-
Ain't you glad for the spirit of the Lord your
-
field tonight? Yeah, I was thanking brother if you for
-
talking about that scripture. I believe now Rocky sets you
-
on Tibeto, established the new going, a new lively go start.
-
I feel like Brother Jesse and Brother Samuel were on
-
my message quite a bit. As far as like it
-
takes action, you gotta do something. If you have your
-
Bible start to First Samuel chapter seventeen, it'll be a
-
very very familiar story and scripture. I wanna.
-
I'm gonna I plan to preach the way the Lord
-
gave me.
-
It'd be a little different probably than you ever heard
-
the thought process on him. I'm gonna give honor to
-
my pastor, Brother Nathaniel, very thankful for the opportunity to preach.
-
We don't take it lightly. We definitely had fly eventful
-
time and word.
-
Thank the Lord. We had some downtime. So if every
-
reading study quite a bit, but no doubt like to sleep.
-
But if you would stand, we're gonna read first thing
-
of seventeen. We'll be reading verse verses two and verses three,
-
and saw and the men of Israel were gathered together
-
and pitched by the valley of Elaw and set the
-
battle in a.
-
Ray against the Philistines.
-
And the Philistine stood on a mountain on the one side,
-
and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side,
-
and there with a valley between them, if it would stretch.
-
Your hands forehead and.
-
As rodd God, O.
-
God, I want to preach for just a little while.
-
I won't be too too long winded, but I want
-
to preach. The Lord gave me this title when I
-
read first too, and said in Saul, and the men
-
of Israel were gathered together and pitched in the valley
-
of Ela, and set the battle in a raid against
-
the Philistines. I want to preach just for a little
-
while on finishing what they started. So most of us,
-
most everybody here probably grew up in church or you
-
for sure. This is a very common Bible story here.
-
But you got Israel and the Philistines.
-
They're on Israel's on one mountain, there's a valley in
-
between them.
-
And the Philistines are on the other valley.
-
And the Bible says that Delias would come out and
-
he would talk to Israelites under time, at their time,
-
he would come out and tell him send me a
-
man who will fight. Send me someone that fight against me,
-
the Philistine's best. If it takes sending me your best,
-
bring it on.
-
I'm ready.
-
And the Bible says, Goliath come and presented himself for
-
forty days.
-
Right.
-
So I don't know how long is the battle had
-
been going on, if they've been in a stand off
-
longer than forty.
-
Days, but I know it was forty plus days until
-
David walked into the story.
-
So David had three brothers of being a David, Shama,
-
and Eliah. And so his father Jesse called him and said, hey,
-
I want you to go check on my boys. Go
-
down there to the battle and take the captain of
-
their hosts, taking ten loaves and ten things of cheese.
-
So David done as his father said. The next morning,
-
he got up and he made his way.
-
And about the time David got there, the Bible says,
-
Israel and the Philistines put the armies at war.
-
They could get to buy and David send it.
-
And the Bible says he left his chariot with the keeper,
-
and he ran into the trench and saluted his brethren.
-
I won't be too long, so I makes.
-
Y'all get in here and gravel what I say, and
-
I'm breaching again on finishing what they started. David walks
-
in there with a good attitude. David walks in there
-
to get the captain of his three brothers. The captain
-
their host a thousand men was what their captain had.
-
They were three of the thousand. He walked in with
-
good things Jesse and told him go and get their
-
their their plays. What I believe that's what they need.
-
So David went with good intensions. The Bible said. He
-
walked in and saluted his brethren. And about that time,
-
Oh Goliath makes an appearance.
-
And the Bible said, is that Saul and the men planned.
-
They were fearful, all right, And so David the men David,
-
from what I read, he didn't ask them about Eliath.
-
They began to tell David about Elizazh. Have you heard
-
of this man? The liar?
-
The men had just ran from him.
-
And so they began to tell David about Elia and
-
tell him of the things that King Saul would do
-
for the man that would kill him. Right, the Bible said,
-
David turned to another, and he asked them what will
-
be done to the man that kills him, and they
-
said the same manner.
-
And it happened two or three times, all right.
-
And then David's brother Elia. This boy had an attitude.
-
And he had it for a while.
-
The Bible says he heard the men talking to David,
-
and Eliab said, let me see by five of his
-
first twenty eight and elive. His eldest brother heard when
-
he spake under the men and Eliab, and the lion's
-
anger was kindled against David, and he said, why comest
-
thou down hither, and with whom hast thou let those
-
few sheep in the wilderness.
