It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast

with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay FM. Good morning

and welcome to Champions in Christ. We're so

glad you could join us today. This is the day

that the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be

glad in it. Hallelujah. This morning before we

get started I did want to say a word. We did

have a dear friend in the area, the northern

neck, crossover into eternity. His name was Ron

Jeffers and he was a solid voice here in the

community. He loved to cook and he was greatly

loved and he will be greatly missed. So we do

want to pray for his family and friends who are

all missing him. today but he was a wonderful

person always joyful always kind and just a wonderful

voice on the radio he actually is the voice you

hear announce me when my program starts so we

just love you ron we miss you and we pray for

that family comfort and strength during this

time okay so this morning we're going to talk

about the land of the free, the home of the brave.

Why is America what we are today? And we're talking

about this because we have a huge day coming

up November 5th, the election. And you may say,

oh, we don't want to mix God and politics. Well,

guess what? We do want to mix God and politics.

Why? Because our country was founded on solid

principles of God's word. Did you know that out

of the 55 men who formed the Constitution, 52

of them were members of their church? Noel Webster,

who also was in that mix, could quote the Bible

chapter and verse. I mean, our country was founded

on the principles of the Word of God. You know,

Abe Lincoln, you know, he once said the philosophy

in the school room in one generation will be

the philosophy of government in the next generation.

So we want to protect our children and our grandchildren.

You know, James Madison said we've staked our

future on our ability to follow the Ten Commandments

with all our heart. In Washington's farewell

address, George Washington's farewell address,

he said, you can't have national morality apart

from religious principle. And it's true. You

know, when you eliminate the word of God from

the classroom and from the politics, you eliminate

the nation that that word protects. You know,

God is a protector of his children and those

nations who love God are protected by God. but

we have to do our part. Proverbs 14 34 says righteousness

exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any

nation. Proverbs 29 2 says when the righteous

are in authority the people rejoice and when

the wicked rule the people mourn. You know we

want righteousness ruling in our governments

you know in every sector of government in state

and in federal. And so that's our choice. It's

our choice as a republic to vote. And we are

blessed with freedom. We are the United States

of America. United States of America. And Psalms

3312 says, blessed is a nation whose God is their

Lord and the people whom he has chosen as his

inheritance. You know, he chose, he chose this

nation. and he gave our founding fathers a heart

towards him they chose him they wanted they wanted

to go to a new land and it was all based on the

freedom they wanted you know they cited 27 biblical

discrepancies in the United Kingdom. So they

wanted here, they wanted to come here and start

that nation. And we've got to protect it for

our children and our children's children. You

know, we are the land of the free and the home

of the brave. You know, America must return to

God. And why wouldn't we want to? He's the greatest

thing there is, period. You know and we all are

members of the body of Christ and you are important

your voice matters You know every member of the

body if you you know Christ is the head of the

church the Bible says and we are the body You

know if even in the physical if you cut off your

head and put the head separate from the body

the head can Think and want to do many things,

but the body's not attached to do it. We have

to be united as one You know, we have to be strong

in the Lord and in the power of his might. We

have to love God with all our heart, mind, soul,

and strength and love others as we love ourselves.

You know, we want to stand strong. Because why?

