, every negative thing that comes out of our mouth has a

  22. consequence and every word of life that comes out of our mouth has a reward. You

  23. know, God is good. The devil's bad. And so when we allow God to fill our mouths

  24. and his word to fill our hearts, then we're going to see life and we're going

  25. to see strength and we're going to see his power move amongst us and in our

  26. lives. When we have faith, when faith fills our heart, because we've been in the

  27. word of God, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word, it's

  28. going to inspire us to step out and act in faith and then get a just reward. And

  29. remember from last week, God, God rewards faith, right? Without faith, it's

  30. impossible to please him. So let's move on to Psalm 141.3. It says, set a guard over

  31. my mouth Lord and keep a watch over the door of my lips. You know, how many times

  32. have we said something and we thought, oops, can I reel that back in? Can I get

  33. that back? Can I get those words and take them back? And you can't. The thing

  34. about words is once they're out, they're out. Now we can repent and we can ask for

  35. forgiveness and we can humble ourselves. But really, if we think before we speak,

  36. it works out a lot better. But sometimes we don't do that. All of us,

  37. including me. Proverbs 16 24 says gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweet to

  38. the soul and health to your body. That's right, health to your body. Sweet words,

  39. sweet words, words of life. Proverbs 10 11. The words of the godly are a life

  40. giving fountain. Wow. A life giving fountain or should be the words of the

  41. godly. What do I mean by godly? Those that have received Jesus as their Lord and

  42. Savior. When we've received Jesus, remember we become a new creature in

  43. Christ. Old things are passed away. Behold, we become new. You're brand new. Now our

  44. mind isn't. So we have to renew our mind so our mind can get caught up with our

  45. spirit. But you are a new creature in Christ. You are not the old man that's

  46. been passed away. So why act like him? Right? So let's continue. Proverbs 21 23

  47. says whoever keeps his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from trouble. Oh, amen to

  48. that. Remember in school, remember, you might have had a trouble maker or maker

  49. or two in your class and their mouth always seemed to get them in trouble.

  50. Right? Maybe you were that guy. Maybe not. Okay. Well, in Proverbs 18 21, that's what

  51. I started with. Death and life are the power and our death and life from the

  52. power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruit. That's right. You

  53. declare your harvest with the words of your mouth. So I want to ask you, what

  54. are you speaking? Think about your words. What did you speak today or yesterday for

  55. this past week? Were you speaking life to your situation or death? And we all have

  56. trials. We all have those curveballs thrown our way, but it's what we do with

  57. them. You know, it's that old saying, if you get dealt lemons, do you make lemonade

  58. or do you let the lemons rot? You know, and a lot of things we form, we form by

  59. our words first. You know, Matthew 12 37 says for by your words, you will be

  60. justified and by your words, you will be condemned. You know, even in receiving

  61. Jesus as our savior, we have to believe in our heart and confess with our mouth.

  62. Right? So you have to receive that free gift from him, but you confess it with

  63. your mouth confession is made into salvation. So words are extremely

  64. powerful, extremely powerful. You know, in Philippians 214, it talks about about

  65. murmuring and complaining. You know, murmuring and complaining is something

  66. God is not happy with. And neither are people think about it. Do you like to be

  67. around people who murmur and complain all the time? No, it is not fun. Yuck three

  68. times. Yuck, yuck, yuck. You know, Philippians 214 says, do everything without

  69. complaining and arguing. This is a new living translation so that no one can

  70. criticize you live clean and innocent lives as children of God shining like

  71. the bright lights in the world in a world full of crooked and perverse people

  72. hold firmly to the word of life. And then on the day Christ returns, you'll be

  73. proud that you did not run the race in vain words and my work was not useless,

  74. was made useless. You know, that's the thing. Our words will lead our future. So

  75. and where do we get our words from out of the abundance of our heart? The Bible

  76. says out of the fullness of your heart, your mouth speaks. So whatever is in

  77. there when the pressure is on or even just during the day, it's going to come

  78. out of your mouth. And so we want what's going in to be good, right? You can only

  79. make a withdrawal on what you've deposited in that right about the bank. So

  80. it's right about your heart. You can only withdraw what you put what you have

  81. deposited. So we all want to definitely be depositing the positive things in

  82. life, right? We want to be depositing most of all the word of God. And why is

