Episode 16 - Richard and Rosemary Lewis

Hello, Oak Ridge family and friends. This is

David here with the Lewis family today, and we're

going to share some scripture. But before we

do that, I wanted to let them share a little

bit about what points them to Christ during this

holiday season. I'm just happy I'm going to be

able to have some of my kids come through and

visit us. So that's what I'm looking forward

to towards the end of December. My daughter should

be here, and my son will be here. So I'm very

happy about that. I can't wait to see all of

us together. Yeah, for me, it's kind of along

the same line. I love having grandbabies here.

Everyone talks about how they skip children and

go straight to grandbabies, and that's true for

me. Well, not that I'm skipping, but I really,

really enjoy themself. Just sharing the Lord

with them and seeing them begin to realize who

he is. That is, I think, the best thing in the

world. I love it. So pass my soul for you, O

God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living

God. When shall I come and appear before you,

God? My tears have been my food day and night,

while they continually say to me, Where is your

God? When I remember these things, I pour out

my soul within me. For I used to go with the

multitude. I went with them to the house of the

God, where the voice of the joy and praise, with

the multitude that can't be compared with which

speaks. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And

why are you disquieted within me? Open, God,

for I should yet praise him for the hope of his

continence. Oh, my God, my soul is cast down

within me. Therefore, I will remember you from

the land of Jordan, and from the heights of Hermon,

and from the hill Nezari. Deep calls above deep

echo the noise of your waterfalls. All your waves

and billows have gone over me. The Lord will

command his loving kindness in the daytime, and

in the night his soul shall be with me. A prayer

to the God of my life. I will say to God my rock,

why have you forgotten me? Why do I go mourning

before because of the opposition of the enemy?

As with the breaking of my bones, my enemies

reproach me. While they say to me all day long,

where is your God? Why are you so cast down on

my soul? And why are you disquieted within me,

hoping God? for I shall yet praise Him, the help

of my confidence in my God. Yet more and more

people believed and were brought to the Lord.

Crowds of both men and women, as a result of

their false report, sick people were brought

out into the streets and on beds and masks, so

that Peter's shadow might fall across some of

them as he went by. Crowds came from the villages

around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those

possessed by evil spirits, and they were all

healed.
