It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast
-
with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay of Anish. Good
-
morning and welcome to Champions in Christ. This
-
is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice
-
and be glad in it. Wow, what a week it's been.
-
Snow in places you haven't heard of snow being
-
in quite some time. We got some snow as well
-
and snow always reminds me, I love. beautiful
-
snow. It always reminds me of the scripture that
-
talks about when God says when he washes our
-
sin away, he washes us white as snow. Pure, just
-
pure white and it just sparkles in the sunlight.
-
It's beautiful. We're going to talk today about
-
how treasured and valued you are in God's eyes.
-
You know God loves you so much and we're going
-
to go in the Bible today to Psalms 139, and I'm
-
going to read it in the New Living Translation,
-
and we're going to stop along the way. It says,
-
Oh Lord, you have examined my heart. You know
-
everything about me. Can you believe that? God
-
knows your heart. He knows every single thing
-
about your life. It continues on and says, you
-
know, when I sit down, you know, when I stand
-
up. You know my thoughts even when they're far
-
away. You see me when I travel and when I rest
-
at home. Just think about that. He knows when
-
you sit down and when you stand up. He knows
-
when you travel. He knows when you're resting.
-
He knows every detail of your life. He is omnipresent.
-
That means he can be everywhere at the same time.
-
There's only one God. There's only one Lord.
-
There's only one faith. There's only one Holy
-
Spirit, and there's only one Jesus Christ. Verse
-
three says, or verse four says, you know everything
-
I do. He knows everything we do, good, bad, and
-
the ugly. You know. You go before me and you
-
follow me. That means God is always with you
-
You know, the Bible says he never leaves you
-
He never forsakes you when he created Adam. He
-
already had you in mind He had us in mind long
-
long time ago, even before Adam. He had you in
-
mind He wanted fellowship. He wanted a family.
-
He wanted relationship He follows you. He follows
-
you. You know, there's in Psalms 23. It says
-
goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days
-
of my life. Wow. Isn't that awesome? God's goodness
-
and mercy. You know, if you're in a hard time
-
in a hard situation right now, God's goodness
-
and mercy is following you. You don't have to
-
worry. You're coming out. If you put your trust
-
in him, if you put that faith in him, he's going
-
to bring you through and you're going to be better
-
than you ever were. It goes on to say, you place
-
your hand of blessing upon my head. You know
-
everything about God towards you or I is nothing
-
but love and grace and mercy and kindness and
-
forgiveness. He is the God who forgives why because
-
his son he sent his son to take the payment for
-
our sin that we could be forgiven. You know the
-
fact that God knows every single thing we do
-
every single thing we. Look at every thought
-
we have. He's there when we sit down. He's there
-
when we stand up. He's there when we sleep. He's
-
there when we're busy working. He's there when
-
we're with our children. He's there when we're
-
in sin, you know, the Bible says while we were
-
sinners Christ loved us. He says such knowledge
-
is too wonderful for me too great for me to understand.
-
You know, this is this is David talking about
-
the Lord to the Lord. And this is a song. So
-
it was a song of sorts back then and it's beautiful.
-
It's beautiful. You know that knowledge to think
-
about it think about how God could think about
-
you your five brothers your two sisters your
-
cousins, your aunt, he thinks about everybody
-
every single day. We are the forethought. We
-
are his whole heart. He loves human humanity.
-
He loves the human race, all kinds, all colors.
-
It doesn't matter. He loves us the same. It doesn't
-
matter if you're the worst sinner on the planet
-
or you're not. He loves you the same. Why that
-
love? change. It can't change. He chose to love
-
us. Now, does that mean he's happy when we're
-
in sin or happy when we're making bad decisions?
-
Absolutely not. Let's go on in verse 7. It says,
-
I can never escape your Holy Spirit. Never. Never
-
can we escape the Spirit of God. It says, I can
-
never get away from your presence. Oh and in
-
another place David praise earnestly take not
-
your presence from me. You know, we can't get
-
away from his presence because he's everywhere.
-
He just loves you so much. He just wants to do
-
so many wonderful things in your life, but he
-
won't do it without your permission. He'll bless
-
you. He'll give you mercy. You know, there may
-
be someone else praying for you today. Maybe
-
you've hated God. Maybe you got mad at God thinking
-
God did something wrong or didn't allow something
-
in your life. Guess what? God gets blamed for
-
a lot of things. He doesn't do there is a real
-
enemy on the planet. And his name is Satan and
-
he's got a horde of demons that align with him.
-
But guess what? Jesus defeated him and them on
-
the cross. So once you know your authority in
-
him, once you've given your life to him, there's
-
no wall. You can't climb over. There's no victory
-
that can't be won in your life because the Bible
-
says nothing is impossible with our God. Nothing.
