It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast

with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay FM Good morning

and welcome to Champions in Christ broadcast.

Thank you for joining us today This is the day

the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad

in it Hallelujah, hallelujah. We're going to

talk about the Word of God and get in there and

read some today. We're going to talk about what

a miraculous working God we have. How the miracle

power of Jesus Christ is still real today. He

is still real today. The same Jesus, the same

one that died on that cross and rose again. He

is alive and well today and he wants to help

you and me in our lives. He wants to help us.

grow and to live and to be victorious you are

a champion in Christ if you know him maybe you

don't know you're a champion maybe you just are

new to the body of Christ and new to this walk

with God. It's a tremendous walk. There is nothing

better. There's no one that loves you more. There's

no one that will help you more. There's no one

that will listen to you more. He's always available,

always ready to help in the time of need to listen

when you need a sounding board. And he will answer

you. The Bible tells us if we call upon him,

he will answer us. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The

Bible says if we seek him with our whole heart,

we will find him. Hallelujah. What a great God

we serve. Well, let's go into Mark chapter eight.

We're going to dive right in and we're going

to start in verse one. It says in those days,

the multitude. Being very great and having nothing

to eat Jesus called his disciples unto him and

said to them I have compassion on this multitude

Because they have now been with me three days

and have nothing to eat so these people this

multitude of people have been following him and

listening to him for three days and He's realizing

for three days. They have fasted as they sat

and listened to him Why would someone follow

someone around for three days without eating?

because when it's jesus there ain't nothing like

it and it's the same today even though jesus

is seated at the right hand of the father right

now interceding for you and i praying for us

he is real his presence he sit his holy spirit

to the earth to live inside of his believers

His presence is real when you call on his name

when you praise when you worship him when you

pray He will come right where you're at. You

will feel his love. You will feel his peace you

don't feel it every every day all the time 24

7 because God doesn't want us going by feelings

everything in God's kingdom is done by faith

but he does bring his prayer he can't help himself

he loves when we praise him he loves when we

worship him he loves when we laugh he's watching

over you 24 7 So here he sees these people have

been following him. They can't not do it because

their hearts are so stirred and they're seeing

all the miracles that he's doing. And so he wants

them to be fed. He's going to have compassion

on them. And his disciples said, from where can

a man satisfy all these men with bread here in

the wilderness? He's saying, you know, where

are we going to get food for these people? Are

you kidding me? And Jesus And it says in verse

six, oh, I'm sorry, I skipped a verse. It says,

and he asked them, how many loaves do you have?

And they said seven. They only had seven loaves

of bread. And he commanded the people to sit

down on the ground and he took the seven loaves

and he gave thanks. He gave thanks to God the

Father for those seven loaves. And as he gave

thanks and broke the bread and gave his disciples

to set before them, they did set before the people

the bread and they had a few small fish and he

blessed and gave thanks and commanded to set

them also before the people. The disciples thank

God knew Jesus enough to know that if he spoke,

you could bank on what he said and you still

can today the word of God is full of promises

and the Bible says all the promises of God are

yes and amen to you and to me to those of us

who believe him and so they're believing that

what he's saying they're looking at these seven

loaves these fish and they're going okay he said

to break it he said to begin to share it with

them well as they did guess what happened it

says in verse 8 so they did eat and were filled

and took up the broken meat that was left seven

baskets and they that had eaten were about four

thousand and then he sent them away why Are you

kidding me right now? Not at all. This literally

happened in the flesh. There were four thousand

people around him listening to him for three

days without eating. And guess what? They only

had seven loaves and a few fish. And guess what?

Fed four thousand people. That's a mindblower

right there. That's our God. That's the supernatural

power of our God. Hallelujah. The same God that

spoke and light was the same God that formed

man out of the dust of the earth just by breathing

life into that dirt. That's the power of God

available today. You know, R .W. Schambach. an

evangelist back when I was a young Christian

I used to hear him on the radio and he would

say you don't have any trouble all you need is

faith in God and do you know that statement is

still today it's found in the Word of God it

says have faith in God or have the God kind of

faith in other words trust him believe him for

that miracle maybe you need a physical miracle

today maybe you need a financial miracle today

Maybe you need a miracle in your relationship

with your husband or your wife or your children.

