  3. morning and welcome to Champions in Christ broadcast.

  4. Hallelujah. It is a new year. Hope you had a

  5. great Celebration for the new year. It's a new

  6. year a new day and a new plan God has for your

  7. life today and this year, and I know it's going

  8. to be a great year for you, your best year ever.

  9. Can you receive that? Hallelujah. We're going

  10. to go in the Word of God today and talk about

  11. the greatness of God. We have so much to praise

  12. Him for, so much to be thankful for. So let's

  13. turn in our Bibles, excuse me, to Psalm 63. We're

  14. going to read verses one through seven. And it

  15. says, oh God, you aren't my God. Early will I

  16. seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs

  17. for you in a dry and thirsty land where there

  18. is no water. To see your power and your glory.

  19. as I have seen in you in the sanctuary you know

  20. you can have that same power and glory visit

  21. you in the car visit you at home in the bathroom

  22. shopping wherever you lift his name if you're

  23. hungry and thirsty just as this scripture is

  24. talking about and if you long for him like a

  25. dry and thirsty land where there is no water

  26. if you ever been really thirsty have you ever

  27. ran a marathon or played a sport and you just

  28. could wait to get that drink of water. Well that

  29. is what Jesus is and so much more. Our Heavenly

  30. Father and Jesus and the Holy Spirit, those three

  31. are one, but they will pour into you the goodness

  32. of God. It goes on to say, because your loving

  33. kindness is better than life. That's right, God's

  34. loving kindness is better than life. Hallelujah,

  35. I get happy just thinking about it. It is so

  36. good. My lips shall praise you. I will bless

  37. the Lord while I live. I will lift up my hands

  38. in your name. Why do we lift up our hands because

  39. in school when you knew the answer you raised

  40. your hands will guess who is the answer to all

  41. things every question you have every problem

  42. you need solving every single thing you need

  43. or want or desire is in him and guess what he

  44. is the beginning in the in the Alpha and Omega.

  45. He knows exactly what we need. It says, when

  46. I remember you upon my bed and I will meditate

  47. on you in the night, because you have been my

  48. help, therefore in the shadow of your wings,

  49. I will rejoice. We always should be praising

  50. the Lord. You know, if he did nothing else for

  51. us but send Jesus to die and to be born again

  52. and raised from the dead that we can eternally

  53. live with him, if he never blessed us outside

  54. of that, it would still be worth it. Why? Because

  55. we were born into sin. The Bible says for all

  56. of sin and come short of the glory of God. And

  57. so we need that Savior. We need that saving grace.

  58. We need that restoration with God that we can

  59. reunite with our Heavenly Father. He loves you

  60. more than you would ever know. And he loves me

  61. too. And I'm so thankful for it. You know Psalms

  62. 66 says, make a joyful noise unto God. All the

  63. lands and every land around the world make a

  64. joyful noise unto the Lord. Glory to God. We

  65. have a lot to be joyful and He will fill you

  66. with that joy. The more you praise Him, the more

  67. joyful you'll get. Why? Because you have no worries

  68. in God. No worries. He said, anything outside

  69. of faith is sin, so worry is sin. Don't worry

  70. about it. Give it to God. whatever the situation.

  71. You go, well, you don't know what I'm going through.

  72. I've been through a lot myself, but guess what?

  73. Every time I give it to him, I still get joy.

  74. You can have peace in the midst of the storm.

  75. You can have joy in the midst of the storm. You

  76. say, how? Reach out to Jesus. He will come. His

  77. presence will meet you. His power will meet you

  78. the same way it has met you before. And if you've

  79. never met him, you've never felt that power.

  80. on his name. Check it out. You'll see exactly

  81. what I'm saying. It says in verse 3, say unto

  82. God how great are your works through the greatness

  83. of your power shall enemies submit themselves

  84. to you. All the earth shall worship you and shall

  85. sing unto you and they will sing to your name.

