  1. That's God that he'll just.

  2. Do.

  3. You want to say, I'm thankful for the opportunity to

  4. stand behind my pastor's pull kit. And so it's a

  5. it's a real thing. And if you've never done it before,

  6. you're not a preacher, you won't know quite of what

  7. the experience is or what it's like for the just

  8. the burden you carry behind it. And I want to say,

  9. I'm thankful for the youth pastor we have, Brother Nathaniel,

  10. the opportunity he's given us tonight. And I do want

  11. to say, I love your Lord and I thank him

  12. most of all for what he has done and this

  13. service thus far.

  14. And Brother Nathaniel, brother Jesse, they had a hold of it.

  15. If they would have went on with it, and all

  16. might could have got out from here and meet tonight.

  17. But the Lord, I feel like he has given me something.

  18. I've prayed about it and I've sawt the Lord about it.

  19. And this is the only thing really that just over

  20. and over again that he just laid on my heart

  21. and stayed on my heart. And we'll be turning to

  22. Acts chapter nine. If you have your Bibles, we'll be

  23. reading several several verses the night we'll be jumping within

  24. these two chapters, from the seventh chapter to the ninth chapter.

  25. You got your bibles, if you would please stand for

  26. the reading of the world. We'll start in Acts chapter nine,

  27. Verse one.

  28. It says, and Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter

  29. against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the High

  30. Priest and desired of him letters to Damascus, to the synagogue,

  31. that if he found any of this way, whether they

  32. were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

  33. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus, and suddenly

  34. there's shine round about him, alive from heaven. And he

  35. fell to the earth and heard a voice saying unto him,

  36. Saul saw, why persecutest thou me?

  37. And he said, who art out our Lord?

  38. And the Lord said, I am Jesus, whom thou persecutest.

  39. It is hard for THEE to kick against the Prince.

  40. And he, trembling and astonished, said Lord, what wilt thou

  41. have me to do?

  42. And the Lord said unto him, arise and go into

  43. the city, and it shall be told THEE what thou

  44. must do. And the men of which journeyed with him

  45. stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And

  46. Saul arose from the earth. And when his eyes were open,

  47. he saw no man. But when they led him by

  48. the hand and brought him to Damascus, he was there

  49. three days without sight.

  50. Neither did eat nor drink.

  51. You'll lift your hands, Gods, God, Yeah, God, the Lord

  52. will help me just for a little bit. I don't

  53. think I'll be too.

  54. Long to night.

  55. I would like to preach on an experience that will

  56. make the difference. In the main portion of scripture we

  57. read about the conversion of Saul to us today is

  58. known as the Apostle Paul. And I hope and pray

  59. that there's someone who will truly grasp in their heart

  60. no matter. If you would tonight, before I get into

  61. my foundation, if you would, if you get the concept

  62. of what Paul's background was compared to what we know

  63. him as now.

  64. A lot of times we hear them talked about us.

  65. He wrote so many of the New Testament books of

  66. the Bible. We hear on talked about the Apostle Paul.

  67. But he didn't start out that way. For if you

  68. look into the history of that and at the laya foundation,

  69. if you think about it. It's a prior to his conversion,

  70. Saul was a very wicked man with a heart full

  71. of hate towards the New Testament churches, along with the

  72. saints that were held within his.

  73. Mindset and bods, were to cause.

  74. Thesetricians believers to face persecution.

  75. And I'm going to go back at couple chapters to

  76. the to the.

  77. Seventh seventh chapter of Acts, and I hope this will open.

  78. The eyes to anybody in here that might not be

  79. too familiar with this.

  80. That'll if it'll open your eyes on how how fool.

  81. Of a man you would if you would he really was.

  82. If you back up to the seventh chapter, starting in

  83. the fifty fourth verse, this is talking about the stoning

  84. of Stephen.

  85. Right here it says when.

  86. They heard these things, they were cut to the heart,

  87. and they mashed on him with their teeth. But he,

  88. being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stepfastly into.

