It's time for the Champions in Christ broadcast
-
with Rhonda Harrison on 1017 KFN Good morning
-
and welcome to Champions in Christ we're so glad
-
you joined us today and We are looking forward
-
to getting into the Word of God and today. We're
-
going to talk about that Jesus is alive He's
-
alive and he loves you And we are so excited
-
about the Word of God and about Jesus because
-
He came so that you and I could have life and
-
life abundantly. And that's what we're going
-
to do. We're going to live this life victoriously
-
like the champion God has called you and I to
-
be. And so we're going to start this morning
-
in Ezekiel 37 .1. Ezekiel is a great name. One
-
of my grandsons is named Ezekiel and he is great
-
young man is going to be a mighty man of God
-
just like my other two Colton and Caden and my
-
little Cora they're all going to be mighty men
-
and women of God and in 37 Ezekiel it begins
-
with the Lord took hold of me and I was carried
-
away in the spirit of the Lord to a valley filled
-
with dry bones Ezekiel here is talking about
-
in the spirit. He was carried away in the spirit.
-
Remember we are a spirit. We live in a body and
-
we have a mind which is our I mean our soul which
-
is our mind will and emotions and so Ezekiel
-
this is in the Old Testament was taken up by
-
the spirit and it says he was taken into a valley
-
of dry bones and it covered the valley floor
-
and they were scattered everywhere across the
-
ground and completely dried out. And then God
-
asked him son of man. Can these bones become
-
living people again was the keel said of sovereign
-
Lord. I replied you alone know the answer. Then
-
he said to me speak a prophetic message to these
-
bones and say dry bones. Listen to the word of
-
the Lord. This is what the sovereign Lord says.
-
Look, I'm going to put breath in you and make
-
you alive again. I will put flesh and muscle
-
on you cover you with skin. I will put breath
-
in you and you will come to life and then you
-
will know I am the Lord. And so I spoke this
-
message just as he told me and suddenly as I
-
spoke there was a rattling noise across all the
-
Valley and the bones of each body came together
-
and attach themselves as complete skeletons.
-
Then as I watched muscles and flesh formed over
-
the bones and the skin formed to cover their
-
bodies, but they still had no breath in them.
-
And then he said to me, speak a prophetic word
-
to the winds son of man, speak a prophetic word
-
and say this is the sovereign Lord says come
-
breathe from the four winds the breath into these
-
dead bones that they may live again. So I spoke
-
the message and as he came, I commanded these
-
dry bones to live again, they all came to life
-
and stood up on their feet as a great army. Then
-
he said son of man these bones represent the
-
people of Israel We have become old and dry all
-
hope is gone our nation is finished Therefore
-
prophesied at them and say this is what the sovereign
-
Lord says Oh my people I will open your graves
-
and cause you to rise again And I will bring
-
you back to the land of Israel and when this
-
happens Oh people you will know that I am the
-
Lord. I will put my spirit in you and you will
-
live again Return to your homeland and you will
-
know that I the Lord have spoken and I have done
-
what I said I have spoken Hallelujah. This is
-
a prophetic word not just in that time period
-
but for us today and you know that because he
-
continues to go on and he talks about How his
-
servant Dave if you drop down to 24 It says my
-
servant David will be their king and they will
-
have only one shepherd And they will obey my
-
commands and be careful with my decrees. They
-
will live in the land that I gave my servant
-
Jacob, the land where their ancestor lives. Back
-
then, you know, David had already lived and died,
-
you know, a couple hundred years before this.
-
So he wasn't talking about King David again.
-
He was talking about it represents Jesus as a
-
prophetic word of Jesus will be our shepherd
-
because he came. He was prophetically saying
-
Jesus was coming. to die and to bring us life
-
that we could live again. Why? Because sin had
-
separated us. Death had came to us through Adam
-
and it filtered down through the bloodline. And
-
so we were doomed because the wages of sin is
-
death. And the Bible says we've all fallen short
-
of the glory of God and have sinned. So we're
-
all doomed to death, hell and the grave if we
-
don't receive this wonderful free gift that Ezekiel
-
was prophesying about hundreds of years before
-
it happened. And so, you know, we know from John
-
10 10, Jesus came so we could have life and life
-
abundantly. So he was speaking prophetically
-
took him prophetically. I mean, God is a spirit.