  86. Sila. Sila when you see that in the book of Psalms

  87. it means stop. think about this just think about

  88. how the great God is and how the whole earth

  89. worships his name you know the Bible says if

  90. we don't praise them the rocks will cry out well

  91. I'm not having no rock take my place no way are

  92. you kidding God's done too much for me if you

  93. are breathing if you are living if you can see

  94. if you can speak if you can hear you're already

  95. blessed But how much more blessed will you be

  96. to receive Jesus as your Savior? You know it

  97. says in verse 5, come and see the works of God.

  98. He is great in his doing towards the children

  99. of men. He turned the sea into dry land and they

  100. walked through the flood on foot. There did we

  101. rejoice in him. This is talking about back when

  102. Moses led the children of Israel across the Red

  103. Sea. You know the sea opened up on each side.

  104. They walked across and when the enemy that was

  105. chasing them was followed them into the Red Sea.

  106. The Red Sea came back down. The waters came back

  107. down and the enemy was drowned. God loves you.

  108. He will protect you. He will defend you. He will

  109. work for you when you praise his name. It says

  110. in verse seven, he ruled by his power forever.

  111. His eyes behold all the nations. Let the rebellious

  112. not exalt themselves. Selah. Better stop and

  113. think about that. You know, the goodness of God,

  114. the blessing of God, the grace of God, the mercy

  115. of God is all ours when we turn towards him.

  116. When we turn away and re -rebel, not so good.

  117. The Bible says you don't want to fall into the

  118. hands of an angry God Verse eight says Oh bless

  119. our God you people make the voice of his praise

  120. to be heard which holds our soul in life and

  121. Suffers and or allows not our feet to be removed.

  122. He will keep you in that place. He is your strength

  123. He is your fortress. He holds our soul and life.

  124. That is a powerful scripture. That is a powerful

  125. scripture. He loves you and he loves me and God

  126. is merciful in Psalm 67 it says to us and blesses

  127. us and causes his face to shine upon us. That's

  128. right. His mercy and his blessing is upon you

  129. today and his face. He's causing his face. to

  130. shine on you. Glory to God. Thank you, Lord.

  131. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. It's Hallelujah.

  132. It says, so that thy way may be known upon the

  133. earth and your saving health among the nations.

  134. He wants to bring you life and health in Jesus

  135. name. It says, Oh, let the nations be glad and

  136. sing for joy for you will judge the people righteously

  137. and govern the nations upon the earth. Sila stop

  138. and think about that. He wants us to be full

  139. of joy. We don't have to worry. He's got it taken

  140. care of. We need to do. he says love God and

  141. love people and all the other commandments hang

  142. on that verse five let the people praise God

  143. let all the people praise you then shall the

  144. earth yield her increase God even our God shall

  145. bless us God shall bless us and all the ends

  146. of the earth will fear his name glory to God

  147. He is such a good God. Remember back in Psalm

  148. 63, we need to thirst for Him and hunger for

  149. Him like a dry and thirsty land where there is

  150. no water. Praise God. Psalm 103, we're going

  151. to go there. It says, bless the Lord, oh my soul,

  152. and all that is within me. Bless his holy name.

  153. Have you ever just lifted your hands, lifted

  154. your head and say, I bless you, Lord. I love

  155. you, Lord. Never be ashamed of our God. Never

  156. be ashamed of your creator. He knew you before

  157. you were in your mother's womb. He created you.

  158. He gave you life and life abundantly, but it's

  159. ours to take by faith. We have to do it his way.

  160. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all

  161. his benefits. Verse two says, who forgives all

  162. our iniquities, all your sin, all of it. He will

  163. forgive all of it. if you will come and worship

  164. Him. If you will come and give him your life,

  165. it says who redeems our life from destruction.

  166. That's right. He will save you out of that destructive

  167. situation. He will save you out of destruction

  168. on your job in your relationships. It doesn't

  169. matter call on his name. Let him help you. But

  170. he also saves us from ultimate destruction and

  171. that's hell. There's a heaven and a hell. We

  172. want to go to heaven and we want to shun hell

  173. so we can do that. by accepting that redemption

  174. that he did for us when he came on the cross

  175. and rose again. And it also says, who satisfies

  176. our mouth with good things so that our youth

  177. is renewed like the eagles. Glory to God, we'll

  178. take some of that youth, won't we? That's right,

  179. he satisfies our mouth with good things so that

  180. your youth, my youth, we will be strong. We will

  181. live out our days in strength, the Bible says.