  89. Heaven all the glory of God.

  90. And Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, behold,

  91. I see the heavens open, and the Son of Man

  92. standing on the right hand of God.

  93. Then they tried out with the loud voice and stopped.

  94. Their ears and ran upon him with one accord and

  95. cast him out of the city.

  96. And stone him.

  97. With the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young

  98. man's feet, and whose name was Saul. And we see

  99. in the fifty verse fifty eighth first right there we

  100. know Saul was present, because if you will.

  101. He was the young man.

  102. But he was one that would had part of that stone,

  103. and even what he was just a wicked man and

  104. evil man. And it goes on to say, and they

  105. stone Stephen, calling upon God and saying, Lord Jesus received

  106. my spirit.

  107. And he kneeled down and pried with the.

  108. Loud voice, Lord, laying on this sin to their charge.

  109. When he said this, he fell asleep.

  110. This was the top of stuff you would find Saul into,

  111. no matter if you went back in his back in

  112. his day, probably grown up in his youth. I don't

  113. know who was was, but he was probably one of

  114. those boys if you would always into something, wouldn't to

  115. persecute somebody. Let you see, if you want a brother

  116. or a sister trying to live right for God, he

  117. was one that was always wanting to persecute him, probably

  118. making those slaight comments, hey, that there's them over there

  119. walking them. But we're going to get into the conversion

  120. of Saul. If you look right here at u before

  121. we go on back to our text, if you look

  122. in the eighth chapter right here, verse one and two says,

  123. and Saul.

  124. Was conceding him to his death.

  125. And at that time there was a great persecution against

  126. the church, which was that Jerusalem, and they were all

  127. scattered abroad throughout the regions of jude in Samaria, except

  128. the apostles and devout being carried Stephen to his burial

  129. and made great limitation over him. There we found that

  130. if Steven Soland already went to heaven, his spirits done

  131. to send it up into heaven, and these men are

  132. taking them to his burial plot if you would, however far.

  133. It was away, it don't say, but they were about

  134. to lay his body down or in the if wherever

  135. it was in the sentence or the or in the ground.

  136. But uh, it says in the third verse, backing up

  137. a little bit before I go on to that, I

  138. want to take my time here and share the burden

  139. that got leg on my heart.

  140. I believe Saul was.

  141. If you would whenever they're carrying Steven's body out to

  142. where he was about to be laid down.

  143. Stephen, if you would the man of God that he was, he's.

  144. Done going on.

  145. But you got Paul over there. He's the one that's

  146. over there.

  147. Mocking and saying, you know what, there's another one down

  148. right there, there's another one to be did he know

  149. in his heart he's done went to heaven. But to

  150. him it's just the Hey, he's done dead. That's another

  151. one that I ain't gonna worry about.

  152. Person cuton. I'm gonna go on and find somebody else.

  153. And it says here in the third verse of the

  154. eighth chapter as for Saul, he made a havoc.

  155. Of the church entering in into every house, hay, when

  156. men and women committed them to prison. And if you

  157. was right there, the definition of habit is to caused

  158. great damage, to call the infliction or punishment. That's what

  159. pauls Von said was for probably many years.

  160. If I can just get these people in the state.

  161. Where they get in our mind that there's no there's

  162. no reason listening for God. If I could as persecute

  163. them more than more each day to day by day,

  164. I could finally get and I could finally get.

  165. If you want to tug on their line, Hey, we listen.

  166. Truly this was sauce Go, that he could just destroy

  167. what God trying to bring together and to send here holy.

  168. Saint of God through a prison self for live and right.

  169. We're looking back at the.

  170. Ninth chapter, where a main portion of scripture is fair.

  171. We find that saw As went to the high priest

  172. and has desire of him.

  173. Letters to Damascus to the sin of.

  174. Goou, that if he found any of this way, whether

  175. they were men or women, he might bring them bound

  176. into Jerusalem. We see in the third verse right here.

