It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast

with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay FM. Good morning

and welcome to Champions in Christ. Thank you

so much for listening this morning. This is the

day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be

glad in it. What an awesome God we serve. What

a wonderful Jesus he is. We just are going to

look into the Word of God today. You know, Jesus

is alive and his Holy Spirit is moving about

the earth, working through people, working in

situations, and he loves you so much today. And

we're going to talk a little bit about how much

alive he is. He is the living bread. He is the

living water of God. You know, in the physical,

We need bread to survive or food to live for

our physical being to maintain here on earth

the same way spiritual man you know you are a

spirit you live in a body and you have a soul

which is your mind your will and your emotions

but your spirit man needs to be fed to remember

what you feed grows and what you starve dies

and we both need food and water in the physical

realm the same way we need it in the spiritual

realm so let's go and to John The book of John

in the New Testament we're going to start in

chapter 6 and we're going to start with verse

31 And it says our fathers Did eat manna in the

desert as it is written he gave them bread from

heaven To eat then Jesus said unto them truly

truly I say unto you Moses gave you not the bread

from heaven but my father gives you the true

bread from heaven so what's happening here the

the Pharisees that were speaking with Jesus they

were saying um that that their heavenly father

in the old testament gave they called the manna

that fell from heaven during moses's time to

supply them physically they were calling that

heavenly bread thinking that's what jesus meant

but jesus was talking about spiritual food to

which the holy spirit gives us and so and jesus

the holy spirit and the father all one these

three are one And he says in verse 33 for the

bread of God is he's talking about Jesus which

come to which comes down from heaven and gives

life to the world you know jesus is the life

of god and when he died and rose again he sent

the holy spirit and as we believe on him and

receive christ free gift of salvation that holy

spirit comes and lives side of us hallelujah

that's exciting he went on to say then said they

unto him lord Forever give us this bread and

Jesus said to them. I am the bread of life He

that comes to me will never hunger and he that

believes in me will never thirst You know, whatever

you need for your situation Jesus is the answer.

He can do supernatural things the same way he

sent the Holy Spirit, which is a spiritual being

into our hearts and he lives inside of us. and

gives us renews our spirit right when we read

the word of god that holy spirit within us makes

it come to live makes us understand understand

the word of god and the lord opens our eyes of

understanding so it's amazing um that god would

not just Come down across and rise again for

our salvation, but give us all things. He said

he provides all things that we have need of all

things. That's amazing. That's truly amazing.

Let's drop down to verse 47. He says, truly,

truly, I say unto you, he that believes on me

shall have everlasting life. I am the bread of

life. Your fathers did eat manna from the will

in the wilderness and are now dead. He's talking

dead physically. This is the bread that comes

down from heaven that a man may eat thereof and

not die. You know, when we eat of Jesus, the

bread of life and he's he so wonderful to share

this truth with us that we can walk in it it

says those that believe so it's so important

that we get in the Word of God and feed on the

bread of life so that we can grow in the things

of God because you know when we leave this earth

And we all have loved ones there We are gonna

live forever somewhere. It's gonna be heaven

or hell and in heaven. We're gonna be on assignment

We're gonna have things to do. We're not floating

around on on clouds and letting baby angels feed

us grapes No, no, no God's angels are mighty

mighty and big and so let's go on over same chapter.

We're gonna drop go over to verse 52 and he says

the Jews therefore argued among themselves saying

how can this man say that he is that his flesh

is to eat because in verse 51 he said I'm the

living bread which came down from heaven. And

as we read and he said, I will give life to the

world, you know, he gives life to the world.

So now they're arguing saying, what is he talking

about? How can we eat his flesh? And so Jesus

said, Verily, I say unto you, except you eat

the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood.

