with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay FM. Good morning

and thank you for listening. Thank you for making

my day by listening to Champions in Christ today.

Thank you Lord for this glorious day We will

rejoice and be glad in it because you have made

it and you've made it for us Hallelujah, no matter

where you are listening you God has good for

you today He has many promises in the Word of

God and they're all yes and amen to those that

believe praise God Praise God, I bet you have

a testimony of what God's done in your life.

Maybe you were a baby and a sickness came upon

you and you were healed either through the hand

of God, whether it was with the doctors or with

someone praying or both. You know, both are effective.

God uses many things to do his work and his will,

but it's all done by faith and it works by love.

And so we're gonna talk about faith today. We're

gonna jump right in. We're going to start right

in Hebrews 11 and we're going to go to verse

one and it says now faith is a substance. or

the assurance of things hoped for, but the evidence

of things not seen. If you can see it, you don't

need faith to get it, right? So if you're believing

God for something, it has to be something you

can't see right now and you have to believe that

you receive it and then you'll have it. You have

to trust God that he's going to bring it to pass.

And it continues on in verse two says, for by

it, the elders obtained a good report. God will

give you a good report when you believe by faith.

And then verse three, through faith, we understand

the worlds were framed by the word of God so

that things which are seen were not made from

things which do appear. So God spoke and light

was God spoke and the waters covered the sea.

God spoke and. created every animal you know

God breathed life into dirt and man became man

you know it's it was by the word the words that

Jesus or God spoke and Jesus was there the Holy

Spirit all three of them were there we know that

by John chapter one but We continue on in verse

four. It says, and by faith Abel offered unto

God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain by which

he obtained witness that he was righteous, God

testifying of his gifts and by it he being dead

yet speaketh. We continue on by faith Enoch was

translated. Enoch was one of two men that have

never died and it says he was translated that

he should not see death. and he was not found

because God had translated him for before he

was translation he had this testimony that he

pleased God you know we're going to verse six

the very next verse explains that so well it

says without faith it's impossible to please

him so you can't even make God happy unless you

believe him for something he wants you to give

him a job so to speak put your faith out there

and trust God God loves when his kids are trusting

him you know when you're when you were being

raised whether it was by your parents your grandparents

or aunts or and they said we're going to work

we'll be back later we're going to the store

we'll bet you believed them you believed them

because you knew them and you trusted them right

and guess what You can trust God even more than

you trust man You know the Bible says don't put

your trust in man put your trust in God don't

trust in the strength of horses or chariots or

Cars or planes put your trust in God God will

always see you through and we put our trust by

having faith because in verse six without faith

it's impossible to please him for he is he that

comes to god must believe that he is That's the

first part of that and that he is a rewarder

of those that diligently seek him. So when we

come to him we have to believe that he is. No

use coming if you don't believe in him, that

you don't believe that he really exists. He does

exist whether we believe it or not. The Word

of God is true whether we choose to follow it

or not. It doesn't change God. He loves us. He

wants the best for us. He'll give us every opportunity.

to have his blessing on our life and he'll bring

people in our life to show us God. Now people

aren't perfect, none of us are, but through God

we can get forgiveness, we can be healed, we

can be restored to that place in him every time,

every time we choose to repent. You know, if

we fall off the horse, it's not that you fall

off, it's that you get back up and keep going.

everybody hits hard hard times everybody gets

curveballs in life but it's what do you do with

it what do you do with those lemons you've been

given do you make lemonade or do they rot in

your gut or do they rot outside and they become

nothing no we want to have faith we want to allow

God opportunity to see the supernatural God is

not natural he's supernatural he puts his super

on your natural And we'll continue on in verse

7 by faith Noah being warned of God of things

not seen yet moved with fear and prepared an

Ark to the saving of his house by which he condemned

the world and became heir of righteousness, which

is by faith. Wow. Wow, you know, Noah built an

Ark and we all know the story. If you don't I'll

share a little bit. God came to him that the

land was very wicked the only there were only

Noah was the only righteous man really and his

family and he gave him he built he told him build

an ark there's coming a flood well they've never

seen a flood before and people thought he was

out of his mind you know he's out there it took

him a hundred years to build this ark it was

ginormous And we know the story. It was he kept

the seed of the animals. He kept them on the

Ark and him and his family. And don't you know

Noah probably every day was sharing with people,

you know? get right get right you know there's

a flood coming there's a flood coming and so

many times people are sent our way to tell us

about Jesus or to remind us to get right with

God and how many times have we just turned a

deaf ear and kept doing what we were doing you

know time is short Jesus is coming back we all

know that and it's sooner than we think Noah

You know, he, God was trying to give them time.