God is a miracle working God and he's never stopped

doing miracles. He will do them for those who

believe faith without works is dead. So we have

to have action line up with our faith. Just like

right here. The disciples had to believe God

as Jesus commanded and He and they broke the

bread. They're looking at seven loaves of bread

and they began to tear off pieces and it kept

multiplying in their hands. Wow. Wow. Wouldn't

you have loved to been there? But it's okay that

we weren't because today he's still doing miracles.

He's still doing signs and wonders. What is a

sign and a wonder? It's it's something that makes

you wonder like we're wondering about this. How

did he feed 4 ,000 with seven loaves of bread?

It's amazing. It's amazing. God is a great God

a great great God and he never quits. He's always

going to be good. He's always going to be there

for you to help you on every side on every side.

I'm telling you he's amazing. He's amazing. We're

going to turn stay in Mark and we're going to

go to Mark 11 and this is where I was talking

about 1122 it says and Jesus answering them said

have faith in God. Now I want you to think about

that have faith in God not in man not in what

your checkbook says. Not in in your persuasive

fleshly ways have faith in God Trust that he

will do what he says he'll do in verse 23 It

says for truly I say to you that whosoever are

you a whosoever I am Shall say unto this mountain

be thou removed and be cast into the sea shall

not doubt in his heart but believe those things

which he says shall come to pass he shall have

whatsoever he says hallelujah so if something's

in your way if there's a mountain maybe it's

a mountain of conflict maybe it's a mountain

of strife between you and your spouse or you

and one of your children, you can command that

to be cast in the sea and humble yourself and

yield yourself and choose kind words. You know,

you get a lot more done with sugar than you do

with vinegar. You know, God wants us to part

of the fruit of the spirit is gentleness and

kindness. love and peace. You know that's the

way we speak with people. The Bible says that

a soft answer turns away wrath. When you're dealing

with someone who's enraged or angry, use a soft

answer. Try not to let it get to you. Don't let

it get under your skin. It's not that important.

Let it go. You know people get upset and they

get riled up. And they need love, they need understanding,

they need kindness, because hurt people will

hurt people. So if someone's hurting, chances

are they're going to lash out and hurt someone

else, not on purpose, not because they meant

to just because they're angry, or they're upset

or they're hurt by someone they're offended.

But we don't want to be offended, we want to

let it go. so let's keep reading it says but

if we speak to the mountain and command it to

be removed and cast in the sea and do not doubt

in our heart see that faith has to stay strong

in your heart well how does that happen faith

comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God

what really if I hear the Word of God my faith

will be built up yes if you're listening with

your spiritual ears and with your whole heart

remember last week we talked about the soil the

ground of the heart if there's a lot of junk

in that heart if you've got unforgiveness and

bitterness and resentment and lust and all this

junk in there we got to dump that we got to hit

the empty button and empty that heart out because

it's nothing but junk yuck yuck yuck so we want

to fill it with good things how do you empty

your heart you say Lord forgive me let it go

I'm done with these things I'm empty and I choose

to forgive and you name those people Sally Joe

Jim we all tend to walk in unforgiveness sometimes

because people hurt us and we hurt people but

we have to walk in forgiveness and let it go

because God says if we don't forgive others then

he won't forgive us our Heavenly Father won't

forgive us because Jesus chose to come on the

earth lay down his life his royalty in heaven

be born of man suffer and die for us to forgive

us of our sin which he didn't have to number

one and number two we don't deserve it he chose

to do that and so we he expects us to forgive

others the same way We don't have to die on a

cross thankfully, but we do have to let it go

and So get that stuff out get that stuff out

You want to think on things that are good and

pure and holy and of a good report? Because and

ask God for the fire of God to come and burn

that out the fire of the Holy Ghost the Holy

Spirit of God will transform your life as You

let him as you read the word as you do the word.

You can't just read it. You can't be just a hearer.

