that water.

She really wanted it. But do you really want it?

Did you come here to watch others that have it,

or did you come here to get it? It? Acts too,

they were there because they wanted it.

They weren't there to talk to the pastor they weren't

there to talk to the disciples about their experience.

They weren't there because they wanted to estave something that

he had promised, because when he left, he didn't gave

them a promise that they would receive something not many days.

Hence our pastor said, my brother would receive something.

It was six days later. I think it was he

received it. He really wanted it.

I was saying, how it doesn't matter where you are,

came because we wanted a praise.

We came because we needed something. Everyone needs more of him,

But do you want more of him? Do you really

really want?

The woman at the well wanted it what she heard

who she was talking to.

She wanted it.

What he had said.

You would have asked for a living water. It didn't

take long for her to realize.

This is the society. This is the one I've heard about.

This is the one that man went through our city

teaching about this is the that's right.

The one who can forgive sins. I was thinking about

that man that was Rick what I think it was,

and his friends tore off the roof.

His friends wanted him to have it, but he also

wanted it. But I think it was him before he

got a healing, his sins were forgiven.

I think it was bad encounter. They said, how can you?

It was in my words, you can't forgive sins. Wouldn't

have been easier to say walk, but Jesus came back

with an answer, something like it would have been easier

to say rise and walk, but he would have just

went back to the sins, forgive the sins, and then

healed it.

I was thinking about all those healings.

Do you think they really expected the healing or do

they think, oh.

Am, I just one of those ones.

They are're gonna give my word.

I was thinking about the little children that the cycles

kept turning away from it, and he Jesus rebuked him

because it was for all ages. When Jesus asked for

a drink, he wanted to drink, but he wanted to

give more than he wanted to take.

Our pastor gives more than he receives.

Jesus wanted to give her something more than he wanted

to receive the water.

They wanted to give her salvation more than he wanted

to take.

The water from the buck.

Then I was really wondering, how many came here just

because it's church.

They don't want to look. How many came just because

they didn't wanna oh that one day? How many come

to churches because they don't wanna be the known. That's

the use to go to church?

Right, as brother na thing was said.

In fifteen, she asked for right and in sixteen Jesus.

Jesus said under her, go call thy husband and come.

You happen?

Thou would thou happen? Yes, she says she has no husband,

But Jesus said to go.

And get her husband.

She had a husband somewhere.

He might have been the trunk on the street, but

she had a husband somewhere.

Her husband was somewhere. But did he want it? The

entire village wanted.

The entire village knew.

It was him.

By the end of the chapter, they knew it was

the one that could save, the one that could save

the fire. And as we read him, that's true. The

one when he left, he gave us a gift unlike

any other.

He gave us a gift that.

All should receive all he wants, all the receiving in

A time that we get gifts, but one day we're

gonna get the best gift. I was thinking about that

best gift, the final gift heaven right, and I thought, Old,

what a great gift. Then the man who was then

was lame from his mother's woman. They laid him at

the gate every day. Do you think how many times

did somebody one of them disciples just pass him out?

You don't know. He was there everything. I don't I

didn't find how old he was, right, but it was

probably there for a forever.

Every day at the Arab prayer, hundreds probably walked on light.

He mighta got a little money, but he never got

that great kid. But one day Peter said, silver and

gold have I good? Instead of passing you by because.

What they did they used for food. But one day

they could give a man a gift unlike a.

Man stressed your hands forward Heaven. Thank God for the world,

and even think for Jesus the best gift.

himself known and making himself avail.

I highly respect both of them, and I really feel

that God's gonna help us here tonight.

We'll be looking and acts. Chapter number five just right

All right, it says in the first verse, but a

certain man named Ananias.

With his wife Saphar.

With Saphari his wife sort of possession and kept that

part of the prost. His wife also being privy to it,

and brought up a certain part and laid out the

feel down heart, to lie to the holy ghost, and

to keep them, and to keep back part of the

prices of the land. Whiles it remained, was it naught

done own? And after it, after it was soul? Was

it naught in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived

this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men,

but unto God. Backing up to the middle part of

that verse, it says, why hast thou conceived this thing

in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but

unto God. Looking over in Jeremiah chapter seventeen, verse nine,

it says, the heart is deceitful above all things, and

desperately wicked.

Who can know it?

Let's pray here.

Tonight, God, God, God, God, God.

Lord.

I think for God, for just a little bit of

time tonight, I want to preach a message the Lord

laid on my heart, and he's been dealing with me,

and now I know that he's pulling in this in

this direction that I don't want to preach on keeping

some but losing it all. In this story of Antonys

and so far as his wife, it occurred us shortly

after the.

Day of Pentecost, which we can find in Acts chapter

two is Brother josh as our you read about.