  177. I believe this is the beginning of the conversion of Saul,

  178. right here where God up here to him and said

  179. that he journeyed, And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus,

  180. and suddenly they're shined shone round about him a lot

  181. from heaven. God, there was God up here in assault

  182. out there, And I believe that was God.

  183. If you would have given him make now was his

  184. last chance he would ever get.

  185. If he wouldn't, if he wouldn't have changed, or maybe

  186. God would have given him many many other times God

  187. changed his life. But thankfully we know as this conversion

  188. as it was one that he did take heed.

  189. And God stalked him in his.

  190. Tracks right here, he said, And he fell to the

  191. earth and heard a voice sing unto him, Saul, Saul,

  192. why persecutest thou me? And he said, who art thou Lord?

  193. And the Lord said, I am Jesus, who now persecutest.

  194. It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks,

  195. and it's sad to see. But if you would, there's

  196. churches all across the America. When you walk in there,

  197. half the congregation is sauls when God's trying to convert

  198. him into Paul, if he would, God's trying to make

  199. a difference.

  200. In their line.

  201. God's trying, if you will, to make them somebody be used,

  202. telling you.

  203. Into somebody that could be changed. But if you would,

  204. if you gotta be willing to you gotta be willing

  205. to be changed.

  206. You gotta be willing to make it be different than yourself.

  207. There's a genuine experience.

  208. That's what Saul found on that Damascus road that day,

  209. a genuine experience that if you would have turned up

  210. one and eighty degrees round, it changed him completely from

  211. the path he was going he would go on the

  212. devil's business that day doing a deed, forsaking if you would.

  213. But there was a but there was somebody I'm in

  214. heaven thing Jesus that was gonna give him one more chance. Saul,

  215. if you'll.

  216. Turn around, I'll make you somebody I could use one day,

  217. somebody that, Hey, you.

  218. Might not be persecuting Christian bo What are you facing

  219. the nine? What are you going through? What of those

  220. hanits you can't get rid of? Hey, there's something I'm

  221. feeling brod in here nine. I feel like there's somebody

  222. in here to night. You got it up long enough. Hey, you,

  223. like I said, you might not be if you want,

  224. persecuting strut believer luck Saula. But what is going on

  225. in your life? What's stopping you from getting a real

  226. experience that God can make a difference in you? If

  227. he let God make a difference in you, you can

  228. make a difference in somebody. Ain't Saul is gone make

  229. a difference, And he made a difference in how many

  230. other people throughout.

  231. The laws Peter God, Like I said, there's two different

  232. kinds of experience.

  233. There's a genuine experience. There's also a counterfeit experience him somebody.

  234. I believe that the Lord, he just kept going, bringing

  235. his name over in my mind, and we all know him.

  236. Judas is scary. And if there's ever been a man

  237. in the Bible that had a counterfeit experience, it was Judas.

  238. He was one, if you would, that walked with God

  239. on a daily basis.

  240. He was one of the twelve.

  241. But there was something inside he didn't have a real experience.

  242. If you would, he knew when to say a man

  243. whenever Jesus or Peater was out there preaching, he.

  244. Knew when too. He knew when to get in with them,

  245. if you would.

  246. He probably laid in his hand right beside some of

  247. them at no time when they went to sleep.

  248. He went with journeys after what out on the mission field.

  249. If there was something inside that he didn't really have

  250. a real difference in his life.

  251. There was something inside it if you would, that wasn't change.

  252. There was something inside that he would rather have the

  253. love Pa. There was something inside that. Hey, if you

  254. would saw that at one point in time, he would

  255. rather be out there doing the things in this world.

  256. Jess had money out of his mind and more than.

  257. Life than money or things of this world. Hey, when

  258. they were money's passed away there, so gonna be at hey.

  259. Ay for the Lord? Had you.

  260. Praised pe to God in the sixth verse right here

  261. in the ninth chapter, it says, and he trembling in a.

  262. Stern, and said, Lord, what what they.

  263. Would have me to do?

  264. And the Lord said under him, arise.

  265. And go into the city, and you shall be told

  266. you what doubt must do after this conversion, issuing the

  267. process of this conversion. But Sawstum faced the fact, Hey,

  268. I'm gonna switch partners right here, and I'm gonna run

  269. with Jesus.