  83. it? Why do we struggle with that? Why do men and women everywhere struggle with

  84. that? I mean, when we look at our example, our Lord Jesus Christ, he never, he

  85. never sent, right? Many of us send with our mouths and way too often, way too

  86. often. And why is that? I think we can find that answer in the book of Galatians,

  87. right? It says, for all the laws fulfilled in one word, even this, that you

  88. love thy neighbor as thyself. This is Galatians 5 14. And we're going to keep

  89. going. But if you bite and devour one another, take heed that you not be

  90. destroyed by one another, you know, you can destroy someone with your words and

  91. those words, you can't get back. And it takes sometimes a long time for someone

  92. to open their heart and let God heal, heal those words that have been saying,

  93. he can take that pain out. If you are someone who you have been verbally

  94. abused, either provoked or unprovoked, God can come in. That's the power of God

  95. that can come in and set you free. He can remove those. He can heal every broken

  96. place. It says this, this I say then walk in the spirit and you'll not fulfill

  97. the lust of the flesh for the lust for the flesh, lust against the spirit and

  98. the spirit against the flesh. And these two are contrary one to another. So you

  99. cannot do the things that you would. But if you be led by the spirit, you are

  100. not under the law. Why? Because the spirit is the Holy Spirit living in you,

  101. right? Now the works of the flesh are these, which are made manifest, adultery,

  102. fornication, uncleanless, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred,

  103. jealousies, division, strife, heresies, envy, murdering, drunkenness, revile,

  104. such of these, which I tell you before and I've told you in times past, they

  105. which do these things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

  106. You know, we want to live after the spirit. We want to bear the fruits of the

  107. spirit. We don't want to engage in our flesh. You know, Jesse DuPlanis says a

  108. lot of times, let that old man be dead and buried. Don't let him come out of the

  109. coffin because, you know, people can rile you up. They can get under your skin, so

  110. to speak, and it can draw that old man out. Well, you want to hammer that coffin

  111. shut and you want to fill yourself with the word. You know, something I do that

  112. really helps me is I pray and I say, Lord, give me eyes to see people the way you

  113. see them and give me a heart to love people the way you love them.

  114. Because when you are looking through the eyes of Jesus

  115. and your heart's filled with Jesus, you won't react.

  116. You'll respond just like Jesus did. You know, we can react in our flesh, but we

  117. respond. We want to respond and not react. So let's go on to verse 22, but the fruit

  118. of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

  119. meekness, temperance, which is self-control and against such there is no law.

  120. For they that are Christ, if you have been born again, you are Christ,

  121. crucify the flesh and the affections and lust.

  122. So if you have ill affections, if I listed something and you go, oh, ouch,

  123. that's me, then you want to repent of that and you want to get that out and you

  124. want to replace it with God's Word so that the power of God is made manifest in you.

  125. And that will draw others to Christ and it will draw others to you in a loving manner.

  126. You know, we've got to love the way Christ love, right?

  127. It says in verse 25, if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

  128. Let us not be desirous of vain glory provoking one another and envying one another.

  129. You know, that's the heart of God. The heart of God is for us to

  130. to share the love, the joy, the peace, the kindness.

  131. And how many of you know how bad we need that in this world today?

  132. If we want Jesus to be pleased with us, he wants us to love our neighbor as our

  133. self. He wants us to go out of our way to be a blessing, right?

  134. God has blessed us with the Holy Spirit and the power of God to be a blessing.

  135. You know, you can pray for the sick and they will recover.

  136. There are lots of things, promises in the Word of God for the chosen of God.

  137. And you say chosen. Yes, God has, it's his will, John 3 16, that none would perish,

  138. but everyone would get saved to the glory of God and go to heaven one day.

  139. But will everybody know? Unfortunately, not. But we, we still keep trying.

  140. We still keep sharing. We still keep loving. We still, because eternity is forever, is forever.

  141. You know, I want to share some, some things and these are all scripturally based.

  142. And I want you to say this with me because out of our mouths should be the things of God.

  143. He's got big plans for you, but you've got to speak that as well as have

  144. action towards that dream or that goal. You know, and some of these things,

  145. you want to get down in your spirit where you know them because it's the power of God.