This was truly a life changing experience for many people

that day and would continue to change the lives of

people for.

A great period of time.

They would receive the effect the sanctification, the sweet Holy

Ghost baptism effects for.

Many, for me and to many years, and I believe it.

Even gave the disciples of Jesus an experience that gave

them more Holy Ghost power and boldness to go out

and preach, rebuke, exord do exactly what God bid than

to do to give direction to the churches, the New

Testament churches. And we can find here in the fourth

chapter that Peter and John were arrested for preaching and

teaching unto the crowd.

They were arrested for doing what God told them to do.

And despite being arrested by the priests and the saddesties.

Many people believed what the disciples were preaching, but the

priests and Saddustes walked them up.

But it still had a great effect on many people.

There.

They're in the fourth chapter, and.

As Peter and John were about to be released out

of the pres they were commanded not to speak or

teach in.

The name of Jesus.

But this is what the Lord started dealing with you

right here, leading building this foundation. In the fourth chapter,

verse twenty says, for we cannot but speak the things

we have seen and heard. They knew what they have seen.

They knew what they had heard although they had been

in prison. They knew that they're the God that brought

them out. They knew that there was a God.

There was the God.

That they had seen the miracles the Upper Room, experience

that they at Pentecosts. They knew the one hundred and

twenty that were filled they have seen that they had

experienced that.

And reading several verses down here at.

The twenty third verse in the fourth chapter, this is

leading up to the distribution of the possessions. Right here

it said in the twenty third verse, and being let go.

This is Paul in size. They were just released, it says,

And being let go, they went to their own company

and reported all that the chief priests and elders had

said unto them. And when they heard. When they heard that,

they lifted up their voice to God with when accord,

and said, Lord, Thou art God, which hast paid heaven

and earth and the sea, and all that is and

all that in them is, who by the mouth of

thy servant David has said, why did the heathen rage

and the people imagine vain things? The kings of the

earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against

the Lord and against his Christ, for of a truth,

against thy Holy Child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed both

herod and walked his violet. With the gentiles and the

people of Israel were gathered together for to.

Do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel.

Intermined before to be done.

And now Lord, behold their threatenings, and grant.

Unto thy servants, that with all.

Boldness they may speak the word by stretching forth thy

hand to you, and that signs and the wonders may

be done by the name of the Holy Child Jesus.

I like this verse right here that right shortly after this,

we'll see how see how the Lord started working, And

it says, and when and when they had prayed, a man,

hasn't the Lord been dealing with a lot of people

to seek sink his face and to pray, he said,

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where

they were assembled together, and they were all felled.

With the holy ghost, and they spake the word.

Of God with boldness.

And right here's where the we're leading into, where the

distribution of the possessions were distributed out, and says, and

the multitude of them that believed were of one heart

and of one soul. Neither said any of them that

all of the things which he possessed was his own power.

But they had all things common, and with great power

gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus,

and great gave.

Great grace was upon them all.

Neither was there any among them that lacked, For as

many were possessors of lands or houses, sold them.

And brought the process of the things.

That were sold, and laid them down at the apostle's feet,

and distribution was made unto every man according I see

had need and you can as we read it up there,

meaning there's many people up there. They were in that place,

and when the Holy Ghost came down, after praying and

seeking God, they were filled with the Holy Ghost. And

this is how the Holy Ghost led them, I believe,

to see if they were going to be obedient or not.

And that's where we're gonna get into right here in

a minute. But as we see right here, many of

those people weren't great possessions.

I believe, wealthy men and wealthy women, and.

They had land and houses, and I believe God had

richly blessed them, if you would, for that day, and

right here it seemed.

Like everything was going. Everybody was obeying God.

Everybody who would was selling their possessions and bringing them

and laying them.

At the apostles feet.

But there you have Antonius and Sapphire, a husband and

wife who at one point, no doubt, I believe they

loved God and had a relationship with God that though

men could break.

I believe that one point in time, and I read.

One spot when I was studying Antonius was one of

the men that got with.

The Holy Ghost at that point in time. But at

verse three right here and verse three right here.

In the fifth chapter, it says, but Peter said Antonius,

why Satan feel thy heart to lie to the Holy

Ghost and to keep back part of the price of

the land, No doubt it was because they were lacking

in their prayer life. They had quit fasting, No doubt,

they had quit seeking God, which brought them to the

place of lying.

To the Holy Ghost.

It's one thing when.

You lie to your when you lie to your wife,

your brother and sister.

That's bad. But okay yourself and have the hell when

you lie to the Holy Ghost. Amen.

I believe it all.

I mean actions speak louder than words. If you write

the altra time and time again, your action is speaking.

