It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast

with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 Bay FM. Good morning

and welcome to Champions in Christ broadcast.

We're so grateful that you joined us today. This

is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice

and be glad in it. Hope you're having a great

morning to start this week out today. We're going

to go into the book of John and we're going to

go to chapter 4 and we're going to talk about

someone Jesus met. So let's start in verse 3

and it says he left Judea and departed again

to Galilee. and he needed to go through Samaria

and when he did he came into the city of Samaria,

which is called Sychar near to the parcel of

ground where Jacob gave his son Joseph and Jacob's

well was there. This is the same Jacob. We talked

about last week whose new name is Israel and

Jesus therefore was tired with from his journey.

And so he sat down by the whale and it was about

noon time. And there came a woman from Samaria

to draw water. Jesus said unto her, give me to

drink, for his disciples were gone away to the

city to buy meat. Then she said the woman of

Samaria to him, how is it that you being a Jew

ask me for a drink when I am a woman from Samaria?

For the Jews had no dealings with the Samaritans.

Verse 10, Jesus answered and said unto her, If

you knew the gift of God and who it is that ask

you give me to drink you would ask me to give

you living water. The woman said unto him sir,

you have nothing to draw the water out of the

whale. It's deep. From where do you get living

water? Are you greater than our father Israel

Jacob which came? And gave us this well for us

to drink and he drank of himself and his children

and his cattle. And Jesus said unto her whosoever

drinks this water will thirst again. But who

whoever drinks the water that I give shall never

thirst again. But the water I give shall be in

him a well of water springing up into everlasting

life. The woman said into him sir give me this

water that I would not thirst neither that I

have to come here to draw She was confusing the

natural water with the spiritual water Jesus

is talking about being born again He's talking

about living water you know that well when you

get born again old things are passed away you

become a new creature in Christ your absolute

the Holy Spirit puts a whole new man inside of

you basically and that living water it's the

Holy Spirit in you that living well of water

pursues up out of your mouth and you will have

eternal life. And she can't fathom that she's

still thinking he's talking about physical water

and Jesus said go and call your husband. This

is verse 16. And then come back and the woman

said I don't have a husband and Jesus said you

have said well that you have no husband for actually

you've had five husbands and the guy you're with

now is not your husband. Isn't that true? And

the woman said sir. I recognize that you are

a prophet our fathers worshiped in this mountain

and you say Jerusalem and you say that in Jerusalem

is the place where men ought to worship and Jesus

said woman believe me the hour comes when it

doesn't matter whether you're on the mountain

or in Jerusalem to worship the father you worship

what you do not know we worship. We know what

we worship for salvation is of the Jews, but

the hours coming in now is when the true worshipers

will worship the Father in spirit and in truth

for the Father seeks to worship him such people

to worship him. God is a spirit and they that

worship him must worship him in spirit and in

truth. So here he's trying to get over to her

and explain to her. the difference between the

spirit and the natural and that you become a

new creature in Christ and that old things are

passed away and she's he's trying to get her

to understand well she in verse 25 the woman

said I know that the Messiah is coming which

is called Christ and when he's come he will tell

us all things and Jesus looked at her and said

I that am speaking to you am he So he's saying

I am the Christ Wow and upon this the disciples

came up and marveled that he was talking to this

woman yet. No one said who seek who do you seek

and why do you talk to or why do you talk to

her the woman then left her water pot and went

her way into the city and said to the men come

see this man that told me all things that I ever

did and is not this the Christ. and then they

all went out of the city and came to him wow

wow here's a woman going to the well and she's

just trying to get her measure of water for that

day or a couple of days and here she meets Jesus

you know when you least expect it you could meet

Jesus you can meet him today and we'll share

with you how at the end of the broadcast But

if you haven't met him, maybe you've met him

and you've walked away. You got hurt life through

your curveball. You blamed God. You blamed yourself.