-
I know thy eye in the naughtiness.
-
Of thy heart for the hour come down that theou
-
might have seen the battle. David didn't come to see
-
the battle. David come to bring the battle. This wasn't
-
David's problems with the one Gamen. That's why I got
-
fantasy what they started. Yes, David was a part of Israel,
-
but it was not a part of the army. This
-
why here was a lion of being and dam and
-
Shama's problem to themselves. David, right here, the one gave
-
you this. David responds, The Bible says, to his brother, right.
-
What have I done this time? What have I done now?
-
Right?
-
And then he says, is there not a cause? The
-
only thing I know from what I read? David comes
-
in salute. Some the men come to David and tell
-
him about the lion. David asked another one, is this true?
-
What the saying's gonna happen? The people tell him yes,
-
and then David all he says that you find until.
-
Saul calls for him.
-
Is this? They're not a cast That's the only thing
-
I see. And Saul calls for him simply because he said,
-
is they're not a call? Right? So David comes to
-
saw and begins to talk to Saul, and Soul sells
-
him that you're not You can't go against this man
-
this you're nothing but a youth. This man a man
-
of war from his year. Right. He begins to the
-
little David a little bit right, and David tells him
-
of the times that God, you seem to slay the
-
lion and the bear. Saul sits there and tries to
-
offer David is armored on O that scripture. We've heard
-
it for years.
-
David Saul was head and shoulders above everybody. God, this
-
armor is not gonna work for David, and I got
-
something to tell. I'd got a saw here.
-
But if your armor won't work for you, it ain't
-
gonna work for David.
-
It's not in the armor, it's what's in the armor.
-
David didn't in the armor.
-
He took what he knew, what girth having that was
-
his sleep. You have to use what with no words,
-
every one of us, no prayer words. Every one of
-
us goes fast and watch. Every one of us knows worship.
-
David makes his way. I got to think that, the
-
Bible says, he takes this this noo. David's got his
-
five stone and.
-
He begins to head towards Goliath.
-
Was this the first Israelie that Goliath had ever seen
-
up close to, other than maybe one pay of capture?
-
Because Goliath, every time he appeared, including the King of Israel. Sorry,
-
all of a sudden, there's nothing but a little old life.
-
The Bible says, he there's a little laugh, or get
-
the worst onto the r I just.
-
Slipping God, Yeah, a ruddy little boy coming at him.
-
Deliaths not quite stood up yet. David starts making his
-
way to him, and the Bible says that Goliath looks
-
on him and says, Ama, dog.
-
That you'm coming with with staves.
-
What Goliath was saying, I expected a man I might
-
have expected Sol be the one to come and faced it.
-
Little on David comes out there and he telling, you
-
come to me.
-
With spearing, a sword and a shield.
-
But the reason I'm here it ain't for the money.
-
That solved one yet he ain't for the title Sol. Again,
-
it's simply because he defied the army of God.
-
That is the number one problem David having me Goliath.
-
David slays deliaths with the starling stinks in his forehead.
-
Oh, Goliath has a fault quite like sister Hammond, and
-
he falls flat on his face. Though theyven didn't have
-
a sword.
-
David goes and gets the man's sword, cuts his head off.
-
We know the story.
-
Now all of a sudden, all of iss maading a charge.
-
Where were you at he time for a heart?
-
With the times you ran?
-
Now all of a sudden, now right there showed you
-
soul with a charge. Every scene his man in a charge,
-
Shama bending down, and a dog got a charge with him.
-
Be in the same bloodline as as David. The Bible
-
says Jesse was a great man for his as there
-
was a man among men for an old man, said
-
David cuts his head off. I just feel like, uh,
-
Live had probably long out your hair like Sampson.
-
I think you had that old boy by his head
-
walking around. The Bible says he headed to Jerusalem.
-
Now all of a sudden, imagine on me, he's got
-
that old boy's head in his hand. Now all that
-
hears the lots are chasing all the Philistine's away.
-
Something that stuck.
-
Out to me Dave of Saul when he asked Abner
-
after they seen the way David went towards him, he said,
-
whose son is.
-
This Avener, said Liz Aber Admer.
-
Said, as the Lord liveth I cannot tell thee Saul said, fine.
-
Now the Bible says that David.