Noah, as he building this arc, everybody thought

he was crazy. That man's crazy, but he kept building.

He kept building. He kept building. He kept building

until one day the Lord said, okay, bring the

animals and the every animal that God wanted

came on that arc. Right. And then he had to have

a seat of man. So it was Noah and his family

and no one, his family got on the arc. And then

it was God that shut the door. When God shut

that door, that was it was over. The flood started.

And don't you know Noah and his family were in

there. And don't you know people started pounding

on that arc as the water began to rise. And you

must must think about how much water it took

to flood the earth. What? Yes, that's a lot of

water. So it started raining and raining and

raining and these people realize that crazy man

Noah was right and they probably were pounding

on that arc. Noah let us in. It was too late.

It was too late and only those that were had

a heart for God and that was his family were

on that arc. No one else not one other human

being. And I want you to think about that because

not God's knocking on the door of your heart

today and he's saying come on. Come on. Let me

in. Let me in. Let me help you. Let me save you

because there's coming a day when Jesus returns

and it's going to be too late. It's going to

be too late. You know, we don't we don't want

to leave this earth without everyone. Because

for God so loved the world that he gave his only

begotten son that whosoever believe in him. Are

you a whosoever? Yes, indeed. We all are because

we're all God's kids. He created us, but to become

a child, a son of God, we have to accept him.

he it's his will that none should perish but

all come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ

he loves you so much but not only get saved but

faith we need faith for everything you know it

says continuing on by faith Abraham when he was

called to go out into a place which he should

after receive an inheritance he obeyed and he

went out not knowing where he went God just told

him go Go and find a land whose builder and maker

is God by faith. He subjointed a land of promise

as as in a strange country dwelling in the Tabernacles

with Isaac and Jacob. Those were his son and

grandson and heirs with him of the same promise

for he looked for a city who had the foundation

whose builder and maker was God. Hallelujah.

Hallelujah. And Abraham was promised a multitude.

So many children as the sands of the sea. We're

all when you are in Christ, you're a descendant

of Abraham. Whether you're Jewish or not, you've

been grafted in as a Gentile. You're grafted

in. Hallelujah. But guess what? Abraham couldn't

have children. Sarah was barren. And so Abraham

could not. But in the next verse, it says through

faith. Also, Sarah received strength. conceived

seed and was delivered a child when she was past

age Because she judged him faithful who would

promise she judged him faithful She trusted that

what God said he would bring to pass Abraham

was a hundred Abraham was a hundred and Sarah

90 in her 90s 99 they were old according to our

age and They could not have children You know

it took a good 25 years from the time God told

Abraham that he was going to have a son through

Sarah and Sarah she had to have faith to believe

that her reproductive organs would come alive

to again the same way at Abraham had to and right

here in the so -called Hall of Faith of the Bible

she is listed out of the Out of all people in

mankind, she's listed in this Hall of Faith because

she believed through faith and received strength

to conceive seed and delivered a child when she

was past age. Hallelujah. If you will judge him

faithful right now in your situation, if you

will say God, I believe this to be done and you

start acting that out and you believe it, it

will happen because he's faithful to what he

promised. He's faithful. He has never failed.

You know, and then it continues on and says therefore

spring there even of one him as good as dead.

So many of the stars of the sky in the multitude

and the sand which is by the seashore innumerable.

All of them were Abraham's children and they

still are today. We are Abraham's descendants,

both the Jewish, but we're grafted in. We become,

we receive the blessing of Abraham because we've

been grafted in. If you are not Jewish, when

you get born again, you're grafted in. Hallelujah.

Hallelujah. You know, it continues. There were

ones that died in faith, but they died believing

the promise. even though having not seen afar

off were persuaded and embraced and confessed

that they were strangers and pilgrims on the

earth. You know, we're just passing through the

earth is not our final destination. Hallelujah.

We're going we're going to heaven. We're here

70, 80, 100, 120 years and then we're heading

to heaven. Don't you want to join us? Wouldn't

you like to come where there's streets of gold

where colors are more brilliant than you can

ever imagine? where light itself is Jesus. There's

not any sun needed there because he's so bright.

He is the sun. You know, just life and peace

and joy. There's no tears. The Bible says he

wipes away all tears, nothing but beauty and

love and kindness and everyone's serving everyone

else. Why? Because we are our best when we're

serving. That's when we're our best when we're

serving others. You know for it says in 14 for

they that say such things declare plainly that

they seek a country and truly if they had been

mindful of that country from which they came

out of they might have wanted to return You know

when you come out of bondage, which is what God

delivers you from maybe you're Maybe you've been

involved in alcohol too much. Maybe drugs was

your poison Maybe it's adultery. Maybe it's pornography.

