-
I want to thank my pastor and my youth pastor
-
for having the trust in me to bring God's word
-
to his people. It's a serious thing, and I don't
-
want to overstep my bounds. But if you want to
-
turn to Genesis chapter two, verse sixteen says and the
-
Lord God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of
-
the garden, thou mayst freely eat. But of the tree
-
of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not
-
eat of it, For in the day that thou eatst
-
thereof thou shalt surely die. But if brother Nathaniel could pray, God.
-
Would you come by yours to play for your people? God,
-
would you give me any nothing more or not than less.
-
God, I'd like to preach a message titled life or Death.
-
And in this passage of scripture, where Adam and Eve
-
were given a simple instruction, they were given a simple role.
-
Eat everything else, just don't touch this one tree. And
-
it's so often humans have that desire to disobey, to
-
go against authority. And I'd like to point out that
-
with disobedience comes death, with obedience comes life. And we
-
also see that in chapter three of Genesis, in verse
-
number six, it says, and the and when the woman
-
saw that the tree was good for food, and that
-
it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to
-
be desired to make one wise, she took of the
-
fruit thereof and did eat, and gave also into her
-
husband with her, and he did eat. That was the fall,
-
that was the mistake. Right there, they disobeyed God. And
-
before that the devil came to her. It seemed so
-
often with dith'sobedience, there's always another being involved. There's always
-
someone that puts a stumbling block in the way.
-
And if we.
-
Turned to First Kings, chapter thirteen and verse nine, this
-
is a man of God that was sent on a
-
mission to witness to Bethel. I think, but it says,
-
for so it was charged me by the word of
-
the Lord, saying eat no bread, nor drink water, nor
-
turn again by the same way that thou comest. Those
-
were his instructions to follow, if you will. He was
-
to fast while he was ministering to the lost. And
-
it's sad that even a man of God can be
-
tripped up. A lot of people think that just because
-
you're saved, or just because you got the Holy Ghost,
-
you're exempt from God's judgment, this man of God disobeyed.
-
In a verse number nineteen, it says, so he went
-
back with him and did eat bread in his house
-
and drank water. And it came to pass as they
-
sat at the table, that the word of the Lord
-
came under the prophet that brought him back. And he
-
cried unto the man of God that came from Judas, saying,
-
thus saith the Lord, forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the
-
mouth of the Lord, and has not kept the commandment
-
which the Lord, thy God commanded thee, but came his back,
-
and has eaten bread and drunk water in the place
-
of which the Lord did say to thee, eat no
-
bread and drink no water. Thy carcass shall not come
-
under the sepulcher of thy fathers. And it came to
-
pass after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk,
-
he saddled for him the ask to wit for the
-
prophet whom he had brought back. And when he was gone,
-
a lion met him in the way and slew him,
-
and his carcass was cast in the way, and the
-
ass stood by it, and the lion also stood by
-
the carcass. So he disobeyed God, and it brought death.
-
Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and it brought death to
-
all humanity. And I mentioned this to Pasture while back.
-
I wasn't planning on preaching about it. It was just
-
something that I saw. Or in Exodus twelve, on the
-
tenth plague that God put on Egypt. God told the
-
children of Israel to take blood from a sacrifice and
-
painted on their doorpost. They obeyed, and it spared their
-
sons and daughters, the first born. But what I brought,
-
or what I asked Pastor his thoughts on, is what
-
if they hadn't it wouldn't have been just the mothers
-
of Egypt crying the next morning. It would have been
-
the children of God also. And I've looked up the
-
definition of sin, and it's an act of commission or
-
a mission and missing God's perfect standard, or acting against
-
his will if you will. It's to disobey him. And
-
I thought, we even have the good side of this.
-
We've got an example of someone who does or did
-
obey God. We have a pastor who chose to leave
-
behind so much and and look look what happened from
-
simple act of obedience. I dare say, if he did
-
disobey God, where would we all be. I don't think
-
we'd be here, and I don't think we would have
-
made it to heaven. But the most important example of
-
obedience I believe is Jesus, who willingly obeyed his fathers.
-
He chose to die for a people who disobeyed. In
-
that sacrifice alone is what's gonna make up for our
-
active disobedience and grant us eternal life. And there's so
-
many examples throughout the Bible. I thought of Elijah and
-
the widow woman. If she would have disobeyed, it would
-
have left her and her son to death. But because
-
she obeyed, her life and her son's life were sustained.
-
And I'm thankful that God is a God of mercy.
-
And when you do disobey, sometimes there is a way
-
out of it. But if you do it before it's
-
too late.
-
Amen, Ain't you thankful for the service thus far man,
-
the way the Lord has helped and worked in our
-
myt st.
-
Amen.
-
I'm thankful, Amen, to be in God's house in such
-
a aymen wonderful atmosphere, and men, God never disappoints, Amen.
-
God never disappoints. Amen, he's always Amen. More than enough.
-
I mean, you can turn with me to the book
-
of Saint Luke.
-
Amen.
-
Saint Luke's Gospel, Amen, the recording the Man of the
-
Beloved Physician.
-
We're gonna look. We're gonna look.
-
At chapter number fifteen to night. I'm so thankful for
-
this opportunity. Amen, I give honor to my pastor tonight. Amen,
-
the Man of God. Amen that God has they been
-
used to mold and show me? Amen, right from wrong? Amen,
-
Praise God. I'm eternally grateful for that. I mean, the
-
Lord laid this on my heart and I haven't been
-
able to get away from it.
-
Amen. I'm gonna try to, Amen, get through this.