-
David continues to say, if I go up into heaven,
-
you're there. If I go down in the grave, you're
-
there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if
-
I dwell in the farthest ocean, even there your
-
hand will guide me. We know that's true because
-
of Jonah. You know, Jonah was a very rebellious
-
man of God. He was a prophet and and God told
-
him to go to Nineveh and he just didn't want
-
to. So he got got himself on a boat. And he started
-
heading in another direction, but the loving
-
correction of God, the loving correction, there
-
goes his mercy with Jonah. You know, he showed
-
him mercy by letting him be swallowed up in a
-
large fish or whale. You know, but he was with
-
Jonah and Jonah repented. And guess what? God
-
restored him to that place as prophet. He went
-
and prophesied and it saved Nineveh and all the
-
people there. So it's important we yield to the
-
Lord is for our own good. You know, he loves
-
you. He doesn't want to harm you. You know, Jeremiah
-
29 11, he knows the thoughts and the plans he
-
has for you plans to prosper you and give you
-
a future not to harm you. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
It says, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even
-
there your hand will guide me. Your strength
-
will support me. He's always there to support
-
you. If no one else is there, if you're in Antarctica,
-
if you are in Iceland, if you are all by yourself
-
because you decided to be by yourself in a small
-
place, in the woods somewhere, guess what? God
-
is there with you. He is there. David continues
-
on in verse 11. He says, I could ask the darkness
-
to hide me and the light around me to become
-
night. But even in darkness, I can't hide from
-
you. Wow. Wow. Just think God is right there
-
waiting to hear your prayer, waiting to hear
-
your opinion, waiting to talk to you. He wants
-
fellowship with you. Talk to him all during the
-
day. You know, it says, you made all the delicate
-
and inward parts of my body and knit me together
-
in my mother's womb. You know, that's why life
-
begins at conception because God created us in
-
our mother's womb out of that little bitty cell.
-
Praise God. Praise God. And David says, thank
-
you for making me so wonderfully complex. When
-
you realize, and those of you who've been to
-
medical school do realize, how complex the human
-
body is and how powerful the hand of God is to
-
create all of that in a little cell. And it just
-
expands into this human being that can see and
-
hear and speak and run and do feats that people
-
could never believe. all because of his wonderful
-
works. David continued to say, your workmanship
-
is marvelous. How well I know it. You know, if
-
you just look, if you've taken biology in school,
-
and we all have, unless you haven't as of yet,
-
biology will tell us so many wonderful things
-
about all the things God created. and his love
-
for you and I just in the creation he prepared
-
before he brought Adam and the earth and the
-
earth we live today although it's been corrupted
-
by sin and sickness and and all the horrible
-
things of the enemy guess what it's still beautiful
-
you still can look out in the woods and see the
-
beauty of his handiwork the mountains and the
-
valleys and the You know, we are so blessed in
-
America. We get to see it all. If we took a tour
-
around America, we would see the greatest mountains.
-
We would see the Grand Canyon and the valleys.
-
We would see the beautiful red rock. We would
-
see the oceans, the lakes, the rivers, the streams,
-
the snow, the sun, the heat, the sand. Beautiful,
-
beautiful handiwork. Thank God for his handiwork
-
and Heaven's even better. Good thing we can't
-
see that or we wouldn't want to be here, right?
-
And he goes on to say, you watched me as I was
-
being formed in utter seclusion. And as I was
-
woven together in the dark of the womb, you saw
-
me before I was born. He knew you before you
-
were born. How about that? Think on that. Selah,
-
S -E -L -A -H, it means think on that. Wow, he
-
knew you before you were even born. That's why
-
abortion is such a, it's not only heartbreaking
-
and sad, but it's murder because you're taking
-
away life that you didn't give. and that life
-
doesn't have a chance unless we give it to them.
-
And if you've had an abortion, God's grace and
-
His mercy is there. He'll forgive you if you
-
repent. He'll heal that place in you and He'll
-
restore you to that rightful place with Him.
-
So there's no condemnation in deception. Many
-
people, we've all been deceived in this or that
-
thinking this way or that way, not knowing God's
-
word. But he will redeem us. Hallelujah. If we
-
repent, it says every moment was laid before
-
a single day was passed. He already knew he already
-
knew what was going to happen. He knows the end
-
from the beginning and the beginning from the
-
end. How precious are your thoughts about me?