-
When he come back from slaughtering the Philistines, I couldn't
-
help but think we don't know if Elias the only
-
Philistine David slew. The Bible don't say that. He said
-
that after David come back from the slaughter of the Philistine.
-
He had oh Elias head in his hand, carried around
-
Abner that he said, ain't Saul wants to see you.
-
He come in with the problem Saul couldn't handle. He
-
come in with the problem. That's Saul that terrorized his
-
man for both day.
-
I'm telling you right now we gotta church some As
-
to having me David's three brothers you're talking about I
-
think that Appetim's gonna be a good man, But you're
-
talking about cowards.
-
If any of my brothers or myself or anybody of this.
-
Church, even when he handed down there around and seeing
-
three men by, he didn't see.
-
Nobody listen to me. There's their stand by, what's your
-
make your move? Stand back?
-
And what's to do?
-
Dad drugs you the glue to see if you're bad.
-
All they were doing was.
-
Waiting to see if Dave and Dy hide it.
-
To see if David Little ready to say it, to
-
see if we meant this. They're not a cause. Same
-
thing happened to Sham and one.
-
Of David's my three mighty men. It's not his brother,
-
separate man in that in that field of lineals they
-
were coming from warm Why is he the only man
-
standing in the middle. They sat there and foks laid
-
them all.
-
That's what that means. Don't have limbs because because.
-
Of a shell.
-
I want to tell you, if you're David, if you're
-
pastor Ever.
-
Gets your back to finish with you started, listen to me,
-
David wasn't around when this started.
-
David was more likely than in the field with his father. Shit,
-
the man of God ain't there when you commit your sin.
-
The man of God he might know, but listen to me,
-
he ain't there.
-
He don't want to happen.
-
Sometimes he does, sometimes he don't. David was in the field.
-
So if you're pastor, if your if you're David Ever
-
goes to fix your problem, at least be.
-
Mail enough to say I'll get your back, shut up
-
there and that in a line.
-
They should have been mad enough to say, David, we
-
don't try God one week need we can't.
-
Deal with little Goliath.
-
He's staying behind your back on song. Should have been
-
out there saying, Dick boy, we'll see he should.
-
Have talked David.
-
Alban didn't work for Dick.
-
Get us to say.
-
This.
-
This I know, I said it, This is not this
-
was not a lot of people and I'll probably one
-
day I preach it as the problem of David.
-
A lot of people preached this as David's giant, as
-
the thing that's gonna David.
-
This was not David's problem. This was simply song in
-
the army of eas They're the one that stood there
-
like cowbirds. I don't care how big of a man,
-
how strong, how powerful, how much might he's got. If
-
a handful of me, it would have charge. They said, hey,
-
will sacrifice you. They could have taken down. But everyone
-
I'm was scared. Why because of their And I want
-
to tell you stand.
-
One on your pastor if he's ever dealing and it's
-
a situation that you won't deal with yourself.
-
It's understandable. Times you might not have the power with God.
-
You need to fix the problem. So but at least
-
get to madle God's back. Least there and defend.
-
But you started right God.
-
We got a church here.
-
I was talking to Brother Jennings there to night and
-
I told him, I said, we are nonline.
-
When we say we don't have a dross service. Every service,
-
I brother, par of God don't matter day I see
-
it matter.
-
But I want to tell somebody, if you're you here,
-
if you're the person that's been ever since Pastor took
-
the pastor, you know good, well, this is a church
-
that would kept behind you, and you gonna face the
-
thing that you need to face. I know good well,
-
if you're in the altar, you're gonna have someone David
-
didn't have that will bless me. I'll measure to have
-
a church never will get behind us.
-
David's president.
-
Get you that, David's mighty man.
-
Shall I didn't have that, But if you did have it,
-
would you have it? Deep down?
-
And sad enough?
-
I beat him?
-
Do it yourself David did as a young man, David,
-
I had what he did. I pray to y'all and
-
won't have one and need leus. Come in the altars.
-
I'm said in here, Bena will get behind you.
-
You ain't got to worry about charging your devil in
-
your lives, and you ain't.
-
Got no one behind you.
-
This church will get behind you and pray with you. Second, then.
-
See that is done by said little Daavid.
-
When it is dim in your.
-
Favor, I'm getting it all.
-
I don't know.
-
I want someone to not.
-
With the head of your problem, with the problem, and
-
I about you for some time.
-
It was forty days.
-
Becoming tide of me holding anything about here so long,
-
and no the best people that are.
-