Whether if you're willing to be obedient to God or

whether you're not willing to.

Be obedient to God.

Amen.

If they would have, if they would have been where

they needed to be with God, they wouldn't have found

themselves committing this horrible sin. If they would have been

prayed of, if they would have been fasted up, if

they would have had all heart willing to obey like

no doubt, prior to what had happened, they were no

doubt in the multitude that had received the Holy Ghost,

that was doing flourishing in Christ, but they had tame

to a spot in their life where they had let

the devil distract them.

Hey, the devil.

The devil can tempt you, but it can't force you

to disobey God.

It's within the human flesh.

Never we fall, whenever we get to the place where

we turn our back on God and taught us.

It's not our pastor's fall.

It's not the youth pastors fall their man.

It's been called of us, it's been called them good

turned our back, and we're keeping something inside of us

Tonight it's.

We all the keeping something, but we're about to lose

it all.

I don't want to get ahead of myself here, but

I thank God for everything that he's.

Praise God. This is the same way with so many

people today. They try to keep back parts of their sins.

They they say they've been forgiven, but really, deep down inside,

it's because what they're keeping back. They're trying to keep

something back, because they're truly not satisfied.

Amen, because they've not experienced the real thing.

Amen.

They're keeping something back because they want to go back

to because Amen, they know there's pleasure in sins and

for a season, but when the season's over, they're going

to find theirself in the same old spot.

Whatever you try and keep back from laying at.

The feet of Jesus will be the thing that will

make you suffer the consequences like Antonized and Saphar, Saphire

a spot where they never would have dreamed of being

in right. But the reason why they, like I've been saying,

the reason why they were in that spot, is because

they wasn't in tune with God.

They wouldn't pray like they needed to be. Amen.

Prayer brings in revival. Prayer brings in revival that won't

lead us a straight or cross closer to Him, a

man praise God sought the Solomon Chapter two, verse fifteen says,

take us the.

Foxes, the little foxes that spool the vine.

It was the little thing, Amen that made them commit

this in called disobedience.

It was the devil. And as we can as we've

seen out there.

It wasn't that they didn't have a problem with selling

their possessions.

They sold them.

It was perfectly fine to sell them.

But whenever it came down to being fully obedient and

laying them down at the feet of the apostles, that's

when the devil came in.

And look, look, we know you done.

Solve it.

You done.

You're part way part of the way there, but I

want to trip you up, Amen, And that's how the

devil's trout of you. If you're halfway there, if you're saved, Amen,

you're that much more closer to getting sanctified. If you're sanctified,

you're that much more to getting the holey goes.

If you can just grab a hold of it, you

won't find yourself.

If you spot, Amen, a thing in you can backslide,

but it'll be up to you if you backslide.

Together. You have to handle your relationship with God.

You may think you will be able to pass the

I believe it was wrapped in and there when Peter

confront him, that's when he fell down.

To the ground when he died.

I don't think he had time to repent.

I don't think he had time to ry he out

because God knew that he done had it at one

point in time.

God knew that he hadn't tasted and seen.

And it was his own fault that he and that

he went out and into this warning became the man

that he was that would call him to disobey.

And he said and the young men arose, wound him

up and carried him out and buried him on it.

And it was about the space of three hours after

when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in

and Peter answered it under her, tell me whether he

sold the land for so much? And she said, gay

for so much? Then Peter said, unto her, and how

was it that you have agreed together to tempt the

spirit of the Lord?

You're you're playing on dangerous grounds. Whenever you start tempting God.

When when God draws you and you come and pray,

but it's not a sincere prayer. You're just tempting the

Holy coast. You're tempting, and.

One day he's gonna pull back the hand.

What do you think It's all right right now? Down

the road, you'll get serious with God. Amen, or whatever

the word started dealing with me back in February.

who I needed to be.

People's falling away, we've seen where people.

can get to a place that you would want. Can

you'll be wishing you could look up and warn somebody,

a family member of friend. It wasn't worth it.

a certain part and laid it at the apostles feet.

The Lord began to deal with me.

On if you ask yourself that my barnabusm an Annius,

you will if you're like Barnabas, he sold his possessions

and laid the money after the apostle's feet, and no

doubt reap the benefits you read, amen, because he had

faith and when they were able to put all the

possessions that he wouldn't get what he needed.

And I believe after all.

This, Amen, he prospered and done good.

But or will you be like Annonius who sold this possession,

but let the devil distract his mind deceive his heart.

He suffered the consequences because amen, he let the devil

come in and tempt him.

Like I said earlier, the devil could tempt you, amen.

But he can't force you to do wrong.

He can't make you do wrong against the flesh that

causes us touff, that causes us to lead astraight.