  270. And he asked, what will that have me to do?

  271. Once you make up in your mind that I'm gonna

  272. be changed, I'm not gonna be.

  273. The same person. There'll be something inside of you if

  274. you would that that, Lord, what will that have me

  275. to do? God can use you once you're changed. God

  276. can use you once you become a different person.

  277. There was one point in time in my life.

  278. I couldn't be used by God because I wasn't the

  279. man in myself that I needed to be. I think

  280. the Lord that February nine up there, February the fifth

  281. that's what if you would.

  282. I got the real experience in my heart. Yes, I

  283. got saints prior, I got sanctified. I believe in that

  284. same revival. But there was something. There's nothing like the

  285. Holy goes. That's God's look. Man in this tenth tenth

  286. verse right here.

  287. Said and there was a certain disciple what Damascus themed Annius.

  288. And to him said the Lord in a vision Annius.

  289. And he said, behold, I am here, Lord. And the

  290. Lord said, up too, him arising, going to the street

  291. which is called straight.

  292. And inquiring the house of Judas for one cast.

  293. Saul of Tarsus. For behold he breath, and he seek.

  294. He had seen in a vision a man named and

  295. anis coming in and putting his hand on him, that

  296. he might receive his sop ben An and Ice answered, Lord,

  297. I have heard by many of this man how much

  298. evil he had done to thy saints at Jerusalem. And

  299. hereby he hath authority from the Chief priest to bind

  300. all that on, to buy all that call on thy

  301. name Ananius. This is still Psalm the Anonius. This is

  302. still a man that's persecuted, that's persecuted the Church.

  303. Because Saul had a name, if you would engraved in

  304. the souls and the hearts of those people.

  305. And a nis was a disciple, if you would somebody

  306. that was play called, and no doubt chosen by God.

  307. So he knew those time whenever they were rallying through

  308. what he could probably dis earned the evil spirit off salt.

  309. But this is what the Lord, this is what Jesus

  310. had to say the fifteenth first he said, But the

  311. Lord saith unto.

  312. Him, this is red letters.

  313. Right here, go thy way, for he is a chosen vessel,

  314. unto me to bear my name before the gentiles.

  315. And kings and the children of Israel. Hey, if you're

  316. a chosen vessel, if you're willing to be different, if

  317. you're willing to get a real experience, God could use you.

  318. If you're willing to go had to become somebody, Oh

  319. and the devil's partner.

  320. If you're willing to become somebody that's fit for the

  321. king's business and the devil's business.

  322. If you're willing, had to give up the things that have.

  323. Got you bound, had the Lord the seventeenth verses says,

  324. and then and Ice went his way and entered into

  325. the house, and putting all his hands on him and said,

  326. brother Saul, the Lord even Jesus that appeared unto thee

  327. in thy way, as thou camest hath sent me that

  328. thou bidis received thy s.

  329. This is what it said after that verse, and be

  330. filled with the Holy Ghost. So I had experience.

  331. If you want a new conversion on the Damascus row,

  332. if you want salvation in his hard But in the

  333. same chapter it wasn't. Many verses later he experienced the

  334. baptism of the Holy Ghost. It don't take long when

  335. you get serious. Brother Samon's got that testimony. I can

  336. say it myself. Once I got serious, it didn't take.

  337. Long, and the Lord filled me with the Holy Ghost.

  338. Hey, those good life, the baptism of the Holy Ghost,

  339. I think the Lord denied.

  340. Hey, no, we don't have to be silent. If you will,

  341. it can become, Paul, somebody that you can use, somebody

  342. that if you would, If you're willing to be used,

  343. you can't be used.

  344. But we must have a willingness, we must have a desire,

  345. if you would for a for a change in our lives.