-
And so wherever the life of God is, that's where
-
supernatural things happen because that's who
-
he is. He is life. I mean, he will mess up a
-
funeral, right? We've seen him do that a few
-
times in the word. And so we're going to see
-
how that happens. Even in the Old Testament,
-
if we go back in first Kings and we're going
-
first King 17. And we're going to go from 17
-
to verse 17. And it says sometime later, a woman's
-
son became sick and he grew worse and worse and
-
finally died. And she said to Elijah, Oh man
-
of God, what have you done to me? Have you come
-
here to point out my sins and kill my son? She
-
was blaming God through the prophet Elijah on
-
the death of her son. She was thinking, you know,
-
God, she was being punished for something. And
-
Elijah took and said, give me your son. And he
-
took the child's body from her arms, carried
-
him up the stairs to the room where he was staying.
-
laid the body on the bed and Elijah cried out
-
to the Lord. Oh Lord, my God, why have you bought?
-
Why has this tragedy been brought on this widow
-
who has opened her home to me and causing her
-
son to die? He stretched out himself over the
-
child's body three times cried out to the Lord.
-
Please let this child's life breathe into him.
-
And the Lord heard Elijah's prayer and the life
-
of the child returned and he revived. Hallelujah.
-
Elijah brought him down from the upper room and
-
gave him to his mother and said, look, your son
-
is alive. The woman told Elijah now, I know for
-
sure. You are a man of God and that God truly
-
speaks through you. You know where the life of
-
God comes where the word of God comes the life
-
life of God comes. where the life of God is the
-
word of God will come and God will confirm that
-
word with signs following and that's what just
-
happened here you know she turned to the man
-
of God and and he spoke the life of God and God
-
heard his prayer and answered him and this was
-
back when the Holy Spirit could not reside in
-
man but had to reside on man and would work through
-
man but was not in man because inside the men
-
were still dead in their spirit but the power
-
of God but when we believe on God so as Elijah
-
and others believed on the Lord you know he was
-
born again but he was not the Holy Spirit could
-
not come and live in there until Jesus died and
-
rose from the grave and send the Holy Spirit
-
so it was a glorious time that this son was born
-
again in the flesh back to this woman. And you
-
know, God still raises the dead in our day and
-
time. But before we go to the New Testament,
-
and I'm talking about physical death as well,
-
spiritual death. Absolutely. That's the most
-
important and the greatest miracle is for us
-
to have spiritual life, life of God that we would
-
one day go to heaven and live with God eternally.
-
That's what God wanted. He loves humanity so
-
much. That's why he sent Jesus to die on that
-
cross, to rise again, that resurrection power
-
to give us life. He was the payment for sin.
-
Hallelujah. We thank God for that. Thank you,
-
Jesus. In second Kings, we're going to chapter
-
13 and verse 21 and 22. You know, when the prophet
-
Elisha Not Elijah. There's there two different
-
people. Elisha died. He was buried and there
-
were groups. This is in verse 20 groups of Moabite
-
Raiders using to use to invade the land each
-
spring. Once when some Israelites were burying
-
a man, they spied and saw these Raiders. So they
-
hastily threw the corpse into the tomb of Elisha
-
and fled. But as soon as the body Touched Elisha's
-
bones the dead man revived and jumped to his
-
feet How about that? Glory to God because the
-
power of God that resided in Elisha's life was
-
still on his bones and so when they just Hastily
-
because they were in fear through that body on
-
the bones of Elisha He lived again He lived to
-
get another example of the power of the Most
-
High God, the resurrection power bringing life,
-
life, life. And that's what the Word says. The
-
Word of God is life to those who find it and
-
health to all our flesh. The version I'm reading
-
in today is a new living translation. So it may
-
sound a little different than what you are, what
-
you may have at home or there with you. But I
-
want to continue on. God always brings life.