-
We're gonna look at verse number eight Saint Luke's Gospel,
-
Champian number fifteen, verse number eight, and we'll read eight
-
and nine. The Bible said, either, what woman, having ten
-
pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not
-
light a candle and sweep the house and seek diligently
-
till she find it. And when she found it, she
-
calleth her friends and her neighbors together, saying, rejoice with me,
-
for I have found the peace which I had lost. Amen,
-
you can mark that spot there in your Bible and
-
just flip briefly over to Acts chapter number seventeen. There,
-
in verse number Amen twenty seven, the Bible said that
-
they should seek the Lord if happy, they might feel
-
after him and find him, though he be not far
-
from every one of us. And and you know God's
-
in close proximity to us. Amen, Amen, stretch her hands
-
toward Heaven. Ask God to help us. Amen here tonight
-
in this service, Lord, thank you for your minister's God,
-
the word of God. Thank you, Lord for all that
-
you've done in this service. Lord God, We thank you
-
for your word.
-
Lord. It is a sure foundation that we can stand on.
-
We ask God that your anainting would come Lord by
-
tonight and break the yokes God that would bind. Lord,
-
that your word would go forth and we would have
-
ears to hear God, and we would have tender heart
-
Art's good ground. Lord, that that seed would take root
-
in God, where you might water at God and give
-
the increase. We ask even tonight, Lord said to God
-
about my mouth, and let me say nothing more and
-
nothing less than you would have me.
-
God.
-
And for this will be forever grateful and give you
-
the glory, the honor, and the praise in Jesus Holy Name.
-
And the church said, Amen, praise God.
-
Amen. I'm so happy to be in God's house. Amen.
-
On October thirty first. Amen, I loved what that Amen.
-
That reminder Pastor gave us all. Amen of the importance
-
of what we get to celebrate on such an occasion.
-
Amen.
-
And we get to celebrate truth and righteousness Amen.
-
In dark days Amen.
-
The Bible said that, Amen, when it's gonna get dark, Amen,
-
some things Amen, the things of God are gonna start
-
getting brighter.
-
They're gonna start abounding. Amen. So I thank the Lord Amen,
-
that we're in God's house.
-
And we look here Chap in chapter number fifteen of
-
this Here in this chapter what is known as the
-
Chapter of Lost Things Luke chapter number fifteen, you find
-
Amen Jesus talking a little bit here. This is penned
-
by the hand of Luke, and Jesus Christ, the Messiah,
-
our Lord and Savior, begins to tell this parable among others,
-
and he puts great emphasis in one of them, Amen
-
on on a lost sheep. And then in another one
-
he begins to put great emphasis on a lost person.
-
And then also in our golden texts, we find the
-
parable of the lost coin.
-
Amen.
-
There's something that stands out to me as I look
-
at the these depictions of our ability to find ourselves
-
in relatable situations.
-
Amen.
-
And you Amen, you must possess something to lose it you.
-
It must be it must belong to you, Amen, for
-
you to have lost it. And Jesus says clearly, here Amen,
-
this woman had ten pieces of silver.
-
Amen.
-
It was her possession. It was something she knew. She
-
knew what it felt like in her hand.
-
Amen.
-
She knew where she kept it. Amen, maybe a piggy
-
bank or a jar.
-
Amen.
-
When I was growing up by Amen, got in the
-
habit of picking up coins out of the Walmart parking lot.
-
And I had a gatorade bottle on my dresser, and
-
all of my coins went in that gatorade body. It
-
wasn't the big when it was the small one. No
-
doubt she knew where she was putting things.
-
Amen.
-
But eventually she realizes there used to be ten there,
-
and now I've only been left with nine.
-
Amen. And she began to see the necessity of it.
-
And now we know that there are things that we
-
can possess physically, Amen, things that you can hold in
-
your hand. And then there are things that you amen,
-
will never hold in your hand. They're not tangible. Amen,
-
you'll never amen begin to amen, feel the substance of them. Amen,
-
with your with your five senses, so to speak. But Amen,
-
you can feel them in your heart, and you can
-
feel them in your life. And Amen. You may never
-
hold peace in your hand, Amen, but you can possess peace.
-
And you may never amen seemingly hold love in your hand,
-
but you can possess love.
-
Amen. So there's so much here.
-
Amen, that God has gifted the bethro hole in his church,
-
and Amen, the youth that the bethrol hole.
-
In his church. We've been given so much. Amen.
-
You may not be able to amen seemingly put it
-
in the bag and take it home with you, Amen,
-
But it goes home within your heart.
-
Amen. It goes home within your life. Amen. And it
-
is beyond price. It is most valuable.
-
And many times though we seem to lose these things
-
that we cannot Amen. See, we seem to lose them,
-
and then we don't. We fail to realize the necessity,
-
and then we fail, amen, to feel the need to
-
try to recover them, Amen, because we're not Amen as
-
aware as if Amen, our piggy bank had been a
-
robbed and raided and we missing one hundred dollars. A mean,
-
I know some young men Deny that would get beside
-
themselves and say, where's my hundred dollars?
-
What I do with it? Did I spend it? To? Somebody?
-
Come in my room? A Remember, we lived with things
-
in our lives that are missing.
-
We know we once had them, we once possessed them, Amen,
-
But we wake up one day and they're missing.
-
He amember, what of the necessity? Amen?
-
Up the woman Amen, And she began to realize her
-
current situation in her state, and she began to prioritize
-
the recovery of that which she had lost. She began
-
to take it seriously, and she began to do something
-
about it.
-
Amen.
-
Now Amen, the Lord leaves me to do this. And Amen,
-
this is something Amen, I learned from my pastor. I'll
-
be completely transparent. I love this, and you even hear
-
him still today. Do this, amen, and he'll.