  346. Let's beat a god.

  347. Than Jesus, think the Lord. He says in the eighteenth person.

  348. Immediately there fell from his eyes, and it had being scaled,

  349. and he received a sight for with and arose and

  350. went and was baptized. And when he had received meat,

  351. he was strengthen. Then was Saul certain days with the

  352. disciples which were in Damascus.

  353. He found, if you would, the brethren, that he was

  354. meant to be with the whole entire time.

  355. He went out on the devil's business to persecute people,

  356. but he wind up finding a lot of the believers somebody,

  357. if you would, that he could go out and minister

  358. to somebody, that he could go out and win souls

  359. with instead of persecuting souls.

  360. Raised me to God.

  361. And he said in the twentieth first and straightway he

  362. preached Christ in the synagogues that he is a.

  363. Son of God, that he is the son of God.

  364. So he had the Damascus road experience with the conversion

  365. in the in this first part of the chapter, and

  366. he also in the I believe it is the in

  367. the the fifteenth first where he got filled with the

  368. Holy Ghost. And down here in the twentieth first he

  369. went to preaching for God. If he had he went

  370. from persecuting the Christians to preaching to the chore preaching

  371. to people. If you would, that'll that maybe in the

  372. same shape as him preaching the people that up that.

  373. If you would that went out there in the world, maybe.

  374. There's sup here tonight. If you would have I prayed

  375. that you just get a hold of this and take

  376. it home in your prayer cling we see time after time.

  377. If you would people don't want to come to the

  378. altars and pray, he Prid's no excuse if you wouldn't

  379. the thing I tell you, that's no excuse, all right,

  380. dear man.

  381. If I'm pride tony them burning hell for an eternity,

  382. there's nothing like a hell. That's why I be pleasing

  383. for eternity. There's nothing like the tournament the nation of teeth.

  384. But we've gotten some people's lives here, and to not

  385. Lord in my gift?

  386. Can I use for you?

  387. Am I fit to be used for your kingdom? Can

  388. you use me?

  389. God?

  390. And I have to say about it. If you've come

  391. up here and pray, you would find now God does

  392. have the use for you. God does there the belonging

  393. in His kingdom for you. Pray over.

  394. In Songs chapter fifty one, he says to the tenth Verse,

  395. creating me a clean heart, O God, and they were

  396. a right spirit within me.

  397. A lot of people wanted to come to church and

  398. if you would get a temporary cleaning of the heart,

  399. and they still want to be used of God, and

  400. they still want to be part of God's kingdom. But no,

  401. it's all or nothing when it comes to God. Praise God.

  402. It says, cast me all away from thy presence and taking.

  403. Off thy Holy Spirit from me, restore me the joy.

  404. Of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit.

  405. I believe Saul had a heart that was made clean

  406. that day. I believe his desire, no doubt. He's set

  407. out for it the devils, the devil's bidden. But at

  408. the end of the day he had a heart that

  409. was fure a heart that was made clean, a heart

  410. that if you want to.

  411. Be used by God.

  412. We all we all have God hearts that can be

  413. used by God, but not all of us clean enough

  414. for God use. And I'm praying it's my I'm preaching

  415. to myself tonight. I want to have an experience of Bylfe.

  416. We get experiencing in the Holy Ghost, but don't let

  417. your experience run dry and I'm thankful that we can

  418. come into the House of God.

  419. That's why I'm important enough to miss the House.

  420. Of God, because this is where, if you will, we

  421. get our experiences renewed.

  422. That's where we, if you will, we come and get

  423. our Holy Ghost. Iidration, as our pastor preach, you get

  424. it at the house. And I'm thankful.

  425. I drive the truck out on the road and the

  426. Holy Ghost comes by there many many times.

  427. And I'm thankful for the experience that I have encountered

  428. outside of the church. But there's nothing like the experience

  429. that we experience insigned the church. Praise God. How do

  465. I believe we all can pray a man. I know

  466. we all can find a greater experience than God.

  467. Amen.

  468. Even as Christians, we can go deeper in God and

  469. have been fine. They've in a deeper relationship with our Savior.