-
He is alive. Jesus is alive and well life and
-
death, you know are in the power of our tongue.
-
Why is that? Because when the Holy Spirit lives
-
in you, you can speak the life of God and it
-
will come to pass. That's what the word says.
-
That's what the word says. Romans 10 9 says if
-
we believe in our heart that that God raised
-
Christ from the dead and declare with our mouth
-
that Jesus is Lord, we will be born again. That's
-
a great supernatural act of God. Glory to God.
-
We are so thankful for that action because we
-
can go to heaven. Hallelujah. And we can live
-
victoriously as a champion here on earth. You
-
know, we could do a lot of things in our own
-
strength, but God is is all about you. so he
-
will add his super to your natural in any situation
-
that you call upon him in faith and Step out
-
with that action and it'll change your life.
-
You know if we go to Romans chapter 4 verse 17
-
This is talking about Sarah and Abraham Sarah
-
Sarah and Abraham Were 99 and 100 believing God
-
for a baby and God had promised them when Abraham
-
was 75 years old that she would have a child
-
and That's hard to believe. I mean we all know
-
what happens, you know your body changes and
-
Those reproductive organs aren't necessarily
-
functioning as they should but guess what when
-
God adds his super on our natural Supernatural
-
things happen and that's what happened So the
-
promise this is verse 16 is received by faith
-
and it's given as a free gift and we are all
-
certain to receive it whether or not we live
-
according to the law of Moses if we have faith
-
like Abraham for Abraham is the father of all
-
who believe. That is what the scripture means
-
when he said I have made you the father of many
-
nations. This happened because Abraham believed
-
God who brings back the dead back to life and
-
creates new things out of nothing. That's right.
-
You know, God spoke and the world's became so
-
he makes something out of nothing by the word
-
and believing in his word. It says even there
-
was no reason for hope Abraham kept believing
-
when he would become a father of many nations
-
for God had said to him. That's how many descendants
-
you will have and Abraham's faith did not weaken
-
even though he was a hundred years of age and
-
he figured his body was good as dead and so was
-
Sarah's womb. Abraham never wavered believing
-
God's promise. In fact, faith grew stronger and
-
in this he brought glory to God. He was convinced
-
that God is able to do whatever God promises.
-
And because of Abraham's faith, God counted it
-
unto him for righteousness. And it was recorded
-
for our benefit to assuring us that God was also
-
account to us as righteous. If we believe in
-
him, the one who raised Jesus from the dead,
-
he handed over, he was handed over to die because
-
of our sins, but he was raised to life to make
-
us right again. You know, and in Hebrews 11 11,
-
it says through faith, Sarah received strength
-
to conceive seed and was delivered of a child.
-
when she was past age because she judged him
-
faithful who promised so Abraham had to have
-
faith Sarah had to have faith and together that
-
agreement brought God's promise God cannot stay
-
away he cannot help himself but bless you when
-
you believe him he cannot help himself when you
-
praise him and thank him in advance of that answered
-
prayer believing it's already done he can't help
-
but do it because he loves faith faith works
-
by his love and he loves that his children believe
-
him the way we love when our children believe
-
us and do what we say the same. That's the same
-
with God with us. You know, there were many examples
-
where God brought life. I mean everywhere he
-
healed everywhere. Jesus went and healed someone.
-
He brought life. You know, he says in John 3
-
John 2 beloved. I wish above all things that
-
you would prosper and be in health even as your
-
soul prospers. He said if you abide in me and
-
my words abide in you, you will ask what you
-
want and you it shall be done. If you your his
-
words abide in us and we abide in him. Glory
-
to God. We can ask what we will and it will be
-
done. Are you thinking right now? Do you have
-
a dream that you want done? Are you believe in
-
God for something? Are you believe in God to
-
have a baby? Are you believe in God to set someone
-
free in your family of drugs and alcohol or maybe
-
it's you? Guess what? God has a better life.