-
Give us a mental outline.
-
And the Lord gave me a mental outline for this sermon,
-
and I found it just in verse number eight Amen,
-
you find Amen, this mental outline will follow the night.
-
Shine sweep seek Amen, Shine sweep seek Amen. There are
-
people in their lives, brother Wood, and then we can
-
look at their lives and we know when they pray,
-
God answers them. But it's so easy to just say
-
that's pastor. It's so easy just to say that's sister,
-
how young ladies. Amen, that is able to get a
-
prayer through. But there is always a method. And God
-
is not a respector of persons, Amen, He's a respector
-
of responses.
-
He's a respector of.
-
Someone that takes him out his word, Amen, and will
-
do just what he said. And we find here a
-
woman that realized she needed something, a woman that realized
-
she needed God, Amen to move in her life. If
-
you could put it this way, Amen, to bring it
-
Amen into your perspective here and man, you've got things
-
you need God to do.
-
Amen. You know you're missing things. You know you don't.
-
Possess, things that some others do. You know you don't,
-
but that things maybe that you once did. And there
-
is a method to get God way up there in heaven.
-
Man, to listen down.
-
To little o you Amen, in answer you and move
-
heaven and earth on your behalf. But you've had to
-
follow Amen, God's failing and his word. And I know
-
this may be different, that's all right. I mean I
-
fought Hell all day to day. Amen, I Praise God.
-
I don't know that I've ever Amen in recent Amen,
-
Praise God. Years struggle, Amen so much.
-
Amen. As I prayed, I felt like Aymen. It was Amen.
-
The heavens were brass, and no doubt you could say, Amen,
-
that's the onslaughts of Hell. Well it probably wise a
-
man considering everything that's going on. Amen, But I believe
-
God is speaking to somebody. Toned and Acts seventeen to
-
twenty seven said that they should seek the Lord. If happy,
-
they might feel after him and find him, though he
-
be not far from every one of us. So it
-
gives us a remedy that they should seek the Lord.
-
And men.
-
Now, God's proximity to all of us is not have
-
been measured in large sums or great distances, but rather
-
he is close enough Amen, that someone blindly feeling after him.
-
This word can mean growth. Amen.
-
Someone stumbling along in the dark with the intent of
-
finding God a man, we'll make contact with him.
-
The Bible said if you draw nigh to him, he
-
will draw nigh to you.
-
Aymen, you wonder why people get a prayer through and
-
it seems like they get responses from God and their
-
life is different than yours, and their prayer life seems
-
to be different than yours, and God answers and moves.
-
Amen.
-
It's not because God has put a crown on their
-
head and said, this is the only person I'm gonna
-
move for. He's just waiting on you to follow their
-
example and the examples he's given us in his that
-
they be to you.
-
If you're looking for something.
-
And needing something, you can find it, just like any
-
other person can.
-
It's up to you.
-
It's up to your desire, up to your willingness to
-
seek the Lord.
-
Amen.
-
In our Golden Text, we began to look at this
-
woman as she begins to try to figure out how do.
-
I find the coin.
-
I've been there, and i feel like I've got a
-
long ways to go, and then before I get where
-
I want to go, when I talk to God, I
-
mean and I see AM in my pastor's life and
-
the way God moves in his life, and I may
-
slow down and talk to you a little bit tonight.
-
I mean, we.
-
How why those questions? They they need to be asked.
-
A lot of people don't ask needed questions. Why in
-
your life, as God not lose for you, Why have.
-
You not received that that He's promised you?
-
Why have you not, amen, taken into your bosom and
-
in the possessions that He has already gifted you.
-
Amen?
-
And so I looked at Birs number eight, and I
-
began the woman a man, begin to realize this woman
-
here hath ten pieces.
-
Amen. But the first thing she does is she lights
-
a candle. Amen.
-
And you need light, you need illumination, you need understanding,
-
you need acceptance of where you're at here.
-
Amen.
-
Submission to God's word will always bring the blessing. Why
-
am I tying this to God's word? Because the Bible said,
-
thy word is a lamp under my feet and a
-
light unto my path. And we know God illuminated for
-
Abraham brother Jesse, the promise He illuminated under him the
-
way he should walk. He said, get up out of
-
her the coldies and begin to follow God praying. But
-
then you've got a person like King Saul, who seemingly
-
began to possess a little bit a man of the future,
-
a little bit of the promise, a little bit of
-
that thing that seemed like it was gonna last.
-
Forever, from generation to generation.
-
I remember one deviation from God's will, and He's playing
-
left him without her. Theymen the Abrahamic comny. Why did
-
Abraham they been received such a blessing and saw such
-
a cursing? They mean, because your actions, just as Adam
-
and Eva, they could have lived blessing the garden, they man,
-
they could have lived. They made a fruitful life, a
-
long life filled with prosperity. They remember one of them,
-
he was God seeking there and them not seeking God.
-
Too many times we got God seeking the young people here,
-
trying to get ahold of them and get their attention.
-
But you never hear what I'm saying. I've been bashing
-
her and desiring her. They been the heavenly things I've
-
been wanting God. Yeah, and I don't speak of the
-
ministers here, so to speak. Illumination. The illumination we need
-
and receive for our situation is by the revelation of
-
God's word rather Amen, whether it be written or heralded.
-
Amen.
-
The illumination God will talk to you. He will make
-
it clear. You say, Brother Nathaniel, God ain't talked to me. Friend,
-
you just ain't been listening. Probably a year, maybe more
-
or so ago. Amen, we know the undercurrent thema Bethel,
-
and maybe for the youth, has been what seek seek.