You said I'm done with this. He never leaves

you or forsakes you. He wants that relationship

with you. He put a living well, the well that

we're talking about inside of you when you gave

your heart to him the first time. He's just saying

come back. I miss you. I love you. I want you

I want that relationship restored. I want to

bless you and He blesses us anyway, but this

woman obviously was a woman of a broken heart,

you know She had had five husbands and now the

guy she's with wasn't her husband And so she

had some unresolved things in her heart. You

could tell and she beat herself down because

she's from Samaria and they were looked down

upon from the Jews and and here's loving compassionate

merciful Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom we both

love and serve and he's reaching out to her and

he's saying to her come and drink. The water

that makes you never thirst again. In other words,

I can fulfill you in a way that water in the

natural can't. You know, many people, especially

people that are people of comfort. In other words,

they have enough wealth or enough substance that

they're comfortable. Their life is easy. They're

breezy, but something's missing. There's always

going to be that void till you meet him as she

did till you meet Jesus Christ Because he is

life itself. The Bible says he is the way he

is the truth and he is the life and If you need

a broken heart healed today like she did, you

know Psalms 147 3 says he heals the broken -hearted

and binds up their wounds You know, when I met

Jesus back when I was 21, 22, I was in that same

place with her not not having five husbands,

but I was had been in a relationship and I was

very broken hearted at that point. And just feeling,

you know, just trying to get through days and

and going to work and doing what I needed to

do. And thankfully, someone came along and kept

I say pestering me. to go to church with them

and when I went I was exposed to the truth about

Jesus Christ and it made me have some questions

and later my friend and I went to a place and

I asked questions, she shared the word and my

eyes were opened and I received Jesus and he

came in and healed my heart. He goes where no

man can go. And he does what no man can do a

surgeon can't heal. He can heal your physical

heart, but he can't heal your heart of hearts.

But Jesus can and Jesus will if you will reach

out to him. If you will allow him to he will

do it. He will heal your heart. And you will

know that he sealed you because when you talk

about that situation just as like I'm talking

about it to you today. It will feel as if it's

happened to someone else and you're just sharing

something you heard. So don't think Jesus isn't

interested in you and what's going on in your

life. He's interested in every single detail

Psalms 56 8 says. You kept track of all my sorrows.

You have collected all my tears in a bottle and

you have recorded each one of them in a book.

Verse 9 says my enemies will retreat when I call

on you for help. Do you know that he has kept

every tear you've shed in a bottle and he's written

down and recorded each time that you cry and

what it was about? He is such a loving father.

He is such a best friend. He is love complete.

That's who he is that agape love. He doesn't

he doesn't care if you've cussed and screamed

and did terrible things. He loves you and he

wants to heal your heart and he wants to to take

care of those things that have hurt you or come

against you if if you're just willing. To let

it go just let it go and give it to him. God

is faithful. We're going to keep reading on.

And it says in the meanwhile, his disciples prayed

and asked him or urged him master eat and he

said to them. I have food that you don't even

know about. Then his disciples are kind of looking

at each other and they're saying in verse 33

has someone else brought him food? You know they

weren't getting what he was saying and he said

to them my food is to do the will of him that

sent me and to finish his work. You know Jesus

came in obedience to the father and he was willing

to do that for you and for me and so food although

we need it physically. That wasn't his focus.

His focus was what God wanted to do for us as

children, as people that he's created, human

beings that he loves so much. And he says, you

say there's four months and then comes the harvest.

But I say, lift up your eyes and look, the fields

are white and ready to harvest. And he that reaps

receives wages and gathers fruit life eternal.

and both he the sower and the reaper rejoice

together and he's talking about souls he's talking

about people that are broken and hurting and

lost and sin and sickness and poverty and all

those things that he came to take care of the

the harvest is white and we have to get out there

and share jesus and tell people god loves them

and let him set them free give them opportunity

like he gave you and he gave me If you know Jesus,

then tell someone if you know him, share what

he's done in your life. Every single person has

a testimony that has met Jesus Christ, just like

this woman at the well. You cannot run into Jesus

and not not have a testimony about something

he's done unless you reject him. You know, he

doesn't force us to believe on him. He doesn't

force his blessings on us. His mercy is there

all the time. The fact that we're still breathing

if we don't know Jesus and he's still giving

us opportunity to know him. That's a blessing

in itself that we're not even aware of the fact

that I went 21 years not knowing Jesus. I wasn't

raised in a Christian home. So not knowing Jesus.