Maybe it's needles. Maybe it's prescription drugs.

Maybe it's just complaining and gossiping. And

God can set you free from all of it. If you're

depressed, God wants to set you free. You are

not to be bound by depression. You're to be free

in God. He will fill you. The Bible says the

joy of the Lord is our strength. he doesn't want

you down in the dumps he wants you up and alive

he wants you healed and whole because he gets

glory when his super hits your natural and it

will if you trust him if you lean on him if you

lean on him he is a good good good God but he

does want us to be in faith And it also says

in verse 16, but now they desire a better country,

which is a heavenly one, wherefore God is not

ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared

for them a city. God has a city prepared for

us. It's amazing. You can read about it in the

holy word of God. And of whom it was said that

Isaac shall thy seed be called, accounting that

God was able to raise him up even from the dead,

from when also he received him in a figure. By

faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning

things to come. Everything in God's kingdom is

by faith. All these listed in the Hall of Faith

in Hebrews 11 are written here because God was

pleased by their faith. We want to have faith.

How do you get faith? What is this? Well, God

gives every man a seat of faith, the Bible says,

and then it says faith comes by hearing and hearing

by the word of God. You know, get in the word

of God. The Holy Spirit, who the word says is

our teacher, he will pour out his heart to you.

Just get in the New Testament. That's where we

live today, because Jesus has already died and

resurrected. You can read all about the power

of God, all about the blood of Jesus, all about

the goodness of God. It says here in Luke chapter

Luke 17 · chapter mention

17. Versus five, and the apostles said to the

Lord, increase our faith. And the Lord said,

if you have faith as the grain of a mustard seed,

which is one of the smallest seeds on the earth,

you might say to this sycamore tree, be thou

plucked up from the root and be planted in the

sea, and it should obey you. That's what your

faith can do. just a small amount. But which

of you having a servant plowing or feeding cattle

will say to him in the by and by when you've

come from the field go and sit down at the table

to eat and and will not rather say to him make

ready where I may eat and gird yourself and serve

me till I have eaten and drunk and afterwards

you shall eat and drink. Do you thank that servant

because he did the things that We're commanded.

I think not so likewise you when you shall have

done all the things which are commanded We are

you will say we are unprofitable servants We

have done that which our duty was to do we we

have done that which our duty is to do You know

God wants us to know that faith our servant and

when we trust God and believe him it moves that

faith causes things to happen in the earth the

angels of God the Bible said and can't round

about those that fear God they they minister

to those who are inheriting the kingdom of god

that's you that's me that's those of us who believe

and trust in god we get angels assisting us we

get the holy spirit which is the third person

of the trinity of god living in us but jesus

is the key jesus is the king jesus is the one

that came and died for us jesus is the one that

took that beating on his back that you could

be healed. Jesus is the one that took that crown

of thorns that you and I can have peace. Jesus

is the one that took that sword in our in his

side. Jesus is the one that took the nails in

his hands and feet. He took it for you and for

me. He became a curse for us for cursed is everyone

that hangs on a tree that the blessings of Abraham

may come upon us in Christ that. That's the one

we serve. That's the one I'm talking about. We're

going to break away for a song and I'm going

to come right back and we'll talk again. Or I

talk a talk that I don't walk And miss the moments

right before my eyes Somebody with a hurt that

I could've held Somebody with a hand that I could've

held When I just can't see past myself Lord help

me be a little more this life. It was yesterday

I was praying for a miracle Scared to have a

little hope And now looking back today Seeing

all the things you've done Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Are you counting your blessings today? Are you,

are you allowing less of you and more of Jesus?

That's what I say. That's what my goal is. I

want less of me and more of him. The Bible says

that I may decrease and that he might increase

that we would be filled with his love so we can

share that love with others. He loves you today.

If you don't know him or if you've turned away

from him, I'm gonna give you opportunity right

now to pray this prayer with me. Say, dear Jesus,

I love you. I want to know you more. Please come

and fill me to overflowing with your goodness.

Fill me with your peace. Fill me with your healing

and your strength. I give it all to you. I let

it go. I thank you, Lord. I believe that you

died on the cross, that you rose again, and I

ask you to forgive me and cleanse me. I receive

your free gift in the name of Jesus hallelujah

Hallelujah. Glory to God. If you prayed that

prayer, angels are rejoicing. Your name is being

called out in heaven, because if you confess

Him before men, He will confess you before the

Father. So go out and tell someone you gave your

life to Christ today. Go out and let them know

the goodness of God in the land of the living.
