It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast

with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay FM. Good morning

and welcome to Champions in Christ. We're so

glad you joined us. This is the day the Lord

has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Excuse me. This morning we're going to open up

the Word of God and we're going to talk about

Jesus. We're going to talk about the One. whom

the whole Bible is really circled around and

that's because Jesus is our Savior. You know

in Acts 412 it says there's no salvation in anyone

else, no other name under heaven by which we

can be saved. Saved from what? Saved from our

sins, saved from shame, sickness, disease, poverty,

all of those things. Jesus was the answer. and

he was sent here by God for you and for me. He

was sent to deliver us, hallelujah. And the story

of the Bible, you can see Jesus all through the

scriptures, the blood, the powerful blood of

the lamb that was poured out when he died on

the cross and rose again. You know and we're

gonna talk about a little bit about some of the

things he did So we're gonna start in Matthew

9 and it starts out Jesus climbed into the boat

and went back across the lake to To his own town

and some people brought him a paralyzed man on

a mat seeing their faith Jesus said to the paralyzed

man be encouraged my child your sins have been

forgiven you you know Jesus He was the one That

knew God and when he came he knew the power that

was within him and He was the answer to everything

and still is to everything we have on the planet

No matter if you have a sickness today if you

have a financial burden today If you are just

lost and undone, if you've done some terrible

things in your life, God is your answer and he

will help you. He will send the mighty Holy Spirit

to help you. If we continue, this is nine verse

three, but some of the teachers of religious

law said to themselves, that's blasphemy. Does

he think he's God? Jesus knew. um what they were

thinking so he asked them why do you have such

evil thoughts in your hearts is it easier to

say your sins be forgiven or stand up and walk

so i will prove to you the son of man has authority

on earth to forgive sin then jesus turned to

the paralyzed man and said stand up pick up your

mat and go home wow you know he told him He told

him at first, be encouraged. Your sins are forgiven

you. And salvation isn't all inclusive. It includes

forgiveness of sin. It includes washing away

of your sin. That means no more. That means they

are no more. They're cast into the sea of forgetfulness.

That's why God wants us living and moving forward,

not looking back. but it also includes healing.

You know, it also includes healing. Healing for

our body, healing for our mind, healing for anything

we need. Our broken heart, he will heal us. You

know, if we turn to Psalms 103, it says, let

all that I am praise the Lord with my whole heart,

I will praise his holy name. because he has done

great things for me. He forgives my sin. He heals

all my diseases. He's redeemed me from death

and crowns me with loving kindness and tender

mercies. He fills my life with good things that

my youth is renewed like the eagles. Hallelujah.

Hallelujah. He fills your life with good things

so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

That was written in a psalm. But again, it's

all about Jesus. That's exactly why God sent

Jesus. So we would know God in the flesh. We

could feel him, touch him, see him. And now Jesus

has returned to heaven since the day of his resurrection

after he had appeared on the earth for a while.

He went up into heaven and because he's up in

heaven he sent the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit

lives with us today God said he would never leave

you nor forsake you just call on his name today

just call on his name so we're going to continue

on verse 7 And at that word, the man jumped up

and went home. Fear swept through the crowd as

they saw this happen. They praise God for giving

humans such authority. Hallelujah, hallelujah.

You know, he goes on to say, If you drop down

to verse 12, he said, healthy people do not need

a doctor, sick people do. And then he added,

now go and learn the meaning of this scripture.

I want you to show mercy and not sacrifice, for

I have come to call not those who are righteous,

but those who are sinners. You know, if any of

you have sinned out there, and we all have, the

Bible tells us all have sinned and come short

of the glory of God, we need Jesus. We need the

great physician. So he calls himself there a

physician. He said, healthy people don't need

a doctor, even in the natural physical realm

that we live in. You know, if you're healthy

and strong, you don't go to the doctor unless

there's something wrong. Well, anything that

you have wrong, Jesus can take care of. Now,

does he work through doctors? Yes, he can heal

you through doctors, but he can also heal you

supernaturally. He wants us to depend on him

for everything. He's the king of kings. So in

the kingdom of God, When you become born again

and receive Jesus as your savior and repent of

your sin, you enter the kingdom of God and therefore

he rules and reigns. And in the kingdom, even

a natural kingdom, the king is supposed to provide

all that's needed for the people. And so it's

pretty exciting that Jesus has provided all for

us. all for us. You know, he even sent his disciples

and apostles out to do the same work that he

did. Why? He sent the Holy Spirit, empowered

us to do those same works. And the proof of that

is in Acts 5, one of the places, there's many

places in the Word of God, 512, it says the apostles

were performing many miraculous signs and wonders

among the people. And all the believers were

meeting regularly at the temple in the area known

as Solomon's Colonnade. But no one ever dared

to join them, though all the people had high

regard for them. Yet more and more people believed

and were brought to the Lord. crowds both men

and women. As a result of the apostle's work,

sick people were brought in the streets in beds

and mats so Peter's shadow might fall across

them as he went by. That's the power of God.

When you love God and he opens your understanding

to the truth and the word, and he will if you

ask him, you will understand the power and authority

God's given you here on earth to heal the sick.

Yes, that is what the body of Christ is to do.

It's to go out and preach the gospel, heal the

sick, deliver, deliver everyone who's bound,

heal the brokenhearted, feed the poor, help the

widows, all of those things. Why? In the power.

in the name of Jesus Christ. We can't do it in

any other name. No other name has that power

but Jesus. Hallelujah, glory to God, glory to

God. And you'll always have opposition. You'll

always have people say, ah, that's not real.