-
Every couple of months, the hold of.
-
Ghost comes around and he says, not knock anybody home, seek, Amen,
-
I've been looking.
-
Amen.
-
If that they should seek the Lord. If happly, they
-
might feel after him. He don't even take a whole
-
lot of effort. And man, all you're doing is feeling.
-
He don't say chase him. He don't say saddle horses
-
and ride in the distant countries to find him.
-
It just says, in your local, amen, area.
-
He's right there. And if you just feel after him
-
and seek him, you're gonna find him. You're gonna find
-
the answer to all of life's questions. Ephesians five and thirteen.
-
The latter part we're gonna read the context here. But
-
Ephesians five and thirteen said, for whatsoever doeth, for whatsoever
-
doth make manifest is light. And I want us to
-
understand the context. The Bible did say faith cometh by hearing,
-
hearing by the word of God and in the light
-
beginning to illuminate and make manifest. It makes it visible
-
for you to see. And in that thing that you
-
need to do, and that maybe that obstacle you need
-
to move. Amen, God speaks to you. Now Here is
-
how He speaks to us. Sometimes, and have no fellowship
-
with the unfruitful works of dokness, going back up to verses,
-
and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.
-
Would rather reprove them.
-
And for it is shame even to speak of those
-
things which you're done, of them in secret. Now Here
-
is the verse. But all things that are reproved are
-
made manifest by the light. For whatsoever does make manifest
-
is light. What am I saying tonight, reproof is a
-
measure God will take to illuminate the situation, Amen.
-
That you might find him.
-
It's gonna take, Amen, the light, the shining of God's
-
word in your life, and you come into the knowledge
-
of the truth and accepting what you must do in
-
order for you to begin to make progress down.
-
Amen, this path. And I a simple title here.
-
Amen, I want to tell you seek steal your solution, Amen,
-
Seek and steal Why you haven't possessed it.
-
Amen.
-
This small word here been that's been emphasized so much,
-
and that probably has not been taken Amen, as.
-
Seriously as it should. God's still telling somebody.
-
It may come by reproof, it may come by my word,
-
but we will illuminate your path and tell you clearly
-
when you have gone in the wrong direction. And if
-
he see ceases to do so, he no longer loves
-
you or cares about you.
-
Amen.
-
So you better hear, You better listen, and you better hear.
-
You better look the man a look at what God's
-
telling you and make the adjustment's needed.
-
He that cometh to God must believe that he is.
-
He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
-
In context, as I've said, I'm gonna reiterate some things. Amen,
-
It's all right tonight. Imen, it's gonna be slow. I guess.
-
In context, reproof can be a form or myth that
-
God uses to bring clarity to you, that you might
-
understand that that that is required of you. Jesus told
-
us in John nine and five. He said, I am
-
the light of the world.
-
Amen.
-
So when God speaks to us through tongueen interpretation and
-
through our pastor.
-
Amen, my God.
-
Amen, it's a simplas and this gets said so much,
-
But why why did God heal of cancer? There's a
-
thousand charismatic churches that would like to know that question,
-
but they don't like the method it took to receive it.
-
Because when God shined his light and said, Amen, go
-
to the back door and cast it out, I'm telling
-
you it could me a simple ass pastor telling you
-
to do something. Amen, and missus Wright walked through the door.
-
Because God sauw am in your heart. God saw your response,
-
He saw you take him seriously. He saw you on
-
bens and needles, waiting on the illumination of God in
-
your life.
-
Amen. That made you realize I need to do this.
-
I'm telling you it could be a simple attitude adjustment. Amen,
-
the pastor, and he said it before. Amen, what about
-
that attitude? You wonder why God?
-
And my God?
-
Amen, you wonder why a man it hain't happened? Friend,
-
and God will tell you. God, my God speaks in short,
-
simple sentences, but it's life altering, a direction that must
-
be heeded, that must be yielded to, that submitted to.
-
He is the light of the world. He's the light
-
in my.
-
Life and brother Jesse's liva, and in our pastor's liva,
-
and he will be the light that shines in your life.
-
It tells you what to do. He just word in
-
his heart that he might not sin against God. But
-
God's word is water illuminates the path. It is a laugher,
-
and it is a light. It shows in the area.
-
The lamp shines broadly, and then the light shows him
-
the next step where he goes. From there, they met
-
friend God's Beth, telling you seek them now, I be honest,
-
I don't know what to tell you. I know God
-
talked to a Sunday. I mean, I thank the Lord
-
for the wonderful service and the way he moves in
-
every service Wednesday and all of the above. And then
-
I don't know what to tell you. But you see
-
it there just like I do. And I didn't conjure
-
something up.
-
Either.
-
What woman having pieces of silver, if she lose one,
-
doth not light a kindle and sweep the house and
-
sweep the house begins to sanctify man. I tell you this,
-
I am forever affected because I know what it is
-
to have a father and a pastor. Amen that when
-
he feels like God's trying to talk and move, Amen,
-
he will slow down and say, what do I gotta do?
-
Amen? What do we need to change? Amen?
-
Friend, I've been benefited. I remember those my God, I
-
got four kids. Now that's simply because I went home
-
and swept the house. If you want me to be transparent, amen,
-
I wasn't a gamer, and be truthful with you. It
-
was under my bed. It was under my bed for
-
probably six months. I think the only time I got
-
it out and maybe one of the great regrets. So
-
I'll go ahead and tell you in case you're struggling
-
because this happened, Amen. But one of the only times
-
I got it out is we had a little a
-
fun time there before one convention and some of the
-
young people showed up and we played it, and that
-
might have been the only time. And I don't believe
-
it's all sin and in all regards, Amen, But I
-
can tell you Amen. For me, God knew where I
-
was going, and when God illuminated, I had to sweep, Amen,
-
and I took that.