-
Oh, God, they cannot be numbered. I cannot even
-
count them. They outnumber the grains of the
-
sand. Wow. Think of the grains of the sand all
-
over the world, under the oceans and above those
-
which we can squish our toes in. His thoughts
-
towards you are outnumbered, are outnumbered
-
like the sands of the sea. Can you imagine? how
-
much he thinks about you, how much he wants to
-
bless you, how much he loves you. Oh, that sin's
-
not worth it. No, no, no, no. His payment, he
-
gave his life that we could be free. He gave
-
his life that you could be set free from alcohol,
-
drugs, sickness, disease, infirmity, calamity,
-
poverty. He took it all. It's the good news of
-
the gospel. He is ready to pour it out in your
-
life. The only thing he says is you have to believe
-
the grit, the size of a mustard seed, which is
-
one of the smallest seeds created. That's how
-
much faith you have to have and he'll do it for
-
you. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. He
-
says, and when I wake up, you are still with
-
me. He's right there when you wake up. You know,
-
you can say good morning, Lord. And he's saying
-
good morning back. Good morning, Lord. Let's
-
start this day together. Good morning, Lord.
-
Help me lead me guide me. You know, we never
-
go wrong with his guidance. Never. Anytime he
-
spoke in the word of God to someone and they
-
were obedient to that word. it only blessed them.
-
It only brought them reward. It only brought
-
them success. It only brought them answered prayer.
-
Do you know there wasn't one sick person when
-
Jesus was on the earth that asked him to heal
-
him and believed him for it and received? There
-
is no one that didn't receive it. No one. Everybody
-
was healed. Why? Because they believed. Now when
-
he went to Nazareth, Nazareth People wouldn't
-
believe him. They looked at him as the carpenter's
-
son. They didn't understand the gravity of who
-
he was. They just chose not to believe. Believing
-
is a choice. So change your thoughts. If you
-
had a bad idea about God, if you thought he was
-
not a good person, not a good person, not a good
-
God, if you thought that there was another God,
-
guess what? Buddha's in the grave. His dust is
-
still there. Every other God is nothing. There
-
is no other God but our God. Hallelujah. There
-
is no one else that can be everywhere you are,
-
that knows every thought about you, that created
-
you. There is no other. So what are you waiting
-
on? If you want the goodness of God flooding
-
your life, then why wouldn't you? He's so good.
-
He's so great. but he's not going to overcome
-
your will. He's so loving and so wanted us to
-
love him on our own that he chose to give us
-
free will. Therefore we don't all have to choose
-
him and unfortunately not everybody will and
-
because they don't accept that free gift and
-
their sins won't be forgiven, they will find
-
themselves in an eternal hell forever. But those
-
of us who choose him, those of us who realize
-
the greatness of our God, we get to live eternally
-
with him. And heaven's a beautiful place, and
-
there'll be a new earth and a new heaven, and
-
it's great, but greater than what we'll be living
-
around, we'll be living with him. But it doesn't
-
have to start in heaven, it can start right here.
-
You can have heaven on earth by following him,
-
by following his word. Does that mean you'll
-
not have trouble? No. No, no, no, no, because
-
every test, every trial, every situation you
-
overcome is another victory for God and for you.
-
So yes, we will continue to have trouble. We
-
will be persecuted. Yes, we will. But guess what?
-
God's overcome the world. He said, be of good
-
cheer. So change your thoughts today. Put your
-
eyes on Jesus and trust him. You know, David
-
was human. But he's praying and he's talking
-
to God and he's thinking about what great God
-
is. And then he switches tones a little bit and
-
he says, oh God, this is verse 19. If you only
-
would destroy the wicked, get them out of my
-
life, murderers. They blaspheme you. Your enemies
-
misuse your name. Boy, we know that to be true,
-
don't we? Oh Lord, shouldn't I hate those that
-
hate you? Shouldn't I despise those that oppose
-
you? Yes, I hate them with a total hatred for
-
your enemies are my enemies. That was God, I
-
mean David, sharing and venting to God. But I
-
want to read you something in the New Testament
-
and what God tells us to do about our enemies.
-
He says this is Jesus talking in Matthew 5 43
-
says you've heard the law says love your neighbors
-
and hate your enemies But I say love your enemies
-
pray for those who persecute you In that way,
-
you will be acting as a true child of your father
-
in heaven. For he gives sunlight to both the
-
evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just
-
and the unjust. If you love only those that love
-
you, what reward do you have? For even the corrupt
-
tax collectors can do that much. If you're kind
-
only to your friends, how are you different from
-
anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you...
-
be perfect in love even as your father in heaven
-
is. You know when you go, how can I do that?
-
How can I love those that have hurt me? How can
-
I love those that hate me? How can I love those
-
that persecute you? You can't accept through
-
God's love. And as He expands your heart, you
-
know, one of my prayers daily is, God, give me
-
a heart to see people as you see them and to
-
love them as you love them. Because only when
-
He fills you with His goodness, His grace, His
-
Holy Spirit, can you love Him like that. You
-
know, so David was just venting to God because
-
then I want you to see what David ends this psalm
-
with. He says, search my heart, O God, and know
-
my ways. Test me and know my anxious thought.
