It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast

with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay FM Good morning

and welcome to Champions in Christ. Thank you

for listening this morning. Hope you're having

a great day This is the day the Lord has made

and we will rejoice and be glad in it Let's turn

in our Bibles today Psalms 103. You know the

goodness of God extends eternally. He's always

good. His love for you is always there no matter

what. He loves us no matter what. He says he

will never leave us. He'll never forsake us.

He is Emmanuel. And so we want to look in today

and we want to look into Psalms 103. We're going

to start in verse 1. And it says, bless the Lord,

oh, my soul and all that is within me. Bless

his holy name. You know, we're supposed to bless

the Lord with everything we've got our spirit,

our soul, our body, everything we do should glorify

his name. He said, whatever you do, do it to

the glory of God. You know, he created us. He

loves us. He wants the best for us. He has great

plans for you. great plans for you it goes on

in verse two it says bless the lord oh my soul

and forget not all his benefits that's right

there are a load of benefits that god has in

store for you and me and let's read about him

verse three says who forgives all our iniquities

that's right every single sin god forgives if

we'll repent he already has forgiven he's already

done it when he died on the cross when he became

a curse for us cursed is everyone that hangs

on a tree you know that did it that did it when

he rose again he was the sinless lamb of god

that was slain on our behalf you know he though

when they nailed those nails in his hands and

feet when they put that crown of thorns on his

head when they put that spear in his side They

were crucifying our Lord and our Savior, but

it was for your benefit of mine When he gave

up the ghost and he said his last words before

he gave up the ghost He said father forgive them

for they know not what they do. He knew He knew

that people didn't get it a lot of people didn't

understand his followers did He told his followers

what would happen, but you know, it's still It

still was such a sacrifice. I mean, he was beaten

unrecognizable, you know, the 39 stripes on his

back that ripped the literal skin and blood from

his back. Oh, how devastating of a blow that

had to be every time they threw they whipped

his back. you know it says he forgives all iniquities

who heals all the diseases that's right he took

the price and was the payment for all sickness

and disease for all poverty for all he took it

all and he became the curse and because he was

cursed we are blessed We are blessed to be a

blessing and all the provisions of God so far

what we've read the two that we've read the Forgiveness

of sin that's available anytime every day and

all it requires is for us to repent and receive

that forgiveness from him Every time we're not

perfect. We're human and he knows that he's he

knows that he's acquainted with the feelings

of our infirmities so he knows but he made provision

for it already he became the living sacrifice

so that we wouldn't have to so that we they wouldn't

have to sacrifice bulls and goats and turtle

doves and all of that's done away with because

of the precious blood of the lamb and thank God

for it He healed every disease. So we receive

divine healing and divine health in our bodies

It's a promise of God and then it goes on to

say in verse 4 who redeemed our life from destruction

That's right. We were on a train to hell why

hell was never created for us It was created

for the devil's and his aim the devil and his

angels his demons but if we don't receive that

free gift of salvation that's where we're headed

because the price was so big god offers it but

he won't overcome your will the same way he won't

force healing on you and he won't force deliverance

on you and he won't force prosperity on you unless

you're following the word of god then you're

going to get blessed no matter what but he wants

us to receive it he says freely i've given freely

receive you know we've received of him so we

freely give to others we share jesus because

we received it freely it wasn't our cost it was

his cost and so he satisfies our mouth i'm sorry

redeems our life from destruction and he crowns

us with loving kindness and tender mercies do

you know that his mercies are new every morning

for you that when he forgives you of a sin it's

thrown into the sea of forgetfulness never to

remember it again by him so that mercy is new

every morning the mercies of god oh heavenly

father how we need your mercy every day every

day we need his mercy you know the same way um

men and women parents will give mercy to their

children especially little guys you know too

much is given much is required so as you get

older you become more responsible and therefore

you're more accountable but you know those mercies

are always there when you truly love someone

you will show them mercy you know god even shows

our enemies mercy he says it reigns on the just

and the unjust he says for us to forgive our

enemies and bless them you know he loves everyone

so very much It says in verse 5 he satisfies

our mouth with good that our youth is renewed

like the Eagles. That's right. Hallelujah for

that. I love that scripture. Our youth is renewed

like the Eagles. You might be 50 and you feel

30. You might be 40 and you feel 20. Why? If

you're a born -again Christian, the Lord's promise

is he renews our youth like the Eagles. He satisfies

your mouth with good things and your youth is

renewed like the Eagles. Glory to God. You know,

he's so merciful. He didn't just die to save

us to go to heaven and Which that's an amazing

gift because we get to spend all eternity with

him the creator of heaven and earth and all the

universe and galaxies and stars and trees and

mountains and he created it all. The greatest

thing he created was you and he knew you before

you were in your mother's womb. That's what Jeremiah

says. He formed you in your mother's womb. You

know from the moment of conception. That's when

God has breathed on that seed. When the egg and

the sperm come together and God breathes on that

seed, life begins there. And so you are valuable.