-
I took that.
-
Little dumb game system outside and then with all the
-
games and all of that trash and eye burning and
-
we had a good burn barrel.
-
Amen.
-
I still remember, Amen, it wasn't even a burn barrel,
-
to be honest, its this pila, Amen, in the backyard,
-
the back left corner, back there, and I lit that
-
little PlayStation on fire. And I didn't feel nothing special.
-
I didn't feel tingly an, I didn't feel nothing. And
-
Pastor said, all right, after you clean out the house,
-
then you're going to go around and annoying the doors.
-
We hadn't know on the doors we had on the.
-
Windows door jams man, we hadn't know on any cars.
-
We an on it.
-
Everything probably but the kitchen sink. Amen, why I've got
-
four kids. It went from us not being able to
-
by the doctor saying so Amen, that everything is fixed
-
and fine. God done a work, Amen that I don't
-
even we don't even know what he done. The doctors
-
don't know what he done. But I went home and
-
swept the house when God shined the light, I went
-
home and cleaned up my life and said, Lord, Amen,
-
I felt that little nudge and I need to go
-
burn that thing. I ain't been on that thing in
-
six months. God, we're still burded. I ain't dug that
-
game out six months, Lord was still burded. My god, Amen,
-
I ain't got them comic but my god, Amen, I
-
shoot aymen.
-
I found some Long Ranger comic Man. I don't know.
-
I'm going nuts this to night. I passed the Long
-
Ranger comic books when I was young, and my god, Amen,
-
I took him home. I put him in the dress.
-
I'll be honest. I didn't even look through him, Amen.
-
I just liked the Lone Ranger, them old old time
-
radio stories.
-
Amen.
-
And then I was in revival and I got to
-
stirred up about them long Angel comic books.
-
Amen.
-
There were some old ones that they were perfectly fine,
-
and I come to this listless new one Amen, And
-
it had the man the most ungodly ads. You want
-
to know what's wrong with comic books, Amen. You ain't
-
even gotta read the nasty ones to see them.
-
Amen.
-
You can collect some of that filth and hold on
-
to it, Amen, because you want to.
-
Pay day in the long run.
-
And the only thing you're gonna be doing is losing
-
your soul is gonna cost you so much more.
-
Amen.
-
There was filtering there and I didn't even know it, Amen,
-
But I was down praying at an altar, and God
-
began to nudge me.
-
Theymen, And I went home and burnt that nasty stuff. Aymen.
-
Actually what I did was shredded some of.
-
It and futch it down the toilet, because I had
-
a death that told me when he was younger. God
-
then with him about some little old playing guards, and
-
I shredded what I could get to flash. And then
-
when that old amen the commode stuffed up, I said,
-
I ain't done with this field, and I would have
-
shredded it in the trash can.
-
They've been a god, they man.
-
It still working in my life, as old as I
-
let him shine the light of his love in my
-
heart and I cleaned my act of I let God
-
clean me up. I let God make a new creature
-
out of me as Christ Jesus. Why let God show
-
me the air of my ways sweeping his sanctification.
-
A e. Jacob.
-
I'm going to Bethel. This ain't biblical, Okay, I'm going
-
to Bethel. God's met me there. Why did he meet
-
me there?
-
What was I doing? What kind of life was I living? Friend?
-
If God's met you in the past and you're needing
-
him to move for you again, it's gonna take him
-
in the same life you were living back then. It's
-
gonna take you doing the same thing you were doing
-
back then. And old Jacob said, that's a holy place.
-
You ain't be bringing that pagan filter. They men to
-
where I know God meets with me. Imagine if he
-
had a polluted Bethel? What about you? Have you polluted
-
the holy place? Have you polluted Amen? Your bedside? They men?
-
Would God even want to come? Amen? Who in your bedroom? Pastor?
-
Priests a message? They man have talked about her. They mean,
-
why do you smell like that?
-
Mayben?
-
It's a since God in Aroma? What you've been doing
-
on your fada? They meant two feet from where you
-
talk to God? They been, why would he come down
-
and you feel the Holy Grocer? When just two minutes
-
ago you were watching people cussing on you. To my God,
-
I know I'm off in left fielder. You want to
-
know why don't talk to you? They mean, why don't
-
that tower you when you pray? You don't feel the
-
Holy grocer. You've done polluted Bethel, You done polluted the
-
holy place.
-
You need to go home and sleep. Wait minute, plan
-
your locked up.
-
Shoe. I don't know where any of this is coming
-
from for the most part. And then I got a
-
hurry I do and left my clock.
-
Amen. I know it's crazy, and this this is a
-
youth service. Amen.
-
I about titled this thing a needle in the haystack.
-
I mean, I'm gonna get ahead of myself here, Amen.
-
But the needle's awful little. Now, I'll be honest with
-
you all. Was walking around. I was walking around praying
-
two sundays ago in here, Amen, and I found I
-
found these two bobby pins. I mean one was up
-
here and one was back there in the corner.
-
Amen.
-
And now I done, and man cut them up. So
-
I mean I owe y'all one sin or whatever they're worth,
-
whoever they were. You lost them, you didn't find them,
-
probably didn't even know you lost them.
-
Amen.
-
And we've lost some things. We're missing some things, and
-
we may not even realize it. But God's trying to
-
tell us tonight.
-
Amen.