Because in those mighty, godly men that founded

our nation, that wrote the Constitution, you

know, the very First Amendment is the freedom

of religion. hallelujah and it's also the freedom

of speech that we can share about God and the

Second Amendment helps us protect the first you

know we have the right to bear arms so these

are important things that were founded you know

200 years ago we have the right we have the right

to tune who we worship you know and there are

many religions out there But and guess what our

nation protects the right. to choose and God

gave us the right to choose. God says you have

a free will. God doesn't want us bound by a nation

like there is in Russia or some other North Korea

and some of the nations that are just locked

down on their people and don't allow them to

freely worship Christ. They force you to worship

whom you want to worship. They make laws. You're

not allowed to bear arms in some countries. Some

countries have taken away all the As a matter

of fact, I was listening to a faith forum and

it had someone, his name is Father Calvin Robinson,

and he is from the United Kingdom and this is

what's happening over there right now. And I

just want to give you an idea what can happen

in a nation who turns away from God. You know,

their average attendance, and this is from him

per church right now, is 25 people. You know,

Marxist is taking over the United Kingdom. Christianity

is no longer the number one religion. Islam will

be number one before his generation is over,

he said, if something doesn't change. You know,

they removed God from their judiciary, from the

public life, from their classroom, and his whole

encouragement was America you have a strong Constitution

stand stand and pray and believe and go to church

and be united you know being divided by denomination

was never God's idea that was man's so we want

to serve God you know with our whole heart we

don't want to become like the United Kingdom

but we can already see some decay happening on

the edges of America and in the middle land and,

you know, all kinds of people are flooding our

nation and immigration, illegal immigration,

and they've all got their own beliefs. And if

we don't keep our country founded on what God

founded, we want God to bless our nation. And

He will bless it. He will bless it when we are

in right standing with Him. You know, we're going

to go in the Word of God. Let's go to Matthew

and we're going to go to chapter five. And in

Matthew chapter five, Jesus is giving the sermon

on the mound. And when you get to verse 10, he

said blessed. Let's back up. Well let's just

read the whole thing and seeing the multitudes

he went up to the mountain and went and he sat

down and his disciples came and he opened his

mouth and said blessed are the humble in spirit

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven blessed are

those that mourn for they shall be comforted

blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the

earth blessed are they which hunger and thirst

for righteousness for they shall be filled Blessed

are the peacemakers, for they shall be called

the children of God. Blessed are you when men

revile you and persecute you and say all manner

of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice

and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward

in heaven, for so persecuted the prophets that

were before you. Then he goes on to say, you

are the salt of the earth. But if the salt has

lost its savior, wherewith shall it be salted?

But it is therefore good for nothing but cast

down and to be trodden underfoot. You know, if

all we're concerned about is ourselves and we

don't join together and lock arms and stand for

the principles that this country was founded

on. A divided house cannot stand is what the

Bible says. We have to use salt. Salt is used

to preserve things. We're to share the love of

God. We're to share the importance of standing

for righteousness. Righteousness, we are responsible

for this nation. God gave us this nation. Do

you know you could have been born in any nation?

Imagine what you would live under if you lived

in North Korea right now. Just think about it.

And there are many other countries that are not

serving God as a whole or even in part. And you

could live under that tyranny. Oh, it would not

be fun. But we have to preserve our foundation

that our country stands on. We are responsible

to leave this nation for our children and our

children's children. you make a difference in

your sphere of influence. Whether you're a doctor,

a lawyer, whether you're a teacher, whether you

work in the sanitation department, whether you

work for a radio station, whether you work in

a grocery store, you are important to God and

you're important to this nation. Your vote matters.

And you say, but I don't know who to vote for.

Vote godly principles. If you are born again

and you are a Christian, God came to set you

free that you could go and be salt and light

you know the scripture goes on and says in verse

16 oh sorry 14 you are the light of the world

a city set on a hill cannot be hid you know this

our nation is the strongest nation we are the

strongest nation in the world and guess what

if we go down guess who else goes down every

ally with us you know those that curse is real

will be cursed by God. Those that bless Israel

will be blessed by God. That's another reason

we're blessed. We stand with Israel. Another

reason we're blessed is because we send the Word

of God through missionaries around the world.

That's important to God. That's important to

God. You know we have to be as God wanted us

to be that light it goes on to say neither do

men light a candle and put it under a bushel

but put it on a candlestick and give it light

unto all that are in the house let your light

so shine before men that you they may see your

good works and glorify your father which is in

heaven glory to God we've got to let that light

shine You know, there is no time for fear. God

has not given us a spirit of fear, but power,

love, and a sound mind. Don't hesitate. Step

out, speak up, stand up, and pray. Stand up and

speak and kneel down and pray. praise the lord

thank him for the goodness of this nation yes

we're not perfect nation because we're not a

perfect people there was only one perfect and

that's he was by he made he was perfect by choice

and made no wrong move and did not sin but we

are not that person but united we stand as his

body and it's important It's important, you know

Thomas Jefferson called the Bible the cornerstone

for American Liberty We have to stand if you

have not if you live in a state if you're streaming

this live And you live in a state where you can

register up until the day of voting Please go

register and vote you say oh my vote doesn't

count. Yes, it does What if David decided you

know went out when he saw the armies of God and

they were all afraid of Goliath and his armies.