You know, thank God I didn't die before then,

because I would have went to hell. Heaven and

hell are real. And there's no in -between, according

to the Word of God. Now, if you listen to other

places and read other books, you're going to

think otherwise. But according to the Holy Word

of God that was inspired, written by men, but

inspired by the Holy Ghost to be written, it's

truth. And thank God we thank God for heaven.

We thank God. We're going to see our loved ones

there. They've received Jesus. We thank God.

There's no sickness. No pain. No, no devil. He

was cast out of their buddy when he blew it.

He blew it. He got into pride and thank God the

Lord. G they cast him out of heaven and he's

nothing Jesus defeated him on the cross. He's

defeated in your life. You have nothing. There's

no devil that can come against a child of God

because the Holy Spirit the same power that raised

Jesus from the dead lives in you and lives in

me and the devil has nothing on Jesus Christ

and has nothing on you as a child of God because

God's given you authority over all the works

of the devil. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And so

we keep reading in verse 39 and many of Samaritans

of the city believed on Jesus for the saying

of this woman which testified. He told me all

things that I did. So when the Samaritans were

come to him, they asked him. and that he would

stay with them and he stayed in Samaria for two

days and many more believed because of his word

and they said unto the woman now we believe not

because of your saying for we have heard him

ourselves and we know this is indeed the Christ

the Savior of the world. But earlier it said

they came to see him because she told them the

same way if you and I will share our testimony

of how God saved us and delivered us and healed

us and that other people will want to hear of

his goodness because everybody has need of a

Savior everybody. So we have to be bold and we

should be if we love him with our whole heart.

He loves us so much. And the Bible says, you

know, how can they know unless they hear? How

can they hear unless a preach? They hear the

preaching of the word. And how can the preaching

of the word happen unless someone goes? Does

that mean we're all called into fivefold ministry?

No, but the Bible says that he told his disciples,

you go and preach the word. We are all to share

our testimony. That's what preaching the word

is telling someone Jesus loves them. That's preaching

the word. You don't have to know the Bible inside

out every day. People are dying going to hell

just that fast every day every day every day

every day. And so we want to share Jesus and

give them that opportunity. Will everybody accept

him? No, unfortunately, but we want to give everybody

opportunity for those that do because and it

will be fruit to your heavenly account. So God

will grant you boldness. If you ask him Lord

grant me boldness that I can be a witness. That's

what happened when he sent the disciples after

he was raised from the dead. He sent them to

the upper room and said stay there till you be

in dude with power from on high to be witnesses

to be witnesses. Hallelujah. That's who we are

to be witnesses of what he's done in our life.

And why wouldn't we when someone does something

good for you? Don't you go and share it? Don't

you say, hey, guess what my husband did for me

today or guess what my friend did or guess what?

I got a bonus from my boss today. We share the

good news when other people. Come into our life

and do something nice or kind or so. Let's get

out there. Let's share the Word of God. Let's

share what Jesus has done in our life with others

so they too can know the good news of the gospel.