-
It takes the word of God, you being honest with
-
yourself and your situation and then begins to take amen
-
a sanctification process. She began to amen by realizing she
-
was missing something. She saw its value and wanted to
-
recover it, and there's some that don't even just don't
-
even want to recover it.
-
Amen.
-
We could go off Amen for thirty minutes and Amen,
-
and preach about David and him Amen, pursuing those that
-
burnt Zick lagging.
-
Amen.
-
He wanted to recover that that he had lost, and
-
God said go for it, and David did.
-
Amen.
-
After he consulted God, she saw the value. She knew
-
she needed in her life to live a better life.
-
And she understood a man seeking was her solution. And man,
-
she understood that she had to do something. I know,
-
I know this is different. I can only deliver this
-
in the method God's letting me. I'm telling you. I'm
-
preaching to me too. Pastor would tell you he's not
-
an anomaly. God would like to God would like to
-
bless you all and in the way he does.
-
And I look at Pastor just like all you do.
-
So I'm standing here in shoeleather like you, saying God,
-
what makes that happen?
-
How do I get there? What do I do? You
-
realize that that's what?
-
At least a person when with some sense says okay,
-
that person got somewhere.
-
I'd like to be Now, how they do it. What
-
were the stepping stones?
-
Amen, friend, Amen, sacrifice and sanctification, and then we all
-
know Amen as one way.
-
Amen.
-
Pastor has taught us you get the God when God
-
tells you something.
-
Sacrifices the key. Amen.
-
When God tells you something, sanctification Amen is another key.
-
Amen.
-
Looking at the setting year, it could have been possibly
-
a man was night.
-
Amen, she felt like it was. Amen. It was necessary
-
to light a candle. Amen.
-
It isn't convenient to seek the Holy ghost. It isn't
-
convenient to seek a wife or a husband. It isn't
-
convenient to draw nigh to God and amen, and him
-
and petition him that he might give you the desires
-
of your heart.
-
Amen. I'm not up here amen pretending. Amen.
-
Pastor being up for three and four hours of the night, Amen,
-
it is uh. Is it just something Amen? That happens
-
and all he wakes up feeling like a spring chicken.
-
That is not the case. Amen, But my God, and
-
I'm get ahead of myself again.
-
Amen. Some of us can get out.
-
Of church and ayman, if the right person says the word,
-
we drive the waffle house. We just didn't want to
-
pray for five minutes after a pastor preached his heart
-
out and talked to us, and we know it was
-
a message, Amen, that could have changed our lives.
-
But we're willing to seek. Waffle. How you understand what
-
I'm saying.
-
We're willing to seek a forty five minute drive there,
-
a thirty minute fellowship, and a forty five minute drive back.
-
But we all know we're needing things spiritually. We're needing
-
God to do something.
-
Amen. So what's it gonna take? Is it gonna my God?
-
I mean, you gotta listen when he says, Amen to
-
do these things, you gotta take him seriously. Amen.
-
You gotta take the word of God through the prophet seriously. Amen.
-
Praise God.
-
But this woman here, her honesty and her current situation,
-
it pushed her into this state of seeking.
-
Amen.
-
Now what if your self awareness? You ever met them people? Amen?
-
They don't even know their breath stinks? Amen.
-
I'm sorry, why do you smell like that? She was
-
self aware. She realized I need this. I'm not pushing somebody. Man,
-
Brother Jeremiad sister Hannah both got her. Sister Hannah wasn't
-
super late, but some of them got married later in life.
-
And man but I can tell you there was a
-
lot of seeking involved. See I'm not pushing somebody to
-
premature marriage, but my God, I mean some of you
-
can can be on the cell phone till two and
-
two or three in the morning, you know, and then
-
how much prayer did you do? Do you really want it?
-
Are you really? Do you actually desire where your treasure
-
is there, where your heart be? Also, my God, because
-
of her honesty, it pushed her into a state of seeking.
-
She lights a kindle, Amen for some light, and she
-
begins to clean up her act. God will Now I
-
want to say this pastor preaches to me and Amen.
-
Now I'm just going to throw it out there and
-
hope it's just anying to Amen.
-
Was when he said it to me.
-
But God will not give you pure, a pure and
-
holy bride when you have nasty hands. You don't know
-
how many times I heard fast and say that to
-
me when I was looking for a wife, My God, Amen,
-
And every time it just it hit me. And I
-
want to tell you something else he told me. The
-
Bible says give not that which is holy to the dogs.
-
Now God is the author of her story, young man.
-
And God is the author of his story, young lady.
-
He is the one that is beginning her story. He
-
is the one that is ending her story. And man,
-
don't expect him to run her through the mud for
-
you when you got about attitude. Don't expect him to
-
run her through the mud when you got your feelings
-
on your shoulders. And God knows good and well him. Man,
-
just the right thing sends you packing. You're out of
-
the will of God. And who do you drag? You
-
drag his beloved child, his beloved daughter that he loved
-
so much he died for. I mean, if you ain't
-
got clean hands, God ain't gonna give you, Amen, something
-
that's holy. If you ain't living like you need to
-
be Amen. The first thing you need to do, Amen,
-
is start seeking God.
-
Hey, she come hold every buddy I know.
-
But yes, said O, my God, I beseech you there
-
for brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present
-
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God. Which
-
is your reasonable service? It's it's your acceptable service. A
-
question I asked myself, and you should too, is amen?
-
Is it reasonable?
-
Amen? It isn't fair?
-
But then I ask myself, Lord, is it acceptable? It's
-
what I'm giving you acceptable if I would rather hang
-
out and waffle house that pray through to the good
-
old fashioned sweet Holy Ghost and I spin on her.