You have no life in you. Who eats my flesh and

drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise

him up at the last day for my flesh is meat indeed

and my blood is drink indeed and he that eats

my flesh and drinks my blood dwells in me and

I in him. as the living father has sent me I

live by the father so he that eats me even he

shall live by me this is the bread which came

down from heaven not as your fathers did eat

manna and are dead but he that eats this bread

shall live forever and jesus you know this had

to be a hard saying and and it says that later

it says um in 59 these things that he said in

the synagogue as he taught in capra So he's sitting

in the temple and he's teaching this many therefore

of his disciples when they had heard this said

this is a difficult saying to understand who

can hear this when Jesus knew in himself that

his disciples murmured at this. He said does

this offend you? What if you shall see the son

of man ascend up where he was before it is the

spirit that makes alive the flesh prophets nothing

the words that I speak unto you. They are spirit

and they are life, but there some of you will

not believe for Jesus knew from the beginning

who were. they that believe not and who should

betray him and he said therefore I say unto you

no man can come to me except it was given to

him by my father and from that time many of his

disciples went back and they didn't walk with

Jesus anymore and Jesus turned to the 12 and

said will you go also and Simon said Lord to

whom will we go and who has the words of eternal

life you know this is the difference between

Christians who know their God and those that

don't those that really haven't searched the

Word of God and they don't worship and they don't

pray they don't know their Lord and he Peter

had seen the disciples had seen all that Jesus

did You know prior and he saw the miracles and

the signs and the wonder they knew the life of

God was in Jesus. Now some of the other disciples

may not have known him that well maybe some of

them just heard about him and it was hard to

them for them in the natural to hear eat his

blood eat his flesh and drink his blood but Jesus

didn't mean it. Literally, he meant it spiritually.

And that's why in this day and time, after the

death and resurrection, we take communion. It

represents his body and his blood. And we take

that, he said, as often as we want to in remembrance

of him, in remembrance that he was the ultimate

sacrifice, that he laid down his life, shed his

blood, was beaten, unrecognizable, so that we

could have eternal life. our sins be forgiven,

that the power of God would flow through us,

that the power of God would be available to help

us with every need. You know, God loves you so

much today. He wants you to know how much He

loves you and adores you and how much He's here

for you. He is here for you. We're going to turn

over now. We're going to back up a little bit

to John. I mean, in the book of John to 414.

And actually we'll start, let's back up even

further. In verse seven it says, there comes

a woman to Samaria to draw water, and Jesus said

to her, give me to drink, for his disciples were

gone away in the city to buy meat. Then said

the woman of Samaria unto him, how is it? that

you being a Jew asked me who came from Samaria

for the Jews had no dealings with Samaritans.

Jesus said if you knew the gift of God and who

it is that says to you give me to drink you would

have asked of him and he would give you living

water. The woman said in him sir you have nothing

to draw with this well is deep from where have

you this living water are you greater than our

father Jacob who gave us this well. and drank

of it himself and his children and his cattle

and Jesus said whosoever drinks of this water

speaking of the well will thirst again but whosoever

drinks of the water that I shall give shall never

thirst but the water I give him shall be a well

spring of water springing up into everlasting

life the woman said sir give me this water I

thirst not that I thirst not neither come here

again to draw and Jesus said go and call your

husband and come here the woman said and to Jesus

I have no husband he said you have well said

I have no husband for you have had five husbands

and he whom you are with now is not your husband

you have spoken truly the woman said I perceive

you are a prophet our fathers worshiped in this

mountain you say that in Jerusalem is the place

where men ought to worship and Jesus said woman

believe me the hour comes and and you will neither

in this mountain nor in Jerusalem worship the

father you worship. You know not what we know

what we worship for salvation is of the Jews

But the hour is coming and now is when the true

worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit

and in truth for the Father seeks such to worship

him God is a spirit and they that worship him

must worship him in spirit and in truth so she's

feeding him a lot of spiritual food right now

by talking about he's the living water and she's

she's trying to wrap her head around it that

this not physical water he's talking about and

then he goes on to talk about worship. and how

God desires us to worship Him in spirit and in

truth. Why? Because God is a spirit and we are

a spirit. We live in a body and we have a soul,

a mind, a will, and an emotion. So within that,

keep that in mind. You know, God is trying to

share with her the importance of the living water,

of the living water. He said He is the living

water. So let's scroll over. to John 7 37 and

Jesus said in the last day the great day of the

feast Jesus stood and cried saying if any man

thirst let him come unto me then drink he that

believes on me this is The scripture has said

out of his belly will flow rivers of living water.