-
Point out anything to me that offends you and
-
lead me along the path of everlasting life. He
-
doesn't want you tripped up and stumbling. He
-
doesn't. You are precious to God. That's what
-
the word says. You are precious to him. You are
-
loved and forgiven and healed and delivered if
-
you'll just receive him at his word. And we want
-
to keep our heart with all diligence because
-
out of it is the issues of life. Don't let the
-
junk in, get the junk out, let it go, vent to
-
God as David did. He wants to hear your venting
-
and he wants to turn your heart. David, King
-
David was known as a man after God's own heart.
-
That's what God said about him. Why? Because
-
he knew to run to God when he was having bad
-
thoughts and feelings and he knew how to let
-
it go and receive God's mercy and grace. You
-
know Isaiah says you are precious, honored, and
-
loved by God. And Romans 8, 18 says, for I don't
-
consider the sufferings of this present time
-
worthy or to be compared with the glory to be
-
revealed to us. You know what you're going through
-
right now? It's going to pass, but change your
-
thoughts and act. Act in faith towards God. Believe
-
His word and you'll see it come to pass. You
-
know, God knows how to find you. He knows you.
-
He knows you. I want to tell you a few people
-
in the Bible. You know, there was Rahab who was
-
a harlot who ended up being born again, loving
-
God and following after him. Paul was a religious
-
Pharisee. He knew the Pentateuch, the Old Testament
-
like nobody business, and he thought he was doing
-
right, but he was persecuting and killing Christians
-
because he had a form of godliness and denied
-
the power thereof. Zacchaeus, he was a tax collector
-
and he was very money hungry. Noah would get
-
drunk. Joseph was abused. There's nothing you
-
have felt or done that someone else before you
-
probably listed in the Bible and God didn't redeem
-
them. Everyone I'm listing to you turned to God
-
and God redeemed them. How about Noah being a
-
Christian but rebellious in his walk with God
-
and he was a prophet. He's in the fivefold ministry
-
gifts and God redeemed him. God redeemed him.
-
He loves you today. He will redeem you. He will
-
redeem you if you just let him. If you just realize
-
how much he loves you, how much he thinks about
-
you, how good he is, how good he is. He knows
-
what you're going through. He knows what you're
-
going through. We're going to listen to a song
-
just about that very thing, how God knows what
-
you're going through and how he loves you. and
-
I'll come right back and talk with you after
-
that. And every day you try to pick up all the
-
pieces All the memories that somehow never leave
-
you Nobody, nobody, nobody sees you Nobody, nobody
-
will believe you God only knows what you've been
-
through God only knows what they say about you
-
God only knows how it's killing you But there's
-
a kind of love that God only knows Somebody,
-
somebody sees you Somebody, somebody will never
-
leave you God only knows what you've been through
-
God only knows what they say about you God only
-
knows how it's killing you But there's a kind
-
of love that God only knows If you're lonely
-
today, if you're ashamed, if you're misunderstood,
-
if you are the one to blame, you can start over
-
with God. You really can. You can start over
-
with Him today. Right now, you know, He knows
-
how to find you because He already knows where
-
you're at. He's right there with you. He knows
-
the real you. He knows the things you... you
-
you have in secret and you're afraid to tell
-
that you're afraid someone's going to find out
-
just as that song said he knows you he knows
-
you and guess what he loves you he's pursuing
-
you with all of his heart once you give him opportunity
-
once you give him a chance he'll heal your broken
-
heart he'll give you a miracle if you need one
-
that's right he will do it he will do it And
-
I want to take this opportunity, just pray with
-
me. Say, Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me, cleanse
-
me. I realize now that you love me, that you're
-
there for me. And I ask you to be my Lord, my
-
Savior. I repent of my sin. I renounce the things
-
of the world. And thank you. Thank you for filling
-
me with your Holy Spirit and with the fire of
-
God. Thank you for loving me. When I couldn't
-
love myself and I choose to forgive myself Of
-
all the things I've done just as you have chosen
-
to forgive in me in Jesus name If you prayed
-
that prayer today, I want to say you've been
-
born again. You've been restored to that rightful
-
place. Old things are passed away. Your sin is
-
gone and washed away. What do you want to do
-
now? You want to get a Bible. You want to start
-
reading it in the New Testament first, I would
-
recommend. Find a good church that preaches the
-
whole word of God, the whole counsel of God,
-
that love people. where the power of God moves
-
and you walk out changed. God loves you and that'll
-
strengthen you. That's why He wants us gathering
-
with the body. It strengthens us. Listen, if
-
you need to reach out to us, you can reach us
-
at championsinchrist3 at gmail .com. We love
-
you today. We want you to go out and make it
-
a great day. We want you to know that God loves
-
you. We love you. and you are a champion in Christ.