-
May bet the third person of the true God ahead
-
and act like I can't pray for five minutes for
-
the Holy Ghost. Maybe don't you wonder why God ain't
-
moving for you and making it easy?
-
Then?
-
Because you've got to let God, they ben becoming.
-
The priority in your life.
-
This coin was priority. It took precedents over sleep. But
-
when will the desires of your heart take precedents over
-
they been a nafa take precedence over laying in your.
-
Bed on your phone.
-
When my God's word really stir you to the pointer,
-
you hunger and thirst after His righteousness. But then you'll
-
be felled. Then't you'll find her and then you'll receive
-
what have you been offering God? If you be honest,
-
I know you'll about out of this. I'm about done, Luke,
-
chapter number twelve. And you could look there verse thirty one.
-
But rather seek ye the Kingdom of God, and all
-
these things shall be added unto you, Luke twelve thirty one.
-
But rather seek you the Kingdom of God and all
-
these things shall be added.
-
Unto you, I feel like I'm preaching to a brick wall.
-
To be honest, she has lost something and then a
-
man praise God. There are others that are trying to
-
find something, but both seeking God and man have the
-
same solution. Both needing God to move have the same solution.
-
Some seek for.
-
Wealth and they spend their live. Brother, Philip Man, you
-
remember that young man Amen. At work, we had a
-
hurricane ride out team. I hope you see yourself, because
-
we all do it in different ways. We had a
-
hurricane rideout team and I ain't never seen anything like this.
-
And this young man had a stock at pastor and I.
-
Ain't kidding you.
-
Every fifteen minutes from probably midnight to five in the morning.
-
Every fifteen minutes.
-
That man worked eight hours a day, showed up sometimes
-
five minutes late max, but most of the time was early.
-
And he would be up from from midnight to five
-
in the morning, every fifteen minutes trading penny stocks. He
-
chased wealth, he pursued, he sought after it, he was
-
after it.
-
He was getting up and getting going.
-
And you've been given one of them, one of the
-
great You've been given the greatest privilege humanity could ever
-
have been given, salvation, sanctification, the Holy Goost, baptism, and
-
then you get to go on. We don't have to stop. Amen,
-
we get to go on unto Amen. The gifts of
-
the spirit. The Bible said that we get to covet
-
those better things. We get to covet those greater gifts. Amen,
-
we don't have to stop, we get to move it
-
keep moving up. But this young man, man, I don't know.
-
I wouldn't. Amen.
-
Shoot, I wouldn't if if I knew in two years
-
i'd be a millionaire.
-
I don't think i'd be up like that young man was.
-
But man, I tell you what a fifteen minutes since
-
Syria Alder service, Amen, to make you a whole lot
-
wealthier than that young man spending his life chasing stuff
-
like that.
-
We chase degrees.
-
They chase degrees, they chase learning, they chase new abilities
-
and rare collectibles.
-
They chase knowledge. I mean hours and hours have spent.
-
And if they offer that to the God of their desire,
-
I mean, what do we offer God when we're desiring
-
something of him? What are we actually giving him?
-
Amen? I donet lost one of them. I had two
-
of them.
-
Now there it is, Amen, I'd like to I started
-
to grab a I started to grab some hay from
-
pastors and hide these. And see just how long it
-
took some of us to find it, Amen, because I
-
know some of us would. Some of us would get
-
in there and look for it. Aneda win a haystack.
-
Artists then spent eighteen hours to manually locate one singular
-
needle in a haystack.
-
Now it don't stop there.
-
And man, this man named Jim moron, and I had
-
called him a moron, it might have been Jim Amen
-
spent eighty two hours searching fifty tons of hay for
-
one little old needle.
-
It did.
-
He didn't get to sell it for millions. It was
-
probably just an experiment. Man, You ought to experiment on God,
-
so to speak. He said, Try me prove me herewith
-
saith the Lord, and see will I not open up
-
the windows of heaven?
-
What be wrong with you saying? Let me say this week.
-
I'm on a fast, two meals, and I'm gonna make
-
sure I spend amen at least one hour in prayer. Friend,
-
If you spent one hour in prayer, Amen, and you
-
made sure that you spent one hour in prayer even
-
to measure up to mister Jim, Amen, seeking some stupid
-
old little needle. Amen, It take you eighty two days
-
to meet his effort. It take you almost three months
-
to match that man in prayer. Amen, searching for something
-
so insignificant. But we want God to pour out the
-
blessings of God on us.
-
Amen.
-
And we won't even put in the effort some man
-
put in for some little old amen meaningless nothing.
-
Amen. What about you? Where are your priorities in reality? Amen?
-
Are you actually willing to search for that? And I'm
-
getting somewhere here? And Amen, I'll be honest, this is
-
where it started for me. And you can look at
-
Proverbs thirty one and ten, and man, how you gonna
-
pray over this?
-
I don't know, Amen.
-
I just can preach to you, Amen, the things that amen,
-
pastor Amen, God used pastor amen to tell me to
-
change my life.
-
And hope that you're listening.
-
The Bible said in Proverbs thirty one and verse number ten,
-
who can find a virtuous woman for her price is
-
far above rubies? Who can find her? Who could find it?
-
Tonight? If I threw it out there and it was
-
the promises of God.
-
Who would even attempt if it took you eighty two hours?
-
Who would even try? Man, I guarantee you, Amen. Ten
-
hours in somebody saying Pastor, I've got to work tomorrow.
-
I know I need a husband and I need a wife,
-
but man, I've got to work. But Pastor's given you
-
some simple instructions some of us, and he gave some
-
of us. Say, man, that if we reaped the benefits
-
of God some simple instructions and we followed them.