You are very valuable to God. He gave his life.

He gave the, the father sent his only begotten

son that whosoever believes on him shall live

and not die eternally, eternally. we can live

with him in heaven and enjoy the blessings of

heaven and the streets of gold and the mansions

and all the things the bible tells us about heaven

He also says in verse six that he executes righteousness

and judgment for all who are oppressed. That's

right today if you're oppressed by something

depression if you're oppressed from a situation

from circumstances if you're down on yourself

have an inferiority complex or any of those things

God can set you free. You know I had that. You

know, I didn't count my worth as very much. I

wasn't in depression, but I did have an inferiority

complex. But God set me free. You know, you just

ask him and he'll free you. And then you feel

your heart and your mind with the word of God.

So you stay strong in the Lord and the power

of his might. You know, it says in verse seven,

he may known his ways unto Moses and his acts

to the children of Israel. What? That's right.

He's a supernatural God and he did a lot of supernatural

things that are recorded in the Bible and lots

and lots that hasn't That are in other books

written in heaven that we'll find out later But

thank God for the written Word of God that we

can Rehearse the goodness of God and our own

testimonies in our own life. You know, let's

read about one of those things that he did supernaturally

because he's a supernatural God and his he will

put his super on your natural and touch your

situation and bless that relationship at home

that marriage that's falling apart doesn't have

to be turned to God let him in let him in that

marriage seek his face he will bless your marriage

you have to believe him You have to trust his

word. You have to be obedient. It seems hard,

but it's not. Why? Because when you get born

again, when you accept Jesus, the Holy Spirit,

the power of the living God in this person of

the Holy Spirit comes to dwell inside of you.

Another name for him is the indwelling. And so

he's there to lead you, to guide you, to teach

you God's word. And he'll also teach you through

the gifts of God given to the body of Christ,

which is the apostle, the prophet, the evangelist,

the pastor and the teacher. And they're all still

active today. Someone might say, oh, well, I

thought the apostles died out when the original

12. Oh, no. Oh, no. Those gifts were given to

the body. We have apostles today all over the

world. We have prophets, true prophets. There

are false prophets, but there's many true prophets,

too. We have evangelists, pastors, teachers.

Thank God for all the gifts. But the greatest

gift is the gift of the Holy Spirit. And so let's

look in Matthew 14. We're going to start in verse

22. And it says straightway, Jesus urged his

disciples to get into a ship and to go before

him to the other side while he sent the multitude

away. when he had sent the multitude away he

went up in a mountain and to pray when the evening

was come he was there alone you know praying

is so important taking time is so important to

spend with the Lord we have 24 hours in a day

I want to ask you to ask yourself this question

how much of that time do we actually give to

Jesus not to your family not to your church Not

to TV and work and and housework and yard work

and all the things we have to keep us busy. How

much out of that 24 do we give actually to Jesus?

He wants to hear from you. He wants to spend

time with you. He's real. He's alive and he loves

spending time with you. So so Jesus went away

to talk to his father into the mountain and then.

verse 24 but when the ship was now in the midst

of the sea tossing waves for the wind was blowing

against it and in the fourth watch of the night

Jesus went unto them walking on the sea what

he was walking on water he was defying gravity

that's our supernatural God Now this is Jesus

Christ who was walking the earth at the time

physically in a physical body was walking on

the water. Wow. Can you imagine being on that

boat as he's walking towards you? Let's see what

happens. So in verse 26 it says and when the

disciples saw him walking on the sea they were

troubled and they said it's a spirit and they

cried out for fear they got fearful because they

had never seen someone defy gravity and walk

on the water neither have i have you no but jesus

did and that same jesus lives in you that supernatural

power that will change your life in a moment

if you call upon him It says in verse 27 but

straightway Jesus spoken to them saying be of

good cheer. It is I be not afraid and Peter answered

him and said Lord if it be you bid me to come

on the water. Peter was brave at that moment.

