  1. Hello, Oak Ridge family and friends. This is

  2. David here with the youth group and we're about

  3. to read the fourth Sunday of Advent readings.

  4. But before we do that, I'd like some of our youth

  5. group members to share some things that they're

  6. looking forward to for Christmas. I'm Parker

  7. Hughes, a tradition in my family. Something I

  8. look forward to is opening the early present

  9. on Christmas Eve. something we do every year

  10. on Christmas Eve and I look forward to. My name

  11. is Jeremy Oviedo. A tradition is that I give

  12. candy cans out at school. I wear a little ugly

  13. sweater and I have little pockets. A little big

  14. present on my sweater and I put candy cans in

  15. there. I pass out candy cans at school, so yeah.

  16. Oh, and it's pretty funny they fight for it sometimes,

  17. so yeah. Hi, my name is Zach Harris, and one

  18. thing I look forward to during Christmastime

  19. is all the songs, especially Merry Did You Know.

  20. Hi, I'm Rhiannon, and one of the things I look

  21. forward to every Christmas is seeing my cousins,

  22. because they live really far away. Hi, I'm Alyssa

  23. Harris, and a tradition that our family has done

  24. recently is a Saran Rap Ball game, where you

  25. have a Saran... wrapped ball filled with presents,

  26. and you're trying to unwrap it as fast as possible

  27. before the person next to you rolls the dice

  28. and gets double and steals it from you. And it's

  29. really fun and competitive, and I look forward

  30. to it every year. Hi, I'm Yana. One of my favorite

  31. Christmas carols is Carol of the Bells. All right,

  32. and I'm David again, and I really look forward

  33. to hearing Oh Come, Oh Come, Emmanuel each year.

  34. There's something about those minor chords. This

  35. is Isaiah 7 verses 10 through 16. Look the young

    Isaiah 7:10–16

  36. woman is with child and shall bear a son and

  37. shall name him Immanuel You shall eat curds of

  38. honey before the child knows how to refuse the

  39. evil and choose the good The land before two

  40. kings you are in dread will be deserted Psalm

  41. 81 through 7 17 through 19 give here a shepherd

  42. of Israel You who lead Joseph like a flock, you

  43. who are enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.

  44. Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir

  45. up your might and come to save us. Restore us,

  46. O God, let your face shine that we may be saved.

  47. O Lord, God of hosts, how long will you be angry

  48. with your people's prayers? You have fed them

  49. with the bread of tears and given them tears

  50. to drink in full measure. You make us the scorn

  51. of our neighbors. our enemies laugh amongst themselves

  52. restore us oh god of host let your face shine

  53. that we may be saved but let your hands be upon

  54. the one at your right hand the one who has made

  55. strong for yourself then we will never turn back

  56. you give us life and we will call on your name

  57. restore us oh lord god of host let your face

  58. shine that we may be saved This is Romans 1,

  59. 1 through 7. obedience of faith among all the

  60. Gentiles for the sake of His name, including

  61. you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ,

  62. to all God's beloved in Rome, who are called

  63. to be saints. Grace to you and peace from God

  64. our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew

  65. 1, 18 -25. Now the birth of Jesus the Messiah

  66. took place in this way. When his mother Mary

  67. had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived

  68. together, she was found to be pregnant from the

  69. Holy Spirit. Her husband Joseph, being a righteous

  70. man and unwilling to expose her to public disgrace,

  71. planned to divorce her quietly. But just when

  72. he had resolved to do this, an angel of the Lord

  73. appeared to him in a dream and said, Joseph,

  74. son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as

  75. your wife, for the child conceived in her is

  76. from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and

  77. you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his

  78. people from their sins. All this took place to

  79. fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through

  80. the prophet. Look, the virgin shall become pregnant

  81. and give birth to a son, and they shall name

  82. him Immanuel, which means God is with us. When

  83. Joseph awoke from sleep, he did as the angel

  84. of the Lord commanded him. He took her as his

  85. wife but had no marital relations with her until

  86. she had given birth to a son and he named him

  87. Jesus.