-
Amen.
-
I'm not telling you tonight you got to spend eighty
-
two hours in here, amen, and try to find Amen.
-
But I'm telling you at your home, on your bed
-
at night, Amen, and down by your bedside, you can
-
get a prayer through when you can get serious with God.
-
Amen. And God can make something happen.
-
He Man, God can make you cross past with people
-
you wasn't expecting to aymen, he said, here, who can
-
find a virtuous woman? Now he also said he couldn't
-
find He said he found some young men. But if
-
I read that ride, but he said he couldn't find
-
one among a thousand. Now the context for this, and
-
I found this. I found this crazy. He had he
-
had what most believed to be seven hundred wives and
-
three hundred concubines. And then he literally had one thousand
-
women plus in his life. And Solomon wrote to us
-
and said, one among a thousand, I could not find.
-
What was he telling us?
-
Well, where'd he look? He married Pharro's daughter, He ran
-
around with the queen of Sheba. He married women from Moab,
-
he married women from from from Edom. He married so
-
many women. From where are you looking? You know, there's
-
a lot of people and men looking in the wrong
-
places for God's willing, God's word. That's why the Bible
-
said seek me first. What about it, Solomon? What if
-
you to actually buckle down and prayed? What if you
-
to actually buckle down and salt God? What if you'd
-
have took it? I know I sing it, but I
-
love to be right here, and I know I get
-
down there sometimes when I feel God stirby. I'm not
-
above saying that was my message. I'm gonna pray. Somebody
-
else is singing this morning. You realize the opportunity you
-
have to take God and his word. Amen, and kneel
-
down and say, well, Pastor said, I've got to do this.
-
And because the word of God said so, and Amen,
-
God forewarned me, or foretold me. They man of how
-
I get around this, or get above this, or receive
-
this or retain this even Amen, But we never find
-
ourselves at the altar. We never find ourselves Amen, at
-
the foot of our bed that night, we never find
-
ourselves in our prayer closet. That next day, we never
-
think about it and reminisce on it. They mean, why
-
we eat lunch the next day? They man, we never
-
really spend time. They been really contemplating what God said,
-
the promises of the Lord or yeah.
-
And they are a man God.
-
Really wants to move and worker. God really wants to
-
give you that wad blessing. Amen, But you're gonna have
-
to pursue it and search for it. They been like
-
you actually wanted her. They met some of you wouldn't
-
convince her. Amen, Praise God God.
-
Amen.
-
In the McDonald's drive through, that you wanted a double cheeseburger,
-
the way you talk to him about her, your promises.
-
I'll say it again, if.
-
God worked the double cheeseburger line in McDonald's, the way
-
you come through there apathetically been without any desire or Emosida.
-
He wouldn't know if you wanted to mc chicken up
-
or a mcdonbell.
-
My God, do you want a woman from me to her?
-
Do your want Fro's daughter? Or do you want a
-
virtuous woman? Ay man? Who can find her? God knows
-
where she's at her.
-
God knows just where the needle we is a in
-
the haystacker, in that old messing, mixed up world. He remember,
-
do you actually desire it?
-
He who about?
-
Don't be discouraged, be diligent, don't be discouraged, be diligent.
-
We seek God first? What a putting God at the
-
top of the list Jamia twenty nine and thirteen. And
-
ye shall seek me and find me? Hey, maen brother
-
Jesse she I don't know what you're gonna sing, AmAm,
-
but if you got a song on your heart, you
-
can play and sing. If not, and then we can
-
come around here and pretend while some pray. And ye
-
shall seek me and find me, when ye shall search
-
for me with all your heart, hicu who but of
-
us you tell me it will take nothing less than
-
all of your heart. That's not my words, that is
-
God's words. And he told us, if you're going to
-
find me, and I Am going to be fond of you.
-
It is going to take every bit of your heart,
-
your desires, your passions. You're going to get serious about
-
it and really think about it. Amen, and let God know. Amen,
-
I'm interested in what you have for me. Aymen, some
-
of you will find that out your church, and some
-
of you might naughtymen. But I don't know how long
-
it'll take you. I don't even know if you can
-
see him flying. And ye shall seek me and find me,
-
when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
-
I mean, let's stand to night. If seeking was a guarantee,
-
would you seek him? If seeking was a guarantee that
-
you would see the desires of your heart, would you
-
seek him. God's already promised us through tongues and interpretations
-
many times that he is going to be fond of
-
us if we seek him, covet desire, seek the best gifts.
-
He said.
-
I mean, I've tried slightly and just to talk to
-
you about the method and simple the method. Seeking is
-
your solution. God will illuminate what you need to do.
-
He will shine into your life and tell you at
-
times it requires sanctification and sweeping at times it requires
-
self sacrifice.
-
Aman, I did it takes diligence. Seek him a man.
-
Don't forget about it next week, don't forget about got
-
it tomorrow when you wake up. I know my pastor,
-
and I've seen the life that man lives when he's
-
after God for something.
-
The volleyball filled tomorrow.
-
Wouldn't tear his concentration away.
-
I admire that more than I can ever put into words.
-
I want to ben to get a prayer through. I
-
want to have Heaven stop and listen. We have a
-
wonderful church, a strong youth group, a youth group that
-
is full of the Holy Ghost and.
-
Power of God.
-
And we have promises available to us and an atmosphere
-
to find it, like primed with the power of God,
-
that he would open up his windows a man like
-
I dare you to find somewhere else.
-
I say, you couldn't.
-
So slow down and realize you're missing something, Identify what
