Episode 26 - Oak Ridge Staff

Hello, this is David here with the staff and

today We're out on a field trip There are city

sidewalks busy sidewalks dressed in holiday style

in the air There's a feeling of Christmas children

laughing people passing meeting smile after smile

and on every street corner you'll hear Ring -a

-ling. Ring -a -ling. Hear them ring. Hear them

ring. It's Christmas Day. We have a special message

for you today. Merry Christmas from Ron and Brenda.

Merry Christmas from the JB crew. Merry Christmas

from Tim and Darla. Merry Christmas from the

Moors. And Merry Christmas from the Rawlins family.

I'll be reading Isaiah 62. verses 6 through 12.

God comes to restore the people. The Lord is

sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm.

I will not again give your grain to be food for

your enemies, and your foreigners shall not drink

the wine for which you have labored. But those

who harvest it shall eat it and praise the Lord,

and those who gather it shall drink it in my

holy courts. Go through. Go through the gates.

Prepare the way for the people. Build up the

highway. Clear it of stones. Lift up an end sign

over the people. the Lord has proclaimed to the

end of the earth say to daughter Zion look your

savior comes his reward is with them and his

recompense before him they shall be called the

holy people the redeemed of the Lord and you

shall be called sought out a city not forsaken

hi I'm Jaylee and I'm going to read Psalms 97

The Lord reigns. Let the earth be glad. Let the

distant shores rejoice. Clouds and thick darkness

surround him. Righteousness and justice are the

foundation of his throne. Fire goes before him

and consumes his foes on every side. His lightning

lights up the world. The earth sees and trembles.

The mountains melt like wax before the Lord.

Before the Lord of all the earth, the heavens

proclaim his righteousness, and all his people

see his glory. All who worship images are put

to shame. Those who boast in idols worship Him,

all you gods. Zion hears and rejoices, and the

villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments,

Lord. For you, Lord, are the most high over all

the earth. You are exalted far above all the

gods. Let those who love the Lord hate evil,

for He guards the lives of His faithful ones

and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Light shines on the righteous. and the joy on

the upright in heart. Rejoice in the Lord, you

who are righteous, and praise his holy name.

This is Chelsea and I will be reading Titus 3

Titus 3:4–7

verses 4 through 7. God our Savior showed us

how good and kind he is. He saved us because

of his mercy and not because of any good things

we have done. God washed us by the power of the

Holy Spirit. He gave us new birth and a fresh

beginning. God sent Jesus Christ, our Savior,

to give us His Spirit. Jesus treated us much

better than we deserve. He made us acceptable

to God and gave us the hope of eternal life.

This is Ron. I'll be reading Luke chapter 2 verses

Luke 2:1–7

1 through 7. In those days, Caesar Augustus issued

a decree that a census should be taken of the

entire Roman world. This was the first census

that took place while Corinthians was governor

of Syria. And everyone went to their own town

to register. So Joseph also went up from the

town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem,

the town of David, because he belonged to the

house in line with David. He went there to register

with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him

and was expecting a child. While they were there,

the time came for the baby to be born. and she

gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped

him in cloths and placed him in a manger because

there was no guest room available for them. This

is Darla. I will be reading Luke chapter two,

verses eight through 20. Now there were shepherds

nearby living out in the field, keeping guard

over their flock at night. An angel of the Lord

appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone

around them. and they were absolutely terrified.

But the angel said to them, do not be afraid,

listen carefully, for I proclaim to you good

news that brings great joy to all the people.

Today, your savior is born in the city of David.

He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for

you. You will find a baby wrapped in strips of

cloth and lying in a manger. Suddenly there was

a vast heavenly army appeared with the angel.

praising God and saying, glory to God in the

highest and on earth peace among people with

whom he is pleased. When the angels left them

and went back to heaven, the shepherds said to

one another, let's go over to Bethlehem and see

this thing that has taken place that the Lord

has made known to us. So they hurried off and

located Mary and Joseph and found the baby lying

in a manger. When they saw him, they related

what they had been told about this child. and

all who heard it were astonished at what the

shepherd said. But Mary treasured up all these

words, pondering in her heart what they might

mean. So the shepherds returned, glorifying and

praising God for all they had heard and seen.

Everything was just as they had been told.