If we partake of Jesus and receive him as our

Savior and get filled with his Holy Spirit, then

out of our belly will become a living well for

someone else will be able to share that same

life with others that same peace with others

that same joy and we will we will be able to

do the works of christ he said greater works

will you do he said to go out preach the word

heal the sick set captives free heal the broken

-hearted You know, he wants us doing the work

that he did on earth so that others would drink

of this well freely But first you have to drink

have to ask you today. Have you drink of this

living? Well, have you accepted Jesus as your

Lord and Savior or maybe you've accepted him

and you've walked away and you've not really

Spent time with them and you've kind of back

slid somewhat. Guess what? today's a new day

the minute you repent and ask Jesus to forgive

you all that's gone every bit of it the Bible

says he throws our sins as far as the east is

from the west and into the sea of forgetfulness

so you too can start a new today with that relationship

with Jesus he loves you he wants to hear from

you he wants you to talk to him he's right there

with you he'll never leave you he'll never forsake

you You know when Jesus was ascending up into

heaven after the resurrection and after he gave

the disciples an instruction and it's in Acts

chapter one. and it says until the day in which

he was taken up after that Jesus through the

Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles

whom he had chosen to whom also he showed himself

alive after his passions with many infallible

proofs being seen of them for 40 days and speaking

of them things pertaining to the kingdom of god

and being assembled together with them commanded

them that they should not depart from jerusalem

but wait for the promise of the father which

he says you have heard of me for john truly baptized

with water but john and but you will be baptized

with the holy ghost not many days from now Wow,

he was going to give them the Holy Spirit. Remember,

he said, when I go up, I'm going to send the

Comforter. The Holy Spirit is our Comforter.

He's our guide. He's our discernment. He's how

all the gifts of the Spirit work. And if you're

not familiar with those, we'll talk about those

in weeks coming up. But there are gifts in the

Spirit that the Holy Spirit uses. to help people

understand that he's real and that he's supernatural

and that he loves you the same way god used him

on earth and he goes on to tell them um You shall

receive verse a the power and after that the

Holy Ghost has come upon you and you will be

witness unto witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem

all of Judea Samaria and to the uttermost parts

of the earth You know he and then it says after

he spoke these things He was taken up in a cloud

out of out of sight and so he left them with

a commandment and if they did it they would receive

the Holy Spirit and the power of God to be witnesses

that boldness we need as we share Jesus with

others because they're going to be some that

don't want to receive them some that aren't ready

to hear but you keep sowing that seed God keeps

you keep moving and watering other seed and God

will give the increase why because we've got

to get this words He's coming back soon and sooner

than we think and we want to be ready. Are you

ready? Are you really ready? The Holy Ghost will

help you. He will equip you. He will empower

you to live out this life victoriously because

you truly are a champion in Christ. That's where

that this name comes from. Because through Jesus

Christ, we are champions not because of what

we do, but because of what he does in. us as

we allow him to transform our lives to change

our heart to strengthen us and give us the joy

the joy of the Lord is our strength he wants

you happy if you need joy today ask him say come

feel me Lord fill me with that Holy Ghost and

fire you know I want to real quickly go to Psalms

no Isaiah 55 let's go to Isaiah 55 because Even

in Isaiah 55, 1, and he talks about in Isaiah

44, 2, but in Isaiah 55, he says, everyone that

thirsts, come. Come to the waters, he that has

no money, come and buy, eat, come, buy wine and

milk without money and without price. And it

says in verse two, wherefore do you spend money

for that which is not bread and your labor set

for that which satisfies not? Harken diligently

unto me, eat that which is good, let your soul

delight in fatness. incline your ear and come

unto me and hear and your soul shall live and

i will make an everlasting covenant with you

even the mercies of david hallelujah he will

fill you with the word of god with the power

of god with the living water that will heal your

heart give you peace of mind strengthen you and

fill you with this joy we're gonna go to a couple

I He is our King and he is our God and he is

worthy worthy worthy of all the glory of all

the praise There's no one that has done for you

and for me what God has done. No one Loves us

more than he does. So I invite you right now

to pray this prayer with me father Forgive me

of my sins wash me make me clean surrender I

surrender my life to you my heart to you I want

to serve you fill me with your Holy Spirit to

overflowing and Holy Spirit help me to learn

and get to know this God my God my Savior in

Jesus name amen if you prayed that prayer with

me and you are a new creature in Christ you were

backslidden and you prayed that prayer guess

what you've been renewed and right relationship

with him again praise God and I want you to go