Well, it's real when it's happened to you and

it has happened to me and I praise God for every

testimony I have in God. Yes, he saved me. Yes,

he has healed me both through doctors and supernaturally.

Yes, he's delivered me in every situation, because

I'm still here. You know, if you're still breathing,

God's not done. He's not done with you. You know,

mighty is the battle, but the battle belongs

to the Lord, hallelujah. Fear is not your future.

Death is just a doorway to a new life, a new

life in heaven if you're born again. a new life

in hell if you're not so keep listening and at

the end of this broadcast we'll give you opportunity

to make sure you're going to heaven but we believe

we believe the word of god we believe in jesus

christ you know the bible says in um Matthew

16 24. He said, take up your cross and follow

me. That's what he expect us as disciples to

do. Our cross, what does that mean? We are crucified

with Christ. Yet not I live, but Christ that

lives in me. And the faith that I now live, I

live by the faith of the Son of God. That's the

Bible. That's scripture. We have to lay down

our own desires, our own plans and purposes,

and take up His. He has a better plan and a better

purpose for you. You know, before you were formed

in your mother's room, God knew you. That's what

He says. And in Jeremiah, He says, He has plans

for you before you were in your mother's womb.

But guess what? If you're hearing about Jesus

for the first time, he still has a plan for you.

He can take whatever mess that we've made of

our life and he can bring it to his glory. He

can take us down that better path. You will be

blessed coming in and blessed going out and blessed

in the field and blessed in the city, blessed

in your storehouses. That's God's word to us.

That's God's word to everyone who believes. Now,

if you don't believe, I can't tell you that those

promises are for you. I can tell you his mercy,

excuse me, his mercy is there for you. But I

can't promise you that those promises are for

you. Those are for those who reach out to God.

And all you have to do is call on His name. Doesn't

matter what you've done, doesn't matter where

you're at, doesn't matter if you're in prison

right now, if you're in a car right now, if you're

in the house, doesn't matter, God will come right

where you are. Just call on His name. Just say,

Jesus, I need you. Jesus, help. He will come

he will bring victory in your life. He will give

you wisdom and divine guidance Maybe you're in

a financial situation Maybe there's there's a

big heavy burden in your finances right now He

can show you the way out because he is the way

Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life

the way the way the way out and into a better

life the way out and into better dreams. You

know, maybe you got hit with something this year

that you can't believe happened. You never saw

coming. Guess what? Jesus will get you out of

there. Jesus will help you call on him. Don't

rest in your own ability. Rest in him. He will

give you peace. He will give you joy. He will

give you, he will, he that's Bible says God has

not given us a spirit of fear, but power, love

and a sound mind. That's what he's given you

today. That's what he wants for you today. Power,

love, and a sound mind. Think about it. Think

about the goodness of God. Think about God's

faithfulness. I'm telling you what, he is so

faithful. He is so faithful. You know the Bible

says here in Matthew 8 that large crowds were

following him and suddenly he came across a man

who approached him that had leprosy and he knelt

down before him and he said Lord if you're willing

you can heal me and make me clean. Jesus said

I am willing and he said be healed and instantly

the leprosy was was disappeared. The leprosy

disappeared and Jesus said don't tell anybody

instead go to the priest and let him you take

an offering required from the law of Moses that

you've been healed this will be a public testimony

that you have been cleansed back then Jesus had

not risen from the dead yet so back then they

still had to follow the law so he had to go and

and get affirmed from a priest that he was cleansed

but Jesus cleansed him he didn't ask him about

his past he didn't say how many sins have you

done no there wasn't anyone Jesus denied that

came to him and asked him for something if they

believed he kept reminding them if you believe

do you believe what do you want me to do he said

i will come and heal you you know jesus is the

healer you know if we continue on in matthew

eight five it says when jesus returned to pernium

a roman catholic officer pleaded with him lord

my young servant lies in a bed paralyzed terrible

in pain jesus said I will come and heal him."

The officer said, Lord, I'm not worthy to have

you come to my home. Just say the word where

you're at and my servant will be healed. Wow,

that's big faith. That's big faith. And do you

know when he returned, he asked them when was

his servant healed? And they said the same hour

that Jesus told him that. And do you know what

Jesus said about this man? If you drop down in

verse 10, it says, I tell you the truth. I've

not seen this kind of faith in all of Israel,

in all of Israel. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He

believed the spoken word and that's what we're

to do with the word of God. We're going to break

away to a couple songs today. I want you to meditate

on that and rest in it and I'll come back to

you in just a moment. So hello. It's a new horizon

It's a new horizon His mercies are new It's the

morning time Where the weeping has to end It's

the morning time Fear is not your future. Shame

is not your portion. God is ready to change your

life today. If you believe that, you've never

received him as Lord and Savior or you've been

away from him for a while, pray this prayer with

me. Dear God in heaven, I ask you to come, fill

me with your life, forgive me of my sin, I repent,

I renounce the things of the world. Fill me with

your Holy Spirit and Lord help me Help me to

be the person you created to me and do what you

want me to do I take up my cross and follow you

in Jesus name. Amen If you've prayed that prayer

all of heaven is rejoicing God has just declared

your name in heaven. You've got to tell someone

about it You've got to be not ashamed of him

because he's not ashamed of you If you need a