-
He has a better plan. He has a better dream,
-
and he is faithful to bring it to pass. That's
-
who our God is. That's who our God is. In Matthew
-
7, 9, he said, What man is there among you, who
-
if his son asked for bread, will he give him
-
a stone or if he asked for fish, will he give
-
him a serpent? If you, meaning us, being evil,
-
know how to give good gifts to our children,
-
how much more will our Heavenly Father Give us
-
good things to those who ask. That's right. That's
-
right. We have to ask in faith, put our action
-
to it, knowing it's already done. Expectation
-
is part of faith. Expectation is part of faith.
-
Glory to God. So let's go on. Let's continue.
-
One of the greatest stories and most popular
-
that we know in the Bible about Jesus bringing
-
something back to life was Lazarus. That was
-
after four days in the grave and God Jesus loved
-
Lazarus. He was a follower of Christ. He loved
-
Jesus. He he his sisters Martha and Mary and
-
he got sick and died and Jesus wasn't there and
-
Jesus told him and in John 11 verse 4 when he
-
heard that Jesus that Lazarus had died. He said
-
Lazarus sickness is not end and death. It happened
-
for the glory of God that the son of God would
-
receive glory from this. There was a purpose
-
why he died in that moment when Jesus wasn't
-
away. And Jesus loved Mary and Martha and Lazarus.
-
It says he stayed with them for the next two
-
days. And finally, he said, let's go back to
-
Judea. But his disciples ejected and said, Rabbi,
-
only a few days ago, the people in Judea were
-
trying to stone you. Are you going there again?
-
They began to get in fear and question Jesus.
-
And he said there are 12 hours a day every day
-
during the day people can walk safely and they
-
can see because they have the light of this world,
-
which is Jesus. But at night is the danger of
-
stumbling because they have no light. And he
-
said our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but
-
I'm going there to wake him up. And then the
-
disciples said, Lord, if he's sleeping, he'll
-
soon get better. They thought he meant Lazarus
-
was simply sleeping, but Jesus meant he died.
-
So they told him pain plainly Lazarus is dead
-
and for your sake. I'm glad he I'm sorry This
-
is Jesus talking to them plainly Lazarus is dead
-
and for your sake. I'm glad I wasn't there for
-
now You will really believe come and let's go
-
see and then if you drop down in verse 25 It's
-
one of the most powerful scriptures in the Word
-
of God Jesus told Martha When he was going there
-
Martha met him and Jesus said these words. I
-
am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who
-
believes in me will live even after dying. Everyone
-
who lives in me and believes in me will never
-
die. Do you believe this Martha? And that's what
-
he's saying to you and me today. Do we believe
-
wholeheartedly in the resurrection power of Christ?
-
Glory to God. We should he brings life to everything
-
in our life If we let him if we believe him and
-
trust him and give it to him You know, whatever's
-
whatever's concerns you have in your heart Whatever
-
worry you have cast your care on him because
-
he cares for you Give it to him. He'll take care
-
of it. He'll do it. Trust him trust him You know
-
and then if you continue the story is quite long
-
and for time's sake we are going to move forward
-
and you know he tells he goes to the tomb and
-
he says roll the stone away and he says Lazarus
-
come forth and Lazarus comes out of the grave
-
still wrapped in those grave clothings and Jesus
-
tells them later in the verse unwrap him and
-
let him go verse 44 glory to God and of course
-
that was told everywhere And again, the power
-
of God brought life to a dead thing. Is your
-
heart dead today? Is your physical being trying
-
to die on you? It doesn't have to. At the name
-
of Jesus, that name brings life and health to
-
all our flesh. And his name through faith in
-
his name has made the man strong. That's what
-
we know. That's what we know. Let us hold fast
-
to the profession of our faith without wavering
-
for he who is faithful it he who has promised
-
is faithful. That's in Hebrews 1023. He's faithful
-
if he promised it. We having the same spirit
-
of faith according to it is written. I believe
-
therefore I've spoken. We also believe therefore
-
we speak. Second Corinthians 413 what we believe
-
we need to be speaking. Don't curse yourself
-
with words of negativity and words of death and
-
destruction. Speak life. Speak your dreams. Get
-
them out there. Don't worry about whether others
-
believe it or not. If God be for you, who can
-
be against you? That's what the Word of God says.
