  1. Hello, this is David here with the Moore family,

  2. and they're going to read a couple of scriptures

  3. to you here in a few minutes. But before that,

  4. I want them to share their element that points

  5. them to Christ. Hi, I'm Leland. And I'm Jaylee.

  6. And one memory that makes Christmas really special

  7. for us in particular is the fact that we got

  8. engaged on Christmas nine years ago. Yes, we

  9. got engaged in Montana. We were there for vacation

  10. with my family and it was a lot of fun. It was

  11. on the side of a mountain in the snow and I had

  12. no idea. So it was a big surprise. Leland had

  13. carried the ring with him for a really long time

  14. and I still did not know. Hi, I'm Case and my

  15. favorite thing to do on Christmas is go to the

  16. park and walk through the lights. And now we're

  17. going to share a few scripture readings with

  18. you guys. I'm gonna be reading Zechariah 8, 1

  19. through 17, the New American Standard Version.

  20. Thus says the Lord of hosts old men and old women

  21. will again sit in the streets of Jerusalem each

  22. man with his staff in his hand because of age

  23. and The streets of the city will be filled with

  24. boys and girls playing in its streets Thus says

  25. the Lord of hosts if it is too difficult in the

  26. sight of the remnant of this people in those

  27. days Will it also be too difficult in my sight

  28. declares the Lord of hosts thus says the Lord

  29. of hosts behold I am going to save my people

  30. from the land of the east and from the land of

  31. the west and I will bring them back and they

  32. will live in the midst of Jerusalem and they

  33. shall be my people and I will be their God in

  34. truth and righteousness. Thus says the Lord of

  35. hosts let your hands be strong you who are listening

  36. in these days to these words from the mouth of

  37. the prophets those who speak in the day that

  38. the foundation of the house of the Lord of hosts

  39. was laid to the end that the temple might be

  40. built for before those days there was no wage

  41. for man or any wage for animal and for him who

  42. went out or came in there was no peace because

  43. of his enemies and i said all men one against

  44. another but now i will not treat the remnant

  45. of this people as in the former days declares

  46. the lord of hosts for there will be peace for

  47. the seed The vine will yield its fruit, the land

  48. will yield its produce, and the heavens will

  49. give their due. And I will cause the remnant

  50. of this people to inherit all of these things.

  51. It will come about that just as you were a curse

  52. among the nations, O house of Judah and house

  53. of Israel, so I will save you that you may become

  54. a blessing. Do not fear, let your hands be strong.

  55. For thus says the Lord of hosts. Just as I have

  56. purposed to do harm to you when your fathers

  57. provoked me to wrath says Lord of hosts and I

  58. have not relented So I have again purposed in

  59. these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the

  60. house of Judah Do not fear These are the things

  61. which you should do speak truth to one another

  62. Judge with truth and judgment for peace in your

  63. gates Also, let none of you eyes evil in your

  64. heart against another and do not love perjury

  65. For all these are what I hate, declares the Lord.

  66. Matthew 8, 14 through 17. When Jesus came into

  67. Peter's house, he saw Peter's mother -in -law

  68. laying in bed with a fever. He touched her hand,

  69. and the fever left her. And she got up and began

  70. to wait on him. Evening came many who were demon

  71. possessed were brought to him and he drove out

  72. the spirit with a word and healed all the sick

  73. which this was to fulfill what was spoken through

  74. the prophet Isaiah. He took up our infirmities

  75. and bore our diseases. I'm reading Matthew 8,

  76. 28 through 34. Some distance from them, a large

  77. herd of pigs was feeding. The demons begged Jesus,

  78. if you drive us out, send us to the herd of pigs.

  79. He said to them, go. So they came out and went

  80. into the pigs. And the whole herd rushed down

  81. the steep bank into the lake and died in the

  82. water. Those tending the pigs ran off, went into

  83. town and reported all of this, including what

  84. had happened to the demon possessed men. Then

  85. the whole town went out to meet Jesus. and when

  86. they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave

  87. their region.