He was like Lord if that's really you please

call me out. Let me walk on the water to you.

And what did Jesus say? He said come and Peter.

Was come down off the ship and he walked on the

water to go to Jesus. What another man walked

on water. Absolutely. He walked out to Jesus.

verse 30 says but when he saw the wind boisterous

he was afraid and began to sink you know when

we get our eyes off Jesus and get our eyes on

our circumstance like Peter did you know he saw

the wind was getting boisterous and he got scared

fear is directly opposed to faith when we get

in fear it is not of God and your faith will

not work just as what happened with Peter He

was stepped out on the water. He was walking

towards Jesus and then looked at his circumstance.

You know when you're in the midst of a fight

of faith and that's the fight we fight here.

We don't fight against flesh and blood but we

fight faith. We fight the good fight of faith

and we win. God has planned no defeats for you.

He's always planned for you to win. And so when

when Peter when the wind was blowing Peter says

Peter was afraid and beginning to sink and he

cried out to the Lord Lord save me. and immediately

Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him

and said oh you of little faith why did you doubt

and when they were coming to the ship the wind

did cease and they that were with them in the

ship worshiped him saying of a truth you are

the son of God you are the son of God one miracle

that is a sign and a wonder He caught defied

gravity the law of gravity and walked on the

water and Peter did too. But then Peter got his

eyes off Jesus. You know, the Bible says to think

on things that are good and pure and lovely and

wholesome and of truth. And if there be any virtue

or praise, think on these things. Those things

are all about God. God is always good. He's always

virtuous. He's always true. so every time we

keep our eyes on Jesus and off our circumstance

he'll come through every time for us if we ask

him you know Lamentations 3 22 and 23 says the

steadfast love of the Lord never ceases his mercies

never come to an end they are new every morning

great is thy faithfulness we've all heard that

song if you've been around the church at all

but Lamentations this is way way way way way

back written way before the new testament and

it's talking about the steadfast love of the

lord it never ceases and that supernatural love

and power will come faith works by love faith

works by compassion you know jesus had compassion

on the disciples when the wind was up and twirling

he had compassion and loved everywhere he went

And that's what prompted the giftings. That's

what prompted healings and miracles and signs

and wonders, his love and compassion for the

people. And God uses men and women today with

that gift of God in them to minister compassion,

love, miracles, signs and wonders. You know,

in the book of Acts, it says in the last days,

which is what we are in today. the holy spirit

will be poured out on all people why because

of the blood the blood of jesus and you may feel

like giving up today and i say to you don't give

up rely on the blood trust in jesus we're gonna

go to a couple songs and i'm gonna meet you on

the other side Don't give up on me yet I know

I'm not your best bet But I'm trying Don't give

up on me yet Leave me here alone I know I've

come so far but got so far to go And with these

brand new scars, this broken heart It's hard

to really know if there's a reason It's getting

harder to recognize The person I was Before I

encountered Christ I don't walk like I used to

I don't talk like I used to I've been washed

from the inside I've been washed from the inside

I was washed Thank You is not enough Jesus, Your

grace Your mercy poured out for us I will love

You forever Here on earth into heaven I've been

washed from the inside I've been washed from

the inside from the inside hallelujah hallelujah

thank you Jesus you know just as those songs

said you know the first one don't give up he

doesn't give up on you and the second one it's

not about being perfect it's not about earning

rights and grace enough to to get in it's just

about humbling yourself before God receiving

his free gift of salvation and your life will

never be the same So I want you to pray with

me right now if you've never received Jesus or

maybe you have and life through your curveball

and there was a bankruptcy a sudden death in

the family a Tragedy that happened a divorce

can throw you off course and you want to come

back to Jesus You want to get right back in that

love of God. He always loved you He always loves

you even while we're in sin. He loves us. So

pray this prayer dear Jesus. I come to you right

now Ask you forgive me of my sins wash me in

your blood wash me clean I denounce the world

and the things of it fill me with your Holy Spirit

I Receive it now in Jesus name Amen and amen

I want you to go out and get in a good church

that preaches the whole counsel of God that believes

in the supernatural power of God that loves God

and loves people and Also, we want you to get