-
That's the power of God. The most famous resurrection
-
power that we've seen in the Word of God, of
-
course, is Jesus Christ himself. You know, when
-
Jesus was raised from the dead. It was the greatest
-
thing that's ever happened in the history of
-
humanity, and it will always reign true. You
-
know, Jesus, he was crucified on a cross for
-
you and for me. But after three days in the grave,
-
dead and buried in the tomb, he rose from the
-
grave. Why? Because death could not hold him.
-
Why couldn't death hold him? Because he was a
-
sinless lamb and he came for you and for me He
-
loves you that much that he laid down his life
-
for you and me. They didn't take his life He
-
laid it down. He gave up the spirit. He gave
-
it up for you and for me He paid the price so
-
that price has been paid. That's why it's good
-
news of the gospel I know a name and that name
-
brings life not death and it will cause dead
-
things to rise in your life and in mine. When
-
we stand and speak the word, get in the word
-
of God, you'll love it. It'll bring life and
-
health and joy overflowing. The joy of the Lord
-
is your strength. He is the Alpha and Omega.
-
He said ask and it'll be given. Seek and you'll
-
find knock and the door will be opened. Everyone
-
that asks receives everyone that seeks find and
-
knock and the door will be open. We're going
-
to listen. to a song and I just want you to rejoice
-
in the power of the one who raises the dead that
-
life comes in Jesus name. I'll be right back
-
at you in just a moment. In desperation, I'll
-
seek heaven And pray this for you I pray for
-
your healing That circumstances would change
-
I pray that the fear inside would flee Hallelujah,
-
hallelujah, hallelujah. What an awesome, awesome
-
song about the power of our risen Savior. You
-
know, 2nd Corinthians 1 20 says for all the promises
-
of God are yes and in him are amen unto the glory
-
of God by us. That's right. That's right. We
-
give him glory because all those promises are
-
yes and amen. And he has a promise for you today.
-
If you've not met this Jesus, if you've walked
-
away from him and blamed him for something he
-
didn't do, or you don't understand something
-
that happened in life and just said, forget it
-
all. Guess what? He loves you today. He wants
-
to help you and wants you to return to him. If
-
you feel that way, maybe you've got hurt in your
-
heart that you need healed. Maybe your mind is
-
just tormented today. We're going to believe
-
God right now when I pray. that the power of
-
God is going to touch you and you're going to
-
be changed in a moment's time. And it's not because
-
of me, it's because of him and his word. He's
-
truth and he's the way and he's the life. So
-
if you want to pray this prayer with me, say,
-
Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus,
-
the name above every name. And I ask you to forgive
-
me and cleanse me of all unrighteousness. I renounce
-
the things of the world. I give you my life I
-
give you my heart I give you my mind I receive
-
you as Savior and I declare you died and you
-
rose again and you are my Savior in Jesus name
-
thank you amen if you prayed that prayer today
-
you've just received Jesus Christ as your Lord
-
and Savior glory to God hallelujah Go out and
-
tell someone. Find a good church that preaches
-
the whole Word of God. Get in your Bible. Read
-
the Word. Let it bring life to you and health
-
to all your flesh. We want you to know that you
-
are a champion when you become born again. That's
-
what you just became. And all the power of God's
-
available to you. So reach out to him. Please
-
go out and make it a great day. Know that God
-
loves you. We love you and you are a champion
-
in Christ.