What if David said, I'm not going to bother.

No, something that righteous indignation rose

up within him. And he said, who is this Philistine

that thinks he can defile the armies of God?

He had courage. He was brave. This is the home

of the brave. the home of the brave. You know,

our military is so brave to go out and fight

when it's time to fight and stand for our principles.

We have to do our part. This may not be a military

war we're in, but we are in a war for our nation.

We are in a war for the minds of our young people.

And if we don't stop handing out condoms in schools

and start handing out the word of God, you know,

the school philosophy is going to become the

government philosophy in the next generation.

So we've got to change what's going on. If you're

a teacher, you must stand up for Jesus if you

know him and if you love him for the sake of

the children. If you have grandchildren, children,

if you don't want to vote because of yourself,

vote for them. Vote biblical principles. Vote

the best choice. There's not a perfect man or

woman to fill that position. but there's a god

there's one that does do some godly alignments

with the word of god you know that's what we

want we want godly alignments because that's

the country those who don't want godly alignments

there are lots of other countries that don't

serve god and you're free to go to them that's

another thing we have freedom to go we can get

our passport jump on a plane and go you will

make a difference in your sphere of influence

don't be afraid to talk about politics don't

be afraid even if you just say i vote the bible

i vote the word of god what does the word of

god he hates murder so he's against abortion

what does the word of god say he stands for freedom

freedom of choice freedom of religion freedom

to bear arms you know there was a time you know

where God stood on the side of those there there

is war war was will always be but there's a God

we serve that answers prayer he doesn't want

us warring against one another in the physical

but if if there is a war God is faithful he's

faithful to his children if you don't know him

today you can know him and we'll talk about that

in a minute but if you know him if you are 18

or over you have the right, which a lot of countries

don't have, to voice the voice of God on paper.

You know, in Ephesians four, four through six,

it says, there is one body, one spirit, even

as you are called into one hope of your calling,

there's one Lord, one faith, one God, one Father

of all, who is above all and through all and

in you all. One. that's the God we serve and

he's an almighty God and he's the King of Kings

and the Lord of Lords but if you don't let your

light shine what happens if you turn off a light

in a room it becomes completely dark is that

what we want in America darkness no we want the

light to shine bright we want our children to

grow up healthy to grow up strong to grow up

full of the knowledge and the wisdom of God that

they can make their choice. You know, we don't

force people to choose God, but who wouldn't

want to choose him? He's so good. He is so great

that there's so many names for him and yet they

all still don't say it enough. There's no fear

right now. It's time to be courageous. It's time

to stand up. We are called the United States,

not the divided states. So let's stand up. Let's

speak our voice of God through voting. You know,

even though the disciples preach the word, they

also did other things. You know, you can speak

to your realm of influence, your realm. God is

counting on you and he's counting on me. He's

counting on us to be the voice, to be strong

in him. to be strong in him and stand up for

the principles that we believe. You know, love

God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength

and love others as you love yourself. Well, when

you love others, you will tell them the truth.

you will tell them the truth, the truth of God's

Word. We have to stand united as a body of believers

to save our nation. And I know this election

is one election, but there's many going on. We

have to vote. We have to vote every time we have

the opportunity and vote righteous judgments

according to the Word of God. We're going to

go to a couple songs right now, and then I'll

catch you on the other side. right this is our

God this is who he is he loves us he loves you

today if you've never accepted him as Lord and

Savior just pray this prayer with me dear Heavenly

Father I just thank you for your son Jesus who

came and died on a cross for me I ask you Lord

Jesus to forgive me of my sin cleanse me and

wash me I make you Savior today I denounce the

things of the world fill me with your Holy Spirit

Thank you in Jesus name and I just say to you

right now if you prayed that prayer any form

of it He heard you you don't have to use specific

words or every word I said But you know what

he you are forgiven. You're cleansed You're filled

with the Holy Spirit begin to read your Bible

go to a place That speaks the word of God and

the whole counsel of God We want you to go out

and make it a great day. Remember to vote on

November 5th and remember God loves you. We love

you and you are a champion in Christ.