  146. Those words will become life to you and they will become,

  147. they will begin to move you in the direction and in the right mindset for God to bless you with those plans.

  148. He says he's got great plans for you, plans to prosper you, not to harm you,

  149. plans to give you good success, but it's on us. You know, we've got to do what the word of God says, right?

  150. All right, so say this, I am the righteousness of God in Christ.

  151. That's who you are when you're born again. You have become his righteousness. We aren't

  152. righteous in our own being. No, before Christ, our righteousness is as filthy rags because

  153. we have that sinful nature. But with Christ, we are the righteousness of God in Christ.

  154. Hallelujah. You also have been accepted. You're chosen. You know, those are in Romans 15, 17 and

  155. John 15, 16. Guess what else? You're free, free from what? Christ sets you free from every demonic

  156. stronghold, whether it's fear. God is not giving you the spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound

  157. mind power. What kind of power Holy Ghost power to overcome, right? You are free whom the sun sets

  158. free. The word says is free indeed. No more bondage. You are new creation. We talked about that.

  159. Second Corinthians 5 17. Say I am a child of God. That's first John three, and it's written

  160. many other places. You know, we are a child of the King, the King of Kings. We are a child of the

  161. master. You are made in God's image, right? Hallelujah. That's what the word says. I'm just

  162. telling you what the word says. You know, Romans 8 28 says all things work together for the good

  163. for those who are love God and are called according to his purpose. God loves you. And if you've

  164. accepted that free gift of Jesus, he has called you according to his purpose. He's got a plan and

  165. a purpose for you. You know, the Bible says we are crucified with Christ, but it's not us that live,

  166. but it's Christ that lives in us and the life that we now live. We live by the faith of the Son of

  167. God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You know, I want to read something in James. It talks about the tongue

  168. and we need to get ahold of this. It says and we're I'm starting in James three, two. It says,

  169. indeed, we all make many mistakes for if we could control our tongue, we would be perfect and could

  170. also control ourselves in every other way. You know, our tongue, the Bible says is loose like a fire

  171. and cannot be tamed. But by the Holy Ghost and power, as we dive in the word, we begin to be

  172. changed into him, his image, because we're trying to be more like him, right? Spread the love of

  173. God everywhere and see God's people set free. So verse three says, we can make a large horse go

  174. wherever we want by means of a small bit in his mouth and a small rudder makes a huge ship turn

  175. wherever the pilot chooses to go, even though the winds are strong. In the same way, the tongue is a

  176. small thing, but it may it boasts grand speeches, but a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.

  177. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is the flame of fire. It is a whole world of

  178. wickedness corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire for it is set on fire

  179. by hell itself. That's in James three. This is the new living translation. People contain all kinds

  180. of animals, verse seven birds, reptiles and fish, but no one can tame the tongue. It's a

  181. restless and evil full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and sometimes it curses those

  182. who've been made by God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely

  183. my brothers and sisters, this is not right. Does a spring water bubble out both fresh and bitter?

  184. Does a fig tree produce both olives or a grapevine produce figs? No, you cannot draw

  185. fresh water from a salty spring. So you see, we want to be a pure water. We want our words to

  186. be pure and clean. You want to bless those around you, your husband and wife, you want to love them,

  187. ask God to remind you of their qualities, ask God to show you the goodness of them again,

  188. you know, revive that love that sparked between the two of you. God wants that. He wants you to

  189. be a living example. People, you know, a lot of people won't go to church to find Jesus. They

  190. read you, they read me. It's our lives. The example our lives are. That's what they do. That's what

  191. they read. They want to read our lives. And it's by our example, you know, the Bible says you are

  192. light and a light does not hide itself, right? But under it doesn't put itself under a candle,

  193. right? So the Bible, you know, is so perfectly written for our freedom, for our joy. God has

  194. a plan for your life, right? And in Philippians 413, it says, I can do all things through Christ

  195. who strengthens me. Hallelujah. You can do all things through Christ. Anything you have a desire

  196. to do of God, he will help you do it. And he's equipped you with the word of God, because the

  197. word of God is powerful and quicker than any two edges sword, and it will not return void where you

  198. send it. So get that word in you, get that word in you. We're going to go and listen and press in

  199. and praise the Lord to a couple of songs. And I'll come back at you when they're over and we'll chat

  200. a little bit more.