It's all good news. Jesus is all good news. Matter

of fact, it's great news. So we got to get out

there and really talk to people, you know, for

Jesus himself. It says, let's see, where were

we? Okay. So 40 first 43 now after two days,

he departed and went into Galilee for Jesus himself

testified that a prophet has no honor in his

own country. And when he was coming to Galilee,

the Galileans received him having seen all the

things he did in Jerusalem at the feast for they

all went into the feast. So Jesus came again

into Canaan of Galilee where he made water into

wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose

son was sick in Capernaum. And when he had heard

that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee,

he went unto him and asked him and said, asked

him if he would come down and heal his son for

his son was at the point of death and Jesus said

in him except you see signs and wonders you won't

believe and the nobleman said sir come down my

child dies Jesus said go your way your son lives

and the man believed the word Jesus spoke to

him and he went his way and as he went and he

was going down his servants met him and told

him saying your son lives and then inquired asked

of him. What hour did he begin to heal and they

said unto him yesterday at the seventh hour the

fever left him and the father knew it was the

same hour that Jesus said to him your son lives

and he believed and his whole house believed.

And this again was the second miracle Jesus did

when he came out of Judea into Galilee. Wow,

that's amazing, isn't it? Jesus speaks the word.

This man wanted him to come and lay hands on

him. But Jesus said, no, you believe on the word.

Just go and trust. I'm telling you, he's healed.

And that was the man's action by him going by

him believing the word in his heart and going.

That's where his faith and his action met. And

every time faith and action come together, you

get what you prayed for according to the will

of God and his will is his word and sickness

and disease is not something he wants you having

wrestling matches with. He wants it defeated

out of your life the same way he did for this

man. He didn't ask him. He didn't ask him anything

not his past not what he did not what his son

did nothing. He just said believe and go and

he did and he was healed and then his whole household

because of that testimony. It worked. Praise

God for the whole family, but that woman at the

well, if you're hurting today, God loves you.

He wants to minister to you. He wants to meet

you. at your well. That can be your car, your

home. If you're listening to me, he wants to

meet you right where you are. We're going to

go to a song and we'll come back in just a moment.

I heard a story from the Bible When I was just

a little girl About a broken hearted woman Who

met the savior of the world Thought it was just

another story One that the preacher man would

read But as I'm sitting here at home Drinking

red wine all alone I think that woman might be

me Cause tonight You'll just I'd like a drink

of water if you can spare it. Leasing what a

parched throat will do. Aren't I unclean to you?

Won't you be defiled by this vessel? Maybe some

of my people say that about your women, but I

don't. Yeah? What do you say? I say if you knew

who I am, you'd be asking me for a drink. Really?

And I would give you living water. I've made

mistakes. Too many. Where am I supposed to go

when I need God? God is spirit. And the time

is coming and is now here. That it won't matter

where you worship, but only that you do it in

spirit and truth. Heart and mind, that, that

is the kind of worshiper he's looking for. It

won't matter where you're from. what you've done.

I have not revealed myself to the public as the

Messiah. You are the first. It would be good

if you believed me. Praise God, the woman at

the well. What a great testimony. What a great

testimony. And if you're listening today, And

you're saying, I want that. I want Jesus to meet

me right here where I am. Guess what? He's right

there. And you can pray this prayer. Say this

after me. Dear Jesus, I come to you today. I

want to meet you. I want to know you. Forgive

me of my sin. Wash me. Heal me. Set me free.

Set me on that path. that I too can share Jesus.

Fill me with your Holy Spirit that I too will

have boldness to share with others. I believe

you died on the cross. I believe you rose again.

I believe that you're coming back. I thank you

in Jesus name. Amen. If you prayed that prayer

today, you've just been born again and Jesus

heard your prayer. He you just thank him for

that healing in your heart. You thank him for

that deliverance. You thank him and you go rejoicing

because the joy of the Lord is your strength.

And that's what he fills us with his joy. Hallelujah.

We thank God for his joy. And I just want to

let you know that Get in your Bible getting in

the Bible for me has been one of the greatest

blessings of my life because God will illuminate

scriptures to you. He will bring things out and

it'll help you in your walk with him start in

the New Testament start in the New Testament,

but listen know that God loves you. There are

churches all over pick one that teaches the whole

Council of God where you walk in you can hear

the word with your heart open and be changed

and walk out. Know that he loves you today. He

loves you. We love you. You are a champion. You

are a champion in Christ because of what Christ

has done for you. And I want you to know if you