  182. Hallelujah, it says in verse eight, the Lord

  183. is merciful and gracious. He's slow to anger

  184. and plenteous in mercy. Great abundance of mercy.

  185. His mercies are new every morning. Did you use

  186. up a mercy yesterday? Well, guess what? There's

  187. a new one for you today. Glory to God. He loves

  188. you and he loves me and he came on this earth,

  189. sent his son, came in the form of a seed, was

  190. birthed through a virgin, rose again, lived on

  191. earth, rose again, died, rose again for you and

  192. for me. Glory to God. Psalm 104, bless the Lord,

  193. oh my soul. My God, you are very great. You are

  194. clothed with honor and majesty. You cover yourself

  195. with light like a garment. We're talking about

  196. our God, your God and my God. He covers himself

  197. like a garment with light. He stretched out the

  198. heavens like a curtain. He laid the beams of

  199. the chambers in the water. He makes the clouds

  200. his chariot and he walks upon the wings. of the

  201. wind glory to God. You know who wouldn't hunger

  202. and thirst after this God who wouldn't hunger

  203. and thirst. There's only one God one Savior one

  204. mediator between God and man and that's Jesus

  205. Christ. You don't have to turn to a man to confess

  206. your sin. You can but when you confess it to

  207. God and you repent it's gone forever. That's

  208. the greatness of our God. We don't have to live

  209. a condemned life because he's redeemed us from

  210. that destruction. Glory to God. Glory to God.

  211. We shout hallelujah. We praise God. I want you

  212. to turn to John now in chapter four. We're going

  213. to talk about thirsting for God. And in verse

  214. seven, it says there came a woman of Samaria

  215. to drink water and Jesus said to her, give me

  216. to drink. They were seated at Jacob's well. It

  217. talked about a few scriptures back and Jesus

  218. had been weary from his journey so he sat down

  219. at the well and he was going to look for some

  220. water and his disciples were gone away from to

  221. buy some meat at the time. Verse 9, and then

  222. said the woman of Samaria to him, how is it that

  223. you being Jew asked me to give me a drink because

  224. Jesus said give me a drink. for the Jews have

  225. no dealings with Samaritan. Because back in those

  226. days, there was a separation, you know, of class

  227. of people, just as men try to do that today.

  228. But guess what? There is no difference in people

  229. in God's eyes. We're all the same, just different

  230. colors, just different faces, different fingerprints,

  231. different voices, but in his eyes, he loves us

  232. all the same. And so this woman's questioning

  233. him. You're Jewish. I'm a Samaritan. Why are

  234. you talking to me? And Jesus said, if you knew

  235. the gift of God and who it is that says to you,

  236. give me a drink, you would have asked of him

  237. and he would have given you living water. Wow,

  238. living water. Then the woman said, Sir, I have

  239. nothing to draw. The well is deep for this living

  240. water and you greater than our father, Jacob,

  241. who gave us as well and drink from it. And Jesus

  242. said unto her whosoever drinks of this water

  243. will thirst again, but whosoever drinks of the

  244. water I will give will never thirst, but the

  245. water I give him will be springing of a well

  246. of life into everlasting life. hallelujah wow

  247. and then the woman said verse 15 sir give me

  248. this water i thirst not neither come here to

  249. draw he she was hungry she was thirsty she wanted

  250. that living water do you today Do you desire

  251. the living water of Christ? Could you take a

  252. fresh drink? Wouldn't you like this year to be

  253. the greatest year you've ever had? It can be.

  254. It will be if you, number one, believe it. If

  255. you, number two, ask for more living water of

  256. God. Ask Him to pour into you. Ask Him to give

  257. you that life flow. overflowing of goodness.