  201. Forgive us, forgive us, as we forgive the ones who sin against us.

  202. Forgive them, and need us not to temptation, but deliver us from evil.

  203. So what? Let your kingdom come. It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours. The kingdom, the power, the glory are yours.

  204. It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours, forever and ever. The kingdom is yours. It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours. The kingdom, the power, the glory are yours.

  205. It's yours, it's yours, all yours, all yours, forever and ever. The kingdom is yours.

  206. imbolition kingdom come. Fire the lecture will be done on earth as in heaven right here in my heart. Fire the lecture will be done on earth as in heaven right here in my heart.

  207. Heaven, right here in my heart

  208. We know that He's coming back

  209. We know that He's coming back

  210. We know that He's coming back

  211. We know that He's coming back

  212. Have you ever thought that the world has kinda lost its way?

  213. Yeah, crazy as it seems

  214. Yeah, I know it's gonna be okay

  215. Okay

  216. It doesn't scare me

  217. It's temporary

  218. There's something better

  219. We got forever

  220. And it won't be long

  221. Cause I know our hope is on the way

  222. The way

  223. So keep your head up

  224. Jesus is coming back

  225. Jesus is coming back

  226. No, don't you give up

  227. No, no, no, no, no

  228. Jesus is coming back

  229. Jesus is coming back

  230. And when the world gets complicated

  231. We're gonna keep on celebrating

  232. Cause we know, yeah we know

  233. Jesus is coming back

  234. Jesus is coming back

  235. We gotta stay awake

  236. Cause nobody knows the day or time

  237. No

  238. The trumpet's gonna blow

  239. And the skies are gonna open wide

  240. Oh, yeah

  241. He's coming for us

  242. Just like He told us

  243. It's been a long way

  244. But there's a new day

  245. And we're gonna sing

  246. Hallelujah when the King arrives

  247. Oh, you know you gotta keep your head up

  248. Jesus is coming back

  249. Jesus is coming back

  250. No, don't you give up

  251. No, no, no, no, no

  252. Jesus is coming back

  253. Jesus is coming back

  254. When the world gets complicated

  255. We're gonna keep on celebrating

  256. Cause we know, yeah we know

  257. Jesus is coming back

  258. Jesus is coming back

  259. Jesus is coming back

  260. Are you ready?

  261. Are you ready?

  262. People get ready

  263. People get ready

  264. Are you ready?

  265. Are you ready?

  266. Yeah, let's get ready

  267. Oh, it's coming back

  268. Jesus is coming back

  269. Jesus is coming back

  270. No, don't you give up

  271. Jesus is coming back

  272. And when the world gets complicated

  273. We're gonna keep on celebrating

  274. Cause we know, yeah we know

  275. Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back

  276. Are you ready now? Are you ready now? Yeah

  277. We're looking at

  278. We just wanna celebrate it

  279. Are you ready?

  280. Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back

  281. So keep your head up

  282. Keep your head up

  283. Jesus is coming back, Jesus is coming back

  284. Amen and amen, hallelujah Jesus is coming back

  285. You know he came on this earth, he died and he was resurrected

  286. For you and for me

  287. And for every person he created no matter what color

  288. What race, what religion, he died for you

  289. But there's only one Jesus and there's only one way to accept him

  290. To go to heaven

  291. And that's to receive the free gift of Jesus Christ

  292. And when you accept him, God will come in

  293. He will live and abide in you

  294. And as you follow him

  295. You will be his disciples

  296. You will know the truth and the truth will make you free

  297. And you will go to heaven one day

  298. And that's an eternal for eternity

  299. There's a hell to shine and a heaven to shine

  300. So we don't wanna go to hell, we wanna go to heaven

  301. So if you've not made that decision

  302. Or you've turned away from him

  303. It's just a simple prayer to get you back

  304. Just follow this and say, Dear Heavenly Father

  305. Mean it from your heart

  306. Thank you for Jesus Christ dying and rising again for me

  307. I believe he died on that cross for my sins and rose again

  308. For me that I could receive you and your free gift of salvation

  309. I thank you Lord, I repent

  310. And now fill me with your Holy Spirit

  311. I love you and I praise you in Jesus' name, amen