You have to be a doer. You have to do what the

word of God says and your life will never be

the same. It'll be the greatest adventure you've

ever been a part of. You'll enjoy it. You will

have to bear some some persecution. It comes

with being a Christian or being a follower of

Christ. That's what a Christian is. but it'll

be the greatest thing you've ever done. And I'm

going to read you that scripture that I just

talked about, about forgiving others. If we continue

in verse 24, it says, Therefore I say unto you

what things you desire when you pray, believe

you receive them and you will have them. Whatever

you desire when you pray, believe you receive

them and you'll have them. And when you stand

praying, forgive. It says if you have ought against

anything. anyone I'm sorry that that your Heavenly

Father which is in heaven may forgive you of

your trespasses oh boy that means we have to

let it go we have to choose to forgive when we

have something against someone you know sometimes

that's not easy to do especially if you've had

abuse of some kind physical mental it's it's

not easy but you can do it with the strength

of God, you can do it. It's we all have to forgive

if we want to be forgiven. And it says in verse

26, if you do not forgive, neither will your

father, which is in heaven, forgive you of your

sin or trespasses. Wow. Wow, we want to forgive

we want to forgive why because God is a good

God God loves you God wants the best for you.

He has a plan for you He loves you. He loves

you. He loves you, but he requires some things

and He always has an opportunity for us to be

rewarded You know, he's gonna give you peace

that passes all your understanding You know when

you really forgive someone you'll know it because

when you start to tell that story it'll feel

like it happened to someone else and that's when

you know you're completely healed of it. completely

healed up but we need to forgive God and to be

able to forgive also we want to have people in

our life that love Jesus too or have like faith

you know you don't want to hang out we'll read

it and Psalm 1 it says blessed is the man that

walks not in the council of the ungodly nor stands

in the way of sinners nor sits in the seat of

the scornful those are the people we don't want

to hang out with if we want to be pleasing to

God. We want to hang out with the Holy Ghost.

Talk to the Lord. Talk to Jesus. He's right there.

He loves to hear from you. He loves to hear from

you. We want to hang out with like -minded people.

People who lift you up. Now that doesn't mean

we aren't friends with people. don't believe

in Jesus we need to we need to share our light

and our love of God with them so their life can

be changed too because someone shared it with

us and how thankful I am that someone did share

it with me I'm so thankful God sent someone my

way and I listened so if you're listening today

and you don't know this Jesus we're going to

give you an opportunity at the end of this broadcast

to receive this wonderful Lord and Savior we're

talking about and your life will never be the

same but in Psalms 1 verse 2 but his delight

Psalms 1:2

is in the law of the Lord and in that law he

meditates day and night where to get in that

word day and night Why? Because that's when you

learn about how easy, how God is so good, how

He wants to give you that miracle today. He wants

to help you in every way. He wants to lead you

and guide you, and He's a miracle -working God.

He performed healings and miracles all through

his time on earth. And since he's gone to be

with heaven, he's put that same Holy Spirit power

in us, in believers, that we can go and share

the goodness of God. We can go lay hands on the

sick and they will recover. We can do that. Why?

Because his word commands us to do it. His words

talking to his disciples. He said in Mark 15,

he said, go into all the world, preach the gospel.

Every creature he that believes is baptized shall

be saved, but he that believes not shall be damned.

And these signs will follow those that believe

in my name. They'll cast out devils. They'll

speak with new tongues. They'll take up serpents.

And if they drink any deadly thing, it will not

harm them. They will lay hands on the sick and

they will recover. hallelujah these were the

last words god spoke in verse 19 so then after

the lord had spoken unto them he was received

up into heaven and sat at the right hand of god

what a miracle working god we serve what a powerful

anointed the power of god is called the anointing

of god and that resides in you and upon you and

around you and will flow through you and you

can do the same thing god said greater works

um then you that you will do than what i have

done that's what jesus said so the same miracles

but we've got to get that fire so as you listen

to these two songs um let god come with this

fire and i'll be right back at you You're the

same God today And the same God tomorrow Help

me see the victory You already see Let my faith

be today What it will be tomorrow When I see

the victory You already see I believe. Oh. We

need a miracle. You are the miracle maker. God

of the impossible. There is no power greater.

Exceeding above hallelujah hallelujah set a fire

down in my soul that I can't contain and I can't

control I want more of you God I want more of

you God and I pray right now Lord for everyone

listening that Lord you would set a fire down

in their soul that you would make them so hungry

and so thirsty for you Lord that they would never

be the same that they would dedicate themselves

to you and your word in your life Father, I just

pray right now for everyone listening that wants

to accept Jesus as their Savior. Repeat this

prayer after me. Father, God, forgive me of my

sin. Cleanse me. Wash me. I receive your free

gift of salvation. I want to be in heaven one

day. I thank you that you receive me as I receive

your free gift. I confess you as Lord and Savior,

and I thank you for it in Jesus' name. Amen.