  258. He's an abundant God. You know when you pour

  259. a pitcher of water into a glass, when it gets

  260. to the top most people stop, but not Jesus. He

  261. keeps pouring and it's spilling over and what

  262. we call waste, God calls overflow. How would

  263. you like an overflow of the living water of God,

  264. glory to Jesus? An overflow of his goodness,

  265. an overflow of healing, an overflow of strength,

  266. an overflow of the fire of God. God, an overflow

  267. of his mercy and his grace. Grace, grace. God

  268. is a God of grace and mercy and love and it's

  269. good news. Hallelujah. It is good news. So this

  270. woman was at the well. She just came normal like

  271. every day, but this day she met up with Jesus.

  272. You know, Jesus will align our life and set up

  273. situations for us to meet him. You know, maybe

  274. for me, a friend of mine invited me and began

  275. talking to me about the Lord. And I wasn't raised

  276. in a Christian home. I didn't know about Jesus.

  277. We had a big fat Bible on our coffee table, but

  278. no one ever talked about him. My parents didn't

  279. know him at the time. Later they did, thank God.

  280. They're in heaven now, glory to God. And we had

  281. Bible story books, but no, there was no real

  282. connection there until my friend. began to talk

  283. to me about Jesus and I got born again. because

  284. of the message of the gospel, of the good news.

  285. And you can be born again too. You can live this

  286. life if you don't know him. If you do know him

  287. and you've walked away or you got disappointed

  288. and didn't understand something, don't blame

  289. God. Go to his word and find out how good he

  290. is. You'll realize God will take your ashes and

  291. turn it into beauty. He'll take that bad situation

  292. and bless you and flip that thing around. you'll

  293. be surprised what God can do with a very little.

  294. He said if you have faith of a mustard seed,

  295. you know we need to praise him and thank him.

  296. You know how good he is. He's so good that in

  297. the book of John, way over in the last chapter

  298. 21 in verse 25, John wrote and said, and there

  299. also were many other things which Jesus did that

  300. if it should be written every one, I would suppose

  301. that even the world itself could not contain

  302. the books that should be written. Wow, that's

  303. how good God is. He's all the time pouring out

  304. his goodness. He's all the time pouring out his

  305. grace, his mercy, his healing, his strength,

  306. his deliverance. Maybe it's deliverance you need.

  307. Maybe you've been fighting a battle with alcohol

  308. or drugs or pornography or any kind of gossip.

  309. Maybe you have a problem with gossip. Guess what?

  310. The Deliverer. God says he will set you free.

  311. All you have to do is call on him and say, Lord,

  312. ask him. Say, please help me. Give me deliverance.

  313. He will set you free in a moment. You just have

  314. to say, I believe it and I receive it and begin

  315. to walk it out. That's right. We're going to

  316. go to a song right now. a couple of songs. They're

  317. both going to be about praise. Just praise and

  318. worship God and I'll come back and talk to you

  319. in just a moment. Let every breath praise the

  320. Lord. Every bit of worship to our God. Hallelujah.

  321. I want to offer you an opportunity right now.

  322. If you've never received this Jesus, but you

  323. want to, just pray this prayer with me. Dear

  324. Heavenly Father, I come before you. I need you.

  325. I want you. I ask you to come into my life. I

  326. repent of my sin. I renounce the world, and I

  327. thank you that Jesus is my Lord. In Jesus' name,

  328. amen. If you prayed that prayer, you've been

  329. born again. All of heaven rejoices and calls

  330. out your name. You need to go out and share with

  331. someone that you did that. God said, if we will

  332. not be ashamed of him, he won't be ashamed of

  333. us. Get in a good Bible -believing church. Praise

  334. the Lord. Read the word yourself. We want you

  335. to have a blessed year. I declare a blessing

  336. over you if you're within my voice right now

  337. I declare the blessing of God over you. I speak

  338. blessing and strength and healing and fire We

  339. thank you for listening today go out and make

  340. it a great day know that we love you God loves

  341. you and you are a champion in Christ
